- 0:00Speaker 1: It's Annie and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM. Shout out to
- 0:03Speaker 1: Jody on our text line, the Armory or text line
- 0:09Speaker 1: to 317-663-9797.
- 0:09Speaker 2: The first person to wish me happy birthday today. She
- 0:12Speaker 2: texted in at like 5 o'clock this morning.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Oh, I was a little later getting in because I
- 0:17Speaker 3: went to go get you donuts. I love this.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It's our birthday. Well, really, our celebration tradition.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Our celebration tradition, whether it's birthdays or Father's Day or
- 0:27Speaker 4: just if we need something to celebrate, we get each
- 0:29Speaker 4: other donuts.
- 0:30Speaker 1: And I love that tradition for us. So yes, donuts
- 0:32Speaker 1: for breakfast today. You brought me a cookie yesterday. Donuts today.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I'm getting spoiled. Just keep it going, right?
- 0:39Speaker 1: We're spoiling you because every day I feel like we
- 0:43Speaker 1: have so much stuff to give away. And then we
- 0:44Speaker 1: get like an email. It's like, hey, how would you
- 0:47Speaker 1: like to also do this? So we got an email
- 0:49Speaker 1: yesterday that Dan and Shay and our friends, Tyler Hubbard
- 0:55Speaker 1: and Josh Ross, they're like, hey, how about we upgrade
- 0:58Speaker 1: a couple people? On your ticket list. And so we
- 1:02Speaker 1: are going to upgrade some people with meet and greet
- 1:03Speaker 1: passes this week.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Yeah, nice.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I don't know if we wanted to like just randomly update,
- 1:09Speaker 1: like upgrade people. Like if you win tickets, you might
- 1:11Speaker 1: also win meet and greets. Or you just save it
- 1:13Speaker 1: for tomorrow because tomorrow is like the show, you know?
- 1:18Speaker 4: We've got a few of them, right? I say we
- 1:21Speaker 4: kind of do it today and tomorrow. If you win today,
- 1:24Speaker 4: you might also win meet and greets today.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Okay. We'll let you know if you win those meet
- 1:28Speaker 1: and greets. But if you just, you're like, well, when,
- 1:30Speaker 1: when do I win these tickets? Well, let's give you
- 1:32Speaker 1: a rundown of all the things that you can win today.
- 1:35Speaker 3: We have holiday world tickets at 635.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Usually it's closer to 640 because we're late, but somewhere around.
- 1:41Speaker 3: There before seven, before seven.
- 1:44Speaker 4: But then right after seven, we have Dan and Shay
- 1:47Speaker 4: tickets and maybe some of those meet and greets. Can
- 1:50Speaker 4: we do it after eight again today too? Great.
- 1:52Speaker 3: So we'll do it at seven and eight on those.
- 1:54Speaker 3: And then Tim McGraw tickets at nine.
- 1:57Speaker 2: And New Country Cash.
- 1:58Speaker 4: And New Country Cash. Yeah, chance to win money today. 8.50,
- 2:01Speaker 4: we'll tell you what time to be listening for your name.
- 2:02Speaker 3: They did what?
- 2:06Speaker 4: I feel like in everybody's family, there is a fast
- 2:08Speaker 4: eater and a slow eater or fast eaters and slow eaters.
- 2:13Speaker 4: A new article says that eating speed is causing friction
- 2:18Speaker 4: in relationships.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Which I feel like if it's just like.
- 2:24Speaker 4: The two of you and you know that one person
- 2:26Speaker 4: eats faster and one person eats slower. Like the faster
- 2:29Speaker 4: person's not really worried about it. Slower person's not really
- 2:32Speaker 4: worried about it too much.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Have you watched the TikTok videos?
- 2:36Speaker 4: No.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Oh, sorry.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Sorry, you can finish it though.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Well, that's pretty much it.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Like I feel like my wife was always the fast
- 2:45Speaker 4: eater in our relationship. And I was never really worried
- 2:49Speaker 4: about it like to speed up.
