- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Cats in Footing Podcast, a melting pot
- 0:07Speaker 1: and now here's Jim.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Good afternoon, everybody, and welcome to our episode of Cats
- 0:12Speaker 2: and Pudding. And today I have two great guests with me.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I have Enigma, gorgeous Enigma, and I have his majesty,
- 0:24Speaker 2: mister Mike Deapiro. He has a great, great show, great
- 0:27Speaker 2: drag show. And we're going to talk to these beautiful
- 0:29Speaker 2: people today about their their adventure and about their experience
- 0:34Speaker 2: and their drag shows and about the performance.
- 0:37Speaker 3: And we all know each other for a while, so
- 0:39Speaker 3: this is really nice.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I'm so glad you guys came all the way up
- 0:41Speaker 2: here from Pennsylvania today to see me.
- 0:43Speaker 3: She loved me and I love you too.
- 0:45Speaker 2: And welcome, welcome. So tell me, well, let's let's pick
- 0:48Speaker 2: up where we left off. We were just talking.
- 0:50Speaker 4: About Yeah, I mean it's I mean, it's you are
- 0:55Speaker 4: definitely the star. It's a reaction for me.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Well, as we're watching the show, the way that you
- 1:05Speaker 5: interact with people is so funny. You just hit it
- 1:09Speaker 5: and like when you get a remark and you you
- 1:11Speaker 5: have that that ability to be.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Like yeah, it's almost like one of those moments where
- 1:17Speaker 4: like you don't know what to say. So then because
- 1:20Speaker 4: you and you're like, yeah, it's just it's gold, like
- 1:25Speaker 4: it's colony gold. Okay, I don't think you mean to
- 1:28Speaker 4: be funny, which is what makes it even more funny.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Right, Well, I'm glad you enjoyed the show that you've
- 1:33Speaker 2: been watching my episodes and now you're here is my guest,
- 1:37Speaker 2: So let's talk to you, Michael and talk about your
- 1:41Speaker 2: You are what you call it like a cabaret production production.
- 1:48Speaker 5: So like we have been building a production studio now
- 1:52Speaker 5: in a house for some time, and it started with
- 1:55Speaker 5: the live events side, and we started producing these elevated
- 2:00Speaker 5: drag show experiences. We wanted them to have like a
- 2:03Speaker 5: different field.
- 2:04Speaker 3: So it's not like your grandmother's direg show.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Yeah, well this is actually is your grandmother's dragtion. You
- 2:10Speaker 5: want to bring your grandmother to this draction?
- 2:13Speaker 1: You could actually very very.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Fan This is uh, this is a elevated experience, you know,
- 2:21Speaker 5: and we've created a very unique cast and now we're
- 2:27Speaker 5: expanding on that. You know, we're now three years into
- 2:30Speaker 5: what we've been building, right and now it's time to
- 2:33Speaker 5: build bigger, build something even more unique. And that falls
- 2:36Speaker 5: in the lines of you know, visual entertainment media, web series,
- 2:41Speaker 5: TV series, and that's the that's the era that we're
- 2:45Speaker 5: approaching now in twenty twenty four, and Enigma has been
- 2:49Speaker 5: that standing image of you know, this is what we're creating,
- 2:54Speaker 5: and this is why we're creating it, and that's why
- 2:56Speaker 5: we've you know, been coming on working with you over
- 2:59Speaker 5: the last two years. You know, like you've been on
- 3:02Speaker 5: a few of our videos shoots and stuff like, yes, showing.
- 3:06Speaker 3: A lot of fun. Yeah, we have a good time.
- 3:08Speaker 5: We always have a good time. I mean like walking
- 3:11Speaker 5: into your office and screaming at you in Italian, I
- 3:14Speaker 5: feel right at home.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 4: It's always kind of been about taking drag and putting
- 3:19Speaker 4: it into places and spaces that you wouldn't typically expect
- 3:22Speaker 4: it to be.
- 3:23Speaker 1: So, you know, partnering with you and.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Being inside the med spa and having the procedures done
- 3:30Speaker 4: and showing how that can help enhance an artist and
- 3:33Speaker 4: someone being in front of the camera. But definitely our
- 3:37Speaker 4: journey as a company. We started doing these small drag
- 3:40Speaker 4: shows and like little rinky DNK bars, and they just
- 3:43Speaker 4: grew because the mission and the goal was always to
- 3:45Speaker 4: elevate it and bring it to that production level. So
- 3:48Speaker 4: we come with that full blown, you know, we bring
- 3:50Speaker 4: the glitz and the glamor and the lights and the
- 3:52Speaker 4: stage and all of that to bring you in. But
- 3:54Speaker 4: the whole purpose is what we foster, and it's that
- 3:57Speaker 4: environment of just coming into a safe place in space
- 4:00Speaker 4: and sharing in that joy that we love, which is drag.
