- 5:59[SPEAKER_09]: gorgeous summer day here in water town.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_09]: Um, I would say this July and August has been everything that everyone could dream of, right?
- 6:09[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_09]: Um, temperatures up in the eighties.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_09]: You're going to get warmer over the weekend.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_09]: It was a picked in summer, no doubt about it.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_09]: Hey, there's a couple of streets here at Modern Town that they're doing some work on the streets and the water is temporarily off.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_09]: The two hundred block of Farwell Street and the two hundred block of East Lind Street.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_09]: So if you're in those areas and don't have water, you can probably see what's going on.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_09]: They're working on it.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_09]: So hang in there.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_09]: Go ahead to run those announcements.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_09]: That's from the Water Department.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_09]: He'd water all the time anyway.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_09]: Seven, five, five, twelve, forty are from a number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show today.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I was somebody sent me in one of our listeners.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_09]: It was on Facebook, young lady named Jesse Roberts and I don't claim to know her, but she was recording these, uh, they look like news anchor things.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_09]: And she's definitely arcade street material, but, uh,
- 7:13[SPEAKER_09]: You know, she was reading the police blotter and putting her own spin on it.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_09]: It was kind of funny.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_09]: So if you can find that on Facebook, or you know, too bad the mainstream media doesn't link to that kind of stuff, but whoever she is, wouldn't like to hear from her.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_09]: Sounds like an interesting person.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_09]: uh... let's see we talk yet some what yesterday about the fountain down to the fountain at lock in our plaza i don't like to be critical but we were critical of this when it went in so this is nothing to do with the mountain man or anything like that i'm not criticizing any individuals or but generally uh... you know the whole court street area looks nice there's no doubt about that
- 7:54[SPEAKER_09]: something.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_09]: They put the parking in backwards.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_09]: Stripes.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_09]: Well, anyway.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_09]: But the fountain that used to be locking, it was always locking our players, a name after Mayor locking our, and it had that fountain in it.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_09]: And I don't know, a color scheme, maybe it didn't like.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_09]: I got tired of it too, and maybe it should have been just painted black or something like that.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_09]: But it was this sculpture type thing, but like it looked like a gear on the top.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_09]: It sort of a,
- 8:20[SPEAKER_09]: homage if you will to water towns industrial past and I thought it looked pretty good and the water flowed out the top and down and it was a true fountain Kind of like the sculpture in the middle of the public square and that fountain But then the planners got a hold of it.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_09]: They didn't like that didn't like it too retro for them and the planners said we want just a little like their garden.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_09]: I always pointed up and that's what we got weekstream
- 8:43[SPEAKER_09]: Looks like I could get a better fountain over at State Street as hardware there, you know, that would look more interesting.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_09]: This thing is nothing.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_09]: And now we're paying sixteen thousand dollars to fix it on a change order.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_09]: Who is my suggestion?
- 8:56[SPEAKER_09]: I made it my blog.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_09]: Get the old one.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_09]: It's over on Marble Street next to the hydro plant, out in the weeds.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_09]: Get the welder guy out of Limerick to make you have some mounting brackets so you can get it and drag it over there.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_09]: Get it painted.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_09]: And one color, that's final care, whatever you want.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_09]: Um, then hook it up and get some plumbers or something.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_09]: I've got you could do that for less than sixteen thousand.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_09]: The Wilder would probably throw into the mounting brackets for free, yeah.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_09]: Keep the engineering cartel out of it, the planners, the nonsense people, and just put our fountain back.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_09]: Is that too much to ask?
- 9:37[SPEAKER_09]: Really?
- 9:39[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, look at that fountain that's there right now.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_09]: If you, is there anybody who would brag about that and say, look at a new fountain?
