- 0:00Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show Live from ther Life Back Studios.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Well, I got a lot going on. Hey, if you're
- 0:12Speaker 2: just joining us, this is the second hour you have
- 0:14Speaker 2: missed the first hour. We start nine o'clock now every morning,
- 0:18Speaker 2: nine to noon, every day nine am till noon. So
- 0:21Speaker 2: welcome to our number two. The big news, Doctor Anthony
- 0:25Speaker 2: Fauci is now in contempt of Congress and a referral
- 0:29Speaker 2: has been made to the Justice Department. That's good news,
- 0:33Speaker 2: so they will now normally when they refer something to
- 0:37Speaker 2: Justice from that doesn't mean anything's gonna happen. But remember
- 0:40Speaker 2: this is the Trump Justice Department, so they could start
- 0:44Speaker 2: looking into Anthony Fauci. Could get very serious, very fast.
- 0:48Speaker 2: The other thing going on is the committee has gotten
- 0:51Speaker 2: hold of his cell phone, the one he used during
- 0:54Speaker 2: the pandemic. That's while he was the director of the
- 0:57Speaker 2: National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. That's the phone
- 1:03Speaker 2: he used while he was running things in the pandemic.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I guess when he left the government he had to
- 1:07Speaker 2: turn it back in. And you might be saying to yourself, well,
- 1:12Speaker 2: he'll be careful. He wouldn't be texting. He wouldn't text
- 1:15Speaker 2: certain things. He wouldn't put that in writing. Well, I
- 1:17Speaker 2: don't know. This is the idiot that kept a diary
- 1:20Speaker 2: and put it in his government computer, which is why
- 1:23Speaker 2: the Secretary of Health, Bobby Kennedy was able to dig
- 1:28Speaker 2: it out off the server and get it and release it.
- 1:31Speaker 2: So in the coming weeks, expect to see all the
- 1:35Speaker 2: texts of Anthony Fauci. We know he was fawning all
- 1:39Speaker 2: over certain celebrities. We know he was busy trying to
- 1:44Speaker 2: court all the fake news anchors. But you're going to
- 1:47Speaker 2: start to see a lot of texts coming out. This
- 1:49Speaker 2: is going to get very bad for Anthony Fauci. The
- 1:53Speaker 2: Florida Attorney General has issued a subpoena against him. They're
- 1:58Speaker 2: investigating lot of stuff. The rest of the year, we're
- 2:01Speaker 2: going to be having quite a lot of fun looking
- 2:05Speaker 2: at the little worm, Anthony Fauci. So that's something to
- 2:09Speaker 2: look forward to. Hey, it's going to be very humid today.
- 2:13Speaker 2: It's going to be very humid. Tomorrow, it's going to
- 2:15Speaker 2: be very humid Saturday. I remember all the blizzards of
- 2:20Speaker 2: the winter, how he waited and waited for summer, and
- 2:22Speaker 2: it's here. It's not been a great summer. I mean,
- 2:24Speaker 2: one week you can't go out because the Canadian wildfire smoke.
- 2:28Speaker 2: The next week you can't go out as a heat wave,
- 2:30Speaker 2: remember was one hundred degrees and the real feel was
- 2:33Speaker 2: one hundred and ten. Then there was another week where
- 2:35Speaker 2: it kept raining. This has not been the greatest summer.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I never thought i'd say it, but I'm just waiting
- 2:40Speaker 2: for full, just waiting for full. So it's going to
- 2:43Speaker 2: be a hot, sticky weekend. Hey, in Michigan, that El
- 2:47Speaker 2: Sayad has won the Democratic primary. So what is he
- 2:50Speaker 2: doing now? He's the commie, anti Semitic, disgusting else, doctor
- 2:56Speaker 2: Abdul el Sayad. He's now busy trying to scramble to
- 3:01Speaker 2: the center to pretend he's some sort of moderate Democrat.
- 3:07Speaker 2: He's even the opponent who was a normal, normal Democrat.
