- 6:48[SPEAKER_11]: I read something online.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_11]: I hate to make, I hate to, you know, poke fun at my good friend, the pharmacist, but
- 6:57[SPEAKER_11]: It reads here on newsjunker, there's a post that Kenny drugs us going to close from one to one, thirty every day for lunch.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, lunch.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_11]: What if you need a prescription?
- 7:08[SPEAKER_11]: I actually can't count one.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_11]: What if you need to ask, oh, no.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_11]: Now, and then I get people I was reading on a newsjunker that people posting comes, everyone needs a lunch break.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_11]: Well done, Kenny's.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_11]: This is how you show your licensed pharmacist you care about their mental and physical health kudos to the leadership for making this decision.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_11]: This is what a woke society does.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_11]: Let me explain it to you.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_11]: Fire mini launch.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_11]: Policeman eat lunch lots of people eat lunch, but we know they don't all eat lunch at the same time so we don't have any police protection or fire protection or all the whole emergency room they're gonna eat lunch from wonder one thirty every day having a heart attack sorry wait a one thirty what is this woke society yeah how about the banks on close the banks from wonder one thirty
- 8:09[SPEAKER_11]: No, because you have multiple tellers.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_11]: You can have a lunch break and then somebody else does.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_11]: That's how it works.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_11]: I was heard these people say, well, you know, we got to close those restaurants three days a week because people need to time with their families.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_11]: No, that's how life works.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_11]: You can have that time with your family.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_11]: You don't work.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_11]: Nobody works every day.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_11]: It's not me.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_11]: So when I see this thing about
- 8:36[SPEAKER_11]: We're just taking off one to one thirty for lunch.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_11]: What is that?
- 8:38[SPEAKER_11]: Are they all going down to the fairgrounds?
- 8:40[SPEAKER_11]: What do they know?
- 8:40[SPEAKER_11]: They're not open today.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_11]: Can't go there.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know what's going on.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_11]: It's lunacy.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_11]: And I like kidneys.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_11]: I go to kidneys and get all my prescriptions there.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_11]: But now if I want to get it right after the show, I got to go hang out somewhere.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_11]: I'm not saying people shouldn't have a lunch break.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_11]: You're entitled to one.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_11]: But that's what management is.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_11]: Management schedules people in compliance with the needs of the company and appropriate laws and good practice.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_11]: That's what management is.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_11]: Primarily.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_11]: Okay.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, no.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I'll have lunch at the same time.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_11]: How nice.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_11]: We're having a mental health half hour or two.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_11]: There's something else for your work world.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_11]: I've pointed this out before.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I'm filling out a payroll report today for disability after do.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_11]: You know, I was wondering with disability and comp.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_11]: It's the same thing agency that sells it to you, the state insurance fund.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_11]: Why do they have to have one, you have to report May fifteen to May fifteen, then the other one just July one to July one.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_11]: So you got to do two of you.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_11]: Why?
- 9:57[SPEAKER_11]: What purpose is served by that?
- 9:59[SPEAKER_11]: The answer is none.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_11]: And then the disability one they want.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_11]: There's one part, and then for the paid and family leave part, you have to report half years was a disability report the whole year.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_11]: It's a pain in the butt.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_11]: You know, when you don't have an HR staff or a DEI person, but here's the killer.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_11]: As they always did, ever since I got in business, they want to know the number of male employees and female employees, because they charge you more for females.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_11]: But in recent years, there's a third category, non-binary.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_11]: And I say, how the heck can I as an employer determine someone's non-binary and categorize them as such?
- 10:39[SPEAKER_11]: You could get in trouble for doing that.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_11]: Maybe.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_11]: Maybe the big guys got me categorized as non-binary and disability.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_11]: I don't even know what difference it would make.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_11]: Don't even know.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_11]: Well, what is non-binary?
- 10:57[SPEAKER_11]: Is it what is it?
- 10:59[SPEAKER_11]: You know, you've done payroll for years for your company, or somebody like Shannon, or somebody, and she says, what's nine binary?
- 11:08[SPEAKER_11]: And well, it's an, an umbrella term for genders that don't fit neatly into the traditional binary of male and female.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_11]: It encompasses a wide range of identities, including those who feel they have a mix of masculine and feminine traits, no gender at all or gender that fluctuates over time.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_11]: Many non-binary people use the pronouns that they them, but some use he, him, she, her or other pronouns.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_11]: Society's gone mad.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_11]: Now.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_11]: I imagine up at the school district and employers like that.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_11]: Are you non-binary?
