- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's Mark Simone. Welcome to the bonus segment just
- 0:04Speaker 1: for you podcast listeners. We love our podcast audience and
- 0:08Speaker 1: get lunch to get to here. So, Mom, Donnie, the
- 0:12Speaker 1: snowstorm this weekend, this will be his first big test.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Now he comes in the campaigning is a socialist, but
- 0:20Speaker 1: snowstorm kind of changes everything because then you got to
- 0:22Speaker 1: put on that special you know, field jacket that the
- 0:25Speaker 1: mayor wears with the logo on it. You're with all
- 0:26Speaker 1: these municipal workers and who knows, maybe it'll change, Mom Donnie.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Maybe he'll watch them handle the storm and realize you'd
- 0:36Speaker 1: better be a little more of a realist and a
- 0:38Speaker 1: practicalist than the socialist. As Warren Buffett said, there's only
- 0:43Speaker 1: two places in the world where they still have faith
- 0:47Speaker 1: in socialism and communism, North Korea and the English Department
- 0:52Speaker 1: at Yale. That's about it. Hey, Over at CBS News,
- 0:56Speaker 1: expect some more changes coming. This woman, Barry Weiss, who's
- 1:02Speaker 1: fair and balanced, who is sent in to straighten out
- 1:05Speaker 1: CBS News, is driving them crazy over there. As we
- 1:08Speaker 1: told you during the week, she's looking to get rid
- 1:10Speaker 1: of Gail King, who is the most overpaid anchor in
- 1:13Speaker 1: the world. Does the morning show on CBS that always bombs,
- 1:17Speaker 1: is always in third place, doesn't do anything. But now
- 1:21Speaker 1: she's looking at sixty minutes. Expect Scott Pelly and Sharon
- 1:26Speaker 1: Alphonsi to be in a lot of trouble there. Their
- 1:29Speaker 1: jobs are on the line. She is not happy with
- 1:32Speaker 1: them now at sixty minutes. This is a one time
- 1:37Speaker 1: the biggest show in television, Mike Wallace and Harry Reisner
- 1:40Speaker 1: and Morley Safe Well, that's all gone. For the last
- 1:43Speaker 1: few years, it's been the most corrupt fake news show
- 1:46Speaker 1: in the world, the most slanted nonsense, literally doctor up
- 1:51Speaker 1: interviews in a fake way. They did it with the
- 1:53Speaker 1: Kamala Harris interview, they did it with the Trump interview.
- 1:57Speaker 1: So she is really worried about sixty minutes. And apparently
- 2:01Speaker 1: Barry Weiss, this new woman in charge, has been sitting
- 2:04Speaker 1: in on the meetings, the planning meetings, the editorial meetings
- 2:08Speaker 1: for sixty minutes and it's driving them crazy over there.
- 2:11Speaker 1: They're outraged, they're offended. They think she has no business
- 2:15Speaker 1: being there, and she was there to help produce the newscast.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And one of these people, one of the women, screamed
- 2:22Speaker 1: that her you're not producing me. So, as one person said,
- 2:26Speaker 1: CBS News is allergic to change. Now. She's really upset
- 2:31Speaker 1: by these that Sharon Alphonsi, who apparently like really fought
- 2:38Speaker 1: her tooth and nail. And then Scott Pelley, you know,
- 2:41Speaker 1: that mild mannered looking guy. Apparently he's really outrageous behind
- 2:45Speaker 1: the scenes, you know, really fighting her, battling her. This
- 2:49Speaker 1: is the guy that did that commencement speech that's aid
- 2:51Speaker 1: all kinds of crazy partisan crap. You know, your CBS
- 2:55Speaker 1: News correspondent, You're not supposed to do that. So apparently
- 3:00Speaker 1: Pelly and the others are all yelling behind the scenes.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Barry Weiss is not qualified to be our boss. What
- 3:05Speaker 1: does she know about journalism. That's how crazy these people are.
