- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to The Mark Simone Show. Live from the
- 0:04Speaker 1: WOR LifeVac studios. Well, it's the third and final hour
- 0:11Speaker 1: of the show. A lot to get to this hour. So,
- 0:13Speaker 1: you know, the election, the midterms, the governor's race here,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and all this stuff is only like 35 days away.
- 0:19Speaker 1: It's coming up pretty fast. Kathy Hochul has agreed to
- 0:23Speaker 1: only one debate. This is unusual. Just one debate. She's
- 0:26Speaker 1: turned down All the major debates. She's refused to debate
- 0:29Speaker 1: on Channel 2, Channel 4, Channel 5, Channel 7. She's
- 0:33Speaker 1: agreed to one. New York won, which has 12 viewers
- 0:37Speaker 1: and is the most biased, slanted left-wing place imaginable. The
- 0:43Speaker 1: debate moderator will be the extremely biased left-wing Errol Lewis.
- 0:47Speaker 1: So that's all she's agreed to. But we'll see what
- 0:52Speaker 1: happens in that debate. Something could go viral. You never know.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Around the country, a lot of these Republican candidates suddenly
- 1:00Speaker 1: trying to distance themselves from Donald Trump, which might be
- 1:03Speaker 1: a mistake. But one thing that GOP has, although it's
- 1:08Speaker 1: getting close, whatever they got, they should be using right now.
- 1:11Speaker 1: But they do have a ton of money. The RNC
- 1:15Speaker 1: has about $ 250 million in cash. The DNC has about
- 1:19Speaker 1: $ 10 million. So the RNC does have tremendous resources. And
- 1:24Speaker 1: they are showing up in certain states. National Republican Senatorial
- 1:30Speaker 1: Committee's latest round of spending will be $ 46 million. They're
- 1:34Speaker 1: putting $ 10 million into Iowa, $ 11 million into Ohio, $ 2
- 1:39Speaker 1: million into Alaska, $ 8 million into North Carolina. North Carolina
- 1:43Speaker 1: is the toughest one. These other states, Ohio, Iowa, they
- 1:46Speaker 1: shouldn't have this kind of trouble. But Iowa looks tied.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Sherrod Brown in Ohio has a four-point lead. This shouldn't
- 1:53Speaker 1: be going on. Michigan is close. That shouldn't be going on.
- 1:57Speaker 1: You got Mamdani and crazy left-wing radical Chuck Schumer raising
- 2:04Speaker 1: money for that horrible, awful, anti-Semitic Michigan candidate. Yeah. Yeah,
- 2:11Speaker 1: Schumer raising money for it. So President Trump even has
- 2:16Speaker 1: an ad he's running all over the place about– what
- 2:19Speaker 1: he's done, what Republicans have done, but apparently the government
- 2:22Speaker 1: paid for it. So everybody's up in arms. Perfectly legal.
- 2:25Speaker 1: It's been done by other presidents. It's one thing Democrats forget,
- 2:30Speaker 1: one thing in the media ignores. When they go after
- 2:33Speaker 1: Trump for something, they never mentioned that every other president's
- 2:36Speaker 1: done exactly the same thing. But Schumer put on his,
- 2:39Speaker 1: remember he used to have the Ben Franklin glasses? Now
- 2:42Speaker 1: he's got those big, huge Swifty Lazar glasses. And he
- 2:46Speaker 1: reads his little index cards and tries to sound mad.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I'm calling on the administration to reveal which agency aired
- 2:54Speaker 2: this illegal propaganda, on whose orders, and exactly at what
- 2:58Speaker 2: cost to the American taxpayer.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Well, that's it. He's calling on them. Good. This Schumer,
- 3:08Speaker 1: I love just listening to clips of him. It doesn't
- 3:09Speaker 1: matter what he's saying. You can tell he's not even listening.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You can tell he never saw these words before in
- 3:14Speaker 1: his life. Somebody wrote it out. on an index card
- 3:17Speaker 1: and he's reading it.
- 3:17Speaker 3: We have a population that is not reproducing it on
- 3:21Speaker 3: its own with the same level that it used to.
- 3:24Speaker 3: The only way we're going to have a great future
- 3:26Speaker 3: in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants, the
- 3:29Speaker 3: dreamers and all of them.