- 2:51Speaker 1: But see, I think it's the fast eater that always
- 2:54Speaker 1: has the problem because my husband is also the fast eater.
- 2:57Speaker 2: And he now sometimes at the dinner table, he'll just
- 3:00Speaker 2: get up. I'm like, we're not done eating yet. What
- 3:01Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 3:02Speaker 1: He's like, no, you're not done eating. But the TikTok
- 3:05Speaker 1: videos are.
- 3:07Speaker 2: It's usually.
- 3:08Speaker 1: The woman that's a slower eater and then the man
- 3:11Speaker 1: will try to match her speed eating.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Oh, yes, I have seen those.
- 3:14Speaker 1: And so like it'll be like a woman trying to
- 3:16Speaker 1: eat like a cheeseburger or something.
- 3:17Speaker 2: She'll go to take a bite, but then she'll start talking.
- 3:19Speaker 2: And so he'll have it to his mouth and he'll
- 3:21Speaker 2: put it down.
- 3:21Speaker 3: He's like, when do we take a bite of food?
- 3:23Speaker 4: I like in my family, if I were to eat
- 3:26Speaker 4: with my parents, my sister, I would be done before
- 3:29Speaker 4: everybody else.
- 3:29Speaker 3: It wouldn't even be close. But my wife inhales food.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Free soft drinks!
- 3:33Speaker 1: Free parking!
- 3:33Speaker 2: Free sunsets! Free, free, free. The magic word.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And that's what we like to do here on Annie
- 3:43Speaker 1: and Cole. Hook you up with a ton of fun.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Our friends at Holiday World are like, we're not done
- 3:48Speaker 1: partying yet for the year, so let's give away some
- 3:50Speaker 1: more tickets.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Can you name that holiday this morning? Today is National
- 3:55Speaker 4: Blank Day. It is a pre-cooked frozen meal that comes
- 3:59Speaker 4: in a single tray and is designed to be heated
- 4:02Speaker 4: and eaten quickly. Originally, while you're watching something, it is National...
- 4:09Speaker 4: Blank Day originally came out in the 1950s from a
- 4:13Speaker 4: company called Swanson. They usually include like a meat, a side,
- 4:17Speaker 4: a vegetable and something as dessert.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I feel like typically it was a little brownie. Text
- 4:23Speaker 3: your answer to us, 317-663-9797.
- 4:25Speaker 4: It is National Blank Day today.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Well, we can't be giving away things all day long
- 4:32Speaker 1: if we don't start early. It's Annie and Cole, 97.1
- 4:35Speaker 1: Hank FM. Holiday World tickets up for grabs all this
- 4:39Speaker 1: week during the.
- 4:39Speaker 3: 6 o'clock hour. National Blank Day today.
- 4:42Speaker 4: It is a pre-cooked frozen meal that comes in a
- 4:44Speaker 4: single tray and is designed to be heated and eaten quickly. Originally,
- 4:48Speaker 4: while sitting in front of this and watching something, it
- 4:51Speaker 4: is national.
- 4:52Speaker 3: TV dinner. TV dinner day today.
- 4:55Speaker 2: I always think of two things when it comes to
- 4:57Speaker 2: TV dinners. One, the movie Matilda.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I don't know if you've ever watched this movie. My
- 5:02Speaker 1: niece has recently gotten into it, so we re-watched it.
- 5:06Speaker 1: There's a funny scene about that in that movie. And
- 5:08Speaker 1: then my dad, when my mom... went back to work,
- 5:12Speaker 1: my dad retired and he was like, what am I
- 5:14Speaker 1: going to eat for dinner? In typical, like old school
- 5:17Speaker 1: fashioned way. And so he would just stock up on
- 5:22Speaker 1: TV dinners. And I'd be like, dad, when I come home, like,
- 5:24Speaker 1: you want to go out to dinner? Somebody's like, no,
- 5:25Speaker 1: I got a TV dinner.
- 5:26Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Congratulations to our winner this morning, going to Holiday World.
