Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a state of being.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome, everybody.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: It is the Mile High Hotel podcast.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Chad Jensen.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's Zach Kelverman.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: You know your football priest.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_02]: Hope everybody's doing well.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: Zach, my brother kind of combines in the books.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: So we got plenty to talk about there.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: But one of the best things about the combine is, sometimes it happens while it's going on.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: Zach, sometimes the rumors come.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: At in the immediate aftermath is insiders across the fruited plane right there little various notebooks right, but we had a couple of pretty juicy trade nuggets today, but I want to start with the one you wrote up for us, which is the scuddle but surrounding Jared Stittle.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so rich so many.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: He is an ESPN reporter.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's been covering the jets for like three decades.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: He did like a offseason.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: I guess a prep piece for what the jets might do.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: And he was going over quarterback for them.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: And they're going to release fields.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have a quarterback in the future.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're still deciding on that.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: One of the names that Semini Thurrell was Jarrett Stittum.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: And he was almost more speculative than he's reporting anything, Chad.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: It just would make sense because obviously A, then in a quarterback, and also B, the Jet GM Darren Moogie was a former Broncos exec, so he knows Jarrett Stittum.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's the only connection I see here, Chad.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: Ultimately, as I wrote in the piece, I don't see it.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's that likely that Stittum leaves Denver anytime soon.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that connection to Moogie does make some sense.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos, I think you'd have to really blow their doors down with a deal to get them to move off of Stidham just because as we saw, man, that weekly, up to the game, he's beloved in that locker room, the team loves him.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: And look, you know, he wasn't all that great in the AFC championship game, started out on good footing and then quickly devolved, but the Broncos like him as a relatively low
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's pretty good.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: They don't have a Sam Ellinger for sure.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: They could fall back on Nozak Wilson this year.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe if they had a third guy, it would make a little bit more sense.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: But then again, outside of one game, Zack, Bonyx has been pretty decked.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm reliable in terms of not letting have another backup get us a snap in edge wise.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he started all 34 regular season games, two playoff games.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: But then of course missed the most important one with that ankle.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: You brought up the most important point I think about Stitham here.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's the fact that he's so well-liked in the building and as long as Sean Peyton likes Jared Stitham, and he does He'll be employed by Denver as the back of quarterback.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that's the he's got all about right now It was a jets like trade scenario for Stitham ultimately though Chad or myself We don't believe that sitham's gonna be traded this off season
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: But like you said to some effect, it might not be the exact same words that you used in the article, but it's the NFL.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: So never say never, you never know, right?
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like stranger things have happened, but I don't see it.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see it in this instance with Old City.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_02]: Some holos in the chat, we got the Papa Bear checkin' in early, great to see you, my brother.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: A dear member and a superstar saying, good evening, Broncos Country, hashtag god bless the USA.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: Amen to that my friend.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: We need it right now.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_02]: That is for sure.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's great to see you.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: We got Sam Bam as well.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: Checking in what's going on.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: Big dog.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you back to back.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: Night's dude.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's awesome.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: He says.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: Hi, guys.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: There's no doubt the Broncos need to swing big this off season, adding weapons for bow and the offense plus Broncos have a good defense with PS2 and Benito and their prime need to capitalize on it.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_02]: Go Broncos.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's like.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: But where do they, where do they start?
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: We've done, I think, Zach, a pretty good job this offseason, highlighting the need areas and surprise surprise.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: You get George Peyton and Sean Peyton at the podium at the, at the combine last Tuesday and they're saying the same thing, right?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: They're saying, running back, they're saying, well, let's see, they said running back, tied in a linebacker.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_02]: One position that they didn't really throw out there as a need, wide receiver, what do you make it up?
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's it's draft season.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's smoke season.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: Anything can happen.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: They might be intentionally not mentioning a player that might go after you got a yacht.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: It could be gamesmanship, whatever.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: We all know Chad.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: They need to receive her.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: We all know it wasn't good enough.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the biggest indication they're going to go out and get one is what Sean Payton said right after the AFC title loss.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: He literally said the receivers aren't catching the ball properly.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: And then he went out and fired their wide receivers coach.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: Going off his actions, I would assume that they're going to be in the market, wholesale upgrading their offense sand because like you said, they're still in that Super Bowl window with Bo Nix on his rookie contract.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: Now is the time to strike.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the super.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: But no doubt about it dude, they need some weapons.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: Amen.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: They got a strike while this iron's hot.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: Bo's only cheap for
- 5:19[SPEAKER_02]: maybe two more years, you know, um, so we'll see.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what they do, but free agencies act the legal tampering window opens a week from today.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: And then, uh, two days after that, the official new league year.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll be, we'll be covering that for sure on the reg.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get to the Ben Power stuff here in a second.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: But first, we can't keep the lady D waiting who's jumping in with a generous super chat.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: They love you, lady D, and by the way,
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: gifted 20 MHHH YouTube memberships to folks in the chat.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_02]: So we love you.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: Give our best to David.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: Hope everyone's doing well at the Henry at Clan Henry.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: She says hi, Chad and Zach.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think trading stood him to a team for picks would be a great idea or even getting quality player for him.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: He could start on some teams.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's what Sean Payton said.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: We think he could start on a handful of teams.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think she says this is more smoke than true though.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: I am surprised we didn't do more
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: to get a Montgomery the running back that was trade exact from Detroit.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: So let's start with the state of thing.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, what we were saying earlier, I don't necessarily think it would be a bad idea to trade him if you could get something good for him, right?
