- 0:05I need to put some cucumbers over my eyes.
- 0:06I have baggy eyes. You might have to.
- 0:12Man, said my eyes baggy. Hey boys, we live.
- 0:16Welcome back to another edition of the Be Forever Cool podcast.
- 0:19My name is Rex 45. We got the crew in the building
- 0:23on Vroom Vroom Wednesday. We got Cheetah, 740, Smitty, and
- 0:27the one and only Bobby Shakes. What's going on, fellas?
- 0:30What's happening? Today.
- 0:32How's everything going? Not bad, not.
- 0:35Bad, nice, nice. You know, as always, guys, we're
- 0:37starting to in in our orders, but yeah, how's it going today,
- 0:40Cheetah man? Good man, good, good man.
- 0:42Just happy to be back, you know? I couldn't, I couldn't come on
- 0:45earlier bro. But this is, it was a lot of
- 0:47racing to catch up on this weekend.
- 0:49I couldn't do it honestly all in the weekend 'cause I was busy
- 0:52and I had to get a lot done. I did watch a few of them live,
- 0:55but man, there's a lot of lot of crashes, man, a lot of crash
- 1:00drama going on that we can we can really unpack here in a
- 1:03second. Nice, nice.
- 1:05Yeah, there's a lot man 'cause it was 3 days of not three days,
- 1:09a weekend of three different major series going on, Motor
- 1:12America Moto GP and World Super Bike.
- 1:15So there's definitely a lot to talk about and a lot of action.
- 1:18I was packed into that to this past weekend.
- 1:20Smitty, what's good man? How you doing man?
- 1:22Pretty good. I can't go playing this weekend.
- 1:24I caught probably all of you know, the GP racing some of
- 1:28Motor America and worse and worse by I didn't catch much
- 1:32much at all this weekend though. But Moto GP was great man.
- 1:36I love very many of you, you know so.
- 1:38Yeah, no, it was definitely Action Pack and you know, it was
- 1:42one of the few races that in the main GP race that ended with
- 1:45only ten guys. And so we'll definitely dive
- 1:48into that. Bobby shakes, man.
- 1:50What's good, man? I know you got like, how many
- 1:52podcasts are you doing right now, man?
- 1:5555, man, man's a busy man. What's good, man?
- 1:59I'm I'm out of Moto GP and super bike I'm done what?
- 2:06Do you mean? Guys, this right here is worth
- 2:12nothing. Money has no value.
- 2:17Hype has no value. I see when I see Marquez do the
- 2:22Internet meme dance after winning, I've lost all respect
- 2:30for Marc Marquez. You are a champion, you are a
- 2:35leader. You're not supposed to follow
- 2:38the hype. You set the trend, you don't
- 2:40follow the trend and that's what it means to be a champion.
- 2:44Very disappointed. Top rat could do it because he's
- 2:48not one of us. He's not a winner, he's in the
- 2:50lower division. Once you get into that winner's
- 2:53circle, you have to behave like a leader.
- 2:56I think I'm out on Ducati. It's been a while since I've
- 3:00done a thing with Bobby. Man, I forgot.
- 3:04He's a nut case. Yeah, we, we're, we're going to
- 3:07have to get Bobby on his, his meds, man.
- 3:10But you know, it's going to be an interesting show for sure.
- 3:15But let's talk about the show guy.
- 3:16Let's talk about the Moto GP. You know, I ask a general
- 3:20question with your thoughts of the overall weekend.
- 3:23You know, it's record-breaking crowd for the Saxon ring, over
- 3:27250,000 people. The, the qualifying was
- 3:31ridiculous, you know, a lot of a lot of competitive, competitive
- 3:35riders, competitive manufacturers outside of Ducati.
- 3:38Obviously it was some crashes that happened and stuff like
- 3:40that for some riders and you know, they didn't get a chance
- 3:42to race over the weekend. So definitely a lot.
- 3:45And the main GP was crazy. Moto 2 was crazy.
- 3:48So we'll start with Cheetah. What are your thoughts on over
- 3:51all weekend? Man, it was a it was a crazy
- 3:53overall weekend. The most memorable things are
- 3:55just you know, the stuff that happened in the Sprint, you know
- 3:58all the cup. The good manufacturers doing
- 4:00great right now, Aprilia, Yamaha, KTM, they're doing well
- 4:04in the rain right now. We're seeing the comeback with
- 4:07from 93 when he ran wide in turn one had to come back through all
- 4:10the pack and easily made it happen.
- 4:12Everyone expected that. And then the the drama from
- 4:15Sunday. Oh my goodness, everybody went
- 4:17down putting people in positions that they've never been in in
- 4:21this whole series. You got people in the upfront
- 4:23category they shouldn't really be in because half the grid went
- 4:26down. There's only 10 people.
- 4:27So you know, it was just a, it was a crazy weekend, crazy
- 4:30track. Situations, conditions that they
- 4:33push through. These are killers, these are
- 4:34warriors. They push through everything and
- 4:36and gave us a show at the end of the day.
- 4:39Nice. They did.
- 4:40They did man. Smitty, what are your thoughts?
- 4:43No, I kind of, you know, left piggyback of what Cheetah just
- 4:46said, but it was odd because of this past weekend.
- 4:50If you take Saturday's Sprint race and you know prior to that
- 4:53turn 8 was taking everybody out turn 8, but then the actual race
- 4:57on Sunday was turn 1. So I'm trying to, I still can't,
- 5:00I still can't understand why it happened because the races were
- 5:03dry, right? So the turn 8 just killed
- 5:07everybody Saturday and turn one on Sunday.
- 5:08But like you said, 10 guys finished, which was like the
- 5:12second lowest ever since like 19, like 90 something a long
- 5:16time ago. So very, very, very historic
- 5:19weekend. Also what was cool because it
- 5:21was Mark Marquez's 200th, 200th start.
- 5:25It was Alex's 100th start, and then it was also Marquez's ninth
- 5:30win, which is the most wins at one track ever.
- 5:34Also, he took over second place officially by passing Augustini,
- 5:39so he's #2 now in all time minutes behind Ross.
- 5:42So this weekend, you know, like it.
- 5:44The week was historic in many ways, you know.
- 5:47So, right, right. Yeah, I, I think, and, you know,
- 5:50we'll talk about it some more with the crashes.
- 5:52I think because they had, Saturday was wet and I think
- 5:56they usually figure out a lot of stuff in the Sunday GP on in
- 5:59the, in the Sprint race. But you know, Saturday was such
- 6:02a, a wet day. I I think that's the issue that
- 6:04he just didn't have enough time, But you know, we'll, we'll, like
- 6:07I said, we'll dive more into that Shakes man.
- 6:09What are your thoughts of, of the GPI?
- 6:11Know you said you're done. So, you know, I, I don't know
- 6:14how this is going to go. I think somebody walked into the
- 6:21paddock, knocked on Jorge Martin's door and said what are
- 6:28you going to do now? Aprilia's hair.
- 6:33It's a winning bike. We're we're seeing the momentum
- 6:37as as we get deep into the season for seeing a Prillion
- 6:40making that run. That's all I was worried about
- 6:43because we know it's we know it's an Alex and we know more
- 6:46Badeli is going to fail me again.
- 6:48It's been my dark horse all season.
- 6:51We know that. We know Alex is going to do his
- 6:54thing. We know Marquez is going to do
- 6:56his thing. We I thought that Honda would
- 7:01have won with all the crashes because the only way Honda could
- 7:03really win is with the crashes or train more friends, an act of
- 7:07God. So that was the most surprising
- 7:09thing. But I think Jorge Martinez got a
- 7:12he got a wake up call. What are you going to do?
- 7:14What are you going to do? It's the bike can win.
- 7:19Can you win? That's it.
- 7:22Yeah, we'll see next. Week.
- 7:23We'll see. I I completely agree with that.
- 7:25And we'll talk about daddy. I mean, I think the big boss
- 7:28also gave him a few choice words.
- 7:31But yeah, man, like, you know, Cheetah, I know it's your turn
- 7:33to ask the question. So we let's see what you got
- 7:36man. Oh man, I hadn't even thought of
- 7:37one. But if we had to bring one up, I
- 7:41guess I'm going to ask, was Mark Marquez dropping oil on this in
- 7:47the race? Because everybody behind him
- 7:51that was in leading behind him, Bez Digi besides Alex.
- 7:56Alex was behind him too. Maybe he gave him the brother a
- 7:58little pass. Maybe he told him I'm going to
- 7:59drop oil on lap 2, lap 3 on the right side or something because
- 8:02Zarko, Acosta, everyone behind him, boom, went down 567 people
- 8:07and then all of a sudden you got Marini Binder all of a sudden in
- 8:09top 10. The second place curse.
- 8:12Yeah, so I mean, what's going on, man?
- 8:14Is it Marquez Manor right now? That's what they said, right?
- 8:17It's Marquez Manor and he's not putting his foot off anyone's
- 8:21neck right now. Right, you know, I I agree with
- 8:24you as far as it is. It is Marquez what we already
- 8:27knew the saxoring as Marquez is. But it seems like the the title
- 8:30is coming close to the summer break Smitty.
- 8:33So I think the title, you know, might be out of reach for anyone
- 8:38else. So I might, I might, I might
- 8:40finally throw in the towel, I've said.
- 8:43It says race. 1 No, I, I, I feel, I feel really bad for
- 8:48Bazecki and Digia because one Bazecki had a rough year last
- 8:53year on, on trying to get that 23 bike right for, for on the
- 8:57Ducati. So for him to be back up front
- 9:00like he was in 2022, I know he feels really good.
- 9:03So that I mean, even though he had the one the win in
- 9:06Silverstone and he had the the two podiums in Aston, he was
- 9:12close and he seems to be the closest guy to push mark at the
- 9:15moment. DJ is finding his way.
- 9:17And I think it's the same thing these guys are are getting.
- 9:20They're riding the fastest they've ridden all year and now
- 9:23they're seeing they're finding out their limit limitations or,
- 9:26or they're finding the limits or trying to manage the limits.
- 9:28Because you know, when you're back in 8th and 9th place or 7th
- 9:32place or anything like that, you, you still have to deal with
- 9:34the rider in front of you, But but when he's out out front like
- 9:37that, So I feel really bad for those two crashing.
- 9:40Also Acosta, you know, Acosta, that was that was, you know,
- 9:43that's that, that like that was that was really bad because you
- 9:47know, same thing. He's had a tough time last year
- 9:50and you know, to see all those guys go down, you know, out.
- 9:54On the plus side, it helps out Marini because coming back,
- 9:57getting a 6th place for Honda, you know, that's a good look
- 10:01because Arco is another guy that, you know, he was second on
- 10:03the grid and crashed out as well.
- 10:06And, and so that that it, it's I don't think it's Marquez's oil
- 10:09coming off the right boot. But you know what?
- 10:14I'm. Saying, I mean, listen, Mark,
- 10:15Mark was on a different level, man.
- 10:17He was the only person hitting consistent 20's the whole race
- 10:21and nobody could get into the 20s.
- 10:23And then he started dipping into 20 ones later in the race.
- 10:26But Rossi's only chance Digi went down.
- 10:29You know what I'm saying? He was right there and he was up
- 10:31there giving everyone a shot for that podium, but unfortunately
- 10:35he goes down. So it would have been him and
- 10:36Bez probably battling it out honestly.
- 10:39But unfortunately, you know, both those guys went down.
- 10:41So yeah. All right, Smitty, what do you,
- 10:45what do you want to add to that? No.
- 10:47No, no, I mean, I kind of agree with Green.
- 10:49You know what I thought he said. But like I said, I still don't
- 10:52understand why people kept crashing.
- 10:53Honestly, just it doesn't make any sense.
- 10:55You know, probably they saw Marquez and try to match his
- 10:58pace. It couldn't do it.
- 10:59And and you know, they kind of wrote above their limits and
- 11:02that's why they crash. But it was always turn 1.
- 11:05So but it can't put my finger on why it kept crashing, you know,
- 11:10and then but hold on Marquez, as usual.
- 11:16I'm not saying hold on. Well, Rex, so you just said that
- 11:18they're trying to push to get closer to him.
- 11:22They aren't. They're just happy to get second
- 11:24place, that's all. Honestly man, I think those guys
- 11:26are all fighting for 2nd place now 'cause they know they're not
- 11:28beating Mark. They might not win, they might
- 11:31not win the championship, but they're not fighting for 2nd
- 11:33place. None of those guys are none of
- 11:36listen man, I I know it's easy to say, but there's nobody
- 11:40fighting. Maybe some cat Tantra, but
- 11:42there's nobody else fighting for 2nd place.
- 11:45Like you know, Bez is out of the VR46 Academy.
