- 0:03Speaker 1: Enough is enough.
- 0:05Speaker 2: I don't have any share your sup and we hold
- 0:09Speaker 2: the world ransom for.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Excuse me while I whip this house broadcasting live and Atlanta, Georgia.
- 0:18Speaker 1: This this is the Sports Shot Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 0:23Speaker 1: You may.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Come so far, it comes abong?
- 0:33Speaker 4: Is it just.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I'm a doing? Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way
- 0:40Speaker 3: you made Bill Vegan.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I'll be listening to the Sports Shock Show.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I'm the Sport Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you
- 0:50Speaker 1: out there and listening lane. One quick note as we start,
- 0:55Speaker 1: as you might imagine if you clicked on uh, there
- 0:58Speaker 1: is no visual today. The cameras are not in the studio. No,
- 1:04Speaker 1: we were not robbed, just due to some technical difficulties.
- 1:09Speaker 1: The cameras are not here. And I did go out
- 1:14Speaker 1: to bick Kenny's car check make sure they were not there.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Because he's always teetering on crime. He's back and forth
- 1:26Speaker 1: with crime as he Breathed's just a lifelong struggle with
- 1:30Speaker 1: the young man. And hopefully before we read him his
- 1:37Speaker 1: rights to leave this earth, he will get it together.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Command she Greg is in the building, the bad producer
- 1:45Speaker 1: who is ready for March madness. They estimated about three
- 1:50Speaker 1: billion dollars. We'll be gamboled here on March Madness on
- 1:59Speaker 1: the tree ornaments here over the next three four weeks
- 2:02Speaker 1: between the men and the women's side of the brackets.
- 2:06Speaker 1: That about three and zero point one billion dollars. That's
- 2:11Speaker 1: just an estimate that they feel, and that is some
- 2:15Speaker 1: of why they're running this new campaign, Don't be a Loser.
- 2:20Speaker 1: You can look that up. It's a commercial about a
- 2:23Speaker 1: minute long where they're trying to ask any of you
- 2:27Speaker 1: out there that love to gamble and then when things
- 2:32Speaker 1: don't go your way, you borrate the athlete. That is
- 2:37Speaker 1: something that they are trying to push and run a
- 2:39Speaker 1: campaign because now with the consistent idea of gambling and
- 2:48Speaker 1: the multifaceted ways that you can gamble, you know, just
- 2:54Speaker 1: like everything else in our society, gambling has definitely of
- 3:00Speaker 1: evolved from its roots where it just used to be
- 3:06Speaker 1: wins and losses, those kind of you know, the score.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So went from when the losses to win and losses
- 3:16Speaker 1: based on the score, and then it started to trickle
- 3:20Speaker 1: down into what we call it now where you basically
- 3:25Speaker 1: parlay and you take the quarter and you take someone's
- 3:29Speaker 1: stats and we have decided that it is a form
- 3:34Speaker 1: of getting rich for some, giving hope to some. And
- 3:41Speaker 1: as we always do in this country, we kind of
- 3:44Speaker 1: don't ever show the negative unless the negative is placed
- 3:51Speaker 1: at defeat of someone that we don't like. So if
- 3:56Speaker 1: it's a villain that we have decided in our society,
- 3:59Speaker 1: then on that villain, we will report on that, but
- 4:03Speaker 1: we will make it. It's kind of like college drinking.
- 4:08Speaker 1: You know, nobody talks about underage college drinking. It's one
- 4:13Speaker 1: of those subjects that just go unheard of. It's not reported,
- 4:17Speaker 1: it's not spoken. But if you've gone to college, if
- 4:21Speaker 1: you driven by a college, if you DJed college, if
- 4:25Speaker 1: your car broke down out of college, you saw your
- 4:32Speaker 1: brother in law's sister's son who you know, just turned eighteen.
- 4:38Speaker 1: What a twelve pack two days ago, you've seen it.
- 4:41Speaker 1: He walked right by, turned eighteen two days didn't speak
- 4:44Speaker 1: because he tried that, like, I know, he didn't know Tony,
- 4:49Speaker 1: This ain't me, it's not me. So this is not me,
- 4:53Speaker 1: mister Johnson, how you know my name? Then? So it's
- 4:58Speaker 1: just like that with camel, like they just show you
- 5:01Speaker 1: the partner. Still, you know, I think that's just how
- 5:04Speaker 1: our society has become on a lot of things, whether
- 5:06Speaker 1: it's drugs or how we've labeled sex workers. So we
- 5:11Speaker 1: talk about it in this way like they're the negative
- 5:15Speaker 1: of it is not as about as equal to the positive.
- 5:19Speaker 1: So for every cancer patient that is smoking weed and
- 5:23Speaker 1: feeling good, there's people who are smoking something even stronger
- 5:30Speaker 1: than the cancer patient who is totally sleep at his
- 5:33Speaker 1: job right now about to get fired. And here school
- 5:36Speaker 1: bus drive at the lightbody. The tournament is here, and
- 5:43Speaker 1: we were ready to go. I know my Auburn Tigers.
- 5:45Speaker 1: We start off with one of my friends, Alabama State.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I've gone to some of their football games. My friend
- 5:54Speaker 1: Brenda is a big wig down there on the alumni board.
- 6:00Speaker 1: But that's who Auburn. Alabama State won the other night
- 6:02Speaker 1: to get to this round. Remember they had those two games. Uh,
- 6:06Speaker 1: North Carolina State beat up on the Sisters of the
- 6:09Speaker 1: Poor or North Carolina beat on the Sisters of the Poor. Uh,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and Alabama State won their game because the blue bloods.
- 6:19Speaker 1: No y'all played somebody? What was it? Who did y'all play?
- 6:23Speaker 5: I know we got Francis Saint Francis United, San Diego
- 6:29Speaker 5: State because I was.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Gonna say St. Francis United, But.
- 6:35Speaker 6: But West Virginia University, Indama said they could beat them too, though.
- 6:40Speaker 1: So I mean, I don't know. I thought you didn't
- 6:42Speaker 1: look back. I just said they no. Sixty seconds before
- 6:48Speaker 1: that you said you didn't look back, and then you
- 6:50Speaker 1: went back, went back back, back, back back back back. Bike.
- 6:54Speaker 1: You didn't go back, you went by, so you went
- 6:57Speaker 1: right bike. But Alabama State North Carolina has who old
- 7:02Speaker 1: miss miss, which should be a good game right there.
- 7:05Speaker 1: With old miss. The SEC this year put fourteen of
- 7:10Speaker 1: the eighteen teams. Sixteen teams in the SEC now a
- 7:15Speaker 1: billion teams, it's sixteen or eighteen in there. So to
- 7:20Speaker 1: put fourteen, you're talking about eighty five of the teams
- 7:25Speaker 1: in the SEC old misses. A feel bad if you
- 7:27Speaker 1: didn't make the tournament, that didn't make it. Why that
- 7:32Speaker 1: means you was playing top competition sports jot. Yes, if
- 7:36Speaker 1: we could, sir, I just like to make suggest you're
- 7:39Speaker 1: going forward.
- 7:40Speaker 7: I don't know how we would uh forward or back forward? Okay,
- 7:45Speaker 7: let's do a count his.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Contradictions every time, every time he contradicts himself, we're going
- 7:52Speaker 1: to count it, and then he's going to to log
- 7:55Speaker 1: that one comment and then maybe at the end of
- 7:58Speaker 1: something we played playing his contradictions back. Sixteen teams, sixteen
- 8:07Speaker 1: teams in the SEC. Fourteen of them ended up going
- 8:10Speaker 1: to the tournament for you students down there at LSU.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I'm quite sure that the tickets are gone. I don't
- 8:20Speaker 1: need some amen this wait, okay, can I talk Kim Moki,
- 8:32Speaker 1: the head coach of the LSU women Tigers, bought the
- 8:38Speaker 1: entire student section for the game that they have tomorrow.
- 8:45Speaker 1: She decided that she was going to make sure that
- 8:50Speaker 1: the young people, which I don't under the student section
- 8:52Speaker 1: typically is always full. I don't know what it was,
- 8:55Speaker 1: just her gift for their attendance. I don't know what
- 8:58Speaker 1: she said was the reason why. It could have been
- 9:01Speaker 1: they've been so great this year of turning out that
- 9:04Speaker 1: she decided to afford them. And and some schools and
- 9:07Speaker 1: colleges you go to you can actually roll your tickets
- 9:11Speaker 1: into your tuition. I didn't. I didn't, but kind of like,
- 9:16Speaker 1: you know, excuse.
- 9:17Speaker 7: Me, no, I said, I didn't know that until I
- 9:20Speaker 7: sent a child to college, we didn't have that.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, it's it's something that you can roll into. Yeah,
- 9:25Speaker 1: Southern miss we didn't have. Well, you got eight student ticket.
- 9:30Speaker 1: One was for each game. Oh, it's at the it's
- 9:35Speaker 1: at l s U like on campus, on campus. Okay,
- 9:39Speaker 1: so yeah, yes, the women typically they play their first round.
- 9:43Speaker 5: Yeah, the first second round or at h.
- 9:46Speaker 6: So that's why I was wondering, because it's an n
- 9:49Speaker 6: c A A section. The actual are the student tickets
- 9:53Speaker 6: something different versus when the post when they turned them
- 9:57Speaker 6: posts it was post seasons.
- 9:59Speaker 1: The price or maybe.
- 10:01Speaker 6: They're not allotted the way they are in the regular season,
- 10:04Speaker 6: was the reason why.
- 10:05Speaker 1: She That's when I was wondering.
- 10:08Speaker 6: That's because the postseason got some kind of different by
- 10:11Speaker 6: laws or how they do it.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Well, that's what I'm saying. It could have been that
- 10:13Speaker 1: the ticket, the situation with the tuition doesn't roll into postseason, right,
- 10:21Speaker 1: So it's just like whatever I pay for the Hawk
- 10:24Speaker 1: seats that I have, that's just for the regular season
- 10:28Speaker 1: in preseason, it's not for the postseason. Postseason is game
- 10:31Speaker 1: by game because they don't know when you're gonna if
- 10:34Speaker 1: you're gonna make it, or how long you're gonna be around.
- 10:38Speaker 1: So that's why I said, I don't know why she
- 10:40Speaker 1: bought it. It could have been they just turned out
- 10:42Speaker 1: so great this year for in support that she wanted
- 10:46Speaker 1: to give them something encouraging. Or maybe they spring break
- 10:50Speaker 1: a lot of coaches. I know, like when I do
- 10:54Speaker 1: football games here in Atlanta and here in the state
- 10:57Speaker 1: of Georgia, they have a lot of teacher breaks, and
- 11:01Speaker 1: at least two weeks of the football season the school
- 11:06Speaker 1: falls on some kind of break, which means that the
- 11:10Speaker 1: students don't come to the game. A lot of times
- 11:14Speaker 1: the parents take them out of town, that kind of thing.
- 11:17Speaker 1: So it could have been one of those things. Spring
- 11:20Speaker 1: break is going on, and she was trying to make
- 11:22Speaker 1: sure who are they playing.
- 11:25Speaker 5: They're playing San Diego State. I can't imagine it's because
- 11:28Speaker 5: they're gonna come too deep.
- 11:30Speaker 1: You know, yeah in San Diego State probably is not
- 11:33Speaker 1: gonna come travel a lot and and shout out in
- 11:36Speaker 1: San Diego State. To have two teams that fault to
- 11:41Speaker 1: be that. I think they mentioned that the other day.
- 11:43Speaker 1: They're the only school with a men's and women's representatives. No, no, no,
- 11:51Speaker 1: that's not no, that couldn't have been. It's a lot
- 11:54Speaker 1: of dual. Yeah, maybe that's their first airlines.
- 12:00Speaker 6: Got both of theirs Auburn now because their Lady Tigers.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Are I don't know. I'm not sure about the Lady Tigers. Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 1: he doesn't, but I know that's typically there's always seven
- 12:11Speaker 1: to eighteen. Yukon definitely always sends both of their teams
- 12:15Speaker 1: to the attorney. But shout out to Kim Molkie. We're
- 12:19Speaker 1: trying to make an impact with the kids and make
- 12:21Speaker 1: sure it's some fans. Yeah, come on, man, come watch.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Nothing attracts people more than free. Yeah, except for spring break.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You know what I mean. We'll pay for spring break.
