- 0:59Speaker 4: They both just.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Got the cutest puppies, you guys, if you don't follow

- 1:26Speaker 5: Winnidy, I can't I do Whinny the little boop nows.
- 1:35Speaker 4: It's Benny right or Benji.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Ben Hogan what we call him.
- 1:41Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, she's a little fluff.
- 1:44Speaker 4: How old is your dogy?
- 1:46Speaker 5: She's exactly twelve weeks?
- 1:48Speaker 1: Okay, Benny is nine weeks.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Okay, you guys, you guys, Oh my, hi, Benny.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Hi.
- 1:56Speaker 1: We don't deserve that, are you? No, we don't deserve that.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 2:03Speaker 6: How are you liking being a dog mom, Mollie, Hey,
- 2:05Speaker 6: you guys.
- 2:06Speaker 5: I have never owned a dog in.
- 2:08Speaker 3: My life ever, Jason, Jason has never owned a dog
- 2:13Speaker 3: in his life, So this is like, this is new.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Very numerous dog.
- 2:19Speaker 3: But she is really really good, Like she is super smart.
- 2:23Speaker 3: She sleeps well, she wakes up maybe twice last night.
- 2:26Speaker 5: She woke up once. She came to us, great trained
- 2:30Speaker 5: and litterbox trained.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I heard that.
- 2:34Speaker 4: I love it.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Okay, I need to ask all of these questions. But
- 2:37Speaker 2: before we do, do you need to go put Winnie down?
- 2:39Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:39Speaker 3: I want to put her down for a nap so
- 2:40Speaker 3: I can actually okay, okay.
- 2:43Speaker 6: And I was thinking I'd have to do the same thing.
- 2:45Speaker 6: But Benny has been so good, like he's just like
- 2:49Speaker 6: he's just sleeping here at my feet.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I'm like, you're an angel.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Angel. Okay, so is he trained well?
- 2:56Speaker 1: He is now, I've worked really hard.
- 2:58Speaker 6: On it, but yeah, yeah, we've prey trained him and
- 3:01Speaker 6: he's been really good. He has slept through the night,
- 3:03Speaker 6: like three nights in a row, nine hours straight.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Do you guys have dogs?
- 3:09Speaker 4: We do, and we always have.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I grew up with dogs, and then Ryan had a
- 3:14Speaker 2: husky when we got engaged, and so she became my
- 3:18Speaker 2: dog obviously, and then he gave me a five pound
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yorky like early on in our marriage, named Tank. And
- 3:26Speaker 2: then we got Sophie, who was a rescue who passed
- 3:29Speaker 2: about three years ago. And then we have Quota, who
- 3:32Speaker 2: is a rescue now. So we've had a lot of dogs.
- 3:34Speaker 2: But I know, Molly, you're brand new to dogs. And Michelle,
- 3:38Speaker 2: you just lost a dog, right.
- 3:41Speaker 1: We lost thirteen year old German shepherd. I know.
- 3:44Speaker 6: So I'm married into the dog world because I didn't
- 3:46Speaker 6: really grow up.
- 3:48Speaker 1: We had a dog, but I.
- 3:48Speaker 6: Wasn't really connected to it. So I feel like this
- 3:51Speaker 6: is my baby, like this is. It's crazy how it's
- 3:55Speaker 6: very similar to like newborn babies.
- 3:58Speaker 5: I think a baby basier. You could be right, yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 5: I think the baby is baby. Yeah, you like put
- 4:04Speaker 5: them in a thing and you can walk away a
- 4:07Speaker 5: dog totally.
- 4:11Speaker 4: That's so true. You're so right.
- 4:13Speaker 2: There are so many similarities. And I hate it when
- 4:16Speaker 2: people like knock people down for saying that they have
- 4:20Speaker 2: babies who are for babies, like Caitlin for example. I
- 4:23Speaker 2: know that she just posted about something about how you
- 4:27Speaker 2: know some troll was like, oh whatever, you always post
- 4:29Speaker 2: about your babies. But dogs are a lot of work,
- 4:33Speaker 2: and so are other pets.
- 4:34Speaker 4: But dogs are a lot.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Of work totally, and they are like children.
- 4:38Speaker 2: They are our children.
- 4:42Speaker 1: But totally sure.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Okay, So Molly, did you grow up I don't think
- 4:48Speaker 4: you grew up with pets. Did you with dogs?
- 4:51Speaker 5: No?
- 4:51Speaker 4: I didn't think so.
- 4:52Speaker 6: No.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I had like a hamster and a fish. So, but
- 4:56Speaker 3: I mean, I think mister you maybe knew this. So
- 4:59Speaker 3: Riley was born terrified of.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Dogs, Yes, I did know that, Yes, all.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Of her life and it was severe, like debilitating to
- 5:09Speaker 3: the point where it was affecting her life, like through
- 5:11Speaker 3: elementary school, like she couldn't go to someone's house at
- 5:13Speaker 3: a dog or like her good friends would have to
- 5:15Speaker 3: put her their ball.
- 5:16Speaker 5: Came over and she would look at me and beg me.
- 5:20Speaker 3: She's like, please help me, please fix this, like it's
- 5:23Speaker 3: wrecking my life. And so we even did like exposure
- 5:25Speaker 3: therapy with her. I would take her to the library
- 5:29Speaker 3: where they have like service dogs read you could read
- 5:32Speaker 3: with service dogs, so she could see from a distance
- 5:34Speaker 3: like how sweet dogs could be. And none of it
- 5:38Speaker 3: really helped. And I've had people on Instagram all the
- 5:41Speaker 3: time being like.
- 5:41Speaker 5: My kids afraid of dogs? What did you do for Riley?
- 5:44Speaker 3: She this is like the most frustrating excuse for anyone
- 5:48Speaker 3: going through it. But like she it was age and
- 5:52Speaker 3: it was going to middle school, like your friend group expands,
- 5:55Speaker 3: and so she had all these new friends and she
- 5:57Speaker 3: was embarrassed about this fear. I know about it, and
- 6:02Speaker 3: so she kind of just.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Like forced herself to like dogs.
- 6:06Speaker 3: So that no one knew she her friends have dogs.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Do our friends, Oh, all of our friends have dogs.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Everyone has dogs, but they would always be they grew
- 6:13Speaker 3: up with Riley, so they would put.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Them away when she came over.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Okay, but over the past two years, she's gotten way
- 6:19Speaker 3: more comfortable with small dogs, and she finally was like,
- 6:22Speaker 3: I really want one.
