- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists.
- 0:07Speaker 1: This week we have a scoop unlike any other. That's right,
- 0:11Speaker 1: we're sitting down with some of the main creators and
- 0:13Speaker 1: video game developers for the Grand Theft Auto six series.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Grand Theft Auto six is the most anticipated new game
- 0:23Speaker 2: as marked by an award they're most recently nominated for
- 0:26Speaker 2: of twenty twenty five, and these executives, creators, designers, and
- 0:31Speaker 2: creatives at Rockstar Games gave us the very very specific
- 0:37Speaker 2: exclusive that nobody else has gotten.
- 0:40Speaker 3: So get in that car, drive real fast and go
- 0:44Speaker 3: to the Strip club because it's GTA six.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Let's listen, let's listen in.
- 0:56Speaker 4: This is fucking massive. I just want to make sure
- 0:58Speaker 4: we're roll like none of us to have like, uh,
- 1:01Speaker 4: I don't know, I don't want any leaked audio.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Can we get the phones off too, as we mentioned
- 1:06Speaker 2: on the table.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yeah, and we we do have those like if you're
- 1:09Speaker 3: really addicted, we have those little pouches if you could
- 1:11Speaker 3: put it in the pouch that's magnet sealed.
- 1:13Speaker 5: Because we just really we've we've had some problem.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Everbody signed their NDA, right, everybody signed these we haven't.
- 1:20Speaker 6: Yeah, and even though we don't have like the sort
- 1:21Speaker 6: of fidget spinners and hands stuff to occupy ourselves and
- 1:24Speaker 6: we don't have our phones. I think we're gonna be Okay,
- 1:26Speaker 6: my bad for forgetting that.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Don't worry about Okay, I'm gonna be fine.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Like actually, no, I'm just gonna like tap my foot
- 1:33Speaker 4: if everyone's cool with that.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Sure, we're really excited about this game. Everybody is excited
- 1:38Speaker 2: about this game. That's actually not news. Like what I'm
- 1:40Speaker 2: saying is basically air, Like, I know, this is the
- 1:43Speaker 2: most exciting game, and you're excited and we're excited. That's
- 1:46Speaker 2: just kind of how it is. And we're really happy
- 1:48Speaker 2: to be here to talk to everybody exactly.
- 1:50Speaker 4: It's actually i'd say it's been one of the craziest
- 1:53Speaker 4: hardest things to be in development for I don't know,
- 1:57Speaker 4: at least ten plus years on this game and this,
- 1:59Speaker 4: I mean, being a part of this franchise, and it's
- 2:01Speaker 4: just so sensitive. I mean, we have so I mean,
- 2:04Speaker 4: I don't know, like maybe we just like cut the
- 2:05Speaker 4: ship and just let everyone know, like we have nicknames
- 2:07Speaker 4: for stuff.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Well, this is supposed to come out after hopefully.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Right, so we can talk fully candidly about what's going on,
- 2:14Speaker 3: but we just for the moment. I mean, it's it's
- 2:17Speaker 3: we've got like about a month which I and I
- 2:20Speaker 3: trust everybody in this room fully, but we got to
- 2:23Speaker 3: keep this information under lock and key, where we have
- 2:25Speaker 3: a triple safe system that we're going to use. So my, my,
- 2:30Speaker 3: my security guys should be good on that.
- 2:31Speaker 2: This is going to be released in what we like
- 2:33Speaker 2: to call it Rockstar games, the realm of knowing, and
- 2:36Speaker 2: we aren't currently in the realm of knowing now. Yeah,
- 2:39Speaker 2: so this is the realm of the unknown, and everybody
- 2:41Speaker 2: in this room, as we've mentioned, is being trusted with
- 2:45Speaker 2: something very.
- 2:46Speaker 6: Yes, it's so funny that you say that, because I
- 2:48Speaker 6: feel like for so long we haven't been in the
- 2:50Speaker 6: realm of knowing literally, but now that we're here, it's
- 2:53Speaker 6: almost like something I couldn't even have imagined.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Well, you love, you're always talking about you cannot wait
- 2:57Speaker 1: until we get to go.
- 2:58Speaker 6: You know, I've worked on I've worked on games before,
- 3:00Speaker 6: We've all worked on games with four and there's the
- 3:02Speaker 6: time where you just anticipate being in that sort of
- 3:05Speaker 6: ethereal place of the realm of knowing because the majority
- 3:08Speaker 6: of the development cycle is not that. And yet here
- 3:11Speaker 6: we are.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Here, we are. There's going to be a moment when
- 3:13Speaker 1: it's released and we don't have to hide anything anymore.
- 3:17Speaker 1: We just have to hope it goes well.
- 3:19Speaker 2: And that is in many ways kind of like coital
- 3:22Speaker 2: love making, right, Like the moment of release is where
- 3:25Speaker 2: your partner knows you.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Yeah, And it's crazy that in games and you say
- 3:28Speaker 4: that all the time. You always say.
- 3:32Speaker 2: To me, making a video game is like making love,
- 3:34Speaker 2: and nothing nothing is more true than Grand Theft Auto,
- 3:37Speaker 2: which is all about making love. This game is about
- 3:40Speaker 2: falling in love, out of love and relationships.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yeah, let's introduce ourselves first before we get any spoilers,
- 3:46Speaker 1: potential spoilers. Way, I mean, it's out, but.
- 3:48Speaker 6: It honestly feels crazy to even have you tease that.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I know you're right, you know what, I might
- 3:53Speaker 2: have just revealed that this is the very very first
- 3:55Speaker 2: Grand Theft Auto ever that somebody might fall out of love,
- 3:58Speaker 2: and that the thing.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Here's the thing, here's the thing. Someone's always falling in
- 4:02Speaker 4: love with the city, and that's like what grounds us. Right, So,
- 4:06Speaker 4: no matter what, there's.
- 4:07Speaker 2: That, if not the character the player, let's talk about ourselves.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Let's get into the realm.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Let's get into it. Maybe we should introduce ourselves.
- 4:18Speaker 4: What's the funk up? What's the fuck up? I am?
- 4:23Speaker 6: We stopped, we like stopped making fun of you for
- 4:26Speaker 6: that a while.
- 4:28Speaker 5: It doesn't I got to stop.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Up.
- 4:32Speaker 4: What's the fucking funk up? What's up? What's fuck up? Fucking?
- 4:37Speaker 4: What's up? The fu up?
- 4:39Speaker 5: Barn over here?
- 4:42Speaker 4: Fucking up the gates, the gates.
- 4:46Speaker 2: We love Mark. Mark.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Mark is a.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Huge wherever you are get into how he falls.
- 4:53Speaker 1: He sent us a video one time and he just
- 4:55Speaker 1: said I like it, and it was just you know,
- 4:57Speaker 1: when you when Mark Maren says he likes something, you
- 5:00Speaker 1: know he really like.
- 5:01Speaker 3: He did the whole podcast set up just to send
- 5:04Speaker 3: us that video. He got on Mike, he tested levels.
- 5:06Speaker 4: You know, I'm gonna go back. What the fuck up?
- 5:09Speaker 1: Okay?
- 5:09Speaker 2: The fuck?
- 5:09Speaker 4: What's up? The fucking what's up? I'm Sarah Diggs. Been
- 5:14Speaker 4: in Get video games for since I think I was
- 5:16Speaker 4: like twelve, built my own PC when I was ten.
- 5:21Speaker 2: It's gonna be fun. Maybe first game he.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Played, first game I ever played, I'd say it was
- 5:26Speaker 4: on the leap Frog.
- 5:27Speaker 3: So leap Frog I know a lot of great guys
- 5:32Speaker 3: on leap Frog.
- 5:32Speaker 4: They've got that team is trog the thing that's like
- 5:36Speaker 4: a learning no no, no, yeah, the original. They throw
- 5:40Speaker 4: so many pizza parties. Good guys, good game. Ye, great
- 5:43Speaker 4: people over there. I'm just grateful to be a part
- 5:45Speaker 4: of this.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Some of the creepiest pizza parties I've been to.
- 5:50Speaker 4: I do a lot.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Can we say that?
- 5:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I think yeah, we could say that and just.
- 5:54Speaker 2: No, just no.
- 5:57Speaker 1: GTA secrets are coming up soon. We're just getting time.
- 6:00Speaker 6: But like sometimes we use it as an excuse just
- 6:02Speaker 6: to like tell secrets about other people. We know. That's fine,
- 6:05Speaker 6: as you're.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Saying anyway, what I mainly do for GTA is like
- 6:09Speaker 4: kind of like a dramaturg maybe, but like for the city,
- 6:11Speaker 4: we'll be like that wouldn't really happen at this intersection. Yeah,
- 6:15Speaker 4: and I talk we I get really specific on I
- 6:17Speaker 4: know GT five is in La Believe, yes, and I yeah, yeah,
- 6:22Speaker 4: And it was like very very clear to me where
- 6:24Speaker 4: it was like, no, this intersection has a red light,
- 6:28Speaker 4: like a left turn on a red light thing, Like
- 6:30Speaker 4: I get really specific in like building what is real?
- 6:33Speaker 1: Yeah, you walk around these cities and you fall in
- 6:36Speaker 1: love with these cities to find out what the city is.
- 6:38Speaker 3: And it's so integral to have a Miami consultant on
- 6:41Speaker 3: the game, like that is something that's really important to us.
- 6:45Speaker 4: And where are you from? Again? Remind me, I'm not
- 6:48Speaker 4: from Miami, Okay, so where are you from?
- 6:51Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 6:51Speaker 4: So I'm not from Miami.