- 12:32Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 12:36Speaker 8: But it it it.
- 12:46Speaker 9: John Bowl, Wayne Bore of the Sports John Hill with
- 12:49Speaker 9: Wayne Gandy.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Yes, coming up next. I want they're gonna go.
- 12:54Speaker 10: But returning military vets. They've served our country at home

- 15:36Speaker 14: Now it's time to present the jock of the day
- 15:39Speaker 14: on the Sports Jocksh's taken it to a completely different
- 15:42Speaker 14: level this year where we highlight an appolete that has
- 15:45Speaker 14: taken their game to the next level.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Who's counter it? Who's calling it?
- 16:09Speaker 1: What? Wut?
- 16:10Speaker 3: This?
- 16:10Speaker 1: What? Shock? Show up?
- 16:11Speaker 10: This?
- 16:11Speaker 1: What shock? Wayne Gandy? March madness is here. Basically, three
- 16:16Speaker 1: weekends of just all out college basketball is upon us.
- 16:21Speaker 1: In that same time, you will have the NBA season
- 16:24Speaker 1: wind down to the playoffs and at some point we
- 16:28Speaker 1: will stuff Augusta the Masters in there as well, so
- 16:33Speaker 1: big time in sports going on. No live mascots will
- 16:38Speaker 1: be allowed. Typically is not an real issue when you
- 16:41Speaker 1: talk about basketball games. This is mostly for football, but
- 16:46Speaker 1: NCAA wants people to know just like they don't want
- 16:49Speaker 1: you bullying and yelling at players that didn't score the
- 16:55Speaker 1: six points you needed for your gambling a daytion. Uh.
- 17:01Speaker 1: No live mascots for the teams which would only be
- 17:05Speaker 1: the more smaller like the probably the ones that have
- 17:08Speaker 1: dogs or something. Because Bevo can't fit on the sideline
- 17:17Speaker 1: Bevo outside of Austin once. No, I'm just saying he
- 17:20Speaker 1: can't even fit one basket basketball and you know, uggles
- 17:26Speaker 1: do won't even be in there all right because it's
- 17:28Speaker 1: too hot, it's too hot dark. Somebody's followed them around
- 17:34Speaker 1: with that bag, you know. And we definitely can't have
- 17:37Speaker 1: a tiger in an enclosed of basketball arena.
- 17:42Speaker 7: Now get loose a lot of when they talk about
- 17:46Speaker 7: these what interests me in.
- 17:49Speaker 15: This?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Not allowing live mascots? We know it's mostly with football,
- 17:54Speaker 1: rarely with basketball, but they sometimes will or have bought
- 17:58Speaker 1: their live mascots to basketball games. They assert that it's.
- 18:03Speaker 7: Traumatizing the animal animals not comfortable in large crowds, the noise,
- 18:07Speaker 7: things like that. So what about the dogs that chase
- 18:10Speaker 7: frisbees and all of the animals that have for decades?
- 18:14Speaker 7: And I'm not talking about to entertain you and make money.
- 18:17Speaker 7: I'm just out in the park playing with their owner
- 18:20Speaker 7: and chasing a frisbee. It doesn't seem to bother these pets.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Well, it could just be a venue thing. It could
- 18:26Speaker 1: be insurance. Oh, I don't want to have to pay
- 18:29Speaker 1: the extra insurance that the frisbee dog might have its
- 18:32Speaker 1: own insurance. It might be part of their contract. Right
- 18:35Speaker 1: if something happened to your dog catching a frisbee. It's
- 18:38Speaker 1: not on me as an arena bus under your insurance, right.
- 18:41Speaker 7: But if your internet watching cat hurts itself here at
- 18:45Speaker 7: my venue, then we on the.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Hook on top of peda and we don't want to
- 18:50Speaker 1: have all those conversations, you know, and that thing like
- 18:53Speaker 1: that where you try to vilify us for letting somebody
- 18:56Speaker 1: bring cat killers. Iowa basketball. Have you seen any Iowa's
- 19:04Speaker 1: women's basketball this year? No? No, bavitor, No, And that
- 19:14Speaker 1: right there in itself less, you know, the Caitlyn Clark effect.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I was sitting there the other night looking at the
- 19:18Speaker 1: tourney and watch people go in Iowa bare they kind
- 19:21Speaker 1: of got in. They want enough to make the tournament.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But I was realizing after watching about fifteen games last year, well,
- 19:32Speaker 1: I mean two years ago when she was at Iowa,
- 19:36Speaker 1: I watched no Iowa game this year.
- 19:39Speaker 7: Now, Now do you think and this is We've seen
- 19:43Speaker 7: all kinds of athletes come out to make claims of
- 19:45Speaker 7: not receiving their rightful.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Recognition.
- 19:51Speaker 7: We've seen people tell stuff that you know, we thought
- 19:54Speaker 7: they should have kept to themselves.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Would she be wrong for coming out?
- 19:57Speaker 10: Now?
- 19:58Speaker 1: Like I told you with you, it was all about me.
- 20:02Speaker 7: Would she be wrong for telling them I am women's
- 20:06Speaker 7: basketball and demanding so much of what she could be
- 20:12Speaker 7: garnering from this experience.
- 20:15Speaker 1: No. Unfortunately, the Caitlin Clarks of the world, just like
- 20:21Speaker 1: the Lebron James of the world and any kind of
- 20:25Speaker 1: real modern athlete, they can only go out and get
- 20:32Speaker 1: their money and make you feel good about yourself. Anything
- 20:42Speaker 1: other than that, we clown them. If they give then
- 20:50Speaker 1: we talked about how they didn't give enough. Right. If
- 20:54Speaker 1: they show support to a friend, then it's based on
- 20:57Speaker 1: the friend because they're supposed to cancel all their friends
- 21:01Speaker 1: that you don't like. Okay, Okay, they understand that concept.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you don't like it since you don't like
- 21:08Speaker 1: Chris Brown and Chris Brown, don't say his name. I'm
- 21:12Speaker 1: gonna say his name, Chris. You can't say his name
- 21:15Speaker 1: since you side nest. If you says you don't like
- 21:18Speaker 1: Chris Brown and you don't like whatever a person that
- 21:22Speaker 1: comes by, then I'm not supposed to be their friend anymore.
- 21:26Speaker 1: That's where the Caitlin Clark so she there's nothing she
- 21:31Speaker 1: can do, but really, and I think that's what she
- 21:35Speaker 1: adheres to. Keeps quiet. She can't have a political candidate, right,
- 21:43Speaker 1: because then that's wrong. She can't fell away about things
- 21:46Speaker 1: affecting the world. She can't have she is no longer
- 21:50Speaker 1: allowed to actually be human, all based upon that she
- 21:56Speaker 1: can score thirty points a game. Now, that's all it is.
- 22:00Speaker 1: She hasn't come up with a new heart procedure or
- 22:02Speaker 1: how to get rid of Alzheimer's and things like that,
- 22:05Speaker 1: just because she can just go thirty points a game,
- 22:07Speaker 1: because that's and I think that's where young men as
- 22:10Speaker 1: we be discussing in the NBA, and those guys don't
- 22:13Speaker 1: want to be the face because they see what Lebron
- 22:19Speaker 1: and Steph Curry and those guys have gone through in
- 22:23Speaker 1: the time, right. I think that's what the defiance of KD. Yeah, man,
- 22:28Speaker 1: I have slapped Stephen A. Smith. You just whispering you
- 22:32Speaker 1: over there, whish being that is here. I would have
- 22:34Speaker 1: slapped me to say that about my mind. No, man,
- 22:37Speaker 1: you know you gotta you gotta protect your brand and
- 22:39Speaker 1: sometimes you gotta when they go low, we go what
- 22:42Speaker 1: No slapping swing on him now, I was just looking
- 22:47Speaker 1: at the numbers.
- 22:47Speaker 6: They basically said that it hadn't changed. Said they basically
- 22:51Speaker 6: the stayed up. You had to viewership. And the only
- 22:55Speaker 6: controversy so far is like South Carolina didn't get a
- 22:58Speaker 6: number one seed, but the four teams that did, they
- 23:00Speaker 6: stayed at the top of the pole all season. But
- 23:03Speaker 6: they're they're saying that they're expecting the s c AA
- 23:06Speaker 6: women's tournament to have more viewers than the man again
- 23:09Speaker 6: this year.
- 23:09Speaker 1: I think when you we talked about that, you heard
- 23:13Speaker 1: a whole other conversation. I was. I was wondering. We
- 23:17Speaker 1: didn't say the viewership of the n c Double A
- 23:19Speaker 1: went down. We asked about Iowa basketball. No, but I'm
- 23:23Speaker 1: just going forward about the tournament. Now talked about the tournament,
- 23:28Speaker 1: but we hadn't even got about the tournament. You were
- 23:31Speaker 1: trying to prove that Caitlyn Clark didn't have a real effect,
- 23:35Speaker 1: and I didn't. I didn't say about the tournament. I
- 23:39Speaker 1: asked you, did you watch an Iowa basketball game? And
- 23:42Speaker 1: he said, no, I'm just going it. I didn't even
- 23:46Speaker 1: say Iowa basketball viewership was down. No, I said, we
- 23:53Speaker 1: didn't see Clark wasn't there. He said, he just going forward.
- 23:57Speaker 1: You trying to tour the White House? He all over
- 23:59Speaker 1: to Civil Rights Museum. So I watched a lot of
- 24:05Speaker 1: women's basketball. I didn't watch Iowa, which is specifically what
- 24:11Speaker 1: we would would specifically what we were talking about. Watch it.
- 24:15Speaker 1: We'll be back more sports. Put that down count that
- 24:21Speaker 1: we don't have to. He's right at home. I keep
- 24:28Speaker 1: that beat right over, I keep that get right up,
- 24:30Speaker 1: back at up. Should shoot at me a cool he
- 24:35Speaker 1: mean one time? I'm a stunt purple league and I'm
- 24:38Speaker 1: a good heart heart and brain who's with me?
- 24:43Speaker 4: Good thing is he knows when he's buzzed, and my
- 24:45Speaker 4: brain is saying when it's time to go home, somebody
- 24:48Speaker 4: call me a ride.
- 24:49Speaker 15: Love that guy me to know your buzzed warning signs,
- 24:53Speaker 15: call for a ride when it's time to go home.

- 27:13Speaker 3: And three Arson and you replaced.
- 27:16Speaker 1: See I really been popping up. Now another level you
- 27:19Speaker 1: play against in the bill. Welcome back to this sport
- 27:21Speaker 1: shock shot. I'm the sports shocking Candy big X the
- 27:26Speaker 1: Plug coming through right there from he was, he was surprised,
- 27:34Speaker 1: surprised that you do, you know, current music put that
- 27:41Speaker 1: down too. Fun underestimated me and you say when we
- 27:49Speaker 1: got we got three bars the bell Big the Plug
- 27:53Speaker 1: on the show like a couple of weeks ago. I
- 27:55Speaker 1: had pacifically played big as.
- 28:02Speaker 17: I know.
- 28:02Speaker 6: But what I'm saying, that song right there is one
- 28:05Speaker 6: of the few that, yeah, that's an album cut, but
- 28:08Speaker 6: it's nice though. It's a good one, he said.
- 28:11Speaker 7: It's an album cut, like what would it be from
- 28:14Speaker 7: if it were.
- 28:16Speaker 1: It would be because you know how it goes.
- 28:18Speaker 6: They have singles that they designate, but then you have
- 28:21Speaker 6: an album cut. Every once in a while, the fans
- 28:24Speaker 6: take two and then it makes it. It'll take off.
