- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
- 0:05Speaker 1: The rex was not chasing the jeep. Murray, Murray, you there.
- 0:09Speaker 1: You love sandwiches. Huh, Let's go to eighty. It was
- 0:14Speaker 1: bo wow that Prime time. Maybe I had a crush
- 0:18Speaker 1: on Betty Rubbell.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I honestly, until after the segment ended and we went
- 0:22Speaker 2: to a commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan Coachman
- 0:25Speaker 2: was black.
- 0:25Speaker 1: He caught them the game last night, although they won
- 0:28Speaker 1: the game. You're listening to to Gotson Company.
- 0:32Speaker 2: It is to gots and Company, presented by FanDuel and
- 0:34Speaker 2: the FanDuel's Sports Book.
- 0:35Speaker 1: We start today with lottery tickets?
- 0:38Speaker 3: Is he?
- 0:39Speaker 1: What is going on in South Florida.
- 0:40Speaker 2: We'll get to a sports picture that Taylor's been talking about.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I want to get Ezzy's.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Level of concern that the Philadelphia seventy six ers appeared
- 0:48Speaker 2: to be making the biggest push here to get.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Lebron James ticket. Yeah, what's going on.
- 0:58Speaker 2: With lottery down in South florid or Because, as you know,
- 1:00Speaker 2: a frequent player of the of the lottery.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Yeah, just before we started here, I just saw the
- 1:06Speaker 3: second story that I've seen in a couple of weeks
- 1:09Speaker 3: about a winning lottery ticket bought at a publix in
- 1:13Speaker 3: South Florida, and I'm like, that used to be my move,
- 1:17Speaker 3: randomly buying lottery tickets from publics as I was leaving
- 1:20Speaker 3: the place and just stashing them away in the car.
- 1:22Speaker 3: And then one day maybe, hey, look at this a
- 1:24Speaker 3: million dollars. And so there was a story a couple
- 1:27Speaker 3: of weeks ago about an unclaimed ticket from bought from
- 1:30Speaker 3: a publix, winning ticket bought from a publix like just
- 1:33Speaker 3: a little bit south of me, and I was like,
- 1:35Speaker 3: I missed my chance. All these years I've been doing it,
- 1:37Speaker 3: and I just haven't been doing it over the last
- 1:39Speaker 3: you know, few years, and now I feel like other
- 1:41Speaker 3: people are taking my money. That's what it is.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I feel like there should be no winning lottery tickets.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I thought that was the case, being distributed at publics.
- 1:49Speaker 2: You gotta go find like a special plate.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Now I'd start thinking that. No.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I used to think the same way. But now, like
- 1:59Speaker 3: when these places they know that they sold the winning ticket,
- 2:03Speaker 3: so they would advertise the but Jesus out of it,
- 2:05Speaker 3: they'd say, fifteen million dollar tickets sold here. I have
- 2:08Speaker 3: yet to see that at a little little gas station anywhere.
- 2:11Speaker 3: So I feel like that theory is completely out the window.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Yeah, to be clear, you want publics to be able
- 2:17Speaker 4: to sell lottery tickets, but you don't want them to
- 2:19Speaker 4: be able to sell winning lottery tickets.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Well, it just doesn't feel like a place where you
- 2:22Speaker 2: would purchase a winning lottery ticket, That's all I think.
- 2:25Speaker 1: That's what God is you're saying.
- 2:26Speaker 2: And the reason they don't splash it all over the
- 2:28Speaker 2: place want you buy the winning lottery ticket from that place,
- 2:31Speaker 2: is they want you to come back. They don't want
- 2:33Speaker 2: you to know they just sold a winning lottery ticket
- 2:35Speaker 2: because the chances of them selling two in a short
- 2:37Speaker 2: period of time are very unlikely.
- 2:40Speaker 3: You know, well, I mean, but why would I mean,
- 2:42Speaker 3: I would just do it anyway, just for the local fame,
- 2:44Speaker 3: because you're not going to get another one, so you
- 2:45Speaker 3: might as well just advertise it. But you could still
- 2:49Speaker 3: like all those gas stations, they still advertise the scratch
- 2:51Speaker 3: off winners, like, oh, ten thousand dollars winners sold here,
- 2:54Speaker 3: twenty thousand dollars winters sold here, People keep buying those.
