Aerial performer Mariia Konfektova is suing Cirque du Soleil for $16.75 million after a devastating 15-foot fall during a KOOZA show in Portland, breaking 11 bones including her skull and face. The lawsuit alleges the company failed to provide adequate fall protection, leading to multiple surgeries and permanent injuries. OSHA fined Cirque $8,070 for safety violations, while the company appeals one citation.