- 9:49[SPEAKER_09]: No.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_09]: It's a joke.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_09]: And the water barely can't comes out of it.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_09]: You know, it's just put our old fountain back.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_09]: I think it would fit a net in that bowl there.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_09]: That's all we ask.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_09]: Take everything away from us.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_09]: You want that kind of fountain out in the county somewhere.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_09]: Put it in your town where you live.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_09]: But no, not in our downtown.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_09]: It's like crap.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, let's see.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_09]: Got a call.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, we had a caller.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I'm sorry.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_09]: I had to finish my thought.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_09]: I, you know, I cognitive issues are always an issue for at our age.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_09]: And so I had to finish my thought.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_09]: I hope you understand.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_09]: Uh, let's see what else is going.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, there's the call.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_09]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, Mayor, can you pick the phone up when you get in the car, please?
- 10:46[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_08]: You know, public service.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_08]: I got in last two days.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_08]: I've got a call from people claiming to be from Medicare.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, my advice that seniors hang the damn phone up.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_09]: Correct.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_09]: That's always the right advice.
- 11:02[UNKNOWN]: They never asked who I was.
- 11:04[UNKNOWN]: She goes right into the script.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, you got part A and B. I said, I don't get my personal information.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_08]: I'm Medicare over someone I don't know.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_09]: Just hang up.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_08]: Just hang a phone up.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_08]: They're trying to get your number from Medicare.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_08]: It drives you crazy.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_08]: Last two days I got the phone call.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_08]: I said, you know, come on.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_09]: I get tired of it.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_09]: You know, yeah, you get up there in years and you know, go ahead, Mayor.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_09]: You get up there in years and they pick on you with that.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_09]: You know, they're trying to snuff.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_09]: You know, leave us leave us alone.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_08]: Well, she starts out with Mr. Trump's cousin.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_08]: I said, what are you talking about?
- 11:42[SPEAKER_08]: I just got a two hundred thousand dollar bill paid for to Medicaid.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_08]: He never screwed me up Medicaid.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_08]: I said, what do you want?
- 11:49[SPEAKER_08]: Kamala Harris in the White House?
- 11:51[UNKNOWN]: Click.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_09]: I'm sure she did.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_09]: She probably didn't know who Kamala Harris was, so.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_09]: Or yes.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_08]: So I just hang the phone up because they're trying to screw you out of your money.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_08]: I just want to let some of you see new people fall for this garbage mayor.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_08]: You know, it's too bad, too.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_08]: Most of these people not from this country, a lot of them from overseas, believe it or not.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_08]: I had a nine IRS call, but I was rushing.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, well, that those are all fake.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_08]: I told the guy.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_08]: First of all, the IRS is not going to hire a guy.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_08]: Would have foreign accent.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_09]: Well, also you get those calls claiming to be from the utility that they're going to shut your power off.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_09]: You got it just hang up don't even talk to him just hang up another one the police looking for money from the park state park police.
- 12:45[UNKNOWN]: I said state you tell me a state park police guy doesn't have his own life insurance.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_08]: All they all do is ignore your questioning keep going with the scripted line.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_08]: I got them calls also.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_08]: Speak up.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_08]: Be careful.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_08]: That's all I'm saying.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_09]: So what else is on your mind?
- 13:05[SPEAKER_09]: What do you think of that fountain at Locken Hour Plaza?
- 13:09[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_08]: I really haven't noticed it too much mayor to be honest with you.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_09]: Can't we have our old fountain back?
- 13:17[SPEAKER_07]: Well, we could have it.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_07]: I'll be caught this money though.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_09]: Well, we're paying sixteen thousand dollars on a change order because it's the one that we, this little garden hose they put in there doesn't work right.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_08]: there will be in a big money on a change order on uh... the leak up uh... park a reservoir also on well it's like somebody told me today nine million for twelve billion the twenty nine million in two months and nobody has white except mr. show he wants to know why that change that's how rages money and we found it for it i know and when you can't
- 13:56[SPEAKER_09]: It's amazing in it.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, we can't even get a leak fixed.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_09]: Hmm.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_08]: Then going on for forty years apparently.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know what to say about that.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_09]: And then they want to suspend that much money on a reservoir and then they want to suspend countless dollars on disinfectant byproducts and only says that the levels are normal anyway and I've been drinking that water since while I've been drinking that water since Lyndon Johnson was president and it's fine.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I don't know I've gotten leverage in the meal or the
- 14:39[SPEAKER_07]: They're not uh, within the legal limits apparently.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_07]: I don't drink the city water.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know too many people that do anymore.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_13]: Hmm.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I don't drink city water anymore.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_09]: What do you use?