- 28:27Speaker 6: Like the song though For example, Uh Joe Jo and
- 28:32Speaker 6: Case their album years ago, that one time they were
- 28:34Speaker 6: about to give up radio. Everybody was going to give
- 28:36Speaker 6: up on that album, but that song all My Life
- 28:40Speaker 6: Radio DJ just started playing because he felt he liked
- 28:43Speaker 6: it and started catching on with other people, and that
- 28:45Speaker 6: pick helped pick that album up. So a lot of
- 28:47Speaker 6: times you have album cuts.
- 28:50Speaker 7: Versus you jumped ahead again, didn't you up? You jumped
- 28:54Speaker 7: ahead like you was doing early, Like you said, I
- 28:56Speaker 7: just moved ahead like I don't.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Thinking something four cloud coverage and that don't make no
- 29:08Speaker 1: more sense than what he said, and we all will
- 29:12Speaker 1: do that when he that's maybe that will help. When
- 29:16Speaker 1: he just say random stuff, you'll interject your own random stuff.
- 29:21Speaker 1: People ask me how I call games. I say what
- 29:23Speaker 1: I do is I don't try to get intricate. I
- 29:26Speaker 1: try not to take what somebody doesn't know. You'll watch
- 29:30Speaker 1: games and people want to specifically tell you this thing,
- 29:33Speaker 1: and nobody knows what you're saying. That doesn't play football,
- 29:39Speaker 1: So why mention it? So album cut? This cut? That
- 29:44Speaker 1: cut studio made that they released the single so that
- 29:50Speaker 1: they can put but you know that's a plug. I
- 29:55Speaker 1: had some friends in the car young man was in.
- 29:57Speaker 1: He's from Texas. We went to talking about the plug.
- 30:01Speaker 1: I told him I he heard a couple of tracks,
- 30:03Speaker 1: I said, he put me more in the mind of
- 30:06Speaker 1: from my time, more of like a scarface where he
- 30:09Speaker 1: had the voice in that kind of And I played
- 30:12Speaker 1: him he had never heard the scarface. He's only twenty three.
- 30:16Speaker 1: He had heard the name, he had heard the songs.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I put on a couple of that and he could
- 30:19Speaker 1: see how so basically as I said, put that down
- 30:23Speaker 1: because he just thinks that he has a view. No,
- 30:27Speaker 1: I said, rock to Bell just because he thought I
- 30:30Speaker 1: didn't catch that. I said, I keep mine on Rock
- 30:32Speaker 1: to Bell because it's more neutral for anyone that gets
- 30:35Speaker 1: in the car most like whatever, if I can listen
- 30:39Speaker 1: to some hip hop that most likely is going to
- 30:41Speaker 1: be more pop. The song they're gonna play are more
- 30:44Speaker 1: on the pop level than the other stations where it
- 30:48Speaker 1: started off with Booty Brown and all that.
- 30:50Speaker 7: Crazy and now and now we're writing stuff down. I'm
- 30:53Speaker 7: on my third page.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Yeah. So Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan Racing having some issues
- 30:58Speaker 1: with NASCAR, not completely uh, in tune to the story.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I do see that at some point the MJ is
- 31:07Speaker 1: feeling like they're getting personal. NASCAR has called his racing
- 31:12Speaker 1: team that he has with Denny Hamlin that they are
- 31:15Speaker 1: part of some cartel. That's what made my eyes. You
- 31:18Speaker 1: start talking about illegal cartales and I start thinking alphabet
- 31:25Speaker 1: people start I'm saying now, I'm saying now, also, that's
- 31:30Speaker 1: that's a that's a LIABLEUS slanderous claim if you can't
- 31:36Speaker 1: prove it. So where is this gonna go? I'm saying
- 31:40Speaker 1: that neither tonight. Denny Hamlin was well established in racing
- 31:44Speaker 1: before they have their own race team, and we've known
- 31:48Speaker 1: Mike to be out on the track and been part
- 31:50Speaker 1: of NASCAR for a while. Denny Hamlin as you as
- 31:53Speaker 1: you said, not just an owner but a racer. Yeah
- 31:56Speaker 1: as well. And I kind of seen the story but
- 31:59Speaker 1: a couple of days ago and say illegal cartoons. It
- 32:02Speaker 1: just an illegal cartoon because we don't need no investors.
- 32:06Speaker 1: We ain't lundering nothing over there.
- 32:08Speaker 13: I was.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I ain't standing the judgment because of money. We know
- 32:15Speaker 1: we did not lined it a little bit and Mike,
- 32:19Speaker 1: Mike came out with a statement wanting NASCAR basically, hey man,
- 32:25Speaker 1: see watch it, watch your mouth. I told you now
- 32:28Speaker 1: we got mad at Lebrun. I told you Stephan and
- 32:30Speaker 1: stephen A. I told you mj Hey, Now it's lining
- 32:35Speaker 1: on waiting. Now I'm only gonna take a little bit
- 32:37Speaker 1: now that cocaine in my truck is alleged. Y'all College
- 32:45Speaker 1: season two of your two of your favorite subjects is
- 32:47Speaker 1: NASCAR and Michael Jordan. Had you heard about this, Yes,
- 32:51Speaker 1: but it's just trying to let it bubble.
- 32:54Speaker 6: But as as as you like to say, this anti
- 32:58Speaker 6: trust thing is what's when I'm still stuck old, I
- 33:01Speaker 6: mean trying to figure out where's the anti trust? But
- 33:04Speaker 6: when you hear like I said, you heard the cartel things,
- 33:06Speaker 6: and then now everybody is like in the in the
- 33:08Speaker 6: up in that region. Well, you know, Michael had to
- 33:10Speaker 6: sell the team because he had a gambling debt. So
- 33:12Speaker 6: it's always some other things that's coming along behind it
- 33:16Speaker 6: because he is now all this is coming out saying, well,
- 33:19Speaker 6: he sold the team because he owes some debts and
- 33:22Speaker 6: now he's trying to sue NASCAR to recoup that. It's
- 33:25Speaker 6: so you just gotta wait right now and see. But
- 33:27Speaker 6: like you said, Denny Hamlin was already established. He's already
- 33:31Speaker 6: been who he was in NASCAR. He partnered with Michael Jordan.
- 33:36Speaker 6: They have Bubba Wallace and himself and a couple of
- 33:39Speaker 6: other drivers. But I don't know, it's it's weird to me.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Well we as this, we let it air out, not
- 33:48Speaker 1: bubble and let it breathe.
- 33:51Speaker 7: I was gonna say, he says, you always say that,
- 33:54Speaker 7: let it bubble. I was gonna say, he never say that.
- 33:56Speaker 7: I just wrote it.
- 33:57Speaker 1: I just wrote it down, and bye, you write that downe.
- 34:07Speaker 1: But we will see where this goes with mj. And
- 34:11Speaker 1: you know, it's a it's a world that has been
- 34:13Speaker 1: sometimes I would imagine with any situation that you get
- 34:17Speaker 1: in from more of the outside in. There's part of it.
- 34:21Speaker 1: I think even sometimes in our political realm, you have
- 34:26Speaker 1: good natured people that don't know how bad of a
- 34:29Speaker 1: cesspool they're actually fighting to get in and and not
- 34:35Speaker 1: when I and let me say that in the right way,
- 34:36Speaker 1: not cess pool necessarily uh that they're doing unlawful things,
- 34:43Speaker 1: but the way in which they go about business. You
- 34:46Speaker 1: got your view from the outside of it, and then
- 34:49Speaker 1: you get in and realize that do none of the
- 34:52Speaker 1: owners talk right? Right? And you've been for years looking
- 34:56Speaker 1: at them, No they had the owners meeting and ship. No,
- 34:59Speaker 1: they're just putting on you know. They just now one
- 35:04Speaker 1: of the things I think is interesting. Uh.
- 35:08Speaker 7: On one side, like I said, it's libelous and slanderous,
- 35:11Speaker 7: and I can sue you for that without any proof.
- 35:14Speaker 7: But if you come up with some proof of some
- 35:17Speaker 7: antitrust cartail stuff, I go to prison. And so could
- 35:22Speaker 7: Mike and Denny Hamlin possibly be facing prison time.
- 35:29Speaker 1: That is is I don't know the lawsuit, so I'm
- 35:31Speaker 1: kind of That's why I haven't really touched on. I
- 35:33Speaker 1: get gotta get more updated. I did see just where
- 35:38Speaker 1: Michael Jordan was warning NASCAR they were going after one
- 35:43Speaker 1: of his employees, Curtis Poke, and Mike uh said. He
- 35:48Speaker 1: was standing beside Curtis, and if you're coming for Curtis,
- 35:51Speaker 1: you're coming for for me. So he know Curtis ain't
- 35:57Speaker 1: gonna talk. That's Curtis already said, ten toes down, go
- 36:03Speaker 1: do my time, keep my books straight. He saw. He Now,
- 36:06Speaker 1: now I'm gonna tell you something, Mike. I don't seen
- 36:09Speaker 1: that kind of trust get portrayed. I don't seen folks
- 36:11Speaker 1: be like, man, my boy won't talk, and they boy
- 36:14Speaker 1: get up and there and then mon't stop talking. And
- 36:16Speaker 1: I'm quite sure Mike is famous and you know, arguably
- 36:21Speaker 1: between him and Ali for from our country, because you
- 36:24Speaker 1: can't say that based on other people's country. Two most
- 36:28Speaker 1: popular sports stars up there with Babe Brew with you know,
- 36:33Speaker 1: names of legends that seem like they're still on the corridor,
- 36:36Speaker 1: still on the field, right. Uh. Some of these owners
- 36:39Speaker 1: probably wanted Mike to come on with them, and he
- 36:42Speaker 1: went in another direction, so he started instead. Yes, and
- 36:46Speaker 1: that business does cartel just means successful. We don't need donors,
- 36:51Speaker 1: we don't need sponsors outside money. We can do this ourselves.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Now that's a cartel, and you.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Never know they might be these people have something out
- 37:00Speaker 6: for mister pope and this is their chance to really
- 37:03Speaker 6: come at Michael Jordan's pope. They've been trying to get
- 37:06Speaker 6: him for a while and they're like, he didn't have
- 37:08Speaker 6: any money. How's he's doing this because he's the co owner.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And then Mike could have been bucking the system of
- 37:14Speaker 1: how I've read, that's what it looks of what they wanted,
- 37:17Speaker 1: you know, and old establishment in any kind of competition
- 37:24Speaker 1: you see, has always met with you know, we want
- 37:28Speaker 1: to do it on this kind of grill. This ain't basketball, son,
- 37:34Speaker 1: it's nice cat. I don't know what they do out
- 37:37Speaker 1: there with the human and dunking, but this is all
- 37:41Speaker 1: about the square oval. And that's what I'm saying, is
- 37:47Speaker 1: I think that's just how humans are wired. Yeah, if
- 37:51Speaker 1: you come in and try to simulate like we are,
- 37:54Speaker 1: we're more welcoming than you coming in acting like you
- 37:58Speaker 1: invented the new wheel, right, you know. So we will
- 38:02Speaker 1: see how this goes for Mike Illegal Carteil. Mike didn't
- 38:06Speaker 1: like that said.
- 38:08Speaker 7: Oh, and what it says is they claim that twenty
- 38:11Speaker 7: three is that eleven twenty three eleven. That's polk is
- 38:18Speaker 7: representing all teams in negotiations, coordinating their conduct and threatening
- 38:23Speaker 7: teams that considered leaving the conspiracy and interfering and negatively
- 38:30Speaker 7: affecting NASCAR's attempts to renew its media rights. Oh so
- 38:35Speaker 7: they're trying to unionize.
- 38:38Speaker 1: That's what makes them cartael Okay, I see, I see
- 38:42Speaker 1: that is.
- 38:50Speaker 18: Sticky, steady, steaky.

- 41:32Speaker 22: Say you can see the sports chaint I'll sing even Beck, Janny, welcome.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Back to the show. I'm the sports shock. Wayne Candy,
- 41:41Speaker 1: good morning to you. We left talking about our man
- 41:46Speaker 1: Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin and their twenty three eleven
- 41:51Speaker 1: race team at butting heads with NASCAR right now, anti trust,
- 41:58Speaker 1: the illegal car tail. These are some of the words
- 42:00Speaker 1: that are being around. I mayan hala like ant trust
- 42:07Speaker 1: and contail and I just keep getting anxiety right now
- 42:12Speaker 1: some of those words that sounds like you need a
- 42:14Speaker 1: lawyer when they start mentioning those kind of terms.