- 11:50Did you? He's on the bike.
- 11:52Them guys are not trying to fight.
- 11:53Rossi don't believe in second place.
- 11:55Come on man. That's that's Rossi.
- 11:57It's a different. He's the owner of the team, so
- 12:01he's not going to have riders who are trying to phone at home.
- 12:04OK, Rex, all right, listen, it's racing, you know, racing.
- 12:06There's their pockets of racing, right?
- 12:08There's Group One through 5, six through 10 and so forth, right?
- 12:13And those first five guys are trying to get first place.
- 12:16Those, you know, six through 10, they're kind of seeing OK, you
- 12:20know, what can I can I hit the third spot on the podium?
- 12:22They may probably a best top five right now.
- 12:26There's one pocket and that's Mark that everybody else is
- 12:29their own pocket of racing. Be honest with you this it ain't
- 12:32going to happen. Mark is the only guy that could
- 12:35beat himself so far this year. But but has Mark lost like like
- 12:41yet? I mean like get gun and beat
- 12:43straight up yet. Has he?
- 12:45Not yet. He's been close.
- 12:46OK. Then but but you know, I mean,
- 12:49if he, if you know, he crashes out so other people have won.
- 12:52I mean, there's three, there's there's two other winners.
- 12:55So I mean, you know, it is what it is.
- 12:57What are your thoughts? So different sport, but on
- 13:04topic. 50 days before the NFL season start and you have the
- 13:09Cleveland Browns. You have the Rams, you have
- 13:14Chicago Bears, you have the Patriots.
- 13:17Everybody goes to mini camp thinking we're going to the
- 13:22Super Bowl. Right.
- 13:23Every team thinks that they're going to go win the Super Bowl,
- 13:27So why would a raid, a writer, a professional think you know
- 13:32what? Yeah, I'm a professional.
- 13:34I'm going to go for second place.
- 13:38Come on. Another thing I'd like to add to
- 13:41our friend Cheetah here. Welcome back, Cheetah.
- 13:43I love you. But it there seems to be a
- 13:46terrible, terrible conspiracy with everybody on this show.
- 13:50Every time Mark wins, it's oil from his boot.
- 13:54And he waited for the last minute to run off the track to
- 13:58change tires. He's he's going really hard and
- 14:03then he's slowing down so Alex can catch up.
- 14:06Why can't we just be legendary guys?
- 14:09Why? Why can't we just be legendary?
- 14:12Why can't we just give the man his props?
- 14:15He's great, everybody sucks and that's it.
- 14:19There's no conspiracy. He's not cheating.
- 14:22He's just legendary. I just want to hear that one
- 14:24from everybody on the panel. Nah.
- 14:28He is legendary. No, no doubt.
- 14:30I mean, he's he's one of the greatest writers to ever ride.
- 14:33No, he's not saying he. We're not saying he's not.
- 14:36He's the goat, but the goat. But at the end of the day, you
- 14:39know, magic was nasty. Jordan was nasty, but if you're
- 14:43in Boston, you know you're rooting for Boston.
- 14:44It is what it is. I mean, you know, so and I have
- 14:48nothing. I have nothing against Marquez
- 14:51at all. But at the end of the day, those
- 14:55other riders on the grid, you know they want to win.
- 14:58Yeah, yeah, they do. And I want to respond.
- 15:00I want to get a chance to respond to Bobby Shakes.
- 15:04The thing is, you comparing football to motorcycling First
- 15:10off is a sin. Right.
- 15:13Because one, you're talking about a team sport versus
- 15:16individual. So every team may come together
- 15:20and bond together and say we're going to make it to the Super
- 15:23Bowl, right? But when you out there by
- 15:25yourself on the bike you've been on and you continue to push by
- 15:29yourself and your team is just sending you messages that you
- 15:32see on your dash and at the every start finish line you see
- 15:35a message saying how far someone is behind you or in front of
- 15:38you. That's all you get.
- 15:40So at the end of the day, you might have to settle for 2nd
- 15:43place. If you know racing, that's how
- 15:46it goes. You just.
- 15:48Know the better man is the better man.
- 15:50It comes out and qualifying pretty quickly starting the 1st
- 15:545 minutes. You can tell if you're watching
- 15:55the time there's a guy out there that's just putting it down
- 15:58early. Still 3 seconds off race base
- 16:01but you just out there already faster than everyone.
- 16:04So let's just cancel the season and give give Marques a trophy.
- 16:07Nobody gives up though. People are still going to go box
- 16:11if it's a boxing match, no matter how good the other person
- 16:14is, right? You don't give it your all, but
- 16:16there is a reality on not to chase Mark Marquez because
- 16:19you're going to burn your tires out chasing a guy like that.
- 16:22Yeah, you're going to crash or you're going to burn your tires
- 16:24out. Not be ready to push the half
- 16:26the rest of the day's distance to keep Pekko behind you.
- 16:29If you're Alex, right, you can't chase your brother.
- 16:32You know how fast your brother is.
- 16:33So does the rest of the grid, though.
- 16:35So it's ain't a team four man. It's different.
- 16:38You get humbled pretty quick. But but that could be the
- 16:42problem with the sport. You ever seen those NBA teams
- 16:45where the bench is still talking about they got a ring, they
- 16:47never played it? How many minutes?
- 16:48You play no minutes, But they can still brag about it because
- 16:51that's a team sport. The team carries you.
- 16:55Right, but there's also Team 2IN Racing, there's a.
- 16:58Kind of, yeah, but. There's a team if you're a
- 17:01boxer. Annex.
- 17:02There's engineers, there's a whole team behind you, and I get
- 17:05it. Yeah, it's you on the grid, but
- 17:09I don't think anyone on that level, if you're on that level
- 17:15and you're just going to do the the the bare minimum and you're
- 17:21not going to push it. Fans want to see pushing it.
- 17:23I want to see you push it on ball tires and crash.
- 17:27And I say that's what I want. I don't want to see.
- 17:29Guess what? The difference is the difference
- 17:32is you want your team. Your team can you can fumble the
- 17:35ball. Your team will pick it up and
- 17:36might make the goal. Right.
- 17:38You crash out there or you lose that boxing match 'cause it's a
- 17:42one-on-one boxing. Is not.
- 17:43Racing or similar? No.
- 17:44Guess what? Your team blames you afterwards.
- 17:47You do that a few times. Now what?
- 17:50They want to kick you off. That's your livelihood.
- 17:52That's what you're putting money on.
- 17:53Food for your family down right? So it's totally different bro.
- 17:57It's like real. It gets real up there.
- 17:59They are struggling and fighting and clawing for every seat they
- 18:02have up there. And 2nd place is better than no
- 18:05place in Richmond. Right.
- 18:07But yeah, as we saw in all those crashes, I don't think the top
- 18:10three guys we're trying to finish second because they,
- 18:15they, they, they, they would have slowed down a little bit
- 18:18And and they were not and and and not only that, the, the day
- 18:21they're going to want you. They don't want to see that
- 18:23you're pushing. They don't want to see that
- 18:24you're not full gas. All right?
- 18:26They're just, they're not, they don't like, you know, so at the
- 18:28end of the day, they ain't got no choice but to send it or, or
- 18:32get on the podium. You know what I'm saying?
- 18:37Shakes man, you got you got one for us.
- 18:42I got one for you. Yes, I got one for you.
- 18:46And I think, I think you're going to love this.
- 18:49One, I have to stop this after tonight.
- 18:52Can we finally, according to Cheetah, right?
- 18:56And if we all, everybody agrees with Cheetah, can we finally put
- 19:01Pekko to sleep? Can we rock him to bed and say
- 19:05it's over? And after this show, I don't
- 19:08want to hear Pekko's name again until we get second or first
- 19:11place. Rex won't do that.
- 19:14No, I I need to know he. Gave him a chance to ask a
- 19:16question Rex, and this the question he brings.
- 19:18I need to. Know I'll let you guys go first.
- 19:24No, no, no. This is directly for you.
- 19:27I want to know, are we? Are you going to agree to me and
- 19:30say, Pekko, it's over? Just manage the race.
- 19:34Don't go for first or second because the paddock is going to
- 19:37be mad at you. Can we put Pekko's name to rest?
- 19:40Smitty, You, you want to hear? You want to see Pekko's name to
- 19:42rest, right? We don't want to hear.
- 19:44Him talk. How, how, how?
- 19:45Wait, wait. What is how many?
- 19:49How many? How many points is he behind in
- 19:50the championship? Like 100.
- 19:53Yeah, it's like 100. Like 100.
- 19:55So he was so he was the first time he won was he was down 90
- 20:00came back after the the summer break and you know, didn't make
- 20:05too many mistakes after that. So until until there is more
- 20:10points than fewer races give. A straight faced hand this shit.
- 20:14He it's it's it's possible, man. Anything is possible.
- 20:18Anything is possible. So, you know, Tom Brady was
- 20:23down, you know, to you boys down in Atlanta by whatever halftime
- 20:27and they came back you anything is possible.
- 20:29So, you know, in sports, you know, there's there's not a lot
- 20:32of Cinderella stories, right? But this would be a good one if
- 20:36there's ever to be won in Moto GP, right.
- 20:38So all I'm just saying is when there's fewer races than points,
- 20:43then I'll say it's over. Yeah.
- 20:46I don't believe you mixed fixed football games in with racing,
- 20:50but that was that, that that was good.
- 20:53I like that that was. So not yet, but soon.
- 20:57I, I, I will say this, right, I think that Digia is helping
- 21:02Petco in the sense that he's figuring out a way to go fast on
- 21:06that 25 bike. And since he, Digia did that
- 21:09what, 3 rounds ago, Petco's been getting a little bit quicker
- 21:13later in the, in the beginning of the races and stuff like the
- 21:15main race, the, the Sprint race. I don't know what to say about
- 21:18that. You know, anything is possible.
- 21:21You know, that's all. That's all I'm going to say,
- 21:22Shakes. You know, to quote the great
- 21:25Kevin Garnett, anything's not possible.
- 21:29You haven't. Answered my question are you put
- 21:31I mean it was great I loved it what are they called that in
- 21:35Congress when you get up and you just talk and talk and talk
- 21:37filibuster. That was a great filibuster.
- 21:39The question was are you putting back peko to sleep or not, yes
- 21:44or no as far. As far as beating Marc Marquez,
- 21:47it's what? You're it's over for him for the
- 21:51year, yes or no? I think that I.
- 21:53Think that Peko has a better chance of beating Marquez in a
- 21:58race than he will in a championship?
- 22:00I'll give you that if. Mark crashes.
- 22:03Yes, yeah. You are correct.
- 22:04Yeah. Just listen man.
- 22:06What is the win like like like don't the last time I put
- 22:09stipulation on wins. I know it's difficult down
- 22:12there. I don't I don't want to say bad
- 22:13things. A lot of people that.
- 22:15Put in front of Petco to win. Honestly if even if it wasn't
- 22:19for Mark, Alex is better right now.
- 22:21You got you got, Alex. You got Digia and you got Abez
- 22:24right now, right? And.
- 22:26Acosta is is. Starting to get in there right
- 22:28so there there there are a few more people he's going to have
- 22:31to battle with for for this whatever is leftover from the
- 22:34Marquez brothers OK Rex the. Answer is yes.
- 22:37Or no, I I mean he's it's a no. It's a no, man.
- 22:42It's a no. It's like until it's over, it's
- 22:44over, man. I mean, I, I, you know, that's,
- 22:46that's how I look at it. So I'm sorry man, it's not over
- 22:50yet, but Rexy. Run to the crowd now.
- 22:53And cornea? There, check it out.
- 22:56I got to push back some. You can't say that a win is a
- 23:00win. That's how everybody.
- 23:04Around the world says a win is not because.
- 23:07All wins don't feel the same to who?
- 23:10The guy. Listen to the people that's.
- 23:12Winning or the people that's watching people winning if Pekko
- 23:15wins. Because Mark and Alex both
- 23:17crash. I think it feels the same.
- 23:18I said beat the mark straight up.
- 23:20No, it doesn't. Yeah.
- 23:22Yeah, the point. So, so, So what?
- 23:23You're trying to say is then. So based on that, what you're
- 23:26trying to say is the last year's championship.
- 23:30Since Mark has been out and hasn't won, they should be
- 23:34asterisk next to the championships.
- 23:37I'm not saying that, but. I don't feel the same.
- 23:40You know I'm right, man. No, no, no.
- 23:41But I think I know what both of y'all are right?