- 14:50[SPEAKER_07]: The chemicals were over the legal limit according to the letters that got in a lot, but they are over.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_09]: So what, what do you drink at this bottled water or what?
- 15:00[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, bottled water.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_09]: We don't know where that came from either.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_09]: And that might have microplastics in it.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_07]: That could be, I don't know, who knows.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_07]: Everything you do is wrong today.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_07]: Anyway, doesn't make a difference for this.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_09]: Exactly.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_09]: Exactly.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_09]: Anyhow, the homeless.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_09]: How the homeless people doing today.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_08]: Well, as a woman next door to me, is anybody know where red shopping carts come from?
- 15:25[SPEAKER_08]: What business has red shopping carts?
- 15:29[SPEAKER_08]: We've got one next door.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_08]: I have a senior yet, but I'm going to call her on it.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_08]: You know, you can't take a shopping cart from a place of business
- 15:40[SPEAKER_06]: Well, they do.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_08]: What is happening all the time?
- 15:44[SPEAKER_09]: I think the welfare department should just buy a bunch of shopping carts and give them out.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_08]: Well, the business doesn't want to push the issue to just write it off.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_08]: You know, but you're talking a hundred dollars, two hundred dollars for shopping carts.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_08]: They're not cheap.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_09]: At least here.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_09]: My understanding is family dollars where there has the red carts.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_08]: One next story.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_08]: I have a singer yet.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_08]: She just moved in.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_08]: I got some more for people that got thrown out the other day.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you, God.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_08]: You're gone.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_08]: The place is empty.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to tell a lame or a don't.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_08]: Grant, the somebody that doesn't work.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_08]: Please.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_06]: Uh-huh.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_08]: These people drove me nuts.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_08]: You got about five fire in the driveway next door to my house through the clock in the morning.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_08]: Come on.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_08]: I love the fire department.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_08]: What the hell is going on?
- 16:33[SPEAKER_08]: The plane just filled up seven or eight feet.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_08]: Three o'clock in the morning.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_11]: Hmm.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_08]: I told the guy on the phone, that's against the law.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_08]: You can't bear over it.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_08]: And this wasn't a bear over it.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_08]: This is on the ground of this.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_08]: The damn parking lot.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_08]: What is it with these people?
- 16:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_08]: There's a thing that's burning from it down to three in the morning that said, the telling these people, you can't do that.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what the hell they were burning.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_08]: They're out of my area.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you, God.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_08]: Put up with these people, Mayor.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_08]: Well, they're all over the place.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_08]: Have a dire break with Steve walking in the road.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_08]: I had the poor with sight of the road.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_08]: So the car coming the other way can get around me.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_08]: The sidewalk is right open.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_08]: A guy would have a car full of crap.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_08]: Come on.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_08]: Get out of the sidewalk.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_09]: I'm where the other percent I mean uh... uh... stay off the bank was sick all over the victim place up there uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh
- 18:01[SPEAKER_09]: I, you know, it says here in the, I don't know the whole story because I haven't got the court papers, but it says quote, the defendant did patronize when he agreed to pay a female forty dollars for oral sex.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_09]: That's like, how do they, how did they even discover that happened?