- 42:18Speaker 23: Uh.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Someone who's had a lawyer here the last couple of
- 42:21Speaker 1: years is Marcus Jordan, Michael's son, now Marcus who was
- 42:29Speaker 1: recently arrested, uh for the UI. He's admitting to substance
- 42:36Speaker 1: abuse issues. Now, Big Kenny Kamanchi, Greg Bad Producer. Is
- 42:41Speaker 1: this just one of those ploys that people that get arrested,
- 42:48Speaker 1: yous to play on the sympathy of the court in
- 42:52Speaker 1: that a path that people in those situations.
- 42:58Speaker 7: Lawyers call it putting a human face on the defendant.
- 43:04Speaker 7: I'm humanized. I'm just a man. I'm just a man,
- 43:07Speaker 7: a flawed man. I'm a flawed No, I'm not just
- 43:10Speaker 7: a flawed man. I'm a flawed man who's accepted responsibility,
- 43:16Speaker 7: the one of the twelve step progress.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Come on now, the first key to solving the problem
- 43:25Speaker 1: is that we got one. So look, look, it ain't
- 43:28Speaker 1: you me, and you know what I'm gonna do. You
- 43:33Speaker 1: know what I'm gonna do. We ain't got to send
- 43:34Speaker 1: me to jail. You're a matter of fact that that's
- 43:36Speaker 1: for criminals. I'm just a man. I wonder we gonna
- 43:39Speaker 1: get me some help. That's what now. We ain't gonna
- 43:42Speaker 1: get me no help, take accountability. I'm gonna volunteer to
- 43:46Speaker 1: get myself on this last help. I don't need to
- 43:50Speaker 1: get no judge don't know. You can stay home, sir, No, no, no, no,
- 43:55Speaker 1: no worry about this, nor that that.
- 43:57Speaker 7: That space already crowded. That Let the taxpayers. Look, this
- 44:02Speaker 7: is non violent.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Let the tax pay us off the hook for that
- 44:06Speaker 1: little bit of time. I'm gonna go. I'm going and
- 44:09Speaker 1: stay at home. Put the put the ankle, monitor own.
- 44:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna just I reduced the eleven months down to
- 44:16Speaker 1: ninety days. I just do that at the house. Just
- 44:19Speaker 1: put the ankle and go to recovery. Go to the
- 44:22Speaker 1: twel step bro twelve. I'm already on step number two.
- 44:28Speaker 1: I proact about it somebody else. Recently we reported that
- 44:31Speaker 1: already joined, they had even got the court first active. Yeah,
- 44:38Speaker 1: I know what the problem is, I just been denying it.
- 44:41Speaker 6: Well, I thought that they said this recent one when
- 44:44Speaker 6: they tested whatever the substance was, it wasn't cocaine or anything,
- 44:49Speaker 6: but he.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Well he was. He was arrested for that possession of canamine. Yeah,
- 44:54Speaker 1: driving under the influence, yes.
- 44:55Speaker 6: And so with what you said, he's trying to get
- 44:58Speaker 6: ahead of the out of the p problem or whatever.
- 45:01Speaker 6: I mean, doesn't that does look good to the judge
- 45:03Speaker 6: and everyone else. The DA's if you when you do that, Yeah,
- 45:07Speaker 6: I'm saying, if.
- 45:09Speaker 1: You're joined into the conversation, the whole conversation is being
- 45:13Speaker 1: how people do this to getting this is the common
- 45:16Speaker 1: to skirt thee But I'm just letting asking Kenny though.
- 45:20Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I mean, what's I mean. I think
- 45:23Speaker 1: it's a good excuse me, sir, I'm saying, in the
- 45:26Speaker 1: business of crime in punishment, in the Deer, in the
- 45:29Speaker 1: business of crime and punishment, Marcus Jordan committed the crime
- 45:34Speaker 1: this these steps in an effort to not have to
- 45:40Speaker 1: account in the punishment department. Most people who get caught
- 45:45Speaker 1: with kidd amine while they stuck in their car on
- 45:51Speaker 1: a railroad track just go to jail. They just go
- 45:53Speaker 1: to jail, regardless of what kind of problems they got,
- 45:56Speaker 1: they just go to jail. But when you can you
- 46:00Speaker 1: humanize yourself and you tell them and you use where
- 46:03Speaker 1: it's like, I no malicious intent, and you take you
- 46:08Speaker 1: take the path where you're really not actually accepting and
- 46:12Speaker 1: trying to change. You're just using a ploy to get
- 46:15Speaker 1: out of jail time every time, a lot of times
- 46:18Speaker 1: when you but when you read it, I admit to
- 46:23Speaker 1: substance abuse. If you don't know better. People take that
- 46:28Speaker 1: and be like, oh, he's changed, But that doesn't he's
- 46:33Speaker 1: just using this age old way of don't punish me, judge.
- 46:38Speaker 1: It wasn't really me fault. I had that stuff on me,
- 46:41Speaker 1: but I had it on me to support my habit,
- 46:44Speaker 1: which has a grip on me. And I'm forced to
- 46:48Speaker 1: deal in this world just to support this gripp. I
- 46:54Speaker 1: just doing all this jet saiding and all these beautiful women.
- 46:59Speaker 1: I didn't need somebody, that is, I just need somebody
- 47:02Speaker 1: to talk to. Yes, if you ain't never lived it,
- 47:05Speaker 1: you can't imagine. Yeah, that's the problem. You can't imagine, yo.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Know you ain't never walked that broad But you know
- 47:12Speaker 1: what I'm saying. You ever you ever drove a Lamborghini
- 47:15Speaker 1: orders exactly? That's my that's my point, y'all don't know
- 47:18Speaker 1: what it's like, Marcus. Let's hope this works out. Work,
- 47:22Speaker 1: it'll work. That's America Cup at thirty four years old
- 47:26Speaker 1: and plenty of life ahead of you. Hopefully this doesn't
- 47:29Speaker 1: fall on the record where you can't do something. But
- 47:31Speaker 1: I don't. I would like to know what the ketamine. Hey, hey, listen,
- 47:35Speaker 1: trust doing in the car? Trust me, Marcus, don't don't
- 47:38Speaker 1: tell him. Let the lawyers explain that, because when we
- 47:41Speaker 1: go to talking is when we mess it up and
- 47:44Speaker 1: it'll work. Does America trust somebody that know it'll work.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Tracy Morgan at the NIXT game the other night, throwing
- 47:50Speaker 1: up on the court City food forising, But it wasn't
- 47:55Speaker 1: the arena food from what I was reading, maybe something
- 47:58Speaker 1: he had heard had earlier. But something about Tracy, he
- 48:03Speaker 1: seems to be a poor of health guy. A lot
- 48:07Speaker 1: of his stories always center around struggles with health.
- 48:11Speaker 7: With some kind of health issue he had. I think
- 48:15Speaker 7: a kidney transplant not long ago.
- 48:19Speaker 1: He's yeah, I'm saying, is something medical or is in
- 48:22Speaker 1: some accident?
- 48:24Speaker 7: You know, when he had that accident, I wonder if
- 48:26Speaker 7: anything we had brain damage from it.
- 48:28Speaker 6: Yeah, and then and the caused effect of a lot
- 48:30Speaker 6: of other things come along with that.
- 48:33Speaker 7: I know he had diabetes as well, and now a
- 48:38Speaker 7: lot of any one of the issues that Tracy has
- 48:42Speaker 7: had can cause ongoing complications. But to have those issues
- 48:48Speaker 7: combined is a day to day thing. And then you've
- 48:52Speaker 7: got to be far more mindful about your health and
- 48:54Speaker 7: how you maintain it.
- 48:56Speaker 1: When and something like food bois and you were feeling
- 48:58Speaker 1: that before you got your See, you just thought you
- 49:02Speaker 1: was gonna make it through the game. You thought, Yeah,
- 49:05Speaker 1: you thought you you thought, Man, that stuff told my stomach, Yeah,
- 49:09Speaker 1: you thought I was, you know, past gas a little
- 49:12Speaker 1: bit right. And while I'm sitting out but I'm on
- 49:14Speaker 1: the front row. Ain't nobody really gonna feel it but
- 49:17Speaker 1: the team? And then all of a sudden, howd on
- 49:20Speaker 1: I don't feel well, it's not gonna out, It's not
- 49:23Speaker 1: gonna out. Do this marijuana smell that on my clothes?
- 49:26Speaker 1: So well, uh, allegedly we'll be back more to Sports
- 49:34Speaker 1: Show right after this. Because it's my mama stated in
- 49:37Speaker 1: them with barness. Regardless, my daddy told me to keep
- 49:40Speaker 1: the hitt even when I'm in borns. I'm hordless because
- 49:43Speaker 1: Jesus I ain't knowing me just because I'm the biggest,
- 49:46Speaker 1: the largest, the biggest. The Lord Candy John.

- 50:01Speaker 12: for a neighbor going through a tough time. Most people
- 50:04Speaker 12: around here help out friends and family when they need it.
- 50:07Speaker 12: But the funny thing is most of us won't look
- 50:09Speaker 12: for help when we need it. Talk to someone if

- 51:47Speaker 1: And now back to the sports Job Wayne Gandy.
- 51:52Speaker 25: Center court on sports News gossip blah blah blah blah.
- 52:05Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. Wait a minute, Giddy,
- 52:16Speaker 1: how you live it? Ten chosen? When we're standing there
- 52:19Speaker 1: and Benni's welcome back to the Sports Shop Show. I'm
- 52:22Speaker 1: the sports shock Huayne again. Is that Jello and Lou
- 52:27Speaker 1: Wayne song right there? What do you want to do? Okay?
- 52:30Speaker 1: Because I saw Jello on something else. I said, y'all,
- 52:32Speaker 1: don't let he's got a new song. You got, y'all
- 52:35Speaker 1: let Yellow take over music. Hey, we knew Jello was
- 52:39Speaker 1: that when y'all to say something, Hold on the bowl
- 52:44Speaker 1: of Brand. I've been telling y'all about the ball of
- 52:47Speaker 1: brand that my boy takeover. Little listen to me.
- 52:51Speaker 6: But Kenny when he got caught in Japan, when they
- 52:53Speaker 6: got caught doing that right there, He's like, Okay, now
- 52:58Speaker 6: you can see it. He's a raper.
- 52:59Speaker 1: We've been caught in the foreign country. Am I right?
- 53:02Speaker 1: I don't I don't understand that the correlation between getting
- 53:06Speaker 1: caught in Japan and Le Angelo becoming y'all explained that
- 53:13Speaker 1: government government, we was out there thugging.
- 53:17Speaker 6: He's supposed to be not playing basketball, and you know
- 53:19Speaker 6: it got caught up.
- 53:20Speaker 1: I don't even remember that. Okay, stealing is now consumers stugging.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Seven years ago, I didn't know this stealing from the
- 53:30Speaker 1: Louis Vatan store was s thugging. I thought that was
- 53:33Speaker 1: just shoplifting. Shoplifting. Now that's felony shopping. It's not just
- 53:40Speaker 1: shot putting that down. Shoplifting shoplifting. Yeah, this guy just
- 53:48Speaker 1: being putting stuff. You boy, you are a state witness.
- 53:53Speaker 1: I'm telling the Angelo ball part of the Ball brothers
- 53:58Speaker 1: who I always felt like the biggest mistake was trying
- 54:02Speaker 1: to leave early. He didn't have the skill set, I
- 54:05Speaker 1: do believe. I think there's plenty of players. I always
- 54:08Speaker 1: say Marcus t was steph brother set. It would have
- 54:15Speaker 1: been a better player if he just went all four years.
- 54:19Speaker 1: But LaMelo, I mean Leangelo trying to jump and keep
- 54:24Speaker 1: with his daddy's mindset. I think that pressure of him
- 54:27Speaker 1: feeling that instead of just developing at his pace, I
- 54:32Speaker 1: think he would have still been in the NBA today
- 54:35Speaker 1: if he had just stayed the full four years and
- 54:37Speaker 1: played basketball.
