- 0:07I've done my sentence but committed no crime.
- 0:14I've had mistakes, I've made a few.
- 0:21I've had my shaft shack into my face.
- 0:30Oh my God, I hate you. I hate.
- 0:34You no. Why are you doing this?
- 0:41When did you get that made? Little cousin.
- 0:45Oh my God, he knows the guy. Is he even going to show up
- 0:49today? We just got to just look at this
- 0:50for the whole, the whole. Hour.
- 0:52I don't know man. Can you, can we, can we hurry up
- 0:57please? Hopefully he comes on this, he's
- 1:01like, he has this, he has this like rehearsed.
- 1:03Yeah, he does. He's been doing it all day.
- 1:05He's been one. He's been he's.
- 1:06Been thinking about that. For like 5 games.
- 1:12Oh, I hate you. Hello everyone.
- 1:16Hello and welcome to episode 88 of Draft Offsides.
- 1:19I'm with Tico Enzo. My name is Keith and
- 1:23congratulations to Tico, our league winner.
- 1:25We are covering the last few, the last two weeks of the
- 1:29season. We're gonna talk through some
- 1:31stuff and just some kind of strats.
- 1:34I think. I think from waivers standpoint
- 1:35right now, it's just you're just trying to ride the hot hand.
- 1:38Anyone who's been scoring and feeling good.
- 1:40And you got to think psychologically, some of these
- 1:42teams are just checked out on the beach.
- 1:45Other teams really playing for something.
- 1:46So you gotta really think about that.
- 1:48So let's get into games. Let's just kick it off.
- 1:50First one, Spur 0 Palace 2 Enzo, do you want to just give up like
- 1:57a few words or do you think it doesn't even matter do?
- 1:59You even care? I don't think it matters.
- 2:00He didn't even fucking put out a full line up.
- 2:03The only thing that was key in this game was Cooler got injured
- 2:07in 20 minutes. Besides that, Palace put out a
- 2:11full team and they deserve the win. 2 nil.
- 2:15Eze 26 points and a brace. He looked very good.
- 2:19He's it's going to be so he was last year was going at the end
- 2:23of the first or like first few picks of the second.
- 2:26I think he probably stays right about in those that position.
- 2:29Yeah, I think that's probably where he is.
- 2:32Kinski 18.5 points is that that's the keeper.
- 2:35That's the keeper, so we didn't even play you.
- 2:37Know. Sorry, Keeper.
- 2:39So he had 18.5 points in the LED in two goals.
- 2:41So that says a lot about the the pressure he was under.
- 2:45Yep. So it's a lot about Tottenham.
- 2:47Yeah, Gwahee 15.75 Richards 15.75 S the Crystal Palace
- 2:51defenders stepped up yeah, that cool injury you talked about
- 2:55Spurs officially in 17th place. Is there a?
- 2:57Is there a chance for? What's the difference between
- 2:59them and? United 1 point.
- 3:01It's a one point difference. It's it's a one point difference
- 3:04from 13 to 17. Like one point each.
- 3:06So oh. Interesting.
- 3:08So there could still be some movement.
- 3:11I mean, if you spend like both of these guys, both of these
- 3:13made United and Spurs, it's like these games don't matter.
- 3:17They're just, and it's not even, I don't even think the morale
- 3:19can be that shattered because they're just so focused on
- 3:22Europa League. No one cares but feels like no
- 3:24one gives a shit. I mean, yeah, I think especially
- 3:27for Spurs, they probably know next year they're gonna have a
- 3:29different manager, so who cares? They don't need to, like,
- 3:31impress the current manager. Yeah, and also that's true.
- 3:33I don't know if it's at this point it's relevant or not, but
- 3:35James Madison is dumb for the year he's injured, that's all.
- 3:39So, yeah, so. Yeah, so interesting,
- 3:44interesting stuff. I think Palace has been kind of
- 3:46a surprise in the second-half of the season.
- 3:49You know, they've really stepped it up.
- 3:50Chris Richards, some of these guys are really just like
- 3:52looking so, so strong. What do we think?
- 3:55So Daniel Munez, 24 points as well.
- 3:58He had a very solid 1. Ishmael SAR, 12.75 Mateta 11/5.
- 4:02I mean I'm counting 12345678 players that had 10 plus points
- 4:07in this game. They had a field day.
- 4:10Two players with 25 plus at most.
- 4:12Yeah. So bit of a bit of a massacre.
- 4:17OK Next game, Fulham won. Everton 3.
- 4:19Fulham scored first in this game with a nice relevant his header.
- 4:24It really, I think I almost texted you on the side because
- 4:27our boy looked good with that goal.
- 4:28But Everton kind of stormed back and Fulham just feels like
- 4:31they've kind of lost the plot a little bit last few weeks.
- 4:34Well, no, they don't have any rich teams anymore.
- 4:36So they're giving, they're giving everything back.
- 4:38They're. Giving everything back.
- 4:39I was surprised too. They only have one win in the
- 4:41last five. Keene scored a goal, so he had
- 4:4221.5 points. Good for him.