- 18:19[SPEAKER_09]: Unless it was a, unless the, unless the, so-called prostitute was a undercover cop, I, I'd hate to think we're running around doing that.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you know back in Jack the Rupert days that when I he killed a lot of a deal about eight of them I guess press he wouldn't have to press.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, that was shark rise.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, never did find them for the most of most people were.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_07]: That was back in the eighteen eighty so that's been going on for years.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_09]: Well, when I don't know about this they're saying they arrested the man in this one.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_09]: Now the other day they arrested a woman over on perdi Avenue for
- 19:01[SPEAKER_09]: allegedly of prostitution or whatever but they never told who the man was it didn't he obviously had to pay the eighty dollars and I don't know it's just like is this stuff yeah it's a moral's during the garbage can in this country you know that mayor everybody knows it this is not a moral society we live in anymore well that lady on uh...
- 19:27[SPEAKER_09]: The lady on Facebook who reads the police plotter that just Jesse Roberts there should love fun with this story.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_09]: Yep.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_09]: Well, thank you.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_09]: All right, by now.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_09]: Well, there you go.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_09]: The angry man, angry with a lot of different things and good reason.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_09]: He's got good reason to be angry.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_09]: Don't know what this thing is about the patronizing the prostitute.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_09]: I never knew we, is that illegal?
- 19:53[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, if you whatever, harass somebody, be one thing.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_09]: I aren't just supposed to just, you leave it somewhere where they can find it like on the dresser or on the dashboard or something.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_09]: And you don't ever speak any words, is now how it, yeah.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_09]: But I, maybe they've got an undercover, check out there.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_09]: So be careful.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_09]: Be careful.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_09]: Happened on Snell Street, I remember.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_09]: We're, oh, that's over awful array, isn't it?
- 20:29[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, one twenty four a.m.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_09]: This guy, the guy was arrested, lived on Franklin.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_09]: But the solicitation happened five seventy eight snow street.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_11]: Hmm.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_09]: Anybody know, know anything about it?
- 20:47[SPEAKER_09]: Some of the tax messages, somebody texted in how many code violations has the Pearl Street Pub been cited for.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_09]: We don't do anything wrong over there.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_09]: I do a lot to keep the building in great shape.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_09]: So, you know, that's just silliness.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_09]: Tent set up behind a fun escape on JBY's.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, that's the property that was defaulted onto all the alphabet agencies.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_09]: So, tents are set up there, huh?
- 21:18[SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_09]: This is a campground.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_09]: Why don't we set up?
- 21:23[SPEAKER_09]: I thought about this in the eclipse last year when they said, nobody can stay up there.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_09]: Why not?
- 21:28[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, why don't we, if we're going to reimagine here, we're going to reimagine here.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_09]: That have set up some areas where you can have those campers that plug in and everything and set up a campground or something.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_09]: Why not?
- 21:47[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, utilize the space.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_09]: I think, oh, no, you can't do that.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_09]: Why can't you do it?
- 21:55[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, can Rick said no, he needs a zoo or on the park board.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_09]: Friends of the parkers.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, well, I don't know.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_09]: I probably my friend Brian Ashley wouldn't be averse to it.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, set up something nice, not like a slum.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, yeah.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_09]: Just a thought.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_09]: Just a thought.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_09]: I had a lot of people like to go camping.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_09]: Or their motor home, or whatever.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_09]: not to be big, it doesn't have to be a K-O-A or anything, but I think he gets some people up there, and you know, obviously they have to pay for the space.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_09]: And you know, it just might be one additional way to monetize things a bit, use it more than just driving through it or going up and sitting out of bench and looking at the sunsatter, whatever.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_09]: Just a thought.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_09]: It's a, but it's kind of like Null Street.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_09]: This isn't other than unrelated.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, even Joe Butler and I used to ask about that one.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_09]: Why don't make it two way again?
- 23:00[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_09]: You can't.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_09]: State says, yeah, you know what I mean, you know, state of New York says you can't.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_09]: Well, wait a minute.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_09]: Nobody uses that park down there, and then veterans walk away.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_09]: Somebody got murdered down here.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_09]: Here I go.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_09]: Stangeless.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_09]: Why not make it two way?
