SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Aesthetics Unscripted.
0:04
SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, Kim, your regenerative and longevity expert.
0:08
SPEAKER_00: I am pleased to reintroduce and welcome again the infamous, the amazing Kim D.
0:14
SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for coming today, Kim.
0:16
SPEAKER_01: My pleasure, Kim.
0:18
SPEAKER_01: You know, I love your treatments.
0:20
SPEAKER_01: You know, I love you.
0:21
SPEAKER_01: Everyone I introduce you loves you.
0:23
SPEAKER_01: So I'm thrilled to be here.
0:24
SPEAKER_00: All right, Kim.
0:25
SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about Soma Cell today.
0:27
SPEAKER_00: So with your face, we've done the initial six treatments.
0:30
SPEAKER_00: It's been about six months.
0:31
SPEAKER_00: Uh, we're due for maintenance, but we'll get to that in a minute.
0:34
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
0:34
SPEAKER_00: Um, and we also will talk a little bit about the body treatments that we started with you.
0:38
SPEAKER_00: But let's talk about your initial treatment.
0:40
SPEAKER_00: Like when you first came in, you didn't know me.
0:43
SPEAKER_00: Right.
0:43
SPEAKER_00: I know it's a leap of faith because everybody says, Kim, it's not gonna hurt.
0:46
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
0:47
SPEAKER_00: If there's not gonna be downtime, then you get in the treatment room and then it does hurt.
0:51
SPEAKER_00: And sometimes there is downtime, and you're like, what's happening here?
0:54
SPEAKER_00: Right.
0:55
SPEAKER_00: So I appreciate you so much for taking that leap of faith with me.
0:59
SPEAKER_00: Um, and if you could share your experience with everyone, please.
1:02
SPEAKER_01: I would love to.
1:03
SPEAKER_01: So because I had my own um MedSP years ago, and I have done so many treatments, including lasers, which I highly do not recommend, okay, and had some pretty crazy experiences with them.
1:18
SPEAKER_01: All right.
1:19
SPEAKER_01: So when um I was asked to do your treatment and it just sounded great, and it's like a facelift without the cutting, which of course I'm all about, okay, because you know, we will get into what happens to certain people who get these crazy facelifts.
1:35
SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, oh, I bet you it's gonna hurt a little, and I bet you it's gonna be this, and I bet, and it did, it did not hurt at all.
1:42
SPEAKER_01: Um, the minute you walk out the door, you look refreshed, you have a glow, and you already feel tight the first time.
1:49
SPEAKER_01: It's like you're windblown.
1:51
SPEAKER_01: You actually feel windblown.
1:53
SPEAKER_01: So I was pleasantly surprised and couldn't wait to come back to do another one.
1:56
SPEAKER_01: As a matter of fact, I think the first week I did too.
1:59
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
1:59
SPEAKER_01: Because I ran back to do it.
2:01
SPEAKER_01: By the third one, I was in this uh at the studio with Jen Fessler, who I've been telling that she wants to come to you.
2:09
SPEAKER_01: Jen goes, Did you have anything done to your face?
2:12
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, like, not what you're thinking, but I had so much out.
2:16
SPEAKER_01: She could tell right away.
2:17
SPEAKER_01: Nice.
2:17
SPEAKER_01: The chin, everything comes up, the skin's tightening, the skin tone is great.
2:23
SPEAKER_01: So I was, you know, beyond pleasantly surprised because I had done so many other treatments that I was like, oh, I don't really want to go back and get this done again because it is so uncomfortable, or you really don't see anything.
2:36
SPEAKER_01: So I'm a big Soma Cell fan.
2:38
SPEAKER_00: Great.
2:38
SPEAKER_00: No, I've been there too.
2:39
SPEAKER_00: I long before I got into aesthetics as a professional, I was actually a patient.
2:44
SPEAKER_00: So I've had, like you said, I've had some great experiences, I've had some not so great experiences and things that I was like, all right, let me speak to the manager because I'm not asking for my money back, but for the rest of my package, I want to do something different because I just like this.
2:58
SPEAKER_00: So been there absolutely.
3:00
SPEAKER_00: So um, with your laser resurfacing, um, so for me as a professional, when people present to someone, especially of your caliber, um, being a celebrity, and we get excited, we're like, oh, Kim, come in for laser resurfacing.
3:13
SPEAKER_00: It's gonna smooth out your skin and it's gonna tighten up and lift your face.
3:16
SPEAKER_00: That's actually the wrong information because you now know, um, you know, along with a lot of our viewers, that lasers are for resurfacing for texture.
3:25
SPEAKER_00: They're not for lifting.
3:27
SPEAKER_00: So, um, what kind of experiences did you have when you went in?
3:30
SPEAKER_00: Because I know, like you said, you're not a fan.
3:32
SPEAKER_01: Some of them were okay, you know, that they didn't hurt so much or whatever the case may be.
3:37
SPEAKER_01: Right.
3:38
SPEAKER_01: But I went for the micro needling with the um what is it?
3:43
SPEAKER_01: Radio frequency.
3:44
SPEAKER_01: Oh, and I mean the first shot, even with an hour and a half of no mean the first shot, I thought I was gonna jump out of my chair.
3:51
SPEAKER_01: Right.
3:51
SPEAKER_01: So I had to let him finish.
3:53
SPEAKER_01: When I was done, I go, there is what what I just went through was not worth.
