- 0:47Speaker 3: What's up?
- 0:47Speaker 6: John Jay? So I was just calling. I had a
- 0:50Speaker 6: cool segment idea where I got caught up last night
- 0:53Speaker 6: where I was kind of comparing myself to you, where
- 0:57Speaker 6: I was out to dinner with some friends and of
- 1:00Speaker 6: my friends they ordered something like a side of ranch
- 1:02Speaker 6: kind of thing with their wings and they didn't get
- 1:04Speaker 6: their ranch, so they were like, oh my gosh, isn't
- 1:06Speaker 6: it the worst thing every when you don't get your ranch?
- 1:09Speaker 6: And I just looked at him. I was like, I
- 1:10Speaker 6: think it would probably be worse if the cartel like
- 1:12Speaker 6: took your family, you know, and like like a video
- 1:15Speaker 6: of things happening, and you know, like and looked at
- 1:19Speaker 6: me and he goes, dude.
- 1:24Speaker 7: That's literally what John J.
- 1:26Speaker 8: Would do.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Yeah, but the way you said it so dry. Yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 3: and then you dip your wings in the ranch. Well, yeah,
- 1:35Speaker 3: that's kind of how I am.
- 1:36Speaker 6: It is just dry humor kind of thing, kind of
- 1:38Speaker 6: like you were just throwing those little things like that.
- 1:41Speaker 3: So the new segment is what what's the new segment?
- 1:45Speaker 6: Uh caught yourself in a John J moment?
- 1:48Speaker 3: Oh god, oh god. Yeah. I remember. One of the
- 1:53Speaker 3: first times that happened was that we were in a
- 1:54Speaker 3: meeting with our boss and he said, he goes, that's
- 1:57Speaker 3: one of the worst things ever happened. And I was like, really,
- 2:00Speaker 3: what about And I remember I can't even say. It
- 2:03Speaker 3: was so dark, it was so dark, and then I go, yeah,
- 2:07Speaker 3: I mean I go dark, I can go really dark,
- 2:09Speaker 3: but but.
- 2:11Speaker 9: I don't remember look on his face for a good soul,
- 2:13Speaker 9: admitted oh, yeah.
- 2:14Speaker 3: He was. I think that's when he started. He could
- 2:16Speaker 3: put me in contact with his shrink, the couple therapy. Yeah,
- 2:19Speaker 3: that's right, I remember that.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Well yeah, thank you, Adam Mosegment. You got to have
- 2:28Speaker 3: a great day. Thanks for listening. Appreciate you. Thank you.
- 2:31Speaker 3: There's nothing worse with him, forget the ranch. Actually there
- 2:34Speaker 3: is his friend just staring at him all the way.
- 2:40Speaker 3: All right. Speaking to restaurants, rich you said you had
- 2:43Speaker 3: something's a strange drive through story.
- 2:45Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 2:46Speaker 9: I think people in general are are stranger now, just
- 2:49Speaker 9: in general. Then they used to be like two years ago.
- 2:52Speaker 9: And uh, my wife loves her a drive through. I
- 2:56Speaker 9: don't like to go to the drive through, but there's
- 2:58Speaker 9: times we're heading somewhere is like, I'm so thirsty, so
- 3:00Speaker 9: can we just stop buy and get a drink. So
- 3:03Speaker 9: we popped by our local taco bell and we get
- 3:06Speaker 9: to the drive through and Stacy says to the drive
- 3:10Speaker 9: through person, Hi, I would like a taco, and do
- 3:13Speaker 9: you have any cherry coke? And the drive through person says,
- 3:18Speaker 9: I would never drink cherry coke. It's disgusting. I can't
- 3:21Speaker 9: imagine anybody would ever get cherry coke. And I said, uh, yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 9: well I was just asking if you had She's like, yeah, yeah,
- 3:30Speaker 9: we have it. We have a lot of it, but
- 3:31Speaker 9: no bizarre that the drive through person has an opinion.
- 3:36Speaker 7: That okay, yeah, put it on there.
- 3:38Speaker 2: So I'm like, what's happening?
- 3:40Speaker 3: Was it one of those people? Like was Chelsea Handler
- 3:42Speaker 3: handling the microphone? Do it? They do a bit where
- 3:45Speaker 3: the celebrity does a driver.
- 3:46Speaker 9: Regular old non celebrity running the taco bell. But I
- 3:50Speaker 9: guess like hot hot take on the on the menus
- 3:53Speaker 9: menu items cherry, I guess not really like really against
- 3:57Speaker 9: the cherry coke. And I'm like, I wonder if a
- 4:00Speaker 9: people have heard weird things from people just service people
- 4:03Speaker 9: in general through the drive through, Like is anybody bumping
- 4:05Speaker 9: into feared people lately? Because I think people are getting
- 4:08Speaker 9: stranger and stranger.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I sent Kyle of video. Uh, Kyle, you remember this video?
- 4:12Speaker 3: I said you because I thought it was so like
- 4:15Speaker 3: it's a guy, it's a woman to drive through. Okay.
- 4:17Speaker 3: So picture you're the car behind the car to drive through, okay,
- 4:22Speaker 3: and he's a woman. She's driving, and she's got her
- 4:25Speaker 3: foot out the window and the drive through attendant is
- 4:29Speaker 3: like smelling your feet or kissing your feet or something right,
- 4:33Speaker 3: and then she takes her foot, she puts her foot
- 4:36Speaker 3: back in and then the guy hands her her free
- 4:38Speaker 3: bag of McDonald her bag of McDonald's and she got
- 4:40Speaker 3: it for free. And I was like, how does it
- 4:42Speaker 3: get to that level?
- 4:43Speaker 11: Right?
- 4:44Speaker 8: So quickly? Drive through?
- 4:45Speaker 3: Like I was like, yeah, you walk to McDonald's, helve
- 4:47Speaker 3: bey order, can I think? Yeah, give me a big
- 4:49Speaker 3: Mac and a six peak j McNugget And if I
- 4:51Speaker 3: let you smell my feet, can I get the food
- 4:53Speaker 3: for free? Yes? You can? Please? Drive through? Like how
- 4:54Speaker 3: did he get probably? Just like because it doesn't look
- 4:57Speaker 3: to me like it's a set up. Video was like
- 4:58Speaker 3: the personal hnd's like, what the heck's going over here?
- 5:00Speaker 3: And they start filming it and.
- 5:01Speaker 7: The girl looks back like, what's your problem?
- 5:04Speaker 3: I get free food? What the hell should.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Field trip? Field trip we do?
- 5:12Speaker 3: How many times you did go through the drive through?
- 5:15Speaker 3: Like I'd have to go, I'd work the window, I'd
- 5:19Speaker 3: like to apply for job here for what I'd wait
- 5:21Speaker 3: until it col comes to the drive through? Do you
- 5:23Speaker 3: want them for free? It's just weird. I remember one
- 5:26Speaker 3: time going through. I think it's dairy queen where I
- 5:30Speaker 3: know they take the ice cream and they dip it
- 5:31Speaker 3: for you. They show you upside down.
- 5:32Speaker 9: Ye yeah, right, yeah, that's for the for the blizzards.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Oh, the blizzards. But I remember, I thought it was
- 5:39Speaker 3: there where they say if they don't ask for you,
- 5:41Speaker 3: if you want a receipt, you get it free.
- 5:43Speaker 8: You're hear, Dad, that sounds about right, dairy queen, I think, yeah,
- 5:47Speaker 8: I remember.
- 5:47Speaker 3: And then that's like their thing.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Now.
- 5:49Speaker 3: I don't know if it's still their thing, but I
- 5:50Speaker 3: remember that I went they didn't ask for my receipt
- 5:53Speaker 3: and I said, hey, you didn't ask if I get
- 5:55Speaker 3: a receipt, does that mean my ice cream is free?
- 5:58Speaker 3: And they're like, we don't do that anymore. Ok, wait,
- 6:01Speaker 3: wait wait, And then I left and at the time
- 6:04Speaker 3: I checked, and they did do it. And that person
- 6:07Speaker 3: who just.
- 6:07Speaker 11: Caught cod I think, because I'm sure they have to
- 6:11Speaker 11: mark that they gave away free ice out of their right.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I was.
- 6:21Speaker 7: Check in with John Jay Bridge.
- 6:24Speaker 8: And hit the top that fight.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Hey, what's the vie for herscope? Today?
- 6:28Speaker 11: I'm gonna let you know the thing that your zodiac
- 6:30Speaker 11: sign refuses to admit. Also, if it's your birthday, today
- 6:34Speaker 11: you are a Gemini. You share a birthday with Adriana
- 6:37Speaker 11: Lima and Frank Don Tolliver, Dave Franco and Jesse Rays.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Dang all right calls at eight seven seven nine three
- 6:44Speaker 3: seven one four seven. So it is your birthday today?
- 6:46Speaker 3: What's your scope?
- 6:46Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 6:46Speaker 8: If it's your birthday today, your a Gemini. So Gemini is.
- 6:49Speaker 8: The thing that you guys refuse to admit.
- 6:51Speaker 11: Is that you double book your social schedule and then
- 6:53Speaker 11: you ghost people because you're deeply terrified of missing out
- 6:57Speaker 11: on a better option. So you love to play oblivious
- 7:00Speaker 11: and you secretly just have a zero attention span for commitment.
- 7:04Speaker 3: All right, let's say hello to Mary Kay. Good morning,
- 7:06Speaker 3: Mary Kay, Hi, good morning, Hi. What's your sign?
- 7:11Speaker 8: I'm an Arie?
- 7:12Speaker 11: Okay, So, my Aries, the thing that you guys refuse
- 7:15Speaker 11: to admit is that you aggressively create your own stress
- 7:18Speaker 11: by treating every single day like it's this high stakes
- 7:21Speaker 11: competitive race. I promise nobody's trying to outwork you or
- 7:24Speaker 11: outspeed you. At nine am, Aries, you.
- 7:27Speaker 8: Guys just completely look at your own redlining over your
- 7:30Speaker 8: basic to do list.
- 7:33Speaker 6: That sounds pretty accurate. We are our own worst enemies.
- 7:36Speaker 13: I sure.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Oh, Mary Kay, have a great day, Mary Kay. Thanks guys,
- 7:42Speaker 3: you too, well by Hello Jen.
- 7:46Speaker 14: Good morning, Good morning.
- 7:48Speaker 3: What's your sign? Jen?
- 7:50Speaker 8: I'm a cancer Okay, so for my cancers. The things
- 7:53Speaker 8: that you.