- 23:19[SPEAKER_09]: So there's people always there.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_09]: I tell you make things safer.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_09]: You know, some people choose to make themselves safer by, like, moving, you know, out to the, the hinterlands.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_09]: That's fine.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_09]: If you want to live in the hinterlands, I don't want to.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_09]: So why not have traffic down there?
- 23:35[SPEAKER_09]: But when you say it, it's all, no, you can't.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_09]: The planners say no.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_09]: Well, with all due respect and their nice people screw the planners.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_09]: They gave us that crappy fountain that lock it out where
- 23:51[SPEAKER_09]: So, there you go.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_09]: Ah, seven, five, five, twelve, four.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_09]: I've always got along well with planners when I was mayor.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, you know, talked with a lot up on the third floor, but, you know, I just don't know.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_09]: It just seems like there's a lot of opportunities to do things and we don't.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_09]: And we don't.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_09]: Ah, no.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_09]: Here's somebody who sent me a picture.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_09]: This is a great idea.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_09]: Everybody knows about those air fresheners.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_09]: The little trees are called.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_09]: They're made here in water town.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_09]: It's a signature product.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_09]: And somebody sent me a, I must be a some kind of picture he composed with the replica of one of the trees there and you can have water come.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_09]: I think that's a great idea.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_09]: I think it's a great idea.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know who this is.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_14]: um... but it's a citizen suggestions or nobody wants we want to hear what the plant the planners said they want to put a garden knows that point straight up so that's what we got he's good afternoon you're on the air you might want to tell the angry man that he's drinking uh... city water without him even know about it is every time you order a fountain drink uh... for the rest
- 25:22[SPEAKER_09]: Well, correct.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_09]: Anything out of there.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_09]: That's all city water.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_09]: As is any any kind of coffee probably or anything it is made.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_13]: Right.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_13]: I just want to throw that out there.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_09]: All right.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_09]: Well, thank you so much.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_09]: All right.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_09]: I know.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_09]: If you order a go to McDonald's and get a Coke or a Sprite or anything else at city water.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, I've got a fountain gun at the water comes in.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_09]: It goes through the carbonator.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_09]: Comes up the hose into the head, the little head there.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_09]: When you push the button, the carbonated water comes out and so does whatever syrup you've pushed.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_09]: And it mixes around in the little spout thing and it comes out as a carbonated drink.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_09]: That's how it's done.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_09]: That's city water.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, exactly.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_09]: Well, we're going to take time out for a little break here.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_09]: And it's not a bad idea.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_09]: We'll be back with more of the hotline in just a moment.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_09]: Just a moment.

- 29:46[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, like I said that image somebody sent me obviously a you know a composite image but the idea of a
- 29:53[SPEAKER_09]: be getting an iconic product product like those little trees and put it as a sculpture in the fountain there.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_09]: You know you celebrate a legacy product and the heritage and also it looks but it looks a lot better you look and I'm sure for the pay for it too I mean that's the other thing because that's up and you don't have to run around get a grant no no no grant.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if there's anything.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_09]: I'll be interested to hear
- 30:23[SPEAKER_09]: What Jesse Roberts does with her rendition of today's police blotter, but we were listening to some of it yesterday where was it?
- 30:37[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, that's uh
- 30:58[SPEAKER_09]: That's a new newscaster there that we see in town.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know or I've never met her.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_09]: We'd like to find out more.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_09]: I sent that link to John Moore, but I don't know if they want to publicize their competition at the moment.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_09]: Is that what people are interested in, isn't it?