- 23:43I think the case is like if someone crashes out, like mark
- 23:46crashes out and somebody else wins, they deep down know that
- 23:49they wouldn't have won that right under that under any other
- 23:52circumstance, right? Only other circumstances
- 23:55possibly has the worst start, botches the start and has to
- 23:57make his way back up or he has a a shitty qualifying or he
- 24:01doesn't mistake in qualifying, get super penalized and get sent
- 24:03back to the grid, right? That's the only chance you see
- 24:06someone like this not just coming out there on 1st every
- 24:09single time. This is the Michael Jordan of
- 24:11this time right now. Do you think those those guys
- 24:15say it on camera when somebody crashes out and they don't feel
- 24:18it? You think they feel bad cashing
- 24:20that check for sure. Or not.
- 24:24They still won the race, you know, because you have to finish
- 24:26the race, guys. Yeah, you got to.
- 24:28That's what I mean. It is.
- 24:29That's part of race and it's finishing.
- 24:30And yeah, you know, we can say this in every sport.
- 24:34The best team doesn't win. The best players don't win,
- 24:36right? And, and, and the other teams
- 24:39that that beat, you know, I don't want to, you know, the,
- 24:43the, you know, the, you know, I don't want to call out too many
- 24:45teams, but it's sometimes the best team don't win.
- 24:49And, and, and and that's that. Yeah, yeah.
- 24:52But that's. The thing, right Like the
- 24:53fastest rider doesn't win either.
- 24:56It's the most consistent fast rider.
- 24:58The guys can't just be fast for three laps or five laps or 10
- 25:01laps or 15 laps. You have to manage the tires at
- 25:03the very beginning of the race. You have to manage in the middle
- 25:06when you suddenly get the itch to chase someone or someone puts
- 25:08a pass on you. You might want to burn up your
- 25:10tires. But you got to understand
- 25:11there's still 1015 more laps to go because these GP riders are
- 25:15racing 2628 laps. So you have to manage the same
- 25:18set of tires for that long. The fuel load's changing, you
- 25:22know, everything's changing. You're changing your mapping
- 25:24along the way. You know, everything's working
- 25:26through. So these guys are like surgical
- 25:28the way they race, you know, so they have to manage all that.
- 25:32You can't, you have to be very smart, man.
- 25:33You can't just burned it all up in the first 5-10 laps, that's
- 25:37for sure, like we do in club racing, right Smitty?
- 25:40We got 6 laps, 8 laps, 10 laps at the longest burning tires.
- 25:46Yeah, I use same. Set for second set of second
- 25:49race if I need to, you know what I'm saying?
- 25:50So you can't do that in in this kind of league, man.
- 25:53It's a different thing. What do you think about that
- 25:55Bobby? You know Rex left his.
- 25:57Peckle, though, yeah, I didn't. Know Rex's camera went off I'm
- 26:00I'm still here though. I'm sorting that out.
- 26:03Unbelievable. Come on man, sort it out.
- 26:09Man, right, I mean. You know this is ridiculous.
- 26:11Take off the lens cap. That'll help.
- 26:13No, no, it's. Not that it's, I know, I know
- 26:16it's something else. But go ahead and Ben and I think
- 26:19it's your turn to ask a question.
- 26:20I'll get I'll get it sorted out. Oh, OK.
- 26:23A. Question.
- 26:23Let's see what I got for you. So with Pedro.
- 26:27Costa lying up Moto 3 and Moto 2 and supposedly was crowned as
- 26:33the next guy in line behind, you know, the Rossi and the Marquez
- 26:36and why is it struggling so much Is it him mentally or is it the
- 26:40bike that he's not doing that good on like what's wrong he?
- 26:44Came to the GP class and met a few aliens at a UFO encounter.
- 26:50Like, you know, that might have been part of it because he is
- 26:53still top five, top 6 right now. You know, I truly think that's
- 26:56the case, You know, so when you come to Moto GP, guess what?
- 27:01The top six people were probably front runners in Moto 2 some
- 27:05some years ago. Zarko, you know, he's a
- 27:08champion. So you have guys like this that
- 27:10are in there running top seven, top eight that that can't make
- 27:13it the first or second. So this is the best of the best
- 27:16of the best. And so you just you, there's no
- 27:19BS ING in this, right? And to take it back to teams
- 27:22versus individual sport, at the end of the day, when you're out
- 27:25there, there's no team to save you, bro.
- 27:27The team can't fight for you and the team can't race for you.
- 27:30They're sitting back there, praying and hoping with their
- 27:32fingers crossed, like Mark's dad, right?
- 27:40Yeah, that's like Rex. On Acosta.
- 27:43I'm sorry. I missed that cool question.
- 27:45Can you say it again? The Acosta.
- 27:47Was the man in Moto 3 the man in Moto 2 by a long shot.
- 27:51He was supposed to be the next, you know, alien to come in and
- 27:53kind of just challenge Marquez or be at least be close to where
- 27:57Marquez is and beat everybody else.
- 27:59Why? Why is he not doing doing that?
- 28:02Is it the team? Is the bike?
- 28:04Is it him? Is he just not there mentally?
- 28:06Like what's wrong with Acosta? It's the bike.
- 28:09The bike. The same reason why.
- 28:11Marcus on a Ducati and didn't stay with Honda, I think.
- 28:15And, you know, we can't sit here and say that Bialis is a slouch
- 28:19or Bastianini or Bender who's been there forever, you know?
- 28:24So it's the bike. I will say it's good to see the
- 28:27KTM as far as they've been this past round and stuff like that.
- 28:31So there's hope for that. Will they get to the will they
- 28:33get over the hump to challenge Ducati?
- 28:36I don't, I don't know. I mean, you know what I mean?
- 28:38Right now, Aprilia is looking really good, but they're they're
- 28:41still in the mix. So, yeah, I think it's just it's
- 28:43the bike and that's why the rumor mill is out there saying,
- 28:47you know, he wants to he wants to go to VR46 Academy.
- 28:50But did you and Frank and and Frankie are like, Nah, Nah, we,
- 28:54we, we happy right here. We're good.
- 28:56We're. All in, right.
- 28:57Now, right? You know what are your thoughts?
- 29:01Shakes on that 2. Thoughts.
- 29:04I agree with. I agree with Cheetah.
- 29:08He's just around other aliens. Everybody has an idea till they
- 29:11get punched in the mouth. And.
- 29:15I think the issue is it is the bike.
- 29:18There's a small little component in the motor.
- 29:22That's failing. Like really tiny, small, like
- 29:24you can't really find it. So until they find that little
- 29:27little part and the bike will be fixed, Come on 45, stop with the
- 29:31excuses. The bike.
- 29:33Come on, come on. You're a professional supposed
- 29:37to ride that thing. I don't want to hear it's the
- 29:40bike, but I get it. I I think.
- 29:45You make a lot of excuses. You have to be a little bit
- 29:48more, you know, lenient with your, with your talk.
- 29:51Do you think that's what it is? I don't think that's what.
- 29:53It is. It could be on the bike's been
- 29:55great on the bike's been there KTM.
- 29:59Yeah, KTM, No. No KTM.
- 30:00Has not been there. KTM is not they.
- 30:03They haven't been on the podium. I mean, besides Maverick, I
- 30:05should say. He's in and they got taken away
- 30:08from him. They haven't been on the podium.
- 30:10So it is definitely when when you got 4 riders, well, I'll
- 30:15give Bastion in your pass. You got three riders that that
- 30:19that can that are really competitive that are kind of
- 30:21all, you all see them kind of fall back towards the end of the
- 30:23races and stuff like that. So they're they're having issues
- 30:26with that bike and KTM knows that and the the what's his
- 30:30name? Brett Pitt, Pitt Pitt Pitt
- 30:34Brier. He do he, he.
- 30:37The the. CEO Well, he stepped down.
- 30:40He he just runs the race program now, you know, and the guy in
- 30:43the wheelchair. Oh yeah.
- 30:44The the prieto or something like that.
- 30:47Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he even said it in an
- 30:49interview that, you know, because he was asked that over
- 30:52the weekend, you know, about the rumors about with, with Acosta.
- 30:57And he kind of says when you're young, you know, you, you don't,
- 31:01you don't realize that you should you should marry, you
- 31:04know, you're married with your wife and you have to stay with
- 31:06them. When you're young, you want to
- 31:07still look at girls and stuff like that.
- 31:09And that was his analogy about Acosta being being young, that
- 31:13he wants to flirt and look at other options.
- 31:15But, you know, when you get older, you realize where you
- 31:18need to be. So.
- 31:21But he also said that, you know, the bike is not where it is yet.
- 31:24And and so that's kind of what they're trying to, you know,
- 31:28sort out. And, you know, they're a young
- 31:30program still. You have to remember they're,
- 31:32you know, they're still a young program compared to Honda and
- 31:34Yamaha, right? They're still a pretty young pro
- 31:37and Aprilia, right? They're still a pretty young,
- 31:39young program. So yeah, man, it's still, it's
- 31:42definitely the bike. I would have to.
- 31:44I would have to. Disagree with you, I know they
- 31:46haven't got podium all season but we can't be a prisoner of
- 31:50the moment right? Previous coming Honda's stolen
- 31:54some but the bike that has challenged Ducati year to year
- 32:00has been this season has been has been KTM.
- 32:06For some reason they fall apart. But if you were to look at the
- 32:11standings without Aprilia showing and Honda stealing some,
- 32:16you would say the second best bike on the grid.
- 32:18You'd have to give it to KTM and for some reason they can't
- 32:22finish the race and they can't get on the podium.
- 32:25But to me, in my opinion, I want to be consistent all season.
- 32:28KTM to me looks to be the second best bike on the grid.
- 32:33Well, not the second best bike, the 7th best.
- 32:39Now you want to. You want to.
- 32:42Answer him Cheetah. I want to say something.
- 32:46No, I mean I. Think it's it's going to be
- 32:48interesting the the way the season finishes just because all
- 32:51these brands are coming up. But to Smitty's point, I mean,
- 32:54yeah, I think I answered that that question.
- 32:55But like, if we're talking about brands, KTMI don't think is is
- 33:01there yet and they keep trying different things.
- 33:05They consistently are trying different arrow packages for all
- 33:08three riders, consistently testing out different rear ends
- 33:11to try out the chatter issue to tame that down.
- 33:14So obviously they're in a battle and a struggle to figure that
- 33:17that bike, that perfect setting. And once they get that, they try
- 33:20to keep that and maneuver around that setting for a little.
- 33:23The Gray area around it. They don't try to deviate too
- 33:26much from what I've heard, but once but right, it sounds like
- 33:29they're really haven't found that thing yet because once they
- 33:31do and one rider likes it, like when Maverick was doing well on
- 33:34it, granted the tire pressure issue I think is caused him to
- 33:37get DQ back or something like that.
- 33:39He was, they used the setup, I believe the next time they like
- 33:42talked about it. So they were looking at his
- 33:43data. How how's it clicking?
- 33:45How's it work? How's he up there right now?
- 33:47So clearly that stuff helps when a rider does get that click and
- 33:51it works and he steps ahead in that race, they will use that
- 33:55and they will find that nugget. Maybe that's the right hand
- 33:57corners track. And they were like, OK, we know
- 33:59how to set this bike up for that way, right.
- 34:02But that that's how they build and and grow in my opinion.
- 34:04They're not there yet though. No, I don't, I don't think.
- 34:06So and shakes Ducati's battling Ducati for the title.
- 34:11This year they did it last year, they did it the year before and
- 34:15before that Katwara got one. So you know, there, there hasn't
- 34:20been any bike close to Ducati in a little bit.
- 34:24And and that second place is still a little ways away.
- 34:27Now. You know, like I said, Aprilia
- 34:28and KTM are are very close in the sense of like, you know,
- 34:32they're they're starting to get on the podium and stuff like
- 34:35that. And who knows what they're at
- 34:36the second-half of the season is going to look like.
- 34:38And you know, hopefully when, oh hey, Martin comes back, we may
- 34:42see some leaps and bounds with with with Aprilia.
- 34:49I think the leaks of bounds. Are happening now without Jorge
- 34:51Martin. I I think I've been saying this
- 34:55all season. I think KTM has been the 7th
- 34:57best bike on the grid. We can talk about that on
- 34:59another show a previous making a move and I think Bez is like
- 35:04man, this is my time to shine. You know, it's, it's it, you
- 35:08know, it's like you're, you're breaking in the houses and then
- 35:11you find one when the door open and you just go in and it's
- 35:14like, Oh my God, they left the door open and and they and they
- 35:17left cookies on the table and there's milk and there's,
- 35:21there's a pair of slippers and a robe for me to take a bath.
- 35:24It's what Martine has done to Bez.
- 35:27Is is, is crazy. It's like, here you go, brother.