- 7:53Speaker 11: Guys refuse to admit is that you actually enjoy swimming
- 7:57Speaker 11: in your own emotional misery. Sometimes you hold on to
- 8:00Speaker 11: grudges like their premium collectibles. Your hypersensive water side will
- 8:05Speaker 11: rewrite a tiny accidental text shown shift into this massive,
- 8:09Speaker 11: full scale betrayal just so you can feel something.
- 8:13Speaker 14: Oh my gosh, I feel like you just rich. I
- 8:19Speaker 14: am very emotional. I don't grudges that I love crying
- 8:23Speaker 14: and you do having a rich but I yes, I'm
- 8:26Speaker 14: having a rich moment right now.
- 8:27Speaker 9: I don't love crying, but I mean when you watch
- 8:29Speaker 9: Hail Mary and that rock tries to sacrifice themselves to save.
- 8:34Speaker 2: That rock, that rock made you cry. I cried over rock.
- 8:42Speaker 14: Thank you for scoping me.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Tap, You're welcome, Viy, Thanks.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Thanks. How about libros.
- 8:48Speaker 11: Lero's Kyle, You refuse to admit that your chronic indecisiveness
- 8:52Speaker 11: is actually a deep fear of everyone in the room
- 8:55Speaker 11: not liking you. Ouch, you will spend forty five minutes
- 8:58Speaker 11: violently agreeing with two opposite sides of a fight just
- 9:01Speaker 11: to maintain the piece in the middle incorrect.
- 9:05Speaker 8: I we agree because.
- 9:06Speaker 7: We can see both sides. We can see both sides.
- 9:11Speaker 13: Also, who wants everyone in the room to not like them?
- 9:18Speaker 15: Oh?
- 9:19Speaker 3: What's funny about you say that? So I have you
- 9:21Speaker 3: know the highly successful John Jvans podcast. Also on Instagram,
- 9:25Speaker 3: you can follow the John Jvans Podcast. I don't run
- 9:28Speaker 3: that podcast. I have no no access to it or nothing.
- 9:32Speaker 3: And there's a couple of the guests I've interviewed has
- 9:35Speaker 3: got some like a negative comment or two, and I
- 9:37Speaker 3: feel bad for the guests. So I'll call it the
- 9:39Speaker 3: guy that runs it, Tiler of my podcast creator, and
- 9:41Speaker 3: I'll be like, hey this somebody says something. I go,
- 9:43Speaker 3: can you do it? They don't need that? Delete it.
- 9:45Speaker 3: He's like all right. And then the other day I
- 9:47Speaker 3: was there doing the podcast and he goes, man, because
- 9:50Speaker 3: it's been a couple of haters so far, because I've
- 9:52Speaker 3: never seen so much hate. And I was like, huh,
- 9:56Speaker 3: And I go, how many core three comments he had
- 9:58Speaker 3: to delete? I go, bro, I get thousands, I go
- 10:04Speaker 3: look it. Pounce off? Who cares? Like three? And he
- 10:07Speaker 3: goes yeah, and then they get mad and say why
- 10:09Speaker 3: do you keep deleting comments? I like, well block those
- 10:11Speaker 3: guys if they say why are you deleting comments? Because
- 10:13Speaker 3: we don't. There's no room for negativity on this Instagram.
- 10:15Speaker 3: The John J. Vans Podcast is a positive podcast follow
- 10:19Speaker 3: to Instagram. Uh, speaking of John J. Vanas, what's his instagram?
- 10:22Speaker 3: He's a virgo? What do you got for a virgos?
- 10:25Speaker 15: Well?
- 10:25Speaker 11: The thing that my virgos refused to admit is that
- 10:28Speaker 11: your constant, quote unquote helpful advice is actually just a passive,
- 10:32Speaker 11: aggressive urge to micromanage and control everyone around you. You
- 10:35Speaker 11: truly believe you're saving the day, when in reality people
- 10:38Speaker 11: are just deeply.
- 10:39Speaker 8: Exhausted by you.
- 10:40Speaker 16: Wow wowsers the stars that set you say, that works?
- 10:48Speaker 3: That's fine? Did we get everybody? Did we do everybody?
- 10:50Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 10:51Speaker 3: Okay, all right, if you can get your sign the
- 10:53Speaker 3: I'll post it on a website. Johnjdrich dot com Yo
- 10:58Speaker 3: one four Kiss FM. It's John Jay and Rich. Hey, Tara,
- 11:02Speaker 3: how are you? Thanks for holding?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Hey?
- 11:05Speaker 14: Yeah, I'm I'm doing okay. But I called in cause
- 11:08Speaker 14: I generally don't know what to do about my best
- 11:11Speaker 14: friend's new boyfriend. Basically, we've known this guy since we
- 11:16Speaker 14: were kids, and he used to bully me so much
- 11:20Speaker 14: when we were younger. And I'm like talking like middle
- 11:23Speaker 14: school super villain, like I this dude made fun of
- 11:26Speaker 14: my fangs, He made fun of my braces, he made
- 11:29Speaker 14: fun of like my clothing, like nothing, nothing was safe.
- 11:33Speaker 14: And I used to run track and once he was
- 11:36Speaker 14: there and he told me that I ran, Like what.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Do you say?
- 11:39Speaker 14: He said, I ran like a divorced aunt chasing.
- 11:42Speaker 12: A coupon, And honestly, I've never recovered from that. That
- 11:46Speaker 12: that stayed with me. And I mean, like now he's
- 11:50Speaker 12: like suddenly showing up to girls' nights, He's holding flowers,
- 11:54Speaker 12: he's calling my best friend beautiful, like sir, like you
- 11:57Speaker 12: used to bully me so much and like used to
- 11:59Speaker 12: throw odd fulled out my head doing Jim Like I'm
- 12:02Speaker 12: just trying to be supportive, but every time she says,
- 12:04Speaker 12: oh my god, he's so sweet, I just feel like
- 12:07Speaker 12: a war veteran being gaslet. Like it's just it's like
- 12:10Speaker 12: disrespectful to me.
- 12:11Speaker 2: At this point, I think he liked you in middle school.
- 12:14Speaker 7: Has he acknowledged it? It all like, hey, sorry, I
- 12:16Speaker 7: was such a jerk back then.
- 12:18Speaker 12: No, I don't.
- 12:19Speaker 14: I don't even think that he changed. And if he
- 12:21Speaker 14: did like me, he's really good at acting like it
- 12:24Speaker 14: just seemed like.
- 12:25Speaker 3: He hated me. It's funny. So when you describe it,
- 12:27Speaker 3: I feel like I'm seeing a movie in my head,
- 12:29Speaker 3: and it's like this kid with whatever you know, middle
- 12:31Speaker 3: school kid tip. We all know the middle school kids.
- 12:33Speaker 3: You're all you are, We were all one of them,
- 12:35Speaker 3: and it's you're making fun of people, you're having fun.
- 12:37Speaker 3: And now he like shows up. He's cooking up with
- 12:41Speaker 3: your best friend. He's got abs, he's bringing her flowers,
- 12:44Speaker 3: he's good looking, he's like the stud from off season
- 12:48Speaker 3: or whatever it's called off campus. Like it's just like this,
- 12:51Speaker 3: like but when everyone when you're a kid, you're goofy.
- 12:53Speaker 3: But obviously you triggered you. I mean, I think the
- 12:56Speaker 3: same sex bullies. Like for me, when I think about
- 12:58Speaker 3: the bullies I had grown up, screw the those guys,
- 13:01Speaker 3: screw those guys. But like the girl feels there was
- 13:03Speaker 3: a girl that no same sex. I said, with the girl,
- 13:06Speaker 3: the girl that bullied me, she's way hot. Yeah right now, yeah,
- 13:10Speaker 3: I remember, probably liked you too, colle. I remember she Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 3: I remember this Colleen girl. She said some things to me,
- 13:16Speaker 3: uh and I was like really embarrassed, and uh now
- 13:19Speaker 3: I think she likes I think she liked me, and
- 13:21Speaker 3: I think back, but you know what I mean, So
- 13:22Speaker 3: it's different. But anyway, what are you gonna do. Your
- 13:25Speaker 3: friend likes him?
- 13:26Speaker 2: Is he cute?
- 13:26Speaker 3: Your friend likes him?
- 13:28Speaker 14: Okay, I'm not gonna like he's pretty cute. And like
- 13:31Speaker 14: when I was younger, like I did kind of like him,
- 13:33Speaker 14: but like every time he bullied me just felt like
- 13:34Speaker 14: a punch to the face. And like now I just
- 13:37Speaker 14: have to like see him three times a week and
- 13:39Speaker 14: it's it's a lot.
- 13:41Speaker 11: Maybe I should be the person to extend that all
- 13:44Speaker 11: of branch and be like, hey, you're dating my girl.
- 13:46Speaker 11: You're dating like one of my best friends now, so
- 13:48Speaker 11: whatever this was back then, like just you know, you
- 13:51Speaker 11: kind of hurt my feelings, but I hope that you
- 13:52Speaker 11: treat my girl right, you know what I mean?
- 13:54Speaker 13: Or just clear the air, like, oh my god, you
- 13:56Speaker 13: remember when you act so me and all the time
- 13:58Speaker 13: he remember the.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Joke of it, I don't remember, or I'm so sorry,
- 14:02Speaker 3: like he should be. He's an adult. Now he's probably
- 14:05Speaker 3: you know what I mean, I think I think, I
- 14:07Speaker 3: think I would think so because your best friend, I mean,
- 14:10Speaker 3: she's good people, right.
- 14:12Speaker 14: Yeah, she's a really good she's a really good friend.
- 14:14Speaker 14: I was so surprised when she started dating him.
- 14:17Speaker 3: She's all, you're not gonna believe this. I'm dating Ricky Brinkerhoff.
- 14:21Speaker 16: That's the guy, one of the guys like that was
- 14:25Speaker 16: very specific.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Ricky breaker Off. That's a bully name, Dennis Ganey, Dennis Kinney.
- 14:30Speaker 3: I already died. I know this guy, Dennis Ganey. And
- 14:33Speaker 3: you said beat me up all the time. And I
- 14:35Speaker 3: remember I'd come home crying and I'd be so and
- 14:37Speaker 3: my mom we were going my mom made me go
- 14:39Speaker 3: through to the grocery store with my mom, my sister,
- 14:41Speaker 3: and we get in the car and we're driving. We're
- 14:43Speaker 3: in Chandler. We're driving and like where we got the
- 14:46Speaker 3: grocery store. She's like, we're gonna go to Dannis Kinney's house.