- 11:47[SPEAKER_11]: Or how do you identify you a, he, her, they, them?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_11]: That's like schmiggle world.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_11]: That's how it works up in those places.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_11]: But in the rest of this, you're the male or female.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_11]: It's not up to me to determine anything else.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_11]: Not checking off nine non-binary for anybody, even if they say they are.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_11]: I don't want to get in trouble.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_11]: It's like when you get these forms in the government, they want to know your race.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_11]: And they want to know if you Caucasian or Hispanic.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_11]: What's the difference?
- 12:17[SPEAKER_11]: They're both white.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_11]: And then you've got, well, it's brown.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_11]: No, I mean, people have all different levels of brownness, but, and then there's black and then there's Asian and there's whatever.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_11]: And then there's the guy running for mayor of New York who's both Asian and African-American.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_11]: Did you know that?
- 12:36[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it's kind of like Kamala Harris.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_11]: She did that too.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_11]: She assumed whatever, checkmark fit where she was running for at the moment, where she ran for Senate.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_11]: She was, she was, um, Indian.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_11]: You know, South Asian.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_11]: And then what she ran for president, she was suddenly black.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_11]: But this guy down in New York City, Mom Dami.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_11]: He's both, he's both black.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_11]: He says it represents his diverse cultural heritage.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_11]: Just just elect that guy.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_11]: Just show how stupid you are and elect him.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, my God.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_11]: Well,
- 13:13[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know too many people in the city if I was living there, I'd be voting for Eric Adams.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_11]: Who else is on the ballot?
- 13:20[SPEAKER_11]: There's the Guardian Angel guy, Curtis Sleeva, he's not going to win.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_11]: There's Andrew Cuomo on his independent candidate.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_11]: They already rejected him and people don't like him.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_11]: They don't like him.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_11]: And then there's some other guy who was a former U.S.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_11]: attorney and nobody knows his name.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_11]: I saw it this morning.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_11]: So, Mamda, me will probably win.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_11]: Because he's not just black, he's black and Asian.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_11]: It's a multi-cultural diversity that most people don't enjoy.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_11]: Mm-hmm.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_11]: Well, before we get to the residency thing, speaking of residency, I guess we've got somebody living out in the woods behind my place.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_11]: You know, those woods behind what used to be the old black closin and
- 14:09[SPEAKER_11]: going over to what used to be molten street and over to East Maine.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_11]: Right where Grant Street comes out into East Maine.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_11]: I've had a couple of instances lately where somebody came into the barn.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_11]: They said, you know, we saw a smoke coming out of the woods out there.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_11]: I went out and looked a couple weeks ago and see any, but this time this time a patron was able to walk up around the corner.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, there was smoke.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_11]: There was a fire and there was a person tending to the fire.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_11]: And uh... was right there if it came down grand street just kept going straight in the guardrail was right over that embankment.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_11]: And one of the neighbors said oh yeah I've smelled that smoke last few days so it's a homeless person living in the woods.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_11]: So I called nine one one.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_11]: And I saw a fire truck driving around later I don't know what they do.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_11]: I mean.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_11]: It's not that the whole area is going to catch fire it's just.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_11]: It's creepy having some.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_11]: Somebody in the woods.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_11]: You know, not far from where you sleep or something.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, normally, no one will ever go in those woods.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_11]: They're so thick.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_11]: But I guess that's one thing.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, we don't need a residency requirement for homeless people because they just live here anyway.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_11]: Exactly.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_11]: Well, what else did I do this weekend?
- 15:33[SPEAKER_11]: You know, I had a guy come in.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_11]: Apparently loves fastos, but you know, fastos from Australia, and those twenty five ounce cans, the big cans, oil cans, and we've called him.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_11]: He wanted me couldn't find him in a convenience store.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_11]: He bought sixteen of them bought me up.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_11]: Everyone I had.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_11]: So that was kind of interesting.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_11]: So I ordered a few more from Dodo's this morning.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_11]: Well, let's see what else is going on.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_11]: Kiss a cow up in the Lewis County fair.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_11]: I read that at that time.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_11]: It's this morning.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_11]: No, if that was that news.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it used to be local news.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_11]: They don't report that stuff anymore.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_11]: I'm glad it was in there.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_11]: Kiss a cow.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_11]: But is that one of the things where all the politicians grew up in Kiss a cow?