- 35:31It's it's not. It's not the same exact same
- 35:34thing with what happened to Lorenzo, but at the end of
- 35:39Ducati and Lorenzo's spent even though Lorenzo was winning the
- 35:43the relationship was already severed.
- 35:45So even if Martine comes and have a beautiful second-half and
- 35:49next year wins the title, I don't think Aprilia will keep
- 35:53him after that. No no.
- 35:54Agreed. Agreed.
- 35:58So that's the. That's the tough part.
- 35:59But let's talk about the, the you know, I, I mean, I know
- 36:02Smitty's question, why the, the, the only 10 riders finish, but
- 36:08you know, there's some crazy crashes.
- 36:11You know who's Morbidelli's hurt Maverick?
- 36:16Hurt Maverick. Is hurt just.
- 36:17Had surgery. It was great to see Luca back,
- 36:20but Luca was, it looked like he was in a lot of pain.
- 36:23Alex's back looked like he was in a lot of pain.
- 36:25What do you guys thought about just, you know, seeing, you
- 36:29know, the beginning of the race, how it was going and then, you
- 36:32know, you know, up to 4 laps left, you know, dudes that was
- 36:35on the podiums were crashing out.
- 36:38Yeah, yeah, It's just. Unfortunate man like.
- 36:42I mean, I'm. Sure.
- 36:43They all have a collective thing to say about what went wrong
- 36:45there on that track or what's causing them to crash that much.
- 36:48Cause a lot of those crashes were in the same areas.
- 36:51So it's interesting, a lot of manufacturers down.
- 36:54It's not just one thing going on, not a right or mistake that
- 36:57put everyone down. Definitely was happening
- 36:59consistently. So did anyone, I don't
- 37:02understand if anyone ever really understood what was going on
- 37:05with the track that was making that happen.
- 37:07But I know track conditions change when it rains and it gets
- 37:10hot again and all that. They may not have gotten the
- 37:13chance to get that optimal set up on qualifying for this
- 37:16specific race. So I don't know.
- 37:18Yeah, very interesting. Frankie but his crash was pretty
- 37:22bad though. Frankie's.
- 37:24Oh yeah, yeah. So he'd.
- 37:26Probably be out for a while it looks like you know, but luckily
- 37:28one race then they got the summer break.
- 37:30So he's, he's been having a. Tough luck with crashes.
- 37:34You know, you know what I mean? From last year to this year, he
- 37:37he might be the new Miguel because and, and you know,
- 37:40again, when these guys, you know, I think they feel that I
- 37:43think they taste that they can get on a podium, you know what
- 37:46I'm saying? And, and, and those guys are are
- 37:47taking a little bit more risk than some of the other guys for
- 37:50sure. Gotcha.
- 37:56All right, well before we. Move on to World Super bike.
- 38:00I want to talk about Moto 2 and what were the crashes with?
- 38:06Well, crashes. And also Dennis on 2 won the
- 38:10race, which, you know, it's just one of the first time I've seen
- 38:14Dennis smile 'cause he, even if he's on the podium, if it's not
- 38:17first place, it's like he just wants to break the trophy.
- 38:20Like he's allergic to 2nd and 3rd place.
- 38:24Did you guys see Moto 2 and would you think of that?
- 38:27Also, the crash with Maria and who was it?
- 38:35Who did he take out? Well, there's one with Maria
- 38:37Alonso Lopez, right? I believe it was.
- 38:41Alonso Lopez. There's one with Albelina, not
- 38:43Albelina Arenas, right? There's another one with Arenas
- 38:46as well. I'd always with Davio Alanza.
- 38:50Davio Alonso who? Who ran into the back of Maria
- 38:56Diego Maria. Yeah, I didn't get to watch.
- 38:59Auto 2. I'll be honest, I'll let Smitty
- 39:00go. No, I saw the.
- 39:02Highlights. I think I.
- 39:09Think the. Way we could correct this in
- 39:10mortar to just put the blinkers back on the bikes so we can know
- 39:15when the guys coming back on the track.
- 39:16Or you can just implement your your hand signals right?
- 39:19So you just come off the handlebar and you go like this.
- 39:22That means you're making a right turn and you just everybody,
- 39:24everybody knows that you're taking the right turn or just
- 39:27put your blinker on right, because we all hate people that
- 39:30just comes out of the left lane into the right lane without
- 39:33using the blinker. We want just use your blinker.
- 39:35That's all. And then we can fix motor to
- 39:37just put the blinkers back on the bikes because clearly been
- 39:40watching motor to all season. Those guys need blinkers.
- 39:44This guy got to wipe off after. That right we charged.
- 39:50Today I I was called. Back of.
- 39:54Water too right there, too right it.
- 39:56It was pretty. Cool to see again Dennis Anshu
- 39:59winning. His brother won in in World
- 40:02Super Sport. And then obviously Top rack one.
- 40:05Let's talk about the Super bike races over in, I forget where
- 40:09they were. Huntington.
- 40:11Yeah. Dunnington Park.
- 40:12Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What do you guys think of of, of
- 40:15the racing and, you know, the struggles that happened with the
- 40:19Lowells brothers? Yeah.
- 40:20I mean, it was the Lowells brothers crashing, struggling
- 40:26early and crashing early in Race 2.
- 40:28I mean, Top Rank just simply dominating, you know, just
- 40:30completely hat tricking everything and then winning,
- 40:34winning all three races and then just securing even Super Bowl
- 40:36qualifying everything, right? It's just all handed to him.
- 40:40You had the drama, the crash one that I was talking about
- 40:43earlier, that was Wildman, Bautista and Sam Lowe's and
- 40:47everyone get crashed out. No, no, I'm sorry.
- 40:49Bautista. Yeah, that was Bautista.
- 40:51That's right. Bautista, Sam Lowe's.
- 40:53And it was another rider that went down.
- 40:55I forget who was Montella or something like that.
- 40:58Yeah, man, it was crazy. It was crazy just to.
- 41:00Watch all that drama. Very exciting race man.
- 41:03And are we surprised that Sam Lowe's crashed out?
- 41:08Now to hear Lewis tell her, Nah. Yeah, Lewis was.
- 41:12Bashing him he. Doesn't let all.
- 41:16Yeah, yeah. What are your thoughts, man?
- 41:20Smitty what my thoughts is I was.
- 41:22Kind of shocked to see how I was talk right down later, you know,
- 41:24because last year we thought Bulleger was, you know, the new
- 41:27guy in town and talk right, OK, well he's on his way out going
- 41:30to GP. He's not the same anymore.
- 41:32But he came back and said, Nah, I'm still a talk, right, that I
- 41:35was the year before and this this is still my show.
- 41:38So you got to beat me and he proved that he's still the guy
- 41:41in the beat and were and were super bike and what and Buttiga
- 41:44Bell. You know, he's still solid, but
- 41:46he's not top rack. So right, right.
- 41:49Yeah, I mean, I, I think that he's, he started in a, you know,
- 41:52I'd have to look at the grid position exactly.
- 41:54But he didn't he, he wasn't on the 1st row Buliga, you know,
- 41:59and so he had to come through on some riders and there was some
- 42:02fast riders. Granted, the Lows brothers
- 42:04crashed out, but Petrucci was fast.
- 42:07Ray was fast in the beginning as well, you know, so you know,
- 42:12that's the unfortunate side, but he was able to, you know, to at
- 42:15least minimize the damage. I think he's just down 4 points
- 42:18going into the next round. And I think he also had bad luck
- 42:22at the previous race and was and was taking out one of the races
- 42:25and didn't score any points and stuff like that.
- 42:27Bulaga and also had an engine failure at another round.
- 42:30So you know. You know those things happen.
- 42:34But I, I, I think Buluga has the pace to, to, to, to fight with
- 42:39top rack. If he's starting on, on, you
- 42:41know, the same row, you know, if he's starting from the back,
- 42:44then it's anybody's game. Gotcha.
- 42:46But then Gerloff had a solid weekend also.
- 42:48He had a top six and won the races.
- 42:51Yeah. This was just, this was just Top
- 42:53Rack's circuit, right? He won there.
- 42:55He's got the most wins there now.
- 42:57At this point, I think they said it was like 12 wins, 12th win on
- 43:00at at at Donington. So I mean he's you're expected
- 43:04to win there. I I think Bulliga will come back
- 43:06though this season. I think he's definitely got a
- 43:08chance. He's he's too strong and given
- 43:11those failures he had and all that happening, he's only four
- 43:13points behind. I think the next rider is 100
- 43:16plus points again, just like Moto GPI mean.
- 43:18These guys are like Mark and Alex right now as far as Bulliga
- 43:22and Top Rack, right? They're like Mark and Alex,
- 43:24except there's not much of a gap there.
- 43:26You know, it's going to be much more interesting in World Super
- 43:28Bike on who really wins that championship.
- 43:30I think it's going to be much more.
- 43:31Interesting, and I'll ask this, who do you think is more hungry
- 43:34out of top rack or Buliga 'cause you know it's Top racks last
- 43:38year as he's going to Moto GP and so this is his last
- 43:41opportunity to get a win and Buliga hasn't had one yet in
- 43:45World Super Bike, I think top rack.
- 43:47Man, he's just built that, got that dog in him, just like that.
- 43:51Pure dog, man. And he's going to prove a point
- 43:54by winning this season to come into Moto GP real strong.
- 43:58You know, I think he's just going to do that.
- 44:00But again, he's going to come there and have another UFC alien
- 44:04encounter, man. He's going to run into these
- 44:05fucking UFOs and be like, what is this?
- 44:08You know it's going to be. Interesting.
- 44:11Let me go back to worst. Super bike.
- 44:13And then Al. Rose complaining again about the
- 44:15whole weight the weight thing. Well, I mean I.
- 44:19Think that's so that's a good point for a small guy, man.
- 44:22I mean, you know, I think you know, there's something about
- 44:29getting used to your machine to make it feel like it's like it's
- 44:32it's an extension of you. And this guy's been racing his
- 44:35whole life a certain way and he's a he's not AI think if he
- 44:39was a younger rider, he probably would adapt a lot easier.
- 44:42But he got too many miles on bikes And, and I think that he
- 44:47just needs more time on the bike.
- 44:49And, and I think that's the downside because he's not
- 44:51getting another year. So, you know, that he may go to,
- 44:55I don't know. I he'll probably go to Honda
- 44:57somewhere. I can't see him going to a, a
- 44:58satellite team. But I I think for him that's a
- 45:01real struggle. And it's a pity though, because
- 45:03you know what I mean, It like that has to be frustrating for
- 45:06him, right? Yeah.
- 45:08I mean. Yeah, I get it.
- 45:10But. And he's a dog, right?
- 45:11He's not a he's not a slouch. He's definitely, you know, I
- 45:14mean him it was him and top Rock, right.
- 45:16I mean he had two, two back to backs and and and he was the guy
- 45:19to beat Top Rock. But you know.
- 45:22You are correct, but you know what what what?
- 45:25Folks fail to even realize that even though he's adding weight
- 45:29weight to the bike he has, it brings with one advantage him
- 45:34having these ballots of lead or whatever metal they use.
- 45:38You could put it where you want. Which in a sense.
- 45:41OK, so say the bike bike like but the corner of like exit and
- 45:50really is too much. OK, add, add add you know, more
- 45:54weight to the front. Or let's say you know you're on
- 45:57the brakes, any kind of unstable.
- 45:59OK, add weight to the back so you have some play in there.
- 46:03It's got a total like habit. Hammer to the guy, the ways to
- 46:07work around it, you know, But I got to assume.
- 46:09Then you messing with the suspension and the geometry
- 46:12because that's going to change. Other thing.
- 46:13It's not as simple as just but correct.
- 46:16But you think about this, right? How long how how you like to
- 46:20figure out where to exact? I mean, I'm pretty sure because
- 46:22they've been adding weight to bikes for a while.
- 46:24So it's not like starting from the beginning, but at the same
- 46:27time you're going to have to be putting it on separate parts,
- 46:30separate different sections of the bike and go out there and
- 46:33test it and test. And I don't know, they might
- 46:35have to put in 100 laps before he's like, all right, it feels
- 46:37good. You.
- 46:38You. It's not he's.
- 46:39I don't believe you know what I mean.
- 46:42It's like, it's like trying to balance the tire you put on the
- 46:45response to the you know, it's balanced.
- 46:47It takes time, but but adventure.
- 46:48You know. Cars don't care about.
- 46:50Feelings and bikes don't care about feelings, but we humans
- 46:53do. It's like don't feel right.
- 46:55I mean, you know that, you know, I guess in the car it's a little
- 46:58different because it's just the vibration.