- 4:45I mean, who knows if he's going to be there next season.
- 4:48He's kind of lost the starting spot.
- 4:50You know, he's kind of like not as relevant.
- 4:53No, I do have an autographed card of his, so I kind of always
- 4:57like Keene. It's worth about $3 because he's
- 5:00not that relevant, but it's kind of cool.
- 5:03Beto 19 points, got a goals two games.
- 5:07Of the rules. Two games, two goals.
- 5:09That was one. That was one of my waiver risks.
- 5:10Yep. I also want to shout out our
- 5:14favorite one of my favorite players I hate, Emil Smith Rowe
- 5:16was involved for the Fulham goal.
- 5:20So. You think he's going to still be
- 5:21there next season? Yeah, he'll be there next
- 5:23season. He'll be there because where
- 5:24does he go? I mean, who's going to want him?
- 5:26It's not like I don't think he's been exactly lighting it up, I
- 5:28think. But I think you could.
- 5:29You got to say that he's been a little bit of a bummer, yeah.
- 5:31Signing for them what they paid for him and stuff.
- 5:33I think all the Arsenal X signings have been pre horrible
- 5:37in their new teams. Yeah, it's like the the inverse
- 5:40of Manchester United where all the Manchester United players go
- 5:42somewhere and like excel and all the Arsenal players go there and
- 5:45kind of underwhelm. Yep.
- 5:48I think I'm trying to think of the last Arsenal player that was
- 5:51bad for them and it was good somewhere else.
- 5:54It's like Alex Iwobi. Alex Iwobi.
- 5:57Like has there really been someone that like left there and
- 6:00has been good? William Gallas.
- 6:03Well, that was so long ago. Maybe Bellerin kind of went to
- 6:06Is he Aunt Bettis? No, he started.
- 6:07He started. He started modeling.
- 6:10Yeah, maybe. Now he's Ryan Books.
- 6:13Respect it, respect the hustle. Giroux, I feel like he will.
- 6:17Yeah, he was better outside. Yeah, he was outside better.
- 6:20But but I also feel like he was almost like too good for them.
- 6:23Like they didn't. They didn't realize.
- 6:24What they had, they didn't deserve.
- 6:25Him, Yeah. They didn't deserve him.
- 6:26Like they, they didn't think. They thought that he wasn't good
- 6:29enough for them. And he went on to prove that he
- 6:30was. Yeah.
- 6:30They were always trying to find a better striker when they had
- 6:32it, yeah. Exactly, and they didn't
- 6:34appreciate what he did for the team.
- 6:36OK, next game, Newcastle to Chelsea 0.
- 6:39This one stung. Newcastle scored early.
- 6:42They were really dominant in that first half.
- 6:45Nicholas Jackson freaking Kung Fu elbowed some the the defender
- 6:52and got a red card in the 35th minute.
- 6:54And that just really screwed up Chelsea.
- 6:56And even though they looked, even though Chelsea looked
- 6:58pretty good in the second-half, they they actually played really
- 7:01well in the second-half with 10 men.
- 7:02But it just they couldn't break down a really well organized
- 7:05Newcastle team with 10 men game ended up 10.
- 7:08So it's a total drag. Dan Byrne 23 points, got the
- 7:12assist on the oh, sorry, game ended 20 because Bruno Bruno
- 7:14Gumrah scored at the very end. But Dan Byrne got 23 points and
- 7:18got the assist on the second goal to Nali got the first goal,
- 7:2018 points. He's had a really strong
- 7:22second-half of the season. Murphy's 60.25 points, got an
- 7:26assist. Livamento 15.25 points, man, a
- 7:29lot of a lot of high scores. Anthony Gordon got the start,
- 7:32but was very, very, very underwhelming.
- 7:35It was pretty shut down. So that's interesting.
- 7:40Yeah, it's like you think, but he'll start next season.
- 7:43I think it's just because it's the end of the season and Barnes
- 7:45is the hot hand. It always seemed like Barnes was
- 7:48going to be in the backup. Yeah, I think, I mean, you, when
- 7:52Anthony Gordon came back, you were, you weren't going to just
- 7:54sub him in because Barnes had been scoring goals.
- 7:56And so it took, what it took was him not scoring for a few games
- 8:00and then to to put him back in. I will say, though, I think
- 8:03Newcastle really surprised Chelsea with their lineup.
- 8:04They wanted the back three and they had wingbacks.
- 8:06They had, they had Murphy playing as a wingback in this
- 8:08game, you know, and then and then they had like Gordon and
- 8:11Barnes underneath Isaac. So it's just I think the
- 8:14difference in lineup really took Chelsea by surprise.
- 8:18Keith, I was surprised you left your Newcastle players on the
- 8:20bench. Was it just kind of like a
- 8:22Chelsea fan? Yeah, it was a little biased.
- 8:25I mean it literally it cost me the matchup, yeah, leaving burn
- 8:28on the bench. But I just felt like there was I
- 8:29thought there was going to be more in this game just because
- 8:31they both needed goals. And if if I thought if Newcastle
- 8:34scored early that Chelsea would really push.