- 5:33Speaker 2: We've got more stuff for you to win.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Dan and Shay tickets coming up just after seven.
- 5:39Speaker 3: It'll make your jaw drop.
- 5:41Speaker 2: He clicked on it so you don't have to.
- 5:44Speaker 3: It's Clickbait Cole on Hank FM.
- 5:48Speaker 4: If you were just hanging out at home and I
- 5:51Speaker 4: walked up to you and I said, can you do
- 5:53Speaker 4: this task?
- 5:55Speaker 1: No.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Could you do it? How confident would you be in
- 5:58Speaker 3: doing it?
- 5:59Speaker 2: You don't even have to list anything.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And I'm already telling you, I am very low on
- 6:03Speaker 1: the confidence level.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I have four things for you here.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Are these things you should be able to do or
- 6:09Speaker 2: just random?
- 6:11Speaker 4: I would say they are. I wouldn't say you should
- 6:15Speaker 4: be able to do them. Maybe, maybe you should be
- 6:18Speaker 4: able to do them. That's kind of where they land.
- 6:20Speaker 4: It's like things that like probably are not that difficult,
- 6:23Speaker 4: but also you're not doing them on an everyday basis.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 6:27Speaker 4: At least most of us. Like, for example, I'll start
- 6:30Speaker 4: with this one because it's on the list. You're not
- 6:32Speaker 4: doing this every day, but I am. Can you change
- 6:35Speaker 4: a baby diaper?
- 6:36Speaker 1: Yes.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay, great. We're both 100% confident there. Number one.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Number two, can you cook white rice for me? if
- 6:47Speaker 4: i just handed you like if i'm like hey there's
- 6:49Speaker 4: white there's a.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Ratio that ain't right right there's a ratio that if
- 6:53Speaker 1: you mess it up that water ain't ever getting out
- 6:55Speaker 1: of the rice but yeah is it like a cup
- 6:57Speaker 1: of water to a cup of rice or is it
- 7:00Speaker 1: roughly maybe see when i don't know i'm not confident
- 7:04Speaker 1: that i could do that when i first read this
- 7:05Speaker 1: i was like yeah no problem.
- 7:07Speaker 4: And then when you got into your water part there
- 7:10Speaker 4: i'm like Oh, that is true. I do usually just
- 7:12Speaker 4: look at the bag real quick. But if you are
- 7:14Speaker 4: going to the bag, like if I hand you the bag,
- 7:16Speaker 4: you can look at it real fast.
- 7:17Speaker 2: That's the instructions, though.
- 7:19Speaker 3: That's true. I think I thought it was tuna one.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Is it tuna?
- 7:23Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I don't know. I'm not confident in
- 7:25Speaker 2: making your rice.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I'm not even confident with the directions that I'm making
- 7:30Speaker 1: your rice, right?
- 7:31Speaker 2: Because my rice ain't never right.
- 7:33Speaker 3: It's always like a little one way or the other.
- 7:36Speaker 3: It's not quite done all the way or it's too.
- 7:39Speaker 2: One out of two so far. Great.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Can you sew a button back on? No, absolutely not.
- 7:46Speaker 3: You know what?
- 7:47Speaker 4: 60% of people said they could confidently do it on
- 7:50Speaker 4: the spot.
- 7:51Speaker 1: 60.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Six.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 7:55Speaker 3: There's no chance. I can do this one, which is
- 7:57Speaker 3: to change a flat tire.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I would like to think that I can, but I
- 8:01Speaker 1: was shown like once when I first started driving and
- 8:04Speaker 1: I've knock on wood.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Never had to.
- 8:08Speaker 4: I've actually changed my own flat tire in this parking
- 8:10Speaker 4: lot right here.
- 8:11Speaker 2: That's terrible. Do you really want to know?
- 8:16Speaker 4: Annie and Cole want to know. Feels like it might
- 8:19Speaker 4: be a parent's rite of passage thing, right? To have
- 8:23Speaker 4: that one toy... That's a little annoying, maybe a little repetitive.
