- 0:11Speaker 1: Native rapper. Yeah, we get the fucking TV going over here.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Deshaun Jordans welcome, Thank you for having me. Bad year
- 0:24Speaker 1: for Deshawn's huh huh. I don't know, Deshaun Watson ain't
- 0:28Speaker 1: having a great year, he ain't holding it down, but
- 0:32Speaker 1: cool ain't welcome man. So what part are you from? From? Chandler? So?
- 0:36Speaker 1: I was born in like Glendell area, and I moved
- 0:38Speaker 1: and then I moved to like Making George for a
- 0:40Speaker 1: little bit, and then Tucson and Georgia. Yeahhh it was
- 0:44Speaker 1: random there, oh for real. Yeah, I spent a little
- 0:46Speaker 1: time there, probably like a year at the most, and
- 0:48Speaker 1: then I moved to Tucson with my grandma, and then
- 0:50Speaker 1: in the backup in Phoenix. Oh ship shout out to Tucson. Yeah, Tucson.
- 0:56Speaker 1: So where did you go to high school? Hamilton High School?
- 0:58Speaker 1: That's a Hamilton's like a good school, right, Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:01Speaker 1: it was like over in like the Chandler area. Now
- 1:03Speaker 1: I know Hamilton is that's where all the fucking football
- 1:05Speaker 1: players went Yeah. In fact, if there's like somebody who
- 1:07Speaker 1: makes it out of Arizona and makes it to the NFL,
- 1:09Speaker 1: they went to Hamilton. Isn't that where Torrol Suggs went? Yep,
- 1:12Speaker 1: Hampton High School. Suggs out of there. And Chandler has
- 1:15Speaker 1: some some some fire offs too, they say, sent a
- 1:16Speaker 1: bunch of people to the league. Yeah, yeah, Arizona's got
- 1:18Speaker 1: some good football school Tomorrow and Chandler. But yeah, yeah,
- 1:23Speaker 1: Hamilton Chandler rivalry like pretty real. Yeah, it was real,
- 1:26Speaker 1: like especially when I was in like high school too,
- 1:28Speaker 1: which is I mean, it wasn't that long ago, like
- 1:31Speaker 1: twenty fifteen, like about ten yearstheless, it was like still
- 1:34Speaker 1: going on. But even before that, it was like heck
- 1:36Speaker 1: the guy remember being in like elementary or junior high
- 1:38Speaker 1: and like going to the football games with my cousin
- 1:40Speaker 1: and it being like the biggest football game like in
- 1:42Speaker 1: the city. Yeah, Chandler's like an interesting area because it's
- 1:45Speaker 1: technically the suburbs, but there are some like interesting pockets
- 1:49Speaker 1: of Chandler where things get a little hairy. Yeah, oh
- 1:51Speaker 1: for sure, it definitely got their pockets, like get down
- 1:54Speaker 1: the pockets. It's not a lot, but it's it's there.
- 1:57Speaker 1: There's some there's some teethless fucking meth heads over the fact,
- 2:01Speaker 1: especially like after Like I feel like it's like two
- 2:04Speaker 1: sides of version A AB. It's like the arison, the
- 2:06Speaker 1: AF part that goes up towards like I want to
- 2:08Speaker 1: then the one that starts getting like close and closer
- 2:10Speaker 1: Chalent High School. Yeah, it gets a little Chandler's like
- 2:13Speaker 1: the Hood school right, yeah, if you had to say, yeah,
- 2:19Speaker 1: Chandler is definitely more like on that. I went to
- 2:21Speaker 1: school in Mesa, so I went to Westwood, which was like, uh,
- 2:25Speaker 1: like Mesa has like the up to these schools which
- 2:27Speaker 1: is like Red Mountain and Mountain View. All the Mormons
- 2:30Speaker 1: go there. Well, Mormons go to school everywhere in Mesa
- 2:32Speaker 1: that they just their fucking town. And then like the
- 2:35Speaker 1: hood schools are Westwood and Mason Masa High. But Chandler's like,
- 2:38Speaker 1: you know, it's its own fucking thing, all East Valley though, yeah,
- 2:41Speaker 1: oh yeah, I spent time. Only time I was really
- 2:44Speaker 1: in Mason's when I went to like skatek yeah next
- 2:46Speaker 1: to my house, that skate park read Read. I didn't
- 2:49Speaker 1: really go to Read. I was mostly like skate Land. Oh, yeah,
- 2:52Speaker 1: because I was over there. I was really scared. I
- 2:56Speaker 1: was scared with the homies you were going over there
- 2:58Speaker 1: when they were doing the club glows. It it it was
- 3:00Speaker 1: like a bunch of fucking thirteen year old fucking sucking.
- 3:03Speaker 1: My sister got pregnant at thirteen from going to Skateland.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Shout out to my niece Serena. Yeah, I think I
- 3:11Speaker 1: was on the on the skate ring. Remember when they
- 3:12Speaker 1: were doing Club Glow. Yeah, club oh yeah, God, Club
- 3:16Speaker 1: Glow is crazy. That was like every weekend there with
- 3:18Speaker 1: the homies, like what's going on to be like overnight
- 3:21Speaker 1: fucking stays at Skateland, And my mom would say yes,
- 3:24Speaker 1: and now we have a I have a niece. The overnights,
- 3:28Speaker 1: the all nighters, my parents, they did a great fucking job.