- 2:57Speaker 2: If I owned the store that had the winning lottery ticket,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I would advertise still the next day.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Like, let's say someone won it yesterday.
- 3:05Speaker 2: The next day, my advertisement would be, no one has
- 3:07Speaker 2: won the lottery here in fifteen years.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Yeah. But I feel like lotto players are people that
- 3:13Speaker 5: are not going to change what they do no matter what. Like,
- 3:16Speaker 5: if you buy your tickets at this place, you are
- 3:18Speaker 5: not Oh, you just sold back to back winning tickets.
- 3:21Speaker 5: I'm still going to keep going there.
- 3:24Speaker 4: I feel like everybody that I've ever seen buy a
- 3:27Speaker 4: lotto ticket looks exactly like Stu guys.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yes, and it's.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Like the lotto ticket cigarettes is a package deal almost.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yeah it is.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Yes, Well they're so close in proximity in the store. Yes,
- 3:39Speaker 2: So you're right.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I mean, you can't buy one without the other. Put
- 3:41Speaker 1: it on the poll. Can you buy one without the other? Dude?
- 3:45Speaker 3: If I was the owner of a small gas station
- 3:48Speaker 3: or whatever convenience store that sold the winning ticket, I
- 3:51Speaker 3: wouldn't say a word. I would befriend everybody that walked
- 3:55Speaker 3: through that door and just figure out one of them's
- 3:57Speaker 3: got to be it, and just become best friends and
- 3:59Speaker 3: be like they're gonna let it slip, right. The persons
- 4:02Speaker 3: gonna come back to be like I might be moving
- 4:05Speaker 3: soon or and then you just got to a friend
- 4:09Speaker 3: him in that way, you've got a millionaire as the
- 4:10Speaker 3: best friend.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Like I need to find look like me. I mean.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Just just a little rough around the edges, maybe a
- 4:18Speaker 4: little unshaved, unkept, and then the cigarettes to go.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Kind of looks like he goes fishing but doesn't go fishing.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Kind of looks like he's a golfer.
- 4:26Speaker 2: But right, so it looks like me, or smells like me,
- 4:30Speaker 2: or a combination above it.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a little it's a little pit of poison.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, well, thank you guys. I love you too.
- 4:40Speaker 1: My uncle doesn't look like him.
- 4:42Speaker 3: He won the lottery?
- 4:43Speaker 1: Did he really crazy? Yeah? How much? How much do
- 4:46Speaker 1: you mind? Fifteen point seven fifteen point seven million? Wow?
- 4:52Speaker 3: I bet it.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Why he's broken because everyone coming out of the wor
- 5:00Speaker 2: what worked as his third cousin, I mean, that's crazy.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Yep, that's nineteen eight.
- 5:06Speaker 3: I think he did it. He gave me a million,
- 5:08Speaker 3: my best friend growing up. His uncle won the Connecticut
- 5:12Speaker 3: lottery nine million at the time, which was a while back,
- 5:15Speaker 3: which is a lot and man were they're tight asses
- 5:17Speaker 3: about it, not sharing with anybody, right, which is why
- 5:22Speaker 3: they're not unlike Mikey's uncle.
- 5:23Speaker 1: They're still doing.
- 5:24Speaker 3: They're still doing.
- 5:25Speaker 5: Just my brother. My uncle was is my brother's godfather,
- 5:31Speaker 5: and he was all excited. He was like, my godfather
- 5:33Speaker 5: just want I'm going to be taking care of He
- 5:35Speaker 5: gave him his old van. He gave him his old van.
- 5:40Speaker 1: He didn't buy him anything new. He just gave but
- 5:43Speaker 1: he gave him his nineteen eighty four van. Yes, he
- 5:46Speaker 1: just got rid of his garbage. He gave it to a.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Family member that he wanted the van pre lottery.
- 5:55Speaker 3: I'm a family member. You want to win the lottery
- 5:57Speaker 3: because I'm just giving.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It all the way right, Willy Nilly, I don't think
- 6:02Speaker 1: you are. I really I'll keep a little bit. Four
- 6:05Speaker 1: of us. It would be the loosest with winning the
- 6:08Speaker 1: lottery of the four of us.