- 6:23Speaker 1: That's so cool. Yeah, good for good for her.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Yeah, she fought through.
- 6:27Speaker 4: It, I know. And good for you.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I know. I remember talking to you about it and
- 6:32Speaker 2: for being so proactive about it and trying to like
- 6:35Speaker 2: help her through that with the exposure therapy and you know,
- 6:40Speaker 2: anything that you could do the library and all of that.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I think that's really really important because it's like, there
- 6:47Speaker 2: are dogs everywhere and you don't want you don't want
- 6:50Speaker 2: your kid to be afraid. You know, that would be
- 6:52Speaker 2: especially if she hadn't been attacked or anything.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Oh, nothing bad happened, but it would just be sad
- 6:57Speaker 3: when like a new friend would invite her to come
- 6:59Speaker 3: over and she'd be like, you have to ask if
- 7:02Speaker 3: they have a dog, because if they have a dog,
- 7:03Speaker 3: I can't go. And I'm like, this is going to
- 7:05Speaker 3: ruin your life. Like and she did, she did it,
- 7:09Speaker 3: and she's great, so amazing.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so Brielle, it looks like Brielle and Benny are besties.
- 7:16Speaker 6: Besties, the bestist. She's like begging me to buy her
- 7:21Speaker 6: a daughter. I'm my babe, you need to get a
- 7:22Speaker 6: job first, and like also no, but she comes over
- 7:28Speaker 6: like every day and they just have to keep this
- 7:30Speaker 6: little bond. But these dogs really are so amazing at
- 7:33Speaker 6: like healing, you know, like they give you that comfort
- 7:36Speaker 6: I'm out like and so it's it's really grounded all
- 7:39Speaker 6: of us. So yeah, Brielle loves him.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah, So but how is she still you mentioned healing?
- 7:46Speaker 2: Do you feel like she's still healing from her accident?
- 7:49Speaker 2: Is this just a lifelong healing that's going to be
- 7:51Speaker 2: you know what?
- 7:53Speaker 6: Brain injuries are so interesting because you can't see, like
- 7:56Speaker 6: I don't know right, Like I don't know if she
- 7:58Speaker 6: still has residual issues from it or not. We just
- 8:02Speaker 6: assume she doesn't, right, So yeah, you know, and so
- 8:06Speaker 6: much of it is like, you know, her accident. It's
- 8:09Speaker 6: been six years now since her TBI. You know, she
- 8:14Speaker 6: was fifteen years old when it happened, and that span
- 8:16Speaker 6: of life is like you're also like growing up hormones,
- 8:22Speaker 6: you know, so it's hard to know like is this
- 8:25Speaker 6: like hormonal you know, emotional up and down rollercoaster because
- 8:30Speaker 6: of the TBI or because she's like, you know, seventeen
- 8:34Speaker 6: years old. So she is doing so fantastic. You would
- 8:39Speaker 6: never know that she had suffered and gone through so much,
- 8:43Speaker 6: but we like to just assume that she's totally healed.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Good, And for everyone out there who's listening and doesn't
- 8:52Speaker 2: isn't up on the story. Brielle is Michelle's daughter, and
- 8:55Speaker 2: she suffered a horrible traumatic brain injury after a skateboarding accident.
- 9:00Speaker 2: And is I mean I have just seen her through Instagram,
- 9:04Speaker 2: of course, but I would assume that if you met
- 9:08Speaker 2: her in person, you wouldn't be able to even tell me.
- 9:11Speaker 1: No, you never know.
- 9:12Speaker 6: In fact, she's so like I think that going through
- 9:15Speaker 6: something is so difficult for her, Like she's had to
- 9:17Speaker 6: really the biggest struggle that I think she's had is
- 9:21Speaker 6: learning to trust herself, because she was struggling with memory
- 9:25Speaker 6: issues and she couldn't like she didn't know if a
- 9:29Speaker 6: memory she had was real or something that she created
- 9:33Speaker 6: in her head, and so she lost kind.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Of her ability to trust herself.
- 9:39Speaker 6: And so she's had to really work on that part
- 9:42Speaker 6: of herself, and she has worked so hard, and so
- 9:46Speaker 6: it's almost like it's made her more confident, more.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Secure in who she is.
- 9:52Speaker 6: She's had to really focus on building that relationship with
- 9:54Speaker 6: her and her higher self, and so yeah, not only
- 9:58Speaker 6: would you not know that she's been through anything traumatic,
- 10:01Speaker 6: but you'd be like, oh, my gosh, this is like
- 10:04Speaker 6: she's like a thirty five year old and a twenty
- 10:06Speaker 6: one year old body, right, So right, yeah.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Michelle, her story for Riley and all of her friends.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, for forever, Like you're getting on that scooter,
- 10:19Speaker 3: if you are getting on that bike, if you are
- 10:20Speaker 3: getting on whatever contracture you are putting.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Yeah, put the helmet on.
- 10:24Speaker 6: I mean, that's the one of the most beautiful things
- 10:27Speaker 6: that's come from this. Is like we'll run into people
- 10:30Speaker 6: all the time who are like, I have my child
- 10:32Speaker 6: to wear their helmet all the time because of your story.
- 10:35Speaker 6: And I mean there have been stories of families who
- 10:39Speaker 6: have messaged us and been like I wasn't going to
- 10:42Speaker 6: put the helmet on, but I remembered your story. I
- 10:44Speaker 6: put the helmet on, and my child got hit by
- 10:48Speaker 6: a car like my child would have My gosh, the
- 10:51Speaker 6: crazy stuff like that where you just have to think, like, Wow,
- 10:54Speaker 6: there was like a higher purpose to all this, you know, Yeah.
- 10:57Speaker 4: For sure.
- 10:58Speaker 2: So when you and you looked at puppies, was the
- 11:03Speaker 2: breed something that you guys looked into both for Riley's
- 11:08Speaker 2: issues and for Brielle's issues, just because you know that
- 11:12Speaker 2: obviously she's going to be or the puppies going to
- 11:14Speaker 2: be around Brielle a lot. Did you guys both consider
- 11:17Speaker 2: the breeds when you were looking for puppies based on
- 11:20Speaker 2: what your family needed, Yeah.
- 11:22Speaker 5: I mean we did. I definitely. I never thought I
- 11:26Speaker 5: was going to get a dog, never wanted a dog.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Jason did not want a dog, and so if we
- 11:30Speaker 3: were going to get one, it was going to be
- 11:31Speaker 3: something small, something hypoergenic, something that doesn't shed, like I'm
- 11:36Speaker 3: a psycho clean freak, and I wanted one that was
- 11:40Speaker 3: obviously small for Riley, but just the brains and the
- 11:43Speaker 3: smart and so when he's a multi poos so she's
- 11:46Speaker 3: got poodle in her, which makes her super smart, perfect Maltice.