- 3:31Speaker 1: My sister got pregnant at thirteen. I had a baby
- 3:33Speaker 1: at eighteen. Great job, guys, great fucking job. Anyway, So
- 3:38Speaker 1: when'd you start skating? Oh? I started skating probably like
- 3:41Speaker 1: like on board, probably like ten twelve years ago. I
- 3:44Speaker 1: lived in two something actually when I picked up my
- 3:46Speaker 1: first skateboard. Like the group of homies hung out with
- 3:48Speaker 1: out there. We were always doing something like different, like
- 3:51Speaker 1: whether it was like skating, you know. Everybody was like
- 3:53Speaker 1: on the club basketball club football team, and the Homies
- 3:56Speaker 1: just started randomly skating, and like I remember, I pulled
- 3:59Speaker 1: up on them one day and I saw all the
- 4:00Speaker 1: board and I was like, oh, like you know what
- 4:01Speaker 1: I mean. I've always been intrigued with like adrenaline rush,
- 4:04Speaker 1: you know, I mean, I always been an adrenaline junkie,
- 4:06Speaker 1: And so I used to just grab the board like
- 4:08Speaker 1: while they were hooping and just roll around on the
- 4:09Speaker 1: basketball court. And then I just like got hooked on it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Every time I linked, I couldn't put it down. I
- 4:13Speaker 1: never had my own. I was always using the homies boards.
- 4:16Speaker 1: And then when I moved from Tucson to Phoenix, I
- 4:18Speaker 1: kind of like saw more skating went to my first
- 4:20Speaker 1: like actually this was probably like man, I want to say,
- 4:26Speaker 1: twenty ten, Oh yeah, probably around there. Like when I
- 4:30Speaker 1: moved to Phoenix from Tucson. With Phoenix, I moved, I moved.
- 4:35Speaker 1: When I came, I was in Chandler, but I lived
- 4:37Speaker 1: in Glendale before I like moved. But when I moved back,
- 4:40Speaker 1: I was in like Chandler area of course on that
- 4:42Speaker 1: side though closer to Chandler High and then I moved
- 4:45Speaker 1: like on the other side when I started going to Hamilton.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So yeah, because most people, like, I mean, that's a
- 4:50Speaker 1: pretty short skating journey for you to be like as
- 4:52Speaker 1: fucking popping as you are. Yeah, people like, man, I've
- 4:55Speaker 1: been skating so I was eight year old. A lot
- 4:57Speaker 1: of my homies actually, like I'm with, they all started
- 5:00Speaker 1: like when they're super younger. I always tell people when
- 5:02Speaker 1: they ask me how long I'm like, I feel like
- 5:04Speaker 1: I kind of started like later than most people. Yeah,
- 5:06Speaker 1: And I don't know, like it kind of just like zoomed,
- 5:10Speaker 1: Like you know, I moved here in twenty fifteen, right
- 5:11Speaker 1: after I graduated high school, and I was already skating
- 5:14Speaker 1: and started competing and stuff. But I would say, like
- 5:16Speaker 1: after that two years of living here of just like
- 5:18Speaker 1: you know, grinding, filming and linking up with homies, like
- 5:21Speaker 1: they kind of just like grinding and literally grinding, yeah
- 5:24Speaker 1: for real, and then it just like I don't know,
- 5:26Speaker 1: now I'm here always trip out. Hey guys, we gotta

- 7:18Speaker 1: That's it. Have you been in a video game yet? Now? Uh?
- 7:21Speaker 1: I had one homeie, not like me as a character,
- 7:24Speaker 1: but I had one homie hit me up. They had
- 7:25Speaker 1: this games called Sessions come out and I think it
- 7:28Speaker 1: was on Xbox and stuff, and he like did a
- 7:30Speaker 1: trick was called like a laser flip on a set,
- 7:32Speaker 1: and then after he landed it, it was like you
- 7:34Speaker 1: completed the Deshaun Jordan Challenge and I didn't know that
- 7:37Speaker 1: they had it in the game until you told me
- 7:38Speaker 1: that my big bro TJ. And I was like, what
- 7:40Speaker 1: the heck, Like they put that in the game, and
- 7:42Speaker 1: he was like, yeah, nah, they didn't baby now that
- 7:49Speaker 1: they were trying to like have me get in the game.
- 7:50Speaker 1: But like it was something like my agent was like
- 7:55Speaker 1: talking with him and trying to figure out how they
- 7:56Speaker 1: would run and how they do it, and they got
- 7:59Speaker 1: to skate a new skate. Yeah, I need the skate.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I need to be in the scale hitting up all
- 8:02Speaker 1: the homies so I feel like might be connected and
- 8:04Speaker 1: then they all be like, oh, we'll let you know.
- 8:06Speaker 1: It's like kind of a minute until it comes out.
- 8:08Speaker 1: So I used to be like my so my childhood
- 8:11Speaker 1: skaters were separate from like hip hop people. Okay, it
- 8:15Speaker 1: was very like divided. We'd be like fuck the skaters.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Like when I was like eight nine, the older people
- 8:21Speaker 1: I would hang out with. It was like such a
- 8:23Speaker 1: like there was like a point in time in my
- 8:26Speaker 1: childhood where like skaters were looked at as like totally
- 8:29Speaker 1: opposite of like the fucking guys who like did bullshit.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Like you known, I was a bootlegg and I was
- 8:37Speaker 1: like seventeen, but I was like fucking I was growing
- 8:39Speaker 1: up like I was. I lived in Mesa as a
- 8:42Speaker 1: high schooler, but before that, I was in Phoenix, like
- 8:44Speaker 1: on nineteenth Avenue and like done lap Oka and we
- 8:47Speaker 1: did not fuck with the skaters. And then I moved
- 8:49Speaker 1: to Mesa and I'm around all these fucking white kids.
- 8:51Speaker 1: We're in DC and shit and uh, and you know
- 8:55Speaker 1: it just I think that there was like a cultural
- 8:56Speaker 1: shift where like kind of the two sides kind of
- 8:59Speaker 1: just merged. But like early on, skaters were like this
- 9:02Speaker 1: thing that was like over there. Yeah, definitely separated because
- 9:06Speaker 1: I even like before I skated, like I was in
- 9:08Speaker 1: like dance groups, like I did a bunch of stuff.
- 9:10Speaker 1: So when I started skating, it was like in my family,
- 9:12Speaker 1: everybody was like, oh, you skating out, and I was
- 9:14Speaker 1: like yeah, and I was trying to like tell them
- 9:16Speaker 1: what it was and how it was and stuff like that.
