- 0:00Hi, this is Stephanie Maas.
- 0:02Today I wanna talk to you about candidate risk aversion.
- 0:06Some real aversion to making moves and some of the reasonings behind
- 0:11it have been, you know, the phrase, Hey, I don't wanna be last in,
- 0:15first out when the recession comes.
- 0:17I know we're not in recession now, but I wanna be smart about that.
- 0:20Hey, you know, I don't, I don't know how all this is gonna shake out and
- 0:23I don't wanna be R in my decisioning.
- 0:26I'm gonna kind of wait and see, see what happens, et cetera.
- 0:29Some of it has been.
- 0:31There's just been a lot of newer players come into our market and folks
- 0:36are saying, Hey, you know, we, we, we are gonna wait and see what they do.
- 0:40Let's see how committed they really are to being here.
- 0:42It's not a new concept.
- 0:45We have definitely seen it throughout the years.
- 0:48I wanted to share this message, especially for, you know, hiring managers.
- 0:52If you've sensed frustration in your recruiting efforts, if you feel
- 0:57like, Hey, I've been on a search and I haven't seen the quantity
- 1:00of candidates that we normally do.
- 1:02This is a lot of what's going on.
- 1:05And the same time candidates, if you are having these feelings,
- 1:08believe it or not, and this sounds weird coming from a recruiter.
- 1:12I still believe that making a career move is a tremendous
- 1:16decision for you and your family.
- 1:18If you are not sure, you probably do need to wait.