- 47:00But I don't I think for him it's a struggle and you know, and for
- 47:05other riders it may it may not be because I mean in motor
- 47:08America, they've added way to to the Yamahas, the R Nines, right
- 47:12and Blake Davis just went out there and was killing it and you
- 47:15know, you see the I don't well, it's motor America.
- 47:18So I mean, I think that for everyone, it's going to be a
- 47:20little bit different how they adjust the things.
- 47:22We saw that with with more Bodelli coming over to Ducati
- 47:26and and the first year, how long it took him to get quick on on
- 47:29the bike and stuff like that. And there's some other riders
- 47:31that it just takes a little bit longer for them to get up to
- 47:34speed and than others. And, and you know, that's the
- 47:37downside, but he's also an older rider and you know, but I think
- 47:42if the bike was less weight, had the weight he had when he was
- 47:46winning, I think it would be a three.
- 47:48It would be a three dog fight instead of A2 dog fight.
- 47:52Yeah, I don't know. I think he's aged out a little
- 47:54bit, you know? After a certain age, it hurts.
- 47:58So you don't. You don't like falling down
- 47:59after a certain Yeah. Yeah, I don't know.
- 48:02Like Johnny Ray. Yeah.
- 48:04Skill does go man it. I mean skill not necessarily
- 48:07goes, but the ability to put that skill down.
- 48:10You know what I mean? We all have flexes and skills,
- 48:14you know. I remember I I used to train a
- 48:16lot in Muay Thai and boxing and I used to hit the bag a lot.
- 48:19All of a sudden I took like 6-7 years off and I go back and
- 48:22start hitting the bag. I'm still hitting it hard but
- 48:25but my my fists were not ready. My.
- 48:29My wrist. My.
- 48:29Fist everything was sore and I couldn't even hit the bag for a
- 48:32while. So it's just like you have to,
- 48:34you have to take your time into that and then skill will go,
- 48:36man. I mean, hand eye coordination is
- 48:38a big one in motorcycling. And I don't know how fast I
- 48:42would have been if I started when I was 20, right?
- 48:45But I started when I was like 28, you know, so and I was
- 48:49luckily able to pick it up quickly, but I I wish I would
- 48:52have started when I was 20 because you you have much more,
- 48:55you know, cojones is what they call it.
- 48:57Yeah, look. Right now my kids are grown.
- 49:00So right now I'm kind of in grandfather mode.
- 49:02You know I told my I told my kids one day look y'all need
- 49:06kids man. And many of that kid is born
- 49:09Project Marquez, I'm telling you.
- 49:12Maybe we can talk about. That man, I don't know if you're
- 49:14open to that, Rex, just pace and age and everything we were
- 49:17talking about earlier. You can you can bring that up
- 49:19again if you want. Yeah.
- 49:20And. I mean, I, I think that's the
- 49:22thing for sure, obviously, because we see, I mean, we see
- 49:26older riders leave, but then we also see we're at an age where a
- 49:30lot of tennis players playing at high levels in their 30s.
- 49:35You know, Tom Brady played high at a high level later in life.
- 49:39Michael Jordan played at a high level later in life with the
- 49:41Wizards. Even though he was on the
- 49:42Wizards, he was still averaging ridiculous points.
- 49:45Look at the stats, look at the stats.
- 49:46He's averaging like 29 points a game still, you know, So he, he,
- 49:50I mean, I want knee, you know what I'm saying?
- 49:53So, you know, and you, you know, you've mentioned this before,
- 49:57Smitty, Josh Hayes started, you can come if I'm wrong and you
- 50:00know, started racing at like 26 or whatever.
- 50:02So he was an older guy racing and he's in his 50s and, and
- 50:07he's still, you know, running with these guys in, in super
- 50:09sport. You know what I mean?
- 50:11So I. Think for every person that's
- 50:14different, but usually people over a certain age start to tap
- 50:18out, don't want to, you know, don't want to get up at whatever
- 50:22time, don't want to make the drive, don't want to do a lot of
- 50:24things. And and once that creeps in,
- 50:27then yeah, I, I can see that. But for somebody, you know,
- 50:29who's still hungry, that that fire is still burning, you know,
- 50:34you know, they and with motorcycle again, the high I, I
- 50:37don't, I don't think they'll be racing, you know, a Moto GP bike
- 50:40because Albert is not, you know, and and so forth.
- 50:43But I think he, he, you know, he's finishing third.
- 50:46And I mean, outside of crashes and stuff like that, he he'll
- 50:50finish top five. I mean, that's that, that that's
- 50:53still good. No, I agree.
- 50:56So. But and the medicine they have
- 50:59today is, is ridiculous to keep you young you, you know what I
- 51:03mean? And the tech that they have.
- 51:04So I think it's just the, you know, if you hurt yourself,
- 51:08what's that recovery like? That's that's the biggest thing
- 51:11in motorcycle racing. If like if you to break up
- 51:13yourself at, at you know, like John McGinnis, right?
- 51:17You know, it's kind of like, you know, if after 40 and, and you
- 51:21know, you, you break up a lot of bones, you know, no, it's
- 51:25different. Yeah, different, you know.
- 51:26What I'm saying? So, so right now I'm 48 and I
- 51:29was telling my kids, like when I was, you know, 20 years old, I
- 51:32was like, you know, like freaking else dude's name but
- 51:35Wolverine. I'll get hurt, I'll bounce up
- 51:38and no problem at all, man. Injuries, like I'm fine now.
- 51:42I'm like old man Logan, man. Like my heel piles don't work
- 51:44anymore, you know, so. I'm hurt for that.
- 51:47Long now with the smallest, the small, the smallest thing you
- 51:50know, your back hurts like 10 three straight sometimes for no,
- 51:54for no reason. It's terrible.
- 51:56I mean, I mean, what do? They say they.
- 51:58Say your talent is day-to-day, but your class is permanent and
- 52:02if you have good class, you could always compete at the
- 52:05highest level. And I don't think it's an age
- 52:08thing. I just think some of these guys
- 52:10didn't have the class to maintain.
- 52:13They had the talent which is day-to-day and didn't have the
- 52:16class. Like a guy like Tom Brady has
- 52:19the class, Marc Marquez has the class like so there's a
- 52:23difference. I don't think it's age, it's
- 52:26your talent is day-to-day, but your class is permanent and some
- 52:30guys are just a one of one. Right.
- 52:33No. I think you can explain that in
- 52:35many different words. Class is 1 just naturally
- 52:39gifted. Just naturally gifted.
- 52:41Like Tracy McGrady talks about it.
- 52:43I will listen to my podcast. If you guys remember him from
- 52:46basketball. He's like I could hit AI, could
- 52:47hit a golf ball. This.
- 52:49Far. Away I could hit a baseballs out
- 52:52the out the thing and I could shoot a basketball from wherever
- 52:55and he's like right now the interview was like right now
- 52:57he's like no, I could do that right now because some people
- 52:59are just gifted like that now. When he said that, I was like,
- 53:02that's so true, man. I just remember in high school
- 53:05there's just some gifted athletes and these guys don't
- 53:08even make it to the big leagues. So I'm thinking like, this is
- 53:11the we don't even have the best, the best in my high school, but
- 53:13there's still levels to this, right?
- 53:16And you take the best guy from every high school and there's
- 53:18one best guy in that school out of all those people, right?
- 53:21That's just elite. That guy's college ball.
- 53:23Yeah, that guy becomes a star. So we're all built.
- 53:26Differently and and yeah and some people have everything it
- 53:29takes I definitely I know people like that as well that can they
- 53:32they they you know, I got a buddy can hit a golf ball.
- 53:35I mean, when he first started playing golf, his shot was ugly
- 53:37as ever, but he can hit it straight as ever with like, you
- 53:40know, there's some people who just naturally talented and can
- 53:44do these things, but you know, that's enough to just say, Hey,
- 53:47you're that good. But you know, Josh Schmidt is a
- 53:49good example that played for Atlanta, right?
- 53:51He if he's a guy that could has the same gift and you know, to
- 53:55hear Jeff Teague talk about it, he he just never practice and he
- 54:00was able to do everything that he was doing.
- 54:02And so imagine if he was practicing in the sense of like,
- 54:05you know, team ball and stuff like that.
- 54:07It's just he he just couldn't he could just hit a shot and make
- 54:10create his own shots. So but sometimes you need to be,
- 54:15you know, polished, right? You need you.
- 54:16It's it's it's like that's going to get you so far.
- 54:19But to win championships and all those things, you have to learn
- 54:22how to play team ball as far as basketball is concerned.
- 54:25But you know, obviously in motorcycle racing, you still can
- 54:28have all those talents. We've seen it in Moto 2.
- 54:30We've seen it in Moto 3 guys that were killing it.
- 54:33And then you know that for whatever reason, they get to GP
- 54:36and you know, we see Raul Fernandez.
- 54:38A little bit right, he's he was killing it and and he's having
- 54:40struggles. But in Moto 2, if he would, to
- 54:44me, if he stayed one more year, he probably would have won the
- 54:45title the following year instead of coming out with Remy Gardner.
- 54:50You know what's? Really crazy since we're talking
- 54:51about class and talent. It blows my mind.
- 54:55If we go back 30-40 years like Michael, yeah.
- 54:57Can we? Is it 30 years for Michael
- 54:59Jordan? Probably, right?
- 55:01Yeah. 90s, yeah. Yeah, jeez.
- 55:03Yeah, it's a long. Time.
- 55:05Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan?
- 55:07No shade. I mean the guy.
- 55:11Smoking cigars and drinking alcohol, yeah.
- 55:14I mean. So I don't know, I, I mean,
- 55:16these young athletes, they're, they're eating, right?
- 55:19They're, they're, they're going to the Academy.
- 55:22I mean, these guys back in the day, they just picked up a bike
- 55:25in one Grand Prix. Like it's, it's crazy.
- 55:28So like some guys have the class and some guys don't need to
- 55:31practice it. It blows my mind that not a lot
- 55:34of younger athletes are not shattering the records of the
- 55:39old guys who were drinking, smoking, having sex with 10
- 55:45women before the race. Like like.
- 55:48What is going? On yeah, and that was a.
- 55:51Car racing in bike racing too, back then, smoking cigarettes.
- 55:55Smoking cigarettes. I mean drink sprained champagne
- 55:59with a with a whiskey nip in your back pocket.
- 56:02Like think about it. They were drinking.
- 56:04Coke in the 80s. They weren't drinking Gatorade.
- 56:08With. Actually, probably.
- 56:10Coke in it, Coke in it, right? Exactly.
- 56:12I mean it's. It's crazy like like talented
- 56:16day-to-day classes permanent like a guy like Michael Jordan.
- 56:20LeBron James should be shattering what Michael Jordan
- 56:23did in a short amount of time with the medicine and all of
- 56:27that. And all these guys, all these
- 56:29young guys like Top Rack, he's going.
- 56:32To come. To Moto GP and he's going to be
- 56:35fighting for the 10th place. Which blows my mind.
- 56:39Because he's such a young talent.
- 56:41But there's a guy named Marques who just has permanent class and
- 56:46that's it. It's interesting you say.
- 56:48That Bobby. I'm not the biggest NBA fan.
- 56:51I don't watch all the games. I don't know all the players,
- 56:53but I'm a fan of greatness and greatness transcends all sports,
- 56:56right? It just goes into everything.
- 56:57So watching Jordan, I was listening to somebody talk about
- 57:01the story on the team and he was like, we dropped him off.
- 57:04He's like, drop me off right here at the bar and he's in his
- 57:07sweats and and everything and he has a couple beers.
- 57:09I'm going to go and drink some beers.
- 57:10And like we got practice. Like, yeah, yeah, pick me up
- 57:12before practice. So they pick him up and he's on
- 57:15the court and he's buzzing. They could smell the beer off
- 57:18him and they just smelling everything.
- 57:21And these the players telling the stories, he goes to the
- 57:23practices like look, I'm seeing 3 rims, I'm going to shoot for
- 57:26the one in the middle and he's dropping them, training them.
- 57:29Some people are just gifted, man.
- 57:31Like some people just have it. But then you had another person
- 57:34like Steve Kerr talking about when he was on the Bulls, the 98
- 57:37Bulls and he was talking about how he didn't have that natural
- 57:41giftedness so he had to have everything perfect.
- 57:44That like tire management is done in Moto GP.
- 57:47He had to manage though his life perfectly to be in the NBA.
- 57:51He had to practice all day. He had to get the right amount
- 57:54of rest, get the right amount of sleep, the right amount of
- 57:56nutrition and be smart with all of it and use his head for all
- 57:59of it. Some people are just naturally
- 58:01gifted and they don't have to do that much.
- 58:05That's that's cigars. And everything, Yeah, yeah.
- 58:07And then other people have to. Work really hard at it 24/7 and
- 58:11you know it. It was.