- 9:18Speaker 1: So shout out to like guys like Stevie Williams. Yeah,
- 9:21Speaker 1: really kind of helped me bridge the two worlds. And
- 9:24Speaker 1: then I get to give a lot of love to
- 9:26Speaker 1: Tony Hawk the video game, yep, because I feel like
- 9:29Speaker 1: the video game kind of made everybody a fan of
- 9:31Speaker 1: skateboarding facts. And then and then par Real was like
- 9:34Speaker 1: the guy in hip hop who like it was like,
- 9:37Speaker 1: oh shit, you could be a skater and be a
- 9:40Speaker 1: musical genius. That makes classic. He started the whole skate
- 9:43Speaker 1: team too at ice Cream, so he likes in the
- 9:46Speaker 1: in the mix. You know, if you don't know skate
- 9:48Speaker 1: anybody know the Tony Hawk game, Like, yeah, I just yeah,
- 9:51Speaker 1: Tony Hawk Pro Skater was my ship. It's sill, my
- 9:54Speaker 1: favorite's probably my that's probably my favorite game ever. Like
- 9:56Speaker 1: I bought the new re release okay, oh yeah yeah
- 9:59Speaker 1: yeah when they released it. Yeah, man, I like did
- 10:02Speaker 1: they remaster? They had like a lot of the homies
- 10:03Speaker 1: in there, Like who like you know in today's generation
- 10:06Speaker 1: of like street skateboards. Yeah, they put people in there.
- 10:08Speaker 1: So what would you say, Like, there's like obviously there's
- 10:10Speaker 1: like different genres of skateboarding. There's street skating, which is
- 10:15Speaker 1: more grinding, using like elements that you would find on
- 10:18Speaker 1: the sidewalk. Yeah, rail stairs, there's vert are those like
- 10:21Speaker 1: the two? Yeah, it's yeah, it's yeah, it's vert and
- 10:24Speaker 1: street skateboarding. Yeah, and then there's like bowl is kind
- 10:27Speaker 1: of like the same thing. They call it park, but
- 10:28Speaker 1: really it's just like a bowl, you know what I mean.
- 10:30Speaker 1: But it's all it's still transition in the bowl. So
- 10:32Speaker 1: it's technically like, all, what do you street? I skate both,
- 10:36Speaker 1: but I'm mainly skate street, you know what I mean.
- 10:38Speaker 1: So I compete like street skateboarding and everything, but I
- 10:41Speaker 1: like skating both. They're both funder me. So and I
- 10:43Speaker 1: kind of grew up skating transition because of my local
- 10:46Speaker 1: skate park in Arizona was all like transition, right, So
- 10:49Speaker 1: I like kind of started getting into street skateboarding after that.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So you never went to Red Parking Mesa a couple
- 10:55Speaker 1: of times when I was younger, but I never really
- 10:57Speaker 1: spent time at park. Yeah, that parks. I used to
- 11:01Speaker 1: walk there every night and play basketball with a bunch
- 11:03Speaker 1: of fucking pisces. I was like the only guy who
- 11:06Speaker 1: spoke English. I was like fucking twelve hooping with a
- 11:09Speaker 1: bunch of like shout out to all the Mexicans in Mesa,
- 11:11Speaker 1: but all the guys were like shorter than me, so
- 11:13Speaker 1: it was kind of tight, you know what I mean.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Over they're dunking help people. He was, oh, man, but then,
- 11:19Speaker 1: but yo, what's crazy is I moved to Mesa right
- 11:21Speaker 1: before Reed Park opened, so me and my boys I thought,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I was like, oh, let me try skating. I'm like,
- 11:27Speaker 1: I feel like I could. At one point in time,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I could pull off a kickflip. I could still probably ali,
- 11:33Speaker 1: but my skating career was short because we went to
- 11:37Speaker 1: break in to read before it opened. But it was
- 11:40Speaker 1: still like you could see that, oh it's a skate park.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I just got to hop over the fence, but it
- 11:43Speaker 1: wasn't open to the public yet, so we jumped the
- 11:45Speaker 1: wall and then uh, I think the cops or somebody
- 11:50Speaker 1: started to pull up or whatever's cops up everywhere over there,
- 11:53Speaker 1: and we tried to jump the fence to run and
- 11:56Speaker 1: my jeans got stuck in the fucking spike at the
- 11:59Speaker 1: top of the I fell, hate ship, broke my hand.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Never skated again. WHOA. I was like, this is not
- 12:06Speaker 1: for me. I'm gonna just play Tony Hawk. That was
- 12:08Speaker 1: a tragic experience. Yeah, you gotta give it a try. No, no, no,
- 12:12Speaker 1: no, no no, no no, this is not gonna work for
- 12:17Speaker 1: you by Pop Ali for the ground and Papa Ali.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I think I could. I think I could pull an
- 12:20Speaker 1: Allie off. Hey how about this, Syrius, You're gonna give
- 12:23Speaker 1: me that fucking look over there was put some money
- 12:25Speaker 1: on it. I could. I think I could stell all
- 12:29Speaker 1: I saw you tie, I saw you had tied on
- 12:31Speaker 1: other day, tie it on the board. Yeah, there's some
- 12:33Speaker 1: good rappers, Hopson, Rich, the kids, Solid Rich, the kid
- 12:37Speaker 1: being like Trey flipped downstairs like yeah, I think I
- 12:40Speaker 1: think Hobson could get him. Though. I think those are
- 12:42Speaker 1: the two best that that would be. I think a
- 12:44Speaker 1: good game was skate. He's not as good as as Hopson. Now, well,
- 12:49Speaker 1: you know what's crazy is like so like Ty and
- 12:52Speaker 1: Wayne on the same session, And it was funny because
- 12:54Speaker 1: like I don't think like Ty knew how good like
- 12:55Speaker 1: Wayne is because Wayne, like Wayne be going to Tampa
- 12:57Speaker 1: skate park, but he like skate skate when you the park,
- 13:00Speaker 1: like he sliding the rail like he's jumping down the
- 13:02Speaker 1: stair like and it was just crazy because I was
- 13:05Speaker 1: like he was like, man, like I gotta I gotta
- 13:07Speaker 1: roll down that one, right, there and I'm like, yeah,
- 13:09Speaker 1: we go get you there, like you know what. But
- 13:10Speaker 1: he'd be like really like he loves skating, like he
- 13:12Speaker 1: tried to pull up any times, you know, any chance
- 13:14Speaker 1: he can get to skate, and it's cool because he
- 13:16Speaker 1: could roll in Wayne or Tie Oh Man, No, no no, no,
- 13:21Speaker 1: I'm saying, like, who are you talking about right now?