- 16:22[SPEAKER_11]: They were all lining up to get in the Duncan booth last week downtown.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_11]: pair of pairs there would she kiss a cow?
- 16:31[SPEAKER_11]: Well, we did it for charity.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_11]: That'd be an interesting question.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know about the rest of the council.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_11]: I think Ben shown what he, you know, he's done that before, but I don't know about the other council members.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_11]: Is that clean, is it?
- 16:52[SPEAKER_11]: You know how they always say, a dog's mouth is a cleanest thing around and it just got done
- 16:58[SPEAKER_11]: looking at some yeah I never believe that I don't believe a cow is that clean either um next time I talked to Russell ask him but I think there's something weird about kissing I look at I mean you want to donate something to charity do it don't do it don't donate because the mayor kissed a cow I mean to me if I saw the mayor kissing a cow I'd be a little upset yeah
- 17:27[SPEAKER_11]: And what's she doing?
- 17:28[SPEAKER_11]: That's kind of weird.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_11]: But they'll do it because they want attention.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_11]: So, yeah.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_11]: Oh God, I thought kiss a cow was from night up in Carthage or something.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_11]: There.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_11]: That'll get me going Joe Brasco be calling me.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_11]: How dare you say that?
- 17:51[SPEAKER_11]: How dare you?
- 17:53[SPEAKER_11]: Let's see.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it's all the residency law.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_11]: How are they going to discuss that tonight?
- 18:03[SPEAKER_10]: Mm-hmm.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_11]: Going to be a public hearing and they're going to vote on it.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_11]: The public hearing is what they call perfunctory.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_11]: It's just there for appearance, sake.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_11]: Not going to affect the votes.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_11]: As I've said, it isn't that I'm looking to force somebody to move into water down.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_11]: It's not meant to be punitive.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_11]: You should want to live here.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_11]: If you do those jobs, you should want to live there.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_11]: Here.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_11]: I know of us as well.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_11]: They got, they got the rights and so you want to, you want to be part of the allowville community.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_11]: So what?
- 18:40[SPEAKER_11]: And count some and only says, well, well, you're done.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_11]: I like the guy.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_11]: We can't find anybody else in I mean, you know, we got a tree.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_11]: What they're doing is passing a local law that takes three individuals.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_11]: by current title and grant some exemptions from residency, the DPW, the city engineer and the city manager.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_11]: Now what they failed to do, even if they passed this thing, they still have a contract with the city manager that requires that.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_11]: But they've decided, you know, laterally not to enforce it, I don't know why you would sign a contract with the city council because they don't enforce things.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, that's why you sign a contract so that you can control a situation, right?
- 19:22[SPEAKER_11]: So I don't know what's going to happen tonight.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I do know what's going to happen.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_11]: Dr. Kim bubble.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, yes, of course.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_11]: And his new buddy, Cliff Holden, he will join him.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_11]: And then we come to the other two.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_11]: Now, if we're zero votes, yes, which I think she will, then the mayor and shown can vote no, and it doesn't mean anything so they get a freebie.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_11]: Now, if Ms.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_11]: Rosario throws a wrench into it all by voting no,
- 19:51[SPEAKER_11]: Then either the mayor or shown has to vote yes to pass it.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_11]: And I suspect that would fall to the mayor.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_11]: So one way or the other it'll pass.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_11]: But.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it's a news chunky poll, eighty one percent.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_11]: It's not an eighty twenty issue.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_11]: It's an eighty one nineteen issue.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_11]: And again, it's not punitive.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_11]: It's not meant, you know, we're going to make you live here.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_11]: Just like those homeless people.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_11]: No, it's meant to say, I want people who want to live in a city if they want those jobs.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_11]: And these jobs are not, you know, we sit there and we worry about whether a councilman or a mayor lives in the city or what they do.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_11]: We pay them twelve thousand or sixteen thousand a year or something.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_11]: Ooh, that's a lot.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_11]: And, you know, these other people, I mean, what's the city managerate, you know, when you account in all the benefits, but just the salaries, one, sixty-five, I think, and then the police chief was like, one, forty-five, and fire chiefs, one, thirty-five, and, you know, these things are right up there, and, you know, if you're gonna make that kind of money, watch it.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_11]: Now, live in town, for at least in the county.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_11]: Then they'll hire somebody from on a dog account in their past and other local law say, well, not you, you have to live in the county or up to two counties away or something like that or three counties or whatever that is.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_11]: I can't we find it.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_11]: There's no lawyer in this area who wants to afford a thousand dollars or you're job like, yeah.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_11]: It's amazing.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_11]: It's amazing.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_11]: Uh, seven, five, five, twelve, forty of the phone number.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_11]: Well, if you're gonna speak at the public earring tonight, give us a call and speak your piece here.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_11]: Good afternoon, Ronnier.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_11]: Hello?
