- 0:00Speaker 1: Colin Fugg, what do we need to know today?
- 0:01Speaker 2: Things have gotten so intense in Paris. Now, parts of
- 0:05Speaker 2: the city are under a nighttime curfew. Remember, we said
- 0:08Speaker 2: they had thought they may be going there, and they
- 0:10Speaker 2: went there. After protests over the cost of living and
- 0:13Speaker 2: problems in schools turned really violent, cars were set on fire,
- 0:16Speaker 2: stores were looted. Reports say more than 2,400 people were
- 0:19Speaker 2: arrested across France. Authorities are preparing for more demonstrations, although
- 0:23Speaker 2: the curfews have sort of helped calm things down a
- 0:26Speaker 2: little bit. But yeah, the fact that they're preparing for more,
- 0:29Speaker 2: they know they're far from done with this. There's a
- 0:32Speaker 2: new twist in that disturbing Cornell fraternity sexual assault case.
- 0:36Speaker 2: So a former fraternity president has now been dropped from
- 0:38Speaker 2: the lawsuit. And get this, turns out he wasn't actually
- 0:42Speaker 2: the president when the alleged assault happened.
- 0:45Speaker 3: So they were like, well, obviously you were the president
- 0:47Speaker 3: at the time. You had something to do with this.
- 0:48Speaker 3: And he's like, but I wasn't the president at the time.
- 0:50Speaker 3: So he's been dropped from the lawsuit.
- 0:51Speaker 2: But the allegations of the other members of the fraternity, that–
- 0:57Speaker 2: That lawsuit is still moving forward.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I was like, I must be.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Seeing things yesterday when they're like, yeah, there's going to
- 1:04Speaker 2: be tornado warnings and tornado watches or whatever in Arizona tomorrow.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm sorry, what? That's not real, but it is.
- 1:12Speaker 3: We have some pretty wild.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Weather on tap across the state. There's three tornado warnings
- 1:18Speaker 2: issued right now. Luckily, it's not like here in the
- 1:21Speaker 2: Phoenix metro area. It's like Flagstaff, Prescott, and Jerome, and Cottonwood.
- 1:25Speaker 2: That's where those storm warnings are. And then also, there's
- 1:29Speaker 2: reports of maybe golf ball or even baseball-sized hail that
- 1:33Speaker 2: could be happening in some of those areas.
- 1:35Speaker 1: So I have a history of bad stuff happening in
- 1:37Speaker 1: my backyard because of certain things. And in my roof,
- 1:40Speaker 1: I'm getting a new roof right now. It's been working
- 1:41Speaker 1: on it.
- 1:42Speaker 4: It's the worst time to get a new roof. Well,
- 1:44Speaker 4: it was, why? What do you mean? Because of all
- 1:45Speaker 4: the rain that's been happening over the last few weeks.
- 1:47Speaker 3: You couldn't know that.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Hey, I have to get a new roof and I
- 1:49Speaker 1: have to get a new roof. And I got this
- 1:51Speaker 1: great company, Arizona Roofers. I investigated and interviewed so many
- 1:54Speaker 1: different roofing companies. And they're almost done, but we don't
- 2:00Speaker 1: have our gutters up yet. And I saw yesterday that
- 2:04Speaker 1: today it's like a 95% chance of rain. And it's
- 2:07Speaker 1: supposed to be really, really bad. And then I saw
- 2:09Speaker 1: a graphic of the tornadoes you're talking about. And Phoenix
- 2:12Speaker 1: is in that graphic.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Well, I was just saying the three warnings issued.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Right now, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we may
- 2:19Speaker 2: not get some later.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So I called my wife about an hour ago and
- 2:22Speaker 1: her and my son Kemp are walking to go get breakfast.
- 2:25Speaker 1: And I'm like, I have this special pump that you
- 2:28Speaker 1: got to plug in because of our flooding until my
- 2:31Speaker 1: roof is fixed. I said, I have a special pump.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I go, we got to go put the pump, put
- 2:34Speaker 1: the pump in. I'm not going to be home till whatever.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And she's like, it's beautiful outside. It's a perfect day.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And I go, I'm telling you, I see it on
- 2:41Speaker 1: all the graphs that some... Hell's coming. And I was like,
- 2:46Speaker 1: and she's just like in denial. And I think she's
- 2:48Speaker 1: saying right now, then I woke up this morning. Also,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I saw on Instagram all these people in Mesa are
- 2:52Speaker 1: showing hail and rain. And I'm like, man, there's like
- 2:55Speaker 1: nothing going on in my neighborhood right now. I know.