- 6:53Speaker 1: And okay, so where are you from. I'm from Tampa Okay,
- 6:57Speaker 1: So still Florida.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Yeah No. And I just I just am like, I
- 7:00Speaker 4: feel like there's like a Reddit forum and I'm just
- 7:02Speaker 4: gonna talk about it, and people are talking about the
- 7:04Speaker 4: fact that I am the Miami consultant and I'm not
- 7:06Speaker 4: a Miami native, and I just want to say, like,
- 7:09Speaker 4: fuck you, Florida, and I use.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Google Maps in your defense. We're not We're not We're
- 7:16Speaker 2: not asking you to make a cultural dish. We're not
- 7:19Speaker 2: asking you to catch the air of a nightclub. We
- 7:23Speaker 2: are asking you to lay out the streets of Miami,
- 7:26Speaker 2: something that you could learn on Google Maps. And I'm
- 7:28Speaker 2: not saying something that's mean. I'm saying, you're logistically designing
- 7:33Speaker 2: a city.
- 7:33Speaker 4: And I'll say what I'm mainly doing. There's so many
- 7:36Speaker 4: of us, right what I'm mainly doing is like traffic stuff,
- 7:40Speaker 4: like how many plant like that?
- 7:42Speaker 3: So you you could essentially build a city if you
- 7:45Speaker 3: needed to.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Like ity city planning. I'm not talking like the specific
- 7:49Speaker 4: palm trees or like.
- 7:50Speaker 6: Whatever the hell when you when people play GTA five,
- 7:53Speaker 6: one of the things they like to do is go
- 7:54Speaker 6: around to La and be like, hey, that's where my
- 7:56Speaker 6: first apartment was or I used to perform there. And
- 8:00Speaker 6: for you and Miami people are gonna want the authenticity
- 8:02Speaker 6: of that's where I would get stuff stuck in traffic
- 8:05Speaker 6: and get the ship kicked out of me.
- 8:06Speaker 4: That's an exit only lane, and like I'm looking out
- 8:10Speaker 4: for that stuff. That's like my twenty four seven.
- 8:12Speaker 6: And we've got like immersion is at the top of
- 8:14Speaker 6: our mind. Yeah, all the times of this game, and
- 8:16Speaker 6: if we lose that important element that you bring, then
- 8:20Speaker 6: it's just for nothing.
- 8:21Speaker 1: So we'll go ahead and introduce yourself.
- 8:23Speaker 6: Yeah, Hey, so I'm Devin Timber. I'm in charge of
- 8:26Speaker 6: a lot of it's going down. I'm smelling Timber.
- 8:31Speaker 4: He doesn't wear deodorant, Yeah, thinking they say that it's
- 8:34Speaker 4: just an in kind of like falls right off me
- 8:36Speaker 4: when I put it on and that's just that's just genetics.
- 8:39Speaker 6: It's not my fault. It's genetics.
- 8:41Speaker 2: You come from a long line of slick men.
- 8:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it falls off, and I didn't believe you at first,
- 8:47Speaker 3: but I saw it smell just the film right there.
- 8:51Speaker 6: It's not even stuck like a Listine tablet on my armpitch.
- 8:55Speaker 6: It just goes yeah yeah. So so glad we're getting
- 9:01Speaker 6: all my personal stuff at earlier.
- 9:05Speaker 5: I'll put that in the realm of not knowing.
- 9:08Speaker 6: Means a lot. So I'm actually in the animation department here,
- 9:12Speaker 6: and so because we are doing sort of a photo
- 9:15Speaker 6: realistic game, a lot of what I end up doing
- 9:18Speaker 6: is like trying to match realistic movements of the people
- 9:21Speaker 6: in the world, or of palm trees or in a
- 9:23Speaker 6: lot of case if you know people have seen the trailer,
- 9:26Speaker 6: a lot of twerking physics is really my focus huge.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And actually I do want to bring something up because
- 9:32Speaker 1: you've been working in specifically bodily animations for years now,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and people were always saying people in video games walk
- 9:40Speaker 1: weird because the the the graphics aren't there yet, the
- 9:44Speaker 1: information isn't there yet. But it's actually because you have
- 9:47Speaker 1: a very weird walk and you thought everybody walked like that.
- 9:49Speaker 6: Yeah, you know. For a while, like I my reference
- 9:52Speaker 6: point was me, so I was taking videos of myself
- 9:55Speaker 6: moving around. And turns out it's kind of strange to
- 9:58Speaker 6: a lot of people. Yeah, yeah, it's so it's a
- 10:00Speaker 6: little unusual.
- 10:01Speaker 1: So you've got a very blocky, choppy walk. I would say, yeah,
- 10:04Speaker 1: my knees.
- 10:05Speaker 2: And we sent you to the doctor. They found nothing wrong.
- 10:07Speaker 6: Yeah, no, nothing. Turns out I'm just a weird sent you,
- 10:10Speaker 6: and we.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Sent you because well, we had a meeting and we
- 10:12Speaker 3: were all just really worried and really concerned. I thought,
- 10:14Speaker 3: you know, maybe maybe this is a greater indication of
- 10:17Speaker 3: a problem that you don't know about.
- 10:18Speaker 4: It turns out you can walk into an urgent care
- 10:20Speaker 4: and be like I walk weird.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Help Yeah, I'll.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Say no, yeah, or they'll say yeah, there's you have
- 10:25Speaker 2: a growth on your leg.
- 10:26Speaker 6: I know, I'm kind of grateful you guys did that
- 10:29Speaker 6: because I'm look, I'm one of the newer people.
- 10:31Speaker 1: To rock Star.
- 10:32Speaker 6: This is my first rock Star game that I've worked on.
- 10:35Speaker 4: And crazy here, you say, because it feels like you've
- 10:36Speaker 4: been here proper.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Literally, it feels like you're just I mean, we have
- 10:39Speaker 1: smelling timber.
- 10:40Speaker 6: You know that means a lot. Well, you know, in
- 10:43Speaker 6: the games I worked on before, they were just you know,
- 10:45Speaker 6: in more of like an ethereal sort of fantasy world,
- 10:49Speaker 6: so it was like maybe the characters would walk like that.
- 10:51Speaker 6: So it wasn't until it came on a more realistic
- 10:54Speaker 6: right yeah, no.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, those weird walking things.
- 10:56Speaker 6: Yeah, the way all Captain Olimar, it's actually my walk.
- 10:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's literally you. I just also want to say,
- 11:02Speaker 4: like I feel like you are the one in these
- 11:04Speaker 4: rooms that stands up for wind a lot.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 11:06Speaker 4: You go like there's wind in this scene. We should
- 11:09Speaker 4: feel that in the trees and in the hair.
- 11:11Speaker 6: Yeah, even if it's disruptive to like, you know, the
- 11:14Speaker 6: director and the cut scene, I just I still feel
- 11:16Speaker 6: like it's important to say, even if the notes not taking,
- 11:18Speaker 6: I mean I.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Credit that, and you can tell me I credit that
- 11:20Speaker 2: to you growing up on a boat. I also credit
- 11:22Speaker 2: your walk to grow. Yeah.
- 11:25Speaker 6: Yeah, it's kind of all it's all making sense at
- 11:28Speaker 6: this point.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all the boat stuff. Yeah, it makes sense
- 11:31Speaker 1: because you do have a rock and it's almost like
- 11:33Speaker 1: you're not using your knees because you need a balance.
- 11:35Speaker 6: Yeah, you're such a boat.
- 11:36Speaker 1: You're either not using or using your knees too much. Yeah.
- 11:39Speaker 6: I might have to demonstrate that at some point on.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll have to show one.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Literally, he'll show you on.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Okay, here we go. Now, this is me putting on
- 11:48Speaker 6: a walk.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Okay, this is sort of just me.
- 11:50Speaker 6: This is like me putting it on.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Yeah, this is perfect because all they can really see
- 11:53Speaker 1: are your legs and then and this is me.
- 11:55Speaker 6: This is this is me.
- 11:56Speaker 1: This is is a timber regular walk. Yeah, that's the
- 12:01Speaker 1: timber walker's.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Go ahead. Oh hey everybody, Hi guys, my name is
- 12:11Speaker 2: Pete Powers and peepeep yep, peep, peep, pee peep. Uh,
- 12:15Speaker 2: that's me and uh. I am in charge of uh
- 12:19Speaker 2: background and additional actor dialogue and voices. I'm in charge
- 12:24Speaker 2: of every time you bump into someone, every time you
- 12:26Speaker 2: rob someone, every time you knock someone down, every time
- 12:28Speaker 2: a cop tries to stop you. I come up with
- 12:30Speaker 2: that dialogue, and I coach the actors. So I my
- 12:32Speaker 2: first shop was on Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and
- 12:36Speaker 2: my first big one was uh the old woman saying
- 12:39Speaker 2: you made chicken ship. That was me.
- 12:42Speaker 1: You came up with it.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I came up with you Little Chicken Watch Chicken Ship,
- 12:46Speaker 2: and uh, I was really proud of that. That one
- 12:49Speaker 2: came kind of like a like a like a gust
- 12:52Speaker 2: of wind.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Can you talk about that because I feel like people
- 12:56Speaker 4: talk about that all the time and no one really
- 12:58Speaker 4: knows like the artistic process behind right.
- 13:00Speaker 2: So I was with my therapist. We were doing a
- 13:01Speaker 2: hypno session and it was deep, deep, deep. I was
- 13:05Speaker 2: trying to figure out why every time I'm on a date,
- 13:07Speaker 2: if my date suggests that we split the bill, I
- 13:11Speaker 2: lose it.
- 13:14Speaker 6: And thank god you were exploring, and that's because your
- 13:17Speaker 6: expectation before your date suggests you split the bill was
- 13:20Speaker 6: uh wait said that again? Your expectation was that they
- 13:24Speaker 6: were going to pay for it.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Oh?
- 13:25Speaker 2: Yes, yes, because because I'm mad that that that I
- 13:27Speaker 2: that I have to pay for anything exactly.
