- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that could be worse.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: It could be there.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, no, so you look more like an What did you call yourself at the pickleball thing you didn't say?
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: Umpelumpo you said something like I said I look like a I'm in or something yeah, or big orange or some big lemon a big lemon Yeah, bouncing around on the court.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you were you were drenched.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: I took third place in my tournament a week ago So I think you said that last week.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: I could say it again.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: Should have been first, damn it.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be first next year.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: I Hope you are
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: So yes, it is about episode 42, we will have a review of Supergirl as well as talk about the movies that are coming out this weekend, although one movie actually came out yesterday, yes, actually two movies came out yesterday too.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll talk about all that and then of course we'll end the show with our picks for worst make up.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: No, where's visual effects?
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's worse.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: Make up.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: You clearly did not read the shit.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: Read the sheet.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: Worse visual effects is next week.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm back to the first.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go look at the sheet.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: Because you clearly did it.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I also said it in the last episode.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: So he's going to have to do homework now, folks, while we get things squared away.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I will lead you into what we normally do.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about the movie center coming out this weekend.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: See what it says there?
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: OK.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: So first, we're going to start off with the movies that came out actually yesterday, which were the Wednesday, the Thursday.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: That was kidding.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: I knew what it was.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted to mess with you.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: Not Wednesday, the third July.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: the first, which is Wednesday, the first, the third, which is tomorrow, is when the other movies, I've, wow, just had a serious brain fart.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, there we go.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: So two movies came out yesterday, one for Netflix release, so we'll just kind of talk about that briefly.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: Anola Holmes III, which is the continuation of the story of a gal by the name of Anola Holmes,
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: a detective in Ola Homes, and a pretty decent cast in this show.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: We got Henry Cavill, a Millie Bobby Brown, of course, probably most famous for playing 11 in Stranger Things.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: Jack Thorns in it, and Sharon Duncan Brewster.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's got a decent cast, Helen, a Helena Bonham Carter's in it as well.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: The first two are pretty good.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: This one looks like it's going
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: colliding with a case that may feature a bunch of clues or may feature some treacherous train.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: They're funny.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: They're funny movies.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: They're adventurous and of course there's usually some detective work involved in it as well too.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: I always look at them and kind of I kind of think of it as like a female Sherlock Holmes is the way that I like to talk about that.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: So that's on Netflix.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: You can actually watch that today, because it came out yesterday.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: If you haven't seen the first two, I would recommend at least watching the first ones.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: So you can kind of get the back story.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: And then, you know, two, is a decent movie as well, too.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: So it's worth a watch, too.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: Also, that the movie that came out Wednesday,
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: Minions and monsters, which I got to admit that when I saw it, I thought it was going to be a little bit more than it was, but I don't know, it, it looks like it could be interesting, but then at the same token it looks like, and it kind of thought it was going to be like a playoff of D&D, which it kind of is.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know and they probably didn't they probably couldn't do all the things they wanted to do with it because or or thought about doing with it Of course because of the whole you know comparison to D&D thing, but it should be interesting Zoe Zoe Dishonel is in it Alice and Janey
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, these are all voices of people, Christopher Walts, Jeff Bridges, another decent cash Jesse Eisenberg of not playing a bold Lux, which is so thankful as far as I'm concerned.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: But that came out yesterday, so that's probably going to be the kiddo movie for the weekend to take the kiddo studio for July 4th weekend.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: If you haven't already taken them to Toy Story 5, which, by the way, if you haven't, make sure you bring some clean eggs for that, it is a tear jerker.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then last but not least, coming out to Toy Story 5, what else?
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I'm sorry you you hurt yeah.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm hurt.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, that's not my fault We don't have to see movies together with the whole purpose of the show Chris the whole purpose of the show is to give our opinions of the movies doesn't it doesn't mean that we have to go see the movie together and a bar
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I thought that was purpose.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: Well, clearly, you have an ulterior motive going on here, and I'm sure somebody would side with me on that particular saying of you having an ulterior motive.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: And never knowing exactly what's going to come out of your mouth.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: You're welcome.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, uh, young Washington is going to come out.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't know when.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: You, you know, but nobody else does.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it needs to know, till it comes out.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, then what if nobody wants to see it?