- 3:32Speaker 1: So he says we're not reproducing. The only way we
- 3:36Speaker 1: can keep the country going is illegals coming in. We're
- 3:40Speaker 1: not reproducing. Is he crazy? Is he crazy? How many
- 3:44Speaker 1: times have you been in an airplane or a restaurant
- 3:46Speaker 1: and you hear screaming babies everywhere? How many times have
- 3:48Speaker 1: you tried to walk down the street and there's somebody
- 3:50Speaker 1: with a stroller? Obviously, we're reproducing. Check the maternity wards.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Plenty of babies are being born all the time. Are
- 3:59Speaker 1: you a guy? Every woman you know is going to Pilates.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Every time you talk to a woman, I have to
- 4:04Speaker 1: go to Pilates tomorrow. I get up early. I got Pilates.
- 4:08Speaker 1: She's leaving for Pilates. No guy knows what the hell
- 4:11Speaker 1: this is, this Pilates. I don't know. It's something where
- 4:13Speaker 1: they stretch and move and do something. But according to this,
- 4:18Speaker 1: more and more men are taking up Pilates. Oh, I
- 4:23Speaker 1: don't mean a couple of guys who used to do
- 4:24Speaker 1: it just to meet women. No, I mean they're like
- 4:26Speaker 1: seriously taking it. But they want their own classes. They
- 4:29Speaker 1: do not want to be in a room full of
- 4:33Speaker 1: women doing Pilates. One of the problems is the women
- 4:36Speaker 1: are pretty damn good at it. Guys, we don't know
- 4:38Speaker 1: what the hell we're doing with this Pilates. So there's
- 4:40Speaker 1: a lot. It's a big thing now. Men's Pilates classes.
- 4:44Speaker 1: You know, this whole thing was founded by a guy
- 4:47Speaker 1: named Joseph Pilates. That's where the name comes from. You know,
- 4:54Speaker 1: people like to think, oh, Pilates, it's like an ancient Greek.
- 4:57Speaker 1: It goes back to the Stone Age. No, it's a
- 4:59Speaker 1: guy named Joe Pilates who invented this. Actually, it was
- 5:03Speaker 1: after World War II. He was in World War, oh, no, wait,
- 5:07Speaker 1: World War I. So it's pretty old. It's over 100
- 5:09Speaker 1: years old. but he came up with this routine to
- 5:12Speaker 1: repair his own health, strengthen wounded soldiers. But, you know,
- 5:18Speaker 1: if you were in World War I, there was a guy,
- 5:20Speaker 1: somebody could say to you, hey, you know my friend
- 5:21Speaker 1: Joe Pilates? Hey, Joe, how are you? And his uniform
- 5:25Speaker 1: said Pilates on it. So he didn't envision one day
- 5:29Speaker 1: it would be like the favorite thing for women. It's
- 5:32Speaker 1: good for you, though. It's good, it's stretching, it's doing
- 5:34Speaker 1: all kinds of things for you. So this new study
- 5:37Speaker 1: shows that pizza-wise... This is not a good study. This
- 5:41Speaker 1: is not Dave Portnoy. He's the most accurate when it
- 5:45Speaker 1: comes to where the best pizza is. This is based
- 5:48Speaker 1: on Google customer ratings, and who knows where those come from,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and sanitation scores. In other words, who produces the most garbage?
- 5:57Speaker 1: In other words, who's the busiest pizza place? Manhattan wins
- 6:01Speaker 1: easily with 18% of the country's best pizza joints. Oh, no, actually,
- 6:07Speaker 1: that's New York City. New York City has 18% of
- 6:10Speaker 1: the country's best. Within New York City, Manhattan wins with 60%
- 6:16Speaker 1: of the top-rated pizza joints. 60%. Now, there's some good
- 6:21Speaker 1: pizza in Queens. Some of the greatest pizza in the
- 6:23Speaker 1: world is in Brooklyn, DeFara, and some of those places.
- 6:27Speaker 1: The best pizza in the world in Manhattan, you got
- 6:31Speaker 1: John's of Bleeker Street, and you got, well, just watch Portnoy.
- 6:36Speaker 1: There's a lot of the top pizza in the world
- 6:39Speaker 1: in Manhattan. Number two, I guess, would be New Haven,
- 6:42Speaker 1: Frank Pepe's, Sally's, and a couple of those others. Connecticut
- 6:46Speaker 1: is an amazingly strong pizza place. For sleepy little Connecticut,
- 6:51Speaker 1: not known for food, it's got the Colony, Frank Pepe's, Sally's,
- 6:55Speaker 1: and a few others. I mean, amazing, amazing amount of
- 7:00Speaker 1: great pizza there. Yeah. These AI centers, these data centers,
- 7:05Speaker 1: nobody wants them. You know how much money these data
- 7:08Speaker 1: centers have? These companies, do you know how much money
- 7:11Speaker 1: they have to throw around? So they want to build
- 7:13Speaker 1: one in Hazel Township in Pennsylvania. The whole town is
- 7:17Speaker 1: opposed to it, blocking it. So they sent out 11,000
- 7:23Speaker 1: letters to everybody in town. They sent a letter saying,
- 7:26Speaker 1: we'll give you $ 10, 000 if you vote for the data center.
