- 0:17Speaker 2: at substack. It's a Culter dot substack dot com. Oh,
- 0:22Speaker 2: make sure you watch her Rumble Channel. A lot of
- 0:24Speaker 2: good stuff on that and Culter Rumble Channel and culture.
- 0:28Speaker 2: How you doing.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Fantastic? Congratulations Mark Simone. You did not tell me you
- 0:33Speaker 1: won the Broadcasters Award for from Talk Magazine or Talk
- 0:39Speaker 1: Barrett Whatever, Barrett Media, Barrett Media, Barrett Media, and I
- 0:43Speaker 1: would be very upset that you didn't invite me to it,
- 0:45Speaker 1: as you have in the past, except I wasn't in
- 0:47Speaker 1: New York.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Well, I didn't invite anybody. It's a I don't know
- 0:52Speaker 2: something about what inviting people to watch you get an award.
- 0:55Speaker 2: That's a little legotistical, isn't it.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Uh No, I would have cheered like, oh okay, well,
- 1:01Speaker 1: yeah you should come anyway.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Because you had every major talk show host in America
- 1:04Speaker 2: all in one room. You couldn't get a worded party.
- 1:10Speaker 1: That's true like that?
- 1:12Speaker 2: So a guy just called. He said, I love what's
- 1:15Speaker 2: going on. I love this. I love watching the Democrats
- 1:17Speaker 2: just shoot themselves in the foot. I love watching them
- 1:20Speaker 2: destroy their whole party. He said, just get some popcorn
- 1:23Speaker 2: and sit back and enjoy this. What do you think?
- 1:27Speaker 1: Never get complacent, never ever, ever. I mean I remember
- 1:32Speaker 1: hearing this and giving the same warning back when O'Reilly
- 1:36Speaker 1: was saying every night, how how Frank and running for Senna?
- 1:40Speaker 1: Soh ho ho ho, We're not even going to discuss
- 1:42Speaker 1: discuss it. There's a joke. He's not going any place.
- 1:45Speaker 1: And I kept telling him and his producers stopped being
- 1:48Speaker 1: so casual about this. He could very well win. And
- 1:50Speaker 1: we're talking about Minnesota. Never get complacent. I mean, there
- 1:54Speaker 1: are great things that I saw. I forget who this
- 1:57Speaker 1: guy was, but he was a lefty saying that one
- 2:00Speaker 1: of these who's a paraphrase. One of the eternal facts
- 2:04Speaker 1: of modern American politics is no matter how disliked the
- 2:08Speaker 1: Republicans are, Democrats will come up with a way to
- 2:12Speaker 1: be disliked even more. And that is true. So they
- 2:16Speaker 1: have that going against them. They are they they are
- 2:18Speaker 1: having this fight with the mostly you know, as you
- 2:24Speaker 1: point to ok, Mom, Donnie, mostly foreign foreigners who hate
- 2:27Speaker 1: our country, really pushing socialism and ending killing the Golden Goose,
- 2:34Speaker 1: and the establishment Democrats whose main thing has been to
- 2:39Speaker 1: call Trump a fascist. I really find this hilarious that
- 2:42Speaker 1: that the way Democrats describe the division and the party
- 2:45Speaker 1: is the base. They're looking for fighters. What Democrats has
- 2:52Speaker 1: not been fighting Trump? There is nothing you can say
- 2:56Speaker 1: about him that would get you. No, no, we can't
- 2:58Speaker 1: have this guy on TV again. No, you haven't have
- 3:00Speaker 1: this person writing for the New York Times or the
- 3:03Speaker 1: Washington Post. I mean they've thrown everything they have in him.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And I'm talking about elected Democrats too. They impeached him twice,
- 3:10Speaker 1: they had those endless hearing. Anyway, what's going on in Maine.
- 3:17Speaker 1: One thing to note about that is Plattner was losing
- 3:21Speaker 1: to Collins. Yes, he was up, you know, a month ago,
- 3:24Speaker 1: but recent polls showed him falling, falling, falling, and Susan
- 3:29Speaker 1: Collins usually usually wins even when the polls show her losing.
- 3:34Speaker 1: So there had just been enough crap about this guy
- 3:38Speaker 1: building up, building up, building up. I don't think it
- 3:40Speaker 1: was this one thing. I think this was just the
- 3:42Speaker 1: straw that broke the Camel's back and actually Nate Silver
- 3:47Speaker 1: had a really good post on this that you know,
- 3:49Speaker 1: when someone keeps keeps giving you, giving you problems that
- 3:54Speaker 1: he hasn't warned you about, you really got to cut
- 3:56Speaker 1: date on this. So I think they probably had no
- 3:59Speaker 1: choice but to but to dump him. But don't think
- 4:01Speaker 1: that this is Democrats showing you know how moral they are. No,
- 4:07Speaker 1: there are some candidates we have integrity. There's some candidates
- 4:11Speaker 1: we will not accept. No, he was about to lose.