- 8:28Speaker 4: You're like, we might take the batteries out of that one.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Oh, it's broke. I don't know.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it doesn't work anymore. We've been pretty lucky with
- 8:35Speaker 3: Baby Josie.
- 8:36Speaker 4: She has not really had one like that, but she
- 8:39Speaker 4: might have gotten one for her birthday the other day.
- 8:41Speaker 3: So for her birthday, she got a remote.
- 8:47Speaker 4: And it basically looks like a regular remote because she
- 8:51Speaker 4: loves remotes. And Her, my wife's parents know that because
- 8:57Speaker 4: they FaceTime with her every day. So they were looking
- 8:59Speaker 4: for a remote for her that looks like a real remote.
- 9:03Speaker 3: It doesn't look like one of the little kid ones.
- 9:05Speaker 4: They want one that looks real because otherwise she's not
- 9:07Speaker 4: going to be interested in it. And they found one.
- 9:09Speaker 4: And it is really cool in that, like, instead of
- 9:13Speaker 4: being a real remote, it just looks like a real remote.
- 9:14Speaker 4: And then we'll teach you like numbers and it changes
- 9:17Speaker 4: languages so she can learn like Spanish or French or
- 9:20Speaker 4: it like has all these different functions that to be
- 9:23Speaker 4: like a learning tool as well. And as she uses
- 9:29Speaker 4: it and gets older, like.
- 9:30Speaker 3: It'll be great. It'll be a great tool for her
- 9:31Speaker 3: to learn these things.
- 9:33Speaker 4: But right now she's just pressing the same button over
- 9:36Speaker 4: and over again.
- 9:38Speaker 3: So it's like two, two, two, two, two, two.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Two, two.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Favorite number? I don't know.
- 9:45Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 9:46Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh boy, I... The batteries might have
- 9:49Speaker 3: to come out of that one. It doesn't work so well.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Is there that toy, though, that when your kid got it,
- 9:54Speaker 1: you're like, I don't know about this one.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Annie and Cole, be a part of the show call
- 10:00Speaker 4: or text 317-663-9797 does your child have a toy that
- 10:02Speaker 4: you as a parent.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Are tired of trash it get rid of that toy
- 10:14Speaker 3: On the Armory Air text line, Sherry said the popcorn poppers.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Oh, those are so classic.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 10:19Speaker 4: She said, bad thing is there's no batteries to take out.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Ashley said the Wiggles sing-along microphone. Lori said happy yappers birds.
- 10:30Speaker 4: I haven't, I haven't, I don't know what these are,
- 10:33Speaker 4: but I'll have to look them up. So we make
- 10:35Speaker 4: sure that we avoid them. Jen said, when I was
- 10:37Speaker 4: a teacher in a preschool room, a parent came in
- 10:39Speaker 4: on a Friday.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Just show and tell day. She said, I'm sorry for
- 10:43Speaker 3: this and started laughing and laughed. The child then pulled
- 10:46Speaker 3: out a toy that looked like a space gun. No,
- 10:49Speaker 3: it was a fart gun.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Annie and cole i'm just asking is rob right it's.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Probably right you know you have to know on some
- 10:59Speaker 3: level i know you know i'm right you know i'm right.
- 11:02Speaker 2: 97.1 hank fm shout.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Out to hayley and laurie on the armor air text
- 11:08Speaker 1: line who are my birthday twins.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Nice happy birthday everybody.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Celebrating birthdays today september very popular month for births yeah.
- 11:18Speaker 2: A lot yeah It happens. I share my birthday with
- 11:21Speaker 2: a lot of people.
- 11:21Speaker 1: But I was having this discussion with you and I
- 11:23Speaker 1: was having a discussion with my husband about how I
- 11:27Speaker 1: like to celebrate my birthday.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Now, I am a big... I like birthday weeks. It's
- 11:31Speaker 2: my birthday week. But I don't want anything ahead of time.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:35Speaker 2: So.
- 11:36Speaker 1: My mother-in-law was here, I think two weekends ago and
- 11:41Speaker 1: she brought my birthday card.
