- 0:07[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to the Dog's Podcast with your hosts, Lake Renaker, Justin Charles, and Josh All.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, what's up, Browns fans?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back to another episode of the Dodge Podcast.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: Josh, all your host here toward the end of the week.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: I hope everything's going well for you guys out there.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's getting closer to the weekend and we are within.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: Three weeks from today.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be the NFL draft.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: We'll finally know who the Browns are going to bring on to this team.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: The new players, the new rookies for 20-26.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's getting very exciting.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a long journey here through the pre-draft process and the offseason a lot of speculation.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: I know the draft talk might be getting a little tired, a little overdone, but guys, we are almost to the finish line.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, we are doing live stream coverage of the first round on Thursday, April, 23rd again, three weeks from tonight kicks off the live stream 745 PM on YouTube.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_02]: We'll also be streaming on Facebook and X as well for you guys that are on those platforms.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: Make sure you jump into the chat.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: But the primary chat that we're going to be following along with will be the one on YouTube.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: So you guys definitely want to check it out over there.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll be with you guys in the in the beginning to kick it all off.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: We will cover pick six or whatever pick we end up making when we obviously we're going to trade back.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: I
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: I would be surprised at this point if we don't trade back.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: That just seems to be what the Browns are putting out there.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: And they don't seem very infatuated with that number six pick.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: Now this is also a team, a front office that thinks.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: whether sometimes it works or doesn't that they are smarter than everybody else.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know last year it was a lot of, let's put out all this Travis Hunter buzz.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: We love Travis Hunter.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: He's the guy.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's a unicorn.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: He can play both positions this, that and the other.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: And in the end, they were really just doing it to try to get as much draft capital compensation out of the Jaguars as possible.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: So that was a lot of misleading stuff.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe the Browns put in all this trade stuff out there.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_02]: They want to trade the pick because the thing is when you're putting it out there.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: that you want to trade the pick, that you don't lay injury, you know, if we pick it six is kind of the way he labeled it during the owner's meeting, if we pick it six, we might not be picking it six.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: Either they've already got some sort of trade, verbiage in place with a team or a couple deals tentatively on the table that just need executed once we get to the draft.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: It could be possible again.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: This is just speculation that he's putting that out there.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: So teams think that Cleveland's not really locked in, anybody at six and lo and behold, we really are.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: And we're just hoping that I don't know some teams behind us get a little lack of days ago.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe there's a player.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: a team or two behind us would be considering trading up ahead of us for if they thought we were sticking and picking at six and taking somebody specific.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see, I have no idea what they're doing.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_02]: I don't believe Jack's squad out of this organization, you know, the front office, the owner, anything they really say is,
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: it's whatever.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: Follow their actions.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: Don't necessarily follow their words.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: I guess is the best way to do it.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: And as always, just follow the money when that concept applies as well.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_02]: So today I got I got some voicemails I want to get to and we'll dive into your thoughts, your opinions, your questions and all that.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_02]: And then we've got a dog-packed discord live at the so-to-sced Jordan Art.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_02]: private discord tomorrow night at eight o'clock p.m.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: So Friday this week 8 p.m. for everybody that is a member of the dog pack.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: And if you want to join that, if you want to be part of our discord community, head to join the dogs.com.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: Become an official dog pack member.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: It helps support the show financially.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: We really appreciate everybody who's in there.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: Help us continue to grow and produce
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: the best browns content that we can possibly do for you guys.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: You get to interact with us, everybody else in the community, and you get to be part of the dog back discord lives, which the next one again will be tomorrow night at 8pm.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: So jump in there, get on the show, talk to us, have some fun.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's a great place.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: Join the dogs.com.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: So today's first voice mail, this one is coming in from Connor.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_05]: What's up boys?
- 4:24[SPEAKER_05]: I was just calling.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_05]: I had a question on not about pick six, but a pick 24.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_05]: Now if we take Carnell Tate at six, this question's kind of irrelevant, but if we go the offensive tackle route at six, I was just wondering what prospect you guys
- 4:39[SPEAKER_05]: thought would be better if it was a Denzel Boston or KC concept GM.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_05]: I'm really high on Boston.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_05]: I mean he's a red zone threat.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_05]: He's 64 at 11 touchdowns last year.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_05]: So obviously I'm leaning higher towards him but I just wanted your guys to stop some opinion on if that's the route we went.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_05]: Go dogs.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Connor, thanks for the voicemail, great to hear from you.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: Between Denzel, Boston, and Casey conception, if those were the two choices, the Browns were deciding between at Pick 24, which receiver would I prefer?
