- 0:08Speaker 1: Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello. Welcome to the
- 0:15Speaker 1: Naughty But Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter. And
- 0:18Speaker 1: it's Friday, which means our dear friend Corey Andrew joins us. Hey, Corey.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Are you there?
- 0:24Speaker 2: I am here with bells on, darling.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Hello. Bells on. It always makes me giggle. I ask,
- 0:31Speaker 1: are you there? Because we started this podcast... in the pandemic.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And we were learning all the technology and how to
- 0:38Speaker 1: do it ourselves. We didn't have any producers or any
- 0:41Speaker 1: outside help. So I always used to ask at the
- 0:44Speaker 1: top of the show, are you there? Because I was
- 0:46Speaker 1: kind of surprised that I'd pulled it off. So thank
- 0:49Speaker 1: goodness you are there. We stuck. I still like saying it.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Are you there? Okay, let's jump into our silly little joke.
- 0:55Speaker 1: What time is it, my friends? It is tea time.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Big story at the top of the show. They pulled
- 1:00Speaker 1: it off. I can't believe I'm saying this. I'm going
- 1:02Speaker 1: to eat my hat. Harry and Meghan had a hugely
- 1:05Speaker 1: successful quasi-royal visit yesterday. And now they are plotting six more.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Let me explain. So six more of these quasi-royal style visits, comebacks,
- 1:17Speaker 1: are going to happen without the palace's permission. So sources
- 1:21Speaker 1: tell me that the Sussex are celebrating today. Their British
- 1:25Speaker 1: reception yesterday in Nottingham was better than they could have
- 1:29Speaker 1: ever dreamed. And now they're planning six more over the
- 1:32Speaker 1: next six months. One insider tells me, quote, this is
- 1:35Speaker 1: their new strategy now. They're going to win back Britain.
- 1:38Speaker 1: One handshake, one hug, one cheer at a time. Now,
- 1:41Speaker 1: critics have already mocked that only about 100 people turned up.
- 1:45Speaker 1: But let me remind the critics out there. that I
- 1:48Speaker 1: have seen events, I've even been to royal events, where
- 1:50Speaker 1: there's often less than 100 people. So just because we
- 1:54Speaker 1: see royal weddings where there's thousands of people on the street,
- 1:58Speaker 1: because we've seen big moments, the trooping of the colour
- 2:01Speaker 1: and all these massive events, where London is absolutely chock-a-block
- 2:05Speaker 1: with people, that is not the same as when the
- 2:09Speaker 1: royals go to a hospital, go to a charity. If
- 2:12Speaker 1: William and Kate made a visit at a charity event,
- 2:16Speaker 1: to have 100, 200 people there is probably right. They're
- 2:20Speaker 1: not going to get 10,000. And also, too, I don't
- 2:23Speaker 1: want to get into this debate about crowd size. And
- 2:27Speaker 1: the more popular you are, obviously, the more people you have.
- 2:30Speaker 1: But you don't need to be Taylor Swift to be
- 2:32Speaker 1: a musician. I know Debbie Gibson. Debbie Gibson used to
- 2:36Speaker 1: play the garden. Now she's playing a much smaller venue.
- 2:39Speaker 1: That doesn't mean she's not Debbie Gibson. Stay in your lane.
- 2:43Speaker 1: We're more concerned about this than they are. I've seen
- 2:46Speaker 1: a few people poke fun at them and saying, the
- 2:49Speaker 1: crowd has brought in, the crowd has paid. Maybe that
- 2:52Speaker 1: does happen in celebrities. I've done that at premieres. We
- 2:55Speaker 1: always invite the fan club to stand behind the barricades
- 2:58Speaker 1: and cheer when a star arrives. And so I think here...
- 3:02Speaker 1: What I'm trying to get to is that the people
- 3:05Speaker 1: who do not like Harry and Meghan, and there's a
- 3:07Speaker 1: lot of them, there is a lot of them, are
- 3:09Speaker 1: not happy with this. The people that love them are celebrating.