- 8:36You're trying to get one. And Chelsea's been scoring a lot
- 8:37of goals recently. Yeah.
- 8:39And then like, and the alternatives were matchups I
- 8:41thought were better, like full inverse.
- 8:43Like full inverse Everton in my mind, I thought would be a lower
- 8:46scoring game than it was. I didn't think full let 3IN.
- 8:48Well, so you had a forced defender against Leicester City
- 8:51debt that they let into. Yeah.
- 8:53So that, yeah. Makes sense, yeah.
- 8:55I think the match ups for me, it just it felt like there were
- 8:57stronger match ups elsewhere, but it bit me in the ass
- 9:00totally. I totally but but but just I
- 9:03just can't make a right decision right now.
- 9:05Every decision I make is wrong. So one of those I'm just kind of
- 9:08used to it just rolling with the punches.
- 9:10Very underwhelming game for Palmer 5.5 points not so did
- 9:13barely anything. I mean most of the attacking
- 9:15players, it's kind of understood.
- 9:17I think that red card just. Yeah, Matter.
- 9:19Wacky didn't do too much. Yeah, I think killed the game.
- 9:22Yeah, that red card killed the game.
- 9:23That also killed my my matchup. I lost my 4 points and Jackson
- 9:27got -6 point. Five, do we think that the way
- 9:31the year is ending is dropping Cole Palmer's stock for next
- 9:35year's draft or you guys aren't really factory factoring in
- 9:37house? I think it will slightly, I
- 9:40think, I think he will say, I think you're drafting us all
- 9:42ahead of Cole Palmer now. I would.
- 9:44Yeah, because coming into the year, I feel like a lot of
- 9:47people had them like top three to five after the Bruno Holland
- 9:50Saka. Yeah, but when you're looking at
- 9:53it, the last sentence, January 15, he's only scored one goal
- 9:57and that was the penalty. Yeah, and he's had what, two or
- 10:00three assists? He's had a very bad. 2020 second
- 10:03Office. Yeah, really, really bad.
- 10:05I mean, it's well documented. I think it's a combination of
- 10:08things, I think, but I think partially is that teams have
- 10:10figured out how to contain him a little bit.
- 10:11No, he spoke about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:16But he needs to, he needs to be smart and figure out how to just
- 10:20like, you know, if teams are figuring out how to stop you,
- 10:22the best players then figure out how to kind of like be one step
- 10:25ahead of these other teams and do other things.
- 10:28So that's on him. You have to figure it out.
- 10:30I think that there is a that leaves a little bit of a
- 10:32question mark there. So I mean, what you're going to
- 10:34take, you know, Saka, Holland, Bruno.
- 10:39Masalas. Sala.
- 10:41So that's what, 4 And then I mean, are you gonna take, Who
- 10:44else are you gonna take ahead of you suck?
- 10:46You suck. You think you take you suck
- 10:47ahead of them. Ollie Watkins.
- 10:49No, Yeah. I mean, who else are you gonna?
- 10:54I mean, really, who else are you gonna take ahead of them?
- 10:55Maybe you suck. Would you take Cunya ahead of
- 10:57Cole Palmer? That's a hard one.
- 11:00Well, is Cunya playing for Wolves or United?
- 11:03That's the question, I guess. I think I think honestly the
- 11:06biggest issue, like with Palmer dropping further, is that it's
- 11:10not like there's all these names that are really clamoring to.
- 11:14Overtake his body? Yeah, yeah.
- 11:17It's not like we've had all these breakout stars this
- 11:19season, so I think he'll probably be there just by
- 11:21default right now, even with the bad end.
- 11:25But OK, next game. United 0 West Ham 2 Wandasaka
- 11:3023.5 points Got an assist? SU Chuk 19.5 points You saw him
- 11:34spinning where he just says he scores and he spins around like
- 11:36like he's dizzy. I kind of like, I like the
- 11:38celebration. It's very memorable.
- 11:40It's very him, you know? He's having a great end to the
- 11:43season. He does this every season.
- 11:46He just goes. He just scores goals.
- 11:47I feel like. I mean, I, I'm not sure if I
- 11:49just always like I see him, but I feel like he's such a good
- 11:52goal scorer, midfielder. Yeah.
- 11:55Iola, the keeper with the clean sheet got 17 points, Diallo 15
- 11:59points. So you know it's right on his
- 12:02hit his average points per start.
- 12:04Yep. James Ward Prowse rare start got
- 12:0614.5. Good for him.
- 12:08Was that all ghost points? They didn't get no assists.
- 12:11Don't they get a point? Doesn't he get a point for a
- 12:13tennis sheet cuz he's from the. Middle, it's one, yeah, yeah,
- 12:16but still it's really solid game.
- 12:17United and 16th, so they're what?
- 12:19They're one point ahead of Tottenham, so.
- 12:22That's crazy that those 17 and six teams in the Europa final.
- 12:26Yep, we'll see how much they care.
- 12:31Well, she plays United next week.