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: I would definitely prefer Casey conception over Denzel Boston at 24, okay?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: So, these two prospects are definitely in that, that 20 range, the late first, maybe they could be an early second round pick range for the wider severs in this class.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: They're kind of in that group with Omar Cooper Jr., and like I said, Denzel Casey, and then I mean Jordan Tyson may even fall through the first round pending medicals and what teams think about his injury history.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to have a couple other guys that are going to be in the conversation in that early second round range as well.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Bell, another, I like Chris Bell to an extent, but again guys.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm very, leary of these injuries.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: I really am because you see guys come back from injury and they can play like they did before the injury.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: That happens all the time, but it also happens where they don't, where post injury, they're just not the same player.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: And if Chris Bell is any less the player he was before the injury when he comes back, I don't think he's worth that second round pictures because his, there's just red flags in his profile,
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: To get off of the Chris Bell to come back to your question Connor, I get distracted so easily guys, but you know that you guys have been following long enough, you know I can go on a tangent.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: Denzel boss and Casey conception give me conception and it really comes down to one.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_02]: his scheme versatility.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: Now this is not in like an order of what makes him my preference, but I'm just going through my list there.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: Schemeversal, he ran 35% of his routes out of the slot last year, 65 out wide, you can line them up all over the field.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: He dominates in yards after the catch had 440 and a 7.2 yards after catch per reception compared to Denzel Boston's 4.9.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: Their yards per route run is essentially the same 2.46 for Concepts-Yone 2.44 is Denzel, Boston.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_02]: Now, obviously Boston has the deeper A-Dot average depth of target down the field at 14.4.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_02]: But Concepts-Yone is at 12.3, not that far below him.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: So for a scheme versatile player who specializes in yards after the catch,
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: he gets targeted down the field.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: So he's really a versatile player.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_02]: Now the drops issue is what has been the bugaboo about conception, but a lot of the analysts that I listen to and I read, they're not concerned about the drops because they think that is something that can really easily be cleaned up in his game.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: Both these guys are good contested catch players,
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: So, that's good to see, and again, Miss Tackle's forced 14 for Concepción, just 7 for Boston.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: So Concepción is a guy that can win down the field if you need him to, but he wins in other areas of the field as well.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: He dominates over the intermediate area of the field.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: He dominates zone coverage, which again, the NFL, I think, on averages around like 70% defenses run zone coverage that amount of the time.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: You need a guy that can just slay the intermediate area, beat up on zone coverage, find the soft areas, come back to the ball for your quarterback and make plays after the catch for me.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's Casey conception over Denzel Boston, easily in my opinion.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: At Pick 24, if those are the options, but thank you for the question Connor, really appreciate it, and now we'll move on to the next one, which is just in, of course, we can never do a
- 8:54[SPEAKER_06]: What's up dog podcast, I'll respond to your question from my employees from our regarding fanow.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_06]: If you look at film, you can see he's played the left side there, so actually has experience and he's very athletic and great with past walking, which we need past protection.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_06]: He actually allows zero sex as final season.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_06]: He played left tackle as fresh from here at Utah, I believe.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you could put Zion on the left side, possibly, but I think fanow is a better fit than you're thinking, you know, we just need a
- 9:22[SPEAKER_06]: Um, McGoy was a great player, but he's only on the right side, even in college, really, not really an experience at the left side, and if I'm picking between McGoy or Fano, I'm taking the highly athletic guy that has actually played left side and is enthusiastic about it.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_06]: I would also take him at six because I think that there's a higher chance that Cooper Jr is available at 24 than Fano is actually, I think the lines might go for Fano, over-free-ling.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_06]: Um, but I don't know what seems like we might be gearing towards something in the next draft, but that's my thoughts about, you know, this year.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_06]: Go Browns.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_06]: Ooh.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Alright Justin, thank you again as always for your voice mail.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: Look, I-
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said in the last episode, I'm not saying that I don't like Spencer Fano.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think that he's going to be a good lineman in the NFL.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just not a hundred percent convinced it's going to be a tackle.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: You can draft him, you can put him at the left tackle spot, and we'll see what happens.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, the Patriots took Will Campbell last year at four overall.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_02]: I believe it was expecting him to be either left tackle.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he was touted.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_02]: He was the top tackle in the class, all this stuff.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: And when it came down to crunch in the playoffs against the best edge rusher, is against the best talent, the defensive schemes, those short arms and lack of length despite his athleticism really showed up.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's the concern with Spencer Fano.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: I just, oh, believe he's going to end up playing guard at the NFL level.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_02]: Does it mean he will?
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: Does it mean I'm right?