- 54:38Speaker 5: If he were if they went the path of like
- 54:41Speaker 5: transferring because he got kicked off the team at.
- 54:44Speaker 1: U c l A after that incident. No, I don't
- 54:47Speaker 1: care where you go to play. But I mean, he
- 54:50Speaker 1: just was not a one in Donner if he went
- 54:52Speaker 1: to school. I'm saying he wasn't a one in Donner
- 54:55Speaker 1: or two in Donner or a three in Donner. He
- 54:58Speaker 1: was a guy that if he stayed his whole for
- 54:59Speaker 1: year years, he would have been an NBA player. But
- 55:04Speaker 1: I see a lot of that with some guys. It's
- 55:06Speaker 1: like they leave early and then they go disappearing. You
- 55:10Speaker 1: never heard from him again. In that kind of way.
- 55:14Speaker 5: There's also a weird like pressure of if someone does stay,
- 55:19Speaker 5: like the story came out a few weeks ago with
- 55:21Speaker 5: Cooper Flag if he's gonna stay for another year at
- 55:24Speaker 5: Duke and they're like, well, he's.
- 55:25Speaker 1: Gonna cost himself four hundred.
- 55:27Speaker 5: Million dollars, And it was skewed because that just means
- 55:31Speaker 5: he would get that contract a year later than normal
- 55:35Speaker 5: by just staying another year. So should have stayed his
- 55:41Speaker 5: whole time, stay, we always say, And he went on
- 55:48Speaker 5: to play like eight nine years in the league, but
- 55:51Speaker 5: he still would have been a better player if he
- 55:55Speaker 5: has stayed longer.
- 55:56Speaker 7: I've always projected onto people that when they say feel
- 56:02Speaker 7: pressure to leave, that pressure comes from outside entity, some coach,
- 56:09Speaker 7: some agent, some family members saying that. But do you
- 56:13Speaker 7: think that some of this pressure is just the pressure
- 56:17Speaker 7: to feel like you're in the conversation with everyone else?
- 56:22Speaker 7: This dude's the one and done, and he's the one
- 56:25Speaker 7: and done and where we played in the same high
- 56:28Speaker 7: school league. So why I got to play more than
- 56:31Speaker 7: three years? They say I'm pretty good, but you know
- 56:36Speaker 7: I'm not. And some of them money is that's the
- 56:40Speaker 7: driving for Okay, I can agree with that. I mean
- 56:44Speaker 7: money has made me do some things that it directs
- 56:49Speaker 7: and it confuses people. I can get to the money tomorrow.
- 56:54Speaker 7: It's a hard thing that you have to fight the temptation.
- 57:00Speaker 7: You can put yourself on the path. And I tell
- 57:01Speaker 7: a lot of young athletes, sure, but if the school
- 57:06Speaker 7: that you need to go to that really fits who
- 57:08Speaker 7: you is, who are, it's just saying they'll give you
- 57:14Speaker 7: one hundred thousand.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Dollars less go to that school. Yeah, but it'll be
- 57:19Speaker 1: most likely will work out better. Yeah, but you get
- 57:23Speaker 1: the extra hundred thousand, and then everything falters by twenty two.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Then you never really saw the real gravy.
- 57:31Speaker 7: Train and sports John, I think that I used to
- 57:35Speaker 7: hear all of these adages like youth is wasted on
- 57:38Speaker 7: the young and stuff like that. That perspective that you
- 57:41Speaker 7: just gave us, I honestly believe is rooted in life experience.
- 57:48Speaker 7: And at the time that these kids are facing these decisions,
- 57:52Speaker 7: they don't have enough experience to realize that not taking
- 57:56Speaker 7: one hundred thousand. Now all they see is I got
- 58:00Speaker 7: fourteen dollars and these people telling me they can give
- 58:03Speaker 7: me two hundred racks.
- 58:05Speaker 1: Now I just want one. No, I'm fin to run
- 58:09Speaker 1: up my bag as big as I can do. But
- 58:12Speaker 1: when you're making that decision, it's typically coming from a
- 58:15Speaker 1: room full of people, not just that eighteen nineteen year old. Yeah,
- 58:19Speaker 1: and that's what I'm saying. It's a mother, uncle, brother, cousin, agent,
- 58:24Speaker 1: someone else that is not fighting you on that issue.
- 58:28Speaker 1: And most of those people are counting their percentages of
- 58:31Speaker 1: that money, so they're not going to say either no, no, no,
- 58:34Speaker 1: take the less as money.
- 58:36Speaker 6: As a fan of college basketball, and love and college basketball.
- 58:40Speaker 6: I love the fact that it's big complaints because Auburn
- 58:44Speaker 6: and Rick Patino and a couple people say they're not
- 58:47Speaker 6: they're getting older guys and they're keeping their seniors and
- 58:50Speaker 6: juniors around me. I love to see Cooper Flag stay
- 58:53Speaker 6: for two or three just to watch him try to
- 58:55Speaker 6: go after records in the ACC and Douke because he's
- 58:58Speaker 6: that type of he's.
- 58:59Speaker 1: A great player.
- 59:00Speaker 6: And it's lost because so they're chasing, like you said,
- 59:03Speaker 6: they're chasing the bag and the money instead of like
- 59:07Speaker 6: the things that the ACC where he's the history. That's
- 59:11Speaker 6: that Duke and he can change and rewrite some history
- 59:14Speaker 6: if he just stick around in their record books. So,
- 59:17Speaker 6: but you know, the people, when they dangle that carriage
- 59:19Speaker 6: in front of them, it's tough. But as a fan
- 59:22Speaker 6: of college basketball, I would love to see the guys
- 59:25Speaker 6: stay much longer.
- 59:27Speaker 1: Well, I'm not even talking about changing records. I'm talking
- 59:30Speaker 1: about developing your game so when you get to where
- 59:33Speaker 1: you going, you're closer to being there and you can stay. Yes,
- 59:39Speaker 1: it's ton Every year there's thirty people drafting in the
- 59:42Speaker 1: first round, and twenty eight of them you never remember.
- 59:50Speaker 1: They're just sitting on the bench and one day you
- 59:51Speaker 1: just happened to Google and it's like he was the
- 59:53Speaker 1: twelfth pick and you can't remember nothing about the young man.
- 59:58Speaker 1: All ye say most of that is because his game
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: really wasn't ready. The NBA is not about to stop. Yeah,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Like it'd be three years later and they'd be like
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: former Atlanta Hawk and you'd be like, wasn't he drafted
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: three years ago? We'll be back more to Sports Jock
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Show right after this. Forget to look at my accomplishments.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Let's check out my style as stunishing. Check out my
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: styleis stnish it? Yeah, and was how they said what
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: was out sound?
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: Hop ain't nobody to cut that check but it's still
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: a get pushed.
- 1:00:29Speaker 9: Back, John Bowl, Wayne More of The Sports Jock Show
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: with Wayne Gandy is dumbing Up next.
- 1:00:37Speaker 26: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 1:00:41Speaker 26: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 1:00:43Speaker 26: I think man can be a little stubborn sometimes where
- 1:00:46Speaker 26: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 1:00:49Speaker 26: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 1:00:53Speaker 26: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 1:00:56Speaker 26: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative and positive.
- 1:01:01Speaker 26: I knew I needed more tools on my toolbox to
- 1:01:03Speaker 26: take care of these little girls that just lost their mother.
- 1:01:07Speaker 26: It's time for me to be that father that I
- 1:01:09Speaker 26: knew I could be. I think just being that good
- 1:01:12Speaker 26: role model as well. That model's good behavior in front
- 1:01:15Speaker 26: of them, going to work every day, coming home and
- 1:01:18Speaker 26: being able to put on that smile. The biggest reward
- 1:01:21Speaker 26: about being a dad is sitting back and watching your
- 1:01:25Speaker 26: kids be happy.
- 1:01:27Speaker 27: Never stop being a dad. That's dedication. Find out more

- 1:01:42Speaker 2: I haven't had it my soul, serious Sun, we hold
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: the world brandsom for me, excuse me while I whipped
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: this out.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Sure broadcasting live and at Lanta, Georgia with this. This
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: is a sports show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:02:00Speaker 18: You may do.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Again the show come so far comes it comes to month?
- 1:02:10Speaker 26: Is it just going.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: I'm doing big? Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: you may vegan, Welcome back to this mor Shock show.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: I'm this shock wingting. Good morning to you as we
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: sit on the eve of the Big Dance March madness
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: is here starting today, each and every weekend for the
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: next three weekends, basketball college basketball will be at the
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: forefront of the weekend. All the teams are preparing and
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: getting ready. Uh and uh, it happens quick. That's the thing.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: The Sweet sixteen, the Elite eight, is actually here in
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Atlanta next weekend. So after all this it seems like
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: it's a lot of people, and then in one weekend
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: we are down to just sixteen teams here in Atlanta.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: On the twenty eighth and the thirtieth, the Final four
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: is in San Antonio. Four of the men, I don't
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: know where's you know where the final four is for
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: the women. You check that for me, Greg, But we
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: are in high gear ready to go. I know North
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Carolina's in, Auburn's in. It's Florida State. In men or women,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: do you know, Greg? I neither one. No men or
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Southern mists. Men or women.
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: I do not think I think so, sir. In the
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: n it I have to check that, Okay. I thought
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: it was interesting. I wanted to mention this. At the
- 1:03:47Speaker 7: top of last hour, you said three point two billion.
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: I thought you were going to say impact of the
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: tournament on the surrounding economies.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: That's just the gambling money. Yes, to make three point
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: one billion will be wagered on the just gambling. That's
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: not the food purchased in the beverages. That's just the
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: gambling they're launching. And you can catch a little ad
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: that they have a commercial video. Uh, their anti harassment
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: video centered on sports betting. Uh. It is called Don't
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: be a Loser, and he's basically saying that when you
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: command you Greg sitting up in the stands and I
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: hit the bucket that made your over under it went over.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I took the under. Yeah lose, and I go to
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: run in for the halftime. You're not up there throwing,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: you know, berating me. Yea, the game trash because I
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: hit the shot. But yeah, the parl that would have
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: that would have took my whole weekend to a push. Oh,
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: I've heard people crying about that. So they're running an
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: actual ad. This is that man. The Women's Final Four
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: is in Tampa, Tampa this year. Okay, Tampa forore the
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: good weather for them out there in three weeks. Hopefully
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: we get to see all the big stars over there,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Notre Dame, U C l A U AT C ukon
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: South Carolina. You know, the big names at big times,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: some of the big teams that Texas team. Texas has
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: two good teams period in this year. Really quick, is
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: that don't be a sore loser? Is that all don't
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: be a don't be a loser? Is that our attempt
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: to skirt liability later? I mean, we see danger coming.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: We can attached.
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: Gambling to this basketball thing, and then one of these
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: dudes flash out and jump a basketball player and then
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: you're gonna try and lay it at our feet.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: But we already told you to relax. Well, just effort
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: to try to get that one or two people. You know,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I doubt that you're you can never run any campaign
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: thinking it's like what is it click it or ticket? Yeah,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: you're just hoping that one person decides the day to
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: use that. So like in these situations, one is big
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: each and every incident that you can minimize is positive,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:06:23Speaker 7: So, But we're not going to eliminate gambling on sports. No,
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: we're not gonna do that. Well no, we did WoT
- 1:06:31Speaker 7: Judah be responsible?
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Yeah, but responsibly well, well that's at the end of
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: it that it's not even gambling responsible as much as
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: don't take your anger out on out on me on
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: something I didn't do.
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: Right, And you see a lot of so you see
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: a lot of on social media where players excuse me,
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: where a lot of players will say that they like,
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: I don't like, especially during football season, like I don't
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: I don't care about your parlays, Like why I'm not
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: even they're not even thinking about that. So idiot's already
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: falling on years to rate the player.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: If you're if you're dealing with a true player, and
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: still most players are. You're just trying to win or lose.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Coach is not giving you a score, and most of
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: the time numbers only come up when it's something that
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: you're chasing, like you you know you, Hey man, I
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: need seventy yards to get a thousand. But that's not
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: every week. We're not not yard one, We're not you know,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: that's something down the road where we start realizing, hey man,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: I hate I need seventy yards week.