- 3:12Speaker 1: The people that try to be independent about it have
- 3:16Speaker 1: to acknowledge yesterday was a surprising success. There were concerns
- 3:22Speaker 1: that they could be booed. Just a few days ago,
- 3:24Speaker 1: Harry went to a rugby match and he was booed.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Add Meghan to that. And I'm told people were very worried.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Team Sussex was very, very worried. The opposite happened. Only
- 3:35Speaker 1: about 100 people, maybe even 80. Some people are saying 80.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Some people are saying 200. That sort of range. A
- 3:41Speaker 1: lot of media there too. So a lot of media
- 3:44Speaker 1: was there. But they got the photographs. This to the Sussexes.
- 3:47Speaker 1: This to any independent publicist. Somebody without an agenda. This
- 3:53Speaker 1: is a home run. If my client... turned up in Nottingham, England,
- 3:58Speaker 1: not the biggest city in the world. There's not millions
- 4:01Speaker 1: and millions and millions of people who have the day
- 4:03Speaker 1: off there. There's not a lot of tourists that go there.
- 4:06Speaker 1: If this happened to one of my clients, if I
- 4:08Speaker 1: was working with Jessica Simpson again, and she went to Nottingham.
- 4:12Speaker 1: To sign, I don't know, what those heels, those slutty shoes. Oh,
- 4:16Speaker 1: I love that. Those slutty shoes. That's what she calls them.
- 4:20Speaker 1: If she went to Nottingham to sign shoes and we
- 4:23Speaker 1: got 100 people there, we would be thrilled. So I
- 4:27Speaker 1: think this... is a huge success, Corey? Have you seen
- 4:30Speaker 1: the photographs? What do you think?
- 4:31Speaker 3: No, I have not seen them yet, but I did
- 4:33Speaker 3: think of you immediately because I thought from a PR standpoint,
- 4:36Speaker 3: would you consider this a home run?
- 4:38Speaker 2: So you just answered that question for me.
- 4:40Speaker 3: And you're right about that because it reminds me of
- 4:43Speaker 3: social media, how in the early days, it was all
- 4:46Speaker 3: about how many followers do you have? How many followers
- 4:49Speaker 3: do you have? And now there's a whole legion of successful,
- 4:53Speaker 3: popular people online who who have smaller numbers but high engagement,
- 4:58Speaker 3: people who really, really engage with them and love them
- 5:01Speaker 3: and follow them. So it's not about the crowd size.
- 5:03Speaker 3: You're absolutely right about that. And I'm always hoping that
- 5:06Speaker 3: somehow Meghan and Harry find this happy medium between being
- 5:11Speaker 3: part of the.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Royal family and part of America.
- 5:13Speaker 3: We need that bridge, I think, with them. And they
- 5:17Speaker 3: symbolize for a lot of people hope and some sort
- 5:22Speaker 3: of continuation of the monarchy in some ways that people
- 5:26Speaker 3: are so beloved about. And I just want them to
- 5:28Speaker 3: hopefully find a way where they can be harmonious and
- 5:30Speaker 3: it works for people, everyone.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I think I do too. I got trapped in that
- 5:36Speaker 1: spiral of hate.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Of course, I remember.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And the more, and this is the awful truth. The
- 5:45Speaker 1: harsher I am on Harry and Meghan, the more people listen.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And so I have competitors, I have colleagues out there
- 5:53Speaker 1: who are always throwing stones at them and often they
- 5:57Speaker 1: deserve the stone. Let me be clear. They do some
- 6:00Speaker 1: weird stuff. They just do everything. If anything can go wrong,
- 6:04Speaker 1: they'll find a way to make that happen. Everything around
- 6:07Speaker 1: them just seems to fall apart. When they were in
- 6:09Speaker 1: Australia recently, that tour was a disaster. It just was
- 6:12Speaker 1: badly organized. I hopefully, and I think that's part of
- 6:15Speaker 1: the reason this show is such a success, I tell
- 6:18Speaker 1: you it as it is, even if I don't want
- 6:20Speaker 1: to quite hear it myself. Maybe you do not want
- 6:23Speaker 1: to hear this today, but it is real that you're
- 6:26Speaker 1: going to read stuff. The haters are going to say
- 6:28Speaker 1: it was a disaster. Nobody turned up. Everybody was paid.