3:58
SPEAKER_01: I didn't see a darn, you know, nothing.
4:00
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
4:00
SPEAKER_01: And what I just went through, and actually, I said, if it hurts this much, I don't think it's doing any good.
4:06
SPEAKER_01: I think it's doing more damage than good.
4:08
SPEAKER_01: Because I have like thin, very fair skin.
4:10
SPEAKER_01: You have to be careful.
4:11
SPEAKER_01: I believe not everyone is a laser patient.
4:15
SPEAKER_01: Not everyone should be getting these things.
4:17
SPEAKER_01: No, it's true.
4:18
SPEAKER_01: I knew it right away.
4:18
SPEAKER_01: I did not go back, and I and I was not happy with it, and it really hurt, and that's not my thing.
4:23
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's true.
4:24
SPEAKER_00: I was so with the radio frequency micronealing, as you know, the FDA even came out saying they didn't name in mode or other brands, but they were like, hey, wait a minute, not everyone should be providing this, not everyone should be getting it.
4:36
SPEAKER_00: Here's an official warning.
4:38
SPEAKER_00: And that is true, and it's the same with lasers because it depends on your ethnicity, your sun exposure, your lifestyle.
4:44
SPEAKER_00: And for someone such as yourself, that's so important to be able to go straight on camera.
4:49
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
4:49
SPEAKER_00: You know, uh, you don't want to be lied to or over-exaggerated to.
4:53
SPEAKER_00: You need to know you can hit the makeup chair and go straight onto camera.
4:56
SPEAKER_01: I agree, but I have a question also.
4:58
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
4:59
SPEAKER_01: When someone does have a texture issue, like I have a little bit of a I've always had a little, because I have thyroid issues that makes me dry from within, which we've discussed.
5:08
SPEAKER_01: What besides the somacell, which of course you I never stop, I can't wait to go for my my treatment, start starting my treatments again.
5:16
SPEAKER_01: What would what kind we you and I had mentioned something about something else that you wanted to do to me.
5:21
SPEAKER_01: What else can I do for my texture?
5:23
SPEAKER_00: Yes, for texture, there are different lasers.
5:26
SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's what I was saying.
5:27
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
5:27
SPEAKER_00: You and I had discussed, you had a CO2 experience a long time ago where it was like burn your face all of a sudden.
5:33
SPEAKER_00: It was huge recovery time, and you don't ever want to go through that again.
5:37
SPEAKER_00: It's completely understandable.
5:38
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
5:39
SPEAKER_00: But when we're working with like a fractionated laser, they were built and are targeting more ethnic skin.
5:46
SPEAKER_00: So when we use them on someone with lighter, delicate skin like yours, we're not burning the entire surface.
5:52
SPEAKER_00: It's delivering fractionated lasers.
5:55
SPEAKER_00: So that means it's only a portion of your skin or a portion of your skin that's being treated.
6:00
SPEAKER_01: So you know how deep to go.
6:01
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
6:02
SPEAKER_00: So we can change the depths, we can change the power, we can control everything to match, you know, like, hey, are you off for the weekends and you're not gonna be in the sun?
6:11
SPEAKER_00: We know how to put that together, so it's technically not major downtime, it's like very, very minimal downtime.
6:18
SPEAKER_00: And then between a really good topical nubbing cream and um incorporating for those that want to use it, Pronox, which is an analgesic.
6:26
SPEAKER_00: Love that, the gas.
6:27
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, the gas, exactly.
6:28
SPEAKER_00: So I'm doing that.
6:29
SPEAKER_00: So um, between those, you know, you can keep it comfortable, you can keep it safe, and then you can keep it where if we're telling you by Monday, you know, or two days later, three days later, five days, whatever it is, you can put your makeup back on and you're fine.
6:42
SPEAKER_00: Um, just protect your skin from sun exposure, right?
6:45
SPEAKER_00: Then we know we're gonna deliver that.
6:47
SPEAKER_00: So there's no surprises for you on your end.
6:50
SPEAKER_00: So doing things like for you, doing things like a lighter chemical peel, a very light laser peel, these things will help um your surface texture.
6:59
SPEAKER_00: You could do a combination of um the microneedling with the stamping method, like what I do, that doesn't give you the blood extract.
7:06
SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
7:07
SPEAKER_00: We can incorporate a very gentle enzyme peel with that.
7:10
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
7:10
SPEAKER_00: So these things will help to continue moving forward with building collagen elastin, uh, you know, a capitalizing off of what soma cell is giving you, but also working on texture at the same time.
7:20
SPEAKER_01: Can you do it at the same time?
7:22
SPEAKER_01: Like if I you can okay.
7:23
SPEAKER_01: So if I come in the next time and do the somacelle, we can incorporate that treatment right there?
7:28
SPEAKER_01: Yes, absolutely.
7:29
SPEAKER_01: I would love to do that.
7:30
SPEAKER_01: Can we do that and film and and get some content on that?
7:33
SPEAKER_00: That'll be great.
7:33
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
7:34
SPEAKER_00: The the coolest thing about that is now you're taking something that's truly non-invasive, like soma cell, because it's not heat.
7:40
SPEAKER_00: You you know.
7:41
SPEAKER_00: Yes, um, Kim's not lying about this.
7:43
SPEAKER_00: It's not heat whatsoever, it's not damaging, it's repair and regeneration.