- 58:12And you know, what's interesting is the Steve Kerr's they tend to
- 58:15make it because they get, they get the, I don't want to say
- 58:18work ethic, but they, they, the hunger is different for them
- 58:21because it's not coming as easy. It's you know what I mean?
- 58:25And so you, they got to spend more time doing that.
- 58:27And, and we've seen that with, you know, as you know, the, the
- 58:30story says, you know, LeBron James wasn't the best kid coming
- 58:33out. And you know, we're seeing, I
- 58:34think the guy was on Showtime, I forget his name, but like he
- 58:37wasn't the best coming out. What you.
- 58:38Mean there was another kid that was.
- 58:40Better than him, but like, bad decisions, just bad decisions,
- 58:44you know, and, and just, you know, didn't get him to to to go
- 58:47play, you know what I mean? And and that, yeah, I figured.
- 58:51His name? They show they did the thing on
- 58:52him on Showtime, I think. And you know, he's a big guy.
- 58:56I forget. Yeah, yeah, it.
- 58:57It which was unfortunate. So like that, you know, and we
- 59:00see it a lot. You see it a lot with musicians.
- 59:01You see a lot with with a lot of athletes.
- 59:03Like you know, if not if they don't have the right guidance,
- 59:06they don't have the right people around them.
- 59:08You know what I mean? With all the talent, you mean,
- 59:10you know, you know, they, they still can't get there.
- 59:13So, you know, the people that just put in the work and, and,
- 59:17and, and they get there because they have to put in that work
- 59:20ethic. I I, I I.
- 59:22Don't know, I, I, I, I heard about that guy, but I, I just
- 59:25want to say this for my basketball purist guys.
- 59:30LeBron James at 15 years old cooked Michael Jordan in the
- 59:34summer camp when they played. He's been, he played.
- 59:38Jordan and LeBron played together.
- 59:40LeBron was 15 and Cook Jordan. I heard about that, too.
- 59:44Yeah. So this guy.
- 59:45That was better than LeBron. That's fake news.
- 59:48I don't believe it. Either fake news, we'll go with
- 59:55that. What are you guys thoughts on
- 59:59reading and his struggles and it looks like he might be going
- 1:00:01back to BSB or going to BSB or go back because he did win a
- 1:00:05championship and and just what's going on with the team.
- 1:00:10Yeah, I think he's. Done man, he needs to go to BSP
- 1:00:13and turn off all the electronics and see how he can handle it
- 1:00:16there, because all the all that crying man I'm I'm tired of
- 1:00:20seeing that stuff from him and you know you just you just don't
- 1:00:24got it bro like it's it's OK. You know you once had it and you
- 1:00:27don't have it. You do have to adapt.
- 1:00:29You have to adapt and keep it moving, right, but to expect
- 1:00:32yourself to still have it and and and blame everything else or
- 1:00:36you know, thank you. You need this bike or that bike.
- 1:00:38Sometimes you do need to test yourself as a rider.
- 1:00:40I'll say you do. You might think that because
- 1:00:42that other riders on the Ducati or whatever bike he's on that he
- 1:00:45has the you know, it's taking him further.
- 1:00:48So you have to get on that bike and see.
- 1:00:50But he did it and he nothing changed.
- 1:00:52You know I'm. Going to say, but you know what?
- 1:00:56But so. So oddly enough.
- 1:01:01But I started Moto GP in terms of like a series for a country,
- 1:01:04you know, MO, America, BSB and those things type of things.
- 1:01:07BSB by far my favorite series. You know that series is so.
- 1:01:12Close together, like the top six riders.
- 1:01:15Every week it's somebody different, you know, that wins
- 1:01:18the race. And BSB is amazing.
- 1:01:19Those guys ride with no freaking rider aids, no electronics.
- 1:01:23Those guys are freaking elbows freaking hitting each other the
- 1:01:26entire race. Those guys ride hard and beat
- 1:01:29and they're insane. And the tracks are narrow as
- 1:01:31hell too. So I don't know how to do this
- 1:01:33shit over there. But BSB, if you can go watch it,
- 1:01:36It's it's that good. Seriously, you know it really
- 1:01:38is. No doubt I would.
- 1:01:42Agree with Smith. Smith Yeah, I love BSB.
- 1:01:44It's it's. Like what, Moto?
- 1:01:45Two's aggressive too, you know, real aggressive.
- 1:01:47It's it's, it's like watching Moto 2 without people not using
- 1:01:51the blinker and crashing it to imitating people.
- 1:01:53No BSB is like. That yeah yeah BS.
- 1:01:56Is narrow. Cleaner.
- 1:01:57Narrow tracks, real is a cleaner, harder race.
- 1:02:00And I think that's the reason that we want to see Moto GP
- 1:02:02right, right, right. We, we, we want to lower the
- 1:02:05CCS, get rid of all the assist that Ducati has, you know, the
- 1:02:09oil assist going into Turn 8, the bike drop oil, everybody
- 1:02:13flips. We want to get we want to get
- 1:02:14rid of all electronics in Moto GP, like Mario Kart.
- 1:02:17And drop the oil on the track. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:20All the all the assist, hey, when all that stuff goes.
- 1:02:22Away. Who's going to excel?
- 1:02:25The guy with the most. Balls, it's still going to be.
- 1:02:27Mark, it's going to be Mark even better probably because like
- 1:02:30that that guy is used to the bike shaking and moving around.
- 1:02:34He comes from that motocross background.
- 1:02:35There's going to be a few of those guys up there.
- 1:02:37It's going to be so fun to watch the bikes fully stripped down
- 1:02:40and down a few horsepower and just more aerodynamic.
- 1:02:45It's going to be so fun. Hopefully it gets more like
- 1:02:47World Super Bike and BSP like Bobby shakes the Sand.
- 1:02:49I think that'll be more fun. Yeah, shout out to Chris from
- 1:02:53Pin the Gas podcast. He's the he's commenting on
- 1:02:55Facebook. He's he said the BSB is proper
- 1:02:59mega. Definitely go check it out.
- 1:03:01He did go to Catwell Park in 23 and I've had Chris on on on the
- 1:03:05show and. Chris.
- 1:03:09Is dope, man. I've been on his show.
- 1:03:10I interviewed him too on his own show.
- 1:03:12That was a pretty cool time. Yeah, I love BSP.
- 1:03:14No, yeah, definitely. So it's it's definitely to watch
- 1:03:18BSP and hopefully it'll get there.
- 1:03:20So also, and I spitio, I think we were talking about you were
- 1:03:24talking about this in in the chat because red and talked
- 1:03:29about, you know, pro riders shouldn't be paying for their
- 1:03:33ride. What are your thoughts on?
- 1:03:36I find that odd, actually you. Know I never understood why that
- 1:03:39happens, you know, so I started to watch racing years ago.
- 1:03:44You know, back when there was. Mickey Hayden, like Eric
- 1:03:48Bostrom, Curtis Roberts, Duhamel, you know, Matt, I'm
- 1:03:52Aladdin. That's how I started to watch
- 1:03:54racing. And back then Ryan's got paid
- 1:03:57even like the middle guys got paid something.
- 1:04:00And this whole new thing of you got to spend 200 grand to to get
- 1:04:04a ride. I don't see how how it makes
- 1:04:06sense at all. I understand that's what it has
- 1:04:09become, so you have to adapt to it, but I don't see wise to that
- 1:04:13point. It's just it becomes a sport,
- 1:04:16you know, for rich kids. Honestly, yeah.
- 1:04:19That is true. It's unfortunate.
- 1:04:20Yeah. I mean, if I may, I I think
- 1:04:23it's, it's, it's the the bikes continue to just evolve in class
- 1:04:26and technology and everything. And it costs more and more to to
- 1:04:30own a bike and race a bike. And you know, you have to have
- 1:04:32multiple of these bikes. So it's not even like the the
- 1:04:35racing used to be back in the day.
- 1:04:36And and also back in the day, I think there was a splurge of
- 1:04:39motorcycle sales in the 80s, nineties that just allowed them
- 1:04:43to just put more money into racing.
- 1:04:45And maybe that just didn't work out the way they thought it
- 1:04:47would. But it obviously sales have
- 1:04:48slowed down a lot. And so is racing money into
- 1:04:52racing Rather, you know, that goes hand in hand pots of ships.
- 1:04:56What's that? No, I mean this big.
- 1:04:58Name sponsorship. Yeah yeah.
- 1:05:00Sponsorship. Alcohol sponsorship.
- 1:05:01Right, OK, I get it. Yeah, they don't want to put you
- 1:05:03they. Don't care to put their they'd
- 1:05:04rather put it on NASCAR or something else like F1, right.
- 1:05:07So it it does come with the eyes and sales and everything goes
- 1:05:11hand in hand, I think. OK, so the question.
- 1:05:13Is NASCAR the same way? Like do guys pay for cars?
- 1:05:19Probably not in NASCAR I. Think so.
- 1:05:22I think in motor racing if he has a motor, I think they're
- 1:05:27paying 'cause you can, you know, the privateers are paying,
- 1:05:31riders are paying to, to, to ride on the privateers.
- 1:05:34Some of them, I had a, a good friend who raced as well and
- 1:05:37he's like, yeah, a lot of guys are paying.
- 1:05:39And even sometimes you know, they'll, they'll get the guy
- 1:05:42with all the money and give him the second car while they pay
- 1:05:45the guy who's fast and give him the other car.
- 1:05:48So gotcha. It it's, it's, it's brutal that
- 1:05:51way. And it's unfortunate, but you
- 1:05:54know, we all love Motorsports. And if I had the money, I'll pay
- 1:05:58you, I mean. They just, they just did a stat
- 1:06:02right that New York has has New York Cologne has added so many
- 1:06:07more millionaires to their demographics or to the
- 1:06:10citizenship of New York City. There's a lot, there's a lot of
- 1:06:13money out there. And I know everybody probably
- 1:06:17wants Pirelli on their front, or you want Goodyear or you want
- 1:06:21Michelin, but there's money out there for you to go write some
- 1:06:27proposal and get some new faces and some sport, because that's
- 1:06:29the only way the sport's going to grow, right?
- 1:06:31If everybody has a Pirelli and a good wrench and and and this and
- 1:06:36that and a Michelin, maybe we should have Wayfair.
- 1:06:41Right, Wayfair's a. Billion dollar company, maybe
- 1:06:43Walmart, maybe Apple. Maybe Apple?
- 1:06:47Can give you some of their AI tools to help you with your
- 1:06:50racing and get away from the the PC setup right.
- 1:06:53Apple has has 2 trillion in cash, right?
- 1:06:57So I think. I think that the way the.
- 1:07:00Sport's going to grow is if the riders go out and attract new
- 1:07:05people into the sports. Only way it's going to grow
- 1:07:08Pirelli, Pirelli Pirelli my mother doesn't know what the
- 1:07:10hell of Pirelli is she has no idea what the hell of Pirelli is
- 1:07:13but I bet if my mom was watching TV and she saw a guy in a home's
- 1:07:17good outfit to go oh I just saw a motorcycle guy in a homegood
- 1:07:21outfit and my son has a motorcycle let me TuneIn to the
- 1:07:23race and see what's going on right.
- 1:07:25We have to expand through sponsorship.
- 1:07:27We're not going to expand through viewership.
- 1:07:29We have to expand through sponsorship and I think.
- 1:07:34There's a lot of money. Out there, a lot of money and
- 1:07:37you can get it. I think it's viewership.
- 1:07:39Too, man, because this year has record viewership in Moto GP and
- 1:07:43Moto America and I don't know why I haven't kept up with World
- 1:07:46Super Bike, but I would assume there too.
- 1:07:48So there is an upward trend in viewership which will result in
- 1:07:52sales, which will result in sponsorships getting more eyes.
- 1:07:55I think it's a cycle, man. I truly believe it's a cycle
- 1:07:58that will, you know, hopefully comes back to where motorcycling
- 1:08:02is up there. I hope so, man.
- 1:08:04And and. When you.
- 1:08:06Say that, though, we're really saying in the US because in
- 1:08:09Europe motorcycle and is sure, yeah, it's in the it's in the US
- 1:08:12and US people, people in the US watching the shows.
- 1:08:17I mean, Moto GP now is, you know, TNT is, is now at Moto GP
- 1:08:22rounds and stuff like that. And that's huge.
- 1:08:25So I think, you know, more TV deals will come, but you, you
- 1:08:29need that and but obviously you need the eyes to, to to to to
- 1:08:35watch the shows. If not, it's hard to get ATV
- 1:08:37deal, but is, you know, is I think where teams get to set
- 1:08:41their own terms as far as the relationship with the rider.
