- 0:02Happy Sunday morning everybody. I'm still in Springfield, MO,
- 0:07and let me tell you why 'cause my races got over about 12:30
- 0:14and they still had two more A mains to run.
- 0:17And I was tired. And it's funny because I had
- 0:22some friends from Saint Louis and they're like, we're headed
- 0:26home tonight. I said, you're going to get home
- 0:28about 5:00 in the morning. Yeah, I see.
- 0:31I don't do that no more. I've seen that movie.
- 0:36Making time means you're killing time because you get home at
- 0:415:00 in the morning. You drive all night long and
- 0:43then you sleep all day. You feel like crap.
- 0:45So I feel good. And we'll Mosey in onto the
- 0:48house today. Get home around 1:30 or 2:00.
- 0:53All right, Springfield, MO, Springfield Raceway, you all
- 0:59were wonderful. I showed up here Thursday night
- 1:03and this is a shout out to all of you.
- 1:08When I say everybody, I mean everybody.
- 1:11I mean every single person. Not not every other one, not
- 1:17every other one, everybody, every single person come up to
- 1:21me and they talk about this right here, Coffee with Kenny.
- 1:29I never in a million years saw this coming.
- 1:32People would say, Herman, are you going to talk about coffee
- 1:35with Kenny tomorrow? Are you going to talk about
- 1:37Springfield race rate? I said yes, I will.
- 1:40So I'm just amazed that just picking up the phone and talking
- 1:48about what was up 345 years ago, how how you all like it.
- 1:54So this is a shout out to all of you.
- 1:58I appreciate you all. Everybody come up to me last
- 2:01night and y'all are amazing. See, I'm smiling.
- 2:05This is a natural smile. So thank you.
- 2:08All that ask me to mention you all.
- 2:13Are you going to talk about Springfield Raceway on coffee
- 2:15with Kenny? I say, Oh yeah, we'll do it.
- 2:18I really wasn't going to. I usually go right into subject
- 2:20matters, but I just want to acknowledge all of you that like
- 2:23coffee with Kenny. All right, let's go at it real
- 2:29quick. I had a wonderful time.
- 2:33Jerry Hoffman that runs that racetrack, man, he did such a
- 2:36great job. Over 300 cars.
- 2:39I guarantee the concession stand last night at Springfield
- 2:42Raceway made more money than any restaurant in Springfield, MO.
- 2:48I'd sit in my pickup truck, have the heater on it, It'd get a
- 2:51little cold at night, and I'd sit there.
- 2:53I'd look at that concession stand and I'm telling you, for
- 2:55five straight hours, five straight hours, that line never
- 3:00quit. And it was a long line.
- 3:02People were getting food and hot chocolate or whatever and coffee
- 3:07and I thought certainly they're going to run out of something,
- 3:10but they're a well oiled machines.
- 3:12So shout out to the concession stand on the back straightaway
- 3:15last night. That was incredible.
- 3:18All right, congratulations to Terry Phillips, my buddy.
- 3:22He put an ass whooping on us. He won last night.
- 3:26I run 5th. You know, I'm just laughing at
- 3:32myself because I was getting ready to just move on.
- 3:35But sometimes, you know, when I talk about things, it's because
- 3:39the way I grew up. So I run 5th last night.
- 3:43I can hear my dad right now. Now Dad's gone.
- 3:46But Dad would start grilling me. He'd start going.
- 3:49Why'd you run 5th? What happened?
- 3:52Well, Dad, the race tracks, kind of a round race track.
- 3:57And you know, the whole time I was there, every time I went
- 4:01out, the track was kind of dry. And they reworked the track and
- 4:06buddy, that son of a bitch had some speed.
- 4:08And for most of the race I was loose just sideways the whole
- 4:14time, you know, round just too loose.
- 4:17I should have had it tighter, should have listened to my
- 4:22intuition. And I kind of went back and
- 4:24forth with the setup. But at the end of the race, my
- 4:27car started doing better because the the pace slowed up a little
- 4:32bit. You know, when the tracks fast,
- 4:34you bury that son of a bitch down in the corner.
- 4:37Compression on the right front spring.
- 4:38And so anyway, now I'm thinking about Schrader.
- 4:44Schrader would say it's not how you run, it's how you place the
- 4:48blame. I blame me.
- 4:52That's what's great about me being in charge.
- 4:54I kick my own ass. Herman, you should have had the
- 4:57car tighter. But I run 5th and I'm really
- 4:59happy with that. 54 cars. I run a first and a second on
- 5:07Thursday and run 5th tonight. So that's the way I justify
- 5:12things. And now I'm thinking about Dick
- 5:14Trickle. Dick Trickle would say, my boy,
- 5:17it's all and how you justify things.
- 5:19So all right, I think that's that about Springfield Raceway.
- 5:25Let me think here the oh, last night I go over Schrader's.
- 5:34I know. I I go over to Joe Rudy's.
- 5:36I go to Joe Rudy's and they're cooking some food.
- 5:39I get me something to eat and I come back in this racer.
- 5:43He stops me cold in my tracks and he's a big boy.
- 5:47He goes, Herman, I just want to let you know I love your social
- 5:51media. You defriended me.
- 5:54I looked at him. I said there's only one way.
- 5:58I defriended you, my friend. I said, you had a mother Fuck me
- 6:02or you were really mean to me. He put his head down.
- 6:07Yeah, I get I get too jacked up about NASCAR.
- 6:10It was all about NASCAR. I said, well, what'd you do?