- 4:04Speaker 3: And how is your production?
- 4:06Speaker 1: Like?
- 4:07Speaker 3: What is it?
- 4:08Speaker 2: How?
- 4:08Speaker 3: First of all, how long? So if a typical.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Production for you guys, like your show you did yesterday,
- 4:12Speaker 2: how it's not like a half an hour?
- 4:14Speaker 3: It's like, well, it's like a couple of hours.
- 4:16Speaker 5: The show yesterday was probably about two and a half hours.
- 4:19Speaker 3: And what does that entail?
- 4:21Speaker 5: So people arrive, they order their drinks, order their food
- 4:25Speaker 5: from the whatever venue we might be playing at, and
- 4:29Speaker 5: then it also kicks off with the Queen's interact and
- 4:33Speaker 5: engaging with the audience, and then we kick off the show.
- 4:36Speaker 5: We're very theatrical with how we go about our production
- 4:40Speaker 5: and how we produce our shows, so Enigma always kicks
- 4:45Speaker 5: off the show as she is the main host for
- 4:47Speaker 5: most of them.
- 4:48Speaker 4: I do host probably ninety nine percent of our shows,
- 4:52Speaker 4: and I think it's important to cultivate an experience from
- 4:55Speaker 4: beginning to end. So when you see our marketing and
- 4:57Speaker 4: you click on the website to buy a ticket, you
- 4:59Speaker 4: get to see the.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Queen's come up.
- 5:00Speaker 4: You see all the fun colors and all of that
- 5:03Speaker 4: all the way until you finally meet me standing inside
- 5:06Speaker 4: the restaurant. And it's just about getting to know where
- 5:08Speaker 4: you're from. I always like to ask the audience who's traveling?
- 5:11Speaker 4: Is anyone from out of town? Just like understanding where
- 5:14Speaker 4: you're coming from and what what made you choose to
- 5:16Speaker 4: come here to spend time with me today, because that's
- 5:19Speaker 4: really important.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yet know what the people's why they're coming, what they're
- 5:24Speaker 2: what that what kind of experience they're looking for?
- 5:26Speaker 5: Oh yeah, And like even in like some of the
- 5:28Speaker 5: areas that we've performed and you get people from out
- 5:30Speaker 5: of the country, we're seeing these types of shows for
- 5:33Speaker 5: the first time, you know, like and it's eye opening
- 5:36Speaker 5: to them. It's a whole new world, right, you know,
- 5:40Speaker 5: And we're really trying to foster a a safe splace,
- 5:45Speaker 5: a safe space for queer artists and entrepreneurs and individuals
- 5:49Speaker 5: to grow and prosper, you know, Like it doesn't just
- 5:53Speaker 5: stop at the you know, drag show productions, it's film production,
- 5:58Speaker 5: it's it's TV production. It's know, potentially taking young producers
- 6:04Speaker 5: thoughts and ideas and turning them into shows and finding
- 6:08Speaker 5: them investors, finding them ways to actually work in this industry,
- 6:12Speaker 5: you know. And we've we've been creating that environment now
- 6:17Speaker 5: and it's time to expand it and grow it. So
- 6:19Speaker 5: coming on shows like this is a great way to
- 6:21Speaker 5: talk about it and you know, get people informed on
- 6:25Speaker 5: what we have been fostering.
- 6:27Speaker 2: So what so now So okay, so you're doing the show,
- 6:29Speaker 2: So now what do you so now you're saying the
- 6:31Speaker 2: next step is to now go into so what do
- 6:33Speaker 2: you said?
- 6:34Speaker 3: You're building something? So what are you building?
- 6:36Speaker 5: So in Central PA, we are working to build a
- 6:40Speaker 5: newly developed sound stage where film and TV can be shot.
- 6:44Speaker 5: We're really trying to bring more multimillion dollar productions to
- 6:48Speaker 5: the area, as well as expanding on the live entertainment
- 6:52Speaker 5: aspect of the production company and really just strike something new,
- 6:57Speaker 5: you know, strike new engagement in Pennsylvania, you know where
- 7:00Speaker 5: we're from, right, you know, and create something that's going
- 7:04Speaker 5: to be lasting and also economically beneficial, you know, And
- 7:09Speaker 5: we want to work with everyone from everywhere you know,
- 7:11Speaker 5: so coming up to New York benefits working there, you know,
- 7:15Speaker 5: going out to la going to London all pulls in
- 7:18Speaker 5: and benefits what our bigger vision is.
- 7:21Speaker 2: So what do you feel so for the in this
- 7:23Speaker 2: So who was sponsoring this sound stage?
- 7:25Speaker 3: I mean, is it already built?
- 7:26Speaker 5: It's it's in the it's in the process of being built.