- 13:23Speaker 1: I'm talking about Tie Sign. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, he's been
- 13:26Speaker 1: like getting in at the park and like, you know
- 13:27Speaker 1: what I mean skating and thought, yeah he would. I've
- 13:30Speaker 1: known that guy for fucking ten years. I never knew
- 13:32Speaker 1: he was picked up a skateboard. Yeah, you gotta you
- 13:34Speaker 1: gotta see. He posted a video of him at the park.
- 13:36Speaker 1: He was smoking cigarettes on the podcast like a real
- 13:39Speaker 1: fucking degenerate though. Yeah. He was like, Yo, can I smoke?
- 13:43Speaker 1: And I always assume it's weird. I'm like, yeah, of course.
- 13:45Speaker 1: He pulls out a fucking pack of cigarettes from Dubai
- 13:49Speaker 1: smokes three of them in the interview for We're all
- 13:51Speaker 1: fucking Dying in here. It just smells like my dad
- 13:58Speaker 1: for sure. Nah. Yeah, So who do for you? Like
- 14:03Speaker 1: your experience? You think is the best skating rapper? I
- 14:08Speaker 1: would say, man off the top of my head, like
- 14:11Speaker 1: the best skate rapper I know, Like I'll probably say
- 14:13Speaker 1: Rich because like I've seen like footage of him, like
- 14:16Speaker 1: Trey flipping a seven stairs. You know, he's a beast,
- 14:18Speaker 1: like you know what I mean. I think people don't
- 14:20Speaker 1: understand how good he like. And he it's a skate
- 14:23Speaker 1: parking downtown. I lay the barracks, yeah, and he like
- 14:26Speaker 1: always the tenths there there. He's a beast, like people
- 14:29Speaker 1: do not understand. Rich the kid is one of them
- 14:31Speaker 1: guys on the state. He's better than Wayne, that's for sure.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Rich the kid is a beat. Yeah, he
- 14:37Speaker 1: skates skate like you gotta set up the altar. I
- 14:39Speaker 1: tried to set this up like four years ago. I
- 14:41Speaker 1: tried to set up the Hopson versus Rich the Kid's
- 14:43Speaker 1: game of skate and they were talking like stupid money
- 14:46Speaker 1: like I think they were like one hundred grand on
- 14:48Speaker 1: the line and I don't remember which side uh was
- 14:51Speaker 1: not down, But somebody ended up backing out and but
- 14:54Speaker 1: that would have been epick. Yeah, that would have been crazy.
- 14:57Speaker 1: I saw Hopson had a show. I forgot w sho
- 15:00Speaker 1: Veny was, but he hasd somebody to come on stage.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And he played them skate. It was like some random
- 15:04Speaker 1: due in the crowd. He does that. He would do
- 15:05Speaker 1: that every tour day. He would just say, who wants
- 15:08Speaker 1: to play skate before the show? Behind the venue, just
- 15:11Speaker 1: playing skating ship that's fire, that's yeah, there's been. What
- 15:15Speaker 1: was the what was it? Who was the rapper who
- 15:18Speaker 1: tried to rap? It was signed the Current or signed
- 15:20Speaker 1: the Jet Life. What was the name of the skater
- 15:23Speaker 1: to turn into a rapper? Was it Stevie? Uh? The
- 15:28Speaker 1: guy who was on Flight Society? Uh t k t
- 15:32Speaker 1: K Kennedy in jail? Right yeah, I think right now
- 15:36Speaker 1: he is Yeah, yeah yo. Shout out to him too,
- 15:40Speaker 1: very like he was a pioneer. In fact, it was
- 15:42Speaker 1: like it was him, like obviously, like when I got
- 15:45Speaker 1: into skating, it was him, Antoine Dixon, Theoti's Beasley, like
- 15:51Speaker 1: windsor James and like those dudes were like like yeah,
- 15:54Speaker 1: the black skaters. Who was like really like okay, like
- 15:57Speaker 1: you know we can do this, like you know it
- 15:59Speaker 1: was yeah, yeah, he had had yeah, all the ice
- 16:05Speaker 1: cream ads, like he was going crazy. I think he
- 16:07Speaker 1: was Dave Angela Simmons at one point too. Oh shit,
- 16:09Speaker 1: good for him. Yeah, I think so. Yeah, he was
- 16:11Speaker 1: like in the whole scene, like he was like he
- 16:13Speaker 1: had a TV show too. I remember he was going crazy.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I don't I forget what he did. But pree him.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Maybe I don't know. I don't know what he did.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Maybe not free him. I don't know. It's different about
- 16:26Speaker 1: freeing him. Hey, what up y'all? Bootleg keV got to
- 16:28Speaker 1: stop the interview to tell you about our newest sponsor. Man.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Shout out to the homies at Hard Dean, Las Vegas.