- 14:50Speaker 3: And I dropped down the backseat of the car and
- 14:52Speaker 3: I'd lay down on the floor and I was crying, no, no,
- 14:54Speaker 3: and my sister's like, eh, they drove by his house.
- 14:59Speaker 3: My mom drove by his house, and I was so upset. No,
- 15:03Speaker 3: she didn't go in, but I was like, and he
- 15:06Speaker 3: smelled so bad. And then I overheard the football coach
- 15:09Speaker 3: telling another football coach that Dennis had some issues at home.
- 15:14Speaker 3: And I remember eavesdropping on that, and I was kind
- 15:16Speaker 3: of okay, but still he was so meaningful. He was
- 15:19Speaker 3: so mean to me. And then later on in life,
- 15:21Speaker 3: you hear about bullies that usually most bullies do have
- 15:23Speaker 3: that problem at home. And I got to tell you,
- 15:26Speaker 3: eighth grade John Jay agrees with that.
- 15:28Speaker 9: There was somebody, John j. We were in a baseball
- 15:31Speaker 9: game or something.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Oh yeah, he died too. Oh you know who I'm
- 15:33Speaker 3: talking about the guy that did that. We were at
- 15:38Speaker 3: the World Series. Rich and I at the World Series.
- 15:40Speaker 3: We're on the upper deck. I looked down and there's
- 15:42Speaker 3: a guy that I know. I don't want to say
- 15:43Speaker 3: his name because he passed away already and it's sad
- 15:45Speaker 3: and he was below and I go, look, he looks
- 15:47Speaker 3: up me. He does this deal, you know what I mean?
- 15:52Speaker 3: And I was like yeah, And I was like, I
- 15:55Speaker 3: was on the upper deck.
- 15:58Speaker 9: This guy's like five two and John, I don't know what, Oh, yes,
- 16:02Speaker 9: you could squash it like a.
- 16:05Speaker 3: So two of the bullies died one more too, just
- 16:08Speaker 3: like m I A.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Turns out you can't have pissed off John Jay in
- 16:11Speaker 2: middle school.
- 16:11Speaker 3: I'm coming after you. And then there's Brett Johnson. Brett
- 16:15Speaker 3: Johnson was the guy. I think I told you guys.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I was sitting with them at a w Roopier and
- 16:18Speaker 3: Chandler and he says to me, Hey, no fence, but
- 16:20Speaker 3: is your dad fat like you?
- 16:22Speaker 9: Oh my god, Brett rude t you got You didn't
- 16:27Speaker 9: have a bully, you had a crush.
- 16:30Speaker 3: I'm the one trigger.
- 16:31Speaker 15: Now.
- 16:31Speaker 2: She threw a ball. You was dodge ball. It was dodgeball.
- 16:34Speaker 7: Remember we're talking about my.
- 16:37Speaker 3: All right, Tera, thanks for calling in.
- 16:39Speaker 14: Good luck, Thank you.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Give up.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Is John Jay and Rich John Jay and Rich. It's
- 16:48Speaker 3: time for stacks and hacks. I have stacks of information.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Rich has life hacks. Anybody you have a I did.
- 16:55Speaker 3: I got rid of it.
- 16:56Speaker 7: I did, but it's in our garage now because it broke.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Why'd you get rid of it?
- 16:59Speaker 15: Rich?
- 17:00Speaker 2: I think mine's stopped working too. But I just kind
- 17:03Speaker 2: of threw it out.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Oh I didn't know. I don't know if something happened
- 17:05Speaker 3: with Rumba. But it says. The folks behind Rumba are back.
- 17:08Speaker 3: This time they're developing a new AI powered pet robot
- 17:11Speaker 3: for companionship. You could take it off for walks, and
- 17:14Speaker 3: I guess you can leave the poop bags at home
- 17:17Speaker 3: because you don't need it. If you got a pet.
- 17:19Speaker 7: Rumba, I'd rather just have the pet clean up.
- 17:21Speaker 13: It just sounds like extra for I got to take
- 17:25Speaker 13: that for a walk now, I know, I got to
- 17:26Speaker 13: take that.
- 17:26Speaker 8: For a walk.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Are you happier or less happy than you were in
- 17:30Speaker 3: the two thousand and tens.
- 17:33Speaker 11: Life was pretty good in the twenty tens. Yeah, but
- 17:36Speaker 11: life is also pretty good right now.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Thirty one percent of people say they're happier now twenty
- 17:42Speaker 3: three percent of people say they are the same level
- 17:44Speaker 3: of happy.
- 17:45Speaker 8: Yeah, recalling for it, different kinds of happies. Like twenty ten,
- 17:49Speaker 8: I was living at home.
- 17:51Speaker 11: I had nothing to worry about but summer break, the worls,
- 17:54Speaker 11: none of that.
- 17:54Speaker 8: I mean, that's true, You're right, it is the same.
- 17:59Speaker 3: You know. I'm new to the coffee world, so whenever
- 18:02Speaker 3: I see coffee stories I like to get involved in
- 18:04Speaker 3: it is coffee benefits go well beyond the simple caffeine boosts.
- 18:07Speaker 3: The new study found that coffee positively influences the gut microbiome,
- 18:11Speaker 3: increasing beneficial bacteria that supports digestion and immune function, like
- 18:15Speaker 3: a prebiotic.
- 18:16Speaker 9: I didn't know that makes sense. That's why when you
- 18:18Speaker 9: drink coffee usually gotta go to the bathroom.
- 18:20Speaker 3: A new poll found thirty nine percent of us have
- 18:23Speaker 3: cried at work before. What are you having at Yeah?
- 18:27Speaker 8: I think that that's accurate.
- 18:29Speaker 11: Honestly, if you've never cried at work, you have your
- 18:32Speaker 11: emotions in check.
- 18:33Speaker 8: I'm impressed.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Almost everyone said they openlyvent or complained about their job
- 18:37Speaker 3: to family, your friends, at least occasionally a full third
- 18:39Speaker 3: set every day or a few times a week. I
- 18:40Speaker 3: complain to friends. A lot of us have cried multiple times.
- 18:44Speaker 3: Twenty five percent said once or twice. Okay, what's something
- 18:49Speaker 3: that sounds impressive until you've actually done it? This is
- 18:55Speaker 3: really interesting.
- 18:55Speaker 9: I got what, what like a several course dinner? Sounds impressive.
- 19:00Speaker 9: They break out all the food, But really it's kind
- 19:01Speaker 9: of a beat down, isn't it. You kind of want
- 19:02Speaker 9: to eat leave. That sounds impressive, but I don't want
- 19:06Speaker 9: anything to do with it.
- 19:06Speaker 3: All right here? Number one answer is running a marathon.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, same.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Before you do it, it feels like it's a monumental,
- 19:12Speaker 3: almost mythical achievement. Afterwards you realize just a very long, painful,
- 19:16Speaker 3: boring experience that leaves you with blisters and desperate for banana.
- 19:19Speaker 11: How I felt about doing the Spartan Race. Seriously, I
- 19:22Speaker 11: was like, I will never do this.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Becoming a manager. It sounds like a promotion, but you
- 19:28Speaker 3: spend most of your time solving other people's problems. Getting
- 19:32Speaker 3: a PhD. Having people call you doctor uber Driver only
- 19:36Speaker 3: goes so far, doctor uber Driver. Making a good mushroom
- 19:40Speaker 3: parmesan Rossota way impressive until youve done it. Skills required,
- 19:44Speaker 3: stirring Ninety percent of it is stirring and waiting.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it takes a long time.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Public speaking. We make it such a big deal, but
- 19:49Speaker 3: then after it's done, we think, oh, that's it. Solving
- 19:53Speaker 3: a roobics cube. I can only do one side. I've
- 19:57Speaker 3: never been able to solve a rooms cube. Writing a
- 20:01Speaker 3: book sounds impressed. Well rich, you've done it a couple
- 20:04Speaker 3: of times now, and was it.
- 20:06Speaker 9: I think it's satisfying because that that was for charity,
- 20:09Speaker 9: so that that helped.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Out sounds impressive until you've done in according to this list.
- 20:13Speaker 9: Although you do have to really like nobody wants to
- 20:15Speaker 9: buy books, you've really got to go out there and
- 20:17Speaker 9: make people buy your book.
- 20:18Speaker 3: This on the list here, I think is very impressive.
- 20:20Speaker 3: This is learning how to do backflips. I always think
- 20:22Speaker 3: that's impressive. That'd be cool carrying a phone book in half?
- 20:26Speaker 3: Who the hell can do that? Who can tear a
- 20:27Speaker 3: phone book in half? I need a panic woman. I
- 20:29Speaker 3: saw her do that on TV. Or do you find
- 20:31Speaker 3: a phone book anymore? Juggling I think juggling is impressive
- 20:35Speaker 3: as hell. Three balls in a weekend and you'll be
- 20:37Speaker 3: able to juggle. You know what I juggle, But in
- 20:41Speaker 3: my mind impressive, impressive. I'll do it right now. Whoops
- 20:50Speaker 3: dropped one.
- 20:52Speaker 7: Whoops.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Life acts all right.
- 20:54Speaker 9: If your life is sort of cluttered right now and
- 20:58Speaker 9: you're thinking about, oh, man, I should do a yard sale,
- 21:01Speaker 9: but I don't want like people coming to my house
- 21:03Speaker 9: and I have to haggle over stuff I don't want anyway,
- 21:05Speaker 9: And you don't want to put in your car and
- 21:06Speaker 9: drive it to a place. Here's the thing that people
- 21:09Speaker 9: say is the best way to clear the clutter from
- 21:12Speaker 9: your life, and that is a free yard sale. Put
- 21:15Speaker 9: the stuff you don't want at the end of your
- 21:17Speaker 9: driveway with a big free sign and watch what happens.
- 21:21Speaker 9: It's probably like whenever we put food in the kitchen
- 21:23Speaker 9: at the radio stage. It just disappears in seconds. Look,
- 21:27Speaker 9: your neighbors are cheap and they love a good treasure hunt,
- 21:29Speaker 9: and you're gonna be amaze how fast things disappear. Most
- 21:32Speaker 9: people say their free yard sale is over in five
- 21:36Speaker 9: minutes once you put the free side up there. So
- 21:39Speaker 9: if you want to get rid of some clutter, try that.
- 21:41Speaker 9: Let us know how it works. That life hack can
- 21:43Speaker 9: be found at John Jaynridge dot com.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Jomped, John Jay and Rich Good morning, Ashland, Hey, good morning,
- 21:54Speaker 3: good morning. Thanks for holding what's up?