- 6:32Speaker 1: The fans are going to say it was bigger than
- 6:35Speaker 1: a Madonna concert. Neither are true. It was really, really
- 6:38Speaker 1: successful for what it was. And it's the first step.
- 6:42Speaker 1: You know, I don't have Joe Rogan numbers on this podcast,
- 6:45Speaker 1: but we're a success. You don't have to have those
- 6:49Speaker 1: massive numbers to really carve out a business. Yesterday was
- 6:53Speaker 1: not about the hundred people. in the crowd. It was
- 6:57Speaker 1: about the millions of people, the billions of people that
- 6:59Speaker 1: are going to see the photographs today. It's when you
- 7:02Speaker 1: play a concert, when you're a pop star and you're
- 7:05Speaker 1: playing at the Oscars, they say ignore the audience in
- 7:08Speaker 1: the room, you play into the camera. Millions and millions
- 7:12Speaker 1: of people are watching you at home, where the Dolby
- 7:14Speaker 1: Center only holds 1,000, 2,000. So I think that's what
- 7:18Speaker 1: happened here. Only 100 people, but the photographs, the cheering,
- 7:23Speaker 1: the happiness. There was a lady there who was 90
- 7:25Speaker 1: who turned up with a Union Jack. Flowers for Meghan.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And they are gorgeous. These two do look like royals.
- 7:32Speaker 1: They're beautiful.
- 7:33Speaker 2: They're a beautiful couple.
- 7:35Speaker 1: She's a movie star. She looks like a movie star.
- 7:38Speaker 1: She hasn't made a really huge movie. But she just
- 7:41Speaker 1: looks amazing. He looked great. They looked really happy. But
- 7:44Speaker 1: the big news from today is not what I think
- 7:46Speaker 1: about it. It's what the Sussexes think. And they really,
- 7:49Speaker 1: really are happy. And they're going to do more. So
- 7:52Speaker 1: if you didn't like it, You better close your eyes
- 7:55Speaker 1: because I'm told at least six more are coming, which
- 7:58Speaker 1: brings us to our poll question of the day. Six
- 8:01Speaker 1: more of these quasi-royal visits are happening. Are you excited?
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yes or no? Are you going to give them a chance?
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yes or no? Have you already made up your mind?
- 8:09Speaker 1: This is your decision. There's no right decision here. Hey,
- 8:12Speaker 1: go vote on our X page at Naughty Nice Rob,
- 8:15Speaker 1: our Facebook pages, Naughty Gossip, And be sure to check
- 8:18Speaker 1: back on Monday to hear your results. Hey, Corey Love,
- 8:21Speaker 1: what are you working on?
- 8:22Speaker 3: Yes, well, this Kelly Clarkson story, honey, with the Brooklyn
- 8:25Speaker 3: and the clock that cost $ 15, 000. I mean, it's such
- 8:29Speaker 3: a crazy story. But, you know, Kelly is not letting
- 8:32Speaker 3: that Brooklyn boutique battle ruin her good mood. So the
- 8:35Speaker 3: Grammy winner, 44 years old, she returned to the stage
- 8:38Speaker 3: on Wednesday at a Las Vegas corporate event. And she
- 8:41Speaker 3: was smiling and belting out hits after hits, including Stronger, What.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Doesn't Kill You. To make you stronger. Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 3: But meanwhile, the feud with the Brooklyn Art of Play
- 8:51Speaker 3: store continues making headlines. And Clarkson, you know, she accused
- 8:55Speaker 3: the shop of treating her rudely when she went in.