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: Most people do no.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think nine out of ten people there's one guy Yeah, one guy me sitting across for me exactly and probably one of your sons like when they say actually Nine out of ten dentists tell you you shouldn't do someone like who's that?
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Who is that dentist?
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I want to know who that guy is the dentist from a little shop of horse.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's who that guy Yeah, who could be yeah, Steve Martin in the movie.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes, and then there was no real life
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: There was there's a Broadway play version.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's Broadway music version.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know, don't know that.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, come on.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, come on.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: There could be dances out there that are getting high off a knock-to-side side.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, which is what that dentist pretty much did.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: The whole movie.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: pretty much.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't disagree with you there.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: So last but not least, a young Washington coming out today or tomorrow, actually, sorry, which basically is a movie about Washington before he became president and like some of the things that he could have done, I don't know how historically accurate this movie is going to look at.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I didn't think so.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, you know, and here's my problem with that movie right off the bat.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: Films trailer.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: Kelsey grammar.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: He just doesn't fit in movies like this.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: You love him and Frazier.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're going to love the Frazier.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: I love them in a pair of pairs, down pairs.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: Get it right.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't like him as a Marvel character.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I'm going to like him in this.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: You are so critical of Kelsey.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: I love Kelsey Grammar.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: Are you, I know what it is.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: Your jealous of his wife.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it is.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: His wife.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know his wife.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: Camilla, I don't think they're married anymore.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: But Camilla is married to the king.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Of England, Camilla.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's the king's wife.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: The king Camilla.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't done saying her name.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: You interrupted me.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, you're jealous.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: Cousin.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: Probably Queen Camilla.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: But Kelsey Grammar is terrific.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: in some kinds of movies.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think from the preview, and I could be wrong, but from the preview that I saw, just a little while ago, there's some actors that, when you see them, you see a certain character.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now here's where I think Kelsey Grammar and movie studios have dropped the ball.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: Kelsey Grammar would be great.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: in a documentary drama about Bob Bob Hope.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: I would pay, I would pay the actual ticket price to see that.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: I won't even go on a Tuesday for $5.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because Kelsey Grammer to me is the embodiment of Bob Hope.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: In many, many, many ways.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'd see that, but I don't know.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's interesting how you base how the movie is going to be off of one actor, which is the reason why we've seen some of the movies we've seen and they've been terrible.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: I either movie that I can't think of a top of a hat, but she's like, Puccino said it's going to be great and he was absolutely terrible.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Right in that movie.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'll look it up in a second because there's somebody like the rest of the Tika About how you write the title to get historically in our you know I think there's a lot of creative license in that man's wire that's the name of the movie.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: That was gonna be awesome cuz Butchino was in I like that movie
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to always agree because he was uttered garbage and I didn't get to see Toy Story 5 Well, that's not my fault.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: Colleague and partner.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's not my fault.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: It is your fault.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: You are retired.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: You have a phone.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: You pick up the phone and you call me I'm going to say the story story 5 anything like to come.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: You could go see it on your own
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: You also have grandchildren.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: You can take to go see it on my own and I just thought we were grandchildren.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: Take your grandchildren.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: I would take my grandchildren.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: And you're behind the team.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: You two six been out.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, two weeks.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: You think that we're talking about?
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: We'll go see a woman with that her husband who's her partner on the show.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: I bet you she has.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't think so.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: I will bet you a my dollar.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: No, because she doesn't drive.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't matter.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: He'd have to drive.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: She has other girlfriends that are driver or hell.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: She's a celebrity.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: They don't drive anyways.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: They hire fucking limo drive.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but they she'd go with her to her show partner.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: So much for talking about young Washington, but anyway.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, he's gonna based on the how bad the movie us off of the fact that Kelsey Grammar said and I told him it doesn't seem historically correct It doesn't matter those two things.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: Is that the one we're gonna go see how how no?