- 11:50Speaker 3: She's just cozy and cuddly and all that. So it's
- 11:53Speaker 3: perfect for our home.
- 11:55Speaker 6: Yeah, and we just love I've always loved goldens. I've
- 11:58Speaker 6: always loved goldens. So it was just as simple like, yes,
- 12:02Speaker 6: I need a Goulden. They're just they like smile, ye, smile.
- 12:09Speaker 6: They're so sweet.
- 12:11Speaker 4: You're a picture of Michelle this morning.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I think you put you put it on your story
- 12:15Speaker 2: and you're like, you, guys, this is not Ai.
- 12:18Speaker 4: This is my actual dog.
- 12:20Speaker 6: It's like what Mike and I will just be like
- 12:23Speaker 6: sitting there going like that's our dog, Like this is
- 12:26Speaker 6: our dog, Like how this is such a perfect little
- 12:29Speaker 6: creature and he's ours. Like we exchanged money and then
- 12:32Speaker 6: we took the dog and now it's ours.
- 12:35Speaker 1: It's so weird, so crazy.
- 12:37Speaker 4: I will say, you know, you're in the like baby
- 12:40Speaker 4: phase where they're cute and cudi.
- 12:43Speaker 2: And all the things. There is a teenage phase when uh, yeah,
- 12:47Speaker 2: I'm sorry to say, what has been the hardest that
- 12:51Speaker 2: that might be a little bit hard coming up. So
- 12:54Speaker 2: just for preparation, I have had quite a few dogs.
- 12:57Speaker 2: What has been the hardest part so far of what
- 13:00Speaker 2: you guys are dealing with. I know I'm sleeping wonderfully,
- 13:03Speaker 2: but they.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Sleep with so much.
- 13:05Speaker 6: But I think it's like just you have to be
- 13:07Speaker 6: so on top of getting them out to go potty,
- 13:09Speaker 6: like they if he goes pee in the house, it's
- 13:12Speaker 6: my fault, right, Like you have to literally take them
- 13:15Speaker 6: out like every thirty minutes, and you're kind of like, well,
- 13:18Speaker 6: he didn't drink that much water. I'm sure he's fine,
- 13:20Speaker 6: and then you like turn a corner and there's like
- 13:22Speaker 6: a puddle and like, oh my gosh. Like but that's
- 13:27Speaker 6: been the hardest part, is like getting him to like
- 13:30Speaker 6: really want to go out and go potty on his own.
- 13:32Speaker 6: But I know it will just come with time, But
- 13:35Speaker 6: that for me has been the hardest.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Yeah, for me, it's just the freedom is gone. You know,
- 13:44Speaker 3: my life was chaotic with like work and kids and
- 13:47Speaker 3: activities and all of that. Just like not having the freedom.
- 13:51Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my gosh, when will we get to
- 13:52Speaker 3: the point where she just like exists in our house
- 13:55Speaker 3: and I can come and go as I please.
- 13:56Speaker 1: And yeah, yeah, litterbox be nice. Well, the little box.
- 14:03Speaker 5: The litter box is great.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Like I've been able to leave like two hours at
- 14:06Speaker 3: a time and not worry, Like she's.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Fine, that's awesome.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Yeah, But so you have her in a crate and
- 14:12Speaker 2: then her litter box is in the crate.
- 14:14Speaker 5: Well, she's in during the day.
- 14:15Speaker 3: She's got a pen that has her crate in it
- 14:18Speaker 3: that's open, and then her litter box is also in there.
- 14:21Speaker 3: But like when we're found, we leave her pen open
- 14:24Speaker 3: so she can just come in and out, and she'll
- 14:26Speaker 3: like stop in the middle of playing and just walk
- 14:28Speaker 3: in there and go pee.
- 14:29Speaker 1: It's wow.
- 14:31Speaker 3: And I really thought for a while, I was like
- 14:33Speaker 3: the first couple days, I'm like, I want to keep
- 14:34Speaker 3: this litter box forever. This is so easy. We'll have
- 14:37Speaker 3: so much freedom. But I'm like, I don't know, I
- 14:39Speaker 3: feel like that brings a whole other issues, you know,
- 14:42Speaker 3: Like I want her to be that goes potty outside,
- 14:44Speaker 3: So I'm going to see it month total.
- 14:47Speaker 5: I guess the vet was like.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Just move it closer and closer to the door, and
- 14:51Speaker 3: then move it right outside and then I'll get her
- 14:53Speaker 3: to the potty area.
- 14:55Speaker 2: And then also traveling like you don't want to be
- 14:57Speaker 2: you have to bring a litter box right when you try.
- 15:00Speaker 2: And then Heather, my producer, just got a puppy recently
- 15:04Speaker 2: and she was saying that you can get fresh grass
- 15:08Speaker 2: delivery to your house each week, delivered to the house
- 15:11Speaker 2: in one piece that rolls out on a tray.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Have you guys ever heard of that?
- 15:16Speaker 1: Never in my life. Not crazy, that's amazing.
- 15:21Speaker 2: If you don't have like a yard, I both of
- 15:23Speaker 2: you have yards, so this is an issue for you.
- 15:26Speaker 4: But for people, like in apartments in New York City.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Or whatever, like what a great option, I know, Or
- 15:32Speaker 2: if you're traveling, you could actually do that to hotel rooms.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Probably the house.
- 15:40Speaker 4: So smart. I love that, Heather, I love it.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Yes, And if you can't get to the outdoors, if
- 15:46Speaker 2: you're you know, stuck inside working on podcasts, then you.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Just there you go, there's your little litter box. I
- 15:53Speaker 4: love it.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Okay, So are either of you ever going to be
- 15:59Speaker 2: the kind of dog parents who let your dog sleep
- 16:01Speaker 2: in your bedes?
- 16:04Speaker 5: No?
- 16:08Speaker 1: No? Yes?
- 16:12Speaker 4: Did Lobo sleep on the bed?
- 16:13Speaker 1: No?
- 16:14Speaker 6: And I would try to get him to and he wouldn't.
- 16:17Speaker 6: He was really no, he would not.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I literally okay with it, I mean not.