- 8:58Speaker 3: After she apparently attempted to buy this mechanical bird clock
- 9:01Speaker 3: for $ 15, 000... And the owners insist, though, that the bird
- 9:06Speaker 3: wasn't for sale and they were offering her alternatives instead.
- 9:09Speaker 3: And she says they kind of accused her of– they
- 9:12Speaker 3: looked down at her, not recognizing her and thinking that
- 9:14Speaker 3: she was poor and couldn't afford it. So that's what
- 9:17Speaker 3: she's accusing them of. And so the co-owner, Adam Rubin,
- 9:21Speaker 3: he accused Clarkson of just throwing what he called, quote,
- 9:23Speaker 3: a Molotov cocktail around. into the mom and pop uh
- 9:28Speaker 3: the mom and pop business and so kelly appeared to
- 9:31Speaker 3: be unbothered lately but she was going in a really
- 9:33Speaker 3: big back and forth with this with the shop online
- 9:36Speaker 3: and it seems like someone told her just to stop
- 9:38Speaker 3: because she seems like.
- 9:39Speaker 1: She should stop back yeah yeah yeah she stopped this
- 9:42Speaker 1: is david and goliath kelly might be in the right
- 9:44Speaker 1: here but she's not gonna win the war here punching
- 9:47Speaker 1: down is never a good no even when you're right
- 9:49Speaker 1: remember that even when you are right punching down is
- 9:52Speaker 1: never a good look. There was once a friend of
- 9:54Speaker 1: mine who worked on a morning show, a radio show,
- 9:57Speaker 1: and somebody was really vile. Some person really criticized her
- 10:00Speaker 1: looks and called her awful names. And she got that
- 10:04Speaker 1: person fired from their jobs. And afterwards... I had a
- 10:07Speaker 1: drink with her and I said, I would have let
- 10:09Speaker 1: them off the hook. I would have. And she said,
- 10:11Speaker 1: you know, I wish I had because they weren't earning
- 10:13Speaker 1: the money she has. It's just I think to show grace,
- 10:18Speaker 1: to be able to walk away is the way to go.
- 10:21Speaker 1: It's just how I feel about it. Kelly, this really
- 10:24Speaker 1: didn't look good. At first I was on Team Kelly.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Then I was up for the shop. You know, I
- 10:28Speaker 1: think here Kelly's new response, new strategy of just doing
- 10:32Speaker 1: what she does best, which is singing. Take the stage.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Get off the Twitter. Shut up. Never mention that cuckoo,
- 10:39Speaker 1: cuckoo clock again. I mean, it's cuckoo. The story is
- 10:42Speaker 1: literally cuckoo. Stop talking about that clock. Sing your hits.
- 10:46Speaker 1: And hopefully the store too now gets extra business. Okay,
- 10:48Speaker 1: moving along. Diddy's family is confirming my story. So I
- 10:52Speaker 1: told you first. that Diddy's prison injury, remember he had
- 10:56Speaker 1: a head injury and was rushed to ER, to the emergency. Well,
- 11:00Speaker 1: then outlets said that he got into a huge fight
- 11:03Speaker 1: with a Jamaican drug lord. That was not my reporting.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I was told it was a little bump. Like it
- 11:09Speaker 1: was all Diddy being a bit dramatic. I've worked with him.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I know him. He is a drama queen. He loves
- 11:15Speaker 1: the drama. Now his family are confirming that on the
- 11:18Speaker 1: breakfast club. Hello, hello, hello, Charlemagne. Lauren La Rosa said
- 11:23Speaker 1: the family called her and said the allegations are completely false. Now,
- 11:27Speaker 1: and this is really unusual, the Federal Bureau of Prisons
- 11:30Speaker 1: has issued a statement saying there was no fight there.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So I just think this is just a little tip
- 11:37Speaker 1: of the hat. You know, stories are difficult. What we
- 11:39Speaker 1: do for a living is really tricky. All of us.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I truly believe this. All of us want to bring
- 11:44Speaker 1: you the most accurate, the most delicious, the most fun
- 11:48Speaker 1: news we can. And often we get told different things.