- 1:08:45But it's not a, it's not a, it's not a, it's not a, there's no
- 1:08:48union like the NBA or the, I think the NFL even have a union.
- 1:08:52I don't know if it's a writers union and, and, and Moto GP and
- 1:08:55stuff like that. And they use that to negotiate a
- 1:08:57lot of stuff because the NBA had to fight for all the money that
- 1:09:00these young kids are getting. And now and even we see that
- 1:09:02with NFL, obviously European football is out the roof.
- 1:09:07So what these people are getting and stuff like that, you know,
- 1:09:10So what's European football? I I didn't want to.
- 1:09:13Say soccer. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:09:14But you. Know no, we just call it
- 1:09:16football and that's I forgot I was.
- 1:09:21Talking to a brick, Yeah, yeah. Yeah, football.
- 1:09:23I don't know what the fuck the Americans do, but football?
- 1:09:27European football. Football.
- 1:09:30Football. Fucking European audience man.
- 1:09:32What the? Fuck is that?
- 1:09:36So yeah, so I do. Think the the numbers will come
- 1:09:39around, I think at some point, but it's going to be hard when
- 1:09:43teams get to set their own standard.
- 1:09:45And it's not like, or donors going to have to do something or
- 1:09:50the new owners are going to have to do something because
- 1:09:52obviously F1, we see it, we see the ride, the drivers are
- 1:09:55getting good money. And I think that I think that
- 1:10:00will trickle down because obviously Liberty Media Group
- 1:10:03owns Moto GP or a good percentage of Moto GP and
- 1:10:07they're in the, I believe they're in the business to make
- 1:10:09money. So I think it will come.
- 1:10:11But I, it, it, it, it needs to like it.
- 1:10:14It's, it's really hard for families to, to keep their kids
- 1:10:19who are fast. We know, we all know a lot of
- 1:10:21fast people that can't race in motor America and they have the
- 1:10:25skill sets too, but they can't afford to because they they
- 1:10:27haven't got a ride or they don't have the money to pay for a
- 1:10:30ride. And, and it's tough when you,
- 1:10:32when you know, you know, you guys were mentioning, you know,
- 1:10:34being 20 and being able to get race and these kids are racing
- 1:10:37from 4:00 and you know, the only thing that's stopping them from
- 1:10:41going to that next level is not having enough money.
- 1:10:44Now I'm telling you. If I have grandkids, he'll be a
- 1:10:47Moto GP all right. Yeah.
- 1:10:51And then if you look at I follow Tour de France stuff too their,
- 1:10:55their teams, you would imagine cycles, right?
- 1:10:58They're cycles. Just think about a cycle.
- 1:11:00These cycles cost fifteen, $20,000.
- 1:11:02They're not cheap cycles, right, but just.
- 1:11:04Think about the. Lowest budget on the team if you
- 1:11:07guys don't know I I would be laughing at your guests the
- 1:11:10lowest budget teams like 35,000,000 a year the.
- 1:11:14Higher one of France like. UAE.
- 1:11:16Yes, UAE, the UAE team Everett's 120 million, a 150 million from
- 1:11:21from UAE, they're bringing all their money and putting the best
- 1:11:23rider in the best seat. And it's a team of like 20
- 1:11:26riders. So they have to pay them all a
- 1:11:27salary. The top rider gets millions.
- 1:11:30They they, they get rich out there, man.
- 1:11:32So I know it's possible to kind of look past in Moto GP level.
- 1:11:37I know it's possible to get all the funding to fund all the
- 1:11:40bikes on the grid eventually, right?
- 1:11:42But I don't know if that's going to trickle it all the way down
- 1:11:44to Moto America and World Super Bike to that point, because
- 1:11:48racing's expensive, man. At the end of the day, these are
- 1:11:50bikes technology constantly updating, so it's a lot of money
- 1:11:53they have to throw at them. I don't know if he'll ever get
- 1:11:55to that point. It's crazy.
- 1:11:57Right, like when you talk stay on Tour de France, the United
- 1:12:00States Postal Service used to sponsor a team.
- 1:12:03Yeah. They were.
- 1:12:05That that it's the money has gotten really crazy and
- 1:12:10unfortunately now. I coach girls to.
- 1:12:15Cross out in Belmont, and my problem with Belmont is because
- 1:12:18it's such a rich town, all my talent goes to private schools.
- 1:12:23I still have talent that. Goes to the public schools, but
- 1:12:25a lot of my high end talent goes to the private schools.
- 1:12:28So that means Belmont Public system, the lacrosse team is
- 1:12:33not. It's still great.
- 1:12:34No shake to my girls, still great.
- 1:12:36But we're losing talent to the private schools.
- 1:12:39We're losing talent to the AA us.
- 1:12:42Remember those days when you're like a poor kid in the hood and
- 1:12:46you know, you see these stories, I just wanted to play
- 1:12:49basketball. Those days are over.
- 1:12:53If you're not a millionaire, your kids not playing in the
- 1:12:57NBA, forget about it. Just not happening.
- 1:13:00And and it's happened to all sports. 1st at first it starts
- 1:13:03with a high end sports like F1F1, forget about it.
- 1:13:06Lewis Hamilton is probably the last Negro ever to friggin race
- 1:13:10a car, right? It's over.
- 1:13:13And then it trickles down to Moto GP and then triples down to
- 1:13:17the next sport will be football, American football, even football
- 1:13:21in Europe. Forget about it.
- 1:13:24It's it's, it's it's it's it's sickening, but it is what it is.
- 1:13:29And this is what it is. It's over and wow, it's the
- 1:13:33private. Yeah, and and we're.
- 1:13:34Seeing that in America now too, because I mean with the talent
- 1:13:38cup, I think it's called talent Cup or I forget what it's called
- 1:13:40now. You know, they're setting up
- 1:13:42these bikes to BGP bikes as far as you know, the, the, the feel
- 1:13:47and stuff like that. So these kids will have a
- 1:13:49fighting chance. The Cramers, right, because over
- 1:13:52there it's already, it is like the the football program over
- 1:13:56there and stuff like that. They you can go ride bikes
- 1:13:59everywhere over there and everywhere you can learn over
- 1:14:02there. So, and we've seen that in in,
- 1:14:05in Moto GP with the nationalities that are in the
- 1:14:07sport right now. So yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely
- 1:14:10right. It is it is it is very hard for
- 1:14:14someone without connections or money to to be in the sport
- 1:14:19right now or any sport, because that's the it's hard to compete.
- 1:14:23I mean, you know, the talented ones will compete, right?
- 1:14:26They will shine through. But, you know, when it comes
- 1:14:30down to I need money to go to all these places and nobody.
- 1:14:33And that's where it, it's like, you know, it's almost like, you
- 1:14:37know, back in the day, maybe even still happens, you know,
- 1:14:41you know, lawyers would, would, will drug dealers used to get
- 1:14:44locked up and lawyers will take their case for years and just
- 1:14:47bleed them, bleed their money out, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:14:49And then, and then they have no money, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:14:52So it, it, it's, it's really difficult for, for parents to,
- 1:14:57to provide, you know, for, for, for their kids at that level.
- 1:15:00And and that's the unfortunate side and, and, and one.
- 1:15:03Parent has to stay home. Like you can't have two working
- 1:15:06parents if your kid is in athletics and you're chasing
- 1:15:09that because one kid, one parent has to be on the road with the
- 1:15:12child you're. All over the place.
- 1:15:15You're, I mean, that's a fact. Clinic, Clinic.
- 1:15:18Clinic you're all over the place so man my buddy my.
- 1:15:23Buddy Riston, Greg, shout out to him.
- 1:15:25He's a Moto America. He he's a teammate with Cam
- 1:15:27Peterson. He he's injured himself in
- 1:15:29qualifying the first race of the season.
- 1:15:31He's been out had a fusion. He's just getting back on a
- 1:15:34track this weekend. NC bike to test out.
- 1:15:36But his dad man, shout out to him Steve.
- 1:15:39He's spending all his weekends just travelling up and down the
- 1:15:42US, the coast, everywhere, driving, driving the trailer,
- 1:15:46right. So that's that's a dad's job if
- 1:15:48you're an athlete. It's it's, it's it's man.
- 1:15:53Where have we come? I mean, you know, I.
- 1:15:57I think that, you know, we, we have to, I think that, you know,
- 1:16:00we have to talk about it like we're doing and find a different
- 1:16:06way for these for folks to, to get capital.
- 1:16:11You know, there are a lot of, there are a lot of people with a
- 1:16:13lot of money that do want to give it away and it's just a
- 1:16:16matter of figuring out how to connect with them and, and, and
- 1:16:19make it where it makes sense to help riders.
- 1:16:23You know what I mean? I think so because at the end of
- 1:16:25the day, it's like the teams, like some teams again, you know,
- 1:16:29will they'll, the, the riders can't have their own personal
- 1:16:32sponsors, right? And, and so now the team has all
- 1:16:34the sponsors and they're getting all the money.
- 1:16:36So, you know, you know, that that's an issue right there, but
- 1:16:39get past that, you know, it has to be the community that comes
- 1:16:44together and figure this thing out because it, it, it does take
- 1:16:48away from the, the motorsport, especially when, like when we
- 1:16:51know people and, and, and we see the struggles and, and it's a
- 1:16:54lot for, for young riders to, not to say they shouldn't be
- 1:16:58doing it, but it's a lot to, to reach out to a lot of companies
- 1:17:03to try to get sponsorships right.
- 1:17:04And it's one thing if the company's into motorcycle or the
- 1:17:07owners are into motorcycles, but if they're not into motorcycles,
- 1:17:10it's really hard to say, Hey, let me, I got, I can bring, you
- 1:17:14know, 1000 people to your shop or 500 people to your whatever,
- 1:17:18right? Because they're, they're,
- 1:17:19they're not doing it just to say we're doing it.
- 1:17:21They're doing it with the expectation that they're going
- 1:17:23to get a return on the investment and and so they
- 1:17:26should. It's a business.
- 1:17:27It's it's, it's racing, but it's a business right there.
- 1:17:30The reason why I give you Ducati to to spin around a track 12
- 1:17:34laps is so that Jimmy could go and buy one of those things,
- 1:17:39right? The reason?
- 1:17:40Why I give you Yamahas to do the same exact thing.
- 1:17:42So yeah, it's a business. Yeah.
- 1:17:43I mean, you got to put asses in the seats, you got to put
- 1:17:46eyeballs on the TV, and we got to get these things shipped.
- 1:17:49We got to get these bikes shipped.
- 1:17:50It's business. It's a business.
- 1:17:52Get them shipped. Get them out of here, right?
- 1:17:54Right. Chris is saying maybe we need to
- 1:17:57get cigarettes and beer back on the bikes.
- 1:18:00I agree 100. Percent, man.
- 1:18:01Not a bad idea. That that would be great.
- 1:18:05Never happened. Never happened.
- 1:18:10Smoking Joes, Yeah, I mean. I mean you.
- 1:18:14You. I mean, the the, the the guys
- 1:18:18that I think I mean that this is this is AI shouldn't even say
- 1:18:21this aloud. I don't know why even the fuck
- 1:18:23I'm even going to say this aloud.
- 1:18:24But like marijuana dispensaries have money that they can't burn.
- 1:18:30But do you want to see a weed leaf on on a bike?
- 1:18:33So I mean, it's how do we, how do we get the sport to eyeballs?
- 1:18:42All getting the same amount. Of money but we all know that
- 1:18:44the people that have all the money are just bad sponsorship
- 1:18:48for the sport like do you want to see mark Marquez ripping
- 1:18:51around the track with Ozempic written on his shirt like you
- 1:18:54know I don't want to take an ozempic I think they pushed it
- 1:18:56with only. Fans, that's not as far as
- 1:18:58they're going to go. Jesus.
- 1:19:00Christ, only fans got money to burn, but I think I think A-Team
- 1:19:04like Apple if you approach Apple and say hey listen, you got you
- 1:19:07got 2 trillion in cash. Let's, let's use your resources,
- 1:19:12your AI to compete with Hewlett Packard or Dell.
- 1:19:19And you know, let's build another, another revenue stream.
- 1:19:24And then now maybe we could stream that on Apple TV.
- 1:19:29Maybe while the race is, while the riders going around the
- 1:19:32track, you could flash a, a iTunes link to buy a hot, hot
- 1:19:36album. There's a lot of ways that we
- 1:19:38could increase revenue in the sport.
- 1:19:40It's just the fact. I think the number one problem
- 1:19:43is with all these sports is the fact that the team principal
- 1:19:46wants all the money and the rider can't do is do jail and
- 1:19:49get his own cash. I think that's the problem if
- 1:19:51the rider can get his own sponsorship and make his own
- 1:19:54deals. Fucking 200 grand.