7:47
SPEAKER_00: So we can take that.
7:48
SPEAKER_00: We can take a surface enzyme peel, which is not going to be like a glycolic or anything that's going to get deeper into your skin.
7:55
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
7:56
SPEAKER_00: And then we can incorporate that with a non-bloody faced microneedling that is going to just be like a trifecta that's fantastic.
8:04
SPEAKER_01: Oh.
8:04
SPEAKER_01: Um, that's what we're doing, Kim.
8:05
SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
8:06
SPEAKER_01: So, you know, it's so funny when uh Kim, I just got here and I said to Kim, when was my last?
8:11
SPEAKER_01: I had body treatments after the face.
8:13
SPEAKER_01: But I'm like, when was my last treatment?
8:15
SPEAKER_01: And she was about six months ago.
8:17
SPEAKER_01: So, first of all, from the six treatments that I did get on my face, it was a huge difference in every way, shape, or form.
8:23
SPEAKER_01: And everyone noticed it.
8:25
SPEAKER_01: But now that the six months are over, I'm like, you know what?
8:28
SPEAKER_01: I like definitely would like to get another treatment.
8:31
SPEAKER_01: It's almost like now I would just like my maintenance here and there.
8:34
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
8:35
SPEAKER_01: And now that you can add that I could come there and get my soma cell and do that other treatment that you're talking about for the texture, I mean, who wouldn't do that?
8:44
SPEAKER_01: That's phenomenal.
8:45
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
8:46
SPEAKER_00: And it's a lot of fun too.
8:47
SPEAKER_00: It just depends on how much time a person has.
8:49
SPEAKER_00: So, like if you had, and you know I've told you this before, if you have time, which you never do because you're such a busy woman.
8:55
SPEAKER_00: I know.
8:55
SPEAKER_00: Uh you're like the embodiment of, you know, female entrepreneurs.
8:58
SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
8:59
SPEAKER_00: You never stop.
9:00
SPEAKER_00: So, you know, just I love that about you.
9:02
SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
9:03
SPEAKER_00: And uh, but if you had time, you could come in, you could get in the mild hyperbaric oxygen chamber.
9:08
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
9:08
SPEAKER_00: You could do soma cell face and body treatments if you wanted to for your maintenance treatments.
9:12
SPEAKER_00: Right.
9:13
SPEAKER_00: You could jump in and get your microneedling, we could do an enzyme peel, we could use the LED.
9:17
SPEAKER_00: None of these things are contraindicated when the way we put them together.
9:20
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
9:21
SPEAKER_00: And it's all just non-invasive, no downtime, no pain type of regeneration.
9:25
SPEAKER_00: So, you know, I don't know.
9:28
SPEAKER_00: I would love to spend the whole day.
9:29
SPEAKER_01: But what happens is then I know I gotta get in the car and drive back to Jersey.
9:33
SPEAKER_01: But um, I definitely will get there a little bit earlier.
9:36
SPEAKER_01: How long is that treatment?
9:38
SPEAKER_00: Putting that all together, we can have you in and out in um 75 to 90 minutes.
9:42
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
9:43
SPEAKER_00: If you're in a push, we can get you out in 75.
9:45
SPEAKER_00: That works.
9:46
SPEAKER_00: You can sit still for 90 minutes.
9:48
SPEAKER_00: We'll keep you from that's it.
9:50
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'll just come a little bit earlier.
9:51
SPEAKER_01: Instead of 11, I'll get there at 10.
9:53
SPEAKER_01: As long as I'm on the road by like one o'clock, I'm good to get back.
9:56
SPEAKER_01: I'm good.
9:56
SPEAKER_01: So it's just that, you know, every everyone that listens to my particular podcast, and I've spoken about Soma Cell plenty of times, they understand that it's the anxiety, not about the treatments, it's the anxiety about getting back at the car and getting home.
10:09
SPEAKER_01: And that it's just something I deal with.
10:11
SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
10:11
SPEAKER_01: You know, so trust me, Kim's your place is magnificent.
10:16
SPEAKER_01: She's got the big oxygen tent where you sit and she puts it on.
10:20
SPEAKER_01: You could be on your phone.
10:21
SPEAKER_01: It does so many great things, which I haven't done that, but people that I bring with me, they sit in it and they're like, oh my God, it's the best thing.
10:29
SPEAKER_01: Right.
10:29
SPEAKER_01: So I will definitely, I'm gonna start coming again because you know, like I hibernated in the winter, it's beautiful uh weather now.
10:36
SPEAKER_01: I will be still I'll start to come in once a week and we can incorporate all these other things.
10:40
SPEAKER_01: And I'd like everyone to see my journey because I do, because of this thyroid situation, I do have texture issues.
10:46
SPEAKER_01: Right.
10:46
SPEAKER_00: And the soma cell did help.
10:48
SPEAKER_00: It did.
10:48
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, because again, we're repairing and regenerating connective tissue, not just skin.
10:53
SPEAKER_00: So when you're getting all that, like the stem cells, your own stem cells, your own stomatic stem stem cells kicking in, you're getting exosome release, all these things are just radiating up through the skin.
11:03
SPEAKER_00: So you can see it, you can feel it.
11:05
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
11:06
SPEAKER_00: Doesn't take forever to see your results come through, as you know.
11:09
SPEAKER_00: So um, just to recap, Kim came in one to two times a week for the initial series of six treatments.