- 7:29Speaker 5: We're in the works with talking with investors and getting
- 7:32Speaker 5: those things in place. It's probably going to be another
- 7:35Speaker 5: year until the actual physical sound stages. We're starting with
- 7:39Speaker 5: smaller studios and then expanding from there.
- 7:42Speaker 2: So where, so where are you performing now? So on
- 7:45Speaker 2: the sound stage?
- 7:46Speaker 5: So right now, we're performing in tons of different venues.
- 7:49Speaker 1: You want to talk about that. We perform all over Pennsylvania.
- 7:52Speaker 4: We've got in I mean, we've been down in Florida,
- 7:55Speaker 4: you know, we're hearing or we get out to New Jersey.
- 7:59Speaker 4: I've been Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina. You know, we
- 8:03Speaker 4: go as individual artists, we've gone to different places, and
- 8:07Speaker 4: then as a production company, we've traveled as a group
- 8:09Speaker 4: and we've toured. We've worked with some major chains, some
- 8:12Speaker 4: of them that we will not mention, but you know we.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Uh yeah, but definitely Pennsylvania because I was born and
- 8:24Speaker 5: raised there in Lancaster.
- 8:26Speaker 4: That is where I have cultivated my biggest fan base.
- 8:29Speaker 4: And we kind of started there and then expanded out
- 8:31Speaker 4: so those surrounding areas like Harrisburg, Hershey, Philly, which I'm
- 8:34Speaker 4: sure you've heard.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Of, yesore pH Philly.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Philly, Pittsburgh. We go down there to Pultra to do
- 8:42Speaker 4: shows at Helen's store. You know, culture there, which is fun.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Of course, culture.
- 8:47Speaker 3: We love poultry.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Culture. I think I'm wearing a little bit of culture
- 8:50Speaker 1: somewhere somewhere under all.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Really good whatever it's from. This whole strap is her right? Yes, yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 2: the strap, the under, the under unders. She can't get
- 9:01Speaker 2: undressed on I can't get.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Well, you can. We I mean we don't.
- 9:04Speaker 1: We don't want kind of vodka we were.
- 9:09Speaker 3: We say whatever we want if you want to get naked,
- 9:12Speaker 3: as long.
- 9:13Speaker 4: As it's easier to talk when you're naked, because then
- 9:16Speaker 4: you just get rid of all like the nerves. Like
- 9:19Speaker 4: right now I'm sitting here, I'm trying, you know, my
- 9:20Speaker 4: nails are on. I'm like if I just had nothing.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Right they fin It's like you know, well, they tell
- 9:26Speaker 2: you when you public speak, is the picture of the
- 9:28Speaker 2: picture of the audience naked, and you'll feel so much better.
- 9:30Speaker 3: You won't feel that you won't feel that that tension
- 9:33Speaker 3: when you're speaking to somebody.
- 9:34Speaker 5: When you're the producer and the director, you're always you're
- 9:37Speaker 5: you're just always sitting backstage and you're watching everyone's move move,
- 9:43Speaker 5: how their faces reacting. Last night, I actually just sat
- 9:47Speaker 5: there and just listened to how they responded because I
- 9:50Speaker 5: wanted to know, like, what are people what do people
- 9:53Speaker 5: first think? And as soon as the queens walk out
- 9:55Speaker 5: of that gate.
- 9:56Speaker 1: That's so.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Why is your production be different from other from I mean,
- 10:01Speaker 2: I know, I mean I've been to dreg shows obviously,
- 10:05Speaker 2: but what is it? What's the difference, Like, is it
- 10:07Speaker 2: more like is it more like the like like you said.
- 10:10Speaker 5: The act catered? It's a catered show, you know. Like
- 10:13Speaker 5: we work with a more consistent cast, which we are
- 10:16Speaker 5: expanding on. We want to bring more outside queens to
- 10:18Speaker 5: work with us.
- 10:20Speaker 3: How many are working with you right now?
- 10:21Speaker 1: Right now? We have five?
- 10:22Speaker 4: Yeah, we have five contracted core divas and then we
- 10:25Speaker 4: have like a supporting cast which rotates out special guest
- 10:28Speaker 4: spots in our shows.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Right, so they so they'll come in when you have
- 10:32Speaker 2: a spot open for them, like if you needed them
- 10:34Speaker 2: to perform in the specific yeah, so.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Or even like sometimes our crowds are just so big
- 10:40Speaker 4: that we know they're going to expect like a certain
- 10:42Speaker 4: level of performance and we're like, okay, we only have
- 10:45Speaker 4: five on the roster.
- 10:46Speaker 1: We need six or seven.
- 10:47Speaker 3: This time, you know, And it's the biggest crowd you.