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like he's a resource.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's the kind of resource that, you know, it's better to, you want to have one, if you need to turn to it, but it's a
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: you know, if you could get any value out of it, that's that's a something that you pursue and especially Zach with how much quarterback values out there on the free agent market this year or that's expected to be it's going to be harder for the Broncos to try and just trade it here instead of because there's a lot of options out there for teams like maybe the most I've ever seen in free agency, at least the way it's trending.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: But what do you make of that trade and, you know, whether the
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: You know, checking on all the calls, right?
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like George Payton likes to sit and make an all the calls.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with what you said.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same thing I wrote in the article.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: For this to happen, Deanna.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: And again, thank you so much off the rip for your generous super.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos would need to be blown away by an offer.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: And he's still a quarterback.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's how I feel anyway.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: Bo Nix, God forbid, did go down again.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: Jared Stinham, I believe, is better than about 60% and 65% of other backup corebacks of the NFL.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: The AFC title game, not with standing.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: So he's still a very important player.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: And if I could, I would prefer to keep him, but if not, it's going to take it least.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say a second round pick to prime for my cold dead hands.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: Boyle boy, if you could get a second rounder for steady, that would be an absolute King's ransom for a backup quarterback.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: And a guy who you've only had to turn to as a starter, really, I guess three total times since he signed up.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: Those two games at the end of 23 and then the
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: kind of lackluster playoff game.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: So if you can get a second round pick out of that, boy, oh boy, I'm getting that deal done ASAP and that's not to say I'm like not stoked on steady, but if you can get a second round pick for your backup quarterback, heck yeah, but Montgomery's that could have done funny thing about him.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: you know what the Broncos need at running back is that between the tackles guy right the the not so much necessarily power runner although if you could get a guy that could move the pile on a third and shorter whatever that be nice but a guy who can give you that down to down consistency and allow RJ Harvey to kind of be in that natural position as third down weapon and red zone weapon but he ended up the Broncos to my knowledge we're not involved in
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the thing about Sidham too is he'd be traded to be a starter somewhere.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're a team that's maybe a quarterback away and he thinks didn't can be that quarterback, giving up a second round pick might not be that much if you were that team, but with Montgomery, Deanna, the trade was a little skewed.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think in the in Detroit's favor, they got a fourth round pick and a player back for a running back, they might have caught anyway.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: I would have been okay with it, I guess, but I would rather go out and re-sign JK Dobbins.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like whatever Montgomery can do as a power runner.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: JK Dobbins can do as well.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: He also knows the offense already.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: Wouldn't have to give up draft picks for him.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: He'd be cheaper.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: I was kind of surprised like you bring up Tyler Algear and everyone knows that's my ideal solution paired with a JK Dobbins recign.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: Just for Krabs and Giggles today, I was doing some research on the free agent field.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I was reading NFL.com's Greg Rosenthal, Top 100 or 101, whatever it was, free agents of 2026.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, it was interesting to see two guys, two Broncos on there, John Franklin
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was literally player 100, Zach was Tyler Algear, which surprised me a little bit.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I think this is going to be one of those instances where he ends up having a bigger market than maybe the press and the national press anyway, may have realized, but it's still early.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: Plenty of time left to see how this is going to shake out again, legal tampering in a week from today, which means that's when teams like the Broncos can call up a Tyler Algear and say,
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: what you want three years, 22 million, all right, you got it sign on the line, you know, you'll be signing on the line that is dotted in two days, but let's agree to terms, you got it.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_02]: But I would think Zack, some of that stuff, first things first, they got to figure out which of their own free agents they wanna bring back.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_02]: And we haven't really seen any of those dominoes fall yet, names that were mentioned by the brass at the combine, singleton, strunad, and of course, JK Dobbins.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I think troutman, although Peyton brought up troutman,
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: It was either, it wasn't at the podium, I'm pretty sure it was either in the Rich Eisen conversation that he had or the Pat McAfee, I can't remember which.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: They've kind of started making decisions at running back.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: They burn bringing back Tyler Badeh.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: They are not tendering for now to little McLaughlin.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_01]: So if you wanted an outyear, you nailed it, Chad.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I've been hearing as market value is about three years, 22, 24 million.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: That would be about half the cost of a brief haul if you were to sign a brief haul who would command about 14, 15, 16 a year.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: You know what, Chad?
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: I would happily do that for outyear in the same scenario you laid out.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: a brief sign dobbins sign algear run it back with harvey and you have a nice free headed backfield.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_02]: What else year want it we're going to grab the Duchess here next, but would Algear want to come this is I haven't really thought of it like this until just now, but Algear he's been stuck for three years behind B. John right, B. John Robinson to see want to go to a room where he might be the second guy heck might be the third guy now the way Sean Peyton deploys running backs it's kind of a
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: It makes me wonder what Denver be a place he would want to go.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think as it terms of the team stock and the way the Broncos are now viewed in the NFL, making it to the AFC championship, you got Sean Payton, you got Bonyx.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot there that will attract free agents generally speaking, but from a situational standpoint, it makes me wonder if Alger would find Denver attractive.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: If there's any team in the NFL that you would be comfortable with in that committee back field, it's got to be Sean Peyton, all right?