11:16
SPEAKER_00: We haven't done anything for six months.
11:18
SPEAKER_00: Nope.
11:19
SPEAKER_00: So we started your buttock treatment with somacil.
11:22
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
11:23
SPEAKER_01: And we did eight treatments, but you know, I have major issues.
11:27
SPEAKER_01: It wasn't just a regular lift your rear end, it was because I had a botched surgery on the back of my legs.
11:35
SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say if you could recap that for us and let the viewers know exactly what had happened.
11:39
SPEAKER_01: Right.
11:40
SPEAKER_01: So years ago, when they started doing lipo, and I was very, very thin, but I had like a little bit of um, you know, the cottage cheese on the back.
11:49
SPEAKER_01: You know what I'm saying?
11:50
SPEAKER_01: So there was this doctor that was in the area that, oh, we do that without anesthesia, we can fix that.
11:56
SPEAKER_01: I, you know, you just didn't know back then, right?
11:59
SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, okay.
12:01
SPEAKER_01: I went in, he did it, and as soon as I went back, I'm like, there's something wrong here.
12:08
SPEAKER_01: Something happened.
12:09
SPEAKER_01: Well, he went too far up and he took the shelf, which you know now because you saw it, that holds up the rear end.
12:16
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
12:17
SPEAKER_01: I have been to many, many plastic surgeons, many, many different treatments, all the different ones, and they were like, Well, there's really nothing we can do.
12:25
SPEAKER_01: And when I showed Kim, she goes, Yes, there is, and it's this we could do the soma cell on the back.
12:30
SPEAKER_01: And we immediately saw a difference because we I even felt like the the buttocks, and it was getting tighter and tighter.
12:38
SPEAKER_01: Right.
12:38
SPEAKER_01: All right.
12:39
SPEAKER_01: But with a situation like that, it's to me, it's not a six treatment.
12:44
SPEAKER_01: It was as many treatments as you need.
12:46
SPEAKER_00: Exactly, because there's never a guarantee with body treatment.
12:49
SPEAKER_01: But it was working, but it was not a good thing.
12:50
SPEAKER_00: But it was working, it was working.
12:52
SPEAKER_00: Viewers understand when you had the unfortunate um what happened unfortunately from the surgery was as you said, the shelf, the all the connections.
13:01
SPEAKER_00: You went too far up.
13:02
SPEAKER_00: Right.
13:02
SPEAKER_00: That was holding up the buttocks instead of having like your leg and the buttock here, yeah, then you it was very flat.
13:09
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
13:10
SPEAKER_00: Pretty much.
13:10
SPEAKER_00: And you actually, it's it's tragic, but it's hysterical.
13:14
SPEAKER_00: What did you used to say about walking?
13:15
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
13:16
SPEAKER_01: So I was like, you know, and my everyone knows my my situation.
13:20
SPEAKER_01: My fiance passed away like 13 years ago.
13:23
SPEAKER_01: And um, you know, I've been kind of keeping to myself, taking care of my animals.
13:27
SPEAKER_01: And I said to Kim, I said, you know, before if if it's not fixed, I said, if I sleep with someone, I'm just gonna have to walk out of the room backwards.
13:35
SPEAKER_01: You know, like, nice seeing you.
13:37
SPEAKER_01: And I said, but if you fix it, I'll go, you know, and I'll walk out this way.
13:41
SPEAKER_01: But it's listen, it's it's it's all like it's in your mind.
13:44
SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know that you're have you're having an issue.
13:47
SPEAKER_01: Like with someone new, you would feel uncomfortable.
13:49
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know what I mean?
13:50
SPEAKER_00: It's traumatizing because it is traumatizing.
13:53
SPEAKER_01: I mean, you could always throw a sheet over your blanket, but it would be real nice to be able to walk out and you know, be like, eh.
13:59
SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
13:59
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, so it was making me feel also with that.
14:03
SPEAKER_01: Also, I was I remember wearing certain knits where of course you're always gonna wear something.
14:08
SPEAKER_01: I don't think people are like, oh, you know, you're looking really good, because a lot of people, my friends, know the situation.
14:12
SPEAKER_01: Oh, your rear run looks better.
14:14
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh, thank you.
14:15
SPEAKER_01: So we were seeing a difference, but then I got sidetracked.
14:18
SPEAKER_01: So eight was then, but we will continue that also.
14:21
SPEAKER_01: Right.
14:21
SPEAKER_01: But again, with something like that, it was a tragedy, but you were the only one that started fixing it.
14:27
SPEAKER_00: And you know, we talked about it.
14:28
SPEAKER_00: We weren't even sure how far would we get visit, you know, we knew we were gonna get a response because on a cellular basis, that's undeniable.
14:36
SPEAKER_00: It's okay, it's like a scientific, clinically proven fact.
14:39
SPEAKER_00: Yes, but how much would it be?
14:41
SPEAKER_00: Would it be enough that you could literally feel it?
14:43
SPEAKER_00: Would it be enough for you to feel it and see it?
14:45
SPEAKER_00: Or I was feeling it and I saw a little bit.
14:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I saw it.
14:48
SPEAKER_00: So we did see on your pictures that um, so it's not apple bottom.
14:52
SPEAKER_00: No, it makes sense.
14:53
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, I'm also in my 60s, you know what I'm saying?
14:56
SPEAKER_01: So let's face that, there's gravity, right?