- 3:12Speaker 2: He's trying to get her to campaign with him. I
- 3:15Speaker 2: don't think it's going to happen. Here's lsay Id last night.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And we're gonna build a movement that reaches out to everybody.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I know not everybody's gonna agree with me on everything.
- 3:22Speaker 2: That's not how this works.
- 3:24Speaker 1: But I do know that they agree with me on
- 3:26Speaker 1: the need to beat Mike.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Rogers, Well, I don't know if they're can agree on
- 3:30Speaker 2: the no police, no bail, no jail. I don't know
- 3:33Speaker 2: if they're can agree on the anti Israel, anti Semitic stuff.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:37Speaker 1: What we showed is that if you're willing to build
- 3:39Speaker 1: a movement brick by brick, if you're willing to go
- 3:41Speaker 1: and travel your state and have the conversations in rooms
- 3:44Speaker 1: big and small, starting in moments when people aren't even
- 3:46Speaker 1: paying attention to an election, but are paying attention to
- 3:49Speaker 1: the price of gas and the price of groceries, and
- 3:51Speaker 1: the price of housing and the price of health care,
- 3:53Speaker 1: that you can build a conversation that builds into a
- 3:55Speaker 1: movement that defeats Goliath.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Guy. You see you build a converse. Yeah, Now, that
- 4:00Speaker 2: builds into a movement, and then that builds into an alliance.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And that what's the old saying in Washington. Whatever begins
- 4:09Speaker 2: as a movement always turns into a business and then
- 4:15Speaker 2: eventually becomes a racket. So I think that's what this
- 4:18Speaker 2: is all about here now, this whole movement of whatever
- 4:21Speaker 2: they're talking about, Mom, Donnie, same thing he's been talking
- 4:27Speaker 2: about it. He thinks this is it what we.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Have seen is despite him facing more than sixty million
- 4:32Speaker 3: dollars in outside spending, he was able to prevail with
- 4:36Speaker 3: a focus on a cost of living crisis and the
- 4:39Speaker 3: way in which healthcare is exceedingly out of reach for
- 4:43Speaker 3: those who have helped him make this country what it is.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the problem. They spent a fortune. He was
- 4:47Speaker 2: outspent eleven to one, elsyid. But he's like a mom, Donnie.
- 4:51Speaker 2: These guys have a way about them. They have like
- 4:54Speaker 2: some kind of magic spell over the craziest voters out there,
- 4:58Speaker 2: and they win them over and get enough just to
- 5:00Speaker 2: put them over the top. The Republican candidate in Michigan
- 5:03Speaker 2: for Senate will be Mike Rodgers, longtime congressman, military Veterineers Rogers.
- 5:08Speaker 4: I'm telling you, this is about the heart and soul
- 5:10Speaker 4: of our country. The whole country is looking at us
- 5:15Speaker 4: here in Michigan. They're looking at you, and they're hoping
- 5:19Speaker 4: we do everything that we can do together to make
- 5:23Speaker 4: sure that we stop this in its tracks.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Now, Michigan be the place to do it. This
- 5:28Speaker 2: is not California, it's not New York City. This is
- 5:30Speaker 2: the heartland of America. That's where you want to stop
- 5:34Speaker 2: this crazy stuff. Now, the CNN pollster, we always go
- 5:40Speaker 2: to him because you got to figure he's biased to
- 5:45Speaker 2: the left. So even if he can't stand Democrats, I mean,
- 5:49Speaker 2: he's the polsty He's been pretty honest, this guy. You know,
- 5:53Speaker 2: when they talk about Trump's approval rating, it's only about
- 5:55Speaker 2: forty five. He's one of the points that, Yeah, democrats
- 5:59Speaker 2: are about nineteen their approval rating. It's much much lower
- 6:02Speaker 2: than Trump's. But here's the CNN poster on abdul l.
- 6:07Speaker 5: Ellie Stevens did particularly well in this corridor.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Haley Stevens is the normal common sense Democrat and she
- 6:15Speaker 2: was running against Elsaya, and she did well in a
- 6:19Speaker 2: lot of places.