- 2:57Speaker 3: And that's the crazy thing.
- 2:58Speaker 2: And it's like when they do these forecasts, like you
- 2:59Speaker 2: never know how exactly it's going to hit in your neighborhood.
- 3:02Speaker 4: You get the microburst. You never know.
- 3:04Speaker 5: I actually saw something the other day where it's like
- 3:06Speaker 5: when you look at your weather app and it says...
- 3:09Speaker 5: Let's say 95% rain. It's actually 100% rain in 95%
- 3:11Speaker 5: of your area. That's how you break it down.
- 3:18Speaker 4: I think she just graded it on less than you.
- 3:19Speaker 4: You're not going to get that.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I did not grade it on less than you.
- 3:22Speaker 5: So if it says on the app, there is 50%
- 3:25Speaker 5: chance of rain. You're like, oh, it's a 50% chance
- 3:28Speaker 5: it'll rain today. No, it's 100% chance that it's going
- 3:31Speaker 5: to rain today, but in 50% of the area.
- 3:34Speaker 3: That you're around.
- 3:34Speaker 4: I don't think that's how that works. So you mean
- 3:36Speaker 4: it's going to rain somewhere in your area. It's going
- 3:38Speaker 4: to rain somewhere in your area. You just don't know
- 3:39Speaker 4: if it's in your.
- 3:39Speaker 5: Area or not.
- 3:39Speaker 4: You just don't know if it's in your area.
- 3:40Speaker 3: It could be raining against a prize.
- 3:42Speaker 1: 100% chance it's going to rain today, but it might
- 3:44Speaker 1: rain to surprise.
- 3:45Speaker 5: It might not rain. But when you see 95%, 95%
- 3:48Speaker 5: of that area is going to get rain or hail
- 3:51Speaker 5: or whatever.
- 3:52Speaker 3: That's just what I saw on the internet.
- 3:53Speaker 4: I'm glad you don't work for those apps. I don't
- 3:55Speaker 4: think it works that way. Either way.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Brace yourself for the weather today. We're going to have
- 4:00Speaker 3: some weather. 100% chance.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Just not near a neighbor.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Okay.
- 4:04Speaker 2: You know, everyone's like obsessed with protein. They're putting protein
- 4:07Speaker 2: in everything. And then, you know, fiber has got the
- 4:09Speaker 2: same whole thing where it's like, ooh, with fiber. But
- 4:11Speaker 2: now apparently there is a new food trend, a new
- 4:14Speaker 2: nutrition buzzword making the rounds. I think you're going to
- 4:16Speaker 2: start seeing everywhere. And it's nutrient density. Basically, people are
- 4:21Speaker 2: starting to care less about counting calories and more about
- 4:23Speaker 2: getting the most vitamins and minerals, protein and fiber out
- 4:26Speaker 2: of every bite. So it's not just necessarily the one
- 4:29Speaker 2: thing like this has protein in it. Does it also
- 4:31Speaker 2: have all of the other nutrients that you need?
- 4:34Speaker 3: Nutri-density. Just keep that in the back of your head.
- 4:37Speaker 3: When you start seeing it, you'll be like, oh yeah,
- 4:38Speaker 3: that's the thing.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Really good news and exciting news to end on here.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Arizona has officially got a new national park. Remember I
- 4:46Speaker 2: told you the paperwork was on President Trump's desk. He
- 4:49Speaker 2: signed the legislation just yesterday upgrading Chiricahua National Monument to
- 4:54Speaker 2: a national park, making it our fourth alongside Grand Canyon.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Saguaro and the Petrified Forest. It's known for those incredible towering... Oh,
- 5:00Speaker 3: Petrified Forest is here?
- 5:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I've been there.
- 5:03Speaker 2: If you've seen pictures on social media of those incredible
- 5:06Speaker 2: towering rock formations that look like something out of another planet,
- 5:09Speaker 2: that they literally stacked rocks on top of it, that's
- 5:11Speaker 2: what that is.
- 5:12Speaker 3: And now it's a national monument.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I'd say Petrified Forest is unbelievable if you get a
- 5:16Speaker 1: chance to go to that thing. I didn't know it
- 5:17Speaker 1: was here.
- 5:18Speaker 3: All of those are, yeah. So pretty cool news for Arizona,
- 5:19Speaker 3: and that's what you need to know.