- 21:56Speaker 15: So I wanted to tell you guys about my boyfriend's
- 21:58Speaker 15: new business and his new purchase that went along with it. Okay,
- 22:05Speaker 15: So he started a new business, kind of went off
- 22:07Speaker 15: on his own from what he was doing before. And
- 22:11Speaker 15: the vehicle that he's using as his work.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Vehicle is a cyber truck. And like nobody likes the
- 22:16Speaker 1: cyber truck right, like you guys agree with me there,
- 22:19Speaker 1: I like him.
- 22:19Speaker 3: I just wish there were gas.
- 22:22Speaker 9: Well, they couldn't call it cyber truck. They just have
- 22:24Speaker 9: to call it gas truck. Why cyber means it's like,
- 22:27Speaker 9: you know, something other than a technology doesn't have to
- 22:30Speaker 9: mean electric.
- 22:31Speaker 8: Is the name of it, right?
- 22:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I just think it's kind of like I think when
- 22:38Speaker 1: he's been pulling up to these I mean it's a
- 22:40Speaker 1: small business, right, So like when.
- 22:41Speaker 15: He's pulling up to these individual homes, like.
- 22:43Speaker 1: It's not really screaming like, oh, this guy like needs
- 22:46Speaker 1: my business, you know, Like it's kind of screaming like
- 22:49Speaker 1: this dude wants everyone to know he's rich, and he
- 22:51Speaker 1: also wants to take my money.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Like Euphoria had a cyber.
- 22:54Speaker 8: Truck, that's true, what happened to him? I had no money.
- 22:58Speaker 13: Does his cyber truck have his business plastered all over it?
- 23:03Speaker 1: I mean yeah, it has logos on it.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Yes.
- 23:05Speaker 13: I kind of feel like you're looking at this all wrong,
- 23:07Speaker 13: whether whether you love or hate the cyber truck. It's
- 23:10Speaker 13: almost like when one's driving down the road, you can't
- 23:13Speaker 13: not look at it. So it's almost like kind of
- 23:15Speaker 13: genius marketing because people are gonna look at his business.
- 23:18Speaker 3: I look at them all the time. I think they're cool, but.
- 23:20Speaker 1: You probably look at them and you're like, they already
- 23:22Speaker 1: have money, like they don't like I think it's turning
- 23:24Speaker 1: people off, like yes, it's advertising, but then it's like
- 23:28Speaker 1: this person just has a lot of money they want
- 23:30Speaker 1: to borrow.
- 23:31Speaker 13: Or or maybe you're looking at this all wrong again,
- 23:34Speaker 13: or they say, wow, that business probably does really well.
- 23:36Speaker 7: A lot of people use it. Maybe I should use
- 23:38Speaker 7: it as well.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I think maybe maybe some people think like that.
- 23:43Speaker 14: I don't know what I think.
- 23:45Speaker 7: You just hate the cyber truck.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Does he know you hate it? What does he say?
- 23:49Speaker 15: I mean he says I'm being ridiculous.
- 23:51Speaker 1: But if I'm looking for a local business and this
- 23:55Speaker 1: giant stainless field triangle thing rolled up in my driveway
- 23:58Speaker 1: on my street, I mean I'm just going to be
- 24:00Speaker 1: immediately suspicious. So it just it doesn't scream small business owner.
- 24:06Speaker 1: It just screams I own at least three NFTs.
- 24:08Speaker 2: So yeah, I get it. I get it.
- 24:15Speaker 9: So he's not really he's not really taking your direction.
- 24:18Speaker 9: He's just he's just going full into uber douche business owner.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Yeah, like none of my opinions matter.
- 24:25Speaker 14: It feels like.
- 24:28Speaker 3: All right, Ash, thanks for calling in.
- 24:30Speaker 14: Thank you.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Speaking of small business, I gotta tell you something happen
- 24:32Speaker 3: the other day. I hate when people knock on my door.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Hate it. And I hate when it's always people solictening
- 24:38Speaker 3: for something, you know, Because I have all these dogs,
- 24:40Speaker 3: they bark as cass and I gotta lure the dogs
- 24:43Speaker 3: to the front door and then run to the side
- 24:44Speaker 3: door to get out so they don't come out. And
- 24:46Speaker 3: I go out and there's this kid at the front door,
- 24:48Speaker 3: and I can't tell you if he's doing that pitch
- 24:50Speaker 3: you ever get those pitch the people to pitch you
- 24:52Speaker 3: on the candies or the books, and they're from a
- 24:55Speaker 3: rough neighborhood or whatever. Right, So this guy, this guy, tall,
- 24:59Speaker 3: good looking, bla kid, his spiel. I couldn't tell if
- 25:03Speaker 3: I was being scammed up because he was so polite,
- 25:06Speaker 3: and he blew my socks off. And I was quizzing
- 25:08Speaker 3: him because he said, I live in your neighborhood. I'm
- 25:10Speaker 3: doing whatever. I'm like, dude, you really lose. I start
- 25:12Speaker 3: quiz about people and he was really good. And what's
- 25:14Speaker 3: funny about this kid is a couple months ago, I
- 25:17Speaker 3: was driving down the street and I saw a car
- 25:20Speaker 3: a truck, not a cyber truck. And it was like
- 25:23Speaker 3: a barbecue cleaning company, right clean your barbecue. I said
- 25:27Speaker 3: to my wife, I go hey, I saw that, and
- 25:28Speaker 3: I like local businesses. I said my wife, I goes, hey,
- 25:31Speaker 3: I saw this grill cleaning company. I should call him.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I took a picture of it and get them to
- 25:35Speaker 3: clean our grill. And she goes, oh, I already have
- 25:38Speaker 3: the whatever barbecue doctor coming to clean our grill. And
- 25:41Speaker 3: I was like, oh, okay, and the barbecue guy that
- 25:43Speaker 3: we've used him for twenty years or whatever, this kid
- 25:46Speaker 3: is starting his new business and it's called Grimy Grill
- 25:50Speaker 3: and that's what he does. He comes and spends three
- 25:52Speaker 3: or four hours and clean your grill. And I want
- 25:54Speaker 3: to get him on the air. His spiel was so
- 25:56Speaker 3: good and he was so polite. So I said to him,
- 25:59Speaker 3: I go on, deal, you got it. You clean my
- 26:01Speaker 3: So he cleaned my grill yesterday. It looks fantastic, and
- 26:04Speaker 3: I'm so like, this makes any sense. I'm so proud
- 26:07Speaker 3: of him.
- 26:07Speaker 2: He's like a student at GCUN.
- 26:11Speaker 3: And what's funny is like after he was done, I
- 26:13Speaker 3: went back to I went home and looked at the
- 26:14Speaker 3: grill and they put a little like a he was
- 26:15Speaker 3: like a clothing tag and like a brand of a
- 26:17Speaker 3: clothing tag was around the part of the grill and
- 26:19Speaker 3: it says something. It said. It all printed up all nice,
- 26:22Speaker 3: and it said thanks for choosing grimy girls. But when
- 26:26Speaker 3: they printed it, they spilled choosing wrong, so it's thanks
- 26:28Speaker 3: for choosing and they crossed it out and wrote choosing like.
- 26:32Speaker 3: I was like, I mean, you know what guaranteed human like?
- 26:35Speaker 3: I thought they was so fantastic and I love the job,
- 26:38Speaker 3: and they did and I don't. The guy, as far
- 26:40Speaker 3: as I know, doesn't know what I do for. He
- 26:42Speaker 3: hit my dentist later and my dentist called me up. Go,
- 26:45Speaker 3: you've seen this kid just go around trying to hire him.
- 26:48Speaker 3: I think he's great.
- 26:49Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, you appreciate the hustle.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Yeah, the kid, and he's so play you know what,
- 26:54Speaker 3: I'm gonna get his number, would call him, he has
- 26:55Speaker 3: no it'd be so cool when you hear. Let's give
- 26:59Speaker 3: him some advertise.
- 27:00Speaker 8: Yeah, do you have that? No soliciting signs like on
- 27:03Speaker 8: your phone?
- 27:03Speaker 3: No? No, I hate those.
- 27:05Speaker 11: I was just wondering because my memo was just telling
- 27:07Speaker 11: me the other day. How when she was younger, her
- 27:09Speaker 11: and her siblings used to go door to door to door,
- 27:11Speaker 11: but the house is that they would always hit was
- 27:13Speaker 11: the people that had the no soliciting ones, because she
- 27:15Speaker 11: always felt like those were the people that could never
- 27:17Speaker 11: say no.
- 27:18Speaker 8: So I was just wondering.
- 27:20Speaker 7: It's interesting because you started by saying you hate when.
- 27:23Speaker 3: People do I do, but I also I hate it,
- 27:26Speaker 3: but I also don't want to sign in front of
- 27:29Speaker 3: my house. It's ugly that says no soliciting. Right. It's
- 27:31Speaker 3: like when people put signs in their grass don't let
- 27:33Speaker 3: your dog poop here. I'm like, that's root in your yard,
- 27:36Speaker 3: but that's sign Like I don't want that sign there.
- 27:39Speaker 3: I'd rather hopefully there's a chance that people don't just
- 27:42Speaker 3: know not to do.
- 27:42Speaker 13: Your neighbors the street has signs all over their their
- 27:47Speaker 13: yard and they said they look like almost like little graveyard.
- 27:51Speaker 7: Things, and they say, here lies the last dog that
- 27:53Speaker 7: bleeped in our yard.
- 27:55Speaker 8: Like they used a bad word.
- 27:58Speaker 7: My kids are like, how come he has to signs up?
- 28:01Speaker 3: Is it the one neighbor that you always had Shoah.
- 28:03Speaker 13: No, Actually, we really like this neighbor, so I'm like
- 28:05Speaker 13: he probably just just just wants people to stop pooping.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Dogs to stop pooping. Yeah, I get yeah, I would dogs.
- 28:13Speaker 7: He doesn't want anybody keeping his young.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Okay, I think that's fair. All right, So I'm gonna
- 28:18Speaker 3: get this guy's number and we'll call him on the
- 28:19Speaker 3: air just a little bit. All right, it's John, Jay
- 28:21Speaker 3: and Rich. I want you guys to hear how polite
- 28:26Speaker 3: this guy is Grimy Grills. Hello, this is Nolan. Who
- 28:32Speaker 3: is this Nolan? Yes, hey, I'm looking for ian Ian.
- 28:37Speaker 6: Ian is my business partner. We we own we own
- 28:40Speaker 6: this thing fifty to fifty. He'll be in the office
- 28:42Speaker 6: here in in.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Five ten minutes or so.
- 28:45Speaker 17: But is this something I can help you with?