- 12:33United managed to RIP them and you won after the game in the
- 12:35post match interview just yeah, no sense of urgency.
- 12:38And then he said it's not just on the players, it's on
- 12:40management and everyone else. And if it continues then the
- 12:42club has to look at everyone pretty much.
- 12:44But. Interesting, but it's also like.
- 12:48We mentioned it about when we're talking about Tottenham is
- 12:50difficult when the year's coming to and you're not playing
- 12:52anything but at the same time you have a huge match cut coming
- 12:54up and the the Europa final. But luckily both of the teams
- 12:58are in the same situation so both of them have lackluster
- 13:01attitude towards it. Totally.
- 13:03It's just a really weird situation.
- 13:05You'll probably never see this again.
- 13:07Yeah, you know what I mean. Kind of.
- 13:09It's a very unique situation. They have nothing to play for
- 13:12and honestly, whoever wins that game, their season will be kind
- 13:16of salvage. Yeah, whoever loses that game,
- 13:20it's a disaster of a season. It will be, yeah, it will be
- 13:23like their best, worst season. Yeah, but even just the fact of
- 13:27winning a trophy for either of those teams would be huge just
- 13:29for morale at the end of the season.
- 13:32And financially it'll be huge to be able to play in Europe.
- 13:34So definitely it's like it's life changing for a lot of
- 13:39people. It's definitely bigger for
- 13:40Tottenham than he is. Gomeo and I won the FA Cup last
- 13:43year and they won the League Cup the year before that and
- 13:46Tottenham we don't win Cup. It would mean a lot more.
- 13:49It would. Mean a lot more Tottenham, yeah.
- 13:50Would United do parade for Europa?
- 13:53The Chelsea do praise for Europa.
- 13:55I'm sure they would. I'm sure they would.
- 13:57Oh yeah. Should we move on?
- 13:58Yeah. Liverpool 2, Arsenal 2.
- 14:02Kinda Back and forth game. Arsenal kinda I mean Liverpool
- 14:06went up to oh, Arsenal clotted back, got a red at the end, but
- 14:09then we're able to hold on. Diaz 16.5 points, scored a goal,
- 14:14GAC poke sort of goal as well. Odegard 15 points.
- 14:17He's kind of showed up that, you know, too little, too late from
- 14:20him. Charles started 14 points.
- 14:22He came on. Did he come on?
- 14:23Did he sub on? Did he?
- 14:24Manage No, he started started OK.
- 14:26Also I would say, well, Big Art came on at the right time when
- 14:28he was on my team. So, you know, I'm done with
- 14:31that. Yeah, Marino, Marino got the
- 14:33second goal for Arsenal, but then he was also the one that
- 14:35got the red later for a bad challenge.
- 14:36So he'll miss a game, but just cuz there was a double, like
- 14:39Jackson's out for the season and also like for Chelsea, Jackson's
- 14:42out for the season and the first game of next season, Marino will
- 14:45just miss one game. Yeah, so that's what it is.
- 14:49Arsenal gave the guard of an honor.
- 14:50Skelly not into it. What does that mean?
- 14:52He. Just wasn't paying attention.
- 14:54He was just like. Maybe he didn't know what the
- 14:57guard of honor was. Not even like clapping, he just
- 14:59didn't care. I mean, I get it.
- 15:02That's the weird thing. I feel you should do that like
- 15:03once so I know every team has to give the guard of honor until
- 15:06the end. Of the season until the end of
- 15:07the season. Arteta also ripped the way that
- 15:11Arsenal played after the game I'm sure.
- 15:15Did you guys see some of his quotes?
- 15:17Arteta? Like the unhinged, like he's
- 15:19like losing his. He looks like he's having like a
- 15:20nervous breakdown. Not even that.
- 15:22Like during the Champions League, how they were the better
- 15:24team. Yeah.
- 15:25And then when he was saying Liverpool wanted with like 80
- 15:28something points, I had 90 something points last year.
- 15:30Like, can loser talk? Get the hell out of your Arteta
- 15:34over that guy. It's just a lot of, I don't
- 15:35know, I think he's just kind of a loser.
- 15:38Like he's just, he has like kind of a loser.
- 15:40He meant like that whiny mentality and I don't know,
- 15:44something about our eyes really runs me the wrong.
- 15:46Way, it's his face. Let's be honest, it's his face.
- 15:48This is so punchable. Do you agree, Anzo?
- 15:51Keith, can you ask Anzo if he agrees that it's his face?
- 15:54And what do you think about Arteta's face?
- 15:56I think. It looks like a Lego head, so
- 15:58yeah, I wanna punch his face. Very punchable, but yeah, go
- 16:03ahead. No, I was just gonna talk about
- 16:06the it's not in the recap, But how surprising was the City in
- 16:08Southampton Game 00 with how long playing in like KDB?
- 16:13Yeah, I mean, kudos to Southampton.
- 16:15They they were able to hold on They and they're officially not
- 16:19the worst team in the history of the Premier League.