- 16:24Speaker 6: Really, but we're gonna We're gonna have to get used
- 16:28Speaker 6: to it because I want to spoon my golden Oh
- 16:34Speaker 6: my gosh, I know, I don't know, and maybe I'll
- 16:37Speaker 6: regret it and maybe I'll change my mind. But like,
- 16:41Speaker 6: because Lobo was such a like lone wolf, and he
- 16:44Speaker 6: was like he was dog aggressive actually, so we really
- 16:46Speaker 6: couldn't take it anywhere.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Like I wanted.
- 16:50Speaker 6: I always wanted to cuddle with him, and he just
- 16:52Speaker 6: was not a cuddly dog, and so I want this
- 16:56Speaker 6: dog to be just like a velcrow dog.
- 17:10Speaker 4: So I am allergic to dogs.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Actually, even though I've had dogs all I know, right,
- 17:15Speaker 2: even though I've had dogs all my life, I have
- 17:18Speaker 2: had tons of dogs. And when Ryan and I got
- 17:22Speaker 2: married and I started living with him and Natasha are
- 17:26Speaker 2: husky at the time, I did shots so that I
- 17:29Speaker 2: would be less.
- 17:30Speaker 4: But I still.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Have like if I pet my dogs or any other dogs,
- 17:36Speaker 2: and I have to like immediately go wash my hands
- 17:37Speaker 2: because if I touch my eyes or any other part
- 17:39Speaker 2: of my body, I get hives. So I am the
- 17:43Speaker 2: person I cannot have my dogs sleep in my bed,
- 17:46Speaker 2: like even on the couches. I'm like, really sorry. And
- 17:49Speaker 2: I know, Molly, you're a little bit of a clean freak,
- 17:51Speaker 2: so I can't imagine that when you will be allowed
- 17:54Speaker 2: on my couch.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Okay, on the couch.
- 17:57Speaker 3: It's it's actually the one who was like, that dog
- 18:01Speaker 3: is not sleeping in our room. Like Jason didn't want
- 18:04Speaker 3: the dog. He did not want the dog. And guess
- 18:06Speaker 3: who Winnie gets the most excited to see.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Yeah, she's also so small that I think I would
- 18:13Speaker 6: be afraid at all, Like like, yeah, I.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Don't know he.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Didn't want the dog in the room, and now that
- 18:21Speaker 3: she is not, her create is not in our room.
- 18:25Speaker 3: I think it's better that way too, you know, because
- 18:27Speaker 3: like our schedules are kind of wonky, and I want
- 18:29Speaker 3: to kind of on a little schedule.
- 18:31Speaker 5: I don't know, We'll see. It's been one week. Everything
- 18:33Speaker 5: could change.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I'm so dead.
- 18:36Speaker 6: But I cannot believe we got puppies at the exactly
- 18:39Speaker 6: I know, I know the.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Exact same time.
- 18:43Speaker 5: Puppy is being raised by Ai.
- 18:45Speaker 3: By the way, like if you saw AI search during
- 18:49Speaker 3: the day, it is the most random stuff, all just
- 18:53Speaker 3: about the dog, Like what do I do if the
- 18:55Speaker 3: dog did?
- 18:57Speaker 6: It's so nice to have that because like I'm like,
- 19:00Speaker 6: I don't even know what I would do, Like yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 6: raised by Oh.
- 19:04Speaker 2: My gosh, you guys are blowing my mind. I mean, yeah,
- 19:06Speaker 2: I use chat GPT for like what kind of college
- 19:10Speaker 2: essay can my kids write? You know, like that kind
- 19:12Speaker 2: of stuff.
- 19:13Speaker 4: But not no, it's like is.
- 19:15Speaker 6: This bush that my dog is eating? Is this going
- 19:18Speaker 6: to kill him?
- 19:19Speaker 1: Is this?
- 19:20Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Totally okay.
- 19:22Speaker 2: So I do want to go back to the like
- 19:24Speaker 2: sleeping in your bed issue.
- 19:26Speaker 4: I want to know.
- 19:27Speaker 2: I'm really curious to find out if Michelle, did you
- 19:29Speaker 2: have Reell sleeping in your bed since you're.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Like I did, Yeah, I don't want any judgment. I
- 19:35Speaker 1: don't want any judgment.
- 19:36Speaker 6: In fact, no, d it was like an issue with
- 19:39Speaker 6: her dad because she'd go to her dad's house.
- 19:41Speaker 1: And here's the deal.
- 19:42Speaker 6: I was a single mom and it was for me.
- 19:47Speaker 6: It was a I her bedroom was just right down
- 19:50Speaker 6: the hall, but like, I felt more safe having her
- 19:54Speaker 6: sleep in bed with me. I'm not saying it was
- 19:56Speaker 6: the right decision, but for my own piece of and
- 20:00Speaker 6: for me to almost like get sleep, like I just
- 20:02Speaker 6: wanted her with me. And and I don't regret it.
- 20:06Speaker 5: We did the same.
- 20:07Speaker 4: I wouldn't we did.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Riley slept with us for a long time, probably longer
- 20:12Speaker 3: than she should have, and I finally was like, Okay,
- 20:16Speaker 3: you're too old.
- 20:16Speaker 5: You kind of have to move out. And now I'm like,
- 20:18Speaker 5: I wish I could have you back in my bed.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I know.
- 20:20Speaker 6: That's the thing that screws you over, is like you
- 20:23Speaker 6: get to this place where you're like, Okay, great, I
- 20:25Speaker 6: think it's time for you to sleep in your own bed,
- 20:26Speaker 6: and then like yours go by and you're like, prey,
- 20:28Speaker 6: will you come have a sleep over with me and
- 20:30Speaker 6: sleep in my bed.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And she's like, no, Mom, I won't.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I don't know.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I feel like I didn't have my kids sleep in
- 20:39Speaker 2: my bed, but I feel like I wouldn't be able
- 20:42Speaker 2: to sleep because my kids like flailed and you know
- 20:46Speaker 2: whatever and kicked and stuff, and I wouldn't have gotten sleep.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Even though when they were babies, like you know, I would,
- 20:52Speaker 2: I would nurse and kind of nap with them, but otherwise, gosh,
- 20:57Speaker 2: I don't think I would actually get any See if
- 21:00Speaker 2: my kids slept with me. You did touch on a
- 21:03Speaker 2: good point though, with my kids getting older and potentially
- 21:07Speaker 2: leaving the nest, leaving the nest, let's be honest, I
- 21:12Speaker 2: am trying to cherish those moments and gosh, I mean
- 21:16Speaker 2: any moment that I had with them, like snuggling in
- 21:18Speaker 2: bed is definitely something that I cherish.