- 31:13[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, they're interested in Facebook pages like nosy neighbors and stuff like that.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_09]: Or, you know, Francis, let's just look at this.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_09]: The headlines are news junkie, women's BAC was pointed to seven, and they would never be on the local news.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_09]: Because they kind of have this business packed out there that DWIs don't get publicized anymore in case it's somebody who's associated.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_09]: They're like, well, we don't do those stories.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_09]: It's one of their own gifts now.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_09]: And then the water town man charged with patronizing a prostitute.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_09]: That would never be on our mainstream news.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_09]: I can't see, I just can't see Jeff Cole reading that story.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_09]: So I mean, there's a lot of things that those are the things people are talking about around the water cooler today.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_09]: In places where you can, yeah, talk around the water cooler.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, let's see what's going on here.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, they're still talking about redistricting.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_09]: I'm so tired of hearing it.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_09]: I don't care.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_09]: Draw the districts.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_09]: I don't care.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_09]: Most people don't know what a Congress who their Congress member is.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_09]: Most people don't know what the district is or anything else.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_09]: What district do you live in?
- 32:27[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you probably live in the twenty-fourth, which you may live in the twenty-first.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_09]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_09]: Hello.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_16]: They're almost in there.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_09]: What's up?
- 32:40[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, gee.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_16]: I didn't get a great idea to get the tree gone.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_16]: They haven't added me up this girl.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_16]: I think it's Adam's work where they got the life-saving thing.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_16]: They had a governor.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, it's governor.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_16]: Right.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_16]: Governor or I, yep, yep.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_16]: And the anchor guy, yes, he does make a lot of good points.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_16]: But he was wrong the other day.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_16]: I do really believe.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_16]: And I got some sort of evidence back up.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_16]: He says, these homeless people are now from water town.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_16]: Yes, most of them are from water town.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_16]: And the surrounding areas.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_09]: Really?
- 33:21[SPEAKER_16]: Yes, I really believe so.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_16]: Because I know some of them.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_16]: I know all some of them.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know what I'm running on.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_16]: I mean, most of these homeless people are from Watertown, and I need to talk about the landlord's or the plain, no.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_16]: Ten years ago, I wouldn't stick up the landlord's, but now, and there's victims.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_16]: I know, in case of where it squatters, the landlord's, they're trying to get rid of them, probably, quit being a landlord's, just because it's too much addict to try to get rid of them.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_09]: I know it's it's a tough rack at there's no doubt about it and a lot of people are our frustrated in doing it but what are you going to do?
- 34:05[SPEAKER_16]: I heard one of I think one of our big real estate guys in town pays them off just a week.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_09]: Well I wouldn't surprise me.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_16]: It's not a bad idea.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_09]: because these people, they know they know they can, these gotts their rights and they can go to some agency and they can drag it out forever.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_09]: You know, you can't, if you read an apartment and just stop paying, you can live there for months and months, there's nothing to do about it.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I mean, for the squatters rule, it's them to friendly.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, the girl was with the cleaners of private forms, stayed over three days.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_16]: Well, now she owns the place.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, it's terrible thing.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_16]: But anyway, the good news is that I didn't notice that I didn't really explain any attention to the phone.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_16]: But I let our other phone to one in the middle of the square.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah, that looks nice.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it's a statement.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_09]: You know, it says something about the community that's passed.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_09]: Well, the weak stream garden hose doesn't say anything.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_16]: Well, it's not because all the while we're seeing there was a big phone on the square.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_16]: uh... me and my friend love to the square yesterday and she was and let's go take a dip in the phone after yeah good idea as well i remember and it looks real great and it's run in the water looks real pretty but i remember when i use like really like play the water and it was so so we wouldn't have the definite we could just walk all right
- 35:51[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I used to have that ring of that or that sprayed water straight up.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_09]: I like it the way it is.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_09]: It's fine with me.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_09]: I think it looks great.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_09]: And if somebody gets in it once in a while, the water, once they don't slip and fall, I guess I don't know.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_16]: You gotta be careful.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_09]: I could see sitting on the edge and putting your feet in it or something like that.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_09]: I think walking in it's kind of dangerous.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_09]: All right.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_09]: It doesn't bother me.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you.