- 3:10Speaker 1: They think they're still doing journalism. They're doing the most
- 3:12Speaker 1: partisan political advocacy. What they're doing is not even close
- 3:16Speaker 1: to journalism. That's why Weiss is there to try to
- 3:19Speaker 1: get them back into journalism. So expect some big changes.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Expect people to be leaving sixty minutes. That's pretty good news.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Then after that she'll get to the morning show. She's
- 3:33Speaker 1: already already changed the evening news on CBS a little
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's still kind of biased and all that, but it's
- 3:39Speaker 1: got some very fair moments in it. Hey here in
- 3:42Speaker 1: New York, this is an awful story NYPD. Three plain
- 3:47Speaker 1: close detectives are out there and something happened, Something goes wrong,
- 3:54Speaker 1: one of them gets hurt. The three plain close detectives,
- 3:57Speaker 1: one of them is hurt, the other two take them
- 3:59Speaker 1: to the emergency room NYU langone in Brooklyn in Cobble Hill.
- 4:05Speaker 1: The staff at NYU thinks they're maybe their ICE or
- 4:08Speaker 1: something ice agents, so they refuse to treat them. Can
- 4:12Speaker 1: you imagine this. They start giving them a hard time.
- 4:15Speaker 1: The detectives were told they can't go into the er
- 4:18Speaker 1: with their guns, so one of the cops agrees to
- 4:21Speaker 1: hold the guns and not go in. The other two
- 4:24Speaker 1: go in. Then the hospital staff approaches the second detective
- 4:28Speaker 1: now he's in the waiting room, tells him he has
- 4:30Speaker 1: to leave because he was armed. Big fight breaks out.
- 4:34Speaker 1: They will not treat these guys. And then at that
- 4:37Speaker 1: point two detectives heard the staff overheard them saying they
- 4:41Speaker 1: thought they were ICE and they should go seek care elsewhere.
- 4:46Speaker 1: They properly identified themselves as NYPD. Staff gave them a
- 4:49Speaker 1: hard time wouldn't treat them. Have you ever heard of
- 4:51Speaker 1: anything so disgusting, so despicable? No matter who it was,
- 4:56Speaker 1: you're an emergency room, you can't deny care to anybody
- 4:59Speaker 1: in individual and especially NYPD Detectives injured in the line
- 5:04Speaker 1: of duty should never be subject of this. So this
- 5:07Speaker 1: is Nyu lang Goone. The Detectives Endowment Association is investigating
- 5:11Speaker 1: the matter. The will pursue all sorts of remedies, sources said.
- 5:16Speaker 1: The hospital officials later apologized to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tish.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Commissioner Tish said she's in direct contact with Nyu lang
- 5:27Speaker 1: goone on this matter. Now remember, not only is it
- 5:31Speaker 1: the police department, the police commissioner that you've horribly, horribly disrespected,
- 5:35Speaker 1: So of course the hospital is going to apologize, but
- 5:38Speaker 1: remember it's also a Tish and the Tish family one
- 5:42Speaker 1: of the biggest donors of all to Nyu lang Goone.
- 5:47Speaker 1: In fact, if you go over there on the east
- 5:49Speaker 1: side to Nyu Langon you'll notice one of the buildings
- 5:52Speaker 1: is named the Tish Building. So they're major figures as
- 5:56Speaker 1: donors as board members at Nyu lang goone. So you
- 6:00Speaker 1: can be sure this will get cleaned up and hopefully
- 6:03Speaker 1: extreme discipline for those employees that did that to send
- 6:07Speaker 1: a message to everybody else. Hey. Nick Reiner, son of
- 6:13Speaker 1: Rob Reiner. They say he's almost childlike in jail. TMC
- 6:19Speaker 1: investigation says, he's just his mental state is horrible. This
- 6:24Speaker 1: childlike he does not he can't even process the consequences
- 6:28Speaker 1: of what he does. They say, he knows what he did,
- 6:30Speaker 1: he just can't understand where he is right now. The
- 6:35Speaker 1: murders that, by the way, the murders were incredibly brutal.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Apparently the medical examiner's office people were traumatized just by
- 6:44Speaker 1: the pictures. These are people that work in a medical
- 6:47Speaker 1: examiner's office. They say it was so brutal that even
- 6:51Speaker 1: they were stunned by the pictures. Now, according to this investigation,
- 6:56Speaker 1: they think obviously he was mentally ill, he was diagno schizophrenic.
