  today, Yesterday, on Monday, Ford Motor Company, here's what

  they said. They said that big electrical

  vehicles, now the shortcut is called EVs.

  You've noticed when people trying to be cool EVs, oh you

  mean electric vehicle like like I'm supposed to know what EV

  means. You know because they know I'm

  supposed to know. Don't you ever find that strange

  when when people think you should know everything they

  know, but you don't know that you didn't know that E VS met

  electric vehicles. So anyway, Ford Motor Company,

  they announced that the Ford F-150, their big electrical
• 0:56
  vehicle truck, it just don't sell and Ford Motor Company

  announced that they are going to quit making big electrical
• 1:08
  vehicles and they are going to start focusing on a more
• 1:12
  affordable electrical vehicle EV.

  OK, I want to talk about this because there are times that,

  you know, you got the mob and the mobs over here.

  I hate electrical vehicles. Bring me AV8 engine, you know,

  and they go all redneck on me. Well, I'm a redneck too,

  everybody. I am a redneck.

  However, I feel like there's a time and a place for electric.

  For example, I love my electric golf cart.

  I love my electric tools. You know when I'm at the

  racetrack and I don't have time to start the generator up and

  run an extension cord for an electric impact?

  I have a battery impact, a battery drill, a battery blower.

  You get the point, right? There is a time and place for

  all electric and you know, we got batteries and we charge them

  up. It's just it's the way to go.

  You just can't, you know, ignore the fact that there are a lot of

  things that are electric that are way better.

  One of my favorite things that are electric is my Burl Max

  little motorcycle that I'd run around the the pit area at the

  dirt tracks. Now I use this little electrical
• 2:51
  Burl Max, if that's the brand name Burl Max.

  What I like about it is there are times I'm parked half a mile
• 2:58
  from the racetrack and I need to look at the dirt because I'm a

  dirt racer and I get on my little Burl Max electric
• 3:05
  motorcycle and I go out to the racetrack and I look at the dirt
• 3:08
  racing surface. And then that helps me make a

  decision on what type of chassis adjustment I need to make on my

  race car. So I, I think there's a time and

  a place for all electric. However, here's my opinion on

  the EV vehicles. I think that sometimes people

  try to push things and make things happen and they, they,
• 3:40
  the people aren't ready. So for example, I think the
• 3:46
  Tesla car is a beautiful car. It's, and I've been in one.

  They're really nice. I like the Tesla car.

  However, you know you're going to get the rebate.

  Let's just, let's just say a number for the hell of it.

  Let's say you spend $45,000 on the Tesla car and it's nice.

  It'll do everything you want it to do.

  And then they give you say $10,000 back or $5000 back,

  whatever the figure is. OK, You get a big rebate back

  from the federal government because they want to push
• 4:26
  electric vehicles. What they don't tell you is that

  now that you've got this Tesla that I like and everybody likes,

  now you got to rewire your house.

  Now you got to put in a charging system in your garage, which is

  fine, and that's all good. Now where it goes bad is when

  you want to go down to Springfield, MO, you know, 3

  hours, 45 minutes from here, you got to stop because you can't

  make it all the way and you, you need to find a charger.

  Oh, well, we're working on that. And there's just not enough

  charging stations. So a little electric car is nice

  for around town, but electric vehicles are not viable yet for
• 5:16
  the whole world. Hell, California can't even keep
• 5:21
  their electric going for normal everyday things in California,
• 5:27
  and then the grid will shut down.

  We cannot get people to put in electrical stations.

  You got to search them out. Where are they all?

  There's one over here in East Egypt.

  Hey, I need to charge my car. Where are they at?

  Well, if you go to Lowe's over there 20 miles away, they got a
• 5:48
  charging station out in the parking lot.

  So in ending, there's a time and place for electric and I told

  you where the time and place is for electric.

  Everything that's an electric is not bad.

  However, as far as an electric pickup truck, a full blown

  electric pickup truck, people are not ready for that.

  And here's why there are two. I was going to say mother

  inexpensive, but then I decided not to use the word mother.

  All right, everybody, I just think that this was worth

  talking about. It was World News.

  So where do you stand on electric?

  I told you where I stand. I said there's a time and place

  because all of us redneck dirt racers, we used the hell out of

  electric vehicles, electric burl maxes, electric drill, electric

  impact, electric leaf blowers. It's fantastic.

  But as far as going, you know, 4 hours up the road, they just

  ain't going to happen. Now it's all it all sounds rosy

  until you, you can't keep your going.

  So Ford Motor Company, I read the whole article.

  The article reads like this. We're going to quit pushing

  electric vehicles because they're too expensive to build

  and we the the public sentiment, they're not ready.

  We're going to quit pushing big electric Ford pickup trucks and

  we're going to work on making smaller, more affordable

  electric vehicles. That's fine with me.

  The world's just not ready for all electric yet.