- 21:20Speaker 4: So I agree, like do you do what's right for you?
- 21:24Speaker 1: And so true?
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so you know what, sleep with your puppy
- 21:29Speaker 2: and hopefully, well.
- 21:31Speaker 6: You know, I'll have a conversation in like a year
- 21:33Speaker 6: from now and it would be a completely different conversation.
- 21:38Speaker 5: So dog and I will be sleeping with my kids.
- 21:41Speaker 1: That's exactly right, that's what's gonna happen.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Okay, So are they allowed to see other animals and
- 21:49Speaker 2: people because of their shot situation? I know that you
- 21:52Speaker 2: can't like introduce them to other dogs or people before
- 21:55Speaker 2: they have their shots.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Are they good?
- 21:57Speaker 6: And tell me what you think might? But but I
- 21:59Speaker 6: think it's kind of confusing. Hard is like that window
- 22:02Speaker 6: of time where you need to socialize them and have
- 22:05Speaker 6: them experience different sounds and you know, uh stores and
- 22:10Speaker 6: like grocery carts, like is kind of before they're able
- 22:14Speaker 6: to get their second round of vaccines. So what they
- 22:17Speaker 6: kind of tell you to do and what I've been doing.
- 22:20Speaker 6: In fact, we just took him to home depot this
- 22:22Speaker 6: morning and love it. We took him in on his
- 22:25Speaker 6: little leash, but then it's like then we picked him
- 22:28Speaker 6: up and put him in the cart because you just
- 22:29Speaker 6: don't want him to be getting too exposed, like walking
- 22:33Speaker 6: around in certain areas.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Is that what your understanding.
- 22:36Speaker 5: Is, Molly, Yeah, for sure.
- 22:37Speaker 3: And like we just went to the vet earlier this
- 22:38Speaker 3: week and she she was like, I said, I have
- 22:42Speaker 3: some friends who have small dogs, and she's like, if
- 22:44Speaker 3: you know the homeowner and you are the dog owner,
- 22:46Speaker 3: and you know that those dogs are vaccinated, have them over,
- 22:49Speaker 3: like have the doct over so that they can play
- 22:51Speaker 3: and see it. So we're going to have a puppy
- 22:53Speaker 3: over this weekend to not a puppy, an older dog
- 22:55Speaker 3: to come over and see her.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Just yeah, because they need to interact otherwise.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Totally.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:00Speaker 6: And because my last dog was dog aggressive, and they
- 23:03Speaker 6: do kind of believe it was because they didn't socialize them,
- 23:05Speaker 6: but I think it was just kind of his breed.
- 23:07Speaker 6: He was a German Shepherd. And I'll tell you what,
- 23:09Speaker 6: when your dog is not socialized, it is so like
- 23:15Speaker 6: debilitating because your whole life revolves around going home to
- 23:20Speaker 6: take care of your dog. We could not take him anywhere,
- 23:23Speaker 6: and so it's been so important for Mike and I
- 23:25Speaker 6: to really socialize. And Golden's I think are naturally just
- 23:28Speaker 6: little lucker bombs, but like you just to be safe,
- 23:32Speaker 6: like I did.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I took him over to my.
- 23:34Speaker 6: Brothers where he has two dogs and they did grade
- 23:37Speaker 6: and then my best friend Angie where she has a
- 23:38Speaker 6: little dog.
- 23:39Speaker 1: So when you know that the dogs that.
- 23:41Speaker 6: They're around are vaccinated, then I think that's smart to do.
- 23:45Speaker 6: But I have a question for you, Mollie Well, and
- 23:47Speaker 6: you Trista, do.
- 23:48Speaker 1: You take your dogs to dog parks? Because I didn't
- 23:50Speaker 1: know this was like a very controversial.
- 23:52Speaker 6: Thing, like side a controversial well for some people that
- 23:56Speaker 6: are like I will never take my dog to a
- 23:57Speaker 6: dog park. That is like asking for your dog to
- 24:00Speaker 6: get attacked or like learn about behavior or like, And
- 24:05Speaker 6: I'm like, oh, I guess I never thought about that,
- 24:08Speaker 6: But do you guys take them?
- 24:10Speaker 4: So I am not.
- 24:12Speaker 2: I'm kind of one of those people that get nervous
- 24:15Speaker 2: around other dogs if you don't know them. And so
- 24:21Speaker 2: we have found dogs that that our dog loves and
- 24:27Speaker 2: like his best friend is named Booker, and he'll come
- 24:29Speaker 2: over and just play in the backyard. It's the cutest thing.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Or we'll go on walks with them. And it's been
- 24:35Speaker 2: amazing too because if we go out of town, then
- 24:38Speaker 2: they'll come over and either take Coda for a walk
- 24:41Speaker 2: or come over and play in our backyard with Booker
- 24:44Speaker 2: and Coda.
- 24:45Speaker 4: So at least he has some wiggles out.
- 24:46Speaker 2: You know. So I would definitely recommend getting to know
- 24:50Speaker 2: people like, you know, if friends of yours have dogs
- 24:53Speaker 2: that are that are friendly and willing to play. I
- 24:56Speaker 2: feel like there are definitely people who go to dog parks,
- 24:59Speaker 2: but I think think it's just a personal preference. You know,
- 25:01Speaker 2: if you go, you go, and you know your dog,
- 25:05Speaker 2: you know that if they're going to be awf a leash,
- 25:08Speaker 2: you know how they're gonna act react two different dogs.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I would say it probably the vets would tell you
- 25:16Speaker 2: to do it later.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Obviously they need.
- 25:17Speaker 6: To have a I mean, yeah, obviously way later, not
- 25:19Speaker 6: any not anytime soon. But like I'm saying, like in general,
- 25:23Speaker 6: like when they're actually back seated, like, yeah, some people
- 25:27Speaker 6: just do not go to dog parks.
- 25:28Speaker 3: I don't think we will, only because like whin, he's
- 25:31Speaker 3: three pounds and they think she's going to be like six,
- 25:35Speaker 3: and so that just screams like come eat me.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Come eat me.
- 25:39Speaker 5: Yeah, totally, I don't think I will be doing that.
- 25:43Speaker 3: But my friend has a great a little like outdoor
- 25:47Speaker 3: doggie day care place that she takes her dog and
- 25:49Speaker 3: Tuesdays and Thursdays it's small Dog.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Day and so that's so nice.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Her up for small Dog Day every once in a
- 25:57Speaker 3: while so she can do those kind of things.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Yes, I think that's genius.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I actually have we have a place here called Wags
- 26:05Speaker 2: and Whiskers or something like that, and it's.