- 10:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's just my belief.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: And I just, I really am not changed.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: I can't really just change my mind on that as I see him.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: But again, I do think he's a good lineman.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I agree with you on glad you put that in as the tail end your voicemail.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not taking any linemen in this class over Carnell Tate except for Francis Malino.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: I know you said in your voice mail that you'd rather have the athletic guy who's played left tackle before in college over Malino, but for me with pick six and if you
- 11:32[SPEAKER_02]: want to talk about best player available, positional value, that kind of stuff.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a strict and hard and fast rule, but they need to be factored in.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: And to me, Francis Maui know a will be a, well, I'm trying to figure out how to phrase this.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think his ceiling is perennial probal type of player.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he gets an all pro or two over his career if things really hit, if he really reaches his ceiling.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: He's got that in him.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I do believe it will be at right tackle.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know about making the switch to left or not saying he can't.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_02]: But his body type is play style.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: He's not the most athletic, the longest, most lengthy, lean, fast kind of tackle.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know if moving him, I see people all the time, well, put your draft friends as my no one put him on the left side.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's a different position.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you don't just look at right tackle and left tackle as well, they're the same thing, just on different sides of the ball.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: you do need a different type of athlete at the left tackle spot than what you do at the right tackle spot.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I just don't know if Maui know it is that.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think he is a right tackle.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's where he'll play in the NFL.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I think he'll do a very good job.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to be a very good tackle.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: I just would not take anybody else on the line over Cardinal tape.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm with you on that one, Justin.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think that it, again,
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: If the Browns pick it six, we'll see what they do in Mary K. Cavitt today said, she would take Tyson's in at six.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: So that kind of goes against, hey, how about we get some lineman, how about we get some receivers, because we need them all for this offense, and, and, uh,
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: You want to take another quarterback, a developmental quarterback, which apparently a lot of these people were against taking developmental quarterbacks last year in the draft, but now all of a sudden this year they want to take one with pick six, I don't know, whatever.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: You guys let me know in the comments what you think about that whole situation as well, but Justin actually, I think I got another voicemail from you.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll be here and again from you here in just a few minutes.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: This episode is sponsored by Surfshark VPN.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_02]: Brownsvans, do you ever feel like the internet is watching your every move?
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's because it is.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: Your browser is able to watch and store your digital activity, but you can put an end to that using today's sponsor Surfshark VPN.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: A VPN is a virtual private network which allows you to mask your real IP address, essentially meaning that your online activity is no longer being tracked.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: You ever wonder just how much of your personal information is floating around online, every click, every scroll, every late night, mock draft that you do, all your data can be logged, tracked, and sold.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: With Surfshark, all that data stays with you.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: When I'm connected Surfshark encrypts everything I do online, so even my internet provider or nosey advertisers, they can't see what I'm doing, and Surfshark doesn't keep logs, like at all, that means even if someone wanted to see what I've been up to online, there's literally nothing to show them.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: Now, some VPNs do keep records of your activity, which kind of defeats the point of privacy, right?
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: Surfshark strict no-logs policy means they don't monitor track or store any of your browsing data.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: They also have an anti-virus add-on, we tend to think viruses are just a laptop problem, but they can hit your phone's tablets really anything electronic.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's why Surfshark antivirus is such a smart add-on.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's built right into the app, and it runs quietly in the background protecting against malware, trojans, and all that other nasty stuff that can sneak in from downloads or dodgy sites.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: So start protecting your online identity today with Surfshark.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: You can try it right now with a risk-free 30-day money back guarantee, just go to surfshark.com-slashdogs DAWGS or use code dogs at checkout to get four extra months of Surfshark VPN.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: The next voice mail on the slate today, our man, Brad Moneymaker.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_04]: Hi guys, it's Bryan Moneymaker.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, somebody take the mic away from Genie Hazeln, please.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_04]: And stop looking and make accusations against us.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_04]: For the Sean Watson, please, please, please.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_04]: Anyways, the draft is coming up at on board without Josh's talking.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm saying that we probably should draft
- 15:44[SPEAKER_04]: Feelin' that.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I happen, I don't know.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_04]: We'll see what Enderberry does for us in that.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_04]: How much we might crash out there in the draft?
- 15:54[SPEAKER_04]: We'll see, but I look forward to seeing how draft goes and I'm gonna be there in Pittsburgh.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_04]: Be there with a couple of guys from the dogs back.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_04]: And we'll see how it goes.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_04]: Give me a good time.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_04]: Definitely gonna have to drink up.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_04]: So let's go round before.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Brad, yeah, it was not thrilled here in the Jimmy Haslam comments over the weekend or earlier this week about the Sean Watson and
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I need to go look at the actual transcript, maybe of what he said, because I saw some things where Jimmy has them, did he actually say that Descheon Watson could be a home run or was that Mary Kays interpretation of his comments?
- 16:38[SPEAKER_02]: Because I kind of saw both things floating around the social media either way.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: whether he explicitly said to Sean Watson could turn into or come from a swing and a miss last year at the owner's meeting to suddenly being a home run this year that was what was at least whether it was said it was at least implied and it's crazy and I posted this on social media let me know what you guys think in the comments.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: How did the Sean Watson go from being a swing and a miss to a home run without playing any football in between?
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: The dude has not stepped foot on a football field in a game taking a single snap in that time period between being a swing and a miss and being a home run now.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: The last time we saw him on the field, it was terrible.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: It was some of the worst quarter by play you're ever going to watch.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: Remember 2024?
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: Remember the home opener against the cowboys?
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my lord, you remember those games?