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, no other coaches is back running back some more on a weekly basis than Sean Peyton.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I would assume, no, you bring up a good point.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: I would assume, Aljair, if he were to sign here, yeah, money always talks, but he would have to have some assurance that he would get the lion share of the touches.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: Even if it's 55%, the majority of the touches would go to Tyler Aljair and you could sprinkle in Dobbins and Harvey after that.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's a nice little plan they would have there.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: And you would think that if you're going to pay a running back upwards of somewhere between seven, eight million per year, you would offer them some kind of an assurance like that right kind of in the same way that when you signed Evan Ingraham last year, you're filling his head full of joker and all this we're going to use you, you're the missing link weapon that we've been needing right didn't quite shake out that way at least not in year one, but I imagine those kind of conversations would be have a lady.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: Jumping in, a dear member, Mount Rushmore Superstar, dear friend, appreciate the generosity my friend.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: It means a lot to us.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know that.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: She says, I'm not hurt that we didn't get Montgomery a fourth and a seventh and a lineman is bonkers for a running back Zach that'll be third.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, McCail.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think the Texans overpaid a little bit for Montgomery who's not his backfield Me, he wasn't even the best running back into Troy.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's why they traded him in the first place and the Texans already had a nice young runner in Woody Marks So I don't necessarily understand it.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think they did overpay and I'm glad the Broncos were the ones that stood on the sideline for this one.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, McCail
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how it shakes out.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: We started seeing some moves today, right?
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: This move and some other stuff happen in other announcements.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: So get excited, Michaela, because we're kind of hitting that home stretch, the run up between the end of the combine and beginning of the new league year, where teams kind of come out of the combine and they have a better idea of what their draft priorities are and they start making what decisions they're going to make.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: There will be some players that we haven't even thought of yet.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: getting cranked out onto the market, how to fellow who's a listener of email me out of the blue.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, that's how I found out about it because I was busy working, doing some stuff.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: And he emailed me to say, oh, Marsha, I'm glad I'm where we got to go get him the Sean Peyton connection, yada yada.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not making a comment on whether the Broncos should, but situations like that, Zach, are going to continue to pop off over the next week.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_02]: And the Broncos got to be ready to pounce if there's a guy that they feel like can really help out.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: back guy.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure you need him and he's kind of he's kind of been on the decline really the people say I wasn't used correctly in that scheme, but I'm not sure you really need him.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: You do not.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you have Rally Moss you have Chris Abrams drain behind Rally Moss you drafted Jada bear and you don't need a march on a lot of more, but your point is is correct here Chad because the Broncos now are a destination franchise.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: No longer, like the last 10 years, are free agents avoiding them like the plague because there's some basement dweller or a relevant.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: This is a team that was a healthy starting quarterback away from either making the Super Bowl or winning the Super Bowl and you better believe free agents are going to want to come to Denver this off season.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_02]: Well said, love you, Michaela.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's great to see you tonight, my friend.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_02]: And look at this.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: The ladies of MHH show an out big time tonight.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: We got you in the middle.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: That can end off the top row.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you were able to get into the dentist today, my friend.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much for your phenomenal generous support.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_02]: You guys know how much it means to us.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: She says, hey, Chad's ex Scott and Broncos Country, I don't see the Broncos trading city.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: Other than the Broncos, do you think J.K. Dobbins will have a big market?
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: That's a really interesting question, Zach, because once again, he butted up against the same old limitations that he wasn't really able to alter that perception of him being injury-prone, the way his season ended in Denver.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: But even though his year before with the chargers was his
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: quote unquote career year in terms of the most yards he's rushed for and all that stuff.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: I would argue that he looked the best and he the profile he kind of was able to build in those 10 weeks.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: He was healthy.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's as kind of pinnacle relative to his lead cashier right now as he could get and yet he still has that.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_02]: you know, man, wish you could stay on the field thing.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: What kind of market?
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: Because as every day between now and March 11th, the passes, and we don't have word that the Broncos of Resign Dobbins, it means that they're going to let them test the market and see, you know, hey, what's out there for you and decide whether or not they, their valuation of them is right or whatever, you know, or let them go.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Shannon.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, thank you so much.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you're feeling better.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: I saw that you had a two things extracted at the dentist.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: So it's never fun and hope you got some nice pain meds to do with that.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: The thing is with this, you have to define what big market would be here.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: what what to me big would be more than two two or three teams interested chat.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think the biggest market dobbins is going to have or with the Broncos because they know him he's coming off an injury he doesn't have much outside leverage and you're right he's been tightcast as what he is which is a potential top five top 10 running back in the NFL when he's healthy the problem is he's never freaking healthy.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he had a big market before he signed with the Broncos.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: And now after another season, anything is your anonos and have a big one again.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think if the Broncos wanted back, they're going to be able to get him back.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's not going to go in the first wave.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of my feeling here.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Shannon.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_02]: If memory serves and I would open it up on my on an extra tab, but my internet's been acting weird the last couple of days.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not going to risk screwing with the bandwidth.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: But if memory serves, Zack, there's a reason I'm going to take a second here.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: Jake A. Dobbins got off to a great start with the chargers in 2024 was rolling.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was a knee if memory serves missed four games, finished the season healthy, but he missed four games like tail end of the third quarter of the season kind of going right coming back like somewhere down the stretch.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: So my point though here is yeah, he missed time in 2024, but he did finish the season on the roster and yet and yet.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_02]: languished on the free agent market till when I mean literally almost the last point that you could sign a guy and have him participate at all in your offseason training program mid June.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_02]: So the question is did he do what I said about you know I think his profiles about as good as it's ever been in the NFL right now as good as it can be really the Broncos were a winning team he contributed greatly to that success while he was healthy was that
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: change and alter that equation.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not convinced that it is, which is why.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Broncos, if they want to make relatively short work of bringing him back, they could.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: They could just go to JK and be like, hey, dude, you signed last year for one year, two million.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do, how about this?