- 26:07Speaker 4: A doggy daycare.
- 26:08Speaker 2: But they also do playtime, so I would highly recommend
- 26:12Speaker 2: that as well, if you can get into a place
- 26:15Speaker 2: that you know friends of yours can recommend, just so
- 26:18Speaker 2: they can be socialized after their shots. Are it's so important,
- 26:24Speaker 2: so important? Okay, so we're going to go back to
- 26:26Speaker 2: you mentioned home Depot. Home Depot is notoriously amazing about
- 26:30Speaker 2: allowing dogs to come in. Would either of you consider, obviously,
- 26:35Speaker 2: when he's super tiny, would you consider using a sling
- 26:38Speaker 2: or a stroller for opportunities.
- 26:41Speaker 3: I've already used both, already have books, I have a sling.
- 26:46Speaker 5: I have a sling.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Okay, I have not used a stroller because Jason Mesnik
- 26:50Speaker 3: will murder me if he sees a crowned.
- 26:52Speaker 6: With shameless shamelessly bought the stroller and it was so nice.
- 26:58Speaker 1: To have, Like whatever, I don't care, what are we doing?
- 27:03Speaker 1: And I'm like, we are raising a puppy.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I did put like a bow in Winnie's hair the
- 27:08Speaker 3: other day and he was like, what are.
- 27:11Speaker 1: It's so funny?
- 27:12Speaker 6: On men, I have such an opinion about that stuff,
- 27:15Speaker 6: Like I wanted to buy him like a little sweater,
- 27:17Speaker 6: and I'm like, Mike will kill me if I put
- 27:20Speaker 6: a sweater on my goggle.
- 27:21Speaker 2: You guys, when Tank was little, because he was five
- 27:24Speaker 2: pounds full grown, I bought him like the kids used
- 27:28Speaker 2: to wear these teeny tiny little black puffy coats.
- 27:32Speaker 4: And I bought Tank a little black puffy coat. It
- 27:35Speaker 4: is so cut.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Yes, it's so mean, Like I'm already taking Halloween costumes
- 27:41Speaker 3: and like scene.
- 27:54Speaker 2: And you know what, I didn't think about this earlier,
- 27:56Speaker 2: but you guys kind of got your dogs at the
- 27:59Speaker 2: perfect time because you can go outside. You both live
- 28:04Speaker 2: in areas where you're going to be dealing with winter.
- 28:07Speaker 2: So I feel like, if you are going to buy
- 28:09Speaker 2: a puppy, definitely think about buying one in the spring.
- 28:13Speaker 4: I know, or the summer.
- 28:14Speaker 2: I have to.
- 28:15Speaker 6: I can I share my story about how I thought Benny. Yes, please,
- 28:18Speaker 6: because it's so special. So February we had to put
- 28:24Speaker 6: Lobo down. Our hearts were broken, and so I'm like,
- 28:27Speaker 6: I really just need another dog. So I've been looking
- 28:30Speaker 6: at Goldens for months and months, and turns out you
- 28:34Speaker 6: have to get on like these lists and then you
- 28:37Speaker 6: put money down, you get on a list and then
- 28:39Speaker 6: come to find out you're like number one hundred and
- 28:41Speaker 6: seventy five on the list, and I'm like, this is insane.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I didn't realize how hard.
- 28:46Speaker 6: It was to get like a pure bread golden and
- 28:48Speaker 6: so from a really good breeder, right, Like, you want
- 28:51Speaker 6: to make sure you do like a really good breeder.
- 28:53Speaker 1: So I put my name on all these all these lists.
- 28:57Speaker 6: And in the meantime, my little brother got diagnosed with
- 29:05Speaker 6: brain cancer. So this was about four weeks ago, and
- 29:12Speaker 6: our family has been just torn up inside. Well, my
- 29:17Speaker 6: brother had a really beautiful experience when he came out
- 29:19Speaker 6: of surgery getting his tumor removed, where my dad, who's
- 29:23Speaker 6: passed from colon cancer, came to him and had this
- 29:25Speaker 6: amazing conversation with my brother. And in that conversation, he said,
- 29:31Speaker 6: I'm here to help you. You guys need to talk
- 29:33Speaker 6: to me like as ask me what you ask me
- 29:36Speaker 6: for help and I will help you. And so I
- 29:40Speaker 6: went to bed that night and I was like, Dad,
- 29:44Speaker 6: I need a puppy. I really need a dog. Our
- 29:47Speaker 6: family needs a dog.
- 29:48Speaker 1: My brother his name's Doug.
- 29:50Speaker 6: I'm like, dog needs a dog. Please help me get
- 29:52Speaker 6: a dog. So the next morning I had this impulse
- 29:56Speaker 6: to just email the breeder that I really wanted, which
- 29:58Speaker 6: is like hearing you tather, this wonderful company and I
- 30:04Speaker 6: forget the name. Anyway, I sent this email to them
- 30:06Speaker 6: and I said, hey, please keep me in mind if
- 30:08Speaker 6: anyone backs out of getting a puppy, because we just
- 30:12Speaker 6: found out my brother has brain cancer. It would be
- 30:14Speaker 6: such it'd be so wonderful to have a puppy right now,
- 30:16Speaker 6: no stress, but if anything happens, just keep me posted.
- 30:20Speaker 6: Like an hour later, I get a phone call from
- 30:22Speaker 6: her and she's just like, Michelle that you're not going
- 30:26Speaker 6: to believe this, but we just had this girl back
- 30:30Speaker 6: out of this puppy and I just started bawling, just
- 30:34Speaker 6: like saw me and I'm like, oh my gosh. And
- 30:36Speaker 6: I'm just like she's like, do you want the puppy
- 30:39Speaker 6: and I'm like, yes, I want the puppy. So it
- 30:43Speaker 6: was this beautiful orchestration of timing because I wouldn't have
- 30:48Speaker 6: gotten a dog tail like like you said, like till
- 30:51Speaker 6: next like winter, and I'm just like, our family needs
- 30:54Speaker 6: a puppy now. And so I'm like, my dad made
- 30:56Speaker 6: all of this happen, and so the the only reason
- 31:00Speaker 6: we have him is because of my dad and my
- 31:03Speaker 6: sweet brother who's just dealing with crazy. You know, our
- 31:06Speaker 6: whole family is just like what's going on. But our
- 31:09Speaker 6: dog has brought us so much joy and laughter and
- 31:12Speaker 6: like lightened all of our load while we're dealing with
- 31:15Speaker 6: something so heavy. So he feels like very like he
- 31:20Speaker 6: was meant to be with us.
