• 1:51
Speaker 1: He has some time in between that game in the

Speaker 1: two A Division two game between Munster in Shiner. We're
• 1:58
Speaker 1: gonna have Mike Hardball Hartz join us next segment, gonna
• 2:01
Speaker 1: get his thoughts on the college football playoff this Texas game.
• 2:04
Speaker 1: Of course, he is my compadre on Longhorn's game day
• 2:08
Speaker 1: official pregame show of Texas Football. We'll be back in
• 2:11
Speaker 1: action live on Bevo Boulevard noon. The two o'clock will
• 2:14
Speaker 1: be our coverage. So if you're down at DKR, come out,
• 2:18
Speaker 1: say what's up to myself? Mike Carge and Mark Henry,
• 2:22
Speaker 1: all three of us will be down there. The world
• 2:24
Speaker 1: strongest man coming back to join us. Going to have
• 2:27
Speaker 1: special guests and insiders getting you ready for this big
• 2:30
Speaker 1: college football playoff game. And of course our network coverage
• 2:33
Speaker 1: begins with Craig Way, Roger Walls, and Will Matthew starting
• 2:36
Speaker 1: at two o'clock Central Time. Kickoff schedule for three o'clock, eh,
• 2:40
Speaker 1: more like three ten, three point fifteen. You guys know
• 2:43
Speaker 1: how it goes with these prime time or national TV
• 2:46
Speaker 1: broadcasts rather but excited for that, make sure you tune in.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: We will be on thirteen hundred and of course you
• 2:52
Speaker 1: can listen to the football game on thirteen hundred as
• 2:54
Speaker 1: well as nine to eight point one Cavet and one
• 2:57
Speaker 1: on three to one Austin's eighty station.
• 2:59
  Speaker 2: Next. CJ.
• 3:01
Speaker 1: Vogel from on Texas Football always enjoy his insight, does
• 3:05
Speaker 1: some great work with Bobby Burton and Rod Babers on OTF.
• 3:09
Speaker 1: He will join us three o'clock hour. Get his thoughts
• 3:12
Speaker 1: on this game, the keys, and also the latest on
• 3:15
Speaker 1: the transfer portal in specific Texas targets including oh Eric Singleton,
• 3:21
Speaker 1: the former Georgia Tech receiver usc Sekaia Brantch what's happening
• 3:25
Speaker 1: with that recruitment. A lot of stuff happening here as
• 3:28
Speaker 1: a transfer portal window is open with fall semester wrapping up,
• 3:33
Speaker 1: and of course a very interesting time with a lot
• 3:35
Speaker 1: of teams preparing for bowl games or the college football playoffs.
• 3:38
Speaker 1: So Texas has been very busy, obviously preparing for Clemson,
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: but also I think a guy's on campus, a few
• 3:44
Speaker 1: key players on campus this bast week. We'll talk about
• 3:47
Speaker 1: it throughout the show as well, of course Inconceivable two forty,
• 3:51
Speaker 1: and then throughout the show, we're gonna sprinkle in some
• 3:53
Speaker 1: audio from Texas Longhorns point guard Julian Larry, who had
• 3:57
Speaker 1: thirteen assists on Sunday against Arkansas Pine buff Now I
• 4:02
Speaker 1: won't say it right now, a little bit of trivia
• 4:03
Speaker 1: for you guys. Who was the last Texas Longhorn point guard?
• 4:07
Speaker 1: They have thirteen assists in a game? Let us know,
• 4:10
Speaker 1: talk back or Texas eight one to five, three zero,
• 4:14
Speaker 1: we'll talk to We'll talk to him, but we'll play
• 4:16
Speaker 1: audio from Julian Larry's media availability yesterday.
• 4:18
Speaker 2: He talks about that with the team has.
• 4:21
Speaker 1: Learned so far through non conference players, they get ready
• 4:23
Speaker 1: for a very very tough conference play in the Southeastern Conference. Obviously,
• 4:28
Speaker 1: Texas up the great Big twelve basketball conference, but let
• 4:30
Speaker 1: me tell you something, folks, if there's a drop off,
• 4:33
Speaker 1: it's very slim between the Big Twelve and the SEC.