- 28:47Speaker 15: Oh?
- 28:47Speaker 3: Wait here, I got his cell phone. Is this is
- 28:48Speaker 3: this cell phone?
- 28:49Speaker 6: Uh?
- 28:52Speaker 3: Yeah, that is a great question. All right, I got
- 28:55Speaker 3: stuf when I got I got your foot cell phone first.
- 28:57Speaker 3: I'm gonna call him first. Thanks Nolan, I think you guys,
- 28:59Speaker 3: Thank you you by Okay, he was polite, right, Yeah,
- 29:02Speaker 3: Nolan was great too.
- 29:04Speaker 10: Hi.
- 29:04Speaker 14: If you record your name and reason for calling, I'll
- 29:07Speaker 14: see if this person is available.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Oh I'm calling about Grimy Grills. I was looking for
- 29:15Speaker 3: a beep.
- 29:15Speaker 10: I thought there'd be a beep, Grimy Grills and pick
- 29:18Speaker 10: up Thanks Grammy, Yes.
- 29:28Speaker 3: I'm recording ticket. Hello is this Ian? Okay? So Ian?
- 29:39Speaker 3: I know if you remember me or not, But you
- 29:41Speaker 3: came to my house. By the way, I do a
- 29:43Speaker 3: radio show and you're on the radio. Is that okay?
- 29:45Speaker 1: Right on?
- 29:46Speaker 13: I love that?
- 29:47Speaker 3: Okay, So you came to my house knocking on my door,
- 29:51Speaker 3: and I was very irritated. Do you remember that? Does
- 29:55Speaker 3: that give you a clue of all the because you said, well,
- 29:58Speaker 3: a lot.
- 29:59Speaker 17: Of people get a little irritated when I knock on
- 30:01Speaker 17: their door. But I I think I meant, I think
- 30:06Speaker 17: I know who you are. I'm pretty sure. Remind me
- 30:10Speaker 17: get your name?
- 30:12Speaker 3: Well, last name is Van s. And you came to
- 30:14Speaker 3: my door.
- 30:14Speaker 17: Oh yes, sir, Yes, Oh of course I remember you.
- 30:16Speaker 17: You were you were irritated at all?
- 30:18Speaker 3: Well, you couldn't tell I was very irritated, but you were,
- 30:23Speaker 3: but you came. You were so so you came knocking
- 30:26Speaker 3: on my door and you were pitching your business, Grimy Grills, right,
- 30:30Speaker 3: And I was so impressed. You see how plight he is.
- 30:32Speaker 3: I was so impressed with you and your sales pitch
- 30:35Speaker 3: that I immediately brought my wife out and I said, hey,
- 30:38Speaker 3: let's do this. Let's have this guy clean out girl.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Do you remember that? Yes, Okay, well I do remember it. Well.
- 30:45Speaker 3: I do a radio show. The name of the show
- 30:46Speaker 3: is called John Jay and Rich and and you came
- 30:50Speaker 3: and your people did my grill yesterday. It wasn't you.
- 30:52Speaker 3: It was somebody else that did my grill yesterday. And
- 30:55Speaker 3: I think it looks absolutely fantastic. I think you guys
- 30:58Speaker 3: did a great job. And I know you a new company,
- 31:00Speaker 3: and I thought maybe I could give you a little
- 31:02Speaker 3: bit of advertising, and maybe you wanted to sell yourself
- 31:04Speaker 3: to everybody. And also while my my co workers here
- 31:07Speaker 3: to hear yourself because I was telling them about you
- 31:10Speaker 3: and how polite you were.
- 31:11Speaker 17: Well I really appreciate that. Yeah, that goes such a
- 31:13Speaker 17: long way. Yeah, I could talk on the business.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Right now, right now. I'm talking about right now.
- 31:19Speaker 17: Right on.
- 31:19Speaker 3: So my name is Ian.
- 31:21Speaker 17: I'm twenty one years old. I go to Grand Canyon
- 31:23Speaker 17: University here in Phoenix, and I started a business cleaning
- 31:28Speaker 17: barbecue grills. Kind of a random business, but I heard
- 31:31Speaker 17: about it through a family friend when he was going
- 31:33Speaker 17: to purchase a grill cleaning business. And he was gonna
- 31:36Speaker 17: have me run it for him a few years ago,
- 31:38Speaker 17: but ended up backing out of the sale. So I
- 31:40Speaker 17: heard about the business then and I thought that it
- 31:42Speaker 17: was really awesome opportunity and I love serving people through business,
- 31:46Speaker 17: so I just decided to go ahead and start it myself.
- 31:49Speaker 17: So now we work on mostly built in luxury grills
- 31:54Speaker 17: and we do good work. So it takes about three
- 31:58Speaker 17: hours to get a job done, but we love it
- 32:01Speaker 17: and a lot of people need it done. What a
- 32:02Speaker 17: lot of people don't know is the health risk of
- 32:05Speaker 17: having a dirty grill, and that's mainly what we specialize
- 32:08Speaker 17: in is getting a deep clean on everything underneath the burners,
- 32:11Speaker 17: everything within the grill that really homeowners don't want to touch.
- 32:15Speaker 17: So take this quite a bit. But our websites crimygrills
- 32:18Speaker 17: dot com, and feel free to check out our Instagram.
- 32:21Speaker 17: We've got a lot of content, a lot of homes
- 32:23Speaker 17: that we've cleaned. I believe we're over fifty grills just
- 32:27Speaker 17: over the past second half we've done.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Right, it's good.
- 32:30Speaker 15: You know.
- 32:30Speaker 13: I'm actually on your Instagram right now and there are
- 32:32Speaker 13: some pretty impressive before and after right, Yeah.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Yeah, mine was really and then yesterday the guy that
- 32:37Speaker 3: cleaned our grill, My wife took a bit of his
- 32:39Speaker 3: face is all covered in soot. I bet he's like, Oh.
- 32:43Speaker 2: How often should a person get there grill clean?
- 32:45Speaker 3: Dean?
- 32:46Speaker 17: Yeah, so sometimes it depends on how often you grill.
- 32:50Speaker 17: A lot of people get it done every six months,
- 32:53Speaker 17: some people every year. Some people want it done more
- 32:55Speaker 17: frequently too. Like I have a client who wants to
- 32:58Speaker 17: coming out every four months or so to keep their
- 33:01Speaker 17: grilling good condition. The thing is, these grills are really
- 33:03Speaker 17: nice their investments. A lot of people move into a
- 33:05Speaker 17: nice home and they don't know how much their grill's worth.
- 33:08Speaker 17: Some of these grills are over fifty thousand dollars.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Please are you king?
- 33:12Speaker 9: Hold?
- 33:14Speaker 3: What about just a Weber? Well? Listen, I thought you
- 33:18Speaker 3: did great. I was very impressed with you, and your
- 33:20Speaker 3: parents should be very proud, and GCU should be proud.
- 33:23Speaker 3: So is I know you gave the website? Is there?
- 33:25Speaker 3: Should we give out a phone number or just the
- 33:26Speaker 3: website grimmy grills dot com?
- 33:28Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 33:28Speaker 17: Absolutely, yep. A good phone number for US is four
- 33:33Speaker 17: eight zero two six nine six seven four fives. That's
- 33:38Speaker 17: four eight zero two six nine six seven four five all.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Right man, Well, good luck to you right on.
- 33:45Speaker 17: Well, hey, I really appreciate all of you guys. Yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 17: thank you for taking the time. And yeah, mister van
- 33:50Speaker 17: s that was it was great to meet you. You
- 33:51Speaker 17: were so encouraging to me as an entrepreneur hoping to grow,
- 33:55Speaker 17: and you had some great advice for me as well.
- 33:57Speaker 17: So I appreciate that. Not a lot of people take
- 33:59Speaker 17: the time and I knock on their door, but you did.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Well. They give you advice. I give you. I gave
- 34:04Speaker 3: you advice. I'm glad I did. It was great advice.
- 34:06Speaker 8: What advice did he give you? Ian?
- 34:08Speaker 17: He encouraged me as an entrepreneur. He's like, keep going.
- 34:11Speaker 17: He asked me how how many doors I had knocked
- 34:13Speaker 17: that day, and I think I by the time I
- 34:15Speaker 17: got to your door, I'd knocked about fifty or sixty,
- 34:17Speaker 17: and you were impressed. You told me to keep going,
- 34:20Speaker 17: So I did.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Went a long way, John jam So now hopefully we
- 34:26Speaker 3: can blow up your business right now and you can
- 34:27Speaker 3: remember us, and then you could ignore us five years
- 34:29Speaker 3: from now when you sell the company.
- 34:30Speaker 16: For one hundred Millionan's going to be Ian's going to
- 34:33Speaker 16: be success. When you start your podcast and what happened? Yeah,
- 34:37Speaker 16: being good luck to you man. Congratulations, Hey, thanks so much.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Take care guys, grab me girls like a nice kid, right,
- 34:47Speaker 3: call the guy, Call the guy, and get your girl cleaned.
- 34:49Speaker 3: I hope I didn't ask him this, but I hope
- 34:50Speaker 3: they travel everywhere. Still blow them up from where you live?
- 34:54Speaker 10: Are you kissed?
- 35:04Speaker 3: Morning?
- 35:04Speaker 14: Hey?
- 35:07Speaker 18: So I have a boyfriend who is just amazing at
- 35:11Speaker 18: taking care of people when they're sick. He's just one
- 35:13Speaker 18: of those guys that like jumps into action. It's his
- 35:16Speaker 18: love language. And last week I had a cold, and
- 35:21Speaker 18: I swear he just turned into a full time nurse.
- 35:23Speaker 18: He was like making me soup and bringing me medicine
- 35:27Speaker 18: and checking my temperature, fluffing the pillows, you know, like
- 35:30Speaker 18: the whole thing. And I just kept telling him, like,
- 35:33Speaker 18: you're going to catch this, and he was like, no,
- 35:35Speaker 18: I'll be fine. So anyway, fast forward three days and
- 35:39Speaker 18: now he's the sick one on the couch and he's
- 35:41Speaker 18: looking absolutely miserable, and I feel so bad because I'm
- 35:45Speaker 18: just like nowhere near as nurturing as he is. Like
- 35:48Speaker 18: I was getting homemade soup and round the clock hare
- 35:51Speaker 18: and yesterday I like came in and handed him a gatorade.
- 35:54Speaker 12: It sort of patted him on the shoulder.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:59Speaker 9: Yeah, because when I've been when I've been down and out,
- 36:02Speaker 9: she'll say something like, did you walk down the street
- 36:05Speaker 9: and get the mail? Are you still sick? Like she
- 36:07Speaker 9: has no empathy for the sick people in the house.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Why I haven't walked down the street at the mail,
- 36:12Speaker 3: just random.