- 13:30Speaker 4: You know, you're and you hate math exactly, and.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I just don't understand it and it freaks me out. So I said, doc,
- 13:36Speaker 2: put me under let's figure it out. And I realized
- 13:39Speaker 2: there was an experience that I had when I was
- 13:42Speaker 2: at Disneyland in the Country Bear Jamboree show when I
- 13:45Speaker 2: was seven years old, and I bumped into this old
- 13:48Speaker 2: woman who said, watch it, little chicken shit, and she
- 13:51Speaker 2: fined my parents. She said, he knocked a cane out
- 13:56Speaker 2: of my hand and I'm gonna sue you for forty
- 13:59Speaker 2: five thousand dollars. Who And I completely block that out.
- 14:02Speaker 4: And there it is numbers.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's numbers. It's freaked me out.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Numbers are such a trigger.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, And we got in a lot of trouble
- 14:08Speaker 2: for that, and and I had to do a lot
- 14:09Speaker 2: of work for that.
- 14:10Speaker 1: That's why you do dialogue exactly.
- 14:11Speaker 2: That's why every single little line, these reactions that you're hearing,
- 14:15Speaker 2: these people having these moments, those are real, those are inspired,
- 14:18Speaker 2: and those are important for me and people get to
- 14:21Speaker 2: know them, you know. And they're important because we have
- 14:23Speaker 2: to fill them out. We have to make sure that
- 14:25Speaker 2: there's not one that is set by too many. And
- 14:27Speaker 2: I'm proud to say in GTA six, this is in
- 14:29Speaker 2: the realm of knowing. There are four thousand, seven hundred
- 14:33Speaker 2: and thirty eight different stranger interactions you could experience the game.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I mean, there's such a spotlight on what you do now,
- 14:41Speaker 3: specifically because people on talk TikTok are talking you know, NPC.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I think my brother is an NPC, using it as
- 14:48Speaker 3: sort of a dig to talk about like a normal
- 14:50Speaker 3: person that they interact with, and so naturally.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Honestly, when you think about it, what a mean thing
- 14:55Speaker 1: to say, you think your brother is an NPC.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it's actually deeply cruel to assume that the people
- 15:01Speaker 3: around you who fill out your life don't have an
- 15:03Speaker 3: inner life as well as real as.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And I take it as a compliment because I create
- 15:07Speaker 2: the NPCs exactly, and so I think, oh, if you say, oh,
- 15:10Speaker 2: this person's an NPC, to me, it says they have
- 15:12Speaker 2: an interesting back Quassian blood. Yeah, and they're deeply related
- 15:15Speaker 2: to my psyche and I might love them. So I
- 15:17Speaker 2: end up in a room of boring people. I end
- 15:20Speaker 2: up just being in heaven. I love NPCs. I love
- 15:24Speaker 2: meeting people that only seem to say one thing because
- 15:26Speaker 2: it reminds me of home, reminds me of work.
- 15:27Speaker 6: You're NPCs too. Some of them have more of a
- 15:30Speaker 6: heartbeat than real people I know.
- 15:36Speaker 3: And there have been times when when I play the game,
- 15:38Speaker 3: and sometimes it sort of messes with my perception of
- 15:42Speaker 3: reality because I go because the NPC will ask me
- 15:45Speaker 3: how my day was, and I'll tell them, and then
- 15:47Speaker 3: I'll go, wait, no, this is not a friend, this
- 15:49Speaker 3: is a character.
- 15:50Speaker 6: Yeah, and we've gonna seen you get a little carried
- 15:52Speaker 6: away sometimes play testing like going down the road.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Well, yeah, it's you know, it's it's it's tough to
- 15:58Speaker 3: not fall in love with some.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Of your creator.
- 16:01Speaker 2: And can I just say, I mean, it is really
- 16:03Speaker 2: connected to me. This is in the realm of knowing.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I think I can spoil this a little bit. If
- 16:08Speaker 2: you go to the convenience store right by the beach
- 16:14Speaker 2: and you go in, there's an old man that looks
- 16:15Speaker 2: suspiciously like my father, And if you bump into him
- 16:18Speaker 2: or make a mistake, he'll look at you and you'll say, Pete,
- 16:21Speaker 2: it's not your fault.
- 16:23Speaker 1: No, so keep an eye on.
- 16:24Speaker 2: It's an Easter egg and that is fun to make
- 16:26Speaker 2: a lot.
- 16:26Speaker 6: Of people on who've also been playtesting have been like, Okay, Pete,
- 16:30Speaker 6: I think you're kind of putting a lot of your
- 16:32Speaker 6: sort of therapeutic healing into the game. But that's not
- 16:35Speaker 6: necessarily true, right, No, it isn't show me.
- 16:37Speaker 4: A filmmaker who doesn't do that literally.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and and it isn't true, but it has healed
- 16:43Speaker 2: me in many ways.
- 16:44Speaker 3: And Jessica, the girl who works the bank, who you
- 16:48Speaker 3: know you had a brief relationship with. Some of us
- 16:51Speaker 3: thought that that looked like her, but but that's just.
- 16:55Speaker 1: And you made her so mean in the game.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Yeah, And she does say, Pete, I shouldn't have strung
- 16:59Speaker 2: you along the way that I did.
- 17:01Speaker 1: No characters named Pete, by the way, no, none of
- 17:03Speaker 1: the lead characters named Pete. But she does say Pete,
- 17:06Speaker 1: I shouldn't have strung it.
- 17:09Speaker 2: So it was people were trying to say, that's a bug,
- 17:11Speaker 2: that's a bug, that was Miami slang Pete.
- 17:13Speaker 5: They're always saying, Pete, you.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Do have such a good way, though, I just want
- 17:17Speaker 4: to see such a good You have such a good
- 17:22Speaker 4: a good way at writing and coaching people as as
- 17:26Speaker 4: a girl, I'm a girl, right and you write girls
- 17:30Speaker 4: being pushed or you don't write, you perform and coach
- 17:33Speaker 4: girls being pushed over and like kind of ran over
- 17:36Speaker 4: by cars.
- 17:36Speaker 2: So well, elean right to every woman, whether or not
- 17:39Speaker 2: she's getting pushed it.
- 17:42Speaker 4: And I think it's so and I, as a woman,
- 17:45Speaker 4: can I say this?
- 17:45Speaker 5: And also I'm a girl.
- 17:47Speaker 4: I'm a girl, and we should give space for that.
- 17:49Speaker 3: I feel when the women's bodies roll into the street,
- 17:53Speaker 3: I feel respected and I feel seen. I don't feel
- 17:58Speaker 3: like you're trying to make these body's sexy, they're they're
- 18:02Speaker 3: just us.
- 18:03Speaker 4: I feel like that's me rolling around, or that's my grandma,
- 18:06Speaker 4: or that's my future ant.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Yes, well, and that's why there's certain women that if
- 18:09Speaker 2: you knock them, you throw them into the ocean, you're
- 18:11Speaker 2: gonna hear them sing. You're gonna hear me.
- 18:17Speaker 6: I mean, it's really a huge step forward because for
- 18:20Speaker 6: so many years and it still kind of happens in
- 18:22Speaker 6: the games industry, there's not a lot of consideration for women.
- 18:26Speaker 2: No, I can't say it respect to you for just
- 18:31Speaker 2: make sure this fist is on camera.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Though, yeah, right here, we got that in there, Okay.
- 18:35Speaker 4: I just like, yeah, it's just good to hear a
- 18:37Speaker 4: woman cry and it not sounds sexy.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, okay, and sometimes it does and that's the
- 18:42Speaker 1: beauty of the dynamic of it.
- 18:44Speaker 2: And that's women, right you guys like you guys are
- 18:48Speaker 2: lauding me. I'm feeling bashful. We have to move on.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Okay, fine, fine, do you want to go first? Or
- 18:53Speaker 1: should we go first? Should we go? We go let's
- 18:57Speaker 1: go first. Okay, we'll go first.
- 18:59Speaker 3: High.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm Donnie and I'm Drinco and we are kind of
- 19:03Speaker 1: the fucked up ones on g t A six. We
- 19:05Speaker 1: kind of come up with all the fucked up things.
- 19:07Speaker 4: We gotta get it from somewhere.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, So where Donnie and Drigo, the fucked up
- 19:11Speaker 1: the twins.
- 19:12Speaker 3: We're sort of the dark and twisted mind behind the
- 19:15Speaker 3: sinister underbelly, the heartbeat, if you will, the wrapping at
- 19:20Speaker 3: my chamber door, the raven of G six.
- 19:24Speaker 2: You know, a lot of people don't know this, and
- 19:26Speaker 2: this is a huge spoiler. Grandam Battle six is heavily
- 19:30Speaker 2: Edgar Allan Poe inspired.
- 19:33Speaker 1: So yeah, that's what we were playing this. We all
- 19:37Speaker 1: the other games and we kind of went with kind
- 19:39Speaker 1: of like a more intense kind of.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Cocaine Majors English majors.
- 19:45Speaker 1: And this time we were just like, Miami is Edgar
- 19:48Speaker 1: Allan Poe. There's not a state in the US or
- 19:51Speaker 1: the city in the US that's not more Edgar Allan Poe.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Boston and people would but they're wrong.
- 19:57Speaker 4: They're wrong.
- 19:58Speaker 3: They're wrong though, because I bended b and I didn't
- 20:01Speaker 3: feel that I was just beers at a Red Sox game.
- 20:03Speaker 1: I was like, Irish, okay, Okay, I get it. Miami,
- 20:07Speaker 1: there's Ravens rave.
- 20:09Speaker 3: It's everywhere you look. There's Ravens in Miami for those
- 20:13Speaker 3: with eyes to see them.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And one of our favorite memes that we have co opted.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Then we've got yeah and we you know, we so
- 20:22Speaker 3: we got sent to Miami to sort of scope it out.