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: It was terrible.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_02]: That that's 2024.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: See, oh my gosh, what a freaking disappointment.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_02]: And now all of a sudden, you know, after rupturing as a kill is twice, getting it repaired twice,
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: Now he's suddenly gonna be a home run, no.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: This is Shidorah Sanders team.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: This is Shidorah Sanders' opportunity unless the Browns do something crazy and in my opinion kind of stupid, and use like the six-lover all-pick on Ty Simpson.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: You need too many things on offense to take a swing like that, to use that sort of a value pick.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: The value, I mean, it's a top six pick and then if they're, they're,
- 18:16[SPEAKER_02]: what 300 or so picks going to be made to 100 or whatever it is, and you get to make the sixth one.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: You basically have your picker, the freaking litter of all the prospects minus four guys because you know Fernando Mendoza won't be there.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just there's four guys that are going to go before you.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: And then then it's all it's open table for you and you want to take a developmental quarterback who's had a handful of good starts and college.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, crazy pills out there right now, it seems like, but Brad, thank you on Guadrealm board with the two receivers in the first round thing.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: I would do it.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think the value is there with these guys.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: Again, if you can tell me the Browns come away with Carnell Tate and KC Concepción, that's a wide receiver core.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: I can get excited about watching.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: on Sundays.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Jerry Judy can be your wide receiver three, and he can kind of switch in and out with these other two, the thing is now you have three or see where to kind of play all over the field, especially swapping in.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: Concepts your own inside outside Judy goes inside and outside taste primarily on the outside, but he can go on the inside play the intermediate area too.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: And then, you know, you just sprinkle in, well, not just sprinkle in, but then you infuse that rotation with Harold van and junior, and then you rotate behind those past catchers.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: Your Isaiah bond may be said or tell them and gets on the field if he's not can custer, has a hamstring or can't catch whatever his deal is.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'm looking a little more forward to watching these games with that skill position unit.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: I saw the clip from the car brothers, Derek Carr and his brother David, were they have a podcast, and I think they were going through and making picks doing their kind of mock draft simulation for the first round and they got to the Browns and said, they both agreed pretty vehemently.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_02]: Carr now tate, this team, I mean, Derek Carr, this team needs a wide receiver.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we do if Andrew Barry passes on carnal tape at number six by either picking someone else or trading the pick and we end up not getting take.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: Now, if he trades back to say nine with the chiefs for some reason, maybe Jeremiah love does not go to Tennessee and he's on the board and the chiefs are like, wow, we can still get him, but we got to get ahead of Washington.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: And you can go to nine with the chiefs.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: They come up and take love.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: Then you just got to pray to the good Lord above that the commanders and the saints do not take car and LTAT if you go back to nine.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_02]: Because if you go to nine or any further, you're basically taking yourself out of car and LTAT.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: because he will go to Washington, he will go to New Orleans if Jeremiah loves already gone.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's the way I see it playing out.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_02]: Those two teams have been connected to Tate.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: I think they could really use another wide receiver on those rosters.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: Funny enough, it would be the second Ohio State guy to be their top receiver on both with Terry McLean being in Washington and Chris Alava in New Orleans.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: Take the Frick and Ohio State receiver, Andrew Barry, don't outsmart yourself and be stupid about this.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: which I am worried about.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: As you guys know, but Brad, thank you for that voicemail.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you as always.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: Let's kick it over here.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a voicemail from fake burns.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: Or as he likes to be called by his friends and family is God given name as Zach.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: What is up?
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: It is Zach A. K. A.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: Fake Burns.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to start this message off by saying congratulations to Blake on the birth of his second daughter.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: Josh said it on recently on one of the episode he came out with.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: So if Blake doesn't happen to be on the episode that skits play it on, just pass my congratulations over to him.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe get her interested in a different NFL franchise, so she doesn't have to worry about years of misery with this one, but no seriously.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: Congratulations to Blake, and I kind of want to change the topic on this message.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: I know we've been talking a lot about the draft and free agency recently, but I kind of want to talk about the new stadium.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I kind of want to know what everyone's thoughts are on that, not just the host of the show, but um, just kind of everyone in the, in the dog pound, I personally am a big fan of it.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really excited for it.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: I like how it's like supposed to be like a city kind of get a cool hotel room, stay the night there beforehand, get up early, go to the game, pre game a little bit with a tailgate with all the other fans.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of money for Cleveland because it will be in a dome.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: You can host a lot more events with that.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel like the cold games will just be more bearable and fun to watch.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: I hate the saying that the lake and the cold front is our 12th man on the field because it has not helped us at all like a lot of this roster it needs to be cut if that's the case because I think we've had what two winning seasons last 20 years so whereas that 12th man been non-existent in my opinion but just want to know everyone else's thoughts go
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: the the the weather in Cleveland must have a seriously big dead cap hit that we just keep spreading and pushing kicking the can down the road because we just cannot cut that MFR from this roster.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: It has not helped us.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_02]: One bit there is no home field advantage with the weather and I owe it any time people will this is football weather in Cleveland.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: This is the way it's supposed to be played.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: It gives us an advantage against those teams from the south
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: Did the Miami Dolphins not come up here on a frigid December day and beat us?