- 6:09Speaker 3: What do you consider loose? Because what I'm considering is
- 6:11Speaker 3: you know, nice.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Listen, if I if I was lucky enough to win
- 6:17Speaker 2: the lottery, I would call each of you guys. Let's
- 6:20Speaker 2: say it's thirty million dollars. Okay, let's make it Mikey's
- 6:23Speaker 2: uncle fifteen point nine million dollars. I feel like at
- 6:29Speaker 2: fifteen point nine million dollars, for everything that you guys
- 6:32Speaker 2: have done for I would give you. I would break
- 6:34Speaker 2: off at least a million dollars for each of you.
- 6:37Speaker 2: How about that, so that I'm down to twelve nine
- 6:40Speaker 2: and I'm Mikey's uncle in a couple of years, how
- 6:42Speaker 2: about that.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I got you, dude, I'll put away a little bit
- 6:46Speaker 3: and I'll be like, you know, in a couple of years, Dude,
- 6:48Speaker 3: it's gonna be broke. He's gonna need some of his back.
- 6:51Speaker 3: I'll put it in a little account for you.
- 6:53Speaker 1: That's why you're such a good guy.
- 6:55Speaker 2: So you would take the million that I gave you
- 6:57Speaker 2: for free and reinvest it for me. And I run
- 7:00Speaker 2: out of money, I still have something. Is what you're
- 7:02Speaker 2: saying exactly, I'd give you five million for that?
- 7:05Speaker 5: I think is he just answered the question without answering
- 7:07Speaker 5: the question. Izz he would be the best one of
- 7:09Speaker 5: the four of us to win the lotto, because even
- 7:12Speaker 5: when you give him money, he's giving it back to
- 7:14Speaker 5: you later.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I don't think Taylor believes me. You know, I believe you.
- 7:20Speaker 4: I was putting my hand up because I'm'm obviously surrounded
- 7:24Speaker 4: by a bunch of generous people. Because if I hit
- 7:26Speaker 4: the lottery. I never see you, hear from me, you
- 7:29Speaker 4: never see you again? Yeah, for again, I'm gonna buy
- 7:32Speaker 4: a boat and I'm gonna live on the water for
- 7:33Speaker 4: the rest of Really that goal interesting.
- 7:37Speaker 2: I'm fifteen point nine million, You're buying a boat. You're
- 7:40Speaker 2: forgetting about us, Goodbye to all of us. We'll never
- 7:43Speaker 2: speak to you again. At fifteen. I think it needs
- 7:45Speaker 2: to be more than that. You're gonna need me again someday.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I mean, seriously, man, I had you just moving to
- 7:50Speaker 3: North Carolina and just being like the biggest man on
- 7:53Speaker 3: campus and just living the rest of your life there.
- 7:55Speaker 1: But the word with the house of the Outer Bank
- 7:57Speaker 1: somewhere right.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Yeah, fifteen million dollar in terms of nil money at
- 8:01Speaker 4: North Carolina is like I can maybe afford like a
- 8:04Speaker 4: backup shooting guard.
- 8:09Speaker 3: What are you doing with your money?
- 8:10Speaker 1: The Taylor Son.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Whenever the lotto gets really big, I one of my
- 8:19Speaker 5: favorite things to do is to ask people if I
- 8:21Speaker 5: win this lottery, you know, one point seven billion, whatever
- 8:24Speaker 5: it gets to, and I go, I never want to
- 8:26Speaker 5: speak to any of you again. But because you've done
- 8:29Speaker 5: you've been part of my life. I'm going to bring
- 8:32Speaker 5: you in one at a time. And I'm going to say,
- 8:33Speaker 5: you can ask me for anything, one thing up to
- 8:36Speaker 5: fifty grand, but you can't ask me for money.
- 8:39Speaker 3: What are you asking me for?
- 8:40Speaker 5: And it's always interesting because boring people give boring answers
- 8:45Speaker 5: and crazy people give crazy answers.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Well why why not money though, because then it's it's boring.
- 8:52Speaker 3: That's boring, okay, which I mean I would just ask
- 8:56Speaker 3: for something that doesn't drop in value, like an expensive watch,
- 8:59Speaker 3: and and sell it immediately, So it really it's just
- 9:02Speaker 3: I'm becoming a Miniman.