- 16:21They were tied for the being having the lowest point total in
- 16:24the history of Premier League with Darby and they officially
- 16:26are not that, so good for them. I thought it was interesting.
- 16:30So I picked up Ederson in one of our leagues this week thinking
- 16:33like I'll get clean sheet automatic and I got the clean
- 16:38sheet. But that's literally the only
- 16:39points he scored. He had six points for just a
- 16:41clean sheet and he had no saves, no high claims, no nothing.
- 16:47What a cheer at the end of the game though.
- 16:48What a fucking cheer from the crowd.
- 16:50You never seen this crowd. Good for them, I think.
- 16:53They're kiss, man. See.
- 16:54Come on. Yeah, it's huge.
- 16:55Yeah. It's also that kind of, I mean.
- 16:58That hurt man. See.
- 16:58Yeah, I just, I just kept the like the door open for the top 4
- 17:02stuff too. So interesting.
- 17:05Did you guys see Ruben Diaz said How?
- 17:08Like they were not even trying to play football or something
- 17:10along those lines and then Satan to send out a tweet?
- 17:12Imagine now playing football and still going away with one point.
- 17:16And there's another one of the fans was like, mate, look at us.
- 17:19We we haven't played foot. We, we suck.
- 17:20Like what? What do you expect us to do, you
- 17:22know? Yeah, like I said.
- 17:23That, yeah, that's what it. I mean, they should have been
- 17:26not trying to play football earlier in the season.
- 17:27They could have got some more points probably.
- 17:29One point at a time. Yeah, exactly.
- 17:32The other game I want to chat touch briefly on is the
- 17:35Nottingham Forest to Leicester 2.
- 17:38That was a huge game in the top four race because now it's
- 17:40looking like it's still, it's still up for grabs, you know,
- 17:45because we're looking at Newcastle United on 66 points,
- 17:50City on 65, Chelsea on 63, Villa on 63, Forest on 62.
- 17:54Each have two more games to play.
- 17:56So it's just it's up for it. And then Forest plays Chelsea
- 18:01the last game of the season and Arsenal plays Newcastle next
- 18:05week. So there could still be some
- 18:07major fluctuations. Didn't forest lock up Europa?
- 18:12They locked up Europe. They locked up Europe.
- 18:14Maybe. I mean, if they lose both of
- 18:16their games, they could potentially go to conference,
- 18:19but they've definitely locked up Europe.
- 18:21So good for them, you know? And then you mentioned on the
- 18:26player recaps about the owner coming down.
- 18:28Yeah. So, yeah, so the owner for not
- 18:32only forces, he's known as being a very colorful character, kind
- 18:34of a larger life, crazy Greek shipping guy or something.
- 18:38And after the game, because they were up to oh, right.
- 18:40And they no, they're up to one, no 2121.
- 18:44And that he came down onto the pitch and started yelling at,
- 18:46you know, Espirito Santos, like on the pitch in front of it.
- 18:49That's like crazy behavior. Yeah, that was behavior from an
- 18:53owner. That was some Ted Lasso shit,
- 18:54man. It really was.
- 18:55And like, yeah, it's just wild. And what just happens there?
- 18:59He had the if you think about it, if he had got the three
- 19:01points there, that was one step closer to being.
- 19:04Yes, top four, I think. I mean, I think that guy is
- 19:08already counting his chickens. Yeah, he was.
- 19:09Champions League. He wants it, yeah, so badly.
- 19:11But. It's also like it's football and
- 19:14A&B, like you're not even supposed to be there.
- 19:16Like to to have that type of reaction in a situation like
- 19:19these guys are given their all all season.
- 19:21I think they would do good in Europa next season.
- 19:24I think don't get wrong, it'll be.
- 19:25What do you think you do? Oh yeah, it'll be like like life
- 19:28changing for that team, I think. You know, if they go to
- 19:31Champions League I think they'd get battered majority again
- 19:35depending if they play against. So yeah, especially if wooded is
- 19:37all all they just a striker. So apparently the reason he was
- 19:40upset is because they play Taiwan Iwani, who's he thought
- 19:43the owner thought he was injured, he wasn't going to
- 19:45play, and I guess he missed the chance towards the end of the
- 19:47game. So the owner came up to talk to
- 19:49the manager. Like what the Hell's going on
- 19:50with the situation? Interesting.
- 19:53Yeah, but that's not really his. That's not his decision at all
- 19:56Yeah. In that game, more games, White
- 19:59scored 24.5 points. He had a goal and an assist.
- 20:02Really strong game from him. Anthony Elenga 16.5 points got
- 20:06an assist, you know he's like his assist up which are pretty
- 20:08crazy. Elenga's.
- 20:10He's, he's had a great season, man.
- 20:12Yeah, when's he got like he's had a really.
- 20:14Good. He's got 10 assists.
- 20:17Pulling it up right now, he is, yeah.
- 20:20Six goals and assists. Yeah.
- 20:22But last year he was at five goals and 9 assists.
- 20:25Yeah. And for one SO.
- 20:27He's, I think he's, I mean, he's been great.