- 20:26Speaker 3: We are you know, we're I guess our formal title
- 20:29Speaker 3: would be sort of creative.
- 20:31Speaker 6: Consultants or what is it for you?
- 20:34Speaker 1: Well, all we've ever been called is the fucked up
- 20:38Speaker 1: twins that kind of do the ship.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Have you ever seen you guys on a laptop or
- 20:42Speaker 4: anything like these? Always just like on that exercise ball
- 20:46Speaker 4: in the office.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Yeah, we both have an exercise ball. We just bounce.
- 20:50Speaker 2: I we you know, some people say in other creative
- 20:53Speaker 2: capacities there's punch up guys, and in gt A six
- 20:56Speaker 2: we call you guys the punch punch guys.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Make things more fight you guys, make things more aggressive,
- 21:01Speaker 2: more nasty, more section.
- 21:02Speaker 4: The four branches of GTA. Here we have movement, speech, traffic,
- 21:07Speaker 4: and sin.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and you know sin. The four horsemen of
- 21:11Speaker 1: the GTA world.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Exactly the game guys, and you know we we this
- 21:15Speaker 3: isn't our first fucked up Twins job. We were the
- 21:20Speaker 3: sort of sinister minds behind the Kardashian mobile game as well.
- 21:25Speaker 1: You were very dark game, very sinister game. We loved
- 21:29Speaker 1: that game. It was such a privilegion and it kind
- 21:30Speaker 1: of launched our careers. Even though we've worked on all
- 21:32Speaker 1: the Grand Theft autos, that one really set us up
- 21:34Speaker 1: in terms of like icon legendary status and you know
- 21:37Speaker 1: how we come up with this stuff? People always wonder
- 21:39Speaker 1: it's kind of like a mad libs of bad words.
- 21:43Speaker 1: So we'll say crack addicts, gun.
- 21:45Speaker 5: Yeah we go, So what can you not say on TV?
- 21:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 21:50Speaker 4: What can you not say?
- 21:51Speaker 1: Can you not do?
- 21:52Speaker 2: What can you not do?
- 21:53Speaker 4: Exactly?
- 21:54Speaker 5: What is?
- 21:55Speaker 3: What would a psychopath do? What would we always ask this?
- 21:58Speaker 3: What would Dexter do?
- 21:59Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 21:59Speaker 1: We go.
- 22:00Speaker 2: We love famous Miami character.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Miami and very very.
- 22:06Speaker 4: I'd say very pope very more than I was before
- 22:11Speaker 4: Miami and Ed g Allan Poe.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Dexter did it already, so we're kind of just learning
- 22:17Speaker 1: from Dexter. So it is kind of like, how do
- 22:20Speaker 1: we fill the streets with more innocent people that you
- 22:22Speaker 1: can hit with their car. How do we make the
- 22:24Speaker 1: levels a little more dark? Girl? You have to beat
- 22:26Speaker 1: up this child, you know, Like how can.
- 22:28Speaker 3: We see the drugs from the heroine in the needle
- 22:32Speaker 3: into one's bloodstreaming?
- 22:33Speaker 4: How can we see that? And how can we feel that?
- 22:36Speaker 1: And how as you as a player, how can you
- 22:41Speaker 1: get somebody addicted to drugs on purpose so they'll pay
- 22:44Speaker 1: you more money? Like it's just these type of experience
- 22:46Speaker 1: that we find so funny.
- 22:47Speaker 6: You know, our game at certain points can have like rounded,
- 22:52Speaker 6: like soft perimeter. You're giving the edge to that.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Like, hey, this isn't Mario Galaxy too, this isn't Mario Tennis,
- 23:01Speaker 1: and this isn't Mario.
- 23:04Speaker 3: On Somebody's got to be the one to pitch the
- 23:07Speaker 3: upsetting thing.
- 23:08Speaker 1: You know.
- 23:08Speaker 4: GTA is about making people uncomfortable, and so I.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Wish it was Mario Galaxy. I wish it was Mario Tennis.
- 23:16Speaker 4: But my guy, you don't have a job there, you
- 23:17Speaker 4: know what I mean.
- 23:18Speaker 1: You have They're never gonna let us do Mario.
- 23:20Speaker 4: We pitched, never gonna hire you over there. They're never
- 23:25Speaker 4: going to think someday they won't.
- 23:29Speaker 1: They won't.
- 23:29Speaker 2: This is not on ov resume. This isn't gonna work
- 23:32Speaker 2: for you. What I will say is, and this is
- 23:35Speaker 2: in the realm of knowing. I think I already saw
- 23:36Speaker 2: this leaked Rockstar, the higher ups leaked this. You guys
- 23:40Speaker 2: are responsible for one of my favorite side quests in
- 23:44Speaker 2: G six.
- 23:45Speaker 4: We're gonna say it now.
- 23:46Speaker 2: It's when our main characters stumble across Lord Roderick Kensington. Uh.
- 23:52Speaker 2: He lives in an old Victorian house right by the beach. Uh,
- 23:56Speaker 2: and you help him get revenge on Ah, a colleague
- 24:02Speaker 2: of his who has a cough that's been driving him crazy.
- 24:06Speaker 1: My favorite levels all time. Guess what scra of beatles everywhere?
- 24:11Speaker 1: And that it's.
- 24:14Speaker 4: You're gonna see ship that you would never expect from
- 24:16Speaker 4: g T A and GT A six because I mean
- 24:18Speaker 4: even the crows in those scenes, the crows that are
- 24:20Speaker 4: flying around. Those crows have boobs.
- 24:22Speaker 6: Yeah, and guess who was working on that animation.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Yeah, let's talk about where we pass off.
- 24:29Speaker 3: We go, we give the heartbeat, and then you guys
- 24:32Speaker 3: give the show.
- 24:34Speaker 1: I just want to talk about how you came and developed,
- 24:36Speaker 1: because watching you try to develop crow with boobs was
- 24:39Speaker 1: one of the most amazing things crow that sells cocaine.
- 24:45Speaker 4: Crow with ass was the first draft. Of course, that
- 24:48Speaker 4: was just like show me a bird with the butt,
- 24:51Speaker 4: you know what I mean? But then I please.
- 24:52Speaker 6: Speak Well, I mean it was a process really because
- 24:56Speaker 6: first it starts by just you know, you know, researching crows,
- 24:59Speaker 6: looking at a lot of images of crows, going to
- 25:01Speaker 6: zoos with crows, and there are a lot of zoos
- 25:03Speaker 6: with crows.
- 25:04Speaker 1: And then one of the biggest there.
- 25:08Speaker 4: Are statistically, there's crows.
- 25:11Speaker 2: I always say, if there's too many crows at a zoo,
- 25:13Speaker 2: the zoo's done a bad job. But you like it, yeah,
- 25:16Speaker 2: oh love it.
- 25:17Speaker 6: And while crows don't have breast per se, they do
- 25:20Speaker 6: have a rounded chest area like many birds top at
- 25:23Speaker 6: for a tough thank you. Uh, that really means a
- 25:25Speaker 6: lot that you would say that.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Uh, it wasn't a compliment.
- 25:29Speaker 6: I mean, I I just appreciate, I feel you, and
- 25:31Speaker 6: I appreciate that some much.
- 25:32Speaker 4: You helped him with the sentence, and that's awesome.
- 25:34Speaker 6: Yeah, it means a lot. Yeah, I'll take any little
- 25:36Speaker 6: thing and take it as a compliment. You know, I
- 25:38Speaker 6: could have just put you know, a like sexy brazier
- 25:41Speaker 6: on that tuft, but I mean, that's not really going
- 25:44Speaker 6: to sell it, right, So then I started just looking
- 25:46Speaker 6: at image after image after image after image of boobs
- 25:49Speaker 6: and sort of that's how we crafted it. So now
- 25:52Speaker 6: you see the crows with boobs, and.
- 25:53Speaker 4: We'll say it in the office. What happens is so
- 25:55Speaker 4: that idea comes from over here, right, it comes from
- 25:57Speaker 4: sin right, and then they bring it over to Tim
- 26:00Speaker 4: and then I'll be next to Timber and I'll go,
- 26:02Speaker 4: do you want to put that crow with boobs on
- 26:03Speaker 4: a stop sign? There's one down the street, and then
- 26:07Speaker 4: out of my office.
- 26:08Speaker 2: And then well, then and here's here's what you're done.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Here's where I would and then and thanks for doing that.
- 26:17Speaker 2: What I will say is this didn't get to me,
- 26:20Speaker 2: and that caused an issue because maybe going forward, we
- 26:23Speaker 2: can write this down and I'm going to talk. We
- 26:24Speaker 2: haven't had our GT six post mortem.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Yet, slack problems that we have.
- 26:30Speaker 4: We're going to do it in Puerto Rico.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Yes, I'm really excited about the post M and p R.
- 26:36Speaker 2: That's what they're doing.
- 26:37Speaker 4: You really drunk at the post mortem.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I would prefer you wait because I have some notes
- 26:41Speaker 2: for you too. No, we're so depressed when we party.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Let me just that's a good point. What I will
- 26:48Speaker 2: say is, uh, this was difficult because uh crow with
- 26:52Speaker 2: ascot to me, but when you change it to boobs,
- 26:54Speaker 2: that didn't get to me. So if you this is
- 26:56Speaker 2: a little easter like a spoiler. If you talk to
- 26:59Speaker 2: any of the crows, they say, honey, get away from
- 27:02Speaker 2: my big ass. But it has big boobs.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Yeah, but in order to talk to the crow, you
- 27:06Speaker 1: have to do a level where you beat the crap
- 27:08Speaker 1: out of an old lady in order to get the
- 27:11Speaker 1: ability to talk to animals. It's one of the hardest
- 27:13Speaker 1: side games. It's a little and I do just want
- 27:16Speaker 1: to solidify it makes me look kind of like.