- 9:05Speaker 2: A watch. Wait, we'll put it on a pole tailor
- 9:11Speaker 2: in any world. Just fifty thousand dollars boring? I mean no,
- 9:15Speaker 2: I would let me spend it out.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I want to spend it.
- 9:17Speaker 5: If you're doing fifty grand, this is this is how
- 9:21Speaker 5: I get to like have fun with my money.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Go ahead, giving you fifty grand.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree with Mikey in that sense where it's
- 9:29Speaker 4: like he's not giving you fifty k just to give
- 9:32Speaker 4: you fifty k. He's giving you fifty k to spend
- 9:34Speaker 4: out a store. It's like it's like taking a kid
- 9:37Speaker 4: to a store and telling them they could spend one
- 9:38Speaker 4: hundred dollars and your kid turns to you and says, well, actually,
- 9:41Speaker 4: can I just keep the one hundred dollars and I
- 9:43Speaker 4: want to reinvest in. It's like, no, we're at the
- 9:44Speaker 4: toy store. Buy some damn toys.
- 9:46Speaker 1: No, I can't stand that guy.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Like, if you're gonna help the homeless, okay, like don't judge, okay,
- 9:51Speaker 2: Like I hate the people.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Who help the homeless.
- 9:53Speaker 2: And they say, hey, I'm not going to give you
- 9:54Speaker 2: money but to walk you into this restaurant and buy
- 9:56Speaker 2: you lunch. Get the hell out of here. Give him
- 9:58Speaker 2: ten bucks or her ten bucks, and let that figure
- 10:00Speaker 2: out how they want to spend it. They want to
- 10:02Speaker 2: spend it on a bottle of wine and a pack
- 10:03Speaker 2: of smoke, so be it.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I mean, that's up to them.
- 10:05Speaker 3: If they want to spend it on a drug that
- 10:07Speaker 3: makes them escape their shitty lives for fifteen minutes, they
- 10:10Speaker 3: can do that too.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I mean, they don't want your tunea salad sandwich, Get
- 10:14Speaker 2: out of here.
- 10:16Speaker 5: All I hear is Stu Gott says, no idea, what
- 10:17Speaker 5: to ask me for for fifty grand?
- 10:19Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all I hear.
- 10:21Speaker 3: He's gonna ask for a golf championship somewhere. I want
- 10:23Speaker 3: to fifty grand.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Is he going fifty grand possession? I think I would
- 10:29Speaker 4: go fifty grand experienceperience one thousand percent, whether it's like
- 10:35Speaker 4: courtside at a great game, front row at a great game,
- 10:39Speaker 4: or maybe an all expenses paid trip somewhere to like Europe.
- 10:43Speaker 3: You know how long of the cruise you can go
- 10:45Speaker 3: on for fifty grand.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I hate cruises.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah, he does, he just said. But he just said
- 10:51Speaker 2: if he won the lottery, he'd buy a boat and
- 10:53Speaker 2: go sit.
- 10:53Speaker 4: The like if I was the captain of my boat
- 10:57Speaker 4: on my seat. Something about cruises grosses me out.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yeah, what is there any documentaries?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Fine?
- 11:04Speaker 4: Yeah, the poop cruise. It's just I hate to say it.
- 11:08Speaker 4: I just think I'm better than people that say cruises.
- 11:13Speaker 3: It sounded like you didn't hate to say that that much. Well,
- 11:16Speaker 3: there are smaller cruise lines. There are more quaint cruise
- 11:19Speaker 3: lines that doesn't include thousands of people there. I think
- 11:21Speaker 3: they're called We're better than you cruise lines.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Yes, yes, well no, it's the no kids cruise. That's
- 11:26Speaker 2: what it is, right, and it's worth its weighting goals.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I would pay fifty grand for it. That's what STU would, Dude,
- 11:34Speaker 2: take my kids. Keep it fifty for a week.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, Stuke Gott's here.
- 11:42Speaker 2: The biggest stage in world soccer is here, and every

- 13:07Speaker 7: he's concerned on the Philadelphia seventy six ers getting together
- 13:11Speaker 7: and trying to convince Lebron James to come.
- 13:13Speaker 1: To Philadelphia, he's holding up a zero right now?