- 20:29He kind of had a little bit of a cold streak, but he popped back
- 20:32in for this one. Third round, fourth round.
- 20:34What I've noticed is that a lot of these teams that get into
- 20:36Europe when they're not and they play well the next season cuz
- 20:39they're in Europe. They saw it just.
- 20:40So much harder. Yeah, yeah, you've seen it.
- 20:42I mean, you saw it with Newcastle two years ago, you saw
- 20:44it with Villa a little bit this year, and even with Villa you
- 20:48saw that them getting a bunch of players didn't necessarily fix
- 20:51it. I think it's part of it's
- 20:52mental, yeah. You know, it's like there's
- 20:54obviously the physical aspect of it, but there's also just
- 20:56mentally getting geared up, like playing a game on a Tuesday or
- 20:58Wednesday, then getting geared up for the Premier League, play
- 21:01it, you know. So yeah, I think for a lot of
- 21:03them it's a it's a learning process.
- 21:05We'll see that like if seems like Newcastle is going to make
- 21:07top four if they they're going to obviously going to have to
- 21:10buy some players this year. The thing is that they've got a
- 21:13really good team, I think they've got some good depth in
- 21:15scenarios, but I feel like right back, I think centre back they
- 21:19should be fine, but they need someone to back up frigging
- 21:22Hissac. And that's what they need, Yeah.
- 21:24You don't think Cal Wilson's got it anymore?
- 21:26No, he hasn't even replayed this season, and there's a reason for
- 21:28it. Yeah.
- 21:29Well, because he has, he sacks in front of him, but yeah, yeah.
- 21:33Well, he's also got he hasn't like last season that didn't
- 21:36affect him like when he sack was out and he got the opportunity,
- 21:38he scored goals. Yeah, Yeah.
- 21:40So. OK, a couple other just quick
- 21:43notes. We talked about Jimenez.
- 21:44He had 19.5 points going on assists like solid.
- 21:47Kevin Shada continued his strong.
- 21:50Sade continued his strong run. This is his third game with like
- 21:5415 plus points. He had a goal.
- 21:56It was a really good goal, really well taken header that
- 21:58was like in from a very tough angle, pretty impressive.
- 22:01Benderak 18.25 points for Southampton.
- 22:04Martinez. Is that Villas Martinez?
- 22:07Yep, the keeper 18 points. Ramsdale 17 points.
- 22:10Yeah, he must have. I mean, the amount of action he
- 22:12had, he must get that City squad.
- 22:15And then a little note. Jamie Vardy on 199 goals, two
- 22:18games against 200. Just to add to his legend, you
- 22:22know what I mean? Yeah.
- 22:23I mean, do you think is that, is that just in total or is that
- 22:27it's? Just 200 goals for Leicester.
- 22:29For man, he might not get there. Yeah, man, he had he had a few
- 22:34chances. He's he had a good assist this
- 22:35game though, yeah. So yeah, he's still he tribute,
- 22:38he's still such a who are they? Playing the last two games?
- 22:40Let's see. I think they play Ipswitch next.
- 22:45So you're saying there's a chance I'm?
- 22:47Saying there's a chance. If switch on Bournemouth.
- 22:50Yeah. So I mean.
- 22:51Very suitable. I think you'll.
- 22:53Do it. It's gonna be a twitch.
- 22:54Yeah, it's gonna be a twitch. Well, if he doesn't do it this
- 22:57year, next year when Rexam comes up or two years from now, he'll
- 22:59be scored a goal for or something 2.
- 23:01Hundred goals for. Last year.
- 23:02Last year, yeah. Yeah, maybe they'll do like a
- 23:06like a testimonial game at the end of the season or something
- 23:08just to get him the goal and we'll just count.
- 23:10It wouldn't wouldn't count. It needs to be competitive.
- 23:12They. Should just everyone should just
- 23:13go in the in the box and dive create a penalty for him?
- 23:18Yeah, that's, that's also I like that idea too.
- 23:21All right. Should we hit up waivers?
- 23:23Should we get into it? Yeah, All right.
- 23:26Waivers. We've talked about some of these
- 23:27guys just throughout our recaps, but I think it's at this point
- 23:30in the year it's you're gonna recognize every name.
- 23:33So first one, I think Beto Ford owning 45% of leagues, a goal in
- 23:38each of his last two games. Everton plays Southampton next
- 23:42and with them drawing City last week and officially not the
- 23:44worst team in history of the Prem, I don't know how much more
- 23:47Southampton really cares. Yeah, right.
- 23:50You know what I mean? I think now that they're like,
- 23:51OK, great, we're not the worst team ever.
- 23:53Let's go, let's go, let's check out mentally.
- 23:56Yeah, we'll see. Does everyone have, does
- 23:57everyone have anything to fight for?
- 23:59Are they? I think it's just kind of
- 24:02playing for the manager at this point, right?
- 24:04Yeah, they're not. They're not vying for Europe.
- 24:06Game's got nil nil all over it man.
- 24:09Yeah, maybe. I mean, I I think there's enough
- 24:11quality with Everton. Everton looks strong that I'm
- 24:13not I'm not 100% that it's just totally nothing.