- 11:42Speaker 2: She's like, I didn't want to mail it. I see you.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I'm here.
- 11:44Speaker 3: It is.
- 11:45Speaker 2: And I put on the counter and I left it there.
- 11:47Speaker 1: And my husband, I was like, well, haven't you opened
- 11:49Speaker 1: my mom's birthday card?
- 11:50Speaker 2: I was like, it isn't my birthday. She's like, yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 2: but she gave it to you.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Open it. And I was like, no, I'm going to
- 11:54Speaker 1: wait till my actual birthday to open my birthday card.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I'm going to open it earlier than that.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not really a patient person. No, you're not.
- 12:03Speaker 3: So I probably would open it.
- 12:04Speaker 4: I mean, you handed me a birthday gift last week
- 12:07Speaker 4: that wasn't even for me and I opened it.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Immediately. Immediately.
- 12:10Speaker 4: I think if somebody handed me a card, like the
- 12:15Speaker 4: exact scenario you are explaining.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I would probably be like, oh, would you like me
- 12:19Speaker 4: to open this now or do you want me to wait?
- 12:21Speaker 4: And I would probably go off of whatever they said.
- 12:23Speaker 4: And if they said, I don't care, you can do
- 12:25Speaker 4: whatever you want, then I probably would have opened it immediately.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I was like, I have to wait on this, it's
- 12:29Speaker 1: not my birthday anymore. And then he was also telling
- 12:31Speaker 1: me how my birthday gift that he ordered wouldn't be
- 12:34Speaker 1: in on time.
- 12:35Speaker 2: And he started, I was like, don't tell me what
- 12:36Speaker 2: it is. It's not my birthday.
- 12:38Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, but it won't be here. I was like,
- 12:40Speaker 1: you can either give me a picture of what it
- 12:42Speaker 1: is on my birthday or you can make me wait
- 12:45Speaker 1: till it gets here. And he's like, why can't I
- 12:47Speaker 1: just tell you? I was like, I don't, it's not
- 12:48Speaker 1: my birthday. I don't want the gift and I don't
- 12:50Speaker 1: want to know ahead of time. I want to just
- 12:52Speaker 1: like kind of soak it all in. So now when
- 12:56Speaker 1: I get home today, I have a birthday card to open.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Annie and Cole.
- 13:00Speaker 3: I know you're mad.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I know you're upset.
- 13:02Speaker 1: But listen.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Are you mad? I'm very mad.
- 13:05Speaker 3: 97.1 Hank FM.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I got two things to complain about today. Okay.
- 13:12Speaker 3: I don't know what you're upset about.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Two things. First off, football. Why are we starting so late?
- 13:21Speaker 3: Well, the game was in Seattle. I don't care.
- 13:23Speaker 4: I can kind of understand that. So like the game
- 13:25Speaker 4: is to start till 530 for them.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 3: So 530 feels 530 feels right to me. I would
- 13:31Speaker 3: have liked it to start at 530 here.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Yes, because halftime came. Past my bedtime. I mean, the
- 13:39Speaker 2: game started past your bedtime.
- 13:40Speaker 3: The game was starting past my... I took a nap
- 13:42Speaker 3: so I could save and watch it.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Insane. What are we doing? Can we start the petition?
- 13:47Speaker 2: Let's start these games earlier. I'm tired of it. Number two.
- 13:50Speaker 2: This goes towards you iPhone users. Your big announcement yesterday. Congratulations.
- 13:57Speaker 2: You now have a flip phone.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you. I... Might get one.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Who knows? I saw this beam and it was Samsung.
- 14:07Speaker 1: They had posted and it was like, hey, give us
- 14:09Speaker 1: a call when you're tired of reheating our leftovers. Because
- 14:12Speaker 1: literally every announcement that iPhone makes, Samsung has already had
- 14:16Speaker 1: for like five years.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Yeah, whatever. I have had both phones. I have used
- 14:21Speaker 3: both phones. I prefer iPhones.