- 10:49Speaker 5: Do you have a Well, we have one in February
- 10:53Speaker 5: coming up that's going to be about fifteen hundred people.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Wow.
- 10:57Speaker 5: We did one in Pittsburgh that was around three fifty.
- 11:01Speaker 1: That's probably close. It's probably one of our biggest ones.
- 11:04Speaker 5: We are continuing to grow and expand our network and
- 11:07Speaker 5: how we're doing these performances. And you know, like I said,
- 11:10Speaker 5: it's a it's a curated show that we are expanding
- 11:13Speaker 5: on and figuring out how do we make it, how
- 11:15Speaker 5: do we make it different? You know, how do we
- 11:17Speaker 5: make it better? How do we drive new forces in
- 11:20Speaker 5: Like we have a great cast right now of Enigma, Majesty, Hexa, Ashley, Manhattan, Memphis, Divine,
- 11:26Speaker 5: all amazing queens, and we want to start expanding and
- 11:30Speaker 5: working with other queens from New York and you know,
- 11:33Speaker 5: wherever we can have the.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Show and you have everybody working together. You have the
- 11:37Speaker 2: five five queens working together. So are they doing the
- 11:40Speaker 2: same choreography? Are they dressed similarly? Are they also?
- 11:45Speaker 4: Our shows have themes, so for example, was like Frostbite,
- 11:49Speaker 4: so everyone tried to be within that theme. So whether
- 11:52Speaker 4: it's like wearing things that are icy, things that are
- 11:54Speaker 4: shades of blue, things that are shades of silver, sparkly.
- 11:57Speaker 2: So you're keeping in the same color scheme. But yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 2: doing everybody's doing their whome different.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a big popular when we have a flashback, flashback, flashback,
- 12:06Speaker 4: So we'll do a show that's like eighties, eighties, which
- 12:09Speaker 4: is always gonna you know, sell out, and everyone loves
- 12:11Speaker 4: the eighties.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Well you don't like, I'm an eighties, I'm an ad
- 12:14Speaker 3: That's that's generation X. That's really exactly. We love the eighties.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Some of the best music.
- 12:19Speaker 4: You know, everyone's gonna love an eighties show. I like
- 12:21Speaker 4: to go to other people's shows just to see what
- 12:24Speaker 4: it is that they're doing that works, but also what
- 12:26Speaker 4: are they not doing? And I'm like, okay, see I
- 12:29Speaker 4: see a gap in terms of the entertainment. I'm like
- 12:31Speaker 4: your audience needs to be engaged right at that moment
- 12:34Speaker 4: of the show. So how can I add something in
- 12:36Speaker 4: my show that you're not doing, Because if you have
- 12:38Speaker 4: a gap, there must be one in mind?
- 12:40Speaker 3: What gaps have you found in other people shows that
- 12:42Speaker 3: you think all the time that you see?
- 12:44Speaker 4: The thing I see the most is engagement, like talking
- 12:48Speaker 4: to people, seeing the whites of their eyes and just
- 12:50Speaker 4: getting to build up that rapport with them. People want
- 12:53Speaker 4: to come back to your Like you said, you can
- 12:55Speaker 4: find a drag queen anywhere.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I'm in New York City. I can throw a nail.
- 12:59Speaker 4: And probably hate queen in the hallway, you know what
- 13:01Speaker 4: I mean. So it's like, you have to give people
- 13:04Speaker 4: a reason to come back. And I truly believe the
- 13:06Speaker 4: one blessing that God has given us all, the one
- 13:09Speaker 4: gift that is so unique is our personalities, our place,
- 13:13Speaker 4: the power that we have to connect with people. So
- 13:16Speaker 4: I just we do a lot of games, We do
- 13:18Speaker 4: a lot of just interactive, having interactive moments with the
- 13:22Speaker 4: audience to make sure that we know them and that
- 13:24Speaker 4: they know a little bit about us, so they learn
- 13:27Speaker 4: a little bit about queer community, a little bit about
- 13:29Speaker 4: drag queen, specifically a little bit about each artists and entertainer.
- 13:33Speaker 4: So that way the next time they see a flyer
- 13:35Speaker 4: come up and maybe they see two on the same
- 13:37Speaker 4: date at the same time, they're going to say, I'm
- 13:39Speaker 4: going to go to Enigma show because she talks to me.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Do you post yourselves before and after? And that's something
- 13:45Speaker 2: that would be different.
- 13:47Speaker 4: We do a lot of social media things like that,
- 13:49Speaker 4: like transformation. Often when I come up to you, I'll
- 13:52Speaker 4: do the transformations.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Because I like what you were in my chair without
- 13:56Speaker 2: your dreg celf when you were.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Yeah, well that was that was a challenge. I think
- 14:01Speaker 4: I showed up out of drag.