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: What happened back in 2022?
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: Did the New Orleans Saints not come to Cleveland on the second coldest game and Cleveland Browns franchise history?
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: It was like four degrees negative.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: God knows what?
- 23:55[SPEAKER_02]: With the windshield.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: and they beat us, not only are they a style team, they're a freaking don't team, a dome team came up here and beat the cold weather advantage, Cleveland Browns.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: No thank you, listen guys, you know this podcast, I don't think there's a single host on this show who's against the dome.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like you said, Zach, those called weather games, forget them.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: Don't worry about him or is it going to rain?
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: Is it going to be windy in this doesn't matter?
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's going to be a controlled environment.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_02]: You get to go watch the players that you love the team that you follow and you get to see the athletes perform at their highest level because there will be no weather factor taking anything away.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's people out there a lot of old school guys and gals who think this is football weather for me and in this new age and era where a lot of things are driven by a fantasy football and bedding and things like that, not saying that should dictate the flow of the game, but there's so much money at the same time and this plays into that as well.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: There's so much money paid to these athletes.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to go watch
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: You know, a $30 million a year wide receiver catch two passes for 14 yards in a game because it rained the whole damn time.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's no fun.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even want to sit on my couch and watch that.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to watch a $60 million a year quarterback complete 11 passes for, you know, 11 11 yards or whatever, because it was a snow game.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want, like, that's not fun to me.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_02]: And that's just my personal opinion.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: There are people that are gonna listen to this and watch this episode and say, you're an idiot, and that's fine.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: There are definitely both sides of the coin on this stadium topic.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_02]: and what it really boils down to for me personally and I have no problem admitting this.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: What's so ever, I will tell anybody who asks, if I wanna go to a game in November, December, and sometimes even October, I say, no, you know why?
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a pussy, I am, I'm just gonna call it what it is.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: There's no denying it, I am a weather pussy.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_02]: When it is, cold outside, no freaking thank you.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_02]: My fingers and my toes are the first things to go and they go,
- 26:12[SPEAKER_02]: in like the first couple minutes.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: And then I am screwed the rest of the time.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_02]: I can never stay warm.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: I am cold enough as it is just my normal state.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: I do not have great blood circulation.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: I am a pussy.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: I do not like to be in the cold.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: I do not like to be in the rain.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: I will stay at home.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_02]: I will watch it on my couch and I will bitch and moan on Twitter about the weather affecting the performance of my players.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's just the way it goes.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: I am excited to see the development in the area.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited to see the restaurants, the bars, the shops, that just whatever they develop in that area, like you said, it's going to be like a small city.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's a much larger scale of what the Pro Football Hall of Fame did in Canton, Ohio.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_02]: Now, we're just right down the road from Canton, grew up right around the area.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I've driven past the Hall of Fame.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes every single day on my way to this place or that place, I've been to the whole of fame for my previous job, one of our, I want to my jobs with customer entertainment and when we would have people come to our facility and do trainings and host customer events, we would do that at minimum 10 times a year and every single time we would take those customers to the whole of fame.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I've been there.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_02]: hundreds probably hundreds of times over the last 10, 15 years and the way that the Hall of Fame city Hall of Fame, I guess it's Hall of Fame village has started out from just an old rickety, fallen apart, faucet stadium to this new NFL caliber stadium that's up there now with the restaurants and the convention center and all the stuff they're still planning to do is really cool.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: And that's how I envision the Cleveland Browns, the Brooke Park development being, but on a much larger scale.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: So I am excited about it, Zach.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: I really am.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not excited about the product on the field.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_02]: I just, I don't really know what direction they're going yet.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: We got to see how things play out here in this off season with the draft.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see what 20, 26 looks like and, you know, if they end up taking a quarterback Tyson, or if they, they're gearing toward a quarterback in 20, 27, we'll get a better idea of what this team might look like in 20, 29, or 30, or whenever it actually gets completed up there, but the actual stadium experience.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm very excited for because these new NFL domes, these new NFL stadiums, they're really cool.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like they're really, really nice.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's going to be awesome that there's going to be the open that the glass ceiling, you know, you can just, it's not really, it's enclosed, but it's open.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you can, you can still see the weather, experience what it's doing outside, sunny, cloudy, rainy snow, whatever.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: without having to endure the actual elements.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: And then there's the fact that the dog pound, the one thing I'm super excited for, and I think a lot of you guys, if you don't really know the features, the proposed features of the new stadium, go check them out.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: One of the things is the dog pound is it from the field.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: And remember, this new dome stadium is gonna be recessed down into the ground from ground level.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: So from the ground, all the way to the top stands.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: The dog pound is supposed to be one,
- 29:28[SPEAKER_02]: entire section is going to almost be a wall of dog pound fans.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: And the way the architecture is for the sound in the stadium with that with the way the ceiling sloped with the glad everything, the dog pound, the sound from the dog pound, the cheers, the roars, the barks, everything is supposed to just absolutely escalate across the stadium.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: And the other thing that's going to be really cool,
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to word it.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: It will have the closest seating to the actual field of any stadium in the NFL.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_02]: So it's trying to get fans more immersed in the game, get you closer to the action, and also to transition and translate the fans and their cheering.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: onto the field, onto the players around the entire place and really create an atmosphere that's going to be unlike any other in the NFL, at least that's my understanding of it, and that's what I'm excited to see how it all comes out.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: So let me know what you guys think.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I know, listen, and there's going to be people who are, let's think of this saying, I hate the dome, I want the lakeside, I want the open stadium, that's fine.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's fine.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm telling, this is my personal, this is my personal thing, but he also wants to hear from you guys.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_02]: So, please in the comments, let us all know where you are on the dome, hate it, love it, what do you excited about for it?