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: We love what you brought to the room.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: We love the leadership.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: We love the production when you were healthy.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_02]: How about, you know, two years, six million with that's like up to six million where he's getting roughly two million per year, but the other extra million per season you could earn three incentives and it's basically front loaded where after year one they could move on zero pain.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I love that.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: I would sign up for that in a heartbeat, but the question is whether J.K. Will, because you know what is, you know, one at this point of his career.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't blame him either as a free agent.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to want some guaranteed money.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if you're a GM, not in Denver, if you're a GM, not named George Peyton, are you willing to give J.K. Dobbins a lot of guaranteed money or considerable guaranteed money?
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't be as a GM, because as good as he could be, Chad, he's never on the field to take advantage of it.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's always a hypothetical.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why I like you were saying there, like I was saying
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: Denver.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I was genuinely proud of RJ Harvey for staying healthy the whole year and I don't even really remember him popping up on injury reports with a ding or a bruise.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm sure he did, probably had a little something here and there, but you know, it's when running back and do that in a modern NFL age where your season is 17 games long and then you know, if you're a playoff team,
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: extrapolate that into January and beyond that's that's saying something so we'll see we'll see Shannon and as someone who very recently for the first time in my life ever had to have a tooth extracted back top back left molar
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's no fun.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: I feel I feel for you and I hope you get feeling better.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: Really really soon my friend and thank you again so much.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: Michaela jumping back in saying, love you guys.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: I can't do more economy's crazy.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: Michaela you've been awesome for how many years now for how many years that you're great.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_02]: You're phenomenal.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_02]: And you know this as well as anyone or at least I hope you do and that is whether someone drops 99 cents 99 99 99 or in some cases it's it's more we appreciate that so much because that's money that you work for one way or another that you earned and so we take it as a great badge of honor and you know that and a true privilege and responsibility so don't even trip I mean all the contributions you've made and yeah things are kind of
- 22:17[SPEAKER_02]: kind of weird right now is that out in the world.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: Or if we got this from you guys if it was zero point zero zero just your insight interactions you got you guys getting on here interaction with us every single night and Chad said exactly what I was going to say to you Michaela you know better by now you've been with us for years and years you've met us at the meet and greet you know we're all family here you do what you can you take care of yourself we're just happy to talk to you each and every night.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: Every meet and greet.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty sure she's been to every one of the meet and greets and hang out going to the games with us and stuff.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's awesome.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: We love you.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate it.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, love you.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_02]: We also have Lady D jumping back in again from the top rope and see the idea.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: This is what I'm saying is, I mean, the level of support.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have Scott.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if Chad froze over to my end.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to assume it's Chad.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just read D. N. Hopefully it's not me and I'm not over talking Chad right now.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: But $100 super from D. N. Thank you so much.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: Please hit the like button.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: Share and subscribe.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: 85 watching and only eight have hit the like button, give it the thumbs up must be a dental month.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going tomorrow, ugh, is right.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: I just hope we land a true number one regardless of who it is.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: I like Dobbins and a true number one.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you so much, Diana, for your generosity.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: We say it at Nazium.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: You've heard me say it over and over dozens of times, but we truly appreciate it from our hearts.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: Channel people back on in a second.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: Streaming our just being a BIT, you know what?
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: They'll be back on here.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have Scott in the background, so it's just me.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: But I agree with Diana with what you're saying.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: Everything here, including a dental, there's nothing I hate more.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing I hate more than the dentist.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's the worst kind of pain you can have and the worst situation you could be in.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: But you definitely are hitting on something.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying here you're speaking my language.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: I want true number ones across the board.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to settle.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to nickel and dime.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to take the easy way out or the passive way out for bonics.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go right in.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: go all in for your franchise quarterback.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you again, Diana.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I don't know what the heck's going on with my internet guys because I don't know if it's my browser.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: It can't be my internet, but it's been a trend the last two or three days, so I might have to call them tomorrow and figure out maybe I need a new router or something.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: So I apologize, uh-oh.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: Not again, not again, not again.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so thank you so much, Diana, like we're having some technical difficulties.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: It happens around here.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's happened to me.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's happened to chat, it's happened to Scott.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: It happens to everyone, stream yard, sucks.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: Planned and simple.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you hear that to your stream yard, y'all are trash.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: Perl says, I'm like, use that.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: I hate the dentist.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, thoughts and prayers to Diana for having to bear through that, you know, you're in our thoughts and we'll be here.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: Do you need anything?
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, what's Roy saying, a broken hip hurts worse than a pull tooth exact trust me.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'll take your word for it, Roy, because I've never had a broken hip and I don't want a broken hip.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry that you went through that.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: I would assume it does hurt worse, but I don't know, man, tooth pain for what I've been through in my life, like stomach pain, head pain, tooth pain, ear pain, ear pains, a close second, like a bad ear ache, but man, when you have a tooth problem, there's nothing worse.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I live off
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we got Matthew grew 88, 27, that's a newer name.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if that's an older member or a newer member, but we appreciate you, Matthew.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for hopping in here.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect 3 round draft for the Broncos, Omar Cooper, Junior, Jacob Rodriguez, and Eli Raerdin, as for free agency, sign, Algier, Caden Ellis, Auden, and a receiver.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, on Matthew, you were very specific as to who you wanted for every other player.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you want for a receiver?
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm interested to know, genuinely I would like your feedback.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate the super.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: I was here, I'll sign off on that.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: I chads up maybe a little, little higher on Algier than I am.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: I would still go all in for brief all, but it might not be possible.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: I would also settle for Travis ETN or Rico Dowdoll just get me an upgrade on Tyler Badeon and McLaughlin and both those players are, but I'll take Algier all day.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: if it came to that.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: Caden Ellis, as a linebacker, it'd be fun to pair him with his brother, and the Broncos do need a linebacker, but if you re-signed Singleton, you're bringing back Jerry Greenlaw, does he really fit in?