14:58
SPEAKER_01: What it really happened because of what they did.
15:01
SPEAKER_01: Sure, we did.
15:02
SPEAKER_01: So I was so excited.
15:03
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, me too.
15:04
SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna, like I said, I want to finish it.
15:06
SPEAKER_01: Um, but it really worked, and it was really good.
15:09
SPEAKER_01: Like it's mentally good.
15:10
SPEAKER_01: Like a lot of people, what I notice on younger, even in their 40s, what they don't notice, and I told you there's someone that has a great body, and I would love to tell her to come to you.
15:20
SPEAKER_01: We're not gonna name names, but it's right above the knee.
15:24
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
15:25
SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't have that, okay?
15:27
SPEAKER_01: But they have this great body, and then they have this little thing right above the knee.
15:32
SPEAKER_01: That would be like a perfect soma cell.
15:34
SPEAKER_00: Yes, we call it the knee roll, and is that what yes?
15:37
SPEAKER_00: People don't have to treat the entire front of the thigh, they can actually just treat that little knee roll.
15:42
SPEAKER_00: Some people have what um we we have a very scientific name for it.
15:47
SPEAKER_00: I can't believe it.
15:47
SPEAKER_00: We call it the second ass.
15:49
SPEAKER_00: Stop it! So it's like, you know, when your panties your panties are not too tight, yes, but you have a panty line anyway.
15:56
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
15:56
SPEAKER_00: So it's like your buttock, and then there's another line there.
15:59
SPEAKER_00: So that little bump there.
16:00
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
16:01
SPEAKER_00: Um, you can call it a banana roll, you can call it your second ass, whatever you might call it.
16:05
SPEAKER_01: So you just would concentrate on that.
16:06
SPEAKER_00: You could treat that.
16:07
SPEAKER_00: See, which one is insane people.
16:10
SPEAKER_00: What about the neck?
16:11
SPEAKER_00: So with the neck, we can't treat over the esophagus itself, but we can treat the sides of the neck.
16:16
SPEAKER_00: Sides.
16:17
SPEAKER_00: So it happens, especially if you do face, sides of the neck, and declete, you have this regeneration going on horizontally, vertically.
16:24
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because I was saying you would never want to do it over.
16:26
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
16:26
SPEAKER_00: So it does help to tighten and smooth out lines.
16:30
SPEAKER_00: And again.
16:32
SPEAKER_00: And again, you know, for a patient, depending on the patient's uh lifestyle and ethnicity, they might be able to do something like the initial series to get that whole regenerative process happening.
16:44
SPEAKER_00: And then they could either do PRP directly across the center where the lines are.
16:48
SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes.
16:49
SPEAKER_00: They could do PRP, they could do um some people are using neurotoxins there.
16:53
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
16:54
SPEAKER_00: You could do uh a laser um combination.
16:57
SPEAKER_00: So there's so many things.
16:58
SPEAKER_00: There's so many things.
16:59
SPEAKER_00: And again, it depends on what you want, your lifestyle, your budget, your sun exposure, your ethnicity.
17:04
SPEAKER_00: We put them all together and figure out what's going to work for you.
17:07
SPEAKER_00: Right.
17:08
SPEAKER_00: Because what works for me isn't gonna work for you or the next person, and what works for you now may not work for you three months from now.
17:14
SPEAKER_00: Right.
17:14
SPEAKER_00: So, you know, it's a constant process of uh bespoke service to make sure that you're getting what you need for you.
17:21
SPEAKER_00: What you needed.
17:22
SPEAKER_01: Let me the biggest question I have, because I've dealt with so many places, and I know how important it is to know who your technician is, number one.
17:34
SPEAKER_01: Right.
17:35
SPEAKER_01: What kind of schooling they have, what kind of knowledge they have about what you just said.
17:41
SPEAKER_01: Everything comes into play.
17:43
SPEAKER_01: Your ethnicity, that your thin skin, your thick skin, your texture, everything.
17:48
SPEAKER_01: Explain what you've been through.
17:51
SPEAKER_01: This is not even my interview, but this is some, I mean, I'm taking over for one second only because I've been there, done that.
17:58
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
17:58
SPEAKER_01: I want people to understand that just because maybe you could walk into a place and get like a 10 treatments for a groupon, you know, you're taking a big chance.
18:10
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
18:11
SPEAKER_01: Tell me why it's so important.
18:13
SPEAKER_00: So when you are graduating anything cosmetic, whether it's an aesthetician or if you're transitioning out of medicine into cosmetic medicine and you're getting into that medical aesthetic end, you have a basic knowledge.
18:26
SPEAKER_00: A basic knowledge of skin histology, anatomy, and physiology.
18:30
SPEAKER_00: Um, no offense to the doctors out there.
18:32
SPEAKER_00: No, we're not offense to anyone.
18:33
SPEAKER_00: But they know it's true because they know what they need to know for what they do.
18:37
SPEAKER_00: Right.
18:37
SPEAKER_00: But when you transition over, just because you're an MD or just because you're an NP or whatever it is, doesn't mean you understand skin histology.
18:45
SPEAKER_01: Right.
18:46
SPEAKER_00: Um, if you're an aesthetician, it's like a 600 to a thousand-hour course in general across the country.
18:52
SPEAKER_00: So what is necessary is non-stop constant education.
18:56
SPEAKER_00: That's right.
