The Drummond House in Eau Claire, a historic landmark on State Street, is set for demolition after lightning sparked a devastating fire in September 2025. Before the wrecking ball arrives, owners are salvaging priceless pieces—stained glass, the original front door, and fireplace trim—to preserve its legacy. These artifacts may one day grace a new building on the same site, though plans remain uncertain. While it’s a sad loss of history, this effort ensures some of the house’s soul lives on.