- 11:52Speaker 1: And so I was a little alarmed when I read
- 11:54Speaker 1: this outlet that had gone into a huge fight with
- 11:57Speaker 1: a Jamaican drug king. I was like, oh, Rob, because
- 12:00Speaker 1: my sources told me. And the other tell here. is
- 12:05Speaker 1: that he left the facility, the prison, around 1 a.m.
- 12:09Speaker 1: He was back before sunrise. Had he been seriously hurt,
- 12:14Speaker 1: he wouldn't have been returned so quickly. You can think
- 12:18Speaker 1: prisons are a terrible place, and they are, but they
- 12:21Speaker 1: do have medical care there, and these are professionals who
- 12:25Speaker 1: take their work very seriously, regardless of who they are treating.
- 12:30Speaker 1: So I'm told the fact Diddy was back within just
- 12:32Speaker 1: hours is a gift there. Okay, moving along. Tom Cruise
- 12:36Speaker 1: was panicked. It's very rare. Tom is normally as cool
- 12:40Speaker 1: as a cucumber. What ruffled Tom's feathers?
- 12:43Speaker 3: Yes, well, Tom Cruise reportedly went into a panic mode
- 12:46Speaker 3: for sure when he discovered that journalist Andrew Morton is
- 12:50Speaker 3: writing an unauthorized biography about him. You know, Tom's a
- 12:53Speaker 3: control freak. He likes to control the entire narrative of
- 12:56Speaker 3: his career, especially when it comes to Scientology and that
- 12:59Speaker 3: whole thing. So, It's a celebrity biographer, Jay Randy, as
- 13:02Speaker 3: celebrity biographer, Jay Randy Tarabarelli claims Cruz called him 30
- 13:07Speaker 3: times before arranging an urgent meeting at his Beverly Hills
- 13:11Speaker 3: mansion in 2007 because, you know, Tarabarelli writes all those
- 13:15Speaker 3: celebrity books.
- 13:15Speaker 2: And you don't know what's going to be in them, honey,
- 13:18Speaker 2: because he tells everything.
- 13:20Speaker 3: But, quote, this guy, Andrew Morton, is writing a book
- 13:23Speaker 3: about me, a invisibly rattled Cruz reportedly confessed. Now, Tarabarelli
- 13:27Speaker 3: advised the superstar to stop worrying. about something he could
- 13:31Speaker 3: not control. And Morton's controversial 2008 book examined Cruise's ties
- 13:35Speaker 3: to Scientology, as I just mentioned, and prompted legal threats
- 13:39Speaker 3: from the actor's attorney. So Cruise eventually thanked Tabarelli for
- 13:43Speaker 3: the expensive whiskey and a note and said, wait, Cruise
- 13:47Speaker 3: eventually thanked Tabarelli with expensive whiskey and a note, and
- 13:52Speaker 3: he just said, let it happen. You know, I think
- 13:55Speaker 3: there's a point, too, where if you're that famous as
- 13:57Speaker 3: Tom Cruise.
- 13:59Speaker 2: You're already there. Like there's nothing that's.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Going to come out unless you've like murdered someone or
- 14:04Speaker 3: harmed children that's really going to damage your career.
- 14:07Speaker 2: And so just let it go. You can't control every
- 14:09Speaker 2: narrative about yourself.
- 14:10Speaker 1: You can't. It's a good lesson for all of us.
- 14:12Speaker 1: You can't control what people say about you. Let them
- 14:16Speaker 1: say it. It's ultimately your work, what you do, your
- 14:19Speaker 1: actions that are going to tell your true story. So
- 14:23Speaker 1: I say, Let people gossip. It's interesting. In my PR days,
- 14:27Speaker 1: I used to talk to clients about this. I used
- 14:28Speaker 1: to prepare them, particularly young clients who were on their
- 14:31Speaker 1: way up. And I said, it's not just about the work.