- 27:19Speaker 2: A jackass that we have a crow with big boobs
- 27:21Speaker 2: talking about it has a big ass.
- 27:22Speaker 6: Yeah. I just want to mention that I totally get that.
- 27:25Speaker 5: Well, I think we.
- 27:26Speaker 3: We I and personally I see what the NPCs mean,
- 27:30Speaker 3: you know. I see that when they say ass, they
- 27:33Speaker 3: like spiritually mean boob because there are you.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Know, and we talk about this in the office all
- 27:37Speaker 4: the time.
- 27:37Speaker 3: There are boobmen and assmen, and so we actually found
- 27:41Speaker 3: a really way to service both.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Boommen, assmen and girls is the three things that.
- 27:46Speaker 5: We have, the three things that we have.
- 27:47Speaker 2: But again, I love that you can spiritually see that
- 27:50Speaker 2: we could have logistically and physically seen.
- 27:52Speaker 1: It no better spiritually.
- 27:54Speaker 2: It's a three minute session, right, we can get a
- 27:56Speaker 2: lot of designers throw a voice in, you know, it
- 27:58Speaker 2: would have been a free be.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Honest, we don't know if boob if crows call boobs
- 28:03Speaker 1: ass like that is how I've been playing.
- 28:05Speaker 2: I love, I love, I love the backflips you're doing.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Instead of trading a universe in which boobs and ass
- 28:13Speaker 2: are opposite for crows, we could have changed it so
- 28:16Speaker 2: it works for everybody in the real world, and that's
- 28:17Speaker 2: the ultimate bebe Yeah for me.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Okay, but it's okay.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Should we disclose the plot.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Of Okay, let's jump into it.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Just now listening.
- 28:28Speaker 5: This is the plot of g T A six.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Here it is jump to this part in the video.
- 28:33Speaker 2: So all the trailers, everything we've released, those have all
- 28:36Speaker 2: been decoys, fake lies. We had a whole decoy team
- 28:41Speaker 2: for years and years making fake trailers.
- 28:43Speaker 3: The only thing that's true is Miami and the sort
- 28:45Speaker 3: of unsettling feeling you get when you watch it.

- 30:41Speaker 1: Oh.
- 30:42Speaker 6: I love that voiceover narration that kind of starts it at.
- 30:44Speaker 1: It's pretty good, and Danny trey Hoe is doing Danny
- 30:47Speaker 1: trey Hope. Yeah, a classic La person exactly. I've decided
- 30:52Speaker 1: to jump in for our Miami specific game, and then
- 30:54Speaker 1: we jump into three pit Bull songs back to back.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Yeah. You have to listen to three Pitbull songs back back,
- 31:00Speaker 4: and then.
- 31:00Speaker 1: You have to says, rock Star presents a fucked up story.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Well, we start, So it starts with the kernel of
- 31:07Speaker 3: our idea, which you know, our workflow is we present you,
- 31:11Speaker 3: we bring you a sin, and the one that we
- 31:14Speaker 3: were sort of circling around in our in our sessions,
- 31:17Speaker 3: in our in our brainstorming, in our in our examining
- 31:20Speaker 3: of the sin, we centered around greed. Right, So your
- 31:25Speaker 3: job as the protagonist is to obtain extra money from
- 31:31Speaker 3: a gangster who.
- 31:33Speaker 2: You know, and story a drug dealer gone wrong, steals
- 31:39Speaker 2: the cargo and now he has to become not only
- 31:42Speaker 2: a drug dealer but the kingpin operation in the cellar.
- 31:46Speaker 2: And he has a wife and she is annoying.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Yes, wife is a girl, and she is annoying.
- 31:55Speaker 3: She is always knocking on the door incessantly, knock, knock,
- 31:59Speaker 3: knock on the Yeah.
- 32:01Speaker 6: Strangely, the one character you all said we should use
- 32:04Speaker 6: my walk for.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Yes, immediately I remember it's like, no, go back to
- 32:08Speaker 4: your original instinct.
- 32:10Speaker 6: Turn weird, it just fit.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Yeah. So basically that's the first act. You think the
- 32:16Speaker 1: story is going to be all about how you're a
- 32:18Speaker 1: drug dealer having to get rid of this product by
- 32:21Speaker 1: any means possible so that you lose the tempo of
- 32:25Speaker 1: people aren't hunting you down. But you can also raise
- 32:28Speaker 1: the limit on your ability to become the Kingping of Miami.
- 32:33Speaker 1: But Act two breaks into it. Your character decides to
- 32:37Speaker 1: buy a club and they fall in love with salsa.
- 32:41Speaker 1: They absolutely fall in love with all the different dancing styles,
- 32:45Speaker 1: and they decide for three thirty hours of gameplay, you
- 32:48Speaker 1: can just dance in a club and have a blast
- 32:51Speaker 1: teaching people, learning from the best, picking up people, getting drinks.
- 32:55Speaker 1: It is some of the best gameplay we've ever had.
- 32:57Speaker 4: And the quest, yeah ahead, it's upside quest. We were
- 33:01Speaker 4: talking about it, Well we got to do it. The
- 33:02Speaker 4: bar back who's secretly a princess.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Yes, princess, so she is a Guatemalan princess who had
- 33:08Speaker 1: to run away because, as we all know, Guatemalans hate monarchies,
- 33:14Speaker 1: so she has.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Believe we don't even need to say it.
- 33:18Speaker 5: It's almost like we didn't even need.
- 33:19Speaker 2: To say it.
- 33:20Speaker 1: I know, the stereotypes hate hate monarchies.
- 33:24Speaker 4: It's almost like we shouldn't have said it.
- 33:25Speaker 1: We shouldn't have said it and I atologize.
- 33:30Speaker 2: No, it's just so, it's just such as it's just
- 33:32Speaker 2: like the sky is blue and Guatemalan's monarchies.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Yep. So you have to convince her to go back
- 33:37Speaker 1: and become the princess she's always been by teaching her
- 33:40Speaker 1: the art of dance and the art of clubbing.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Yes, and I will say this was almost directly inspired
- 33:44Speaker 2: by the time that our dramaturg and our dev team
- 33:48Speaker 2: brought in The Bird Cage, and we just fall in love.
- 33:50Speaker 1: With the movies. They are so charismatic, they believe us.
- 33:55Speaker 2: None of us four hundred video game developers, none of
- 33:58Speaker 2: us had ever watched The Bird Cage.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Well, Nathan Lane take down the House.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Big overside, how do we make five of these before
- 34:04Speaker 3: we watch The.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Birdcare Yeah, truly, I can't believe we even got through them.
- 34:08Speaker 2: It's by the grace of God we made g T
- 34:10Speaker 2: A five's because yeah, uh GT six is almost the
- 34:15Speaker 2: underlying heartbeat is the Bird Case.
- 34:16Speaker 6: Yes, we were so obsessed with this cinematic masterpiece that actually,
- 34:21Speaker 6: and I mean we're in the realm of knowing spoiler
- 34:25Speaker 6: but tangential to the club that you are running as
- 34:29Speaker 6: this kingpin there's a bird cage club next.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Door called the bird Cage.
- 34:33Speaker 1: It's called the Bird Cage. Nathan Lane and Rob Williams.
- 34:36Speaker 4: Live above us.
- 34:38Speaker 6: Yeah, it was tough.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Gene Hackman, Calista Flockhart, Hankasaria, all of them are characters
- 34:44Speaker 2: in GTA six.
- 34:45Speaker 4: And you could run them over with your car.
- 34:47Speaker 3: And you do have a side quest where you can
- 34:50Speaker 3: jump in play as Hanks Area and then you record
- 34:53Speaker 3: thirty eight seasons of The Simpsons.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Yes, Hank character in bird Cage. You're actually playing as
- 35:00Speaker 1: Hank is Area.
- 35:01Speaker 4: You get to talk about with him and you can
- 35:03Speaker 4: just spend time in the boot.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I guess I'm alive.
- 35:06Speaker 6: Yeah, And the only way you can actually finish that
- 35:08Speaker 6: side quest is by doing all the voices that he
- 35:11Speaker 6: says he shouldn't have done it.
- 35:12Speaker 1: So we have the microphone. We have the microphone, and
- 35:14Speaker 1: you have to do all the voices he had to
- 35:16Speaker 1: stop doing.
- 35:16Speaker 3: You've got to do a poo and then you have
- 35:18Speaker 3: to watch Harry Connobolo's special on it and have a
- 35:21Speaker 3: change of heart.
- 35:23Speaker 4: But I think because we're talking about the bird, the
- 35:25Speaker 4: bird cage and the club, I think we should say
- 35:28Speaker 4: the biggest, the biggest thing that hasn't been leaked, is
- 35:31Speaker 4: that there are gay people.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Can you even believe?
- 35:34Speaker 4: Can you believe it?
- 35:35Speaker 2: As of right now, there.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Are yeah, currents fucked up ideas is adding gay people
- 35:43Speaker 1: to it was fucked up.
- 35:44Speaker 4: I just think it's huge for depending.
- 35:46Speaker 2: On how what we just said was received, there are
- 35:49Speaker 2: currently gay people.
- 35:50Speaker 6: In g t A six, And we will have the
- 35:53Speaker 6: option to edit this later change with.
- 35:56Speaker 4: The ultimateity that we are currently living in.
- 35:58Speaker 2: If you're watching this now and it's months after we
- 36:01Speaker 2: posted this and there's still us saying there's gay people
- 36:04Speaker 2: in GTA six, there are.
- 36:06Speaker 6: Gay people in g six And if that's the case,
- 36:10Speaker 6: If that's the case, then I just want you to
- 36:12Speaker 6: know that that gave me a whole new layer to
- 36:14Speaker 6: my job. Yeah, it was. It was kind of honestly
- 36:19Speaker 6: opened my eyes a bit. Again, if this stays in,
- 36:22Speaker 6: it opened my eyes a bit to just how different
- 36:25Speaker 6: other people are in the world.