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, unless that's what you want to go see, but you can go see it on your own cuz I ain't gonna go see it
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'll never want to see Minion marry Louise Parker's in it and then Ben Kingsley in it as well To the castes have we see Ben Kingsley fixing a movie like according to you taking our Kelsey grammar, but you know Whatever you're entitled to your own opinion so somewhere in this movie You know the hiles is gonna show up.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we'll finally meet Maris.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: I highly doubt either one of those characters
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: If there's a character in Daphne and I'm at the show watching and I'm just gonna break out in laughter.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: Just so you know, they have a label this as the untold story of George Washington.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so my home, he's dead.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's unrolled, guess what?
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's not my home, because it's never been told.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: You clearly failed English class.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: I know, that was my best class English.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: Bad, I don't think so.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe not who untold the story was.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: No, I know what, I mean untold.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: It means you're making shit up.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're taking some historical facts and then making it up which is what a lot of these historical movies do nowadays I don't like that actual historical facts But yeah, you're gonna go see me ninja masters.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna watch in all the home street
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: I have no interest in seeing maintenance and monsters.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's Netflix, all right, in all the homes.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: Is that like, Sherlock Holmes, sister, did you say something?
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: See, if you weren't on your phone, you would have heard what I said.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: But I had to be clearly, clearly, clearly.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: No, I didn't switch anything.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: You did not see attention to the assignment.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: So you get an F in class today, my friend.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's no pets with you.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of like that.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a female's homes.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: that are on TV right now, and on Netflix and all these other shows, even the ones on channel 11, which I tend to like, they're all take off of Colombo.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's a ordinary person.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: Take off Sherlock Holmes.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: No, Sherlock Holmes was a actual detective, a very learned guy.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: Columbo was a rag tag guy that made it up through the ranks in the police department, just kind of an ordinary guy that was with the had some skill that not like Sherlock Holmes.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: Sherlock Holmes was super, super educated and probably a genius level.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: And that these other shows are kind of more closer to Columbo than Sherlock Holmes.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: Sherlock Holmes was probably the Einstein of detectives in that genre.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: Even his foyer, his number one enemy, Moriarty, was also a genius.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: So you can't put him in Columbus category.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: Columbus was just an ordinary guy.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: Then nobody suspects would figure out what went on.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what's a lot of these other, that's what I'm guessing, that's what this is.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: Something like that.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: I could be wrong though, because I was wrong.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: 1978.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: I was wrong.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: We were wrong about four months ago about a particular movie that we literally just talked about.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: Literally four minutes ago, dead man's wire.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but anyway.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: No, I wasn't wrong.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: I was just different than you wrong.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: You were like, well, Petitos is going to be amazing in that movie, and I said he's probably going to be in it for all of five minutes, and he was rating, and he was like in it for two minutes.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't in it much, and he didn't act much.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give you a minute.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: No, and it was terrible.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: So yes, now that we've kind of gone all over the place, young Washington coming out tomorrow, which of course we know you're not going to go see you because you're hatred for Calcy grammar.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: Anola Holmes III, and then Minions and Monsters, those are your selections, of course Anola Holmes III is on Netflix.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the look at what's coming out this weekend, or what has already come out, because like I said, Anola Holmes III and Minions and Monsters came out yesterday.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: So let's move on to Supergirl, which before we get started on that, I want to point out that rotten tomatoes for dead man's wire.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: And every single one of those people is dumb.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's all I'm going to say about.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_01]: Let's move on to Supergirl.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: Supergirl.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: And before we get started, somebody comes to save the day.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's Mighty Mouse.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know, but it fits.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: No, it doesn't.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Cess it best.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: She came to save the day.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: Mighty Mouse was a mouse.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: Mighty Mouse is a mouse.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: There's no way he's more powerful than Superman.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: Name the movie.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: Name the movie.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: Name the movie.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: That line came from a movie.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: Name the movie.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: That Mighty Mouse is not more powerful than Superman.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: Mighty Mouse is a mouse.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: There's no way he's more powerful than Superman.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: Uh... Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: The Mickey Mouse Club.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: Loosen Clarke.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: Clarke and Lois.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just one of the movies that you like very much.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's a suck-o movie.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: Stand by me.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Not a suck-o movie.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, Nooo!