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: What are you going to miss about, first-end or I guess, Huntington Bank Stadium on the Lake?
- 31:07[SPEAKER_02]: Let me know what you guys think, Zach, appreciate your voice mail, man.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_02]: Great topic of conversation.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: and something that is going to be a really cool thing to be talking about here is the next few years go by.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: This episode is partnered with Kalshi.

- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: With Kalshi the objective is either yes or no.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: Will Shidorah Sanders be the Browns week one starting quarterback?
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: Will Fernando Mendoza be the first overall pick in the draft?
- 31:49[SPEAKER_02]: Will the Browns make their pick at six or will they trade out of that spot?
- 31:52[SPEAKER_02]: And in other sports, will the calves win the NBA Finals?

- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: Discover quality and excellence in all things outdoors with Mount Hope fence.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, and this is the last one for the day, as I said, we had a second voicemail here from Justin, so let's hear what he's got to say.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_06]: You know, if they're both on the board, take tape, if tape's gone, but loves on the board, take love.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_06]: I like them both over.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_06]: The linebackers, the cable downs, and any of the quarterbacks.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_06]: So, and now it's my reason why my last voicemail, if we do go line in why I would personally go with Fano.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_06]: Some people disagree with that, that's okay.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_06]: but another route we could go, which I've brought this up before a while ago, is that we could go to either severs in the first round, which I also love.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_06]: And say we don't go fan out the lineman route with the number six pick.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_06]: So when I would like to go for going to either severs,
- 34:08[SPEAKER_06]: I would go take my Kylaman early and then go after Omar Cooper Jr. with the 24th pick.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_06]: So we come out of the first round with my Kylaman and Omar Cooper Jr.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_06]: I think that's a huge win.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_06]: Anyway, I was wondering what your thoughts are on that.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_06]: Go Browns.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_06]: Woo-hoo!
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Justin, thanks again for the voice note.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, Justin did just join the dog pack community at the elite here, no less.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you so much, Justin.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_02]: Really do appreciate that, appreciate your support.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you constantly sending in voice mails, enter acting, engaging with the show and giving us topics to discuss here with everybody else in the Browns fan community.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's awesome.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_02]: So again, go to join the dogs.com if you want to be like Justin and get into the dog
- 34:53[SPEAKER_02]: And one thing I want to touch on here, briefly because I've got a larger segment once again coming up next week about this player.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_02]: But Jeremiah love, if Cardinal Tate is gone, say the giant sort of the Titans take him before we're on the clock, but they do not take love.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: I know I get it.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_02]: I hear it all the time.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_02]: You can't take a running back at number six.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: There's a very good chance that running back is going to go at number four or number five.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you can take a running back at number six, especially when it's not just a running back.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: So I keep trying to tell people and remind people, you can't look at Jeremiah Lovin, focus on the RB.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: You can't look at those two letters next to his name in any sort of prospect listing and say, well, he's just a running back.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: You can't take him at six.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_02]: The dude is an elite offensive playmaker.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: He is a weapon and overall all around weapon.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: And he is a player that can break a game wide open on any given play.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: And I keep trying to tell people, Jeremiah love is the player that as a brown span, you watch other games.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: we all do.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: You watch other games and you see these elite playmakers do something awesome for their offense.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: Make it just a ridiculous play.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: Put a move on a guy and they're gone.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_02]: Go on and it's like, wow, why can't we ever have that type of player?