- 36:27Speaker 3: For the first time, it really had such a come
- 36:30Speaker 3: to light moment realizing what that that there were gay
- 36:35Speaker 3: people even dare I say all around you?
- 36:38Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 36:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I just was asking myself over and over me bad,
- 36:41Speaker 6: me bad?
- 36:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:42Speaker 1: It was to hear you say it like that.
- 36:44Speaker 2: I thank you for taking so many notes on the
- 36:46Speaker 2: way you made gay people walk because you at first
- 36:49Speaker 2: it was wrong, it was very wrong.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I love that. And in the end you just went
- 36:54Speaker 1: over a regular walk.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Yeah, well it was a crawl. They were using hands
- 36:59Speaker 2: on the ground.
- 37:00Speaker 6: Yeah. Again. You know, we're all learning a lot.
- 37:03Speaker 4: Here, all learning a lot. There's just a lot of
- 37:07Speaker 4: a lot of groundbreaking things. And GTA is six gay people.
- 37:10Speaker 4: If we don't cut that or our first celebrity cameo.
- 37:15Speaker 1: One of our first ever celebrity cameos. But he's playing themselves.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Somebody is playing themselves.
- 37:21Speaker 4: Yeah, And I think it was just like I think
- 37:23Speaker 4: we have been in the world. We're in the world
- 37:26Speaker 4: of games, right and we're watching we're watching Fortnite like
- 37:29Speaker 4: and Billy.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Fucking Eilish, Billie Eilish.
- 37:33Speaker 4: Yeah, we can't ignore that and just make nameless women.
- 37:36Speaker 2: So cameo Billy.
- 37:41Speaker 1: She is one of the clubs looking very sad in
- 37:45Speaker 1: the corner. You can go up and talk to her
- 37:47Speaker 1: and she'll sing you a song.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Guess she's playing the bad guy. We signed her when
- 37:53Speaker 2: that song came out, and we said, well, she's gonna
- 37:55Speaker 2: be one hit wonder, but it's gonna be fun. And
- 37:57Speaker 2: then she's evolved and changed, So we have the early
- 38:00Speaker 2: version of Billy that was locked.
- 38:02Speaker 6: Kind of you work on a game for twelve years,
- 38:04Speaker 6: stuff like that is just going to happen.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Just what else, I mean, the Harlem Shake is still
- 38:09Speaker 3: present in a lot of scenes, and yeah, that's something
- 38:13Speaker 3: that we sort of chose to keep because you know,
- 38:16Speaker 3: it is a little twisted.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Sadly, Yeah, sadly, Hillary Clinton won in our world because
- 38:21Speaker 1: we were sure that was going to happen. So Hillary
- 38:24Speaker 1: Clinton was president and is president, and it kind of
- 38:26Speaker 1: affects the plot.
- 38:27Speaker 2: There's something so fascinating actually about our world because now
- 38:31Speaker 2: we're eight years into Hillary winning and we tracked that
- 38:35Speaker 2: and so there's a really crazy alternate reality happening in
- 38:38Speaker 2: GT six you're gonna enjoy. Yeah, I mean, she's the
- 38:41Speaker 2: money and the money.
- 38:43Speaker 1: She's on the that was her first thing. She wanted
- 38:45Speaker 1: to get on the money.
- 38:46Speaker 5: Yeah, she's on all the money.
- 38:47Speaker 4: If you just want to see what it would be
- 38:49Speaker 4: like if she won, get the game, Get the game.
- 38:54Speaker 4: Just get the damn game.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Get the damn game. Get the damn day, damn game.
- 38:58Speaker 3: If you want to get out of this this.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Why don't you know? Go ahead? Well, I was just
- 39:03Speaker 1: gonna do because so much of the game is missions.
- 39:06Speaker 1: So yeah, the game is not just the plot, it's
- 39:09Speaker 1: the missions that you have to go on. And we
- 39:10Speaker 1: had such a great level developing team. Just shout out
- 39:14Speaker 1: to them.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, they're so good.
- 39:16Speaker 6: Tyler Tyler, Monica, Tyler, C Tyler.
- 39:21Speaker 1: F h.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Estragon Sky, all of them.
- 39:25Speaker 4: Yes, Tyler Tyler.
- 39:27Speaker 2: I want to shout out. You know, in GTA five,
- 39:29Speaker 2: one of the big things was you could fly an airplane,
- 39:31Speaker 2: you could flay a helicopter around the world, and we
- 39:34Speaker 2: went even farther. Yes, you can use a hang glider.
- 39:38Speaker 1: So that's even farther. And you could use a hang
- 39:41Speaker 1: glider in the past games, but this is even more
- 39:43Speaker 1: exciting because we put jets on it.
- 39:46Speaker 6: Yeah, and sometimes I mean and also even just the
- 39:49Speaker 6: standard one that we have, the first one you get,
- 39:51Speaker 6: you know, sometimes d heightening is a heighten Yes, I
- 39:53Speaker 6: don't think a lot of people know that.
- 39:55Speaker 2: No.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Yeah, you went to the UCB theater and you learned that.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you went to us to learn how to walk
- 39:59Speaker 1: by you trap research.
- 40:02Speaker 4: Timber does so much research goes to the zoo.
- 40:04Speaker 1: To find I'm smelling timber.
- 40:06Speaker 6: I go to the zoo, I go to UCB theater,
- 40:09Speaker 6: I google images of women's bodies, all sorts of research.
- 40:12Speaker 4: The ship you're going to see in the game is like.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Good research, good research, But.
- 40:17Speaker 4: There's that D heightening and then especially with the D
- 40:19Speaker 4: heightening of bird scooters.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Yeah, well, what is your favorite levels? Like what is
- 40:24Speaker 1: everybody's favorite level, because, like mine is when you have
- 40:27Speaker 1: to get in the jet ski, crash into the yacht,
- 40:31Speaker 1: take the yacht up the mountain, all the way up
- 40:34Speaker 1: the mountain. On the mountain, punch a child, throw him
- 40:38Speaker 1: off the mountain. Ride Oh sorry, rewrite.
- 40:42Speaker 4: It's a kid.
- 40:43Speaker 1: It's a kid. Her. It's a kid.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Girl, it's a kid.
- 40:46Speaker 1: It's a kid her. Okay, throw her off the mountain.
- 40:48Speaker 3: You right.
- 40:48Speaker 1: You have to ride the yacht down the mountain to
- 40:52Speaker 1: do a double backflip and land all before the cops
- 40:54Speaker 1: shoot you. It's one of my favorite level designs. I
- 40:57Speaker 1: think it's just so makes no sense.
- 40:59Speaker 6: You know, people went really nuts with GTA five online
- 41:02Speaker 6: with all of the crazy stuff you could do. I
- 41:03Speaker 6: feel like it was less story focused and more just
- 41:06Speaker 6: like stunt focused and this is sort of a nod
- 41:08Speaker 6: to that.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly what that is.
- 41:10Speaker 2: And uh, mine one of my favorites is so fun.
- 41:13Speaker 2: One of the Mafia members has a shrink ray and
- 41:16Speaker 2: they shrink you down to a little tiny pea size
- 41:20Speaker 2: and you have to make somebody a Cubano sandwich. And
- 41:23Speaker 2: it's kind of like it's kind of like a little
- 41:25Speaker 2: bit of an homage to Burger Time. Yeah, and so
- 41:28Speaker 2: because everyone's been saying we want to have some sort
- 41:30Speaker 2: of Burger Time.
- 41:31Speaker 3: In our everyone's been saying that. And there's also a
- 41:34Speaker 3: fun size side quest. When you are p sized, you
- 41:37Speaker 3: can go sleep under a mattress and drive a woman
- 41:40Speaker 3: slowly insane.
- 41:42Speaker 2: But that's the poet.
- 41:44Speaker 5: Yeah, you have to you do have to play it
- 41:46Speaker 5: for months and months.
- 41:47Speaker 1: We love that.
- 41:50Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you, my I I do.
- 41:52Speaker 3: My One of my favorite missions though, is when you
- 41:55Speaker 3: drive a car into Disney World, and because you know
- 41:59Speaker 3: it's it's Miami, we have to involve Orlando.
- 42:04Speaker 1: We have to hit Jim.
- 42:09Speaker 3: It's a hop skipping a jump and so we were
- 42:11Speaker 3: we we know that people are are the Miami.
- 42:13Speaker 5: Heads are going to be demanding Orlando.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Yeah, so and I love that actually because right outside
- 42:18Speaker 1: of uh Disney and Disney World, you can actually uh
- 42:22Speaker 1: interact with the movie The Florida Project. Yes, help the
- 42:27Speaker 1: Child Protective Services take that little girl away from her mother.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Yea.
- 42:31Speaker 1: And yeah, yeah, well.
- 42:34Speaker 4: Yeah, we we we were.
- 42:36Speaker 3: We were brainstorming one day, playing ping pong, kicking around
- 42:39Speaker 3: what's the what's some of the worst things that could happen?
- 42:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that movie, The Florida Project, Florida Project, it was
- 42:44Speaker 1: really hard seeing a difficult situation.
- 42:46Speaker 2: We had Sean in for an hour and a half.
- 42:50Speaker 3: And he was so There's an entire section of it
- 42:54Speaker 3: that's shot on an iPhone.
- 42:57Speaker 1: What Baker does is so integrated into.
- 43:00Speaker 6: It's amazing that in our game we've got too literal
- 43:03Speaker 6: movies in it that already exist, and but we could
- 43:06Speaker 6: never agree on a third one.
- 43:07Speaker 5: Yea, will be an homage to any other film in.
- 43:13Speaker 4: The Florida Project.