18:57
SPEAKER_00: Every single year you're in business.
18:58
SPEAKER_00: Every single year.
18:59
SPEAKER_00: Everything moves too fast.
19:00
SPEAKER_00: It's like I've marked it.
19:01
SPEAKER_00: Move too fast.
19:02
SPEAKER_01: Kim's never enjoyed.
19:04
SPEAKER_01: She's away constantly going to Italy, going to Switzerland, learning all the newest things.
19:12
SPEAKER_01: I mean, to get her in one place, like even to get my treatments.
19:16
SPEAKER_01: Like, Kim, are you gonna be in the country?
19:17
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, um, T's in, but it's true.
19:19
SPEAKER_01: You you do go everywhere it takes to find out the latest technology.
19:23
SPEAKER_01: That's the thing.
19:24
SPEAKER_01: Very impressive, Kim.
19:25
SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
19:25
SPEAKER_00: Um, but that's what you have to do if I want to do justice to you, because you as a patient, it's a privilege to me, it's not a right that I get to touch your body.
19:33
SPEAKER_00: So if you're gonna entrust your body to me, I have to make sure that I'm doing that justice.
19:39
SPEAKER_00: And not just for me, but for the staff as well.
19:41
SPEAKER_00: You know, everybody, I'm the first line of education.
19:45
SPEAKER_00: And if they cannot attend with me, I'm coming back with all the manuals, I'm coming back with video, I'm blocking out, I'm losing money for an entire day.
19:53
SPEAKER_00: I'll close the clinic down.
19:55
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
19:55
SPEAKER_00: And we'll do full trainings.
19:56
SPEAKER_00: Uh, we're and we're constantly educating.
19:58
SPEAKER_00: I'm also a medical aesthetic educator.
20:00
SPEAKER_01: Right.
20:01
SPEAKER_00: So for many years, I've actually trained doctors and nurses and shared this knowledge it forward because in our industry in specific, and you see this all the time, yeah, there are pop-ups everywhere.
20:13
SPEAKER_00: Everywhere.
20:14
SPEAKER_00: It's so scary because a lot of these places are promising you the world, you know, between needles and lasers and surgeries, and they don't really know what they're doing.
20:23
SPEAKER_01: There's horrific like people are burnt to a crisp and they think that that's good.
20:28
SPEAKER_01: It's like, oh my God, I would never do that.
20:30
SPEAKER_00: Right.
20:30
SPEAKER_01: Right.
20:31
SPEAKER_01: Never do that.
20:32
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
20:32
SPEAKER_01: They're out of their minds, these people taking these chances with people that they don't really even know who's doing their skin.
20:37
SPEAKER_00: So it's not just enough to be licensed.
20:39
SPEAKER_00: You should be licensed, and you have you should be able to paper the walls of, you know, like a five-bedroom house with all your certifications from over the years, because it's just nonstop.
20:49
SPEAKER_00: You know, think about how fast you change your phones, whether you're iPhone or Android, and tech and skincare ingredients, and not just the ingredients, but the um the vehicles.
20:59
SPEAKER_01: The technology is insane.
21:00
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
21:00
SPEAKER_00: The vehicles that actually deliver these skincare ingredients into your skin, these uh these molecules, like it's constantly changing.
21:07
SPEAKER_00: Everything's changing.
21:08
SPEAKER_00: Constantly.
21:08
SPEAKER_00: Look at how many neurotoxins we have now.
21:11
SPEAKER_01: Oh my God, it's crazy.
21:12
SPEAKER_01: So if someone now, we the reason why I'm bringing this up is because I had we had a conversation one time where you said you had a bride and the mother coming in for three treatments right before the wedding, and then because they only had time for three.
21:24
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
21:24
SPEAKER_01: And they were gonna come in and finish.
21:26
SPEAKER_01: Tell me if there was if there's a bride or if you have something coming up, maybe you're out of state, or maybe you just have time, what are you gonna get?
21:33
SPEAKER_01: We we you need the six to get your full that's the protocol.
21:37
SPEAKER_01: Right, exactly.
21:38
SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna 100% agree with it, but I saw a big difference at three also.
21:42
SPEAKER_01: So when someone does come to you and says, I'm getting married, or I'm gonna be on camera, or it's my baby shower, whatever the case may be, what do you tell them that you can do for the three times?
21:52
SPEAKER_01: Like, what are they what are you gonna do for them if they come for the three and then they're gonna finish when they're done?
21:57
SPEAKER_00: That's a great question.
21:58
SPEAKER_00: Uh, preferably we would Like to see those three treatments not be done right before because you know it'll smooth out, it'll give you like a softer, glowy, bouncier skin, but the metabolic effect's not really going to kick in yet.
22:12
SPEAKER_00: Right.
22:12
SPEAKER_00: So if they can come in two to three weeks, four weeks beforehand, we can bulk treat them, whether it's three, four, five, six, get them all done, whatever it is.
22:21
SPEAKER_00: Um, and then your body has time to process.
22:24
SPEAKER_01: How long after does it work?
22:25
SPEAKER_00: Usually by the third week, you're going to start seeing and feeling that visual uh effect, tightening tightening effect.
22:32
SPEAKER_00: And um, but definitely by week five, six, and moving forward for months afterwards, your skin continues to improve.
22:39
SPEAKER_00: Why?
22:40
SPEAKER_00: Because, like I said, we're not we are repairing and regenerating, we're not damaging.