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: Jeremiah love is that type of player.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking again, here we go.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I didn't listen to these voicemails before I did the show.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm kind of just doing this on the fly and reacting as I go.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: But Justin also brought up, again, the two wide receivers in the first round.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: Number one, I wanna make it very clear.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: I do not believe that's even possible for the Browns to do.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's in their wheelhouse.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think Andrew Barry has it in his guts to make that sort of a commitment to the wide receiver room.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: He hasn't so far over six years.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: It is a unit and this is what's mind-boggling me
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: as the Browns are, how much they base their decisions in the analytics of football.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: You've got a premium position that every good team you see has at least one elite player, if not a couple very, very good high-level players, at the wide receiver position.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: And the Browns, for some reason, this Andrew Berry led front office looks at that position and says,
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: We can bargain Ben shop there.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, we can get some deals.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_02]: We don't need to invest anything big into this wider silver room.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: We'll go out and flip a fifth for a Murray Cooper.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_02]: That was a nice move.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_02]: It lasted for two years.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_02]: We need a little bit more sustainability at the Wyrsiever position than just a 30 year old Murray Cooper for two seasons.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_02]: Again, that was nice.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: It was not anything geared toward longevity at the position.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: You want to go flip what was at a fourth or something for Jerry Judy?
- 37:51[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see, do you see how that has worked?
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: No consistency whatsoever.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_02]: You want the highest investment?
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: It was a second round pick for Elijah Moore.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_02]: Come on, Andrew Barry.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: Give us freaking receivers, dude.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting so tired of watching this offense.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: God, well, really had a receiver.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_02]: Every freaking year just pisses me off.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: Come on, man.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: And to go to Justin's question here before I get to, I rate about the state of that room.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: If you took Mackay lemon early, I, see, I struggle here.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: I bounced back and forth.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_02]: I've been like this this entire draft season.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: No matter what, I'm good with Tated Six.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's what I want.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's, I think he's that guy to take it six.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: Mackay lemon, I think is a dog.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a dude.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to be a very good NFL-wide receiver.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: He's the guy I'd like to trade back a little bit.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe get a little extra capital and still be able to land.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: That's how I see Mackay lemon.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: Clearly a first round talent, clearly a top 15 talent, but not somebody I'm willing to take it six, especially over like a Coronel Tate or a Jeremiah love.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: And if you did take my Kylemon, I don't know if I would take Omar Cooper Jr., they do a lot of the same stuff.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: Their specialties are both in the slot.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not saying they're slot only receivers.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: They can both play outside when needed to, but they're primary area of dominance and their highest ceiling success rate is going to be in the slot.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you can only put one player in the slot on a given play.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I would take my Kylim and Omar Cooper Jr., they both excel at yards after the catch, getting open, making plays with the ball on their hand.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like if you take one, you need to try to diversify your wider sea for portfolio just a little bit with the second one.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_02]: So that's where like a McCuy lemon might pair up better with a Denzel Boston or a guy that I need to do a little more work on because I'm just not there yet, but I know a lot of the lot of the people that specialize in wide receivers are very high on Chris Brassel out of Tennessee.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: I know, I know, scout the player, not the helmet, all that kind of stuff, but it's really hard not to sit here and be like, Ohio State receivers are fricking awesome every year and Tennessee players never are.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_02]: We already have one on our team and he's not.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_02]: But I will lend a little benefit of the doubt to Chris Brassel and the guys that actually scout these wide receiver positions and say, look, this dude is different.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: A guy like Brassel, a guy like Boston might pair up a little better with a McCuy lemon, just like on the reverse side of things.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: Carnell Tate would pair up a lot better with an Omar Cooper or Casey Concepcion, then he would another Denzel Boston type of wide receiver.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: So that's kind of my thought process on it, maybe I'm off base, maybe who cares, just take the best receivers even if they do overlap.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's a plan to either way.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't anticipate interviewer taking two in the first round at all.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: Two in the first three picks.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_02]: I would love that.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: I still think that might be a stretch.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know, guys.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: I am tempering my expectations for why receivers in this draft strictly do to Andrew Barry's resilience to taking or investing anything of substance into that position over six years.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: So he's got to break that trend for me to actually start buying in to him taking that position seriously, unfortunately.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_02]: Alright guys, that's all the voicemails for today.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, actually, you know what?
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not wrapping it up yet.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: I do have a couple messages here from the website.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: So again, that's another thing you can do.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to leave these voicemails, get on the show, get reaction to all that kind of stuff.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's uh, thedogspodcast.com, taply voicemail on the drop-down or up in the main menu and then there's also an option where if you don't want to record your voice and send it in, you can just type up a message and send it in and this first one is from our girl Stacey in the dog pack.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: She says, what do you guys think about bringing Josh Dobbs back and having him be a part of the quarterback competition?