• 4:36
Speaker 1: And I think some would argue that the SEC has
• 4:38
Speaker 1: a better basketball conference this season because right now what
• 4:40
Speaker 1: we're seeing out of Tennessee, out of Kentucky, Florida with
• 4:45
Speaker 1: a come from behind win last night over North Carolina
• 4:47
Speaker 1: at the jump Man Classic. It's a tough conference and
• 4:51
Speaker 1: the schedule gets very tough for Texas to start. But
• 4:54
Speaker 1: the conference that probably going to be maybe a ten
• 4:58
Speaker 1: bid league for the nca turn much like the Big
• 5:00
Speaker 1: Twelve has been in years past. So we'll hear from
• 5:03
Speaker 1: Juwe and Larry at some point then. Also, Texas women's
• 5:06
Speaker 1: basketball a big victory last night as they knocked off
• 5:09
Speaker 1: Less out at Moody Center one eleven to forty nine
• 5:14
Speaker 1: as the six rink Longhorns. A big victory, and now
• 5:18
Speaker 1: they'll get ready for one more non conference game on
• 5:21
Speaker 1: Sunday before they prepare for SEC play. I believe they
• 5:25
Speaker 1: open up with Oklahoma in January. Texas has two more
• 5:29
Speaker 1: basketball games remaining before conference play starts against Texas A
• 5:33
Speaker 1: and M. They'll play Themorrow night seven o'clock six thirty
• 5:36
Speaker 1: air time against Nolan's Nolans University, and then about a
• 5:40
Speaker 1: week off a little bit longer than that, they'll host
• 5:42
Speaker 1: Northwestern State on Sunday the twenty ninth before beginning conference play.
• 5:48
Speaker 1: A quick note, women's basketball does play a UTRGV the
• 5:52
Speaker 1: same Sunday, December twenty ninth before they begin conference plays.
• 5:55
Speaker 1: So two more non conference games for both Texas women's
• 5:59
Speaker 1: basketball and ten Exus men's basketball before they start SEC play.
• 6:03
Speaker 1: And we'll hear from coach Blair Schaeffer in freshman guard
• 6:07
Speaker 1: Brianna Preston who visited with Craig Way and Kathy Harston
• 6:11
Speaker 1: last night postgame? Okay, real quick last night before we
• 6:15
Speaker 1: hit this break here, did anybody watch the West Virginia game? Man,
• 6:20
Speaker 1: what a fun showdown in the Scooters Coffee Frisco Bowl.
• 6:24
Speaker 1: And I think with the college football playoff, obviously the
• 6:26
Speaker 1: bowl games have been kind of deluded with transfer portal
• 6:29
Speaker 1: nil and players opting out preparing for the draft or
• 6:32
Speaker 1: just transferring. Probably not a lot of eyes on the
• 6:35
Speaker 1: Scooters Coffee Frisco Bowl, but a fantastic game, forty two
• 6:40
Speaker 1: to thirty seven to twenty fifth rank Memphis holding off
• 6:43
Speaker 1: West Virginia. It looked like they had a late interception
• 6:47
Speaker 1: hurt into a fumble, but review replay came in said
• 6:51
Speaker 1: the interceptor was sliding. Kept at Memphis Football. They would
• 6:56
Speaker 1: go on the win forty two to thirty seven Garrett
• 6:59
Speaker 1: Green threader and twenty eight yards two touchdowns.
• 7:01
  Speaker 2: CJ.
• 7:02
Speaker 1: Donaldson and I believe his final game as a Mountaineer
• 7:05
Speaker 1: with a pair of touchdowns on the ground. A fun game.
• 7:09
Speaker 1: You know, college football bowlseason can be fun, folks, even
• 7:12
Speaker 1: though I think most of casual football fans and college
• 7:17
Speaker 1: football even even above average fans just kind of, you know,
• 7:20
Speaker 1: focusing on the playoff. And I understand that not too
• 7:23
Speaker 1: many people were pumped up for South Alabama in Western
• 7:25
Speaker 1: m Michigan over the weekend.
• 7:27
Speaker 2: Shout out major Apple White no ball games tonight.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: Georgia Southern and Sam Houston will play Thursday night in
• 7:34
Speaker 1: the R and L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. Friday action
• 7:40
Speaker 1: at Tulane in Florida. In Ohio and Jacksonville State and
• 7:42
Speaker 1: of course the big one Indiana and Notre Dame Friday Night.
• 7:47
Speaker 1: The line right now Notre Dame minus seven in this
• 7:50
Speaker 1: game as the favorite. The first time that ESPN will
• 7:53
Speaker 1: be broadcasting a home football game in South bendin I
• 7:57
Speaker 1: believe the nineties eighties, and I think at first glanch
• 8:00
Speaker 1: a lot of people think Indiana kind of a fraud.
• 8:03
Speaker 1: You play in the Big ten, you know, the one
• 8:05
Speaker 1: big game they played, the lost to Ohio State. Not
• 8:07
Speaker 1: so fast, folks, you know, obviously Notre Dame. You had
• 8:10
Speaker 1: to win over A and M to start the season,
• 8:12
Speaker 1: a thumped army able.
• 8:14
  Speaker 2: To withstand USC.