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: Caden Ellis is going to get a considerable amount of money on the open market.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: And he should, he was a terrific player in Atlanta who not many people know about, but he's a really solid linebacker.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to get starters money.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: But unless the Broncos cut green lawn or don't resize single-tinter strunud, I don't see them being able to wheel catanellas into Denver when he can get other offers elsewhere.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: But Kate Oten at Titan, good with that.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: There's other Titans on the board, Dallas, Goddard Isaiah, likely David and Joku.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: All these other players that I wouldn't mind the Broncos going after, but Oten's definitely one of them.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: I like what he's done in Tampa Bay, catching passes for Baker Mayfield.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: And again, who you want at receiver, Matthew, let me know.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: Let me, let me see if you set it in the comments.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you did yet, but yeah, let me know who you want it receiver.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: You guys know how I feel about it.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to sign on my Kevin's.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to sign a tie or a kill.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to sign a Romeo dobs.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go big.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go all in.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: I want to jump headfirst into the deep end.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: Go get me a jail in water.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: Go get me a Garrett Wilson who, according to reports, is not going to get traded from New York, whatever.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: I almost curse.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: Man, go get me an H.A.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: Brown, go get me a Chris Olave, go get me a drink London, go get me a no doubt upgrade on the incumbent receivers that you trotted out there in the AFC championship game.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: And that will be difficult because those receivers were named Elijah Moore and Little Jordan Humphrey.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's unacceptable, unacceptable completely.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I'm, I'm, I'm sorry to get worked up, but I still think about the AFC title game and we have Chad back in the, uh, back in the building here.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: I still get worked up Chad thinking about that AFC title loss, man.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it makes me hot.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, dude.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: Um.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm on a different browser.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully it might just be Chrome because I'm looking to my internet doesn't appear to me my internet.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm sorry, guys, but yeah, dude, how can you not the Broncos were so close, so close, man, top of the mountain after 10 years of wandering the NFL desert exact.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: this close and it's a bonus fracture that derails.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos were at least going to this Super Bowl.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'll hear people's arguments who say, and list the reasons why there's no way they could have got past Seattle, but I'm sorry.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: Seattle did not look like world leaders to me in that game.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: The second half, yeah, the defense started getting theirs when it was getting desperate,
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: at worst, the Broncos trade field goals with Sam Darnold in the first half, and the defense gives Bo a chance, at least, in the fourth quarter.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: So so close, and that encourages me that they can get back.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: I would have put a mortgage payment straight up on the fact that if Bonyx would have played in the AFC title game, they would have won that game.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't have gone beyond that.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't have said they're guaranteed to win the Super Bowl over the Seahawks, who were just the better team against the Patriots, but I would have put a mortgage payment shed on the fact they would have got there with Bonyx.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's still, it's so raw still.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: it makes you feel sick to your stomach if you really spend any time thinking about it and dwelling on it because we know how true it is and yet to even say it people laugh at you now you're living in the past Mr. what are they saying about Bob Mr. if or what is it oh what if or what if you know whatever bone next now here's the thing the way Sean Peyton portrays it
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: is that, you know, people want to say, hey, coach, you know, what do you got to do to take the next step forward in 2026, he doesn't like looking at it that way because he views it almost like a game of what did he call it shoots and ladders where the end of each game someone wins someone loses and then everybody starts over from scratch and there's a lot of truth to that, right, you know, that makes sense, but at the same time, the teams that have the coaching teams that have the quarterback,
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: teams that have the defense, teams that have the run game, teams that have the online, et cetera, tend to kind of start from maybe square three or four, so to speak.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: I was always a candy land fan myself, put shoots and letters, it wasn't entertaining.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: What happened to board games, man?
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: They're huge in my family.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm the only one in my family that doesn't really like playing board games, and it's not that I don't like it.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's that I'm so ADD that like, you got to keep me.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: There's not enough stimulation going on.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I can do it if I really, really hone in.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you, the game my kids and my wife have got me to like plan.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's technically not a board game, but it's played as like, you know, kitchen table or whatever called Rummy Cube.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_02]: Have you ever played that?
- 31:15[SPEAKER_02]: I play, Gin Rummy.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know anything about anything else as far as what Jen Rummy might be even be because I'm so not a game player person, but that game is actually pretty fun.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of a dick game keeps you sharp, you know, you're engaged.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: So for what it's worth, but I remember back in the day I was more when I was a child at Candyland as well.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: uh, monopoly although I rarely won at monopoly.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: I ended up hating monopoly to what it worked.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: Took too damn long to complete a game, but yeah, clue man, there were so many good.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: There were so many good games.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: Did you ever play Stratego?
- 31:49[SPEAKER_02]: I did a few times that that now that I think about it, you know, you get talking about it.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: Some of these things are buried in the gins and psyche, but that was my game dude, was strategic.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: That was the game I liked the most.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: Battleship, don't break the ice.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's so many men nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no doubt.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: Matthew, you do.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry that I was kind of out for most of that interaction big dog.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't know.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think it might just be my
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: My the browser Chrome was acting up the last few days.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know because so far so good right on I'm on Firefox and so far so good.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: All right, fingers crossed and that's if you, I mean, I had to do that some point during the season, too, if you guys recall, I had to start using Firefox because Chrome was not interacting well with stream yard.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: Then it got its act together, and here we go again.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: George Fox in the house, what's up, brother?