- 17:25Speaker 1: to pull up to Hardan, tell them I sent you,
- 17:29Speaker 1: and get high off your fucking face. I don't even
- 17:31Speaker 1: know what that means. How do you get high off
- 17:33Speaker 1: of your face? Whatever? Melt your fucking face off with
- 17:35Speaker 1: some of that good hard Dean, y'all go follow them
- 17:37Speaker 1: one more time. That's Harding Underscore Las Vegas. Let's get
- 17:40Speaker 1: back to the interview anyway. So you're making music now, yeah,
- 17:44Speaker 1: so what inspired you to make music? So? Like, music
- 17:47Speaker 1: been a part of my life, you know, me since
- 17:48Speaker 1: I was younger, and you know, with my cousins, like
- 17:50Speaker 1: they would like write raps for me, like they would
- 17:51Speaker 1: have a little freestyle circles and out of freestyle with them,
- 17:54Speaker 1: and so I always had to pass from music, you know,
- 17:56Speaker 1: like it just like it's always been a part of
- 17:58Speaker 1: my life. And so when I started to getting older,
- 18:00Speaker 1: like my ears started getting more mature for music, and
- 18:02Speaker 1: I actually, like you know, wanted to tap in. So
- 18:04Speaker 1: like even when I lived in az I was starting
- 18:06Speaker 1: to like book like little studio time, and I was
- 18:09Speaker 1: like making music and stuff, which like now I listened
- 18:11Speaker 1: to it, I'm like, man, but you know it's all
- 18:13Speaker 1: like growing, Yeah, it's all grown. But then I would
- 18:16Speaker 1: say I moved, you know, I moved out here. And
- 18:18Speaker 1: you know, the first friend group I like became like
- 18:21Speaker 1: part of part of you know, I was in music
- 18:22Speaker 1: was my big bro TJ. TJ Mysel He was a
- 18:25Speaker 1: DJ and stuff, and uh I started like kicking it
- 18:28Speaker 1: with him, you know, like Matt Ferg and you know
- 18:30Speaker 1: that team and stuff. You know TJ Grandmaster Yeah yeah
- 18:35Speaker 1: he's a kid. Yeah yeah, he's the Royals DJ now.
- 18:41Speaker 1: But yeah, I started like kicking it with Larroy kilroy Is. Yeah,
- 18:46Speaker 1: so I like started kicking with him. You know. I
- 18:47Speaker 1: was getting like constructive criticism from them, you know what
- 18:49Speaker 1: I mean. They were helping me like grow. You know.
- 18:51Speaker 1: My bro Tea was giving me, you know, feedback for it,
- 18:54Speaker 1: was giving me feedback and so I was grown growing.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Then I linked up with my bro Pat you know
- 18:58Speaker 1: what I mean, who's like was is my engineer now,
- 19:01Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And we've been together for
- 19:02Speaker 1: a couple of years now, and like just throughout that
- 19:04Speaker 1: time from that, like having that like friend group, it
- 19:07Speaker 1: just helped me, Like it helped me grow so much
- 19:09Speaker 1: in music, and I was like getting more confident with dropping,
- 19:12Speaker 1: and so all the bros like, Okay, you know, we're
- 19:13Speaker 1: getting the point where like you know, like like the
- 19:15Speaker 1: quality is there, you know, like let's start like playing
- 19:17Speaker 1: drops and stuff and figuring out the best way to
- 19:19Speaker 1: merge it, you know what I mean with what you
- 19:20Speaker 1: already got going as a skateboarder, because like that like
- 19:23Speaker 1: that's kind of hard sometimes, you know what I mean.
- 19:25Speaker 1: And so, like it was a couple of skaters who
- 19:27Speaker 1: like you know, tried to make music you know, back
- 19:29Speaker 1: in the day, and they just came across like super aggressive,
- 19:31Speaker 1: and you know, the music wasn't like really up there,
- 19:34Speaker 1: you know, like they weren't really skate as much. So
- 19:35Speaker 1: it kind of left like a bad taste in skateboard's mouth,
- 19:38Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And so every time somebody
- 19:39Speaker 1: said they made music, it was like, oh, like don't
- 19:41Speaker 1: be you know, don't be a TK, don't be a
- 19:43Speaker 1: Jimmy Rodgers. And so like that was always imprinted back
- 19:46Speaker 1: in my head. So you know, I'm a super patient person,
- 19:48Speaker 1: you know what I mean, and you know I believe,
- 19:50Speaker 1: you know, Goshim's the right time. And so it's like
- 19:52Speaker 1: I just you know waited, you know, worked hard, you
- 19:54Speaker 1: know what I mean, had my friend group I was
- 19:56Speaker 1: around and the team I'm with, and so throughout the
- 19:58Speaker 1: years of just you know, building, getting the reps and
- 20:01Speaker 1: you know, we ended up at the point where like, okay,
- 20:02Speaker 1: like let's drop you know, the first song and get
- 20:04Speaker 1: into it. And so from there it kind of just
- 20:07Speaker 1: was like, you know, I just have like a passion
- 20:09Speaker 1: for music, you know what I mean, Like I like
- 20:11Speaker 1: literally love music. And so with that, my whole thing
- 20:14Speaker 1: was like, yo, like this is a part of me
- 20:16Speaker 1: and I really want to introduce it in the right way.