- 1:19:56For a bike that's piss money and some riders.
- 1:20:00Can it comes down to the deal you make with the team and, and
- 1:20:03stuff like that. And when it's and when it's mom
- 1:20:05and dad helping with the deal and, and somebody's offering you
- 1:20:08150 grand and you're giving up, you know, your rights and name
- 1:20:12and likeness and stuff like that.
- 1:20:13You're happy to get the 150 grand versus a lawyer might say,
- 1:20:16let's let's figure out all these other things and stuff like
- 1:20:19that. And, and, and that's the
- 1:20:20education part. So, you know, but it, it has to
- 1:20:24happen because this, we love the sport.
- 1:20:27I think the sport and I think we know the sport took a hit in the
- 1:20:3090s on and, and, and you know, for the last, I think 5-6 years
- 1:20:35we've been trying to bring it back in the US and stuff like
- 1:20:37that. You know, when I talk to people
- 1:20:39and tell them I, I ride bikes, you know, they, you know, you
- 1:20:43know, one in one in five, tell me how scary it is.
- 1:20:47And they won't let their husband or their kids ride or anything
- 1:20:49like that. And, and that's a, you know,
- 1:20:52that's a different, that's a stigma.
- 1:20:53We have to, we have to change because, you know, it's better
- 1:20:56for kids to go ride motorcycles than to be on social media.
- 1:20:59At least your self esteem will be intact, right?
- 1:21:05I mean I also. Too, like I worked in most high
- 1:21:07industry. That's just an industry that
- 1:21:09dies one 1% a year. It's it's, it's just
- 1:21:13motorcycling. It's just something that just
- 1:21:15dies 1% every year. It's it's just an industry that
- 1:21:19can't. That just.
- 1:21:22Can't get. Forward now in the US, the only
- 1:21:25thing that's going to save. Motorcycle.
- 1:21:28Racing. What you got there, it's the
- 1:21:34baggers. It's it's Harley.
- 1:21:37Davidson Oh man, that's. Crazy that might be the only
- 1:21:41thing to save in Moto America dealership.
- 1:21:44And and and what's going? To happen is too, because that's
- 1:21:47real racing. Like if you know the history of
- 1:21:49Harley-Davidson and Indian, like that's racing.
- 1:21:53I mean, this Moto GP shit that's coming from Cafe Racing guys
- 1:21:57driving around to get cappuccinos, right?
- 1:22:03That's where Moto GP comes. From bunch of cappuccino guys.
- 1:22:07America. Is balls to the wall, the twin
- 1:22:12power and I think once the baggers go into Moto GP, you're,
- 1:22:18you're going to see an influx that might be the savior.
- 1:22:21That might be the savior. Harley-Davidson HD for life, it
- 1:22:25seems, it seems like. It and I was giving you crap so
- 1:22:28many years ago. Shakes man.
- 1:22:31Hey, listen. I, I and I, and I don't want to
- 1:22:32get all historical. I shoot Nikon because Canon was
- 1:22:38the best camera. I'm I'm always going against the
- 1:22:40grain. And when we were shopping bikes
- 1:22:43and me Rexy were on pedal bikes one night.
- 1:22:45And I mean, we're going at a clip, right?
- 1:22:47Kind of like 20 miles an hour. And then Rexy said, you know
- 1:22:51what? I got to go faster.
- 1:22:52I go, I mean, shit, I mean we blew through every red light.
- 1:22:55What do you mean go faster? So I got to go faster and that's
- 1:22:58when he started. He's going to go and get a
- 1:23:00Ducati and he got bought the Street Fighter.
- 1:23:01Then I started doing my own research and I just went down to
- 1:23:04Harley-Davidson rabbit hole. And as a black person,
- 1:23:09Harley-Davidson has done so much for the black community that I
- 1:23:12just thought, shit. I want a Harley-Davidson.
- 1:23:16The the customization comes from black culture, the racing.
- 1:23:19They had a black female, they used to tape her tips down and
- 1:23:22all type of crazy shit because the white boys would kill her.
- 1:23:25The first, the first man to own any type of dealership was a
- 1:23:29Harley-Davidson dealership. Like Harley-Davidson sold a
- 1:23:33franchise to a black man back in the day, which was just crazy.
- 1:23:37So I think and Harley-Davidson understand this because
- 1:23:40sometimes they do a thing called Iron Elite.
- 1:23:42Well they do documentaries on black riding over the last 200
- 1:23:46years in this country. Well, I'm lying not 200 a
- 1:23:49hundred. I should know this 100 and 18120
- 1:23:52years to Harley-Davidson has been around.
- 1:23:53I think that if Harley an Indian.
- 1:23:59I think that's. It you see it in the streets,
- 1:24:02you see it on Instagram, you see kids Wheeling FXR, you don't see
- 1:24:06kids really Wheeling sport bikes anymore.
- 1:24:08You see guys Wheeling baggers. I think that's the next phase
- 1:24:13and I think Moto GP is doing the right thing.
- 1:24:15Like, shit, let's get some baggers in, let's get a whole
- 1:24:18different market. They got 12.
- 1:24:20Rounds next year, yeah, I mean. So, so, you know, I mean, I love
- 1:24:24you cappuccino guys. But you know you.
- 1:24:27Guys are all skinny and look weird.
- 1:24:30Hey, Jessica's. Jessica's drifting got popular.
- 1:24:32You ain't never seen a drift car in F1, have you?
- 1:24:35Right. No, no.
- 1:24:36No, I see no bagger, you ain't. Going to see a bagger in Moto GP
- 1:24:39that's for sure. Like that.
- 1:24:40No, no, no. No, I know they're there, but
- 1:24:42yeah, yeah, but not. Not on replacing, not replacing,
- 1:24:45not beating in on super bikes are.
- 1:24:47Going to be super bike and. World Super bike the future.
- 1:24:51Of motorcycle racing is the baggers.
- 1:24:56That's the future. Sports bike stuff is is it ain't
- 1:24:59going nowhere. I kind of see that in some.
- 1:25:01Ways there's a trend, it's a trend thing, maybe trend it's
- 1:25:04it's the new. Thing a lot of young kids are
- 1:25:05riding. Why?
- 1:25:07Because I remember at one point, I mean, what is an R6 now?
- 1:25:10The last time I left an R6 was like 15 grand.
- 1:25:15Brand new R6 was. 15 grand, that's crazy.
- 1:25:20But now you can get you can get a motorcycle, you can get a a
- 1:25:241200 Sportster for 1500 bucks to 2500 bucks.
- 1:25:29So we're seeing because of the because.
- 1:25:33Sport bikes and. Super Bikes has priced everybody
- 1:25:36out. Shit, man.
- 1:25:38Hey, Dad. What are you doing with that
- 1:25:39bagger in the garage? Nothing but at the end of the.
- 1:25:42Day Those baggers, you can race them, you can spend a lot of
- 1:25:45money to race them. They're just not built to race,
- 1:25:47man. They don't feel good racing.
- 1:25:49You can take a factory bagger and you just ain't gonna feel
- 1:25:52good on the track, man. That's not.
- 1:25:54True, man. Yeah, it won't.
- 1:25:56It's not a sport bike. It's not a sport bike.
- 1:25:58It's not. A sports bike.
- 1:25:59But man, sport bikes are made to.
- 1:26:01Lean they're everything is made to be.
- 1:26:04The shape of it The shape of. It isn't meant to sit on it for
- 1:26:06hours like a bagger. It's meant to go fast,
- 1:26:09comfortably. There is, there is.
- 1:26:11No feeling, you ask? Anybody that rides baggers and a
- 1:26:14sports bike. There is no better feeling than
- 1:26:16scraping a foot peg. There is scraping.
- 1:26:20Your elbow, No. Yeah, scraping your elbow is
- 1:26:23pretty dope. No, I'm.
- 1:26:25Telling it's not, I'm telling it's not.
- 1:26:27A lot of guys and a lot of guys that we know, Rexy, they went
- 1:26:31from sport bikes. Indians.
- 1:26:35Right. It's happening here.
- 1:26:37It's just a better feeling, man. It's it's, it's, it's, it's more
- 1:26:40power up, just just raw power. It's it's, it's power that you
- 1:26:44could slide instead of power that you can really and I guess,
- 1:26:48but we'll see it's. The future it's.
- 1:26:50The future and and I know you guys hate it, but you know the
- 1:26:53future all right. Speaking of.
- 1:26:54Future we're going to get out of here pretty soon and let's talk
- 1:26:59about Bruno, Czech Republic. Any surprises that we're going
- 1:27:04to see? You guys just going to say
- 1:27:06Martine? You're gonna see Martine.
- 1:27:10Back Let's see that Bez's day might be over.
- 1:27:14Bez's. Bez's He's family.
- 1:27:17Now. He's up there.
- 1:27:20He's up there now. He's he's definitely a
- 1:27:22contender. And and I'm not, I'm just saying
- 1:27:24Martin's going to have a struggle.
- 1:27:25I think, I truly think he's going to struggle a little bit
- 1:27:27there getting on back on the Aprilia and he looks smooth.
- 1:27:31He looks great in those photos. But I, I don't know exactly how
- 1:27:34it's going to go in the, in the race.
- 1:27:37Very interesting to see that. That's all I'm going to be
- 1:27:39focused on too. So for Bruno, that's like I'm,
- 1:27:41it's like when Mark came, got on the Ducati and the Valencia
- 1:27:44test, all eyes were on him. That's how it's going to be for
- 1:27:47him. Man, I I can't wait to see that.
- 1:27:51Yeah. And I kind of kind of for the
- 1:27:53same way it's good seeing our team back on a bike that he
- 1:27:55thought wasn't good. That is good, but he's been out
- 1:27:58so long, has ridden at that pace in quite a while, so I doubt
- 1:28:02he'll be, he'll be, you know, like up to speed from, you know,
- 1:28:05this first week, but maybe the race after that he'll pick
- 1:28:09things up low. So to be honest, if he's in the
- 1:28:11top ten, I'd be surprised. Put a little money.
- 1:28:21Cinderella strip club man what's?
- 1:28:22That heels and some dollars there you.
- 1:28:25Go, Martine. There you go.
- 1:28:26What is that? That looks like the trophy.
- 1:28:30They gave that wood trophy. That's it, That's it.
- 1:28:34Money and a pair of high heels for that guy next talk with.
- 1:28:41Oh man, let's see. I mean, Bez, you going to anyone
- 1:28:45else has a shot besides Alex Marquez?
- 1:28:48Yeah. I mean, do you think Bez did?
- 1:28:51She did. She was racing.
- 1:28:52So he'll he'll did you may. But Alex Beko Costa.
- 1:28:59Maybe a KTM up? There, as I was going to say,
- 1:29:01could be Maverick, could be Acosta.
- 1:29:03Oh yeah, and Polo. Sparker is a place in Vinales,
- 1:29:07so yeah, right. Right, right.
- 1:29:11OK, that's right. Vinales is out.
- 1:29:13Yeah, Vinales is out. So the test rider, so obviously
- 1:29:17he raced in, for those who don't know are in Moto GP and became a
- 1:29:21test rider. He actually gave up his seat for
- 1:29:23Acosta, you know, which is, and, you know, he's doing TV and, and
- 1:29:29being a test rider for KTM. So, yeah, I think Bez has a good
- 1:29:34shot. You know, I think it's the usual
- 1:29:36suspects. Dizzy has a good shot.
- 1:29:38I don't know if Mobideli's going to be back this, this round.
- 1:29:41So I, I think he, you know, depend on, you know, his
- 1:29:44recovery and, and how healthy he is, you know, where he'll be at
- 1:29:47and stuff like that. It'll be interesting to see
- 1:29:50Alex. I mean, he did ride well, but
- 1:29:53it's a quick turn around, right? And, and so I, I know that hand
- 1:29:57has to, it might have been hurt. And Monday, Tuesday after racing
- 1:30:01and stuff like that. So it'll.
- 1:30:04Be interesting to see. How, how, how this track plays
- 1:30:07out for him. But it should be a good round,
- 1:30:10yeah, And Quaalude should be. Good in the morning.
- 1:30:13Quatararo too. It's.
- 1:30:15Interesting to see if he's going to get another pole, you know,
- 1:30:18so he might be up there somewhere.
- 1:30:20Yeah, it was. Good to see Quatararo before we
- 1:30:23get out of here on the podium too, you know, cuz he has had a
- 1:30:27lot of bad luck, even though it's just a Sprint race he's
- 1:30:30had, he's had a lot of bad luck and and for him to at least get
- 1:30:33one little something. I don't know, I don't know if