- 31:22Speaker 5: Oh that's so special, I know.
- 31:26Speaker 6: And then I found the girl that was originally going
- 31:29Speaker 6: to take him, and I just sent her this message.
- 31:33Speaker 6: I'm like, oh my gosh, you followed your instinct to
- 31:36Speaker 6: say no to the dog right now because she had
- 31:38Speaker 6: other things going on.
- 31:39Speaker 1: It was really a hard decision for and I'm like,
- 31:41Speaker 1: but your decision helped my whole family.
- 31:45Speaker 6: Just heal, like it was just this beautiful, like synchronicity
- 31:48Speaker 6: of life that just was meant to happen.
- 31:51Speaker 4: I love that, kidding. It is a beautiful story.
- 31:57Speaker 6: Doug is amazing, My brother is amazing. He's so positive
- 32:02Speaker 6: and has such a great outlook on life. But this
- 32:06Speaker 6: is hard. This is going to be a hard road.
- 32:09Speaker 6: So we're trying desperately to get him into some clinical trials,
- 32:14Speaker 6: and every day we're kind of like waiting to hear
- 32:16Speaker 6: back and you know, setting out more applications and stuff.
- 32:19Speaker 6: But you know, like God has such an amazing way
- 32:24Speaker 6: of like teaching and helping us see the positive in
- 32:29Speaker 6: things when things can be really hard. And you know,
- 32:33Speaker 6: if anyone can overcome brain cancer, it's my brother Doug.
- 32:39Speaker 6: Like he is so strong and he's so positive, and
- 32:42Speaker 6: I just believe that he's going to like fifteen years
- 32:45Speaker 6: from now, we're going to be like remember when you
- 32:46Speaker 6: thought you had eighteen months to live and like look
- 32:49Speaker 6: at you now.
- 32:50Speaker 1: I'm just convinced that's going to happen.
- 32:52Speaker 5: Well, I'm like a firm believer in the in healing
- 32:55Speaker 5: powers and positivity when it comes to people with you know,
- 32:58Speaker 5: these diagnoses and cancer and all that. I think positive
- 33:01Speaker 5: attitudes have insane.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Totally totally and don't bring that out.
- 33:07Speaker 2: And dogs, yes, they do, they do, they do, And
- 33:11Speaker 2: actually I feel like they also have healing powers. Have
- 33:14Speaker 2: you guys ever heard of how like a dog saliva
- 33:18Speaker 2: if they.
- 33:18Speaker 4: Lick like a wound.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Then I mean I'm not recommend I'm not a doctor obviously,
- 33:23Speaker 2: but I have heard that they that they can heal physically,
- 33:28Speaker 2: not even not even just emotionally by petting them.
- 33:32Speaker 4: I don't know that I didn't, Yes, something like that.
- 33:34Speaker 4: Let's let's ask pay chat.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Sure, I have my dog lick my wounds.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I've heard all those stories of like
- 33:45Speaker 3: dogs having instincts of something going on.
- 33:48Speaker 4: Yeah, being able to.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Actually smell cancer.
- 33:52Speaker 6: Yes, I saw a story about certain dogs that can
- 33:56Speaker 6: smell I think it was ovarian cancer or something they're.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Like, would Doug would getting like a I mean, I
- 34:03Speaker 2: guess Benny, I'll just be his rescue dog.
- 34:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean Doug lives with has it's like his dog.
- 34:09Speaker 6: It's Doug's dog.
- 34:09Speaker 2: He lives. He lives with you guys right now.
- 34:12Speaker 6: He moved in with us when he right before he
- 34:15Speaker 6: got the diagnosis, and so he's kind of here between
- 34:18Speaker 6: here and my mom's and his house. He just doesn't
- 34:20Speaker 6: like to be alone and so yeah, so he's kind
- 34:25Speaker 6: of with us quite a bit. So it's perfect because
- 34:27Speaker 6: he really does kind of feel like bends his dog.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Yes, that's so so so powerful. I just I absolutely
- 34:37Speaker 2: love that story such a such you know that it
- 34:42Speaker 2: was meant to be, you know, he meant without a doubt, right, Yeah, yeah,
- 34:46Speaker 2: totally Okay, So switching gears in terms of, like when
- 34:52Speaker 2: we rescued Coda and when we rescued Sophie, you have
- 34:55Speaker 2: to sign this agreement saying that you're going to fix
- 35:01Speaker 2: the dog just because they're rescues and you know whatever.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Is that something that you guys both got your dogs
- 35:09Speaker 2: from breeders, right, Molly, Yeah, I got yours from breeder? Yeah.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Is that something that you guys are considering doing? Have
- 35:16Speaker 2: you thought about that? And why I'll do it? Yeah?
- 35:20Speaker 3: I don't want to deal with my dog having her period.
- 35:23Speaker 3: I already have a thirteen year old girl, No kidding.
- 35:30Speaker 6: I don't know what side of TikTok I'm on, but
- 35:32Speaker 6: I'm like on all the like, vaccines are dangerous, don't
- 35:37Speaker 6: fix your dogs, like all the like.
- 35:40Speaker 1: My brain is just like going like.
- 35:41Speaker 6: This, and but I'm like, I honestly haven't even gotten
- 35:47Speaker 6: to that point yet to even think about it, because
- 35:49Speaker 6: I'm still at the point where I'm like trying to
- 35:51Speaker 6: figure out the vaccine situation because lots of people, I mean,
- 35:54Speaker 6: they don't say you want to vaccinate it, you should
- 35:56Speaker 6: vaccinate your dog, but like what I'm gathering is that
- 36:00Speaker 6: like they don't need as many as we're giving and
- 36:04Speaker 6: I'm just like, I don't even like, I don't know
- 36:06Speaker 6: where to begin with all of this, so I can't
- 36:07Speaker 6: think about that right now.
- 36:09Speaker 2: And you know what I did with my kids, so
- 36:12Speaker 2: I was I was definitely really thoughtful about their vaccines.
- 36:17Speaker 2: I believe in them as someone who believes in science,
- 36:19Speaker 2: but I also didn't want to bombard their their systems,
- 36:23Speaker 2: so I broke them up and didn't do them all
- 36:25Speaker 2: at once. And I believe Heather just said that you
- 36:27Speaker 2: can do that for dogs too, So maybe that's something
- 36:30Speaker 2: to talk to your vet about. Is not like getting
- 36:33Speaker 2: them all at once, but maybe you know, I don't know,
- 36:37Speaker 2: do you know?