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's a dumb line.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't matter if it's dumb line.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's dumb line.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: whatever.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, it's just like Ted man's one of the first dumb movie.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: So what I was going to say before I was so rudely interrupted was a part for cook far for the course around here.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: Super girl somebody told me I wasn't actually going to like it because they said it had no story.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: One of your simple one of your offspring.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh really?
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: And he was absolutely dead wrong.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, so super girl came out last weekend.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: I actually so I actually had a first in my life as far as movies Concert I actually want to see this movie I paid no pay all the time you however don't pay sometimes
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I saw it 915 in the morning, which I've never done in my entire life, never was a Sunday morning.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: Never have I seen a movie on a morning that early, usually like new, that's usually the earliest I've gone.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: And then church it, not along at 9 o'clock, you should have been a church at 9 o'clock.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: I was praying 9 o'clock.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know I wasn't praying in 9 o'clock, and we didn't start till 915.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, pretty sure you were.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_01]: You're supposed to pray in silence, so nobody knows what you're praying about.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: That is true.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, look at that.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, look at that.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, probably.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: He does know something about the Bible.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, maybe you.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's hope for you.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, maybe I'm already there.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: Supergirl.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: Let's move back to it.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's coincidentally enough since we're speaking about faith or what we didn't say faith.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: But we said Jesus.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus Christ.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus Christ.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: Refer to him.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: Supergirl.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: Super man has been compared to like a Jesus type figure.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: And the same thing can be said for Supergirl as well, there is any bear with me for a second here.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: So, again, the funny thing about this is you don't go to a movie at 9.15 in the morning, unless you've had at least six cups of coffee.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: Because I could have sworn the guy said to me theater 16.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: So we're in theater 16 watching the previews and everything like that and all of the sudden what was that movie review?
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh all of the sudden we see the start of the breadwinner and I'm like oh crap Okay, so I missed I think the first maybe 10 minutes of the movie oh then you missed a lot I didn't miss a lot all I missed was the relationship with her and the dog that's all I missed
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's all I miss.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: Well, then it wasn't 10.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: It was maybe three or five, but I came in when she was drunk in the bar and the little girl was like trying to find somebody and that to like be a bounty hunter and that's all I'm gonna say and sorry that's a spoiler alert
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: It has more than 10 minutes.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: Well, whatever, it doesn't matter.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: The point is, is that I didn't miss much because the rest of the story was pretty much there.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: And the whole plot of this story is Supergirl, trying to say her dog.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's the basis of this story.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I can see why people are like, well, that's why it has no story, it has no plot, it has no this, has no that.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: I disagree.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's got a bunch of mini plots that probably could have been more of the main plot than anything.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, human trafficking.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_01]: big huge in the movie and somebody was like well yeah but it wasn't it should have been a bigger theme I was like it played like for 30 minutes in the movie how much bigger do you need it to be and then of course there was like the human condition and you know encouraging one another and being supportive of each other super girl pretty much depressed
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: through a decent portion of the movie, and then I pointed out this, it's kind of a retelling of the prodigal daughter, even though that's not really what it is, it's the prodigal son, because she turns her back on everything, decides to do what she does only because she's sourful over her birthday, which is a whole other thing in and of itself, and then comes back and does what she's supposed to do, and is, you know, walking with over arms, so
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, there are a lot of many stories inside of it.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I think maybe that's the reason why some people are like, ooh, just do not have a storyline.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I feel like Lobo was underused.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he should have been more, there should have been more of him in the movie.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, Lobo.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: Jason Mamoa's character, the one who is supposedly, the one who is supposedly, the one who deadpool is supposedly fashioned after if you're a Stanley fan.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like he, I just feel like his purpose in the movie just didn't, it didn't seem to fit.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, so what are you doing here?