- 36:13Speaker 9: Neighbors, neighborhood where they got the gang mailboxes. They're not
- 36:17Speaker 9: in front of our house, and she doesn't want to
- 36:19Speaker 9: go get it. I'm the guy who gets the mak Mike, Yeah,
- 36:23Speaker 9: did you did you not hear me throwing up?
- 36:24Speaker 11: Oh?
- 36:25Speaker 9: Yeah, you're still well? You're done. You're done throwing up?
- 36:27Speaker 2: Can you not?
- 36:29Speaker 3: So your wife has no empathy towards your sickness.
- 36:31Speaker 9: Zeer row. Every question is like she's made the plans,
- 36:35Speaker 9: can can you do?
- 36:36Speaker 13: What?
- 36:36Speaker 9: Are you still sick? But the plans are still happening,
- 36:38Speaker 9: the busyness is still happening.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Well a nice boyfriend, Nicole has.
- 36:41Speaker 13: Though, you know, I would I would really just appreciate that, because,
- 36:45Speaker 13: like rich, I think the biggest fight that Scott and
- 36:47Speaker 13: I ever had as a married couple was after I
- 36:50Speaker 13: had surgery and he like was not taking like nut
- 36:53Speaker 13: like actually getting frustrated the right. Yeah, he was actually
- 36:56Speaker 13: getting frustrated with me that I couldn't like physically perform
- 36:59Speaker 13: like what I normally do around the house.
- 37:01Speaker 7: And I was like, are you kidding me right now?
- 37:04Speaker 7: Like I literally just had surgery.
- 37:06Speaker 2: It's why you should just you should just never get sick.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Good for him.
- 37:11Speaker 8: I don't get sick often on the.
- 37:12Speaker 9: Wood, but like hello, and when you said when you
- 37:16Speaker 9: first called, I have one of those boyfriends that's really
- 37:18Speaker 9: good of taking care of everybody when they're sick.
- 37:20Speaker 2: I don't know one guy like that.
- 37:21Speaker 3: I feel like that I do. I have to.
- 37:26Speaker 18: I don't know like what I did right to get it,
- 37:28Speaker 18: but I, you know, trying to hold on tight.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Like if Blake asked me to do something, I'll do it,
- 37:35Speaker 3: but I'm it's always first cycle.
- 37:38Speaker 7: So annoying.
- 37:39Speaker 8: Why angel Blake is an angel and has to deal with.
- 37:43Speaker 9: You, She's she's suffering. Could you just give me a
- 37:46Speaker 9: glass of water from downstairs.
- 37:48Speaker 3: And you can you come downstairs and drink it so
- 37:52Speaker 3: I don't have to come upstairs? All right, Nicole, thanks
- 37:55Speaker 3: for sharing that storry married the guy?
- 37:59Speaker 15: Thank you do this.
- 38:03Speaker 3: John Jean Rich. We got a couple cool features to
- 38:06Speaker 3: get ahold of us. Obviously the text line and calling us,
- 38:08Speaker 3: but you can also leave us a message on our
- 38:11Speaker 3: drunk Dow hotline, which is six h two eight eight
- 38:14Speaker 3: nineteen thirty three. And another feature is on the free
- 38:17Speaker 3: iHeartRadio app. You just tap the microphone. It's called the
- 38:20Speaker 3: talk back. And then what we do is we gather
- 38:22Speaker 3: some of them and then Nick goes through them and
- 38:23Speaker 3: only patches through the funny ones. We're hearing them all
- 38:25Speaker 3: for the first time ever. What do we got, Rich?
- 38:27Speaker 12: I need something from you, please, please please.
- 38:33Speaker 14: Tell me what Jason Derulo smells like.
- 38:39Speaker 7: You'll remember what he smells like. I don't remember a
- 38:41Speaker 7: distinct smell, though he smelled.
- 38:43Speaker 3: A lot like Jason Derulo and Jesus, like cocoa butter.
- 38:47Speaker 8: Yeah, maybe I don't.
- 38:48Speaker 7: I don't know. I can't pick anything out. He didn't
- 38:51Speaker 7: smell bad, No, he didn't.
- 38:53Speaker 19: Hi, John Jane Rich, Me and my mom have been
- 38:55Speaker 19: listening to you guys since you guys started the show.

- 39:11Speaker 3: they say God blessed you when you sneeze, because your
- 39:14Speaker 3: heart stops for a second than's you do.
- 39:20Speaker 5: Hey, John Jay Mitch, I heard you, any guys side
- 39:23Speaker 5: of that places you banned from. I'm pretty sure I
- 39:26Speaker 5: got banned from the Top Golf. I'm trying to impress
- 39:28Speaker 5: this girl with my swing. I figured that golf and
- 39:31Speaker 5: baseball are different, and I launched the club farther than
- 39:35Speaker 5: in the ball like. It flew two bays over landing
- 39:39Speaker 5: near a kid's birthday party, and the people that worked
- 39:44Speaker 5: at the employees they walked over and they're just they're disappointing.
- 39:47Speaker 5: I mean they're just shaking their heads. And then I'm
- 39:49Speaker 5: pretty sure I can't go back there, so whatever.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Yeah, that's I mean, I thought he was throwing it
- 39:57Speaker 3: out into the top Golf golf for sothing. Well, that
- 39:59Speaker 3: probably has a lot, but this is to make it
- 40:01Speaker 3: flip and go sideways almost. Yeah.
- 40:07Speaker 18: Good morning from Cassa Groan.
- 40:08Speaker 1: This is Melinda.
- 40:10Speaker 13: Hey, John Jay, you had ruined songs for me, or
- 40:14Speaker 13: actually you've made songs funner.
- 40:16Speaker 3: So I'm listening to the Weekend and.
- 40:17Speaker 13: All I can hear him say now is how he's fightless?
- 40:23Speaker 14: Just wanted to share.

- 40:25Speaker 3: Love you bye.

- 41:06Speaker 3: movies and stuff, it was freaking Landman poster. Yeah, and
- 41:09Speaker 3: I was just like, that's so cool. This is the
- 41:16Speaker 3: best theme song in a long time.

- 45:02Speaker 3: You better get that right. You know phoenixorism, Sarah, you
- 45:05Speaker 3: better get that right.
- 45:10Speaker 11: I did know that one.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Hold on, We're gonna set you up. And thanks for listening.
- 45:14Speaker 3: You have a great day. Thanks for repping Phoenix.
- 45:17Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 45:29Speaker 3: So AI is always in the news AI, right, I
- 45:32Speaker 3: mean you saw a couple weeks ago when when they
- 45:35Speaker 3: were all these speakers speaking at college graduations, and when
- 45:37Speaker 3: the speakers bring up AI, they get booed oh almost
- 45:40Speaker 3: every time, and everyone's keeps saying jobs gonna get replaced
- 45:42Speaker 3: by AI. A study evaluated thirty different careers to see
- 45:47Speaker 3: which professions are successfully holding the line against AI automation.
- 45:54Speaker 3: And when I see this, I feel like they're wrong
- 45:56Speaker 3: on most of them because I've heard about AI replacing
- 45:59Speaker 3: certain things. Now I think, because I've talked to my
- 46:02Speaker 3: son about this, that there are jobs that AI cannot,
- 46:05Speaker 3: Like you cannot be an air conditioning in an HVAC person,
- 46:09Speaker 3: that that's not going away.
- 46:11Speaker 2: That's true.
- 46:11Speaker 8: They have a robot that does it.
- 46:13Speaker 3: Yeah, like I cannot in China, I can't see AI
- 46:19Speaker 3: taken over babysitting. I can't see it.
- 46:22Speaker 8: But maybe I'm wrong and we're all going to have
- 46:24Speaker 8: to run this back in ten years.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing on this list. On this list,
- 46:28Speaker 3: it's at number ten on this list is lawyers. This
- 46:31Speaker 3: is lawyers. Is AI proof job? I disagree. I have
- 46:35Speaker 3: a friend of mine who's a lawyer. This tell me
- 46:37Speaker 3: how AI, yes, get rid of a lot of people
- 46:39Speaker 3: because AI, you just go and AI do your stuff.
- 46:41Speaker 9: Right, pair of leegals anymore, you can just have the
- 46:43Speaker 9: AI do it. I've I've had a few paralegals, lawyers,
- 46:46Speaker 9: lawyers too, lawyers.
- 46:47Speaker 7: The only thing is with that is like we are
- 46:49Speaker 7: not there yet with AI.
- 46:51Speaker 13: Where I would trust an AI would It's like a
- 46:53Speaker 13: I still get stuff a lot like a lot of
- 46:55Speaker 13: stuff wrong.
- 46:57Speaker 3: The key to this data is face to face human contact.
- 47:00Speaker 3: The more your job requires you to look at a living,
- 47:03Speaker 3: breathing human in the eye, the harder you are for
- 47:05Speaker 3: a computer program to a place. Social workers is on
- 47:08Speaker 3: that list.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Sales.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Probably two dental hygienists are on this list. Psychologists. See.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I disagree with that too. I go to chat you
- 47:17Speaker 3: pity for all kinds of mental issues police and detectives
- 47:22Speaker 3: that I can't see that. I mean, how are they
- 47:24Speaker 3: going to go Revidence? And how are they going to go?
- 47:26Speaker 7: You watch that Chris prow movie.
- 47:28Speaker 3: No I didn't, I did what happened.
- 47:30Speaker 13: Basically like instead of court and like like detective work.
- 47:35Speaker 7: Really the AI does it?
- 47:39Speaker 3: What do they do? They go to the crime scene
- 47:40Speaker 3: and how can they tell?
- 47:41Speaker 7: Actually, I guess there were still police officers in that movie.
- 47:44Speaker 7: Scratch what I said.
- 47:47Speaker 3: Construction managers are jobs that they say AI is AI proof.
- 47:51Speaker 2: Okay, that works.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Dentists makes sense. Surgeons that part I don't know. I
- 47:57Speaker 3: have a buddy of mine who's a surgeon, and he
- 47:59Speaker 3: was telling me he was operating on someone's appendix and
- 48:01Speaker 3: they were like in another country and he was doing
- 48:03Speaker 3: it by remote. Oh that's cool, right, So I would
- 48:06Speaker 3: think that that the next level is when you needed
- 48:08Speaker 3: they just get a handled.
- 48:09Speaker 9: It might be a lot more surgically accurate if AI's
- 48:12Speaker 9: doing it.