- 14:03Speaker 2: She showed up out of drag and then had to
- 14:05Speaker 2: get into drag and I did, and you.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Know, surgical rhino plastic yes, and your lips and lips
- 14:11Speaker 4: and then I went into your bathroom full drink and
- 14:14Speaker 4: got into.
- 14:17Speaker 1: That was fun.
- 14:19Speaker 3: But that was that was a good shot. It was
- 14:21Speaker 3: a good shoot.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Because it showed and it showed your transformation in the
- 14:25Speaker 2: aesthetic world, and then it showed your transformation in the
- 14:28Speaker 2: drag world.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Precisely, which is cool.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's kind of cool like speaking to like
- 14:32Speaker 4: the aesthetics It's wild how much power your product brings,
- 14:38Speaker 4: like your brand and your company, Like to someone like
- 14:41Speaker 4: me who is an artist that suffered with a lot
- 14:43Speaker 4: of insecurities and the way you just like cured them
- 14:46Speaker 4: with very simple like holistic means is so impressive, you know,
- 14:50Speaker 4: like my nose, you know, I know, girls, She's like, I.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Don't know if I would categorism as holistic. I guess
- 14:57Speaker 2: you can, because it does heal. It does heal your
- 15:00Speaker 2: persona like when when I used to think my my, my, my.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Work was so was so frivolous.
- 15:07Speaker 2: And when people come back and patients come back to me,
- 15:10Speaker 2: women have gone through breast cancer of women who are
- 15:12Speaker 2: you know, oh sick men, people from from your community,
- 15:18Speaker 2: and they say, You've made me feel so much better
- 15:20Speaker 2: and were confident in myself. And that makes me feel
- 15:23Speaker 2: so happy that I actually made a difference in somebody's Yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 2: I have, you know, I have a few, quite a
- 15:28Speaker 2: few transition and patients.
- 15:29Speaker 5: And the beauty of it, that's the beauty of it,
- 15:32Speaker 5: because like every time that we come up to do
- 15:35Speaker 5: a shoot with you, you know, you're you're you know,
- 15:38Speaker 5: correcting things and doing things you do your pinch and
- 15:41Speaker 5: your poke here and there. You're an artist, you know,
- 15:44Speaker 5: like you are? You really are an artist, you know.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Like you I thank you, Yes, that is very accurate.
- 15:50Speaker 1: You have such a we are.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Yet my biggest fans. I love it. Thank you so much.
- 15:58Speaker 4: I appreciate the talking to you do for us, you know,
- 16:00Speaker 4: we appreciate it just our community in general, you know.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Well yeah, you know, I have a love for your community.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Every year and every year it gets better and better.
- 16:10Speaker 2: And you know, I just I have a you know,
- 16:13Speaker 2: it's it's hearts, you know, a piece of.
- 16:15Speaker 3: My heart, that's for sure.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:16Speaker 2: So, now do you see yourself maybe doing some kind
- 16:21Speaker 2: of reality show or anything like that.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Has anybody approached you as.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Far as that or personally? I would love to be
- 16:28Speaker 4: on reality TV. Everybody knows about RuPaul's Drag Race and
- 16:33Speaker 4: it is an amazing show and I love the platform
- 16:36Speaker 4: that it has built and and the exposure that it
- 16:39Speaker 4: has brought. I'm what you call super fan. So I
- 16:42Speaker 4: watched RuPaul's Drag Race Drag Race All Stars Thailand, Holland, Germany, France, UK,
- 16:50Speaker 4: which is really good. Like I watch all the franchise
- 16:52Speaker 4: spinoffs because I love the show so much. I personally
- 16:56Speaker 4: don't know if I'm going to ever do that show
- 16:59Speaker 4: because I don't necessarily like to compete all the time.
- 17:05Speaker 4: But I love watching it. I'm like, yes, and it
- 17:07Speaker 4: inspires every competition.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Sometimes I just want to do the have the work
- 17:12Speaker 3: and the arnustry.
- 17:13Speaker 4: But I do see a place for me in reality TV.
- 17:18Speaker 4: I'm exploring that. I've had a couple conversations with people
- 17:21Speaker 4: in the last few months trying to see where I
- 17:23Speaker 4: could fit in because the drag for me, I express
- 17:27Speaker 4: my art in that way, but I want that to
- 17:29Speaker 4: not be the focus of why you are interacting with
- 17:32Speaker 4: me or collaborating with me because I'm a drag queen.
- 17:35Speaker 4: That should be like, you know, the last thing, it's
- 17:38Speaker 4: because she's a comedian, or she's an artist, or she's
- 17:40Speaker 4: a model, or she's this or that, you know what
- 17:42Speaker 4: I mean.
- 17:43Speaker 1: So I do see myself on reality TV.