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see on Facebook.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: Have you seen any true trades that might be ours soon, Broncos, for life, and Mitch, for life, hit the thumbs up, guys?
- 32:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know nothing nothing serious all those act.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't really talked about what
- 32:54[SPEAKER_02]: Jeremy Fowler of ESPN wrote coming out of the combine in his combine notebook.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: He said, quote, two offensive linemen to potentially be included in trades are Ben Power or Greenbase, quit jumping on me.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: Greenbase, Elchon, Elton Jennings and Denver's Ben Powers both have large cap hits and potential value.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: So Zach, you did a, did it just
- 33:24[SPEAKER_02]: you explained in your stinomarkle, which I read of course, I read everything, the financials of Ben Powers.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: But how serious do you see that being?
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: possible.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_02]: Ben Powers getting dealt by the Broncos.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's more legitimate and more realistic than trading stadium.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: Because this is a guy that you already have his back up potentially waiting in the wings, and maybe you and I disagree a little bit on Palcho, but maybe they're counting on Gargulo, Gargulo coming back, excuse me.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: But you already have some young talent waiting in the wings.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_01]: You can't say the same about back up quarterback behind Bow Nix.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're going to make this move, that means that you're going to, you've made the decision that you want to move on, that if you can't try to find a trading partner, you're going to cut Ben powers and eat the money and take whatever cap game you can get this is the smart play here chat.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Ben powers was ever a true ideal fit in a Sean Peyton system.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: It was good on paper, but it never materialized in actuality.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: So if you can get anything for him, take his, his cap number off the books.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're going to try to do that.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, regardless of what I'm, I think, by the way, I'm not saying that Palcho was a crap show or anything like he, he stepped in, remember, he was the third option that left guard.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: It went Ben Powers, Bicep goes down week five, Philly, and then it was Matt Perth that was initially tapped.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: He suffered, I forget what the injury was.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: Was it a knee-zack in the very next game where he started the jet's game?
- 34:49[SPEAKER_02]: And then palcho was like, all right dude, because palcho, yeah, he was utility as a interior swing guy, but up to that point you had kind of been more the right tackle back up to Mike McGlenchi, so he got thrown in, he had to kind of learn.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: How to set everything again on the left side, which, you know, it's not that easy, it's easier to do for interior guards to switch from right to left or left to right, but tackles it's way harder.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, you cut them a little bit of slack, but it doesn't matter what I think the Broncos love Alex Pelchesky.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: And yet, he's a restricted free agent.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't had any news that they're planning on tendering him.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I can only assume that they're planning on resigning him, but if they want to do that,
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: They better get to it before the open market actually hits to save off any potential um... suitors
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have a power is contract, so I'll pull up in front of me, but if you sign a palcho to an extension, you pay him two, three, four million a year on a two-year deal, whatever, that's still so much cheaper as a starting lineman than you would thrust any bend powers out there.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe it's my own opinion, my own bias against powers.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: I never was that blown away.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: And when palcho did come in the lineup, I thought they played comparable.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's not better at times.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: But how much of that shed is because of bonus.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly, yeah, there's a lot of truth to that, you know, bonus people say, oh, of course he's like the least sack quarterback besides Jordan loves since he entered the league.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he's got a great offensive line.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: Well, but you go and look at his numbers in college that was one of the things that drew Sean Peyton to him as a prospect minimum minimal negative plays and especially he's a tough sack he does not take sacks and so that benefits the align I think look this is not me hating on the align I think at times it has made the Broncos offensive line.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: look a little bit better than it might actually be.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: But nevertheless, Taylor, seven months were celebrating him being a member since we rolled it out, brother.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, pal.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: He says with David Montgomery off the board, maybe Zach free agency is the way to go at running back.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: If you mean free agency tailored because you're the king of acronyms, uh, yeah, there was always the way to go.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: I was never in favor of trading for a running back when there's Super Bowl 60 MVP out there, Kenneth Walker.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_01]: When there's a guy with no worth a lot of turn on his tires, excuse me, entire the RLG or a super star running back or at least a star running back in free saw.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: I was never the biggest fan of giving up a pick for a running back when you go sign one for free in that sense.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: Well said, Taylor, it's so good to see a buddy.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_02]: We got Kirsten Bailey drummer in the house.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: They appear member and a fellow drummer.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: She says, like, subscribe and comment, it helps.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: This is true.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: As they say, for the algorithm, right?
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: Every like, every sub, every comment.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_02]: And as it relates, as you guys know to the subscribing thing, we're at 38,200 and something
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: subs right now in our goals.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: We're trying to get to 40k on YouTube.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: When we do, we're going to have a fun celebration.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to wrap up some swag to the community.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: So if you like to listen, even if you're not a commenter and you're listening live or after the fact on the Reagan, you're not subbed, just take that extra step, sub help us get to 40k.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: Care is doing great to see you.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Kirsten, thank you so much.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: And everyone else, please heed the advice here, like, comment, subscribe.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: But most importantly, please, like Chad said, help us pump up that God forsaken Algo, hit that like button, helps us out tremendously.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, our lives are now ruled by Algo rhythms.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: How crazy is that, man?