- 21:47[SPEAKER_11]: Well, what did we do here?
- 21:50[SPEAKER_11]: Did we do something wrong?
- 21:58[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, that's what I did.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_11]: Somebody pushed the button.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_11]: Well, can you call that?
- 22:02[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, maybe.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_11]: Hello, you there?
- 22:05[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, go ahead now.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_11]: Thank you.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_11]: Sorry about that.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_15]: That's all right.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_15]: Mayor, the city manager has to live in the city.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_15]: It's in the charter.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_15]: A morning time, I believe.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_11]: It's also in the contract that he and the city council signed.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_15]: So what's the problem?
- 22:19[SPEAKER_11]: They don't want he doesn't want him.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_15]: That's his problem of finding somebody else.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_15]: You want to give up that job?
- 22:24[SPEAKER_15]: Go ahead.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_15]: Plenty of people don't take the job.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_15]: Look at him.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_11]: Maybe we should.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_15]: Shouldn't you see the numbers on the fire department?
- 22:31[SPEAKER_11]: No.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_15]: Nobody lives in the city.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_15]: What if there's a emergency in a wintertime?
- 22:37[SPEAKER_15]: They're going to travel through a snowstorm that gets into a workplace?
- 22:42[SPEAKER_13]: No.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_15]: You know, fifty-nine permanent out of, uh, was a seventy-two live outside the city.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_10]: Wow.
- 22:52[UNKNOWN]: Sixty-two out of seventy live outside the city.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_10]: Wow.
- 22:57[UNKNOWN]: Looks outside the city.
- 22:58[UNKNOWN]: One police chief.
- 22:59[UNKNOWN]: Looks outside the city.
- 23:01[UNKNOWN]: We got a city manager sending a budget with a eighteen percent tax hike and he doesn't live here.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_15]: You think maybe some things would change if he had to help raise so many taxes in the water.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_11]: I just got my tax bill in the mail over the weekend.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_15]: I didn't open mine yet.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_15]: I don't want to see it right now.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_15]: It's your life for it.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_15]: Happy holiday here's your tax bill.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_11]: You know.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, but it's been that way all the time.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_15]: It's in the charter.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_11]: Doesn't matter.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_11]: They live by the road.
- 23:26[UNKNOWN]: It's just keep it on the books.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_11]: As long as they look at it.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_11]: As long as they got people of that, they got people like only on the board and say, well, we can't find anybody else.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_11]: Well, they should want to live here.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_15]: I don't buy that.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_15]: Do you?
- 23:43[SPEAKER_11]: Why don't we buy a house for the city, have an official residence?
- 23:46[SPEAKER_11]: You know, since we deified the office or whatever, I mean.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I think you were a little low on the salary there, Mayor.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_15]: I think he makes more than a hundred sixty years here.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_11]: Probably, yeah.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, a lot of person, a lot of these contracts.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_11]: but the forum and living outside you know they'll set their give themselves three four five thousand dollar raises every year but i'll bet you if if somebody said oh let's raise mayor pierce up to twenty thousand there'd be screaming on this talk show and on the internet and everything else and i've stupid meme page it be all over and the school board they voted mr. shemiko ten thousand dollar race and a vehicle he got he's got a hundred and ninety thousand dollars a year as a school superintendent
- 24:30[SPEAKER_15]: Because you need to pay race to live in more town.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_15]: I don't even know if he lives in more town.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_15]: You can't get him to come on this show.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I don't know where he lives.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_15]: No way he'd come on this show.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_11]: You know.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_15]: You know.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_15]: He sells and dollars every buddy voted for it on the school board.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_11]: Yep.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_15]: Mine boggling, a couple of other things may or on the zoo.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_15]: They got the door lock to the bathrooms from the outside.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_15]: They want you to go through the office to get to the bathroom.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_15]: Why?