- 4:15Speaker 1: What they do next, it'll be interesting to watch. And
- 4:19Speaker 1: the one thing I keep returning to when it comes
- 4:21Speaker 1: to Susan Collins is I love that they're trying to
- 4:24Speaker 1: portray her like she's I don't know me. She's a moderate,
- 4:30Speaker 1: she votes a lot with the Democrats. She's a thorn
- 4:33Speaker 1: in the Republican inside. But she does really good constituent
- 4:37Speaker 1: work in Maine. So we'll see what happens with the Democrats.
- 4:41Speaker 1: It'll be fun to watch.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yeah, so you wrote a book about communism, but the
- 4:47Speaker 2: McCarthy fighting communism, which book was the.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Reason treason?
- 4:53Speaker 2: So McCarthy was trying to fight communists get him out
- 4:56Speaker 2: of the government. And did you ever think we'd have
- 4:59Speaker 2: to do this for reas. Now we've got to do
- 5:01Speaker 2: it here in New York and Seattle.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Well it was a little different then, but no, it
- 5:10Speaker 1: didn't seem to be pretty much dead and very I
- 5:13Speaker 1: mean even back when I wrote Treason, that was my
- 5:15Speaker 1: third book, and and even then I pointed out how
- 5:20Speaker 1: interesting it was that in Europe, you know, they have
- 5:24Speaker 1: these welter of parties. It's not it's not just you know, Republicans, Democrats,
- 5:29Speaker 1: and a lot of the serious parties in European countries
- 5:32Speaker 1: are communists. What was interesting about America is that the
- 5:39Speaker 1: the the Nixon hard hats, the Trump bass uh and
- 5:44Speaker 1: and I might add the men who went and fought
- 5:47Speaker 1: the Vietnam War. Our hard hats have always been our
- 5:51Speaker 1: biggest right wingers, our most solid, solid patriotic Americans. Remember
- 5:58Speaker 1: when the anti Vietnam I wasn't alive for But it's
- 6:01Speaker 1: a moment that stirs stirs my heart. When the when
- 6:05Speaker 1: the hippie anti Vietnam protesters marched down down I don't
- 6:11Speaker 1: know whatever avenue it was in New York and Mayor
- 6:13Speaker 1: Lindsay hung the flag at half staff. The workers, the
- 6:18Speaker 1: hard hats came out, beat up, the hippies climbed up
- 6:21Speaker 1: the fat flagpole and raised it to full mast. That
- 6:27Speaker 1: that what? So what did they have to do? Working
- 6:30Speaker 1: people in other countries tend to be communists, not in
- 6:35Speaker 1: this country quite the opposite. Still, what do you do?
- 6:38Speaker 1: You bring in workers from other countries? So they're they're
- 6:42Speaker 1: trying to turn us into some crap ass European country.
- 6:46Speaker 2: So, uh so, where does this all end? I mean,
- 6:50Speaker 2: like the hippies stuff, that stuff that all went away
- 6:53Speaker 2: at some point. Where does this end?
- 6:57Speaker 1: I don't know, I mean, I guess we'll see. I'm
- 6:59Speaker 1: very upset. The Trump has restarted the Iran war, soft
- 7:02Speaker 1: markets crashing. Oh, this is fantastic. The bad news for Republicans,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I mean, the good news is Democrats are out of
- 7:10Speaker 1: their minds. But there are a lot of people voters
- 7:14Speaker 1: who are out of their minds thanks to immigration. But
- 7:18Speaker 1: right now, the single most important issue to Americans is
- 7:21Speaker 1: cost of living, and they approve of the job Trump
- 7:24Speaker 1: is doing by only thirty one percent. That is going
- 7:27Speaker 1: to be the toughest headwind for Susan Collins. She has
- 7:31Speaker 1: basically everything going in her favor. She doesn't even vote,
- 7:34Speaker 1: She isn't a Trumpster, she opposes him, and yet these
- 7:39Speaker 1: are big headwinds for every Republican. So don't get your
- 7:43Speaker 1: hopes up too much, no matter whom the Democrats are on.
- 7:46Speaker 1: And that's a particularly frost situation when this is going
- 7:50Speaker 1: to be as it certainly looks like it will be
- 7:54Speaker 1: a good year for Democrats where people don't really care.
- 7:58Speaker 1: A lot of people vote just for the Democrat. They
- 8:00Speaker 1: just think, no, I don't like what's going on in
- 8:02Speaker 1: the country, I'm voting Democrats. So it's kind of terrifying
- 8:06Speaker 1: that the Democrats who will be on the ballot will
- 8:08Speaker 1: be such such communist lunatics. It could be a problem
- 8:14Speaker 1: for the country.