- 6:20Speaker 5: Ellie Stevens did particularly well in this corridor. And what's
- 6:24Speaker 5: in this corridor. Well, there are a lot of working
- 6:26Speaker 5: class voters and a lot of African American voters. Abdul
- 6:30Speaker 5: Asaya did very poorly amongst these groups in the primary.
- 6:33Speaker 5: It's going to be very interesting to see whether or
- 6:36Speaker 5: not he can bring them into the tent come the
- 6:38Speaker 5: general election, bring those swing voters with them, because where
- 6:41Speaker 5: Abdul Asaya did well. To be honest with you, we're
- 6:44Speaker 5: really just college towns.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Now that's the thing. The Democrats going so far
- 6:50Speaker 2: to the left, getting so crazy, pushed the working people
- 6:54Speaker 2: over to the Republicans. A lot of black voters have
- 6:57Speaker 2: gone over to the other side. Now, remember Michigan. He's
- 7:00Speaker 2: talking about Detroit, Michigan. Much of Michigan's auto plants, factories,
- 7:04Speaker 2: a lot of working people there, and they've been pushed
- 7:06Speaker 2: over to the Republicans. Here's an actual Michigan voter, welseyat Wins.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I will not vote Democrat. I'll switch over and I'll
- 7:12Speaker 2: vote for a candidate with character, whoever that might be.
- 7:16Speaker 2: You're gonna hear a lot of that. A lot of
- 7:17Speaker 2: that is going to happen. So it's going to be
- 7:19Speaker 2: the interesting test case of the crazy. He's taken over
- 7:23Speaker 2: the Democratic Party. So he John Stewart, you know, sometimes
- 7:29Speaker 2: he used to be like Bill Maher, where he was
- 7:31Speaker 2: very left wings, but once in a while he'd makes
- 7:34Speaker 2: some sense, or once in a while he could be
- 7:36Speaker 2: the voice of reason. Not anymore. He's on his podcast.
- 7:40Speaker 2: He's got John Fetterman, Senator John Fetterman, demanding that he
- 7:45Speaker 2: condemn Israel's treatment of Palestinians and Fetterman refused to do it,
- 7:51Speaker 2: and rightfully so, and Stuart I never realized he's Jewish too,
- 7:56Speaker 2: isn't he? But I didn't realize how anti semitic he
- 7:58Speaker 2: can get anti Israels. But Stuart demanded that he condemn Israel.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Stuart asked Fedterment over and over again, if you classify
- 8:08Speaker 2: all of Israel's conduct in the regime as self defense?
- 8:13Speaker 2: And Fetterman said, yeah, just destroying their enemies, Yeah, that's
- 8:16Speaker 2: self defense. And then Stuart really getting ugly about it.
- 8:20Speaker 2: How about flattening a tiny area, pushing two million people
- 8:25Speaker 2: into a territory, having a siege of that area, is
- 8:27Speaker 2: that self defense? No, admitted Fetterman. What I'm saying is
- 8:31Speaker 2: it's like people like you forgetting that Hamas were rapist,
- 8:36Speaker 2: terrorizing and killing civilians two hundred and fifty, stole two
- 8:40Speaker 2: hundred and fifty people from their families, kept them underground,
- 8:43Speaker 2: brutalized them, rape them, starved them for two years. That's
- 8:47Speaker 2: what you're defending, Stuart, I wouldn't hear of it, just
- 8:49Speaker 2: wanted to condemn Israel, said the killing are tens of
- 8:53Speaker 2: thousands of children under What the hell he's talking about?