- 48:12Speaker 3: The number one most AI proof job, according to this
- 48:15Speaker 3: survey are physical therapists. Physical therapists. So and I think
- 48:20Speaker 3: that our jobs are going to be replaced probably next Wednesday.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the AI John j Let's coming in, really
- 48:27Speaker 2: good guy.
- 48:27Speaker 3: Yeah. Can say about means anything else going around the room,
- 48:29Speaker 3: anything that you can think of that's not AI replaceable.
- 48:32Speaker 9: Well, I said sales, because I think that's a personal
- 48:34Speaker 9: interaction thing. You know, It's like sure, you could walk
- 48:37Speaker 9: up to you know, whatever in the machine might be like,
- 48:39Speaker 9: here's your thing, but somebody has to talk you into.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Okay, let me back you up on that. I have
- 48:43Speaker 3: this friend of mine, she was we had dinner with
- 48:45Speaker 3: this couple the other night, and they were telling me
- 48:46Speaker 3: about this piece of software they spent costs forty thousand
- 48:49Speaker 3: dollars a year, right, and what this does like anytime
- 48:54Speaker 3: let's say they sell I think they have like copiers
- 48:57Speaker 3: or stuff like that, or it it anytime you google
- 49:02Speaker 3: anything on your phone that says I need it stuff.
- 49:05Speaker 3: This software anywhere in the country tells them that you
- 49:10Speaker 3: Googled looking for it stuff. And then they have a
- 49:13Speaker 3: team of salespeople they get there in they have they
- 49:15Speaker 3: get your phone number, they get everything, and they will
- 49:17Speaker 3: call you and be like, hey, I understand you're looking
- 49:19Speaker 3: for any time. And they're like, oh my god, how'd
- 49:20Speaker 3: you know? Yeah, and they just it's amazing how many
- 49:22Speaker 3: times that's how it works. So she says to me,
- 49:25Speaker 3: she goes, you know how they tell your phone's now listening?
- 49:27Speaker 3: It is listening. So I get a list of this
- 49:29Speaker 3: stuff all the time, and I was like, can that
- 49:31Speaker 3: be used for like a radio show. But then I was like,
- 49:33Speaker 3: how many times people google something about radio? Like you
- 49:35Speaker 3: know what I mean, like like for it stuff you're googling.
- 49:37Speaker 3: But if like you go, like if a pizza restaurant
- 49:40Speaker 3: had this software, which they wouldn't, they wouldn't spend forty
- 49:42Speaker 3: thousand dollars the pizza place and someone's googling the best
- 49:44Speaker 3: pizza in town. They would call them up and be like, Hey,
- 49:46Speaker 3: this is Dave's pizza. Were you looking? But we got
- 49:48Speaker 3: a thirty dollars discount.
- 49:49Speaker 8: For you people.
- 49:51Speaker 3: But it exists, it exists. What else? What else? Truck drivers, Well,
- 49:57Speaker 3: they're already driving without drivers.
- 49:59Speaker 8: True, and I'm talking about like the big Daddy Hall.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Those are coming already on the road.
- 50:05Speaker 8: Yeah, that scares me. They already scare me with a
- 50:07Speaker 8: human driving it. I can only imagine that.
- 50:09Speaker 3: That's why we talked about AI. I want to be
- 50:11Speaker 3: like all the students at the graduation boom boom. Although
- 50:16Speaker 3: it is fun to make dance videos.
- 50:22Speaker 8: John Jayne Rich are live on the Free iHeartRadio app.
- 50:25Speaker 3: Morning britn Hey, how are you? Oh good? How are you?
- 50:28Speaker 3: What's up here on the air?
- 50:30Speaker 20: Well, I'm that's okay, but I am like deep in
- 50:34Speaker 20: the trenches of embarrassment right now. I had to take
- 50:39Speaker 20: my cat to the vet.
- 50:40Speaker 19: Yesterday and I.
- 50:43Speaker 20: Had like been to the gym and then ran the
- 50:46Speaker 20: cat over there. I'm in my sweat hands, my hair
- 50:50Speaker 20: is dirty.
- 50:51Speaker 19: I just looked like sterile. Okay, and the vet tech
- 50:55Speaker 19: walks out and it is my toxic ex boyfriend from college,
- 51:02Speaker 19: and so I immediately start like talking about how life
- 51:06Speaker 19: is going amazing, and then my cat escapes, he gets
- 51:10Speaker 19: out of his carrier, he knocks over a display, and
- 51:13Speaker 19: then he poops on the floor in front of everyone.
- 51:18Speaker 8: That is embarrassing.
- 51:20Speaker 20: So I like couldn't have gone worse. But I will
- 51:23Speaker 20: say to his credit that my ex was like, honestly,
- 51:27Speaker 20: this makes me feel better.
- 51:28Speaker 19: I just moved back in with my mom.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Oh what a nice guy that was.
- 51:34Speaker 19: Yeah, so maybe not so toxic anymore, because all of
- 51:37Speaker 19: a sudden, like neither.
- 51:38Speaker 4: One of us was like winning the breakup.
- 51:40Speaker 9: Well, so was there a little bit of emotions in
- 51:44Speaker 9: the ocean.
- 51:45Speaker 8: I'm like, please tell me you got his number and
- 51:47Speaker 8: you're going on a date?
- 51:49Speaker 13: No oh no, oh yeah, because I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 51:52Speaker 13: we're both we're both a little bit in shambles.
- 51:54Speaker 7: Let's cheer each other up there.
- 51:56Speaker 3: But it's like he like try to make her feel better. Yeah,
- 52:00Speaker 3: so why was it so toxic in college? What happened?
- 52:02Speaker 3: And plus people change after college? But what what what
- 52:05Speaker 3: made him such a toxic boyfriend?
- 52:07Speaker 20: I think it was just a bad combo of like
- 52:09Speaker 20: he wanted me to be available to him all the time,
- 52:12Speaker 20: but he was also very busy with like being a
- 52:15Speaker 20: dumb college boy and like, yeah, of course the video
- 52:18Speaker 20: came to his bros.
- 52:19Speaker 19: But well he matured, be like around for everything.
- 52:23Speaker 3: I remember I was dating this girl when I was
- 52:25Speaker 3: twenty one and she was twenty three, and I lied
- 52:28Speaker 3: and told her I was twenty three. And then when
- 52:30Speaker 3: she when I finally confessed told her that I was
- 52:31Speaker 3: not twenty three, she said, you're not to stand when
- 52:35Speaker 3: you're twenty three, you're totally different than when you're twenty one.
- 52:37Speaker 3: You're totally different mindset. I was like whatever, and she
- 52:40Speaker 3: was right. He is right. She was right. So it's like, yeah,
- 52:42Speaker 3: so like now like he was the dumb college boy
- 52:45Speaker 3: and now he's a vetech. He's got his act together
- 52:47Speaker 3: and he was That was really nice of him to
- 52:50Speaker 3: make you feel better by saying, hey, don't worry about it,
- 52:51Speaker 3: and me doing my mom you.
- 52:53Speaker 20: Know, yeah, I mean maybe he's matured.
- 52:56Speaker 19: My cattle has to go back.
- 52:57Speaker 18: We'll see.
- 52:58Speaker 3: Okay, I understand the whole thing you're talking about though,
- 53:02Speaker 3: because you you were feeling like kind of crummy right looking.
- 53:05Speaker 3: You said you had worked out, your hair, wasn't done whatever. Right,
- 53:08Speaker 3: So we do here on the show. Every Sunday we
- 53:11Speaker 3: drop a couple's podcast. Each one of us does our
- 53:14Speaker 3: own with our significant other, right, and I haven't done
- 53:16Speaker 3: one in a while, and mine's coming up, and I
- 53:18Speaker 3: usually take advantage of that time is when I'm filming
- 53:21Speaker 3: the highly successful John J. Van Ast podcast on video,
- 53:25Speaker 3: I will usually bring my wife and then when we're
- 53:27Speaker 3: done with shooting a when I'm done doing the interview,
- 53:29Speaker 3: I'll have Blake chump on and her and I will
- 53:30Speaker 3: do our own. So yesterday I was doing the interview
- 53:34Speaker 3: and I said, I go uh, I go oh man,
- 53:37Speaker 3: the our couple's podcast is due in two weeks. I said,
- 53:40Speaker 3: why do we do it right now? And she's like
- 53:43Speaker 3: in leggings and whatever, and had worked out, had done it,
- 53:46Speaker 3: and earlier I was running late to the podcast. I
- 53:49Speaker 3: like to be early to a podcasts and she's like, yay,
- 53:51Speaker 3: I'm gonna jump in a shower real quick, and I
- 53:52Speaker 3: was like, now I don't have time for that. We
- 53:54Speaker 3: got to go so anyway, so it is time to
- 53:59Speaker 3: like to get on the I go listen to a
- 54:00Speaker 3: couple of podcasts and she's like absolutely not. Yeah, I
- 54:04Speaker 3: am not doing the couple's podcasts. It will not do
- 54:06Speaker 3: for two weeks. So I can understand how you were feeling, Brent.
- 54:09Speaker 3: But you know, at least you weren't on video.
- 54:11Speaker 20: Oh yeah, exactly, it was.
- 54:13Speaker 14: It was an audio only kind of day.
- 54:21Speaker 3: I have a great day, Brent. Thanks for calling in.
- 54:23Speaker 3: Thanks John Dane Rich. Every once in a while we
- 54:29Speaker 3: take call some people that see Kyle out in the wild, right,
- 54:34Speaker 3: it's pretty cool. It's usually shopping for a bargain somewhere. Yeah, people,
- 54:38Speaker 3: and sometimes people send the pictures of Kyle out in
- 54:40Speaker 3: the wild. But Peyton, what was your experience?
- 54:42Speaker 8: So I got a text message from my friend.
- 54:44Speaker 11: It was right around like the afternoon time, and she goes,
- 54:47Speaker 11: I just saw Rich walking out of the gym, and
- 54:50Speaker 11: she had told me that she's seen you a couple
- 54:52Speaker 11: of times. And I always ask her, so, like, what
- 54:54Speaker 11: is Rich doing?
- 54:55Speaker 8: Is he on the treadmill? She's like, no, he's always
- 54:57Speaker 8: walking the room.
- 54:58Speaker 9: She's never sa well, I do get, I get, I
- 55:07Speaker 9: get stopped, and I talk to people. I talk to people.
- 55:10Speaker 2: That's what I'm about, That's what I'm worried about.
