  That's what my main goal is to put smile on people's faces

  every day, no matter if I'm right there human interaction

  Let's get into it. What is your current goal in

  life? Man, my current goal in life

  right now is to be the TNA world champion, and not only that, to

  be a great role model for my son.

  He's about to be two years old now and yeah, every single time,

  like he sees wrestling on the TV, it's like I see myself.

  I remember when I was a little kid and just watching my
• 1:36
  favorites. And now just every time when

  somebody like Ricochet or AJ Styles or Seth Rollins, who I've
• 1:44
  had like multiple interactions with throughout my whole career,

  when I see him look at those guys on the TV, man, I'm like,
• 1:51
  God Dang, he might be the next. Yeah, you never know.

  But man, my goals are just to be the TNA world champ and to show

  everybody, you know what I'm saying?

  Like no matter where you come from, what happens in your life,

  you can do it. I.

  Mean this is a great example. We're back at a high school of

  some of the people who are working tonight.

  And. Now they're on TV and now

  they're here working back at their other their alumni, which

  is super. Dating.

  It's awesome. So what are you currently doing

  to achieve your goals? Man, right now I'm just working

  my ass off. I'm working out as hard as I can

  can busting my cardio as hard as I can.

  Obviously every time Impact Wrestling they say, hey, you're

  going to be at this town at this date at this time.

  My ass is there the day before ready to go hard and man my the

  things that I'm just doing is just trying to just stay focused

  and always making sure that I am on that tunnel vision to the

  goal. You know what I'm saying?

  Like where you see the light is where the got daggone bearing is
• 2:55
  going to be to bring it to the light of championship realm.

  What is currently holding you back are a possible distraction

  from your goals. Man, I tell you what, one thing

  that holds me back, just the fear of the world, things that

  are happening, you know, war we're talking about.

  Oh, we're going to into a cashless society we're going

  into. And I don't mean to be the

  conspiracy theorist over here. You know what I'm saying?

  But like things like that, that scares me.

  And you know how progressive the world can be without.

  Let me try to choose my words wisely here.

  But you know, one thing I'll say is the future of our world is

  our children. And let's try to keep their

  minds pure as possible and thinking about things like that,

  especially now having a child, those are things that distract

  me. And, you know, I try not to

  think about the things of the world, but, you know, it's hard.

  It's hard. So what are what?

  Who are things that are motivate you or inspire you?

  Aw. Man, things that motivate me,

  seeing guys like Rey Mysterio go out there on Monday night, roll
• 4:21
  with his son again, it goes back to me having a kid to going out
• 4:26
  there and you know, showing his son.
• 4:30
  This is what I've been doing for the past 30 years, past 20 plus
• 4:34
  years. And then to see his son, you
• 4:38
  know what I mean? Like go out there and he's doing
• 4:41
  it. He's probably the most like.
• 4:45
  He's a the top pure heel, right? Now the top like people want to
• 4:50
  say polarizing figures. He is a polarizing figure.

  And to see something like that, man that motivates me so hard.

  It motivates me. It makes me think, man, if I can

  build a legacy for myself like this, one day, if my son wants
• 5:06
  to jump into this profession, he could have this.

  Of course he's going to work for it, just like Dominic has, you
• 5:13
  know what I'm saying? But man, that is a motivator

  right there. Because one day, WrestleMania 52
• 5:21
  is going to be Rich Swan, Richard Swan Junior versus

  Dominic and Rey Mysterio when he's on his Walker and he'll,

  hey, he'll still be hitting springboards.

  I guarantee you. Rey Mysterio is unlike anybody
• 5:36
  Hell's brother. What are you grateful for and
• 5:42
  are you currently happy? Man, I'm currently happy.

  Like I'm grateful for the fact that I have a job, especially in
• 5:49
  this economy. I'm grateful for the fact that
• 5:52
  I've given, I've been given a second chance at professional
• 5:55
  wrestling. There was a time where I said
• 5:57
  that I was going to retire and people, they put out my work.

  They put out all my hard work that you know what I'm saying,

  that I have done over the years and they said, rich, you still
• 6:09
  got a little bit more to give. God Dang it.

  You still got the agility ability and aggressiveness.

  You still got what they call Ala carte.

  Take out the Allah and keep carte charisma, athleticism and
• 6:23
  raw talent. We're still out here doing it,
• 6:25
  baby. We're still out here making sure
• 6:28
  that people keep their smiles on their faces all night.

  Well, during that time, I remember you went to PW and you

  and Mr. James or Evander James tore the house down.

  I was like, man, you're still on the top level.

  So I'm glad. And here we are, what, probably

  five years later. Since that moment you're walking

  with titles, You're going for world titles, other companies.

  They're killing, man. We're out here another day above

  ground is what I say is all I need, and that is going to be

  the opportunity that I will take to conquer the wrestling world.