- 17:45Speaker 5: Yeah, And I pretty much am behind the scenes, So
- 17:48Speaker 5: I'm probably most likely going to be creating the reality TV.
- 17:53Speaker 5: I love the production and direction of it, and I've
- 17:56Speaker 5: worked on, you know, several different projects, and you know,
- 17:58Speaker 5: we have several different products within our own production house
- 18:01Speaker 5: that we are working towards right now.
- 18:03Speaker 1: You've produced a couple of movies. Yeah.
- 18:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I've produced a couple of morees and currently producing
- 18:11Speaker 5: a comic book series and video game series called Zara
- 18:15Speaker 5: and the Thieves of Light. It just released. It is
- 18:20Speaker 5: a very cool Uh, it is a very cool project.
- 18:23Speaker 5: I'll show you this is the cover and so I
- 18:29Speaker 5: wish I was artistically.
- 18:34Speaker 1: How do they do it on like like TikTok where
- 18:36Speaker 1: they like hold it in front of I don't know,
- 18:40Speaker 1: the internet. Yeah, very cool.
- 18:43Speaker 5: So this is a this is something that our production
- 18:47Speaker 5: house rather is putting together and producing. This is just
- 18:50Speaker 5: one of those many projects that we're working on. And
- 18:53Speaker 5: the characters are a cast of queer characters as well,
- 18:57Speaker 5: so like there is a paper level and understanding to
- 19:01Speaker 5: the entire series. It is available now. People can go
- 19:04Speaker 5: out and purchase it from our production house. Zarah theso
- 19:09Speaker 5: Light dot com.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I'm just gonna plug that.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Then.
- 19:12Speaker 4: That's a great example of another one of the ways
- 19:14Speaker 4: where we're just trying to support our queer community and
- 19:18Speaker 4: uplift people in areas where you may not first think
- 19:21Speaker 4: like a queer artist, a queer movie maker, a queer
- 19:25Speaker 4: comic book designer. You know, like those are things that
- 19:28Speaker 4: you wouldn't necessarily expect queer people to need help with,
- 19:31Speaker 4: like getting up on that platform and getting that kind
- 19:34Speaker 4: of exposure. But with having that the comic book, I
- 19:37Speaker 4: think it's so cool.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Are you? Are you a comic book merge? Im?
- 19:41Speaker 2: I like, like, I'm not a Marvel not I'm not
- 19:44Speaker 2: saying like that.
- 19:45Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Wait, wait, so you don't watch The Avengers.
- 19:48Speaker 2: I like, I like Wonder Woman. I'll watch watch Yeah,
- 19:51Speaker 2: but I'm not I'm not a big no. I just
- 19:53Speaker 2: I don't love those big blocks.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 19:57Speaker 2: I don't like the big blockbuster movies like that because
- 20:00Speaker 2: they feel like they're too commercial.
- 20:01Speaker 5: Okay, I get that to me.
- 20:03Speaker 3: I guess I'm more. I am like more of the
- 20:06Speaker 3: art part of it.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I feel like that they're so commercial
- 20:09Speaker 2: that that's probably why I don't really want.
- 20:11Speaker 6: I have to tell you even though I did love
- 20:13Speaker 6: Star Wars. I mean, everybody loves Star Wars. Was amazho
- 20:18Speaker 6: doesn't love Star Wars. I love Star Wars. I stand
- 20:20Speaker 6: outside of movie theaters. I'm that person who will stand.
- 20:23Speaker 3: In line and watch and to watch The Avengers, to
- 20:26Speaker 3: watch they watch.
- 20:28Speaker 4: No shame, I'll do it again in five Dynasty, like
- 20:32Speaker 4: I will be there. I love superheroes. That's a big
- 20:34Speaker 4: part of my childhood but also my drag. When people
- 20:38Speaker 4: like to describe me, they're like, you kind of look
- 20:40Speaker 4: like a superhero. You do have like the Wonder Woman body,
- 20:43Speaker 4: And I think that's literally how I tried to project yourself.
- 20:47Speaker 4: And Wonder Woman has those sides. She has her when
- 20:49Speaker 4: she's in battle and her armor, and then she has
- 20:51Speaker 4: when she's like sitting at the UN summit, you know,
- 20:53Speaker 4: talking about climate change, which is very important, you know
- 20:58Speaker 4: what I mean. So, like superheroes are really big for me.
- 21:01Speaker 4: It surprises me that you're not into them. You look
- 21:03Speaker 4: like wonder you know.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I like, like I said, I love wonder Woman. I
- 21:07Speaker 2: used to love Linda Carter watch Watch when I was
- 21:11Speaker 2: a kid, Like I.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Was like that was loved.
- 21:15Speaker 3: She was the best wonder Woman.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Did you ever watch Xena the Warrior Princess.
- 21:18Speaker 3: I watched the Princess.