- 8:15Speaker 2: No, hey, I don't know if you follow FIFA. I mean,
- 8:19Speaker 2: I have no interest in FIFA, but I notice wherever
- 8:21Speaker 2: I go there's a million foreigners screaming for their team.
- 8:28Speaker 2: I didn't realize that's how soccer got so big in America, because.
- 8:31Speaker 1: He's ex That's exactly what I wrote about. I had
- 8:36Speaker 1: two columns attacking soccer a few years ago. I think
- 8:39Speaker 1: they'll send them out on subject today just to remind
- 8:42Speaker 1: people now that hopefully FIFA fever has died down since
- 8:46Speaker 1: the American's loss. But I assume, sorry, continue your port.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I assume you are driving to left. These being indignment
- 8:54Speaker 1: at Trump standing up for the American player.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Well, I mean, first of all, I don't think he
- 9:00Speaker 2: knows anything about soccer. I don't even know about some
- 9:02Speaker 2: whoever called.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Him he's an American begged them.
- 9:05Speaker 2: To make this phone call. So, but remember years ago
- 9:09Speaker 2: they had soccer. It was Pele like twelve people in
- 9:11Speaker 2: New Jersey, watch it? That was it? Now soccer a
- 9:16Speaker 2: million people all over New York. So is that just
- 9:18Speaker 2: because we've got so many immigrants now?
- 9:21Speaker 1: Yes? And also America hating Americans. It is such a
- 9:25Speaker 1: non American sport. It is like the metric system, all
- 9:30Speaker 1: these you know, not bathing, using one little sheet to
- 9:34Speaker 1: wipe yourself, all these idiotic things Europeans do that. The
- 9:38Speaker 1: New York Times and the Less is always trying to
- 9:41Speaker 1: push on us. Oh come on, why do you need
- 9:43Speaker 1: to take more than one shower a week? We're Americans
- 9:47Speaker 1: shower three times a day and we waste all times
- 9:51Speaker 1: of gas on the grill. Yeah.
- 9:53Speaker 2: So uh, but you know it's caused chaos here in
- 9:58Speaker 2: New York. There's a million people buying those jerseys from
- 10:01Speaker 2: all these and who do you root for? I'm watching
- 10:03Speaker 2: the game, it's like Paraguay versus Uruguay. Who am I
- 10:07Speaker 2: supposed to root for in this game?
- 10:13Speaker 1: Well, he's probably root for Adderall to keep watching, they're
- 10:18Speaker 1: so boring.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, So what do you think it'll happen with Platner?
- 10:21Speaker 2: Will he get out? He's trying to demand to name
- 10:24Speaker 2: his replacement. Will they get him out? And then who
- 10:26Speaker 2: is it the government? The governor will run.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I don't think it'll be the woman who ran against him.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I never know these things. I mean, this is an
- 10:36Speaker 1: internal democrat sight. I think he kind of has to
- 10:39Speaker 1: get out now. I will say, contrary to conventionalism, I
- 10:47Speaker 1: really don't think this latest accusation is absolutely the worst thing.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I never thought the quote Nazi tattoo was the worst thing.
- 10:55Speaker 1: EI don't one of those taken in isolation with an
- 10:59Speaker 1: otherwise you know, stellar candidates. But this guy just had
- 11:03Speaker 1: a million things. I mean, he was on some you
- 11:07Speaker 1: know meat young teens for sex website, he is in
- 11:11Speaker 1: sex thing during his marriage. He viciously attacked some poor
- 11:16Speaker 1: American soldier who had his leg blown off. It's just
- 11:20Speaker 1: one thing after another coming out and the reason. I
- 11:23Speaker 1: don't think this one thing the rape. I know this
- 11:27Speaker 1: sounds odd, but by her own account, he was so
- 11:31Speaker 1: drunk he didn't know what he was doing. Yeah, really
- 11:34Speaker 1: really bad behavior. It was a drunken race. But it's
- 11:37Speaker 1: quite different from someone who knows what he's doing when
- 11:40Speaker 1: he's committing a rape.
- 11:41Speaker 2: But it's also the fact that he looks like the
- 11:43Speaker 2: guy in Cape fear Er that.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Well, I love it. This is the idea of the democrats,
- 11:52Speaker 1: like working class a white man. We got to run
- 11:55Speaker 1: some white men, and every Democrat they can pull out
- 11:59Speaker 1: to isn't a soy boy, a foreign or a woman.
- 12:04Speaker 1: You know, it turns out to be a psychopath. It's
- 12:06Speaker 1: probably because why would any white man be a Democrat.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Well, I hate to say it. We're out of time,