- 20:18Speaker 1: So like like let's take those necessary steps, you know
- 20:21Speaker 1: what I mean, and have the patience to where like
- 20:22Speaker 1: when I do it, it's like respected. You know, it's
- 20:24Speaker 1: not like I don't get that stigmare, I don't get
- 20:27Speaker 1: that like you know that opinion. And so yeah, I
- 20:29Speaker 1: just started you know, dropping music and stuff, and you
- 20:32Speaker 1: know it's been you know merging into like my world,
- 20:34Speaker 1: my skating world, you know what I mean. Good, and
- 20:36Speaker 1: got the support like the skateboard community. Some contents I'm
- 20:39Speaker 1: in like X Game shows love, you know, Street League
- 20:41Speaker 1: shows love. And so now I'm here where it's like
- 20:44Speaker 1: I feel like it's like properly you know, being merged in.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And so you know, I'm still grinding, you know, I
- 20:48Speaker 1: know that chance that that crossover is it easy, you
- 20:51Speaker 1: know what I mean. But I'm willing to put in
- 20:53Speaker 1: the work, you know what I mean, to like put
- 20:55Speaker 1: the music out so that people can like, you know,
- 20:57Speaker 1: get that feeling of that passion through, you know what
- 20:58Speaker 1: I mean, and passion will be restaurers. So you know,
- 21:01Speaker 1: I wake up, you know, I go to the gym
- 21:03Speaker 1: at like seven, you know, eight in the morning. From there,
- 21:05Speaker 1: I go skate all day and then I'm at the
- 21:07Speaker 1: studio all night. Yeah, so I just wake up, I
- 21:12Speaker 1: go skate all day and then I go wrap. Fuck
- 21:17Speaker 1: so great. You don't have any kids, That's great, God
- 21:20Speaker 1: bless you. I fuck it just so jealous. Right now
- 21:25Speaker 1: I wake up. I got two kids to worry about.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I gotta worry about keeping my wife happy. Fucking eleven people.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I gotta help. We just so much. Yeah, Well, shout
- 21:33Speaker 1: out to you man. Yeah, so it's a blessing man,
- 21:35Speaker 1: Like I'm surrounded by a great group of people. And
- 21:37Speaker 1: so when you go skate all day, are you just practicing,
- 21:39Speaker 1: are you filming content or like both? You know, So
- 21:42Speaker 1: like some days we have sessions where we don't even film.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Some days we have sessions where it's like, oh, like
- 21:47Speaker 1: I want to get an edit done today, you know
- 21:48Speaker 1: what I mean, and like we'll make an edit and
- 21:49Speaker 1: post it. But every day it's really just like skating,
- 21:52Speaker 1: you know, fun, just like keeping it fun and music
- 21:55Speaker 1: helps me, you know, also keep skating fun because I
- 21:57Speaker 1: have another outlet, you know that I'm like passionate about.
- 21:59Speaker 1: So like it's the same stoke like when I'm skating,
- 22:01Speaker 1: I'm stoked to other studio, you know what I mean.
- 22:03Speaker 1: When I'm at the studio at night, like I'm stoked
- 22:05Speaker 1: to get on that board the next day, you know.
- 22:07Speaker 1: So it's cool and that's kind of how like you know,
- 22:10Speaker 1: like even like somebody like Tie is like when we
- 22:12Speaker 1: started linking up, you know, the first thing, I was like, yo,
- 22:15Speaker 1: like let's skate. Let's you know, like pull up and skate,
- 22:17Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And so like we just
- 22:18Speaker 1: like kind of built our friendship through that you know,
- 22:21Speaker 1: music not even being like anything, you know, and so
- 22:24Speaker 1: just like having that friendship based off that, you know,
- 22:26Speaker 1: I mean, him being in my rold and me being
- 22:28Speaker 1: able to be a part of his war, like the
- 22:30Speaker 1: constructive criticism and just the friendship in general is just
- 22:33Speaker 1: like inspiring to me. And it helps me, you know
- 22:35Speaker 1: what I mean, just like grow and push myself. And
- 22:37Speaker 1: you know, I tell all the homies that's a part
- 22:39Speaker 1: of my friend group and you know, new people, I mean,
- 22:41Speaker 1: and I'm like, yo, like like when I send you music, like, bro,
- 22:44Speaker 1: like tell me if it honest? Feedback is like bro,
- 22:47Speaker 1: I love it, like it's make me great, Like feedback
- 22:51Speaker 1: your music right now on the let's do it? What
- 22:55Speaker 1: song do you want me to listen to? I mean
- 22:58Speaker 1: the new one I just dropped Better Positions just came
- 22:59Speaker 1: out with a music video. That's the newest one. This
- 23:02Speaker 1: is live feedback, and I'm gonna be honest with you. Yeah,
- 23:04Speaker 1: you know I love it all right. It came out
- 23:06Speaker 1: five days ago. Where'd you shoot this at Arizona? All
- 23:10Speaker 1: of it looks like Arizona. This looks like Arizona Mountains.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Throw that bitch on the big TV let's do big TV.
- 23:18Speaker 1: So yeah, you just yeah, I could. I could do it.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I'm pretty good with that remote. All Right, we're gonna
- 23:27Speaker 1: do some honest feedback, as DJ head would like to
- 23:30Speaker 1: call it. Yeah, DJ, all right, this is gonna be good.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I'm excited. I'm not gonna lie. Dude. I heard you
- 23:39Speaker 1: were a skater and you're from Arizona, and I was like,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm in, let's go appreciate Arizona love. I'm gonna be honest.
- 23:45Speaker 1: If anybody's from Arizona that's doing ship. They have an
- 23:48Speaker 1: open chair here, always appreciated. Biased ez. All right, Deshaun Jordan,
- 23:57Speaker 1: here it is. Let's see which mountain is this? Now?
- 24:04Speaker 1: What's the mountain they found in? Like Scotsta area. The
- 24:08Speaker 1: homies just kind of like like location scout and stuff.
- 24:10Speaker 1: The homies who like film the video sick car. I
- 24:19Speaker 1: like the car so far good. The music hasn't started yet.
- 24:26Speaker 1: There's this Okay, You've been abducted everywhere to building just
- 24:50Speaker 1: to keep bring I'm a part of the moment, was
- 24:56Speaker 1: the one when you're the one distraction. I my sister
- 25:01Speaker 1: Vi and I came in the tick in the bagga.
- 25:04Speaker 1: They say I'm I'm seeing me like Cavin is welcome.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Benybody know what you want? Just different again kill me blasing,
- 25:16Speaker 1: ain't no money, give my cap. It's a good day.
- 25:21Speaker 1: It's a lot of mine. Shop what was the deafest base?
- 25:24Speaker 1: Expensive take away? Some time waited day, babies, A lot
- 25:30Speaker 1: of babies, my favorite. They said it wouldn't never be
- 25:35Speaker 1: because when the recovery focused on I have and my
- 25:38Speaker 1: walk becoming it, I'll be what no other? I like
- 25:50Speaker 1: the video. I like this. I mean it's a good record.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Thank you pretty seriously. It's like gives me some like
- 25:58Speaker 1: a you know, like kind of like some like CARDI.