- 55:15Speaker 9: So for the longest time, when I would go to
- 55:17Speaker 9: the gym, I would go to my friend's gym and
- 55:19Speaker 9: at noon there's nobody in this little gym but me
- 55:22Speaker 9: and him.
- 55:23Speaker 2: But he closed his gym, he sold it. So I
- 55:25Speaker 2: joined Jim.
- 55:26Speaker 9: And when I say hello to listeners, I feel like, well,
- 55:28Speaker 9: now the pressure is on to do more. Because once
- 55:32Speaker 9: you say hello and you're on your way and you
- 55:34Speaker 9: put in your little air pods and you go, it's like, well,
- 55:36Speaker 9: I better, I better do five more of whatever it
- 55:38Speaker 9: is that I'm doing. So people don't think you're messing herround.
- 55:41Speaker 9: But apparently she just seen me walking around, Yeah.
- 55:44Speaker 11: Walking rod She's like, he just looks around.
- 55:52Speaker 2: How you doing what you got there? Twenty minutes on
- 55:54Speaker 2: the trend.
- 55:57Speaker 9: It is totally I totally for got the big gym experience,
- 56:02Speaker 9: like when you walk into a massive place. So I
- 56:04Speaker 9: would say over a Memorial Day weekend. Normally when I go,
- 56:07Speaker 9: there's not a ton of people there. But when I
- 56:09Speaker 9: went over a Memorial Day weekend, it was Monday morning
- 56:12Speaker 9: at about nine o'clock. I have never seen any place
- 56:15Speaker 9: so crowded. There must that they must have been max capacity.
- 56:19Speaker 9: You couldn't park in the gym parking lot. You had
- 56:21Speaker 9: to park on the street. In the gym, every.
- 56:24Speaker 2: Treadmill was full.
- 56:25Speaker 9: Every little place that you could like, you know, lift
- 56:28Speaker 9: anything was full. So I did walk around for a
- 56:30Speaker 9: while and did not really do a whole lot of
- 56:32Speaker 9: that day.
- 56:33Speaker 3: You know, speaking of the gym. So I have my
- 56:35Speaker 3: morning routine that I have, and I have a like
- 56:38Speaker 3: kind of an exercise room in my house, and I
- 56:40Speaker 3: have my morning routine and I do everyone before I
- 56:42Speaker 3: come in here. And on the weekends, I've expanded that
- 56:45Speaker 3: routine a little bit, so I added two more exercises
- 56:49Speaker 3: to my morning routine. And my wife, she likes to
- 56:52Speaker 3: meet me in the hot tub in the morning on
- 56:54Speaker 3: the weekends, but she does her routine, which is meditation
- 56:57Speaker 3: and all this stuff. Right, So when I got up
- 56:59Speaker 3: way before she and I went to the gym, and
- 57:01Speaker 3: I was texting her, Hey, I'm on the treadmill. Hey,
- 57:03Speaker 3: I'm doing this. Then I was like, I was like,
- 57:06Speaker 3: I wanted to write down, I've added two more exercises
- 57:09Speaker 3: to my routine, so I'm going to be a little
- 57:10Speaker 3: a little bit later. And I could not spell exercise
- 57:13Speaker 3: to save my life. And it wouldn't even auto correct
- 57:16Speaker 3: set auto correct, doesn't even know what I'm doing. So
- 57:20Speaker 3: I had to come up with another word for exercise.
- 57:22Speaker 3: So I wrote down, I come up with two more movements,
- 57:24Speaker 3: so I'm going to be doing today movement and I'm
- 57:26Speaker 3: reading movements. I'm like, it's so stupid. And I do
- 57:30Speaker 3: two more workouts. There's not two more workouts. And I
- 57:32Speaker 3: could not spell exercise. It is such a hard word
- 57:35Speaker 3: to spell.
- 57:36Speaker 9: Sometimes I think auto correct, like, just Jack's with you.
- 57:38Speaker 9: It's like, you know what I'm trying to say to
- 57:41Speaker 9: be able to get a little closer than nothing.
- 57:43Speaker 3: Yeah, what about what you said you worked out with
- 57:44Speaker 3: some pro athlete or something.
- 57:46Speaker 9: Yeah, my buddy Jamie, who was a baseball player in college,
- 57:49Speaker 9: played a little bit in the MLB, and so we
- 57:52Speaker 9: agreed to meet a few times a week and work
- 57:53Speaker 9: out together at this gym.
- 57:55Speaker 2: At this gym, yeah, it was so public.
- 57:56Speaker 3: You're working out with a pro with pro athlete.
- 58:00Speaker 9: And he's he's like, you know, I want to lose
- 58:02Speaker 9: twenty pounds. He's like, I need to lose another four pounds. Like, well,
- 58:05Speaker 9: you could do that, you know, you could just get
- 58:07Speaker 9: you know, like diarrhea. You'd be fun. He's running me
- 58:12Speaker 9: through his routine and it's very it hurts.
- 58:16Speaker 2: It hurts a lot. Like the next.
- 58:18Speaker 9: Day and I call him like, hey, to you are
- 58:20Speaker 9: your legs totally totally sor I know He's like no,
- 58:22Speaker 9: I'm good, Like I can't walk, but.
- 58:26Speaker 8: Okay, oh man.
- 58:29Speaker 9: I always think he's mad at me because they'll like
- 58:30Speaker 9: finish up before I do with stuff.
- 58:32Speaker 2: I think he's mad.
- 58:33Speaker 3: And then what's he just go?
- 58:35Speaker 9: He doesn't for he's he's very He's a fun guy
- 58:39Speaker 9: until you go work out and then he's dead serious.
- 58:41Speaker 9: I mean there's I couldn't get a smile out of him,
- 58:44Speaker 9: and I was I was bringing my best gym material tool.
- 58:47Speaker 9: I was getting nothing out of this guy. But anyway,
- 58:49Speaker 9: we're going again. I think today today a little bit later,
- 58:52Speaker 9: so they see you at the gym and people say
- 58:54Speaker 9: hi to you. You're cool talking to people of course,
- 58:56Speaker 9: but you don't door got in.
- 58:57Speaker 2: Well, I try to.
- 59:00Speaker 9: I try to do something that's not typical of me,
- 59:02Speaker 9: is I try to have a friendly conversation in a
- 59:04Speaker 9: hurry and then walk off and go.
- 59:06Speaker 3: If you're talking to people, they don't even know who
- 59:07Speaker 3: you are till I stopped. I was at the gym
- 59:10Speaker 3: one time. I was at the gym, and I was
- 59:13Speaker 3: and I went to the gym just to steam and sauna.
- 59:15Speaker 3: I went to that phase. D you remember that? Yeah,
- 59:18Speaker 3: so I remember. I get to the gym, I take
- 59:20Speaker 3: off my clothes. I got a towel, and you know
- 59:21Speaker 3: how we have a towel on you. You have to adjustice.
- 59:23Speaker 3: Sometimes you put your naked tower on your waist and
- 59:25Speaker 3: then it's over here and I go, I got to
- 59:27Speaker 3: open it up like this to justice.
- 59:28Speaker 9: Yeah, you you don't want to. You don't want to
- 59:30Speaker 9: slip to be right in the front.
- 59:32Speaker 3: I'm walking. I got out of the out of the
- 59:33Speaker 3: steam room, the cold plunch, and I'm walking with the
- 59:35Speaker 3: tower on my waist. I had to adjustice. I open
- 59:37Speaker 3: it up and I'm naked and then there's my junk
- 59:39Speaker 3: and everything, and I see a guy right in front
- 59:42Speaker 3: of me. So it almost looks like I flashed him, right,
- 59:45Speaker 3: But I was just turning my towel, adjusting my towel.
- 59:47Speaker 3: Cut to later our friend Jamie Comstock, that was her brother.
- 59:52Speaker 3: My brother saw you at the gym getting out of
- 59:54Speaker 3: the steam room. I'm like, oh god, he literally was
- 59:59Speaker 3: I junk eyes to junk jump. No, she was heeded.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: He saw you walk in the gym and then you
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: saw you steam and leave. Did you work out?
- 1:00:08Speaker 15: Like?
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: Didn't work out?
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: See what he's got these reports.
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: Kay's should say I was native.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: It's terrible, terrible anyway, anyway, if you ever see Rich
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: work it out, let us know.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: God, please tell me. Good morning, start your day with
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich. I wake up with my favorite artist.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: Hey, this is Sabrina Carpenter. What's up, guys.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: This is post below.
- 1:00:30Speaker 8: It's Benson Boone and you're waking up with John Jay
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: and Rich.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: Kyle. What are three things we need to know today?
- 1:00:34Speaker 13: The search for Savannah Guthrie's missing mom, Nancy, has taken
- 1:00:37Speaker 13: a dramatic turn after an anonymous tip claimed her remains
- 1:00:40Speaker 13: were across the border in Mexico. So a volunteer search
- 1:00:43Speaker 13: group investigated the area actually found dozens of unmarked graves,
- 1:00:47Speaker 13: but no sign of nancy and authority to say they're
- 1:00:49Speaker 13: still following every possible lead. Her disappearance has now stretched
- 1:00:53Speaker 13: in two months, and I can't imagine the roller coaster
- 1:00:55Speaker 13: of emotions her family just went through.
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: Yet again.
- 1:00:58Speaker 13: Your next Walmart order may not come in a truck.
- 1:01:00Speaker 13: It may actually drop out of the sky. So Walmart
- 1:01:03Speaker 13: says they're expanding their drone delivery program right here to Phoenix,
- 1:01:06Speaker 13: meaning one day, your grocery snacks and those random I
- 1:01:09Speaker 13: forgot this items will be flying straight to your doorstep.
- 1:01:12Speaker 13: The drums can zip around sixty miles an hour and
- 1:01:14Speaker 13: drop orders in minutes. You don't need to start looking
- 1:01:17Speaker 13: up just yet. Technically, they're not launching citywide overnights. It's
- 1:01:20Speaker 13: going to depend on participating Walmart's. The FDA just approved
- 1:01:24Speaker 13: the first new sunscreen ingredient in twenty five years, and
- 1:01:27Speaker 13: I guess it's one that other countries have been using
- 1:01:30Speaker 13: for years. Bemo Trizenol is actually considered a more modern
- 1:01:34Speaker 13: UV filter because it protects against UVA and UVB rays
- 1:01:37Speaker 13: while staying more stable in the sun. Now for US,
- 1:01:40Speaker 13: that could mean stronger, longer lasting protection from the sun
- 1:01:43Speaker 13: that feels like it is attacking you daily. It is
- 1:01:45Speaker 13: hot out there, and that's three things you need to know.