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's like the Terminator series come into life or the Matrix in like weird ways, like they were getting us ready for something.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_02]: cares to know as a comment she said we need pass receiving threats that don't drop the ball and can get open receive or tight and running back a combination of the three would be great whether it be in free agency or the draft yet and once again i just want to shout out the ladies of MHH you guys are so amazing we'd love you we appreciate you
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, the Broncos have one of the best pass catching running backs in the NFL.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's the good news with RJ.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: So box check, but tie-dend Zach.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: They have exactly one guy under contract for 2026.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: His name is Evan Ingraham.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_02]: Adam Troutman, I got an article coming out on this in about 30 minutes.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_02]: He's a free agent.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: Adkins, Nate Adkins, and Lucas Crowler both restricted free agents.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't expect either to be tendered.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: So it's a need.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: Question is, how do the Broncos view it?
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: Because Adam Troutman has a wide tight endsack in line, a guy who can competently block as well as run out and run around and catch a pass.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: has left much to be desired in that arena and yet two years ago on the very first day of free agency, the Broncos resigned him to a two year seven, I think it was seven and a half million dollar deal.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: And then when the Broncos traded for him originally from New Orleans when Sean Peyton first arrived, the first chance he got to speak about the trade, he said that
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'll quote if he said that you look out at the the tight ends they had at the time which included uh... Chris man hurts and i'm uh... Greg dole sitch and i'm trying to remember the the rest of the room but that's enough for now he's uh... he's uh... the one guy who can give us solid blocking i'm going
- 40:29[SPEAKER_02]: kind of an interesting way to phrase it when manhors was on your roster at the time, but Zach, in no way, shape or form has been solid as a blocker.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's a big reason why the Broncos struggled without a back that could create like JK.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: He's a big reason why their run game hit the frickin' wall from week 11 on.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, really good points there.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: And here's some good points as well because receivers in need, tight ends in need, running backs in need, unquestionable.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: The differences or the question is, how do the Broncos rank those needs?
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: What do they attack first?
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: Where do they attack them first?
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: How do they attack them?
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: How much money do they allocate to attacking them or resources or what have you?
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think they are going to address all three, but they're going to split it between free agency and draft.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that you're going to find, or I'm sorry, I'm sorry, to a...
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: go too long.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that you're going to find your running back if you don't get one of the big three on the open market.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're going to have to look in the draft for that receiver, though, maybe a trade, tight end, maybe the draft.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have to kind of combine all of your avenues to build up your office.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: And there are some really interesting guys in this draft.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, for where the Broncos look, we all would love a Jeremiah love.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: No pun intended.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_02]: But he's not going to be feasible, unless the Broncos want to trade a huge amount of capital to try and move into the top 10.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: So the guys that come next for me, Zach, in that wave, it's Mike Washington, Jr., who ran a 433 Zach at what is he?
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: 223 pounds saw him for three days straight at the senior bull.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_02]: He's an impressive player.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: Ham or Jadari in price are guys that somewhere between that pick 30 and pick 62 whether you stay at both picks or whether you trade back and around to or trade up from your 62.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: Either way, those are the two guys that to me make the most sense for the Broncos relative to what they are as prospects and what the Broncos need, but you know, if you go out and sign algae or bring back JK.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: you don't necessarily need to use a top 100 pick on a running back unless it's absolutely your best player available, but that's kind of a myth.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: The whole best player available thing is kind of a myth.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: There's some truth to it, but man, teams, draft players, they feel like they're going to need.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: Let's be honest.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: And the same exact thing can apply to Titan.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Kenny and Sidique is who everyone wants.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: He would fit so perfectly in a Sean Peyton offense, catching passes again from Bonix.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's your Titan of the future.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: I have no doubt about it, but if you go out and you address that need on the open market, you bring it in a joke, or a Dallas gotter, what have you, whatever, then you might not use that first round pick on a Titan.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: So once again, I'll say like every other podcast, it's so hard to project what the Broncos are gonna do in April when we're barely into March.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_02]: All right, we got Matthew coming in again, right?
- 43:24[SPEAKER_02]: This is a second, a second one.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a little discombobulated from the internet stuff, but thank you, Matthew, appreciate you big dog.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: Wanna invite you become a member and make sure at the very least you are subscribed so we can get to that 40K.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_02]: Matthew says, oh, Mark Cooper is my dream first round pick if we don't trade for a top receiver or sign a depth receiver, like us,
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: Ben Draft, J. Rod and Rarradin, like I said before, Zack, I'm not too high on Dobbs.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a fine player for what he is, but the Broncos already have guys that can be high level 2s and threes.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_02]: Now, Shahida, I'm a lot more interested in just because he brings a little bit more of a wild card element speed element, but the thing I would like the most about him is
- 44:18[SPEAKER_02]: bring it and you'd have like the best kick returning tandem for sure in the NFL.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I was going to say about Dobbs as well.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'd rather just give the money and the snaps to Marvin Mims and finally develop him as a true receiver.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: Not just a kick returner, not just a gadget player, but a true full-time receiver.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_01]: He knows the offense, he has chemistry with Bo.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: At times, he was the most consistent, reliable receiver.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: We're both Mims fans around here, but I do not hate Matthew at all the thought of building up the offense and making it a super power for Bo Knicks.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: Matthew, appreciate it and Cooper's awesome dude.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a fan of Cooper if he were of the pick.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be for it, man.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: Pearl says I heard that Kenyan City didn't do well at the company.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, he, he, I don't know where you heard that, but he reportedly
- 45:04[SPEAKER_02]: was very impressive in his interviews from the little bit of buzz that leaked out on that teams usually keep that kind of stuff pretty buttoned up.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: But there was some buzz that leaked that he blew some teams away in the meetings with his just overall knowledge, football character, football IQ, all that stuff.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_02]: And then on the field, O-M-G, dude was dominant, just absolute
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought he acquitted himself very well in Indy and he's going to be a sure fire first round pick.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's a matter of can he play and he can definitely play.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: He'll be a first round or the question becomes do the Broncos want to move up form in the first round.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: What they even need to move up form in the first round.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: We'll find out soon enough.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_02]: Sue, a dear member, says, I think if Sadie gets into the 20s and remember, the Broncos are picking at 30.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos have got to go get him.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_02]: Chiefs are looking at him too.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and as she brings up your chiefs met with him twice.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, yeah, he makes a lot of sense.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: As if you're a chiefs, this guy to give you
- 46:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know, make you feel go cold a little bit, the thought of it, but Travis Kelsey, like the successor to Travis Kelsey, how much would you hate to see a guy like Kenyan Sadik and Casey?