- 8:56Speaker 2: Absolutely ridiculous, but Stuart now joining the anti Smitic anti
- 9:03Speaker 2: it's basically white supremacy. If you study white supremacy, one
- 9:07Speaker 2: of its core principles is anti Semitism. And remember when
- 9:10Speaker 2: it comes to these Democratic socialists, it's anti Semitism. That's
- 9:17Speaker 2: just the opening chapter. Next thing, you know, it's anti Catholic,
- 9:19Speaker 2: next thing you know, it's anti America, it's anti everybody.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So but again we've seen it rise up before. It
- 9:29Speaker 2: usually dies out pretty fast, let's just hope. So when
- 9:33Speaker 2: you get your Amazon packages, they seem pretty good, except
- 9:37Speaker 2: once in a while you get one that seems a
- 9:40Speaker 2: little dented, smashed or crushed a little or something. So
- 9:44Speaker 2: there's one Amazon driver who was delivering packages somewhere and
- 9:50Speaker 2: it was in Florida. Actually, yeah, it was in Florida.
- 9:53Speaker 2: It was very hot. But you know a lot of
- 9:55Speaker 2: people have these doorbell cameras and ring cameras and all
- 9:58Speaker 2: those stuff, so they recording stuff all day long. So
- 10:02Speaker 2: the guy checked it and he saw that the Amazon
- 10:05Speaker 2: driver started to walk towards his house and then from
- 10:09Speaker 2: about i don't know, twenty five feet away through the
- 10:12Speaker 2: package hurled it at the porch. And if you're auditioning
- 10:17Speaker 2: as a pitcher. It was pretty good. It landed right
- 10:19Speaker 2: on the porch from like twenty five feet away. But
- 10:22Speaker 2: if that's your thing that you ordered in that box,
- 10:24Speaker 2: you don't want it tossed around like that. So he
- 10:27Speaker 2: released the video. It went viral. Amazon has been contacted
- 10:32Speaker 2: said this video does not reflect the standards we have
- 10:35Speaker 2: for our delivery partners, and we're looking into it. Yeah. Well,
- 10:39Speaker 2: most of these drivers have nothing to do with Amazon.
- 10:41Speaker 2: They work for a delivery company that's contracted by Amazon.
- 10:45Speaker 2: And the guy was pretty nice about it. He said,
- 10:50Speaker 2: maybe it was the summer heat in the Sunshine State,
- 10:53Speaker 2: must have been too much to take a few extra
- 10:56Speaker 2: steps and actually walk to the door. But more and
- 11:01Speaker 2: more people are gonna have these cameras, so if you're
- 11:02Speaker 2: an Amazon driver, you got to start realizing you're going
- 11:06Speaker 2: to be on video with whatever you do. Now. In
- 11:09Speaker 2: the subways, remember they used to have a news stand,
- 11:13Speaker 2: and the newsstands sold newspapers, and you get on the
- 11:17Speaker 2: subway and everybody was reading the newspaper, and they sold
- 11:21Speaker 2: candy bars and all that stuff, but it was mostly
- 11:23Speaker 2: the newspapers. And well, there's no more newspapers. I mean,
- 11:25Speaker 2: it's I don't know why they still print some of
- 11:28Speaker 2: these things. But nobody reads a print newspaper anymore. It's
- 11:32Speaker 2: like a half a one percent still does. So what
- 11:35Speaker 2: are you selling these newsstands? There's really not much to do.
- 11:38Speaker 2: And it was always, you know, a guy behind the
- 11:41Speaker 2: counter you had to talk to and he never spoke English,
- 11:43Speaker 2: and you had to tell them what you want. And well,
- 11:46Speaker 2: they got rid of all those, but they places all
- 11:49Speaker 2: the subway stations where the news stand was, there's a
- 11:51Speaker 2: big empty space there. So they're putting in vending machines.
- 11:55Speaker 2: They're now going to have vending machines in the subway station.