- 13:17Speaker 2: What was the sports photo that you guys were discussing
- 13:20Speaker 2: something about Lionel Messi who plays today in the semi
- 13:23Speaker 2: FI said that name right by the way, I love Zaker.
- 13:25Speaker 1: No one has been all over this World Cup like
- 13:27Speaker 1: I have. I had Spain in the finals in my bracket.
- 13:30Speaker 1: How about that? Nice?
- 13:31Speaker 4: We are on a collision course with one of the
- 13:34Speaker 4: greatest sports photos of all time, because if Argentina wins,
- 13:38Speaker 4: it's going to be Argentina first spand in the finals
- 13:41Speaker 4: Leo Messi versus Lamina mal Laminia.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Malls yes, Leo no Menia, mall oh no no idea,
- 13:52Speaker 2: let's start.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Let's start there, Taylor, Lamina mal is a very special
- 13:55Speaker 3: player on the Spanish team. He just turned nineteen the
- 13:58Speaker 3: other day. He drew the pennel that got Spain in
- 14:00Speaker 3: their first goal. He has been on the team with
- 14:03Speaker 3: Spain that beat in France what three straight times?
- 14:05Speaker 1: Taylor, Yeah, he's like.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Their wonder kid.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Yeah, so he's he is, as many people call him
- 14:11Speaker 3: the next closest thing to Messi. I mean, nobody's going
- 14:13Speaker 3: to really make that leap until they see it for longer.
- 14:15Speaker 3: But yeah, that's who he is.
- 14:17Speaker 4: And Meminia Mal's club team is Barcelona, which was Leo
- 14:20Speaker 4: Messi's club team, so it kind of lends more to
- 14:24Speaker 4: that thought that he is the next Messi. Back in
- 14:27Speaker 4: two thousand and seven, there was an event where the
- 14:31Speaker 4: Yamal family won a raffle to have their child photographed
- 14:35Speaker 4: with a Barcelona player. Right, so you have a picture
- 14:39Speaker 4: of Lamina Maul as a baby being baptized or bathed
- 14:44Speaker 4: by Leo Messi.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Oh wow, and it's it's just a little.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Chubby Lamina Mal in a baptub being washed by Leo Messi.
- 14:54Speaker 4: And people are saying that that was the moment where
- 14:56Speaker 4: Lemina Maul's fate changed, where he got baptized by Leo
- 14:59Speaker 4: ma See, that was the moment he was promised to
- 15:02Speaker 4: be the next Leo Messi, and now we're one game
- 15:05Speaker 4: away from those two squaring off in the finals, and
- 15:08Speaker 4: it's like a passing of the torch moment.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Dude, to put it in uh goat terms that you
- 15:12Speaker 3: would understand, this was as if Michael Jordan in the
- 15:16Speaker 3: middle between Championships four and five, did a photo shoot
- 15:20Speaker 3: and baptized a young Lebron James in Akron, Ohio, and
- 15:24Speaker 3: then all of a sudden you realize, oh, this guy
- 15:26Speaker 3: is going to be the next great and it's just
- 15:28Speaker 3: wild to think about, because what a crazy coincidence, or
- 15:32Speaker 3: or Leo Messi actually blessed that dude with the ability
- 15:36Speaker 3: to do everything he's doing.
- 15:37Speaker 1: He's actually God, Yeah, the hand of God.
- 15:39Speaker 5: Yes, I'm just wondering if there's a picture somewhere of
- 15:42Speaker 5: Stu Gott's bathing's tailor.
- 15:46Speaker 6: Young baby Taylor, not.
- 15:48Speaker 1: That I know of.
- 15:49Speaker 3: I don't want to see that.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I put my hand on him, and you want to
- 15:55Speaker 1: take these take my son. He is the next two gods.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Congratulations, you won some sort of shitty lottery.
- 16:03Speaker 4: What I'm the most curious about when it comes to
- 16:06Speaker 4: this photo shoot. Back in two tho thousand and seven,
- 16:09Speaker 4: were there other babies that that MESSI was photograph photographed
- 16:13Speaker 4: with baptizing them also that we just never heard about
- 16:17Speaker 4: or never amounted to anything, or was this a one
- 16:19Speaker 4: time thing? And La Migna Maul was the only baby
- 16:22Speaker 4: baptized because this, this photographer, Joan Montfort, has only come
- 16:28Speaker 4: out and said, these are the only photos I got.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Right, if you're messy, you tell anyone, Hey, I only
- 16:33Speaker 2: touched one kid.