- 40:46[SPEAKER_09]: sculpture in the uh... lock in our plaza fountain i'm not saying it's a perfect rendition but i said it to four of the council member i didn't send it to the dot because i uh... i don't know i just don't i don't have his number first of all but uh... mr. shounia back me and says works for me sponsorship money and promoting a homegirl in business
- 41:10[SPEAKER_09]: Um, maybe we can stimulate some discussion before they waste sixteen thousand dollars on a change order to fix a garden hose.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_09]: Now, you know, I got it home.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_09]: I got a little yard sprinkler.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_09]: You put the hose on and spins around by itself.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_09]: I could have just donated that to the city.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_09]: It would have been about as effective as this, what they got down there.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_09]: So this is an interesting idea, the tree.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_09]: I, again, I would bring back the old one.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_09]: I bet you you could.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_09]: I know people.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_09]: I know people.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_09]: You could get that one that old and transported back downtown and installed and for a little or nothing.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_09]: And just do what we could do it on a weekend.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_09]: We wouldn't have to get stamped plans or planning more to approval.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, they call the planning commission now.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_09]: A commission.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_09]: Uh, anyway, uh, just an idea.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_09]: Not my idea, but somebody else's idea.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_09]: So thank you.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I want to get a haircut yesterday.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I ran into it, uh, I went over to a new attitude on Crafine.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_09]: First of all, she's coming here last couple did a great job.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_09]: So I went over there on four o'clock and, uh, he ran into Bob Sly there, the former city attorney.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_09]: It's good to see him.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_09]: He looks good.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_09]: And everything we chatted a bit.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_09]: Anyway, so I was getting my haircut.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_09]: And of course, over at that new attitude, they do not just haircuts, but they also do like massages or stuff.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_09]: And as well, you know, I heard about you talking about the happy lucky spot over there on our snow.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_09]: You know, would you like to come here and try a massage by, you know, a non-Asian speaking, a person.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_09]: And I said, well, maybe I will.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if I can give them a call.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_09]: I will see.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_09]: I haven't been back to the lucky spot recently, I've been meaning to.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_09]: I thought it was fine over there.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_09]: I have no problem with it.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_09]: But we'll see.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_09]: I can get in trouble for getting a massage.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_09]: if they're not licensed.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_09]: Now if they're starting to rest people for all sorts of weird stuff, I don't know.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_09]: It's the last time you saw two prostitution related to rest in one week.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, but they want to find out who's got to where those red shopping carts were stolen from.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_09]: You don't have to be crazy to figure that out.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, our listeners already did.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_09]: They gave me the stores where they have them.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_09]: Seven to five, twelve, forty the phone number.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_09]: You know, it's premature case of theft because if they have it, they obviously stole it.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_09]: First of all, even if you wanted it, but you can buy shopping carts online.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_09]: But, you know, it's pretty obvious that these weren't bought.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_09]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_15]: a much worse fountain failure is you know the libraries one that still have to win a position uh... canvas over the top of them i'm i'm where they on that yeah it's crazy on one of them have to have that that looks a crap at one of the most beautiful for perhaps the most beautiful building in the city i know that was a favorite cause of former councilwoman burdens and
- 44:42[SPEAKER_09]: I know she's probably weeping over the situation now they just can't seem to get anything to work.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_15]: It's a fountain my god.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know what's wrong with her.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, what is there in a fountain?
- 44:58[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, a little pumping.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_15]: I don't get it.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_15]: I don't understand either.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_15]: I'm prostitution.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_15]: That's never should have done.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_15]: It should be illegal.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_15]: Someone spends two hundred bucks on dinner and then things eat.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_15]: You'll get somewhere, whatever is that presentation.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, hopefully it's a good dinner at least.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_09]: No, I don't, I certainly don't think that.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_15]: You know, it was easy to get it for five, five, five, but you know, didn't, didn't ever have to go that route.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_09]: Like Bangkok and Osiris?
- 45:32[SPEAKER_15]: No, Spain, Spain.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_09]: Spain?