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: but I have a feeling that it's going to set up a future movie or a future series of movies or something like that depending upon where they go with things.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: It could be just an introduction of the character at this point to set up something bigger.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see who knows.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: Now that James gun is at the helm, he could be trying to pull a marvel into a DC thing.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: We're not sure.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: The good news is that gun did not write this and he did not direct this movie.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: So he kept his hands off of it and I think it kind of shows.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: because I think it was better than Superman.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: I know a lot of people don't like the fact that I said that, but I even went, I even went ahead and did two things.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: Number one, I watched the original Supergirl before I watched this.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: Do yourself a favor, don't watch it, it's terrible.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: This Supergirl is 10 times better.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: Then I watched the new Superman.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: which I was like, okay, you know, I still feel the same way I'm like, it's, you know, but I feel like this movie worked.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like some of the casting was great.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like there was a reason for things to happen.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the conflict between her and who was actually the villain of the movie just seemed like it dragged on and on and on and on.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: But I know the reason why that was is because of the fact that she was fighting a group of people and not just one person, but I think some people missed that.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: and they didn't realize like the brigands was a group like that wasn't the evil boss's name he wasn't brigand he had a different name but the brigands was his like tribe right so i think that's it there were also a lot of uh... speaking of tribe there are a lot of omages to mad max
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: in that movie as well too with some of the things they did and stuff like that.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, anyway, all in all, I thought the movie was entertaining.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was worth a watch.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to give it a seven and a half, which, you know, for a DC movie, you're saying a lot for me, because a lot of these DC movies lately have been terrible.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: But I actually feel like Supergirl was kind of a redemptive in that sense.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: So, there you go.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, as usual, you're wrong.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: Of course.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: Um, first of all, it's super slow.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: super slow.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: He was kind of a, you know, depressive mood for almost the entire movie.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: Really, and then I really told you why she was there.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: She was supposedly her birthday, if you're in a mortal, why do you even care about a birthday number one?
- 23:33[SPEAKER_00]: But she's at a club drinking, drinking, drinking, drinking, drinking, and then gets into fights.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, so there was nothing we need to pause there for a second.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: The answer to what she was doing is actually in Superman.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: Because in Superman, he says, yeah, she's off on some red planet because she likes to get drunk.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's the whole purpose of that.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: But why?
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: They never established wise.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: My point.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: She was just because she's 20 because she's 23 years old and doesn't know any better.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: But she's not 23 years old.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: In the movie, she's 20.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: No one never knew Superman's age.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: In the movie, she's celebrating her 23rd birthday.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: 2000 years old.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: In the movie, she says she's celebrating her 23rd birthday.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: But it's a it's a it's a made up number because we don't know how these people are.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_00]: that was a problem I had that they didn't they didn't substantiate why she was in this pub crawl as the other little girl called it you're gonna go back to you pub crawl so yeah i didn't like that um
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: There was some subtle insinuation that she might have had relations with some of the weirder alien people, which I thought was kind of weird.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: Actually the young girl, except that the bad guy killed her parents, I didn't see her having any real purpose at all.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: She had this amazing sword that she didn't know how to use.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: which I won't give anything away, but you didn't.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: the villain, and throughout almost the whole movie was stronger than Supergirl all the way up to the end, which didn't make any sense.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: So you get shot up with three hits a kryptonite and somehow it doesn't die.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: Hold on a second, it makes total sense.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: She was on a red planet at first, then she was on a planet that the yellow sun was in.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: So at that point, yes, there should have been a little bit different.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: But then she's on top, she ends up on a planet with a green sun.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_00]: great, but you also got shot with kryptonite, which is pretty much it.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: Three times with no end and then left alone in a cave for God knows how long while they find and want to try to find the antidote.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: So this is what I thought.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: I thought 90% of this movie, I was watching Grunge Girl.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: not super girl.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: Grunge girl.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: Then toward the end of the movie, when she finally becomes the actual super girl and starts doing super girl kind of stuff.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_00]: To me, tons of effects, not a lot of story.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: and just kind of all over the place.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there was some subtle human trafficking with the young girls.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: Settle there.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: I was, they didn't, they didn't bring it out.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't make it a big part of it.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: Settle, there was a whole trade that had to go girls from one girl.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: How was that?