- 1:07:40Speaker 7: I just think back to I think back to the
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: was it Big Poppy or uh there was a soccer
- 1:07:47Speaker 7: player once that was shot during the World Cup or
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: something like that, oh down in Escobar because some people
- 1:07:59Speaker 7: had bet on the game and he won the game,
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: or law and they.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: He had scored an own goal.
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: And so I'm saying, we've seen people who take out
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: vengeance on these athletes who have nothing to do with it,
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: but you would still allow the gambling to be directly linked. Now,
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: some of these people are mad because the bets stay
- 1:08:21Speaker 7: placed at a betting house in an illegal bookie situation.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: You let me walk into the arena and put some
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: money on you, and you got the nerve to mess
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: up my push. No, I didn't. I didn't. I didn't
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: let you walk in this arena and do anything we're
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: not getting. There's nothing in the arena for you to
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: gamble on. So wherever you you went on your phone
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: or you put this bet before you, right on this, but.
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: You advertise it this yeah, yes, okay, So that's that's okay.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: And I'm saying, I'm also pushing these dollar hot dogs
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: and I didn't. I didn't tell you to eat ten
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: of them. And now you're telling about you got some
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: heart pain, gambled responsibly. I guess you know what I say.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: I'm pushing your If we go by that, then you're
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: saying everything that I'm supposed to be doing today. I
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: didn't tell you to come to this game and break
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: up your marriage. You the one decided that you did
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: when she said, if you go to the game, it's
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: gonna bring up the marriage. And you still came here.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: So how what are you laking? I'm just throwing a
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: game today, and I'm trying to be helpful, like, don't
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: sit in this area if you don't want to get
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: hit by the ball. And then you still go by
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: the sixty seats. That still and I told you don't
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: buy these seats, Big Kenny, right, you know you can't
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: see you out of one eye. You're always on your phone.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: You said that, and you're high. You didn't have to
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: bring that up. Then the ball hits you in the
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: head and you sit there. I can't believe the braids
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: that ruin my bus, But I can see better, you
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. That's straightened my little LaVar Ball.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: We were talking about his son, love Mellow lou Angelo
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: the Rapper. The Angelo is the Rapper, the middle son.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: But LaVar Ball has confirmed we were speculating when he
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: had his leg amputated that typically those kind of amputations
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: come from accidents where you know you get in a
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: car accident or something falls on your leg and they
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: have to amputate, or something like diabetes. And he says
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: that it was a longer road than we think it was.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Start off, it's going to be two toes, and then
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: it was going to be the foot, and it ended
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: up being from his knee down, and a couple of
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: times there he felt like he was not going to
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: make it in that situation. And my thing is with
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: any of these when this happens, hopefully is something. And
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: you imagine at the bar ball who used to be
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: a former athlete probably did get checked regularly. Hopefully it's
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: not one of them. He knew. Those are the saddest
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: ones when you know, but then you like effort in
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: a sense, you know, like you know you're not supposed
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: to recently, but you're still indulging. The man told you
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: no cold cuts, I had, Uh, you got the giant
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: extra meat, you know, twelve what they call the foote
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: the giant. And see, this is the thing. I've known
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: people to.
- 1:11:46Speaker 7: Check out early from sense the sacks of violence, from
- 1:11:51Speaker 7: street activity. And there are some people who just say effort.
- 1:11:55Speaker 7: I'm gonna enjoy myself and I always feel worse for
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: the ethic people because it's like the folks that went
- 1:12:05Speaker 7: out in the streets. Maybe you was trying to live today,
- 1:12:07Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying. They just caught you slipping
- 1:12:09Speaker 7: that day. But for the person to just be on
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: some man. Because I had a friend and she's gone now,
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: but I remember we were road tripping together and she
- 1:12:18Speaker 7: was telling me how you know, I got diabetes and
- 1:12:21Speaker 7: they say this and that, but.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: I'm not my friend. You know, we talk about life
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: and death and you out of playing with these people.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: And then a year or so two years later, the
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: thought it was gonna be a toe, then it ended
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: up being from the knee down.
- 1:12:36Speaker 7: And now she's gone, and you know, come on, man,
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: we could have some people we could have died better
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: than that.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: I'm quite sure we all know that person, even if
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: they haven't passed yet. Yeah, but they it's it's almost
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: acceptable for you not to know, and something happened then
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: for you to tell me you have cancer, but you
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: got some new ports in your pocket, because that means
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you don't decided, Hey man, let it ride too late night,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: too late night. And I'm wondering when I saw this,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: because I still never really got what was up with
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: coach Prime, and we'll talk about him later in the
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: show as well as far as a new addition to
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: his coaching staff. But because what he sounded like he
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: was going through was similar, was similar to diabetes, And
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: I was wondering, is that because it started off like
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: a toe and then one time it was two toes,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: and then they thought it was gonna have to be
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: the foot. So I was wondering if something that maybe
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: he had put kept pushing back because a lot of
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: times that's what it beat, and you just keep pushing
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: back like you don't see your legs swelling. Now, I
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: be all right, man, You see them that sock in print.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: You had to so on thirty seconds, look like it's
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: been on for ninety days, right right? You know you
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: need to go get checked. We'll be back more to
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: Sports Jock Show right after. This is why why or
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: did he play with me?
- 1:14:12Speaker 16: I'll put a poll on your seat with my people
- 1:14:15Speaker 16: here we come in fifty d You ain't know I
- 1:14:17Speaker 16: wasn't hit of cook.
- 1:14:18Speaker 19: I'm always looking fleet.

- 1:19:51Speaker 1: a dude would point it is space rock. Space rock,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: move rock is what they I'm saying. They cut it
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: down from two Moon rock, Moon rock is what they
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: brought back the stuff that Spot was on. Now we
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: can't take this to Earth Spot, Big Kenny, A little
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: light work here this week, Little light work man, I'm
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: gonna have to go with Rosie o'donald sixty three. Okay, okay,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: trying to catch you before she because that's they keep
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: getting over the fence and they keep escaping. She left handed. Yeah,
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: that's twice this week this week. I'm ambidexterous. This week,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: you don't make some suspects. I'm saying, that's all right, sir.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: Earlier this week you picked me, and I'm like criminals,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: be around suspects all the time. I pitched it. I'm ambidexterous.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: It's all right, bro. League of her, a league of
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: her own. Go get your teammates. You see what I'm saying.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: Ain't no crying in baseball. I actually was always wondered
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: like her, even Oprah. Some of those were great actors.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: Elegend de Generous was a good actress. Yes, yes, and
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: you never they never did a lot with the acting part.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: They just say, I don't know if it was a
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: time thing because their shows blew up so good. Yeah,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: but they were great actress and actress. Yeah, and just never.
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: It seems like they could have gone on to had
- 1:21:21Speaker 7: just solo careers in theater or in movies and television.
- 1:21:26Speaker 7: But again, sometimes networks will see the value in that
- 1:21:31Speaker 7: and just put it into keeping you here on a date.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: Rosie had that new Jersey, Oh yeah, that she had
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: she what the Italian part of Brooklyn whatever, I don't know,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: the burrows By, Yeah, but she had that down down
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: and you could have put her in Sopranos for real,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: and she could have been the system. I mean, she
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: was even every uh. Yes, she definitely could have done
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: that and so many yea, she was a great man
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: and Ellen too, whatever you saw her Ellen, she always
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: had that comedic timing and look real believable.
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, and I'm surprised she didn't harlay even
- 1:22:12Speaker 7: her off time from doing her daily talk show into
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: a stand up tour, because that's usually what a lot
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: of popular comedians who are on TV do is when
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: they're off, they go charge exorbitan amounts of money for
- 1:22:25Speaker 7: an hour or so on stage.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Ellen didn't even really do that. Then, Oprah the last
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: movie I saw Oprah The Butler, The Butler with Forrest Whittaker, Yeah,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: and I was so shocked and her character like she
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: had been around, like she had never really taken acting breaks.
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: Yeah, she she was so natural and that was I
- 1:22:49Speaker 7: was like, man, and that was the unlikable character that
- 1:22:51Speaker 7: she played. Usually she plays the heroin in this she
- 1:22:54Speaker 7: kind of played the antithy.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: Have you seen The Butler? I haven't seen it. She
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: played an unlike likable character. You would think she had
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: consistently been acting every two or three, I mean every year.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: You wouldn't, you know, because because you kind of get
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: color purple and then this Butler movie. And I'm quite
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: sure she's been in one or two things since then.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: But the Butler, she seemed like a veteran like she had.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: That was the only thing she's ever done. She did
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: such a good job in that role. She was a
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: promiscuous house housewife and she played it on point. But
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Big Kenny's clocking in on Rosie old don clalk. I
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: got to deepen my voice when I clock in on claw.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: Let me see a bad producer just because I know
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: you got this weekend off of a little side action
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: right here. Now, we won't get you now he messed
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: up the work. We got our contract. Next thing, you know,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: we have paid Holiday Ruby Rose Hey Holidays is sickly.
- 1:24:16Speaker 8: No mojo I bounce that, no Pobo, unhappy, no new brands,
- 1:24:22Speaker 8: no logo.
- 1:24:23Speaker 9: Johan Bolwayne born of the Sports John Show with Wayne Dan.
- 1:24:27Speaker 9: Videos coming up next, and.
- 1:24:31Speaker 10: Now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three quarters
- 1:24:35Speaker 10: of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece of
- 1:24:38Speaker 10: financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have life insurance.
- 1:24:42Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:24:44Speaker 29: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:24:47Speaker 29: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:24:52Speaker 29: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:24:54Speaker 29: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:24:56Speaker 29: survived without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:24:58Speaker 29: the insurance informant.
- 1:24:59Speaker 10: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:25:02Speaker 10: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:25:05Speaker 29: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:25:07Speaker 29: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:25:09Speaker 10: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:25:11Speaker 10: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:25:13Speaker 10: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:25:16Speaker 10: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:25:19Speaker 10: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:25:24Speaker 10: Log on today Benefits or bills dot com. That's Benefits
- 1:25:28Speaker 10: orbills dot com.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Hurting the game.
- 1:25:32Speaker 30: We tough it out, feel exhausted, we push on feeling down.
- 1:25:38Speaker 30: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. But there are
- 1:25:41Speaker 30: times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress gets to us
- 1:25:45Speaker 30: and we need to talk to someone about what we're
- 1:25:48Speaker 30: really going through. So we're going to reach out because
- 1:25:51Speaker 30: sometimes mental health is not a one person job.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: Is it love Yourmind today dot org? That's love your
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: Mind Today dot org.
- 1:25:58Speaker 30: Brought to you by the Huntsman Mental Health Institute in
- 1:26:00Speaker 30: the Head Councilor.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: And now back to the Sports John of Wayne.
- 1:26:06Speaker 26: Gandy Player's Lounge.
- 1:26:12Speaker 25: You have been given full access to the player's lounge
- 1:26:15Speaker 25: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: For me, have a double shot of whiskeys. They know
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: I mean Jack.
- 1:26:29Speaker 11: Dawn's gotta get Street.
- 1:26:31Speaker 23: There's a party downtown near Fifth Street. Everybody had the
- 1:26:35Speaker 23: bar get everybody had the barkeet.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Welcome back to the sports shop. Shall not give me
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: the hip hop version of everybody at the at the
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: bargaining tip. I've been bince because I've been I've been
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: listening to a lot of music recently if I changed
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: the station just to catch on the vibe and five
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: four is bringing me a lot of I'm just going
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: to put your song to a different tempo.
- 1:27:08Speaker 6: Facts, facts, facts, that's the truth. That's the truth, because
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: I've heard so.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: Many Okay, that's the I'm saying, like you know it
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: used to that's you been music, but they used to
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: give you about a ten year window. Let you get
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: a little head start with your single. curR. You're looking
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: mighty bad. Yeah, you're bad. Yeah, make a brother Spindish
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: cash Yeah, yeah his last Yeah, gurl, you're looking dude.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: Won't you back the thing up? Use a fine young moment,
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: won't you back that thing up? That's how they do
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: it now, that's how they do it, and swear and
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: be running them at the same time on the radio.