- 7:27Speaker 1: 10,000 a person. Now, how much does that cost them?
- 7:34Speaker 1: $ 45 million. But that's nothing to them. $ 45 million just
- 7:37Speaker 1: to buy some votes. The company also plans to make
- 7:41Speaker 1: $ 120 million in payments to support the town for local police,
- 7:46Speaker 1: all that sort of stuff. Now, if you're going to
- 7:50Speaker 1: get a check for $ 10, 000 from the data center company,
- 7:55Speaker 1: you know, average income there is $ 60, 000. That's a lot
- 7:57Speaker 1: of money. You could pay your rent for a year.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Could take care of your groceries and all kinds of
- 8:02Speaker 1: things for a lot longer. So we'll see what happens.
- 8:05Speaker 1: These data centers slowly solving the problem, the electricity problem
- 8:08Speaker 1: they can fix. They can generate all their own electricity.
- 8:12Speaker 1: The water problem they fixed. They can recycle water. It's
- 8:16Speaker 1: just the noise from those turbines. The answer to that
- 8:19Speaker 1: is probably coming from Elon Musk. He's building his own
- 8:23Speaker 1: data centers, but he's also going to build his own turbines.
- 8:26Speaker 1: He'll figure out a way to make those things quiet.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And once that's done, that should end the opposition to
- 8:32Speaker 1: the data centers. And pretty amazing. Now, that's a big issue.
- 8:39Speaker 1: That's a big issue. You know, these crazy left-wingers, a
- 8:44Speaker 1: lot of the left, the Jimmy Kimmel crowd, a lot
- 8:47Speaker 1: of the MSNBC crowd, the CNN crowd, they're generally angry
- 8:51Speaker 1: old people. They're all old. They're old left-wingers. They're older.
- 8:55Speaker 1: They don't work so much. They got a lot of
- 8:58Speaker 1: free time. They're watching MSNBC and CNN and reading the
- 9:01Speaker 1: New York Times. They're all well over 60 and they're
- 9:04Speaker 1: all angry. And I was listening to Jimmy Fallon last night.
- 9:07Speaker 1: It's a great show every night, nine to midnight. He
- 9:10Speaker 1: was pointing out that these angry old white liberals, nothing
- 9:17Speaker 1: to do all day except get mad. You know, they're
- 9:19Speaker 1: the ones screaming about the ballroom and they're the ones
- 9:22Speaker 1: that can't stop talking about the reflecting pool and He
- 9:25Speaker 1: said they probably don't realize that real Americans, normal people
- 9:29Speaker 1: that are working their ass off every day trying to
- 9:31Speaker 1: pay the bills, they're working in the factory, they're working
- 9:33Speaker 1: two jobs, they're raising kids, they're busy. They don't care
- 9:37Speaker 1: about the pool, the ballroom. It's not an issue for them.
- 9:40Speaker 1: They don't think about it for a second. They got
- 9:43Speaker 1: other things to worry about. Affordability, yeah, that can be
- 9:45Speaker 1: a problem. But that's kind of a democratic problem, too.
- 9:50Speaker 1: if you look at these studies, the number one expense
- 9:52Speaker 1: a lot of people have are their taxes. That's Democrats
- 9:55Speaker 1: trying to tax you to death. That's the Hokuls and
- 9:58Speaker 1: the Mamdanis. And, health care is a big issue not
- 10:01Speaker 1: getting the right you know tough getting the right health
- 10:03Speaker 1: care right getting the right medical coverage well that's a
- 10:06Speaker 1: democratic problem because what's the system we're all under now
- 10:09Speaker 1: obamacare so if there's any problems with medical care well
- 10:14Speaker 1: Thank Obamacare. Remember, he had the White House, the House,
- 10:17Speaker 1: the Senate. He could pass anything he wanted for a
- 10:21Speaker 1: medical program, and that's what he passed. So if it's
- 10:23Speaker 1: not working well, but as Jimmy pointed out, that's what
- 10:28Speaker 1: the Democrats do. They create a huge problem, and then
- 10:30Speaker 1: they campaign as the guys that can solve it. If
- 10:34Speaker 1: you're on Instagram and they're trying to sell you this
- 10:37Speaker 1: new Instagram Plus for $ 4 a month, an extra $ 4
- 10:39Speaker 1: a month, you could get Instagram Plus. What does it
- 10:47Speaker 1: give you? Well, your story, you know, when you post
- 10:49Speaker 1: an Instagram story, it only stays up 24 hours. Why?