- 24:17Yeah, next next is El Canus mid 23%.
- 24:21He's had assists to in his last two in Ipswich next and Ipswich
- 24:26has really struggled to defend. They they, they only LED in one
- 24:28of his Bradford, but you can, you have to go back seven games
- 24:30before they before they've let in.
- 24:33But I feel like. They've let in more goals in one
- 24:35last. This game, this game they'll
- 24:38play because they they're both going to play each other in the
- 24:40championship next season. So it's more like mental, you
- 24:42know? What?
- 24:43I'm for pride. I also think it's for pride,
- 24:45yeah, yeah. So I agree, I think that Ipswich
- 24:47last year, both are really still trying to give it a go.
- 24:49So I'm not mad at El Canoos again, like we've seen flashes
- 24:54of it in the last few games. He's actually looked like he's
- 24:55really starting to figure it out.
- 24:57It'll be interesting if Lester holds on to him next year.
- 24:59If some team thinks that they they can kind of make a project
- 25:02out of Elkanoos because you see the talents there.
- 25:04Yeah, so that'll be interesting for sure.
- 25:08Next up, talked about him last week, Matt Weaver, Enzo picked
- 25:11him up. Did he serve you well or did he
- 25:13make your team? Or was he on the?
- 25:14Bench, yeah, he made my team. He's some he's. 4 digits so he's
- 25:17a mid, but he actually plays more like he's on.
- 25:20He's a defender but it's it's his fourth double digit game in
- 25:23a row. He's at assists in three of
- 25:25those games. The one rub with him and why he
- 25:27doesn't like the clear cut #1 is that they play Liverpool next
- 25:30week. Yeah.
- 25:31I will say though, that it is a little bit unpredictable as far
- 25:34as like who's gonna play and start for Liverpool.
- 25:36I feel like Liverpool really wanted to turn up against
- 25:38Arsenal. I don't know if they're gonna
- 25:40have that same energy or like their the coach is even gonna
- 25:43want to play all the players against the right team.
- 25:47A couple of things I, I think, I think this game is at Brighton,
- 25:50so Liverpool might rest their players, save them for the last
- 25:54game in Anfield, which is the last game of the year for them.
- 25:57And also that was a great pick up and I want to congratulate
- 25:59you on that. He was crucial in getting you
- 26:014th place. OK, yeah, moving on next one
- 26:10Coyote Defense 5% owned. It was another one that Enzo
- 26:13swooped up from under me because he had no clue that guy was
- 26:16until I talked to him last week on no.
- 26:18I put him on my freaking nose last week.
- 26:19Were you talking about? I don't know.
- 26:21I don't think he, I don't think the no up on the side, I don't.
- 26:24Think no, I put him on there. You had some guy named like
- 26:27Thomas or something that you were trying to talk about from
- 26:30Leicester. Because it was because it was
- 26:31Leicester, but he also had two good games and he played.
- 26:34He had double digit against. Liverpool, but OK, whatever.
- 26:37Anyways, Coyote, I'm mad because then so had fed more fab than me
- 26:41and got him up. He had another really good game,
- 26:4316.25 points. He was kind of the time he
- 26:45didn't disappoint after being really widely talked about on
- 26:48waivers showed up and I think this week's important because he
- 26:52showed up with the defensive work.
- 26:54He had a clean sheet, yeah, Brighton 110 really steady, but
- 26:59also in that game he still managed to keep passes.
- 27:01So even in a game where he was, he showed defensive solidity.
- 27:04He still was able to get forward and he was making some really
- 27:06good runs, overlapping runs and stuff like that.
- 27:09I think he's someone I'm going to be targeting next year for
- 27:11sure. I like him even though he's felt
- 27:13relatively young and new. OK, two more names.
- 27:17First one, Alcaraz 22% own mid for Everton.
- 27:20A strong performance against Fulham looked really good and he
- 27:23really looks like he belongs in this league and team.
- 27:25He kind of broke into the team later in the season, but he
- 27:27looks like he totally deserves to be here.
- 27:30And I think same thing kind of goes with, we're talking about
- 27:32with Beto where they play Southampton next.
- 27:34So there could be some strong opportunities there.
- 27:37Last one, Julio and Siso mid 49% owned.
- 27:41I think for me, this one I like is he's kind of played for a job
- 27:43next year. He's on loan at Ipswich.
- 27:46Who knows if there's going to be room for him at Brighton next
- 27:48year. He's really just trying to show
- 27:50up and show off and he looks really strong.
- 27:54Maybe I think that would actually be a great, great
- 27:56signing for them. He looks really strong on the
- 27:58ball and he demands the ball when he has it.
- 28:01He's starting to look like his old self before I got injured.
- 28:03And what I particularly liked, even though he didn't have any,
- 28:06he like he was, it was he had no ghost points, but he had four
- 28:10completed dribbles in this game. So you know, 8.5 points.
- 28:14It wasn't like this amazing game.