• 8:17
Speaker 1: But the Indiana team, even though they lost thirty eight
• 8:19
Speaker 1: to fifteen to Ohio State in the Pelopmate week of
• 8:22
Speaker 1: the season, defense was pretty solid. I mean only held
• 8:25
Speaker 1: Ohio State to three hundred and sixteen total yards of offense,
• 8:29
Speaker 1: the second lowest output for the Buckeyes this season behind
• 8:32
Speaker 1: their loss to Michigan. And on Notre Dame side kind
• 8:36
Speaker 1: of got lit up by USC guys. You know, their
• 8:39
Speaker 1: passing attack is all right with Riley Leonard. I'm not
• 8:42
Speaker 1: the biggest fan at what they do offensively, but gave
• 8:45
Speaker 1: up thirty five points to USC in that game. I mean,
• 8:49
Speaker 1: the Trojans had five hundred and fifty seven total yards,
• 8:52
Speaker 1: the Notre Dames four hundred and thirty six two turnovers.
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: I don't know about y'all. I kind of like Indiana
• 8:58
Speaker 1: in this game Friday night. The other ones including Penn State, SMU,
• 9:04
Speaker 1: Penn State big favorites, and yeah, sorry to those folks
• 9:07
Speaker 1: up in Fort Worth. I think I'm right through in agreement.
• 9:10
Speaker 1: Penn State offense has has looked the part the last
• 9:13
Speaker 1: few weeks. Duralers looked really good. Tyler Warren All American
• 9:16
Speaker 1: and winner of the Mackiew Award. He's just been fantastic.
• 9:20
Speaker 1: SMU's defense had trouble with Clemson. I think they're gonna
• 9:23
Speaker 1: have trouble with Penn State this week. Penn State an
• 9:25
Speaker 1: eight and a half point favorite, like that as well,
• 9:27
Speaker 1: and then the Ohio State Tennessee game is very interesting.
• 9:30
Speaker 2: But guys, a seven and a half point favorite.
• 9:33
Speaker 1: Had that the loss to Oregon where they were driving
• 9:37
Speaker 1: and of course and remember Will Howard to not get
• 9:39
Speaker 1: down in time. Oregon had that late Fueld goal to
• 9:42
Speaker 1: end up losing thirty two to thirty one on the road.
• 9:45
Speaker 1: And then the weird loss of Michigan thirteen to ten. Now,
• 9:49
Speaker 1: when you think about Michigan and Texas fans, is you
• 9:51
Speaker 1: know this because Texas beat Michigan this season. What was
• 9:54
Speaker 1: the one strength of the Wolverines Their defense, but specifically
• 9:58
Speaker 1: specifically defensive line. Right two first second round draft picks
• 10:04
Speaker 1: future first second round draft picks on the defensive line.
• 10:07
Speaker 2: So if you're Ohose State.
• 10:11
Speaker 1: You're thinking, all right, we have all these weapons on
• 10:12
Speaker 1: the outside, let's attack the outside. Came with the game
• 10:16
Speaker 1: plan one of those ship Kelly a Ryan Day trying
• 10:18
Speaker 1: to be more physical. You know, where's Lou Holtz out
• 10:20
Speaker 1: all that crap? I mean they got destroyed up front
• 10:23
Speaker 1: by Michigan and defensively as well. Gave up one hundred
• 10:25
Speaker 1: and seventy two rushing yards. He only ran for seventy
• 10:28
Speaker 1: seven yards in that game. Huge credit to Kenneth Grant
• 10:32
Speaker 1: and Mason Graham. But the one thing about Tennessee Now,
• 10:35
Speaker 1: their offense has been up and down the season, But
• 10:37
Speaker 1: what's the one strength of Tennessee on defense? Also, they're
• 10:42
Speaker 1: a defensive line, a great defensive line. They get to
• 10:44
Speaker 1: the quarterback, they do a great job of stuffing the run,
• 10:48
Speaker 1: and they have some playmakers on the defensive front as
• 10:50
Speaker 1: well some future draft picks on the defensive line. That
• 10:53
Speaker 1: scares me a bit if I'm Ohose State fan. James
• 10:55
Speaker 1: Pierce Junior has been fantastic this season seven and a
• 10:58
Speaker 1: half sacks, have a eight secondary as well. Line at
• 11:02
Speaker 1: seven and a half, I don't know, not sure about
• 11:05
Speaker 1: that one kind of lye in Tennessee, but we'll see. Okay,
• 11:10
Speaker 1: Dishi get is sarready to hear on this Wednesday. It
• 11:12
Speaker 1: is a yacht rock Wednesday. And even though Craig Wait
• 11:14
Speaker 1: is not here, yes, I will still adhere to Craig
• 11:17
Speaker 1: Way and we'll bump.
• 11:18
Speaker 2: Back with some yacht rock.
• 11:19
Speaker 1: But up next we're gonna visit with Mike Hardball Harge
• 11:22
Speaker 1: as we'll continue to preview Texas and Clemson.
• 11:26
Speaker 2: It's the Craig Way Show.