- 46:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, that's pretty much worst case scenario.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: The pick makes too much sense not to happen if you're the chiefs.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: We just have to hope in in that regard they either pass on him.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_01]: The another team jumps up in front of them or the bragos jump up in front of them for Kenyan Sadik.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_01]: But that's a definite possibility, Sue.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for bringing that out.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: A Ron jumping in to talk about that Oregon safety, Dylan Theanaman in the 2026 NFL, hit mock draft show with Talonohu Funga.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_02]: They would keep the quarterback up all night.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: Do that kid Theanaman Theanaman, Theanaman, had a phenomenal combine as well.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: He helped himself out a lot, depending on just how much the Broncos value their need there at safety.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_02]: with Talonohu Funga because that because you brought up, it sounds like PJ Locke, who is an unrestricted free agent, probably going to follow or could very well anyway, follow Jim Leonard to the Buffalo Bills.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, though, are we just assuming that Brandon Jones is not coming back?
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's his last year of his contract, but I thought he was a damn good football player and I was really excited about him and Huff playing together.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: But if they want to shore up that position, like Chad said, they don't have a young, stud waiting in the wings.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have a jade bearer in that safety.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: So if they want to go that route, I'd be, I'd be for it.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I mean, I've not heard any buzz whatsoever that Brandon Jones is legit.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: on the chopping block or as a guy that could be a cap casual team.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think with PJ Locke, his future is act being so up in the air, right?
- 47:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like he's unrestricted.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: He could still resine and stay in Denver, but he's at a point too where, you know, he came off of that.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we'll take that.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: I see Chase saying I believe Eric said Jones is coming along slowly from that injury.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's not worried about that.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't play the rest of the season.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: There was even a chance that Dobbins could return sooner than Brandon Jones.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know this severity of the injury.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: We just have to hope he comes back as the same player that he was before because I thought he was one of the most underrated defensive backs in the NFL.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: No one knew him pretty much in Miami, when he got to Denver, he started making plays and he really turned into a solid signing by George Payton.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so I'm going to just I'll take it home tonight.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'll call this the two-minute warning.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_01]: We're having Bucu technical difficulties tonight.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: What are you going to do?
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said before, it's happened to me.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's happened to everyone.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's the age of streaming in 2026.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: So do you have any last second comments, questions, concerns, consideration, superchats, fire in the men?
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: Allah, I'll round us out as we approach.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: Going on 50 minutes now, let me just see what we got here.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, would be nice man with Jones.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so basically to wrap up, I thought about Jones.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: If if he's any any concern about the injury lingering, if it's God forbid a career threatening injury that Brandon Jones had or if the Broncos just want to hedge their bets for the future, this could be a situation like with the JFM, a guy going into the last year of his deal.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's a starter.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: What do you end up doing end up drafting his eventual replacement?
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm assuming that Savi on Jones is going to replace JFM, but that could be the case if they go safety.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_01]: I know Mel Kiper had the Broncos taking a safety in around one.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: If they do do that, it's surprising.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of us would not like it, but you can understand it from a forward thinking standpoint.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: He would probably end up starting in the future, along with Huff for Brandon Jones.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_01]: And this is as Chuck Hartman saying here, a manual McNeil war, it would be a nice statement that you're after if we are worried about Jones.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_01]: That was the safety that Mel Kiper projected the Broncos to draft at number 30 overall in his latest mock draft.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_01]: He had them taking EMW.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: That'd be pretty fun to say if he did end up a Broncos, just rolls off the tongue in terms of a abbreviation EMW.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you for that chuck and like I said, I think that's going to do it for me or us tonight.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: Chad is just going to hang out in the background.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_01]: He'll be back on with me Wednesday.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then Thursday and then Sunday, but yeah, we're going to call a night for tonight.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you all.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, is that?
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: Coming back, no, I got excited for a second.

- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go through my little spiel here and then I'll make sure I didn't miss anyone.

- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: Matthew, George, Taylor, Kirsten, Matthew, multiples, Chuck.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I didn't get this from Paul me read this really quickly.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: I remember Jake this snake making an idiotic left-handed interception in a playoff game in Shanahan, moved on at color, which was the worst move of his 10 year.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, those things live in infamy.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: I remember in 2017, Brock Oswiler throwing a fumble then in 2025, you had Jared Siddham committing a two-hand fumble, never saw that before my life.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: So it happens in football or we just have to be happy and confident
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: And comforted by the fact that bonus is under center, not Jake the snake, not anybody else or color, bow freaking nicks, but that's going to do it for me and for Chad for everyone around here.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you all for tuning in with us tonight.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: We'll we're back on Wednesday, Chad and I tomorrow afternoon.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: I am on a new mountain to a clock Eastern kelpman's corner.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: Hot takes that whole water.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: I will see some of you there.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully most of you there.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully all of you there.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: But have a great rest of your night.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: Regardless, take care and as always.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_00]: Go Broncos.