- 21:22Speaker 1: She's amazing. She's amazing.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I like her. But I'm not, like I said, I'm
- 21:25Speaker 3: not a big Avenger.
- 21:26Speaker 2: I mean, I love Batman, like but original Batman, not
- 21:29Speaker 2: all not the doc d C.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Batman.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I don't know, I like Michael Batman like. I like
- 21:35Speaker 2: that Batman like I don't like I like the corny
- 21:38Speaker 2: one that's funny.
- 21:39Speaker 3: I like the King Batman. I kind of like George Clooney.
- 21:43Speaker 2: I didn't I did like what's his name is? It's yes,
- 21:49Speaker 2: I'm not. I don't like the DC ones.
- 21:51Speaker 3: I like the I like the more the more like yeah, yes,
- 21:56Speaker 3: I mean. I love Christian Bale.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I love Christian male hot. He's very high.
- 22:01Speaker 3: American Psychle was one of my favorite movies.
- 22:04Speaker 4: That's another good thing about going to see these super hierocines.
- 22:06Speaker 4: I mean, who doesn't want to watch Chris Hemsworth on screen?
- 22:09Speaker 4: But I do like Spider Man, Okay, I like the
- 22:12Speaker 4: scrawny one. I like and low meat on my I
- 22:17Speaker 4: like the last.
- 22:18Speaker 3: One when they had all the last three.
- 22:21Speaker 1: That was cool.
- 22:22Speaker 2: That was so where they had Toby Maguire then they
- 22:24Speaker 2: had the other one.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I was you're literally trying to pretend you're not a
- 22:27Speaker 1: nerd for the camera.
- 22:28Speaker 4: But I've never seen all of these movies that I
- 22:32Speaker 4: don't watch watch.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I can't love Avengers.
- 22:36Speaker 1: They love them, but you won't watch the team ups.
- 22:38Speaker 1: You'll just watch.
- 22:41Speaker 3: The whole of Justice bullshit, it's me.
- 22:44Speaker 1: It's a lot.
- 22:45Speaker 3: I just it's it's just a lot going on, but
- 22:48Speaker 3: I like to separate. Listen, I love, I love.
- 22:51Speaker 2: What's his name, Superman? You didn't want too passed away?
- 22:55Speaker 2: Which is Christopher Rees.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, he was amazing, He was amazing, was the best.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Oh he was, he was And Lois Lane. I loved
- 23:04Speaker 2: talking she was the best. She was a great Lowis Lane.
- 23:07Speaker 5: So you love that, you love the classics.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Yes, he's the only one that was that was really
- 23:16Speaker 2: he was the only one had the different identity. Did
- 23:19Speaker 2: you know that, like a Superman was one of the
- 23:21Speaker 2: only superheroes who was born a superhero.
- 23:24Speaker 3: He wasn't made a superhero. Think about that.
- 23:27Speaker 2: He was born from Krypton and he was a superhero,
- 23:30Speaker 2: right he was born, and then.
- 23:33Speaker 3: His his alternate ego was his his was.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Claw Kent everybody else right, it was Peter Parker was
- 23:42Speaker 2: with Spider Man, but his ulterinate ego was Spider Man,
- 23:45Speaker 2: so it was reversed.
- 23:46Speaker 1: So it's pretty cool, And.
- 23:49Speaker 5: It's funny because I thought, it's like, I've never either,
- 23:54Speaker 5: but I was like trying to follow unconsciously. I've known that,
- 23:58Speaker 5: but I've never like really like talked about it out.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Wow.
- 24:01Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it's never been like put to pieces. The
- 24:04Speaker 5: pieces have never put together.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Even Wonder Woman wasn't born one the Woman. She was
- 24:08Speaker 3: always an Amazon Woman and always but she.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Was even technically born. She was forged to play.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Exactly and then she and then she came and she
- 24:17Speaker 2: became one of the Woman. Wonder One was just Alter
- 24:19Speaker 2: the Eagle because she was always not she wasn't born.
- 24:22Speaker 2: But Superman was one borught a superhero.
- 24:24Speaker 4: She was always Diana Prince. Her mission was to be
- 24:27Speaker 4: an embassy envoy to the world.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Not a superhero.
- 24:30Speaker 3: I know that. I know the back.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Inviting you to the next guy. I love Dragons.
- 24:37Speaker 5: I love it because it started out, you know, like
- 24:39Speaker 5: she wasn't really into it, but then we pulled it
- 24:41Speaker 5: out of her and there it was.
- 24:45Speaker 4: Like everybody loves the Avengers, well maybe not the Avengers
- 24:49Speaker 4: because they love some of those movies.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Spider Man, Yes, I like the Separate yeah, separate one.