- 26:01Speaker 1: You know, you know, some some young some young boys.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Shit for sure, but it's not bad. You know what
- 26:06Speaker 1: The person to ask would be Cyrus Floor is over
- 26:09Speaker 1: there because all he does is listen to Sofa go
- 26:11Speaker 1: and yeat. Appreciate it was solid. Appreciate it. Yeah that
- 26:17Speaker 1: was I gonna tell you this. It's better than ninety
- 26:18Speaker 1: nine percent of the shit coming out of Arizona. Appreciated. Yeah,
- 26:23Speaker 1: thank you, impressed. The video was super Who did the
- 26:25Speaker 1: video overcast? Are they form mazy? Yeah? They got that
- 26:28Speaker 1: channel with the umbrella. Yeah, with the umbrella. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:32Speaker 1: so like yeah, we just dropped that one. We got,
- 26:35Speaker 1: like I mean, I don't know, we probably like probably
- 26:37Speaker 1: not like over like a hundreds like songs, like I
- 26:40Speaker 1: literally like to try to record every day, but like
- 26:42Speaker 1: this was probably the last one I dropped, was like
- 26:44Speaker 1: a more anthem turn up, and this was probably like
- 26:47Speaker 1: the last anthem turnout with gonna do. And then like
- 26:49Speaker 1: the next stuff I'm coming out is like R and
- 26:51Speaker 1: B like feel good music is like that's kind of
- 26:53Speaker 1: rid of my pod because I really like be singing
- 26:55Speaker 1: and stuff. But I'm gonna like slow down and go
- 26:57Speaker 1: back to like dance tall vibes and stuff because I
- 26:59Speaker 1: like that type of music. I like making along with this.
- 27:01Speaker 1: But I really just, like I said, like I make
- 27:03Speaker 1: it and like ill sent to like Tye or like
- 27:05Speaker 1: the Homies and get the feedback my bro's and the studio,
- 27:07Speaker 1: you know what I mean, pat like like all the
- 27:09Speaker 1: engineers there, and then we just kind of like base
- 27:13Speaker 1: the rollout playing off that. It's like I really like,
- 27:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean, I really like being there
- 27:17Speaker 1: locked and just trying to make sure I'm making the
- 27:18Speaker 1: best music, you know what I mean. Like right like
- 27:20Speaker 1: you're writing everything or you're punching in. Uh, Like I
- 27:23Speaker 1: would go in the studio with the beat on punching
- 27:25Speaker 1: and probably like six different reps, like different melodies, then
- 27:27Speaker 1: figure out which on'm we gonna go with then just
- 27:29Speaker 1: like go from there. But like, yeah, I love music
- 27:33Speaker 1: and that's my whole goal is just to like you know,
- 27:35Speaker 1: like I know, like I said, I know, it's the
- 27:37Speaker 1: crossover is always hard. It's like, oh, it's skater Athley
- 27:39Speaker 1: trying to be but like I'm willing to put in
- 27:41Speaker 1: the work, you know what I mean. It's just like
- 27:43Speaker 1: definitely hard man because people are already gonna just have
- 27:45Speaker 1: I wouldn't even tell anybody you're a skater if they like,
- 27:47Speaker 1: if you meet them through music, just tell me you're
- 27:48Speaker 1: a music and then if they happen to find out
- 27:50Speaker 1: you're a fucking huge skater mm hm and like and
- 27:53Speaker 1: that's kind of how we like do it. We just
- 27:54Speaker 1: spind it like I show the music the music, I
- 27:56Speaker 1: make it separate, and if people like people come in
- 27:59Speaker 1: off the music and then by not skating, that's good
- 28:01Speaker 1: than skating vice versus. So you know, just really just
- 28:04Speaker 1: trying to like make sure you go out of the
- 28:05Speaker 1: most natural way and just like you know, doing it
- 28:08Speaker 1: to do it at a point to where it's like undeniable,
- 28:10Speaker 1: you know, like it's like you're gonna feel the passion
- 28:12Speaker 1: through like the work, you know what I mean, and
- 28:14Speaker 1: understand that, like you know, how we're dropping the quality
- 28:17Speaker 1: of things is like I'm not just like trying to
- 28:18Speaker 1: That was better than Yeat. Thank you. I'll tell you
- 28:21Speaker 1: that you're the one who put me on to Yeat.
- 28:25Speaker 1: But like, Yo, this dude's fire. This dude's fire, bro,
- 28:28Speaker 1: you should interview him. And I DMed him. I was
- 28:30Speaker 1: like yo, I of course he didn't reply. It's too
- 28:33Speaker 1: busy fucking being Yeat, you know. But that's better than Yeat.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Thank you. Better Hey, listen, I think also think happened
- 28:40Speaker 1: to be on the island by myself where I think
- 28:43Speaker 1: Playboy Cardi makes some of the worst music I've ever
- 28:45Speaker 1: heard of in my life. Better than Playboy Cardi, ladies,
- 28:47Speaker 1: and at least better than Hold Out of Red. That's
- 28:49Speaker 1: for fucking short. You say, Hey, we got to stop

- 31:21Speaker 1: let's be dun dunks are like I always just get
- 31:24Speaker 1: like all the dunks and they come out, you know
- 31:25Speaker 1: what I mean, Like, I like, they'll only send me
- 31:27Speaker 1: something like skating. I'm a nine damn you got a

- 31:43Speaker 1: you million. I just had to ship you a little,
- 31:44Speaker 1: you know. Carefter tapped in with p Rod. Yeah. I
- 31:47Speaker 1: was just kicking with him last night. That's that's the
- 31:48Speaker 1: big homie. Like we skate together every day. Like I
- 31:52Speaker 1: was actually talking to my my bro pad the way here.