- 7:01Speaker 1: But they're saying they believe the killings had all the
- 7:04Speaker 1: markings of a meth murder, and they'd been using meth
- 7:08Speaker 1: and that's when he went completely off the rails. They
- 7:11Speaker 1: had also switched his medication, his prescription medication psychotropic drugs
- 7:16Speaker 1: which can make you totally crazy. You combine that with
- 7:20Speaker 1: meth and this guy was just a time bomb waiting
- 7:23Speaker 1: to go off. Absolutely horrible. Hey, did you see Mom
- 7:29Speaker 1: Donnie on the view? Just in these few co hosts,
- 7:33Speaker 1: these crazy women on the view, gushing all over him,
- 7:37Speaker 1: drooling all over him. He said he wants to abolish ice.
- 7:42Speaker 1: He told the hosts he doesn't see federal Immigration and
- 7:46Speaker 1: Customs enforcement doing anything to help public safety. And of
- 7:49Speaker 1: course that's insane. If you got dangerous criminals, a rapist,
- 7:53Speaker 1: a murderer or robber, and you take them off the street,
- 7:55Speaker 1: obviously you've done something to help people. But the crazy
- 7:59Speaker 1: women in the view all just bobbleheads nodding at him.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Mom Donnie also used his time to double down on
- 8:07Speaker 1: the Renee Good shooting, calling it a murder. It's not,
- 8:11Speaker 1: by any legal definition murder. There's no courtroom in the
- 8:14Speaker 1: world where it'd be considered murder. There's no police department
- 8:17Speaker 1: on earth that would consider that murder. It's perfectly within
- 8:20Speaker 1: the law. Maybe you could argue he didn't have to fire,
- 8:22Speaker 1: he could have let go, and maybe they could have
- 8:25Speaker 1: captured her a couple of blocks away. But if you
- 8:27Speaker 1: do fire, it's perfectly legal, and it's within the guidelines
- 8:30Speaker 1: if the car is coming at you. But that's the
- 8:34Speaker 1: view I mean, that's why he's there. That's why he's
- 8:36Speaker 1: not going on Hannity anytime soon. He's not subjecting himself
- 8:40Speaker 1: to any He's not even going on Joe Rogan. He
- 8:42Speaker 1: will not subject himself to any tough interviews. AOC is
- 8:48Speaker 1: going after jd Vance a lot. Why she so busy
- 8:54Speaker 1: going after jd Vance? Well, some people think that's an
- 8:56Speaker 1: indication that she's thinking a running for president in twenty
- 9:00Speaker 1: twenty eight. Most people believe jd Vance is the most
- 9:06Speaker 1: logical twenty twenty eight Republican nominee somethink Rubio. But you
- 9:11Speaker 1: never know if somebody else could rise up. But right
- 9:14Speaker 1: now it looks like Advance. So the fact that AOC
- 9:16Speaker 1: keeps going after him means that's what she's plotting to
- 9:19Speaker 1: be the candidate in twenty twenty eight. Now, you might say, well,
- 9:24Speaker 1: but it looks like Gavin Newsom has got it wrapped up.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Don't be so sure. Gavin Newsom's going to have a
- 9:30Speaker 1: lot of problems. In fact, the most important key Democratic
- 9:35Speaker 1: spokesman is David Axelrod. He's the smartest of all these guys.
- 9:40Speaker 1: He's also the closest to the Obamas. And David Axelrod
- 9:45Speaker 1: this week in one of these things, was saying that
- 9:49Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom is getting tedious, very annoying. He really went
- 9:54Speaker 1: after Gavin Newsom as tedious, childish, should stick to his lane,
- 9:58Speaker 1: should go back to trying to be a governor. That's
- 10:01Speaker 1: interesting because anytime Axelrod speaks, he's speaking for Obama as well.
- 10:06Speaker 1: So you got to figure the Obamas behind the scenes
- 10:09Speaker 1: are still running the party. And remember, usually when you're
- 10:16Speaker 1: this far away from the election, there's always some good
- 10:18Speaker 1: looking politician who's way out in front. He looks good,
- 10:21Speaker 1: he sounds good, he's all over the news. He's very
- 10:24Speaker 1: Those good looking pretty boys in the end never get
- 10:28Speaker 1: the nomination. They're always big two years out. You can
- 10:30Speaker 1: think of John Edwards and Gary Hart, but they never
- 10:34Speaker 1: end up ever getting the nomination. So keep an eye
- 10:38Speaker 1: on that. Hey, you know, AI is great stuff, but
- 10:42Speaker 1: a lot of people think it's going to put a
- 10:43Speaker 1: lot of people out of work. It's going to take
- 10:45Speaker 1: a lot of jobs away, not just ordinary the top
- 10:48Speaker 1: white collar jobs, legal jobs, accounting jobs. AI can wipe
- 10:52Speaker 1: that all out, but you know what, it's really hurting
- 10:55Speaker 1: right now. Already is a million websites are getting killed
- 10:58Speaker 1: by AI. You know, if you want to look up
- 11:01Speaker 1: some news or information or news stories, where do you go?