22:45
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
22:45
SPEAKER_00: So there's two words in our industry.
22:48
SPEAKER_00: Right.
22:48
SPEAKER_00: And you know, in the US, there's two words in our industry for lifting and tightening.
22:52
SPEAKER_00: It's the only thing until soma cell came out that we know how to do, and it's called controlled wounding.
22:57
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
22:58
SPEAKER_00: So in medical aesthetics, controlled wounding means we are literally creating a wound to get a hyper-accelerated wounding effect, like that wound healing effect happening.
23:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
23:09
SPEAKER_00: And then we hope for the best from there.
23:11
SPEAKER_00: Hope that your skin is going to tighten, it's going to lift, it's going to shine, it's going to glow, it's going to plump, whatever it is that the target end treatment is.
23:20
SPEAKER_00: That's what we're hoping the end result's going to be.
23:22
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
23:23
SPEAKER_00: Um, but we have now finally stepped forward with technology where we've taken something like acoustic wave therapy, and then I developed it over the course of three and a half years for those protocols, as you mentioned.
23:36
SPEAKER_00: So we are no longer wounding.
23:38
SPEAKER_00: Controlled wounding goes out the door.
23:40
SPEAKER_00: There's still a time and a place for controlled wounding.
23:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
23:43
SPEAKER_00: But what a lot of um the newer uneducated in this industry don't understand.
23:48
SPEAKER_01: They are unfortunately uneducated, and we don't mean to be mean to people, and we're not, but they're not up to speed on this.
23:55
SPEAKER_01: How could they be?
23:56
SPEAKER_01: They didn't take the latest test, they didn't go that they can't be.
24:00
SPEAKER_00: Right.
24:00
SPEAKER_00: So, and they're also being very excited about hype from certain companies.
24:04
SPEAKER_00: So they forget the word control.
24:06
SPEAKER_01: Right.
24:07
SPEAKER_00: And they just go straight into wounding, and it becomes like a cowboy in the room, and you know, it's the wild, wild west.
24:13
SPEAKER_01: Some people, some people, the more it hurts and the deeper it is, and the more you're burned up.
24:17
SPEAKER_01: Like, where's the logic?
24:19
SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't, I can't even imagine.
24:20
SPEAKER_01: I knew immediately when I went for that one treatment.
24:23
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, this is not good, and I'm not doing this again.
24:26
SPEAKER_01: And I'm not bad mouthing the doctor either.
24:28
SPEAKER_01: He was a good doctor, but it just wasn't the right treatment for me.
24:31
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, this cannot be helping my skin.
24:32
SPEAKER_00: Right, exactly.
24:34
SPEAKER_00: And the cumulative damage from all that wild wounding instead of controlled wound wounding is also a real thing that my industry is finally starting to talk about.
24:42
SPEAKER_00: So, you know, these are things that your instincts were correct back then.
24:46
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
24:46
SPEAKER_00: And now you're getting the clinical evidence explaining why you had that gut instinct.
24:52
SPEAKER_00: And it's actually backing up your gut instinct.
24:54
SPEAKER_00: Right.
24:54
SPEAKER_00: So with Somacelle, uh, you know, Kim said it herself.
24:58
SPEAKER_00: Love it.
24:58
SPEAKER_00: Uh, the truly no downtime, truly rapid response with visuals, and then you're gonna get cumulative benefit afterwards.
25:06
SPEAKER_00: And if I say it's doesn't if I say there's no downtime and it's not painful, that's the absolute fact.
25:12
SPEAKER_01: You could walk out of there with your makeup on.
25:14
SPEAKER_00: Right, for a change.
25:15
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
25:15
SPEAKER_00: You could put your makeup on beforehand, or as you know, uh, we're in New York City, so people go straight to industries uh events or back to camera.
25:24
SPEAKER_00: And they look great.
25:25
SPEAKER_00: Right.
25:25
SPEAKER_00: So they're if even if you're getting professional makeup, you can hit the chair, you can go straight on.
25:30
SPEAKER_01: It's amazing, you look better after you do that.
25:31
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so makeup artists love it too because the makeup application goes on super smooth afterwards.
25:37
SPEAKER_00: It's amazing.
25:38
SPEAKER_00: So there's no delay, no lifestyle change.
25:40
SPEAKER_01: So when I come for the next treatment and I get that combo, do what downtime do when I say downtime, am I gonna be a little red?
25:48
SPEAKER_01: What's the downtime for me?
25:50
SPEAKER_01: Not that I care because I'm really not, I don't do anything really, but take care of my dogs and podcasts.
25:55
SPEAKER_01: But if I had to have a shower, I'm just kidding.
25:58
SPEAKER_01: I'm laughing.
25:58
SPEAKER_01: I'm just laughing.
25:59
SPEAKER_01: But um, no, so what's what what do I expect walking out the door?
26:03
SPEAKER_01: Not just some cell, I'd walk out the door and do a red carpet.
26:06
SPEAKER_01: But now getting this other treatment, which I really want, what's my downtime?
26:10
SPEAKER_00: Excellent.
26:11
SPEAKER_00: So technically, and uh in my end of the world, in my seat, there's no downtime.
26:15
SPEAKER_00: Oh however, because again, you're fair skinned.
26:19
SPEAKER_00: Yes, um, even someone that's darker skinned like myself or darker than me, we're gonna be a little pink to medium pink.