- 16:34Speaker 5: And.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Yes I'm doing.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Dude.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Not only did he bless him and become this this player.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Now imagine they're in the World Cup final against each other,
- 16:49Speaker 3: like it's it could will happen if Argentina wins. I
- 16:52Speaker 3: think England's gonna win. But if Argentina wins, that photo
- 16:56Speaker 3: will be on every television.
- 16:58Speaker 1: That's pretty cool.
- 16:59Speaker 2: That's it's it's actually a very cool story that they're
- 17:01Speaker 2: facing off in the World Cup final.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I mean, his whole life.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Is a cool story, like when he was the reason.
- 17:07Speaker 3: His name is lamin ya Mal. That's his first and
- 17:09Speaker 3: middle name, his last His two last names are his
- 17:12Speaker 3: father's last name and his mother's last name, which I
- 17:13Speaker 3: can't really pronounce right now, but lamin ya Mal he
- 17:16Speaker 3: was named after when his parents were younger before he
- 17:19Speaker 3: was born. They were struggling financially and two men, one
- 17:22Speaker 3: named Lamin and one named Jamal, helped them out, and
- 17:24Speaker 3: they said to thank them, we're going to name our
- 17:27Speaker 3: son after you and named them. And that's why. So
- 17:30Speaker 3: when people call him Yamal, you're incorrectly call you're calling
- 17:33Speaker 3: him by his middle name. You either call him Lamin
- 17:35Speaker 3: or Lamin Yamal, or if you want to go by
- 17:37Speaker 3: his last name, go figure out what that is.
- 17:39Speaker 1: But if you're messy, you can't lose to the kid
- 17:41Speaker 1: that you touched, right like, you can't. That's I don't know.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I mean, it's a weird sentence. All of it is weird.
- 17:46Speaker 1: It's it's weird. I'm sorry.
- 17:50Speaker 4: They should recreate this photo at halftime.
- 17:53Speaker 1: It's a messy situation during a hydration break in this time.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Still, you gotta be careful with the phrasing on that.
- 18:02Speaker 1: But Messi has to win. I mean, I don't.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Either that or he's going to say, my power is
- 18:07Speaker 3: so great, I've made him better than me, and I
- 18:10Speaker 3: about it.
- 18:11Speaker 1: It's a win win, a classic win win for Messi.
- 18:13Speaker 2: He either wins, well, he has to win today or
- 18:16Speaker 2: rather wins or if he loses, he claimed victory because
- 18:21Speaker 2: he touched this guy when he was a kid.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Can we talk about that last game for Argentina, because
- 18:30Speaker 3: I mean everybody has this theory that the fixes in
- 18:35Speaker 3: for Argentina. Right, we talked about that fix it for Argentina.
- 18:37Speaker 3: That's what FIFA stands for.
- 18:39Speaker 2: And you had the one feel like the referees have
- 18:41Speaker 2: carried them till this point.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Yes, right, you're right.
- 18:43Speaker 3: You had the one play against Egypt where they took
- 18:45Speaker 3: away a goal and then you had the Swiss player
- 18:47Speaker 3: who got red carded for a flop after already having
- 18:51Speaker 3: a yellow and got another yellow. And I hear people
- 18:54Speaker 3: talking about, hey, how can we fix this, how can
- 18:56Speaker 3: we do this? And I'm just like, this is the
- 18:58Speaker 3: problem with VA because the referees and this is what
- 19:03Speaker 3: you know, it goes back to instant replay on in
- 19:07Speaker 3: any sport. Really, the referees now feel a little bit
- 19:10Speaker 3: less pressure to get every call because hey, entire situation,
- 19:14Speaker 3: it's going to pay attention. Yes, and so you know
- 19:18Speaker 3: how that red card would have been avoided and Switzerland
- 19:21Speaker 3: would have, you know, not had to play with ten
- 19:24Speaker 3: players if the refs saw it properly and didn't give
- 19:28Speaker 3: a yellow card to the Argentine player. Don't give the
- 19:31Speaker 3: yellow card to the wrong player because you saw the
- 19:33Speaker 3: wrong thing. It was such an obvious dive. There was
- 19:35Speaker 3: no contact there, make the right call. Or if you
- 19:39Speaker 3: are the Swiss player and Taylor, I don't think any
- 19:41Speaker 3: player would do this, but you got to think about
- 19:44Speaker 3: this going forward. Right, If you're the Swiss player and
- 19:47Speaker 3: you see the Argentinian guy get a red card or
- 19:49Speaker 3: a yellow card and you know it was just a
- 19:52Speaker 3: dive by you, you gotta go and say, hey, ball
- 19:54Speaker 3: off me, not not a yellow.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Take that away.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Don't go to Var. Because once you go to Var,
- 19:59Speaker 3: they have no choice but to give you that second yellow.