- 43:14Speaker 6: Yeah, I was gonna say, was there more you're going
- 43:17Speaker 6: to say about the Disney World thing? Or was that
- 43:18Speaker 6: to get us to Florida Project.
- 43:20Speaker 3: Well, you know that you can go straight to Florida Project.
- 43:23Speaker 3: But there is, of course a level where you hang
- 43:26Speaker 3: out at Disney.
- 43:26Speaker 1: We're incredible, very fun. You take photos with Goofy and
- 43:30Speaker 1: you could.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Steal money from Epcot, and your goal is to also
- 43:33Speaker 3: Disney bound, so you have to get as close to
- 43:36Speaker 3: dressing as the character is possible getting noticed by security.
- 43:41Speaker 2: I had a lot of fun with the additional dialogue
- 43:43Speaker 2: in the background dialogue on that one.
- 43:45Speaker 5: We should play a little bit of that.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Hey you're looking a little too much like Captain hook that.
- 43:53Speaker 4: I think listen game aside, I think a lot of
- 43:56Speaker 4: people want to hear about working the working environments. Yeah,
- 44:00Speaker 4: and at Rockstar, because there was I remember like a TikToker.
- 44:04Speaker 4: I think something went viral about our all hands meetings
- 44:06Speaker 4: being on a yacht, and it's true they are.
- 44:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Yeah, rock Star is the sea.
- 44:12Speaker 4: They want us to party and be badasses as much
- 44:15Speaker 4: as we can. And as a girl, I love that
- 44:17Speaker 4: and it's awesome.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Their corporate headquarters are on international waters, so that we
- 44:22Speaker 3: have license to, you know, go crazy.
- 44:24Speaker 6: It's the only time in the world where I'm actually
- 44:26Speaker 6: walking normal.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Timber and his element kind of throws.
- 44:31Speaker 6: Off the whole social dynamic because because like on normal,
- 44:34Speaker 6: you know, grounded land, I am definitely the beta of
- 44:37Speaker 6: the group. But when we're on water.
- 44:41Speaker 5: All of a sudden, like, who's this alpha.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Well, it's funny because you know, some people say, you know,
- 44:46Speaker 2: this is my work wife, this is my work husband, Timber,
- 44:48Speaker 2: you have a boat wife, you have somebody who only
- 44:51Speaker 2: dates you when you're on a boat.
- 44:52Speaker 1: She's hot, and she is hot, but when she gets
- 44:55Speaker 1: on land, all the hotness kind of disappears. Wanting to
- 44:59Speaker 1: do going to realize some sort of.
- 45:02Speaker 6: You know what, but Siren, you know what, kind of
- 45:05Speaker 6: like a story that we might find in our game
- 45:07Speaker 6: is sometimes things are hard to explain.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Let's talk about two chapter three. Sometimes things are hard
- 45:13Speaker 1: to explain.
- 45:14Speaker 2: So it's a full courthouse, right, It's just it's a force,
- 45:18Speaker 2: it's a divorce, a fight over a child.
- 45:20Speaker 6: Sort of a bottle episode.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Yeah, our main character is taken to court, but you
- 45:24Speaker 2: don't know the allegations that are against you, and you
- 45:26Speaker 2: slowly have to figure out what you're being charged with,
- 45:29Speaker 2: how you can get out of it. And we go
- 45:31Speaker 2: through the whole process.
- 45:32Speaker 1: And I'm not gonna say it's Kramer versus Kramer exactly.
- 45:34Speaker 1: We are not reference, but it does feel a lot
- 45:39Speaker 1: like Kramer versus because a lot of the part of
- 45:41Speaker 1: Act one and two is your main character is that
- 45:45Speaker 1: your wife has left randomly in the middle of the
- 45:48Speaker 1: night after having a huge breakoup because you're not around
- 45:50Speaker 1: enough and you have to actually start being a father
- 45:53Speaker 1: and befriending your own child. Until Act three, she's back.
- 45:56Speaker 1: She wants full custody.
- 45:58Speaker 4: It is version in this part of the game. Is
- 46:01Speaker 4: it's the first time in GTA we have documents.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, you have to you have to read.
- 46:07Speaker 1: You have to make sure. You have to go sit
- 46:08Speaker 1: with your lawyer, who can't lie. And that's not liar liar,
- 46:12Speaker 1: it's not liar liar. But your lawyer cannot lie. He
- 46:14Speaker 1: can only tell the truth. So you'll have to figure
- 46:16Speaker 1: out that court case with him only telling the truth.
- 46:18Speaker 2: I want to give a huge shout out to our
- 46:20Speaker 2: consultants in the Documents and Files department, the people at
- 46:23Speaker 2: Taxact dot Com.
- 46:25Speaker 4: Tyler Tyler, Tyler, the girl, and I.
- 46:32Speaker 3: Want to give a shout out to you specifically, because
- 46:35Speaker 3: the hardest thing for.
- 46:36Speaker 4: So many people to animate is hands.
- 46:39Speaker 3: But the way that you animated these hands shuffling through
- 46:42Speaker 3: papers so fast, it was so real. It's like I
- 46:45Speaker 3: was watching it going my hands have done that? Yeah,
- 46:48Speaker 3: my hands have done Did you have to train at
- 46:49Speaker 3: all to do what you do?
- 46:51Speaker 6: It was a lot of you know, filming myself, you
- 46:53Speaker 6: know reference. Thankfully, my hands, unlike my legs, pretty normal
- 46:57Speaker 6: looking when they're shuffling through documents.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Someone went to the ground Links to maybe study some
- 47:02Speaker 1: character work in terms of hands. Is that did that
- 47:04Speaker 1: help it?
- 47:04Speaker 2: All?
- 47:05Speaker 4: Comedies?
- 47:05Speaker 2: You know?
- 47:06Speaker 6: Yeah, well it was well, comedy sports didn't offer that
- 47:08Speaker 6: ground Links.
- 47:09Speaker 5: Groundlings definitely didn't.
- 47:11Speaker 6: Essentially, I like, I sat in on some classes and
- 47:15Speaker 6: they weren't giving me what I needed. So just from
- 47:18Speaker 6: like the back of the class, I would just shout
- 47:20Speaker 6: at them, and the instructor really had a problem with that.
- 47:23Speaker 6: But eventually I got what I wanted because I did
- 47:25Speaker 6: have to file some paperwork saying that I could legally
- 47:28Speaker 6: never go there again.
- 47:29Speaker 2: That's good.
- 47:30Speaker 1: So that that actually helped you, like with.
- 47:32Speaker 4: That documents, that's amazing.
- 47:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's one of my favorite acts. Chapter three is
- 47:37Speaker 1: the lawyer litigation stuff. You it's really interesting to dive
- 47:41Speaker 1: into that part of Miami.
- 47:42Speaker 2: That's awesome. But then you know, when you're not in court,
- 47:44Speaker 2: of course, it hits night time and you got to
- 47:46Speaker 2: go at four thirty or five, and this is post
- 47:48Speaker 2: daily Saving time, so everything's really dark. Yeah.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Remember, and that was a huge debate are we going
- 47:53Speaker 3: to set this in standard time or daylight savings?
- 47:55Speaker 5: And we were going back and forth on it.
- 47:57Speaker 6: A one that affects everyone's process, That affects traffic, that
- 48:00Speaker 6: effects that affects how the lighting looks on things, that jiggle, all.
- 48:04Speaker 2: Sorts of exactly, and it effects are we doing the holidays?
- 48:08Speaker 2: So this show or this video game does go from
- 48:12Speaker 2: early October to December, so you got Halloween, and you
- 48:15Speaker 2: got Thanksgiving, and you have.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Christmas and I and I'm glad that we stuck with
- 48:19Speaker 3: that because the butts that were animated for Daylight Saving
- 48:23Speaker 3: Time just didn't hit for me.
- 48:25Speaker 4: It didn't, but the holiday once. Really, who thought that
- 48:30Speaker 4: during the holidays people cheat and steal more?
- 48:34Speaker 2: It's so interesting.
- 48:34Speaker 4: So it gives us that platform to do.
- 48:36Speaker 2: That and to do something that no one's ever seen.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Holidays at the strip club that was so fun.
- 48:42Speaker 4: Nobody ever asks those women what they're doing on.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Christmas and what they want?
- 48:46Speaker 2: What they want?
- 48:48Speaker 4: What do they want? Having a peek into a sex
- 48:50Speaker 4: worker's life during Thanksgiving is that a busy time or not?
- 48:54Speaker 4: That's interesting? Can you punch her?
- 48:55Speaker 2: And these are the questions where the hard questions.
- 49:02Speaker 1: We're asking.
- 49:02Speaker 2: These questions we were asked during all the other GTAs,
- 49:06Speaker 2: and so anything if you hear anything goes well, that
- 49:07Speaker 2: sounds like you're trying a little too hard to be inclusive.
- 49:09Speaker 1: We have to and you can't get mad at us.
- 49:12Speaker 1: It's in the game. It's literally the game. Everything we're
- 49:16Speaker 1: saying is we're just talking about the game and the.
- 49:19Speaker 3: Other jobs before this, but we have to do the assignment,
- 49:23Speaker 3: which is some people are going to get pushed, and
- 49:26Speaker 3: those people sometimes are women.
- 49:28Speaker 6: Because guess what, women get pushed in real life. And
- 49:30Speaker 6: we're not about to sanitize the world, but we're playing here.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Yeah, no way, especially very lost the.
- 49:41Speaker 4: Nervous. You talked about a woman being pushed and your
- 49:43Speaker 4: heart is so big.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Because this is a minefield, of course, and I speaking
- 49:47Speaker 3: of minefields, you know, I feel like we should talk
- 49:51Speaker 3: about the leaks, you know, how are we getting around these?
- 49:56Speaker 3: How are have we dodged some bullets? I know there
- 49:59Speaker 3: was an entire scene that we had to rewrite because.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Should we play the should we play the scene? That
- 50:05Speaker 1: was leaked originally. I think, so okay, and let's play it.
