Woodstock Ferry Out of Service | Oakland News

The iconic “Woodstock” water shuttle between Alameda and Oakland is sidelined after engine failures left two engines non-operational—no one was aboard when the issues hit. Replacement engines are en route, and crews are racing to install and test them before bringing this historic ferry back online. Originally launched near Niagara Falls as part of a 2024 pilot, its service now extends through 2028. In the meantime, riders can switch to the Alameda Short Hop ferry or AC Transit Line 96 bus.