26:25
SPEAKER_00: You should not be high pink.
26:27
SPEAKER_00: You should be a little pink afterwards.
26:29
SPEAKER_00: You're gonna be glowy, a little pink.
26:30
SPEAKER_00: You're gonna feel that your skin is very energized.
26:33
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
26:34
SPEAKER_00: And it's not burning, it's not gonna burn.
26:36
SPEAKER_00: It shouldn't burn whatsoever.
26:37
SPEAKER_01: And then But I'm not gonna run out and put makeup on because I like my skin.
26:40
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right.
26:41
SPEAKER_00: You'll have a lot of um chemical-free SPF on, you know, protect your face.
26:45
SPEAKER_00: And if you can wear a hat that day, it will remind you ahead of time just because it's a precaution.
26:49
SPEAKER_00: We're getting into the summer months.
26:51
SPEAKER_00: And then you go about your day, that's it.
26:53
SPEAKER_00: That medium pink to low pink that should be gone within 24 hours or less.
26:57
SPEAKER_00: So by the time you wake up the next day, it's transitioned from like post-treatment pinkness to just break low.
27:05
SPEAKER_01: Wow.
27:05
SPEAKER_00: You shouldn't have any flaking, you shouldn't have any issues afterwards.
27:08
SPEAKER_01: I am really excited, and I really definitely want to um take before pictures on this because um everyone knows I have thyroid issues, okay?
27:18
SPEAKER_01: But I never had Hashimoto's.
27:20
SPEAKER_01: I was tested, tested, tested.
27:22
SPEAKER_01: So I go to the doctor, because I'm feeling like a little, what the hell's going on with me?
27:27
SPEAKER_01: And I go to a new endocrinologist, lovely lady, and they had taken my blood, and she goes, Do you know you have Hashimoto's?
27:32
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, because I get to remember I get tested often.
27:36
SPEAKER_01: I said, No, because I never had Hashimoto's.
27:40
SPEAKER_01: So I noticed a problem with my skin again.
27:42
SPEAKER_01: Not pimples or anything like that, but I just see the texture.
27:46
SPEAKER_01: Like the texture drier, a little bit rough.
27:49
SPEAKER_01: Drier, like you can't, like even Donna Lance, my makeup project goes, Kim, and I'm using the best stuff.
27:54
SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
27:55
SPEAKER_01: So, so again, what thank God I did the soma cell when I did, because God only knows what I would have been at this point.
28:03
SPEAKER_01: But I need that little extra care now.
28:05
SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
28:05
SPEAKER_01: And you know how many women are diagnosed with Hashimoto's at this point now, and they have no clue as to what they do.
28:11
SPEAKER_01: So I would really like to incorporate that.
28:13
SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
28:14
SPEAKER_01: I would like to really incorporate that.
28:15
SPEAKER_01: Come in fresh faced, let's take some pictures of what's going on with my skin, and let's do uh a gradual because people women are suffering with this and they just don't know what to do.
28:27
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
28:28
SPEAKER_00: I know, and it would, it's great that you're getting behind that cause and getting the word out there because that's a word I don't even know if a lot of the younger generations recognize it because nobody talks about it.
28:40
SPEAKER_01: Nobody talks about it.
28:41
SPEAKER_01: So it's I was like, well, wait a minute, and then you know, me, Chat GBT, I'm all over.
28:46
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you know, what the hell is going on?
28:49
SPEAKER_01: But it is it, listen, it happened.
28:50
SPEAKER_01: I think it has something to do with COVID.
28:52
SPEAKER_01: That's my opinion again.
28:54
SPEAKER_01: I had it a few, I didn't get the shot.
28:56
SPEAKER_01: Okay, totally right.
28:57
SPEAKER_01: But I did have COVID a couple of times, so I never had Hashimoto's.
29:01
SPEAKER_01: All of a sudden now I have like, you know what I'm saying?
29:03
SPEAKER_01: It's just a little because they say this COVID has affected so many different things.
29:07
SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
29:08
SPEAKER_01: And all of a sudden, I get this this it's like a virus that attacks your thyroid, you know, which attacks the skin, whatever.
29:15
SPEAKER_01: So this is gonna be something really something that I really want to do because I see a difference in the texture immediately.
29:20
SPEAKER_00: Excellent.
29:21
SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm really excited to get that out there.
29:23
SPEAKER_00: Yes, and always wishing you the best of success and you know, love you as a person.
29:29
SPEAKER_00: This woman is a fantastic person on top of being a beautiful celebrity.
29:34
SPEAKER_00: So excellent.
29:35
SPEAKER_00: Thank you for coming today.
29:36
SPEAKER_01: Oh, my pleasure.
29:37
SPEAKER_01: I love talking about this.
29:38
SPEAKER_01: And like, and now look what I learned.
29:40
SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
29:40
SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm so excited about the next treatment.
29:43
SPEAKER_00: Well, so am I.
29:44
SPEAKER_00: And I think it's really great that you asked me those questions because uh, like you said, we're not bashing anybody, we're not saying that anybody's technically bad per se.
29:53
SPEAKER_00: No.
29:54
SPEAKER_00: But as a patient, you do have to be aware that not every provider is created equal.
30:00
SPEAKER_00: So don't just blindly trust where you're going or grab the latest group on.
30:03
SPEAKER_00: It's not always a good idea.