- 50:10Speaker 1: This is a cutaway scene in chapter four, the part
- 50:13Speaker 1: where you're on the beach.
- 50:17Speaker 6: You're getting again in sand in my pasta.
- 50:20Speaker 4: Oh sorry, baby.
- 50:23Speaker 6: Suddenly I don't have such a problem with you.
- 50:30Speaker 4: Way, are you kids drinking on the beach again?
- 50:36Speaker 6: No, this lady's getting sand in my basta.
- 50:39Speaker 2: All right, I'm.
- 50:43Speaker 5: Confused, honey, remind you you'll only have me for another one.
- 50:50Speaker 4: Pete. Oh, I know I used you, Pete, I used
- 50:52Speaker 4: you for and I'm still assigned in to your Netflix account.
- 50:55Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Pete. I owe you the world watch it.
- 50:57Speaker 6: And I don't understand how no one called out how
- 50:59Speaker 6: that was like incoherent Yeah, like their problems. They had
- 51:05Speaker 6: all sorts of other problems with Well.
- 51:07Speaker 1: That's one of the hardest things about this game I find, specifically,
- 51:10Speaker 1: is that you'll be talking to somebody but accidentally run
- 51:12Speaker 1: into somebody else, so they'll walk into you, and all
- 51:15Speaker 1: those characters are animated, so they'll just start talking. You
- 51:17Speaker 1: really can't hear the main plot. I want to characters
- 51:21Speaker 1: are talking to each other time.
- 51:25Speaker 4: If that footage, fuck you, we weren't so fucking hard
- 51:29Speaker 4: on that scene.
- 51:31Speaker 5: We worked so hard we wanted to and we talked
- 51:34Speaker 5: about this a lot.
- 51:34Speaker 3: We wanted to create a sense of confusion so sinister
- 51:39Speaker 3: it almost sounds like regular speech, almost sounds like a
- 51:42Speaker 3: scene you have a familiar.
- 51:44Speaker 1: It was so real life. That exact scene was so
- 51:47Speaker 1: real life.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Running into that literally is something that happened on the beach.
- 51:54Speaker 2: To me, I was with a gorgeous, gorgeous woman I'd
- 51:57Speaker 2: rented for the hour. She got sand in my poss stuff.
- 52:00Speaker 2: The police came and told me that they couldn't be
- 52:02Speaker 2: on there, and this woman out of nowhere started telling
- 52:05Speaker 2: me about how she still uses my Netflix.
- 52:07Speaker 4: And then a crow with that happened to second.
- 52:10Speaker 2: I don't know if you caught that crow.
- 52:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I thought it was a seagull. I think it
- 52:14Speaker 6: was a crow with boobs.
- 52:17Speaker 4: Let's play the other leaked footage of the crow with ass.
- 52:20Speaker 1: So this was early beta testings. This is one of
- 52:23Speaker 1: the side missions where you can go into the deep backwoods,
- 52:26Speaker 1: the swamp lands, and it's actually big because you're kind
- 52:30Speaker 1: of confronting your mother in Miami, of Miami Miami, so
- 52:35Speaker 1: close to the bike Miami, but so legally We couldn't
- 52:37Speaker 1: call it the Everglades, so we had to call it
- 52:39Speaker 1: the Bayeu of Miami. So we got door Land, we
- 52:41Speaker 1: got somebody on the city, and we didn't get anyone
- 52:43Speaker 1: to look at greed.
- 52:45Speaker 2: No one looked at them.
- 52:46Speaker 4: Just do traffic stuff, guys. I don't do trees and bushit.
- 52:49Speaker 1: So this is one of your like your step mom
- 52:52Speaker 1: who you had a good relationship with, but then your
- 52:55Speaker 1: dad got divorced from her, he kind of lost contact.
- 52:57Speaker 1: You're coming to ask her for help in pushing these
- 53:00Speaker 1: drugs out. So this is one of these cut scenes.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Oh, honey, there you are. I just went to the
- 53:05Speaker 2: store and I found this new holiday oreo. I think
- 53:08Speaker 2: it's something like something like a pumpkin pie ormonnalligator.
- 53:14Speaker 1: Take a seat.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Let me get you some coffee. Let me get you
- 53:16Speaker 2: some oreos. What do you need.
- 53:17Speaker 6: Do you have decaf?
- 53:19Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 53:19Speaker 6: I think I have some decaf.
- 53:21Speaker 2: You look for Warren?
- 53:22Speaker 1: Is your Pete?
- 53:23Speaker 2: Is your job taking a lot out of you? Well,
- 53:25Speaker 2: it's actually my job, my wife.
- 53:27Speaker 6: It's all really tough, Pete.
- 53:30Speaker 2: You can talk to me that, Pete. We all go
- 53:33Speaker 2: through tough.
- 53:34Speaker 6: Times that I always thought Dad never treated you.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Why would you say something you know well, because I
- 53:41Speaker 2: should know.
- 53:41Speaker 6: I should have said it years ago, but he doesn't.
- 53:43Speaker 6: He didn't treat you, Pete.
- 53:44Speaker 2: You know I love you. Your father's got faws. Your
- 53:47Speaker 2: father's not perfect, just like all of them.
- 53:51Speaker 6: I don't know if what we're doing is appropriate.
- 53:55Speaker 2: I love you.
- 53:56Speaker 6: I love you too.
- 53:57Speaker 4: You're gay. I can't cross this, I can Honey, you
- 54:02Speaker 4: better work.
- 54:04Speaker 2: I need this to be turned off.
- 54:06Speaker 1: Okay, it's off, it's off, it's off.
- 54:08Speaker 4: Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 54:11Speaker 1: I think that was coherent and clear, and unfortunately we
- 54:14Speaker 1: had to cut that because we switched one of the
- 54:17Speaker 1: main and.
- 54:18Speaker 3: The glaring problem with that, of course, was that the
- 54:21Speaker 3: boobs were on the crow.
- 54:23Speaker 1: It was not, and also you just didn't really feel
- 54:25Speaker 1: the intimacy of the relationship between the stepmom and I
- 54:28Speaker 1: felt it.
- 54:29Speaker 2: I actually think that dialogue was there, and I don't
- 54:31Speaker 2: know what you think is wrong with the clip. I
- 54:33Speaker 2: think some other people got their hands in the pot,
- 54:35Speaker 2: and I think they started started around.
- 54:37Speaker 1: It's just how the game authentically works.
- 54:40Speaker 6: Well, I started ask you for one big favor, and
- 54:42Speaker 6: that was a favor to have one character go are
- 54:44Speaker 6: you gay? In the middle of it, so that.
- 54:48Speaker 4: You learn that you learned that right at the allegion.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Ye, yes, you.
- 54:52Speaker 4: You learned that that you learn.
- 54:54Speaker 6: That, I feel so I feel like I have a
- 54:56Speaker 6: little responsibility for that too.
- 54:58Speaker 1: My bad.
- 55:00Speaker 5: You actually Candler in there.
- 55:03Speaker 2: All right, Well we have to go. Uh, nobody's allowed
- 55:07Speaker 2: to touch their phone for the next three hours.
- 55:08Speaker 1: We cannot be leaked. We're done. Is there any final thoughts, Well,
- 55:13Speaker 1: let's talk.
- 55:14Speaker 4: Yes, okay, let's just really quickly for us, we.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Do one more clip.
- 55:25Speaker 4: Sorry, okay, so this is this is the worst.
- 55:28Speaker 5: We had to cut this, we.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Had to cut No, this is this is in it?
- 55:32Speaker 1: I think, I think I don't know.
- 55:33Speaker 3: Okay, no, no, then we'll do the one that's in it.
- 55:35Speaker 3: So this is the one that's in it. We are
- 55:37Speaker 3: in Disney World, We are in clumb thirty three, and
- 55:42Speaker 3: you are you are talking to a Disney bounder who
- 55:46Speaker 3: won't get off her phone. Yeah, and of course, of
- 55:51Speaker 3: course Mickey shows up.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good, it's really good. And this one is
- 55:55Speaker 1: the most crystal clear one. It really makes super cool.
- 55:57Speaker 1: All right, and let's let's start playing the game.
- 56:00Speaker 2: Pete. If you're unhappy with your job, you gotta quit, man,
- 56:03Speaker 2: don't push me, Pete. If you're unhappy with the job.
- 56:07Speaker 4: Guys, it's me Jenna bounds a lot job Yellow.
- 56:13Speaker 2: I know Blizzard tiring. Blizzards had some issues, but it's
- 56:16Speaker 2: trying to resolve in pretty fast through theyand Sega's still
- 56:23Speaker 2: doing things left and right. There there's a big push
- 56:25Speaker 2: on their nostalgic scept So there's a job there.
- 56:28Speaker 6: You watch it. Goofy is my fo my child.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Pete, you're just different since you started working for G
- 56:35Speaker 2: I just miss you man.
- 56:36Speaker 5: Are you gay?
- 56:38Speaker 6: And again that was me?
- 56:41Speaker 1: I like I G you.
- 56:43Speaker 6: You always do me one favor. You get me to
- 56:45Speaker 6: give a little input, and it's that and I can't
- 56:47Speaker 6: feel helpful like I snowballed that.
- 56:50Speaker 1: No, it was awesome. It's such a good playable game,
- 56:52Speaker 1: super fun, super coherent and really dirty. So, guys, thanks
- 56:58Speaker 1: so much for watching and listening, and uh, please play
- 57:02Speaker 1: the game.
- 57:03Speaker 2: You can get it on Xbox, you can get on PlayStation.

- 58:12Speaker 4: And it has real things actually about video games like
- 58:15Speaker 4: this person.
- 58:16Speaker 6: And I've only done one episode where we made up
- 58:18Speaker 6: a fake game.