- 11:58Speaker 2: A lot of them are coke machines, Coca cult but
- 12:01Speaker 2: they'll sell Coca cola, they'll sell soft drinks, they'll sell
- 12:04Speaker 2: candy and that sort of stuff. Most people think it's okay. Now.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Of course, wherever the vending machine is, you're gonna have
- 12:12Speaker 2: ten homeless guys sleeping in front of it, and you'll
- 12:15Speaker 2: have to reach over them. The other thing is, if
- 12:17Speaker 2: you get something that gets stuck halfway down coming out,
- 12:21Speaker 2: who do you talk to. There's nobody in these subway
- 12:23Speaker 2: stations anymore. Nobody really works there anymore. Other commuters worried
- 12:29Speaker 2: that these machines will become targets and criminals. But they're
- 12:33Speaker 2: going to put them all through the subway system and
- 12:38Speaker 2: you never know. You know, there's never enough waste baskets
- 12:40Speaker 2: for all this stuff, but expect those to start appearing
- 12:43Speaker 2: pretty soon. And you know this if you live long
- 12:48Speaker 2: enough to get to the machine. Although most of these
- 12:49Speaker 2: subways are doing pretty well right now. A New York
- 12:55Speaker 2: City hospitals doing very well. They do this big survey
- 12:59Speaker 2: US News and World War every year. They does this
- 13:01Speaker 2: the best hospitals in America. Guess who won? Guess who?
- 13:05Speaker 2: The best hospitals in America? NYU and Land Gone, Mount Sinai,
- 13:10Speaker 2: New York Presbyterian Hospital. That's Columbia and Cornell. Best hospitals
- 13:15Speaker 2: doing very, very very well. Now when you go out
- 13:19Speaker 2: to the suburbs of New York, NYU, land goone does
- 13:23Speaker 2: very well because they're all over the suburbs out there.
- 13:26Speaker 2: The other big hospitals top ones Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic,
- 13:31Speaker 2: Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles, Mass General in Boston. Long
- 13:37Speaker 2: Island did pretty well. Well. NYU Lang Goon now all
- 13:42Speaker 2: over Long Island. In fact, they're building a huge hospital
- 13:45Speaker 2: in Melville pretty soon, so you're going to get and
- 13:48Speaker 2: getting better and better care in the suburbs. Now you're
- 13:52Speaker 2: thinking of going to the south of France San Trope. Nope,
- 13:55Speaker 2: stay the hell out of there. It's a mess right now. Apparently.
- 13:59Speaker 2: You know, the problem is Instagram. When something gets hot
- 14:03Speaker 2: on Instagram, everybody descends on it. You know, there could
- 14:06Speaker 2: be a little restaurant, a little neighborhood restaurant, there could
- 14:08Speaker 2: be a little pizza place you like, and all of
- 14:10Speaker 2: a sudden it goes big on Instagram with influencers. Next
- 14:14Speaker 2: thing you know, there's lines around the block all day
- 14:16Speaker 2: and night. It becomes a mess. It's great for the
- 14:19Speaker 2: store or the business, but it becomes a mess. So
- 14:22Speaker 2: apparently it wasn't just a certain pizza place. It wasn't
- 14:26Speaker 2: just dot Cake this time. It was santro Pez. You know,
- 14:29Speaker 2: get these young Instagram influencers and they really never went
- 14:34Speaker 2: to the South of France before, but all of a
- 14:36Speaker 2: sudden they found out about santro Pez. It's all over Instagram.
- 14:40Speaker 2: People around there now are furious. You can't move there.
- 14:43Speaker 2: It's crowded with the worst kind of tourists, you know,
- 14:46Speaker 2: like people don't really it's not like James Bond and
- 14:49Speaker 2: Bridget Bardow and all the old santra Pez crowd. It's
- 14:52Speaker 2: a bunch of young, screaming kids who don't really spend
- 14:55Speaker 2: a lot of money, just just clogging the whole place up.
- 14:59Speaker 2: They don't know what to do about it or how
- 15:00Speaker 2: to get rid of them. But locals are saying it's
- 15:04Speaker 2: like Locus. It's like being invaded by Locus. Hey, we'll
- 15:07Speaker 2: take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three two
- 15:10Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three
- 15:14Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten. Hey, I don't forget. We're
- 15:18Speaker 2: starting early now. The show's now three hours, so it's
- 15:21Speaker 2: nine to noon every day, nine o'clock till noon every
- 15:24Speaker 2: day here on seven ten WR