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was at Settle, right?
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: But that wasn't, that wasn't the theme of this movie wasn't battling human trafficking.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: I said it wasn't.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: I said there were little mini themes, but it wasn't.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't subtle.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they didn't really kind of bring it out out.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it was more, what did they say?
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: They actually said that they were taking these girls so they could continue their race.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: is what they were doing.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't selling them.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: They were using them to continue the race of the bad guys.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: Which is sexual trafficking.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: Which is, yes.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: But they didn't come out and say it like, generally sexual trafficking is where you kidnap people, young girls mostly.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: And then you use them to make money off of other people.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: The whole point, yeah, but it's still sexual trafficking because they were impregnating the girls so they can continue to make emails.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: Which is a reflection on the whole.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: It was in the other area as well, too.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I thought the fact that that what that kind of subtle was not a bad thing in the movie.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I gave the movie a seven.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: You gave it a seven and a half.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: I gave it a seven because
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: overall with the effects and and the the battles and just and the and Jason Jason I agree Jason should have been in it more.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: I thought and I thought the road the hot what what they had him do was kind of goofy to me.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: They could have used them more and in a better way.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: But I still gave it a seven.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'd probably watch this again when it streams.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think it lived up to the Superman slash Supergirl image that, you know, I grew up with the original Superman and black and white TV.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going all the way back to, you know, the American, what was his line?
- 28:42[SPEAKER_01]: The Stone Age?
- 28:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we know.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what was Superman's line?
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: faster than a speeding bullet fighting all for the locomotive right or faster than a faster than a faster than a faster than a faster than a faster than a speedable in my front of the locomotive.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: It will leave tall buildings in the same amount of superman and then there was a tagline look up in the sky it's not a bird it's a plane it's superman.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it was fighting for Justice and the American way.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever, I forgot what that tagline is, and I'll get yelled at by my son.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: But he's yelling at you right now.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: That wasn't here.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: That wasn't here at all.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: And there were moments where I was like, OK, now that couldn't happen.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: that you know you want to you this is these are movies where you want to suspend your your disbelief that's part of these kind that's what these movies are about suspending your disbelief and going in and just enjoying it so if you're sitting there and and you're saying I think you mean truth justice in the American way thank you and you're saying
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, that didn't make sense then you're not suspending you just believe and just like endgame endgame like I watch endgame and I never once thought You know like what would reality be here because it was that movie was in a escape movie And that's what these are supposed to be and this one didn't do it for me
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: right, but you're also comparing Marvel to DC.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm just comparing the genre.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: You're comparing Marvel to DC.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm there's comparing the genre.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: But but because of the creators behind all of this stuff, Marvel has always been looked at as the more popular brand as far as comic books is concerned and DC has always been considered the lesser.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: Right, and that's part of what the problem is between these movies is that D.C. has never lived up to the same length as marble has it's never had the same popularity.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: I agree, but it's still one giant genre of superheroes defending good and this movie until the very end doesn't do that in my opinion.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's just me.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: I could be wrong.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not, but I could be, and somebody's screaming at the right right now.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: And you could be wrong, saying, and you are wrong.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't set in and enjoy it.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: I enjoyed it.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: I just didn't, it didn't live up to what I was hoping.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: When I saw the, the previews for this movie, I was really hyped to see it.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: I told you that.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I saw the preview for Supergun.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking forward to it.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: And unfortunately, it, uh,
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't, it didn't, it didn't, but you still gave it a seven.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: I gave it a seven.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I gave it a, because it's entertaining.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not, it doesn't, it's entertaining, but it doesn't fulfill the requirements of this genre for me.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: Just for me.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Not for you.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you didn't stop defending yourself because nobody's done.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: We look alike, but we don't take a look at anything alike and one of these days We're going to have your son call in and verify that we don't look anything alike So there we go.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway folks, those are the reviews take them or leave them again We are not critics.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're not educated in the sense of how im educated
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: Can I finish what I'm saying please before you went around me?