- 20:02Speaker 3: You stop the game, they went to a review and
- 20:04Speaker 3: all that stuff, you're out of here. So either the
- 20:06Speaker 3: referee has to get it right or the player on
- 20:08Speaker 3: the field has to see what's happening. You'd be like, no, no,
- 20:11Speaker 3: my bad, take that yellow away, I just fell or
- 20:14Speaker 3: something like that, because that way you don't have to
- 20:16Speaker 3: go to VAR.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree that the worst possible scenario there is
- 20:21Speaker 4: the one that actually played out, because the refs are
- 20:25Speaker 4: just calling it the way that the VR is intended
- 20:28Speaker 4: to be used where you got the yellow wrong, you
- 20:31Speaker 4: put the yellow on the right guy. It's a brutal
- 20:33Speaker 4: play for Switzerland because Switzerland had all the momentum after
- 20:37Speaker 4: equalizing and then Argentina buries them in extra time. It
- 20:41Speaker 4: is interesting going into today England Argentina. England's actually the favorite.
- 20:46Speaker 4: And I've been on the camp of even though I'm
- 20:48Speaker 4: seven percent English, England is. Yeah, I'm seven percent English, Okay,
- 20:54Speaker 4: so that's why I've been.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm English.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm buzzing for the lads today. Jude Belliam's really
- 21:05Speaker 4: going to carry us top fin.
- 21:06Speaker 5: Three fifteenth English, got it.
- 21:11Speaker 4: But England is the favor and I've been saying England
- 21:14Speaker 4: to pretender this entire tournament. Something changed in that Mexico
- 21:18Speaker 4: game where they won at the Azteca, where all of
- 21:21Speaker 4: a sudden, England looks like a very formidable team. And
- 21:25Speaker 4: when you compare the teams that England has had to
- 21:27Speaker 4: go through compared to the run that Argentina's on against
- 21:30Speaker 4: Cape Verde, Egypt, Switzerland, it kind of makes sense why
- 21:34Speaker 4: England's the favor today because England has been running through
- 21:38Speaker 4: their competition for the most part, and Argentina has been
- 21:40Speaker 4: skating by against much lesser teams.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, look, just watching Argentina, it's they're so
- 21:48Speaker 3: I don't know, there's such a veteran team, they're so calculated.
- 21:50Speaker 3: They just they do whatever it takes to win, and
- 21:53Speaker 3: so sometimes it just doesn't look that impressive. They just
- 21:56Speaker 3: wait for their moment, wait for their moment. MESSI usually
- 21:58Speaker 3: finds it and boom. But in terms of a team
- 22:01Speaker 3: that just looks the most together, that looks, you know,
- 22:03Speaker 3: talent from you know, all eleven spots on the field,
- 22:06Speaker 3: England just looks like the better squad and so, but
- 22:09Speaker 3: experience is gonna matter. And I feel like those English
- 22:12Speaker 3: sort of ghosts or whatever that are, I think they're
- 22:16Speaker 3: they're gonna start to feel them now, especially if they're
- 22:18Speaker 3: a favorite.
- 22:19Speaker 4: Still with with France losing yesterday to Spain, it sets
- 22:24Speaker 4: up a third place game. The third place game is
- 22:27Speaker 4: gonna be in Miami Saturday, So the loser of today's
- 22:29Speaker 4: game plays France in the third.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Place game that Miami.
- 22:32Speaker 4: It's shaping up to be a good game, whether it's
- 22:34Speaker 4: England France or Argentina France. But is a third place
- 22:37Speaker 4: game something you get excited for.