- 11:05Speaker 1: You go to the New York Post website, You go
- 11:06Speaker 1: to the New York Times website, You go to a
- 11:09Speaker 1: million websites. Every time you need to look up the
- 11:12Speaker 1: news or see what, you go to the websites. A
- 11:16Speaker 1: lot of people, more and more are using AI. Now,
- 11:19Speaker 1: what happens with AI? It goes through every website, gathers everything,
- 11:24Speaker 1: and AI gives you the answer. The problem is when
- 11:26Speaker 1: you use AI to get your information, you didn't go
- 11:29Speaker 1: to the websites, and they don't get the same credit.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So a website that was getting a million hits a day,
- 11:36Speaker 1: now that a lot of people are using AI, suddenly
- 11:38Speaker 1: it's only getting eight hundred thousand hits a day. And
- 11:41Speaker 1: the more and more people use AI, it's going to
- 11:44Speaker 1: keep dropping. So websites are losing clicks like crazy, losing
- 11:48Speaker 1: hits like crazy. This is going to affect them. This
- 11:51Speaker 1: is going to affect how much money they take in revenue,
- 11:54Speaker 1: and they don't know what to do about it. The
- 11:56Speaker 1: New York Times publisher already saying they got a big problem.
- 12:00Speaker 1: They have to figure this out. If everybody's gonna use
- 12:03Speaker 1: AI rather than go to the actual news websites, these
- 12:06Speaker 1: news sites are gonna have to figure out another form
- 12:08Speaker 1: of revenue if they want to keep going. Kelsey Grammer, Fraser,
- 12:15Speaker 1: look at this. He called Trump one of the greatest
- 12:17Speaker 1: presidents we've ever had. He's quote, I think he's extraordinary.
- 12:22Speaker 1: He's one of the greatest presidents we've ever had, maybe
- 12:24Speaker 1: the greatest. There's some things he still wants to get done,
- 12:28Speaker 1: and I think that's terrific. But there was a big
- 12:30Speaker 1: hill to climb. Woy, he's just praising him. Now. A
- 12:33Speaker 1: lot of people praise Trump. But this is a Hollywood figure,
- 12:36Speaker 1: a Hollywood actor. Pretty unusual. You never hear anybody in
- 12:41Speaker 1: Hollywood talk like that. That's really unusual. How does he
- 12:46Speaker 1: have the nerve to do that? Well, he's already a
- 12:49Speaker 1: big star. Fraser's already a big hit. There's a lot
- 12:52Speaker 1: of risk talking like that in Hollywood, but I guess
- 12:54Speaker 1: he's not afraid anymore. Hey, speaking of Hollywood, guess what
- 12:59Speaker 1: got picked us by According a massive survey, the worst
- 13:03Speaker 1: tourist designation destination, Worst tourist destination in the world. The
- 13:10Speaker 1: Hollywood Walk of Fame, you know where they have the
- 13:11Speaker 1: stars and the sidewalk. Thousands and thousands of reviews said
- 13:16Speaker 1: it was the most horrible rundown, dirty area. It's not
- 13:21Speaker 1: that they didn't like the stars and the Walk of Fame,
- 13:23Speaker 1: it's that the whole place was surrounded by homeless. There
- 13:26Speaker 1: were needles all over the place. They felt dangerous, they
- 13:29Speaker 1: didn't feel safe there. They really wanted to get out
- 13:32Speaker 1: of there. It seemed like a very dangerous neighborhood. That's Hollywood,
- 13:36Speaker 1: that's Governor Gavin Newsom, that's California. Hey, we're out of time,
- 13:40Speaker 1: Thanks for listening. I'm here every day Monday through Friday,
- 13:43Speaker 1: ten to noon. I hope you can listen then. If not,
- 13:46Speaker 1: the podcast and every weekend a bonus segment for you.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Thanks for listening. Have a great weekend.