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, I can't because that is what you do on every single show Exactly, we are not educated in the sense of that's not what we dis uh like that's not what we did our life Designed our life to be we were like oh, we're gonna be critics like Roger.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, that wasn't the point of this the point of this is that We're two guys who enjoy media and we're just giving our own opinion Right of what we think when it's factual and then there's years.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay anyway now we know who's the BSer anyway
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: so let's move on let's move on because you know you tend to talk way too much anyway so worst make up let's see how well you did with your assignment so go ahead what movies do you think had the worst make up well there's there's I have two and then a third as a alternate start with the second one great tricks oh
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, come on.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: I love Ryan Reynolds, but when it went on, Ryan, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: hit the costume to the face, to the facial stuff, it's just the hair, not that it didn't work for me.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: I said that a long time ago when the first came out, I got halfway through that movie and stopped watching it.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_00]: But again, I go back to the original with Bruce Lee is Cato, and Bruce Lee is Cato was, I mean, no one's going to ever be Cato like that again.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: Just Cato was the,
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: Cato was the crime fighter, the green lantern, wait, Green lantern, not Green lantern.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: What the hell are you talking about, Green lantern?
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: Cato is nothing to do with Green lantern.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's green horn, right?
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: She's Louise, are you even, did you even touch the green lantern too?
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, time to fix it.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: I am literally, you're saying, now screaming at the radio going, what the hell are you talking about?
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: Take two.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_00]: Take two, green lantern, not Green, not Green Horned.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_00]: Green lantern, sorry.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: Cato is nothing to do with Green lantern.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: No, except that he was on a Kato diet for a little while.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's Kato.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's pronounced Kato.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's something that wasn't around.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: But it still pronounced during the KATO, which is Kato.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: So he wasn't on that.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, it's green lanterns.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: I miss shit.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: I misspoke.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: I can misspoke.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: You're still full of shit.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, the other one.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'll get my first one now.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: Battlefield Earth, which on turn you can see that movie?
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I did.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: Sadly.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: I did.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: And the makeup there was just like, oh my god, it was just really bad.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: It just didn't work.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: It was a John Trevota.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know how to describe what he looked like without that makeup.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_00]: It was just like, it was way beyond anything.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, it was early sci-fi kind of movie, but it was early-ish compared to now.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_00]: 2000?
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: Is early?
- 35:06[SPEAKER_00]: that's 26 years ago.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's 26 years ago.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_00]: They had just started doing the Star Trek movie.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: And over 26 years before that was Star Wars.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: So there have been sci-fi movies way before that.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but like this one, this is really bad.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_00]: This one was, this make up and you have to agree.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: Hell, there was three Star Trek, actually there were probably at least six Star Trek movies before this.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: But they were with the original Star Trek cast.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, no, the generation's cast was in next generation was in it, too.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: In the 1990s, I don't think so.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you're gonna be a bit of a bit of a mistooking.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that would have meant I'd only be very tanned.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: Let's look at Star Trek movies and when they were released, especially when you could stop listening to them.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: Oh God.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: Come on.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so numbers just came out in 2002.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: But that was the last of those Star Trek movies.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: That was the last of those Star Trek movies, which means there were no, it means that there were two other next generation cast movies that came out before that.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: That were before 2000.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm going to get there.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: Just keep talking.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm good done.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_01]: No, you're not good done.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: You said you had three of them.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: That was only two.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the third one was just cost-earned water world.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: I just thought to make up their didn't work.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: Cost-earned water.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the whole movie didn't work.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_00]: the home movie got paned by so many people.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: What make up what make up effects were in that movie?