- 22:39Speaker 2: No, I mean, who cares about third place? Who cares
- 22:41Speaker 2: about fourth place? I mean, what do we do in here?
- 22:43Speaker 2: Why are we playing a third place game?
- 22:46Speaker 1: And Messi?
- 22:47Speaker 2: Everyone wants Messi in the finals. That like, well, actually
- 22:49Speaker 2: I don't know. Argentina France might draw a bigger number
- 22:52Speaker 2: in the third place game World Cup Final, right.
- 22:55Speaker 4: The problem is in a third place game, does Messi play?
- 22:59Speaker 4: Doesn't bope? It's kind of like instead of a bowl,
- 23:03Speaker 4: instead of a team going to the college football playoff,
- 23:06Speaker 4: they're going to the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit, And
- 23:08Speaker 4: it's like, if I'm a quarterback there, I don't really.
- 23:11Speaker 2: What's why we'resk injury for? You know, for third place?
- 23:13Speaker 2: Who cares?
- 23:14Speaker 3: Team USA basketball playing for bronze? Nobody really wants?
- 23:20Speaker 2: Is the third place World Cup game the Outback Bowl?
- 23:23Speaker 2: Put it on the bowl.
- 23:25Speaker 3: I do kind of want to see.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Well, that's what it feels like, is he did you
- 23:29Speaker 2: see the story of Messi and how much walking he
- 23:32Speaker 2: does on the soccer field to could serve his energy
- 23:35Speaker 2: for the short.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Sprints that he has because he likes to could serve
- 23:38Speaker 1: his energy.
- 23:39Speaker 2: I found it interesting that he walks a lot on
- 23:42Speaker 2: the soccer field in an effort to help himself be uh,
- 23:46Speaker 2: you know, fresher down the stretch of.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Certain smarts like why would you wear yourself but don't
- 23:50Speaker 3: have to? You know who does that even better than
- 23:52Speaker 3: Leo Messi these days Early Holly. Yeah, that dude walks
- 23:55Speaker 3: around like he's exhausted at all times, and then all
- 23:57Speaker 3: of a sudden the ball's coming on across. Hey, look
- 23:59Speaker 3: at me. But yeah, I mean, I don't think Leo
- 24:02Speaker 3: used to always play that way. He's been, you know,
- 24:05Speaker 3: been able to keep himself healthy for all these years.
- 24:07Speaker 3: It is the one criticism of him. It's basically like
- 24:10Speaker 3: an offense only player, but he's you know, he's an
- 24:12Speaker 3: attacking player, so it doesn't really need to be back
- 24:15Speaker 3: there playing defense. And he probably did a little bit
- 24:17Speaker 3: more when he was younger. I don't know.
- 24:18Speaker 1: It just feels very stagatian. Hey, why are you walking
- 24:21Speaker 1: so much? I'm conserving energy for when I get the
- 24:23Speaker 1: ball short sprints. You know.
- 24:26Speaker 3: I do kind of want to see Spain win the
- 24:27Speaker 3: World Cup because I do believe is Donald Trump awarding
- 24:30Speaker 3: the trophy? Yeah?
- 24:32Speaker 1: I believe so.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Yeah, he recently called the Spanish very bad people. I
- 24:35Speaker 3: would love to see him have to give Spain that
- 24:38Speaker 3: World Cup great.
- 24:41Speaker 4: As you mentioned Arlin Holland and the World Cup trophy.
- 24:45Speaker 4: I don't know if you guys saw this, but Arlin
- 24:47Speaker 4: Holland obviously doesn't get the World Cup trophy. But he
- 24:50Speaker 4: took a souvenir home from the United States when when
- 24:53Speaker 4: Norway Lands. He brought back a seven hundred and fifty
- 24:58Speaker 4: dollars taxidermy rack coon from wild Bill's Western Store in Dallas.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Holding a beer or something, right, some sort of alcoholic
- 25:06Speaker 3: beverroom sort of alcohol. That is perfect, the perfect way
- 25:10Speaker 3: to remember the United States. It's absolutely ideal.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I thought he'd go out and kill one of his
- 25:16Speaker 2: one of our animals with his own bare hands.
- 25:19Speaker 1: It does, look over the shoulder, and bring it home
- 25:21Speaker 1: on the plane on his Viking ship.