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: Wait a minute, that sounds really really kind of familiar.
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: Oh man, at that sample, I thought that hold up
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: that they just use that, Oh man, No, they did.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: They're doing the whole song. Whole song a cover band
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: with a different tone, that's all he's doing. Berber Street Hustler,
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: the Net. Colbert is now facing second degree murder. Chah yeah,
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: they got you the net forty years old. She was
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: the rest of February the seventh, after she accompanied Telemundo
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: reporter man Zano let me fine Manzano's real name, Aiden
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: man Zano, who's twenty seven, to a hotel room in
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: New Orleans. Remember all this went on in the week
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: leading up to the Super Bowl, where he was later
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: found dead. They have officially charged her with a second
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: degree murder. So we will see how the bourbon.
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: When the hustle, When the hustle goes wrong, when the
- 1:28:58Speaker 7: hustle goes wrong.
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: See well, and the thing too big, Kenny, you can
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: weigh on it more than me commands you probably as well.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: He went through his drug period. But you do see
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: a lot of cases where they are starting to charge you,
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: like in the Kansas City Chiefs player's case. Yes, sir,
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: that man, all I did was delivery, just to plug. Yeah,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a cocaine dealer, but I ain't no murderer.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: You see what I'm saying. You got me jammed up
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: in the wrong crime. I'm just a drug district You
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: dropped it off. Yeah, I'm just a drug Yes, I
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: transport drugs, I sell drugs, but that ain't murdered. Sir,
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: that ain't what I do. That ain't Now. I know
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: some people do that, but I'm saying that ain't what
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: I do, sir, so openly admitting to trafficking. Listen, I'm
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: gonna show you the text message. He said, bring me
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: some drugs. You're trying to plead to the to the
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: lesson to the less charge. He's killed. He said, bring
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: me some drugs. So he didn't kill those three people. No,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: I didn't kill them three. I bought them drugs. I
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: bought drugs, but you need three people. See this the
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: text message to say see three ounces. That's where it said.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: I said that's gonna be seven hundred pounds. He said, okay,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: And so I went this us on film be handing
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: him the drugs and leaving. You've proven, you've proven the
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: state case. I walked away. They were alive before they
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: took the drug Sir, that's what I'm trying to think
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: of choosing. Yeah, man, they was alive after I sold
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: them drugs. I'm not sure that's gonna come up into
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: this case. Well, where they're going to try to get
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: her on even that part. I don't know if that's
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: the full charge, right, what extent they're saying she played
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: any But I'm quite sure with these new laws that
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: providing them society, it seems to be very okay with
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: that rule too. Now, yes, yes, there.
- 1:31:02Speaker 7: It used to be a little kickback, like hold on,
- 1:31:04Speaker 7: I didn't do Yeah, your personal responsibility is what landed
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: you in this predicment. But now they're asserting that basically
- 1:31:14Speaker 7: free wheel is out of the window. The fact that
- 1:31:16Speaker 7: you had something that was deadly and distributed it makes
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: you liable for that person's death. So you know, a
- 1:31:25Speaker 7: lot of it gets fought in court because we wouldn't
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: allow it to be the responsibility of the alcoholic beverage
- 1:31:37Speaker 7: maker when I crashed into you. So no, but now
- 1:31:43Speaker 7: the bar, all right, will will give them some culpability,
- 1:31:46Speaker 7: you see what I mean. So they're finding their happy
- 1:31:50Speaker 7: medium in this. And we're gonna say bars, bars are
- 1:31:54Speaker 7: under the rule of cutting you off. Yes, bars have
- 1:31:58Speaker 7: to cut you off.
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: I had well, and I know some of them have
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: to test their employees right before they leave. Yeah, well
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: they should shouldn't be drinking on the job. But if
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: you yeah there. It used to be where bartenders would
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: take a shot with the shot. Now that yeah, that's
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: completely not eliminated. Yeah, you could lose your job for
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: like somebody, I don't want to drink Alan and you
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: want this hundred dollar tip. And that's where we run
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: into trouble. Now, I'll tell you I was in a
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: situation where me and some friends. He's straight skirting the
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: lines because we me and some friends met up in
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: a city like passing through, stopped at a bar and
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: drank so long that they were changing shifts, and the
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: bartender kept on like, man, I ought to be cutting
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: y'all off, but he was just going for his tip.
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: And when my buddy fell flat on his face coming
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: from the bathroom, the manager was like, this is over,
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: so you know, and then he just got it tip,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: but he had ran up. We probably ran up about
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: seven hundred dollars worth of alcohol beverages and they only
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: want the money. Owen Hayes, twenty one years old, a
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: player at the Master's University. I was arrested on Monday
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: at the allegedly excuse me, his alleged involvement in a
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: brawl at docks in It's in New Hall, California. He
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: is being allegedly charged, which I don't know how if
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: I'm on video. I don't get how the allege goes
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: with video. I got that's how I caught you. I
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: saw you in the video. It's just for legal purposes
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: at this point. No, but that video could be doctor
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: because there's a lot of air. It might be because
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: at docs in, you know, that's what they do. They
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: go to docs in in New Hall, California. Where's New Hall, California?
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: Exactly because they're not doctor and filming there. Well, that's
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: the reason they go because they figured no one would
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: think that it's doctor. Arrested in charge with assault after
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: allegedly attacking an eighty four year old man inside of
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: docs and uh, they're saying an argument broke out between
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: some patrets and I don't know, I guess one of
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: his friends got in a fight or argument with what
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: is the eighty four year old man doing at a bar?
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: A little old for that. Yeah, listen, we don't judge.
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: Don't be like this, don't be like that. Don't be
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: like that sports jock trying to catch the ball. Because
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: the fire of life done burned out in your spirit.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: This man, this man out living his life, eighty four
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: years old. Where else you want to be well, you
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: can be somewhere giving you some pickleball in or he
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: already got I done done all of that. That story
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: I'm saying four, I'm Scott Peterson pickleballs too serious, and
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. But I'm eighty four, so I'm
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: up at two thirty a m. And I do all
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: that before I go to the bar at noon. But
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: it seems like the twenty one year old I saw
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: the video he did and what's his name again? On
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: Hayes On Hayes, I had Haines Hayes yea Hayes h
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: a y e s C's twenty one years old put
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: the hands on the eighty four. What do you think
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: an eighty four year old could tell you? Though? Oh
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: you just don't have a button at all, saying with
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: you in my face, fun, you old enough to know better.
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: So you hit your great granddaddy if he tripped, great
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: great If he's tripping, I just go around. Did Owens
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: did hell Owen's Day or something that I'm saying. I
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: don't to attack eighty four year old man, but if
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: he think he got it in it, he wanted to
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: show you that one last fight, Hey, yeah, he made
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: the decision for us. That's my point. Aaron Rodgers, it
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: looks like he's going to take his time picking a team,
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: but also that the media companies there was a window
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: two years ago, a lot of conversation talk, talk shows
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: and game shows for Aaron Rogers. But in the two
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: years he's been up in with the jts chet Chets,
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: a lot of people have taken exception to him and
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: and everything. That's why I said he found himself in
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: a Catch twenty two kind of situation where he couldn't
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: he can't speak his mind right, he can't go out
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: the Joshua Tree, he can't go to a game if
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: he hurt. You know, he found himself where people had
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: decided they are supposed to tell Aaron Rodgers what to
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: do next, what to do with his life and how
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: to do it. And Aaron Rodgers has never been one
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: of those kind of guys. As much as you want
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: to see him distant and different than Brett Farv, he
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: was a Brett Farv kind of maverick in his way.
- 1:37:20Speaker 7: Has always been that and unapologetically that on some what
- 1:37:27Speaker 7: you're gonna do about it?
- 1:37:28Speaker 26: Like?
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: He was never one to walk back statements that kind
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: of thing, and so you could see why. But I
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: believe at least from these sports shows ESPN, Fox, to
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: get Aaron Rodgers in the booth, is on somebody's table,
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: to get him up there to be on you know,
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: broadcasting to somebody's table. They could sit there and make
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: you think they tored that contract up. They might be
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: reducing it, but trust me, one of these what what
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: is Tom on Fox? Fox?
- 1:38:07Speaker 6: Honestly almost on CBS and t N T N T,
- 1:38:11Speaker 6: like you said, is trying to attempting to get their
- 1:38:13Speaker 6: upper running so that.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: Those people they're looking for Aaron Rodgers.
- 1:38:20Speaker 7: I believe the reason that Aaron play for the Jets
- 1:38:24Speaker 7: is because Ken Jennings got the Jeopardy job.
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: Had they given that to Aaron Rodgers, he would have Yeah,
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: he would have retired, Yeah, he would retired. I think
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: he would have retired to if he had gotten that jet.
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: That's the only thing he's looking for. And I think
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: because Tom is on Fox and Romo is on CBS
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: and got Troy Troy on ABC, because they're on those
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: networks doing football, I think Aaron wants to do with nobody.
- 1:38:51Speaker 7: He wants to do a straight hand. He wants to
- 1:38:53Speaker 7: if I'll come and do sports, but I want to
- 1:38:55Speaker 7: be legitimized.
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I can see him more. Want to be like
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: a straight hand because like said, he work that into
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: his deal. He can get in the door with Jack
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: the hosting. You know, trust me, Fox, it will be
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: willing to pay Tom Brady more. Yes, if he chooses
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: to do more for them, Yes, Yes, to be there,
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: Brian Gumble there kind of guy. Yes, and all the
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: sporting events. They trust me. He is much more money
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: for him to make if he decides to be a
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: yearly instead of just a seasonal. Right, guy, they've sent
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: him the Olympic. Anything they got their contract on. That's
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: what he would talk. Can you call baseball? Yeah, we're
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: working Yeah, we're working out. We'll figure something. We'll be
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: back more than well. I played back when I was
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: in the third grade something. That's all they know. They
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: need one year of it. We'll be back right the
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: bass right one mouse like Plas walk in the self.
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: She gonna make it mine us.
- 1:40:04Speaker 9: Don't bow away or of the sports Jock Show with
- 1:40:07Speaker 9: Wayne Dan videos coming up next.
- 1:40:10Speaker 24: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 1:40:12Speaker 24: but it's time. We know the facts. Fentanyl is killing people.
- 1:40:16Speaker 24: It's a powerful opioid, often made illegally and commonly mixed
- 1:40:19Speaker 24: with illicted drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit
- 1:40:23Speaker 24: pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the
- 1:40:27Speaker 24: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.
- 1:40:30Speaker 24: This isn't an AD to scare you, but it isn't
- 1:40:32Speaker 24: ad to make you think twice. Get the facts. Go
- 1:40:35Speaker 24: to Real Deal on fentanyl dot com. This message is
- 1:40:38Speaker 24: brought to you by the AD Council.

- 1:41:39Speaker 1: Eight And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy.
- 1:41:54Speaker 22: Between log on, say you can see sports jain't I'll
- 1:42:09Speaker 22: sing even.
- 1:42:10Speaker 17: Big Jenny, welcome back to the sun this way shot
- 1:42:15Speaker 17: Wing Candy manager Run Washington feels like his new rule
- 1:42:21Speaker 17: no cell phones in the clubhouse will extend into the
- 1:42:25Speaker 17: regular season.
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: The Angels skipper of kind of pulling out one of
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: those old cards, something that I must say in my
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: career we could not have maybe trying to think of
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: old time win.
- 1:42:47Speaker 12: No.
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: I don't think that any team that ever played allowed
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: the cell phone in the locker room. Why though, because
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: to God, you would have to go to your car
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: if you wanted to make a call. They would make
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: sure you had all your emergency numbers given to the secretary,
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: that's your your family or wife, and then you could
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: go to your car. So this is not a rule
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: that's unfamiliar to sports. I think teams waiver going back
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: and forth based on the manager. But it must be
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: something that Ron Washington has witnessed, most likely him and
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: his coaching staff, of how his team handles the phone.