- 36:37Speaker 6: What I'm learning through all of this is like there's
- 36:41Speaker 6: just too much information.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Oh god, there's so much.
- 36:44Speaker 1: There's just too.
- 36:44Speaker 6: Much, yes, and then and then I get like decision
- 36:48Speaker 6: like paralysis, and I'm just like, right, I don't know
- 36:51Speaker 6: what to do now because I know too much about
- 36:54Speaker 6: every option, and so I've really been overwhelmed with like
- 37:00Speaker 6: this is the way you train your dog, and this
- 37:02Speaker 6: is why you create train your dog, and this is
- 37:04Speaker 6: what you feed your dog, and everyone has a different
- 37:06Speaker 6: opinion and I'm just like.
- 37:07Speaker 1: This is wild, Like.
- 37:09Speaker 2: You guys, this is very similar. You can all you
- 37:13Speaker 2: can both attest and agree with me that this is
- 37:15Speaker 2: very similar to raising kids. Everyone has an opinion, there's
- 37:18Speaker 2: all different theories, right, And so what I guess what
- 37:24Speaker 2: to think about is how did you deal with that
- 37:27Speaker 2: when your kids were tiny and there were all these
- 37:31Speaker 2: opinions and overwhelm coming at you.
- 37:34Speaker 1: I didn't have to deal with it.
- 37:36Speaker 6: There was no social media, you know what I mean,
- 37:38Speaker 6: Like I was four years old, there wasn't like I
- 37:41Speaker 6: didn't have opinions. But like, for example, I have my
- 37:44Speaker 6: best friend who's pregnant and the vaccine conversation has come up,
- 37:49Speaker 6: and I'm like, I can't imagine what you're being bombarded
- 37:53Speaker 6: with because just focus like just my dog alone, Like totally,
- 37:58Speaker 6: I just can't imagine. I don't wish it on anyone
- 38:01Speaker 6: because it's like there's just an abundance of opinions and
- 38:06Speaker 6: options and like it's too much.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I think raising today a brand new baby today,
- 38:11Speaker 3: So when we all had our baby, so.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Different, Yeah, totally different.
- 38:16Speaker 2: True, But now it's like you're you're fur baby is
- 38:20Speaker 2: you know, just as important to your family? Yeah, I
- 38:23Speaker 2: feel like and yeah, it's hard to not get overwhelmed
- 38:26Speaker 2: when you deal when you are overwhelmed because I need this,
- 38:30Speaker 2: I need this information. You both have older I know
- 38:33Speaker 2: obviously stepchild, but for you, Molly, but you both have
- 38:36Speaker 2: older kids than me, how do you deal with the overwhelm?
- 38:40Speaker 2: And like, please just help me give me a tip
- 38:43Speaker 2: that how do I deal with overwhelm?
- 38:46Speaker 1: Please?
- 38:47Speaker 6: I will say this, like, I really firmly believe that
- 38:51Speaker 6: we all have an inner guidance system within us. It's ours,
- 38:56Speaker 6: it's specific to us, it's different than yours and everyone else.
- 38:59Speaker 6: Like there's and knowing that we have inside of us
- 39:02Speaker 6: that only we have access to. And it's so important
- 39:07Speaker 6: to raise our children to have a relationship with their
- 39:10Speaker 6: own inner being because we're not going to always be
- 39:13Speaker 6: there to say like, no, don't do this, and yes
- 39:15Speaker 6: do that. It's like and how am I to know
- 39:17Speaker 6: what you should or shouldn't do? It's this is your life.
- 39:20Speaker 6: So for me, I always come back to what feels
- 39:25Speaker 6: true for you. When you get really quiet and you
- 39:27Speaker 6: get all the noise away and you're sitting, you can
- 39:31Speaker 6: always find the answers within you, and you have to
- 39:35Speaker 6: trust that those impulses you have are your guidance system.
- 39:39Speaker 6: Leading you to what is right for you because there's
- 39:42Speaker 6: just too many opinions out there. So that's what I've
- 39:45Speaker 6: always tried to do with Brielle, is like, trust what
- 39:49Speaker 6: is feeling intuitively right for you and just trust it.
- 39:53Speaker 6: And then when you do, you build that trust muscle
- 39:56Speaker 6: kind of up and you look back and you're like, wow,
- 39:59Speaker 6: that was the right to say decision, And now I
- 40:01Speaker 6: have the evidence to show that I can't trust my
- 40:03Speaker 6: own self.
- 40:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:05Speaker 6: True.
- 40:05Speaker 3: I mean, so you're a great mom. I've known you
- 40:07Speaker 3: for forever, and your kids are wonderful and they're strong
- 40:11Speaker 3: and confident in all of that. Like they're at to
- 40:14Speaker 3: the age now that they're so much older where it's
- 40:17Speaker 3: you know, like you've done your job and it's time
- 40:19Speaker 3: for them to right and they will be great and
- 40:22Speaker 3: they will make mistakes, and those mistakes need to happen
- 40:25Speaker 3: because that is how they learn.
- 40:27Speaker 1: How you learn on their own.
- 40:29Speaker 3: So painful, like I take I'm like, I take care
- 40:33Speaker 3: of everything for my family, like to a detriment. It's
- 40:36Speaker 3: it's a problem, right, I'm like a control freak and
- 40:38Speaker 3: I take care of a lot of things. And with time,
- 40:40Speaker 3: I've had to learn how to do and it's even
- 40:42Speaker 3: just over the past like two years. His first couple
- 40:45Speaker 3: of years of college, it was like, Okay, you got
- 40:47Speaker 3: to make sure you do this and make sure you
- 40:48Speaker 3: do this, and it's like.
- 40:50Speaker 5: That wasn't helping him.
- 40:51Speaker 3: And I finally got to the point like I'm not
- 40:53Speaker 3: going to remind him and I'm going to let him
- 40:55Speaker 3: fail and then he won't make that mistake again, you know.
- 40:59Speaker 1: And so it's like good parenting. That's such good parenting.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Deadlines he needs to make and I'm not hounding him
- 41:05Speaker 3: about you got to do this or it's not going
- 41:07Speaker 3: to happen. It's like, if you don't make it happen,
- 41:09Speaker 3: that's on you, and that's helping him grow.
- 41:13Speaker 1: So true, so good, so true.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Thank you guys.
- 41:16Speaker 2: I mean, you're both amazing and I'll probably be texting
- 41:19Speaker 2: you from now on.