- 28:15But I think if that's his, you know, not his, that's probably
- 28:19not his floor, but I think his floor is pretty strong.
- 28:22You know, given given what's going on and they play, I think
- 28:25it's, I think they play against Brentford next.
- 28:28Brentford, Everton Or is it Everton?
- 28:31No, I thought it was Leicester. Oh, you're right, it's
- 28:33Leicester, is it? You told me you you said it's
- 28:38with. Leicester are playing each
- 28:39other. You're right, yeah.
- 28:40Yeah. So it's Leicester.
- 28:41So I think, I think there's, I think there's the upside is he
- 28:44gets a goal and an assist, but the downside of him just
- 28:46getting, you know, ghost points, I think there's still enough
- 28:49potential there that you're not like so goal dependent.
- 28:52Yeah, I hear you. Anyone else that you guys want
- 28:54to talk about? The backup goalkeeper for
- 28:57Tottenham kings Kinski. Kinski, we talked about it
- 29:00briefly. What do you think about it?
- 29:02I mean, if he's going to start, he's averaging 10 points for the
- 29:04year. 5 games, 5 starts. I think after the final Wees are
- 29:08going to start, they just save Vicari for the final.
- 29:11But there's a game before the final, they're playing Villa.
- 29:15Maybe. No, it's interesting that you
- 29:18it's interesting that you decide to bench Ricardo for this game.
- 29:22I wonder if that means that you play him in the last game just
- 29:24so he's like a little bit sharp. He has some match match minutes,
- 29:26but we'll see. Keepers are weird.
- 29:31OK, next week kind of or next game week, game week 37, kind of
- 29:35getting down to it. This is the last game week where
- 29:37games are staggered because the last game week of the year, all
- 29:40the games are happening simultaneously.
- 29:41What are we thinking? What do we are there any games
- 29:44we like? Chelsea, Manchester United
- 29:45stands out, but not I guess it kind of matters for Chelsea,
- 29:49doesn't really matter that much for Manchester United, Villa,
- 29:51Tottenham, same thing matters for Villa, doesn't really matter
- 29:54for Tottenham. So those will be games where,
- 29:56you know, upsets could happen, but hoping not.
- 30:00I don't think any upsets are going to happen.
- 30:01They're going to layer, they're going to fold like a napkin.
- 30:04You guys think Tottenham and United play their players
- 30:06because their games are on Friday and then was these the
- 30:08final? I think, dude, you're going to
- 30:10see a lot of rotation from them, yeah.
- 30:12Yeah, I think Newcastle, Arsenal might be interesting.
- 30:15Newcastle, Arsenal is probably the pick of the week, huh?
- 30:18Is there anything else? It's a lot of teams that a lot
- 30:22of matches where one of the teams has something to play for,
- 30:24the other one doesn't really, you know.
- 30:27So City, Bournemouth is interesting because I guess
- 30:30Bournemouth is still vying for Europe.
- 30:33Europe and they their their loss, their loss this week
- 30:36really put a debt in it. Move and also C wants top five.
- 30:40And they want yeah, City wants to just like secure it.
- 30:42I think that I think that tie this week in Southampton is kind
- 30:45of embarrassing for them. So I see that happening.
- 30:48City's been really interesting. Like neither Salvia or Doku
- 30:50started this match, so there's just been a little bit of
- 30:52headache stuff going on there. You.
- 30:54Know what to I, I have no doubt they're probably bounced back
- 30:57next season. That's that's just what you
- 30:59think with Man C But yeah, we'll see.
- 31:04I'm pretty sure if you look at their record outside of that,
- 31:06like middle of the year where they had like what was like 7 to
- 31:0910 games where they weren't doing that well, probably like
- 31:11the last few weeks, seems like they've kind of righted the
- 31:13ship. And even, yeah, even Doku came
- 31:16back. He played the second-half and he
- 31:18had 13.5 points. So you know what you're getting
- 31:21with Doku? Frustration and a lot of
- 31:23dribbles. I think Doku's one of the guys
- 31:25that you could, you would, a lot of times it might make sense to
- 31:28roll the dust even if he doesn't start, just because you know
- 31:30he's going to come on. And even if he only plays for 20
- 31:32minutes, he could dribble past. He could get like 5 successful
- 31:35dribbles in 20 minutes. He's gonna be that type of guy.
- 31:38He's gonna be the kudos of next year.
- 31:39That's what he's gonna be. Yeah, he's he's definitely up
- 31:42there for sure. I mean, I think he is he the
- 31:43highest completed dribblers. We we looked at this the other
- 31:47week. I forget now.
- 31:47You're right. Yeah, Jeremy Doku by a lot.
- 31:50He has a total of 107 successful dribbles.
- 31:53The next best is Kudus with 89, and I'm sure he has had
- 31:56significantly less minutes. Yeah, he's almost had.
- 31:59He's had 1000 less minutes than Kudus.
- 32:02Wow. So that's kind of wild.
- 32:05My name's Keith. I was with Tikko and Enzo, but
- 32:07now I'm just with Tikko. And we will see you next week
- 32:11for the penultimate episode.