- 10:53Speaker 1: You could make it stay up longer. I don't know
- 10:57Speaker 1: if anybody cares about that. The new story rewatch count
- 11:02Speaker 1: lets you see how many times your story was replayed,
- 11:06Speaker 1: who exactly looked at it and didn't check like on it.
- 11:11Speaker 1: You can see if somebody watched it twice. If you're
- 11:17Speaker 1: a stalker, this could be valuable. There are people that,
- 11:20Speaker 1: you know, the woman they're interested in, they keep checking
- 11:23Speaker 1: to see, did she look at my story? Did she
- 11:25Speaker 1: view my... Outside of that, I don't see why anybody
- 11:28Speaker 1: wants to pay $ 4 a month for this. It also
- 11:32Speaker 1: provides timestamps for when someone first viewed a story. Updating
- 11:37Speaker 1: if they return to re-watch it. You got to be
- 11:40Speaker 1: a little crazy if you need this information. others say,
- 11:44Speaker 1: but others are warning, be careful. This charging, Instagram is free.
- 11:50Speaker 1: It's $ 4 a month for these features. They think it
- 11:53Speaker 1: might be these social media companies testing out, trying to
- 11:59Speaker 1: start charging you. No more free social media. Meta and
- 12:02Speaker 1: these other companies, that might be the future they're looking at.
- 12:05Speaker 1: No more free Instagram. No more free TikTok. No more
- 12:09Speaker 1: free Facebook. You know, There are a lot of people
- 12:12Speaker 1: that spend the whole day on social media. If it's
- 12:15Speaker 1: that vital to you, if you're going to devote that
- 12:17Speaker 1: much of your life to it, maybe they should be
- 12:20Speaker 1: charging you for it. If they got you that hooked,
- 12:25Speaker 1: why not charge you? So look for that to be
- 12:27Speaker 1: coming in the future. A lot of 2028 candidates. Remember
- 12:30Speaker 1: Rahm Emanuel? This guy is trying so hard to be
- 12:34Speaker 1: a 2028 candidate. Problem with Rahm Emanuel, he looks like
- 12:38Speaker 1: a thuggish kind of... dirty political operative from years ago,
- 12:42Speaker 1: big part of the Clinton administration. Now, you might say, well,
- 12:45Speaker 1: he got elected mayor of Chicago. That's different. That's the
- 12:48Speaker 1: real thuggish, creepy guys get elected mayor of Chicago. Richard Daley,
- 12:53Speaker 1: the greatest example. But he wants to be a 2028 candidate.
- 12:58Speaker 1: He's a little outdated. He looks like a rough, tough, old,
- 13:03Speaker 1: old school politician. That's not popular with Democrats nowadays. He
- 13:08Speaker 1: was asked, what separates you from the other Dems? He said,
- 13:13Speaker 1: three things. And they said, oh, everybody's listening. What's the
- 13:15Speaker 1: three things? He said, candor. Nobody cares about that. Authenticity. Again,
- 13:26Speaker 1: dirty old political operative. I wouldn't use those as great
- 13:31Speaker 1: examples of authenticity. He said, the other one is strength.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And what that means.
- 13:39Speaker 1: In his case, it means he was really a nasty guy.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Remember they used to call him Dead Fish Rom? He's
- 13:44Speaker 1: the guy that sent a dead fish to somebody. So
- 13:47Speaker 1: I think his time has really passed. He said, he
- 13:50Speaker 1: gives you one of those. Anytime you hear this kind
- 13:52Speaker 1: of speech, you know that they have nothing to run on.
- 13:55Speaker 1: He said, because if elected, I know what to do
- 13:58Speaker 1: on day one. Remember Hillary Clinton tried that. A lot
- 14:00Speaker 1: of people have nothing to sell you, arguing. I'll be
- 14:04Speaker 1: ready on day one. No, who cares? Let's say you're
- 14:06Speaker 1: not ready until day five. We could live with that.
- 14:09Speaker 1: ready on day one. He said, no, I'm not going
- 14:12Speaker 1: to tell you what you like to hear. I'm going
- 14:14Speaker 1: to tell you what you need to know. I'll make
- 14:16Speaker 1: the tough decisions. Again, very, very outdated guy. 2028, Kamala Harris,
- 14:22Speaker 1: believe it or not, still in the lead with 25%
- 14:26Speaker 1: among Democratic voters, still in the lead. Hey, we'll take
- 14:30Speaker 1: some calls next. We'll see if the phones work. We'll
- 14:32Speaker 1: take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number. If you're
- 14:38Speaker 1: a new caller, we'd love to hear from you. 800-321-0710.