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: Uh those you know, every time we got a break,
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: y'all are own it or going to check it, or
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: you know, recording something he is trying to take out
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: because it is a distraction a lot of times for
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: what you're trying to do.
- 1:43:49Speaker 7: Now, I want to say, I think one of the
- 1:43:51Speaker 7: reasons that it became a thing to have to set
- 1:43:55Speaker 7: boundaries with the phone was there was a time when
- 1:44:00Speaker 7: the mobile phone was seen as a convenience, a luxury.
- 1:44:06Speaker 7: Now people have convinced themselves and have been allowed to
- 1:44:10Speaker 7: convince others that it is a life and death apparatus.
- 1:44:15Speaker 7: Like I need this because without it, I don't know
- 1:44:18Speaker 7: what's going on in the rest of the world. As
- 1:44:20Speaker 7: you said, they gave you emergency contact number, but no, no, no, no,
- 1:44:24Speaker 7: that's not enough that you call me in an emergency.
- 1:44:28Speaker 7: What if I got an emergency and I need to
- 1:44:30Speaker 7: call you?
- 1:44:30Speaker 6: Though, you think maybe just a lot of this is
- 1:44:33Speaker 6: to help prevent some of the gambling things that's going on,
- 1:44:36Speaker 6: to prevent see where a lot of players are doing
- 1:44:40Speaker 6: the bets in the game even though you're not betting
- 1:44:41Speaker 6: on your own team, and maybe a basketball game on
- 1:44:44Speaker 6: or something, and or a game or something.
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: I think that run has been around enough to now
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: see that he's dealing with what's the generations gen Z?
- 1:44:55Speaker 30: Is this Z?
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: Or have we split players? Yeah? His age, Yeah, that
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: he would have gen Z a little age millennial, but
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: all his Generation X would be gone at this point,
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: So his locker room would be full of people that
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: are totally centered around and convinced they need this, to
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: need this, I need this phone, TikTok and those kind
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: of things. On top of like you're saying, just you know,
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: betting on the basketball game or anything, because all of
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: those are part of my needs. That's what I'm saying
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: that because watching watching TV, I want your total attention, Yes,
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: and that is taking fifteen to twenty percent of it
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: instead of you going in there maybe letting your mind
- 1:45:45Speaker 1: rest you in there watching clips, sexy red videos, and
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: you supposed to have been in there, been quiet, relaxing.
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: He doesn't want to see that. He wants to believe
- 1:45:58Speaker 1: everybody's mind is on the game. And I do know
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: one of the things that I notice, even when I'm
- 1:46:05Speaker 1: driving around, it's getting worse. Oh man, it's getting worse.
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: I really feel like law enforcement either somebody needs to
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: invent something that doesn't allow you to text. Or what's
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: the thing when you see FaceTime, right, because people really
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: drive like that.
- 1:46:32Speaker 5: With the every everything right there. And I'm saying now
- 1:46:35Speaker 5: and then and then they're steering with the foot.
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: What's that? Oh that's a blunt, Yeah it is.
- 1:46:41Speaker 7: But they got the automatic steering now, so you don't
- 1:46:43Speaker 7: even have to use the use you need no more. Yeah,
- 1:46:46Speaker 7: you just got the automatic smoke the blunt.
- 1:46:49Speaker 1: Yeah, girl, drink, drink the car, but don't but don't
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: but don't burn yourself. That's a white claw. Oh that's okay, okay.
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: I'm saying this represents something that you're smoking whatever that
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: whenever it's represents something you're drinking whatever that is, right,
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: And and you're video timing yes at the same time
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: at the same time and rush out so you got
- 1:47:10Speaker 1: a sandwich. It has gotten real bad, you know, And
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: it's just I can. I can if I'm the manager,
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: if I'm the football coach, definitely a rule that I
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: would establish now. So I can't even sit there and
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: tell you I wouldn't. It'll be my rule. Even if
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: we just locked them up. You came in like you
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: put them into little cases and so you may be
- 1:47:37Speaker 1: at lunch. You don't have to go outside to your car.
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: You can just go to your cubby hole. But I know,
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: and this is that guys would even and we're talking
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: about I have played in fifteen years. As soon as
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: they got a break, they go lean back in their
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: cloths in their locker and get on the phone. For
- 1:47:57Speaker 1: that fifteen to twenty minutes sit there. They don't do
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: no kind of connecting with the team. Ain't no extra nothing,
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: mam and run seems like he maybe don't have enough,
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: but he's dealing with true phone people like you said,
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: these are the caration. Yeah, the twenty five old is
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: not cash like me, a person that's trying to impress
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: you with Look, I just used the emoji, you see
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: me use them.
- 1:48:25Speaker 7: I used the moji. That's a smiley face. That's what
- 1:48:27Speaker 7: they call it, the smiley face. He's not one of
- 1:48:30Speaker 7: those people. They that's and everything they do. They pay
- 1:48:35Speaker 7: their bills like, they don't carry cash or cards. They
- 1:48:39Speaker 7: capped their phone. They they've convinced themselves that without this,
- 1:48:43Speaker 7: I cannot function.
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: Have you ever had someone ask you why your emoji
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: is not in color? Yeah? People, And I've always thought
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: you're the one weird because I just so, you're gonna
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: send me the white You're gonna send me the white
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: piece sign. You're gonna send me the white fingers.
- 1:49:00Speaker 5: Some people have as like, why why do you text
- 1:49:04Speaker 5: incomplete sentences instead of all emojis? Because using a using
- 1:49:08Speaker 5: punctuation is seen as offensive. Now, so I don't put so,
- 1:49:13Speaker 5: don't put a period on, don't put a period that.
- 1:49:15Speaker 5: That's that's what I got a question though? Could I
- 1:49:19Speaker 5: put a question way now?
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: Stuff like that? I hit them with that nonsensical skyclout coverage?
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: How come you don't type in all sentences? Duck feet masked?
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: What does it mo? Show? Don't go away?
- 1:49:49Speaker 9: Board of the Sports John Show with Wayne Gandy is
- 1:49:52Speaker 9: coming up next?
- 1:49:56Speaker 4: Oh perhaps buzzed?
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, he's starting with the boots.
- 1:50:02Speaker 19: And now a speech.
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: I just want to say that friendship is about heart,
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: art and brain. Who's with me?
- 1:50:09Speaker 4: Good thing is he knows when he's buzzed, and my
- 1:50:12Speaker 4: brain is saying when it's time to go home.
- 1:50:14Speaker 24: Somebody call me a ride.
- 1:50:16Speaker 15: Love that guy, me too, know your buzzed warning signs,
- 1:50:19Speaker 15: call for a ride when it's time to go home.
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: Buzz driving is drunk driving. A message from ITZA and
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: the AD Council.
- 1:50:25Speaker 10: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:50:28Speaker 10: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:50:32Speaker 10: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:50:36Speaker 10: life insurance.
- 1:50:36Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:50:38Speaker 29: just getting started with our family and thought we lived
- 1:50:40Speaker 29: forever life insurance. Well, what's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:50:46Speaker 29: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:50:48Speaker 29: Bill's piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:50:50Speaker 29: survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:50:52Speaker 29: the insurance informant.
- 1:50:53Speaker 10: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:50:56Speaker 10: security no matter.
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: What stage of life you're in no that I'll move there.
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: I don't worry about whether I'll leave my family with
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: bills or benefits.
- 1:51:03Speaker 10: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:51:06Speaker 10: whether you earn a little or a lot, all you
- 1:51:08Speaker 10: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:51:10Speaker 10: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:51:14Speaker 10: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:51:19Speaker 10: Log on today benefits or bills dot com? That's benefits
- 1:51:23Speaker 10: or bills dot com.
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: And now back to the sports job Wayne Gandy.
- 1:51:33Speaker 25: It's time put a school board when we put a
- 1:51:35Speaker 25: spin on life and sports and how they intermingle.
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: On the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy, he I
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: mean let in bed.
- 1:51:54Speaker 25: Somebody gotta do it.
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: Guess what somebody gotta do it? Turn it TV off,
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: turn a TV off? It turns TV off? Walk away
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: to the Sports Shock Show in that the same song
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: that he I know the same? Is that the same song?
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: Maybe I have it? They always know it's the same
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: beat songs, different TV off and squabble up with two
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: different songs. Why they sound the same? You fin give it,
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: You're finna mess it up. It's like McDonald's our buns
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: have no seeds. That's all you need to know. Our
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: buns have no seeds. You fin to mess up the
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: whole little skimeuse. I don't know if you've ever noticed
- 1:52:40Speaker 1: that there are a lot of popular songs that just
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: share beats. They just I'll use it for it. But
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: it's differently for a different artist. Yes, this gentleman has
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: the same song.
- 1:52:49Speaker 7: Well, this is what I'm saying. All we gotta do
- 1:52:53Speaker 7: is get the one in the door first. First, you
- 1:52:56Speaker 7: say you broke your leg, I tell you take the
- 1:52:58Speaker 7: afternoon off. I gotta have your health insurance. You see
- 1:53:02Speaker 7: what I'm saying. I had to give your health insurance.
- 1:53:03Speaker 7: So with these people, we used to share beats across
- 1:53:07Speaker 7: genres of music and artists.
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: Now I just use the same beat on six of
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: my songs. Yeah, so turning the TV off and what's
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: the other one? Squabble up? Squabble up? Or the same song?
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: When I hear music, that's a sample, when I hear music.
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: Got well, new paper, Georgia, not Georgia State, Golden State,
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: Georgia State, same thing, Golden State Hawks this weekend here
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: in the landtown. Only bring that up because it's just
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: let you see how Golden State pushes up the ticket
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: prices mostly sol out. If you're looking for one, uh,
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: it's gonna be between eight and eleven hundred dollars. Just
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: give you the pack of the Warriors Steph Curry, hopefully
- 1:53:58Speaker 1: he will play. And that's why people get mad. Wait, no,
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: this ain't for fiting on prices. These ain't basketball ticket
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: basketball ticket prices. Let me make sure you know how
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: much fittingel you can buy. What day is that they're
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: playing them on? You can stand in the top level
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: have mercy for ninety nine dollars, so very time you
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: can stand up? Oh I thought standing tickets at the
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: Braids game with five or two dollars for ninety nine,
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: big can up on the upper level. You can stand up.
- 1:54:31Speaker 7: Wait now I get to pay you a whole hundred
- 1:54:34Speaker 7: dollars to stand up, and you and you gotta look
- 1:54:37Speaker 7: down to do something. I could just literally do where
- 1:54:41Speaker 7: I am am. I could just stand up for free
- 1:54:44Speaker 7: right here and enjoy myself.
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: But if they do have two tickets in one O
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: eight for twelve twenty five, the twelve dollars twenty five cents, No,
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: twelve hundred and twenty five dollars for one ticket, for
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: two tickets for one ticket, twelve hundred dollars. Yeah, so
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: a semester of college for I'm serious, man needs a
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: lot of these. You why the fans? I'm bringing the
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: prices to tell you why the fans get mad when
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: people keep thinking? Because if you're late to the party,
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: but you are a Golden State Warrior fan, or you're
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: a basketball fan and you really wanted to see Steph
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: Curry take On take on tray, and you drove from
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: making Georgia or Nashville or wherever you drove from. On
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: top of it, you spent twelve hundred dollars and then
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: you get here and he telling me about he taking
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: off off of back sorts. Now you see why people mad?
- 1:55:47Speaker 1: Oh you think your backsha step step saved on stepped up.
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: What I'm saying he does eighty?
- 1:55:52Speaker 6: Well that Sunday, I mean they play Saturday then Sunday
- 1:55:56Speaker 6: usually when the reason why I say they usually when
- 1:55:58Speaker 6: the Golden State due to town, it's usually hile they
- 1:56:04Speaker 6: go play time enough, Stephan having a tee to tee
- 1:56:07Speaker 6: off and they go play Augusta National and snown that
- 1:56:10Speaker 6: they go and I'm seeing and.
