- 0:00Have faith. Let it begin. When it starts right now.
- 0:06Welcome to Have Faith. Let it begin. Here's your host, Angel Santana.
- 0:13Ariel, can you say, have faith? Let it begin. Let it begin? Let it begin. Say, have faith.
- 0:21Let it begin. Let it begin. No. No? No? Okay. Hi, Noah. Noah! Noah!
- 0:30Happy birthday, Noah. I'm doing amazing. Noah.
- 0:38This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
- 0:43This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
- 0:47This little light of rain, I'm gonna let it shine. Let it shine.
- 0:53Let it shine. Let it shine. Yeah.
- 0:59Daddy, I'm so excited, but I have one question. What's your question?
- 1:03Are you going to be a pastor or a minister?
- 1:06Good question. I don't know, but it is all in God's hands. Good morning.
- 1:11You're listening to Have Faith Let It Begin, and it starts right now.
- 1:16Good morning, everyone, and welcome to the January 2nd, 2025 edition of Have Faith Let It Begin.
- 1:23I hope that each and every one of you had a beautiful holiday season.
- 1:26And for most of you out there that I know, we are counting down now the Three
- 1:31Kings Day for January 6th.
- 1:33That's right. January 5th will be Three Kings Eve.
- 1:35And then January 6th will be Three Kings Day.
- 1:39We're excited about that. For those of you that don't know what Three Kings
- 1:41is and don't celebrate it, on Three Kings Eve, which will be January 5th,
- 1:46all the kids would go out and they would get food or grass or carrots or lettuce.
- 1:52And they put it in a shoebox. that is for the camels that are coming into town.
- 1:57And it's a story of obviously the three kings and they, you know,
- 2:01follow the star and you able to educate your children about,
- 2:04you know, the birth of Christ.
- 2:05And then what happens is, you know, the kids put the shoebox alongside their
- 2:10bed, underneath their bed, and they await their final present of the holiday season.
- 2:16Typically in Puerto Rico, that is the best gift of all of them.
- 2:20So at the end of the year, you get that one major gift.
- 2:25And when you wake up the next morning.
- 2:28The food is all gone. Sometimes the camels will gnaw off the carrots,
- 2:32maybe leave a little bit of pizzas left if they don't eat at all.
- 2:35And underneath your bed or on the side of your bed, depending on where you left
- 2:40your box, will be your final holiday present.
- 2:43That is Three Kings Day, and we're excited about that.
- 2:47So rest assured, don't think of January 6th as, unfortunately,
- 2:51we've heard it in negative terms.
- 2:53It's really a beautiful day to honor. It is a day that we call Three Kings Day, the epiphany.
- 3:00So guys, I just wanted to start off and say to you that the holiday seasons for some of us is over.
- 3:06And it doesn't mean that we should, you know, go and crawl into a little cave
- 3:10and say, okay, let's ride out the winter.
- 3:12We've got so much to be grateful for in light, of course, of all the tragedies
- 3:17that have happened in the last 24 hours and us praying and keeping our thoughts for New Orleans.
- 3:23And of course, New York City, who I just found out this morning was another
- 3:26mass shooting and the explosion, of course, in Las Vegas.
- 3:30There's been so much craziness in the last 48 hours.
- 3:35We want to still try our very best to think positive about this new year and
- 3:40also, of course, be conscious of our surroundings.
- 3:43So this morning, I want to just bring up the fact that, you know,
- 3:49each and every day is not guaranteed and we can't promise tomorrow.
- 3:54We can't promise the next hour. What we can do is love one another,
- 3:59respect one another, embrace one another, and reach out to one another.
- 4:04Let each other's know that we are thinking about each other.
- 4:07Let each other know that we're praying for someone.
- 4:10And if someone has been call the home to be with the Lord.
- 4:15Maybe we should be honoring that person and celebrating their life and thinking about the good times.
- 4:21Very easier said than done, right? When you're in the opposite way of thinking.
- 4:27For example, I could be sitting here telling you all the good things that are
- 4:30happening in my life right now, while some of you are dealing with struggles,
- 4:34either where it's financial, whether it's loss of life, whether it's mental
- 4:39illness, or just trying to make bills meet.
- 4:43Some of us are working triple and quadruple jobs just to make ends meet and are exhausted.
- 4:49And our health feels as if it's deteriorating and we feel as if we can't do
- 4:55anything to keep our heads above water.
- 4:59You know, watching my nephew and niece and my sister and, you know,
- 5:05and my sister-in-law come up and visit and having our families all together
- 5:10in one room really solidified for me,
- 5:13you know, the importance of family and memories and creating new memories and
- 5:19reminiscing about the past.
- 5:21But also talking about our Lord and Savior and what he has provided us each and every day.
- 5:29My heart breaks for all those out there that are suffering and are upset because
- 5:35someone has taken a family member away from them during this,
- 5:40which should be glorious celebration.
- 5:43But one thing is for sure, God is with all of us.
- 5:47God is keeping us in his arms and we're certainly not alone.
- 5:52So this morning, I just ask you to just hug somebody.
- 5:57Call someone Let them know you care Let them know that you are with them in
- 6:02spirit And that you're thinking of them And don't let anyone feel as if they're
- 6:07alone Remember that today As we pray the words that God taught us Our Father,
- 6:14who art in heaven Hallowed be thy name Thy kingdom
- 6:18come Thy will be done On earth
- 6:21as it is in heaven Give us this day our
- 6:24daily bread And forgive us our debts As we
- 6:27forgive our debtors Lead us not into
- 6:30temptation Deliver us from evil For yours
- 6:33is the kingdom The power And the glory forever and ever Amen And finally We
- 6:40pray for all the military personnel Foreign and domestic We pray for these FBI
- 6:44agents And all the local enforcements That are dealing with these tragedies That they find,
- 6:52those who are responsible for committing these cowardly, heinous attacks,
- 6:57and that we pray that the world finds a way to heal and to honor and celebrate
- 7:03the lives that have been lost.
- 7:05We at Have Faith Let It Begin are praying for everyone out there,
- 7:08and we ask the Lord to guide them and to keep them safe.
- 7:13If there is going to be a sugar bowl tonight, we pray, Lord,
- 7:16that that entire venue that I've actually stepped foot in in 2018 while I was
- 7:22in New Orleans, may all of those people remain safe.
- 7:27May the venue and the event go off without any issues or interruptions.
- 7:32We ask this of you, Lord, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- 7:36Amen. May God be with you. May he shine his light upon you and grant each and
- 7:40every single one of you peace on earth.
- 7:43And never forget, have faith, let it begin. See you tomorrow, guys.