- 14:35Speaker 1: It's also about handling the pressure of the spotlight and
- 14:39Speaker 1: people dissecting your life. And if you are by nature
- 14:43Speaker 1: a private individual, I don't know if this business is
- 14:46Speaker 1: going to be the right fit for you. Gone are
- 14:47Speaker 1: the days. where you could be an extraordinary musician who
- 14:50Speaker 1: was very private. Maybe Adele is the only person that
- 14:53Speaker 1: really pulls that off. Now, because of the social media,
- 14:56Speaker 1: because of the internet, when you are a star, everybody
- 15:00Speaker 1: is talking about you.
- 15:01Speaker 2: 24 hours a day.
- 15:02Speaker 1: You've got to get a thick skin. Can you imagine
- 15:04Speaker 1: being Beyonce every day? All the stuff that is just
- 15:06Speaker 1: thrown at her, good and bad. It's a real, real masterclass.
- 15:10Speaker 1: It's a skill that I think celebrities need to know
- 15:13Speaker 1: as much as playing a guitar or singing a song
- 15:16Speaker 1: or acting classes or singing. Singing classes. Okay, we're going
- 15:20Speaker 1: to take a quick break and we will be right back.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Naughty But Nice Show. I'm your host,
- 15:27Speaker 1: Rob Shooter. Hey, let's get to the polls. Thank you
- 15:30Speaker 1: very much. Last show we talked about Harry and Meghan.
- 15:34Speaker 1: They did a quasi-royal style event. It looked very royal, but...
- 15:39Speaker 1: They have been called private citizens by the crown, by
- 15:43Speaker 1: the king. Do you think they are just private citizens? 80%
- 15:47Speaker 1: said no. No, they're not. You can't just erase history.
- 15:53Speaker 1: The example I use is that Sex and the City
- 15:56Speaker 1: might be cancelled, but Sarah Jessica Parker will always be
- 16:00Speaker 1: Carrie Bradshaw.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Always. You can't take it away, okay? Don't forget to
- 16:04Speaker 1: vote on today's poll. Go to our X page and
- 16:08Speaker 1: nod your nose for Rob. Our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip,
- 16:11Speaker 1: and be sure to check back on Monday to hear
- 16:14Speaker 1: your results. And now it's time for our nicest of
- 16:19Speaker 1: the day. This is so honest. This guy has been
- 16:22Speaker 1: so truthful. That's what we love about this.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Yeah, this is a true story, too. I can relate
- 16:25Speaker 3: in some ways. So James McAvoy has starred in Hollywood blockbusters,
- 16:29Speaker 3: but only one movie keeps delivering reliable residual checks, and
- 16:33Speaker 3: that's 2017's Split. The actor revealed most of his films
- 16:37Speaker 3: pay him next to nothing and sometimes as little as
- 16:40Speaker 3: 25 cents. I say that because I've received royalty checks
- 16:43Speaker 3: from BMI for that same amount for songs I've written.
- 16:46Speaker 2: But M.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Night Shyamalan's psychological thriller Split was very different for McAvoy
- 16:50Speaker 3: because He says his first residual checks came at the
- 17:00Speaker 3: end of the first weekend, and he calls it bonkers.
- 17:03Speaker 3: So that indicates that there was a lot of money
- 17:06Speaker 3: there for him for that. But despite his acclaimed performance,
- 17:08Speaker 3: portraying 24 personalities, McAvoy received no major award nominations. Another
- 17:14Speaker 3: example he believes is Hollywood overlooking outstanding horror performances because
- 17:18Speaker 3: of the genre, he believes.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Right, they don't like genre. They don't like horror films, no.
- 17:22Speaker 3: But anyway, luckily he has that one residual to rely on.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Yeah, he's working hard. It's just, you know, he makes
- 17:28Speaker 1: a good living. I don't think he's claiming he's in
- 17:30Speaker 1: the poorhouse, but he's not the multimillionaire we think he is.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I've seen this all the time with celebrities. We think
- 17:36Speaker 1: everybody has $ 100 million.