- 6:13I said, were you mean to me? He goes, Oh yeah, I'm so sorry.
- 6:18I said, well, I probably I defriend him.
- 6:20He he called it defriend, so it must have been Facebook.
- 6:25I said, well, I said you you can't call me names, man.
- 6:29And, and I said, give me a hug, kind of put the fire out, make
- 6:32him feel better and gave him a big hug.
- 6:35So that was very interesting how he when he saw me in real and
- 6:41realized I was a real person. And I said, hey, how's it going?
- 6:45I'm smiling. And he's like, oh, man, I'm a
- 6:49big fan of yours. I just get too jacked up about
- 6:53NASCAR. And I said, yeah, I said when
- 6:55you got that phone in your hand, all of us become a different
- 6:58person. And then when we see somebody in
- 7:00real, it's like, oh God, why did we do that?
- 7:04So I just wanted to let you know when you see me in real, I'm,
- 7:09I'm kidding, like just like I am here all the time.
- 7:14So my message to all of you would be just be nice, calm
- 7:18down. Don't, don't hit the send send
- 7:20button. Retrack your, your main stuff.
- 7:24It's we're talking about stuff, people.
- 7:27We're talking about stuff we don't know each other on social
- 7:31media, but when we see each other in real, it's like, oh
- 7:34man, he's nice and talks are normal.
- 7:36So I'd like to think I'm a nice person.
- 7:42So shout out to that guy that realized he was a Dick and when
- 7:49he saw me in real, he could he felt so apologetic that he was
- 7:53mean to me over his his feelings on NASCAR.
- 7:56Imagine that. All right, Jake Paul and Mike
- 8:03Tyson. I see so many people out there
- 8:08looking at that the wrong way. Jake Paul is brilliant.
- 8:14This guy, whether you whether you like, whether you like how
- 8:22he looks, got the blonde hair, got all the jewelry.
- 8:26Some people got it figured out. You know, Jake Paul made $40
- 8:30million and Mike Tyson made 20 million.
- 8:36You know, some things when when life changes, people just get
- 8:39good at it. Jake Paul figured out YouTube
- 8:44before anybody did, making millions and millions of dollars
- 8:48and Craig's and he creates characters.
- 8:51And I wonder what Jake Paul's like in Rio.
- 8:54I bet he's constantly thinking of of what what type of show to
- 8:57make. This guy figured out how to get
- 9:01Netflix to pay him $40 million and he was more crazy about it.
- 9:07Everybody bit for it. But I look at it as Jake Paul
- 9:11put $20 million in Mike Tyson's bank account.
- 9:17I guarantee Mike Tyson is is grateful as anybody in life.
- 9:22Mike Tyson gets all over social media, makes a beautiful post.
- 9:26Yesterday he goes, yesterday's fight was a big win for me, he
- 9:33wrote. It was a beautiful story.
- 9:36I'm sure you've all read it. Mike Tyson physically has been
- 9:39roughed up and about died and you know, had several pints or
- 9:45quarts of blood put in him. So it's funny because I'm a 58
- 9:51year old man and I'm thinking, damn, I'm 61.
- 9:54It's funny when people say their age.
- 9:56I'm like, I'm 61. I'm still digging.
- 9:59But Mike Tyson just about met death.
- 10:03So here he was got children now that he said my kids watched me
- 10:07fight, went toe to toe for, you know, 8 rounds and make 20
- 10:13million bucks. And I think what was more
- 10:15amazing about the Mike Tyson and the Jake Paul fight is how many
- 10:20people watched. I told Billy Smith, Billy said,
- 10:24man, I don't know about that fight.
- 10:26I said, Billy, stop thinking like that.
- 10:29That wasn't a fight. That was entertainment.
- 10:33It is funny how people will bike for things.
- 10:36It's like, you know, I only went one through 12.
- 10:40I did. I only went one through 12 and
- 10:42ID bullshit so fast. Me and Terry Phillips were
- 10:45talking last night. Terry, come up to the trailer.
- 10:49It was real nice of him. That's his hometown.
- 10:52And I said, you know, Terry, the reason you and I turned out so
- 10:55good is because your dad was mean and my dad and my brother
- 10:59are mean. I said when we grew up around
- 11:03mean people, we just D bullshit everything.
- 11:06We're always on defense. You can't get US ever.
- 11:10So I see people that are naive. They're like, oh, the Drake
- 11:14Paul, the Mike Tyson. I'm like, come over here, let me
- 11:17slap you. Do you not understand?
- 11:19That was not that was not real. That wasn't it.
- 11:23That was entertainment. And like Mike Tyson said, went
- 11:27to Dallas. The damn, I mean, they filled
- 11:30the place up. It was theatrical.
- 11:34They had it all planned out. People now they like shows.
- 11:38That was a show. You got a 58 year old man and a
- 11:4225 year old man or 30, whatever. That's not real.
- 11:47Come on. Like Mike Tyson said, I'm 58 and
- 11:52Jake Paul's 25, whatever. They don't, they don't do that
- 11:56in real boxing. Everybody.
- 11:59All right, so much more to say, but we have 12 minutes and thank
- 12:04you everybody in Springfield Raceway.
- 12:06Thank you Jerry Hoffman, thank you to everybody that come up to
- 12:09me about coffee with Kenny. And, you know, we got a lot of
- 12:14other shows. All right, Schrader myself,
- 12:18We'll be back up tomorrow. Herman Schrader, check this out.