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, Stacy, and it's Josh Dobbs, you know, it's, if you bring Josh Dobbs back, I don't think he's part of the competition as it were.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's, you know, he's your practice squad emergency quarterback.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_02]: That's, that is Josh Dobbs in the NFL.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_02]: You can use him as your main backup if you need to, but I still wouldn't prefer it.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a, he's a good NFL quarterback to have on your roster in the case of emergency.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: that's where I am with Josh Dobbs.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously he's been here but for that was part of a different coaching regime.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: Todd Munkin and his guys are gonna feel about, you know, a player like Josh Dobbs, he's obviously familiar with the organization.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't hate it.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Browns need to add somebody back in, but Andrew Barry is also said if they bring another quarterback, it's most likely going to be a younger player.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: Whether that's another wasted mid round pick on a quarterback that's just gonna be your QB3 and to waste a pick anyway.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_02]: Or a guy that they're gonna trade for from another team right before camp or something like that.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's gonna be a younger player.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: I like the player, but for me he's a taking really even kind of guy, I don't think he really moves the needle in any direction.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_02]: For the Browns at the quarterback position, then finally to wrap things up, Kane sent us a mock draft.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't even looked at this yet, so this is truly just live reaction here.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: He says, what's up dogs, getting all my mock drafts in, decided to do a test to mock draft with whoever was at the top of the mock database, when it came around each Browns bag.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so you didn't even, I see what you're doing here, okay, so you didn't, you didn't consider anything other than who was the top player on the board at each pick and boom, you picked that guy for the Browns.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm interested to see how this goes.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not even looking through the list yet.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: He says no trades, browns current positions, and this is how it went.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, here we go.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I've not looked at this yet, so this is gonna be fun.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_02]: Pick six.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_02]: Top of the board, browns take David Bailey, edge russia out of Texas, tech.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_02]: might be the best edge rush from the class.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'll do a segment on him next week for you guys.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: Pick 24 Jordan Tyson.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: He says in parentheses here, first time Tyson has ever fallen this low when I've done a mock draft.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_02]: So we go David Bailey get an edge rusher and we get Jordan Tyson anyway at Pick 24 Pick 39 is Blake Miller.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: So we still get one in my opinion, one of the top offence of tackles in the class.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: at 39 in the second round, picks 70, DeAngelo Ponds.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think that this, so far, this, if this is how the draft goes, I'd be pumped.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: I know, I know, guys.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_02]: Ed rush for at six, maybe not, maybe not.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's what they decide they want to do with Miles Garrett after June.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see how that goes.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: But seriously, Bayley is going to be a very good player in the NFL.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: Jordan Tyson, Blake Miller, D'Angelo Ponce, and then Pick 107 is Ted Frick and Hurst.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'm getting on board with this mock and the way it fell for you, Kane.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_02]: This is a cool exercise.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: 141 was Justin Jolly.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: The, I'm sorry, Ted Hurst, wide receiver out of Georgia State.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: And then Justin Jolly, tight end out of, was it, NC State, NC State, Brennan Thompson, so you get in the wide receiver out of Mississippi State, who, and then we'll just end it here to Cario Davis, corner back out of TCU.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: Damn, dude.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: Good job, King.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: And this is, maybe we should just send this to Andrew Barry and say, hey, man, just whoever's the the top player on mock draft databases board, when the Browns are on the clock for real, just take that guy.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: David Bailey, Jordan Tyson, Blake Miller, DeAngelo Ponds, Ted Hurst, Justin Jolly, Brennan Thompson, Tecario Davis, what I like about this is not only into the Browns take two receivers, they took three, and one of them was Jordan Tyson, who again, I do think he's the third best receiver in this class.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_02]: Hell, guys, I don't know, man, I'm so torn on Jordan Tyson.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_02]: I might hit that half him at four.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_02]: I might have to accept the own over Tyson.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's definitely Tate Lemon for me.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's kind of a toss up for Tyson and six, seven.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of a toss up for Jordan.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry, I just did that, guys.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: I know, just tear me apart in the comments.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_02]: What an idiot, I am.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm way too old for that.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: Anyhow,
- 46:21[SPEAKER_02]: Jordan Tyson to me with the injury history and a lot of the film work that I've listened to guys breaking down his tape, like him, but say he doesn't really do any one thing elite.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: And one thing that has been kind of a common theme across Jordan Tyson breakdowns that I've listened to and watch has been might be a little soft.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's kind of a soft player.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: There's not a lot of fight and there's not a lot of physical dominance in his game.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's more of a finesse guy and I just don't know.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: I want a little bit of toughness.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: in my players.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I think we've already got a soft wide receiver in Jerry Judy.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: And you see how that works on the field.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_02]: There's really no dog, there's really no fight.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of if it's there, it's great, if it's not, it's bad.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: And that's my favorite Jordan Tyson on top of the injury stuff.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, then you get Ted Hurst and you get Brennan Thompson and a guy that I haven't really talked about much on this show.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_02]: He's a small receiver.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: He's only like 5859.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: And here we go with the 40 times.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: He was super fast, only four to something at the combine.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: But he can actually play the wider silver position, unlike another super fast guy, Anthony Schwartz.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_02]: So getting Brennan Thompson at 146, I think would be a lot of fun for this offense, especially if you already had two other receivers in the draft.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_02]: So, Cain, thank you for sending in that mock.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: And...
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that was pretty interesting.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty interesting way to do it.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_02]: Let me make sure I didn't miss any other messages from the website here.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think I did.