- 45:35[SPEAKER_15]: Back in the eighties, yeah.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, everything was cheaper back in the eighties.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_15]: I can get, you know, whatever, but yeah, I don't know.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_09]: Well, everybody always feels obliged.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_09]: I've never had to pay it.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I don't care if I have.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_15]: It's transactional, everything in life is transactional.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_09]: I don't think, I don't think, whoever this guy is, and I don't mention the names of people arrested in these type of things.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, the DEC, you've been nice to sick moose in Tupper Lake, Forest.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_09]: Remember the time they cut the antlers off the one and kill that one?
- 46:14[SPEAKER_15]: That was awful.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_09]: Jesus.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_15]: But you know, do you see doesn't care about animals?
- 46:19[SPEAKER_09]: No.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_15]: They just care about people.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_15]: And what?
- 46:22[SPEAKER_15]: In fact, they have on the people.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_15]: I found that out with the dog park stuff.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_15]: They couldn't, you know, make it.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_15]: You've been building the dog park there because they couldn't do anything about animals.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_15]: Well, anyway.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_09]: The thing about this patronizing the prostitute charge, fifty-two-year-old man, three forty-two-a-m, happened on Snell Street, how would the police happen to be there?
- 46:50[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, I mean, it's a set up or something, sometimes people don't get what they thought they were going to get and call the police and then find out, that's really, you know, some of the storm like, okay, you know, yeah.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, probably something like that, but otherwise, if it's a set up, it's like,
- 47:07[SPEAKER_15]: You know, that guy must just go and, wow, I never thought about doing that before, but that's a bargain, forty bucks.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_09]: Well, in that sense, yeah.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_15]: The situation is, I mean, every now and then.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_09]: Well, we don't know.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_09]: We don't know who the individual and the other end of the transaction was.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, I said, both types you get to read, if it's illegal, illegal on both sides.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, that's always miscarpaged me.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_09]: just a john gets it in the in this case that john got arrested in the other case the other day they didn't put maybe it was somebody famous i don't know that can happen to you know could be uh well-known person in town or something like that generally speaking i i these are like i don't want to call victimous crimes because i don't know all the circumstances but it's like you know uh
- 48:04[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, yeah, as long as it's not, they're not being forced into something.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_15]: As long as both parties agree, that's what they want.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_15]: It is ridiculous.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_15]: But, you know, if somebody's being forced into that life, you know, that's not right.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_09]: No, no, it's not.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_09]: And if that's the case, you know?
- 48:19[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, but it may be presenting it all.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_15]: That's what we're supposed to be.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_09]: Why put out, why put out the press release?
- 48:28[SPEAKER_09]: And identify one person and not the other.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_09]: I don't think we should know either of them.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_09]: Have you watched that lady who does it read some police blotter?
- 48:39[SPEAKER_15]: No, no.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_09]: On Facebook, really?
- 48:40[SPEAKER_09]: You really should.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_15]: I don't.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_15]: I really don't care about that stuff.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, it's funny.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_09]: It's entertaining.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_09]: It's, you know.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_15]: Well, it's absolutely entertaining to you, then.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_09]: I thought it was funny.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, my God.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it's sticking to what you are.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_15]: How does that affect my life?
- 49:00[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it doesn't.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_15]: It doesn't go.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_09]: All right, well listen, I got a run.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_09]: Bye.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_09]: Well, Lisa didn't bring up.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_09]: I'm gonna sue this at no.

- 49:20[SPEAKER_09]: And I was gonna have a french fry in the way home.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_09]: Oh.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_09]: Well.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_06]: Let's see.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_13]: Hmm.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I don't know.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, the story about Jasmine Crockett says she's a no-show boss and she's rude to people.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_09]: She looks like she could be.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.

- 54:28[SPEAKER_09]: We're trying to find out.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_09]: We've got an APB out of it, under.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_09]: You know, they put a little bit of production into making these things.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_09]: I know it was not, not without any effort at all.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_09]: So we commend that.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_09]: Because that's how you're going to get your news now.