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: There we make.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: There's make up effects in every movie.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: What make up effects were in that movie.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's so bad.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_00]: Put your money where you mouth is.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: The scenes, the water getting all crazy.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: Dark check generation came out in 1994.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: That was the next generation cast.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: First conflict was 1996, that was also the next generation culture.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_00]: Before 2000, before the year 2000, before I took A, so was insurrection, which is also that same cast of the 1998.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm still saying that the makeup was horrible.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think we feel earth.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: We've proven.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just I prove my point.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: You're going your side trekking here like no, there were a ton of stuff.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: I believe me came up before to your side trek Oh, maybe I'm learning something from you.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you should eventually learn something my guy Not from you.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: Those are mine.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: What are you?
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: Zack?
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's all you have just three.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_01]: Three.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: Okay
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: and you don't agree with any.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: So first of all, Battlefield Earth was on my radar because I haven't seen it.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: I refuse to see it because I don't because all I, all you've to do is look at the preview and look at John Travolta and that got off of makeup and just go, what in the world is that?
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like what clinging on rip off is that.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's basically what that baseball got was.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: Very good.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: Very good.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: You're welcome.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, I didn't do ITX.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of laughed throughout that whole movie.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: Is that because you didn't want to go on the obvious whole thing about how bad that reverse concept make up thing was?
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_00]: No, I just I watch Y chicks and kind of enjoy it.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: But I like those guys.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_00]: I like them.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's Gary movie.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: I like those movies.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but the makeup was so pale and rigid.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's not even funny.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't disagree, but I, however, I think that was a point of the movie, though.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: However, because of the movie, that probably was the point because they wanted to be over-campus.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: Right, that's fine.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: However, I'm going to pull another one out.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing but trouble.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: Dan Ackrey.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: He plays a 606-year-old judge, and the makeup team saw fit to give him a crust, a grotesque fat suit, and a prosthetic nose that was deliberately shaped like the male genitalia.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's so bad.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, it's terrible.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing but trouble.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, nothing but trouble.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: I saw it when I was a kid.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, I think I saw it when I was in high school.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: When were you a kid?
- 38:53[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we don't need to go there.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: And then last but not least, and I'm sorry, Marvel fans, I have to do this fantastic for 2015.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: The Dr. Doom cheap gray melted plastic look was just absolutely horrible.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: Not to mention Kate Marra and her blonde wig, which was it fitting or was it changing lengths or what was going on with that?
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: whatever and of course I know we said make up but guess what hair and makeup go together so there we go.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the three.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm surprised you didn't say trolls too because you brought that up a couple of times too but you don't know why would I say trolls too?
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: I like trolls.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: because you have mentioned that movie before.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also surprised you said nothing about Jay Edgar, which is where Leonardo DiCaprio was an innocent movie that Clint East would did.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: And that horrible effect make up that they tried to use to make Leonardo look older than he actually was and it was so bad, it's not even funny.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, that's it.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm done.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to keep going on this.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's just so many things actually talk about with so many of these different movies, but anyway, that's a look at the movies.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: And when I make a people, so if you make a people out there, if you work that one of these films, don't take it personally, we're not make a people.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: We're not critics either, so there's really no reason for those to take it personally either, because we're just talking about movies where we thought the makeup was in that great.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: We are good looking men though.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm more I am more than you, but that's okay.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, that's the show for this week folks.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: Holy one of us is vain too, by the way.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you anyway.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: Well, of course we'll be back next week.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about worst visual effects there.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: I said it, so now it's visual effect.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: Now if you are not ready next week, it's all your fault.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'll be ready.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll do worse virtual effects next week.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about the movies that we're going to, are that are coming out.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: You'll review minions and monsters.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I will review a Nolan Holmes 3, which is going to be released on Netflix as of right now, actually.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: So there's the episode folks.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for listening and watching and for screaming at your radio while you're listening to us.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: We totally appreciate that.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: And until next week, save us some popcorn.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: Subcheezy, popcorn.
