- 0:18Speaker 1: Good morning. This morning, the Word of God comes to
- 0:21Speaker 1: us speaking to us about hope. It's a beautiful word
- 0:26Speaker 1: throughout the Word of God that but sometimes if we're
- 0:29Speaker 1: not careful, we seldom take heed to exactly what it
- 0:33Speaker 1: means to have hope. And as I got before the
- 0:36Speaker 1: Lord this morning, I really feel like perhaps somebody here
- 0:40Speaker 1: today in our morning moment's family here on our podcast,
- 0:44Speaker 1: really needs a word about hope. See. They say that
- 0:49Speaker 1: the opposite of fear is faith, and although I do
- 0:53Speaker 1: believe that is true, I do sometimes I think we
- 0:56Speaker 1: use those two together so much because perhaps you know,
- 1:00Speaker 1: maybe they all start with the same both start with
- 1:03Speaker 1: the same letter. It's kind of easy to remember faith
- 1:05Speaker 1: over fear, right, But I also believe that the opposite
- 1:09Speaker 1: of fear is hope. See. Fear will sink you, but
- 1:15Speaker 1: hope raises us up up to a level of expectation
- 1:20Speaker 1: that things are not only going to get better, but
- 1:23Speaker 1: it brings us to the marvelous light where we can
- 1:26Speaker 1: see that things actually are better than what we are
- 1:30Speaker 1: visualizing in our minds. I think today an illustration that
- 1:35Speaker 1: I heard many years ago of a man who was
- 1:37Speaker 1: trapped in an underground cave and what he did. He searched,
- 1:41Speaker 1: and he searched, and he searched for a way out
- 1:43Speaker 1: of that cave, and the whole time fear is all
- 1:47Speaker 1: around him. Finally he gets to the place where fear
- 1:52Speaker 1: begins to take over. He begins to think about not
- 1:56Speaker 1: making it out of this cave. He begins to think
- 2:00Speaker 1: about his loved ones, things left undone, things that he
- 2:04Speaker 1: should have said, things that he wanted to accomplish in
- 2:07Speaker 1: his life. And fear brings all of that baggage that
- 2:11Speaker 1: comes with dying or failing before we realize all the
- 2:15Speaker 1: things we want to do. But then, all of a sudden,
- 2:19Speaker 1: he feels a gentle breeze pass and blow by him,
- 2:24Speaker 1: and he knows that that breeze indicates that there's an
- 2:26Speaker 1: opening somewhere, And all of a sudden, his fear gives
- 2:32Speaker 1: way to hope. See Hope rises, Hope gives him the
- 2:37Speaker 1: expectation that things are not as bad as they seem.
- 2:40Speaker 1: He now has hope, and hope gets him up. Hope
- 2:44Speaker 1: gets him looking, Hope gets him out. Praise the Lord.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Whatever life is holding for you today, don't buy into
- 2:53Speaker 1: the fear. Let your life be led by the hope
- 2:59Speaker 1: that it only comes through Jesus Christ, our Lord. We
- 3:03Speaker 1: see in Philippians chapter four and verse number six, where
- 3:07Speaker 1: Paul writes, be careful for nothing. That means not to
- 3:10Speaker 1: be anxious for nothing, But in everything, by prayer and supplication,
- 3:16Speaker 1: with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.
- 3:21Speaker 1: See that brings us hope. Today. Today I pray a
- 3:25Speaker 1: blessing upon you. I pray a blessing upon your household,
- 3:29Speaker 1: upon your family, upon everything that you're going through right now.
- 3:34Speaker 1: In the mighty name of Jesus, I speak hope over
- 3:37Speaker 1: your life. Take a deep breath today, settle in, calm
- 3:44Speaker 1: your heart, calm your mind, calm your soul, and take
- 3:48Speaker 1: some time to just take a little time and spend
- 3:52Speaker 1: a little time with Jesus today. Above anything else you
- 3:57Speaker 1: could think of today, I want you to think about this.
- 4:03Speaker 1: If you have Jesus Christ in your life, you have hope.
- 4:08Speaker 1: And hope is not I hope it's going to happen
- 4:12Speaker 1: as in doubting that it will. Biblical hope is a
- 4:18Speaker 1: guaranteed expectation of things that are already settled. That's why
- 4:24Speaker 1: we have a blessed hope in Christ. Jesus, so today
- 4:29Speaker 1: you be safe, you be strong, and you always be blessed.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I hope you have a great day, and I pray
- 4:35Speaker 1: that you live today with an abundance of hope, because
- 4:41Speaker 1: hope can raise you up above your greatest fears. Lords
- 4:47Speaker 1: will see you back here again tomorrow. Until then, as always,
- 4:52Speaker 1: I sure hope you have a great day.