- 17:37Speaker 2: It is just not true.
- 17:39Speaker 1: They don't. I've worked with celebrities. I've been to their homes.
- 17:43Speaker 1: The house is always the giveaway. If they have a
- 17:46Speaker 1: relatively regular house, they're not worth $ 100 million. If their
- 17:50Speaker 1: apartment is a couple of million, it's beautiful. What a
- 17:54Speaker 1: lovely life. But someone that's worth $ 100, $ 200, $ 300 million
- 17:58Speaker 1: doesn't live in a two-bedroom apartment in New York City,
- 18:00Speaker 1: which can cost $ 2 million.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah, $ 4 million.
- 18:04Speaker 1: The house is always the giveaway. Once again, these celebrities...
- 18:07Speaker 1: They don't earn as much money as you think. Okay,
- 18:10Speaker 1: now our naughtiest of the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty. Michael
- 18:12Speaker 1: Shea from SNL dodged questions about Shane Gillis' offensive SNL monologue. Now,
- 18:17Speaker 1: you might think it was funny. You might think it
- 18:19Speaker 1: was offensive. He's on SNL, he was on the Today Show,
- 18:23Speaker 1: and he was asked about it, and he really sort
- 18:25Speaker 1: of skirted the issue. Some people might think he's been
- 18:27Speaker 1: really clever here by not saying anything. I think that
- 18:30Speaker 1: if you're going to make an appearance on the Today Show,
- 18:33Speaker 1: you've got to expect that question. And to have no
- 18:35Speaker 1: opinion about it is just disingenuous. You have an opinion...
- 18:39Speaker 1: You just don't want to share it. And you know,
- 18:41Speaker 1: that's actually a better response. Saying, I don't want to
- 18:44Speaker 1: share this because I'm going to get it either way.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Be honest. Be honest. Okay. Now I noticed the day.
- 18:51Speaker 1: We did. I noticed the day. Now it's time for
- 18:53Speaker 1: a moment of rub. Everything great starts small. If you're listening,
- 18:58Speaker 1: Carrie and Megan, keep building. Don't underestimate small beginnings. Every
- 19:04Speaker 1: great success starts somewhere small. A business begins with one customer,
- 19:10Speaker 1: a podcast with one listener, a friendship with one hello,
- 19:14Speaker 1: a dream with one brave decision. So too often we
- 19:17Speaker 1: dismiss our progress because it doesn't look impressive enough. We
- 19:22Speaker 1: want thousands when we should be celebrating a hundred. We
- 19:25Speaker 1: want applause when we should be celebrating people just showed up.
- 19:30Speaker 1: But here's the secret. Success builds on success. One step
- 19:35Speaker 1: becomes two steps. 10 become 20, confidence grows, momentum builds,
- 19:40Speaker 1: and suddenly something that seemed impossible can suddenly seem real.
- 19:44Speaker 1: So don't measure how far you have to go. Measure
- 19:47Speaker 1: how far you've come. Start small, keep going keep building
- 19:51Speaker 1: and something wonderful will eventually happen awesome believe in the
- 19:56Speaker 1: process have patience hey that is it for this week
- 20:00Speaker 1: thank you so much for listening to the Naughty But
- 20:02Speaker 1: Nice with Rob and Corey show we're a production of
- 20:05Speaker 1: Elvis Duran and iHeartRadio don't forget to check out my
- 20:08Speaker 1: sub stack robshooter.substack And my new novel, Queen Elizabeth III,
- 20:12Speaker 1: is available right now for pre-orders. It comes out in
- 20:14Speaker 1: just about six weeks. If you're thinking about buying it,
- 20:17Speaker 1: I ask you to do so today. Those pre-orders really,
- 20:20Speaker 1: really help me. And remember, all together now, let me
- 20:23Speaker 1: hear you singing out loud. If you're going to be naughty,
- 20:26Speaker 1: you've got to be nice. Take care.