- 31:54Speaker 1: I was like, bro, like last night it just dawned
- 31:56Speaker 1: on me. I was like, bro, like I grew up.
- 31:59Speaker 1: It was me, it was me him, Tory and Tory Powell,
- 32:01Speaker 1: and I was just kicking with him. You know, they
- 32:03Speaker 1: just put on old skate video just watching film with
- 32:05Speaker 1: like my o g Su really took you know, skating
- 32:08Speaker 1: to that level, and it was one of them. I
- 32:10Speaker 1: was just tripping, like you know, gott in the hot tubs,
- 32:12Speaker 1: just topping up just my career stuff. And I was like, bro,
- 32:14Speaker 1: like it's a blessing to beer. I'm just like kicking
- 32:17Speaker 1: it with like my favorite skaters right now, you know,
- 32:19Speaker 1: like sometimes it just be tripping me out. And that's
- 32:21Speaker 1: funny you said that. I literally just with them last night. Yeah,
- 32:24Speaker 1: I mean he's the guy when I think of like
- 32:25Speaker 1: Nike skating again. Yeah, me and him are on the
- 32:28Speaker 1: start together. It's just me and him right now, the
- 32:29Speaker 1: only two people on the Yeah, who do you have
- 32:32Speaker 1: like h on the Mount Rushmore of street Skating Man
- 32:37Speaker 1: Mount Rushmore Street Skating. I might even go over because
- 32:41Speaker 1: I got I was solid. I say probably like four okay,
- 32:45Speaker 1: mine is Paul's up there for show, Eric Costin, Guy, Mariano, Heath, Kirchard,
- 32:55Speaker 1: Mark Johnson, like those like those like those are like
- 32:58Speaker 1: my list and those like when I think about it,
- 33:01Speaker 1: just like not only like tricks a style, just like
- 33:05Speaker 1: you know how I had ericson shoes at point he
- 33:09Speaker 1: had he had a fire shoot Atn's. Uh No he
- 33:13Speaker 1: was on uh No. Eric Costa was on S. Yeah,
- 33:17Speaker 1: it was it was S. That's what it was. I
- 33:19Speaker 1: knew there was an E. Yeah, Eric Costing. I'm trying
- 33:24Speaker 1: to think. What about on the bird side obviously Tony
- 33:27Speaker 1: the verse side, Yeah, Tony obviously, like you know O
- 33:30Speaker 1: g legend pioneer. I would say Bob Burnquist. Burn Quist
- 33:34Speaker 1: was that guy. He's resilient, right, yeah, I think I
- 33:38Speaker 1: used to be him on Tony He's like King of Members.
- 33:40Speaker 1: I went there for a contest and like they're like, yeah,
- 33:42Speaker 1: they're gonna have a little function at like Bob's Island.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Is the guy who I always wanted to party with
- 33:47Speaker 1: as a kid. Chad Muska what would he? Musca street
- 33:51Speaker 1: skating street legend. He pulled up like some of the
- 33:53Speaker 1: skate contests and like kicks on the side and watches it.
- 33:55Speaker 1: He's still laid back. Oh his vibes. I remember him
- 33:59Speaker 1: have some fly ship to some gear. Super you had
- 34:02Speaker 1: the musket highs Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah damn the Super
- 34:05Speaker 1: era Yeah, Super Crew era it was like Super Crew
- 34:11Speaker 1: and I rode. I rode for them for a little
- 34:13Speaker 1: bit when I was younger, so it was like that
- 34:15Speaker 1: was like Antoine and all those dudes were still on.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Like I remember going and seeing like TK at the
- 34:18Speaker 1: warehouse and being like, oh my God, like TK, like
- 34:22Speaker 1: Antoine like and those like those dudes had like the
- 34:24Speaker 1: best selling shoes on Super too. Wobe the advice you
- 34:27Speaker 1: would give some kids that are skating, they're twelve, thirteen, fifteen,
- 34:31Speaker 1: they're just skating and enjoying it, but they maybe they
- 34:33Speaker 1: want to figure out like try to explore, you know,
- 34:36Speaker 1: a professional route. Man, My advice would say is like
- 34:41Speaker 1: stay true to yourself, you know what I mean. Stay hungry,
- 34:44Speaker 1: stay humble. I don't put a date on success, you
- 34:47Speaker 1: know what I mean. And don't don't don't do things
- 34:50Speaker 1: out of expectation, you know, and meaning like you know,
- 34:53Speaker 1: just grind like hard work never goes unnoticed, you know
- 34:55Speaker 1: what I mean. I feel like I've been on both
- 34:56Speaker 1: sides of it, you know what I mean, just like
- 34:58Speaker 1: like dreaming about that time to come and like compare
- 35:01Speaker 1: myself to people like I had to like get out
- 35:03Speaker 1: of that like state of mind just be like yo,
- 35:04Speaker 1: just like stay in your lane, stay two to yourself
- 35:06Speaker 1: and just grind like people will notice, you know what
- 35:08Speaker 1: I mean, People will notice the hard work. And I
- 35:10Speaker 1: was blessed to have people around me that like help me,
- 35:12Speaker 1: you know, stay on my toes about that too, and
- 35:14Speaker 1: so yeah, just keep your head down, man, be confident,
- 35:17Speaker 1: you know what I mean, and just believe you know,
- 35:19Speaker 1: I mean, there's no limit on dreaming and there's no
- 35:21Speaker 1: limit on like what you can do. So you know,
- 35:23Speaker 1: Scott Scott, I always say sky ain't the limit. People
- 35:25Speaker 1: say Sky's limit. I say sky ain't the limit, you know,
- 35:27Speaker 1: I mean, because you could dream beyond that and just
- 35:29Speaker 1: take whatever you want to the next level. So look,
- 35:31Speaker 1: you got new music out, Yeah, more coming soon. Run
- 35:34Speaker 1: it up. Yeah, go follow with your ig. Yeah, just
- 35:37Speaker 1: Deshaun Jordan following. Guy. Appreciate you pulling up man, Thank