- 24:56Speaker 2: So as far as your next show, it is like,
- 24:59Speaker 2: how how many do you do you have? Any So
- 25:01Speaker 2: you said you had one that's for fifteen hundred people.
- 25:03Speaker 2: That's now, what are you guys doing for the summer,
- 25:06Speaker 2: are you going to think about touring and trying to get.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Some other Yes, and summertime is Pride time. So we
- 25:13Speaker 5: do a lot of shows in the month of June
- 25:17Speaker 5: and July revolving around Pride. Next year we plan to
- 25:21Speaker 5: do it like double overhaul, focusing a little bit more
- 25:25Speaker 5: on a Pride tour that would last June and July
- 25:30Speaker 5: and expanding from there. So yeah, we we definitely have
- 25:32Speaker 5: plans on, you know, building out a whole new show
- 25:35Speaker 5: for for next year. In terms of summer shows.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's I love it. It's it's a Pride with
- 25:41Speaker 1: you next year, ye.
- 25:44Speaker 2: About to come because this year is going to be
- 25:46Speaker 2: every year it's been bigger.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Okay, so we need to talk about it.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I know.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Okay, here, here's what happened.
- 25:53Speaker 4: I didn't come to Pride this year, now I know.
- 25:58Speaker 1: No, No, it wasn't a show, gonna tell the trip
- 26:00Speaker 1: it was this year.
- 26:02Speaker 4: It was I started a nine to five and the
- 26:05Speaker 4: man wouldn't let me out, he wouldn't give me off.
- 26:08Speaker 4: And then you know what happened when they found out
- 26:10Speaker 4: who you were and.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Who the kind of people that were at the party,
- 26:14Speaker 1: they were like, well, why didn't you just go. I'm like,
- 26:17Speaker 1: because you said I would lose my job, so I
- 26:24Speaker 1: was not.
- 26:24Speaker 4: I missed it, but it wasn't my own choice. I
- 26:26Speaker 4: will be here next I will be here. So you
- 26:30Speaker 4: have you have to dar an Orthopedics.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Well, I'm so glad you guys came on the show
- 26:37Speaker 2: today and I appreciate you guys coming in to see me.
- 26:41Speaker 3: And I love you always drive up to see me.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Yes, oh, you always make the journey.
- 26:46Speaker 3: I know you always make the journey.
- 26:47Speaker 5: We make the drive, we make the climb the girl.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Yeah, we have to. I'm gonna have to start swimming.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Maybe we'll have to watch well, maybe I'll watch Avengers
- 26:56Speaker 2: with your next time.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to get you a ticket. I'm going
- 26:58Speaker 1: to bring you.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Right so the next moment that comes down, we are
- 27:04Speaker 2: we gonna go. Want see if you could.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Get dressed up and everything. I'll totally dressed up.
- 27:10Speaker 2: When I used to go to Disney World, I used
- 27:12Speaker 2: to dress up as Jasmine all the time.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Okay, totally.
- 27:19Speaker 2: I have all my kids dressed up as a princess,
- 27:21Speaker 2: and I would I was dressed up as because Yeah,
- 27:25Speaker 2: so I have no problem dressed up.
- 27:26Speaker 3: I do wonder Woman.
- 27:28Speaker 4: You would do wonder Woman, Yeah, I would like to
- 27:30Speaker 4: do one fighting but okay, you do, but you could.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Do I could do Linda Evans wonder Woman. You could
- 27:36Speaker 2: do like what's her name? Yeah, so we could do
- 27:41Speaker 2: a different version.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Look like her?
- 27:44Speaker 3: Thank you. I don't, but I don't thank you.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I don't.
- 27:47Speaker 3: I don't feel like I look like her and she's
- 27:49Speaker 3: so beautiful.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 27:56Speaker 3: I'm just gonna have a bunch of meetings mom.
- 27:59Speaker 1: For I sit there at night with my but I
- 28:05Speaker 1: don't know.
- 28:05Speaker 3: What to say or I want to say something.
- 28:07Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm want to offend that that
- 28:08Speaker 2: I would say something offend, defend them by.
- 28:10Speaker 4: I don't think I can be offended. You've got to
- 28:13Speaker 4: try to offend. It's like effort. You have to really
- 28:18Speaker 4: have to grow insult her.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I'm pretty good at insulting. But I have no reason
- 28:23Speaker 2: to insult you, and I don't think you would have
- 28:25Speaker 2: to give me a reason to.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I don't want to give you one. I don't want to,
- 28:28Speaker 1: least not today, not tomorrow. I do not want to.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I've heard you yell yes. I don't want any of that. Jeff, Yeah,
- 28:39Speaker 1: I like that.
- 28:40Speaker 3: It's pretty bad. It's pretty bad. Well, I am so
- 28:43Speaker 3: happy that you both came in to see me and
- 28:47Speaker 3: I love you both.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Thank you.