- 24:59[SPEAKER_15]: Why is the door locked?
- 25:01[SPEAKER_15]: When the pool is open, what's the problem?
- 25:04[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_15]: They want you to go through the office to get to the management.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_15]: This is, and you can't use the old bathroom because they got the jar wide open, not boxed in.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_15]: Like a normal toilet would be.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_15]: I tried to get in the other day to kid told me to get out.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_15]: He was doing his business.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_15]: I said, my God.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_15]: Why is it that?
- 25:24[SPEAKER_15]: Why is that white open?
- 25:26[SPEAKER_11]: You got me.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_11]: Is that the old?
- 25:28[SPEAKER_15]: About that for years, with nothing's happened there.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_11]: Is it the old bathhouse?
- 25:32[SPEAKER_15]: Yes, if you want to go number all.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I don't want to get into it, but you don't want to me, Mayor.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_15]: You're on the boat, but if somebody comes in on you, it's white open to stop boxing.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_11]: I didn't even know you could go in there anymore.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_15]: Pardon me?
- 25:47[SPEAKER_11]: I didn't know you could go in there anymore.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, you could get in there.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_15]: You can't get into the new bathroom from the outside.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_15]: They got the darn door lock for some reason.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_11]: See?
- 25:56[SPEAKER_15]: They want you to go through the office.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_11]: They want you to pay to go to the bathroom.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know what it's about.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_15]: I was hot that one day.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_15]: I had to go to the bathroom.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_15]: You know?
- 26:05[SPEAKER_15]: Well, when the once pops could have got arrested, you know, certain things a man could do to a woman can't do in public.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_11]: That's what I hear.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_15]: That's one of them.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_15]: You know, if you have, do you know what I mean, Mayor?
- 26:17[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, yeah.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_15]: You know, what that burned me up.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_11]: Mm-hmm.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_15]: a new bad to beautiful bad for the world taking care of.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_15]: But there's a daughter for a reason why it's locked.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_15]: I have no idea.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, no one has a big beautiful bill got through mayor.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_11]: Mm-hmm.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_15]: Great news for everybody.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, it sure is.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_15]: People sitting on your couch, uh, you're going to have a little problem people.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_10]: Mm-hmm.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_15]: You're going to have to work a little bit to earn money.
- 26:44[UNKNOWN]: We've been sending you people for years by doing this nothing wrong physically.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_11]: That's for sure.
- 26:52[UNKNOWN]: You know, with a lot of fraud in Medicaid, that's what we're looking at.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_15]: We're not looking at people in a nursing home.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_15]: All right.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_11]: I got you.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_15]: It's all over the place on these programs.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_11]: Where's the local news talking about what the impact is on the tourism industry and all that's no tip stuff?
- 27:11[SPEAKER_11]: They don't cover local news anymore.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_15]: They mentioned it all.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_11]: The Walmart, the power was out all day.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_11]: It affects a lot of people.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_11]: That is so woke.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_15]: I don't think that's true to you.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_11]: It's on news, Chunky.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_15]: That's all sunrise.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_15]: I can't comment.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_15]: I have a lot of nice people down there.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, here's another comment.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_11]: Somebody wrote in it.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_11]: It gives the pharmacist that Kenny's a well-deserved break without an interruption.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_11]: You know, those people make as much as the city manager.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_15]: I never heard of that.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_15]: I worked in grocery industry.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_15]: We never shut down for lunch.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, that's a it's called management to get it wasn't a big deal most people.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_15]: It's a. That's true or not.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_15]: I don't buy that.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_11]: I just know what I read on the internet.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, this does a song right to me, Mayor.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_11]: Okay, but it was on news drunk.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_11]: He's so.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_11]: Okay, Mayor.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_11]: All right.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_11]: Thanks a lot.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_11]: That's good afternoon around the air.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_18]: Hey, Mayor, how are you doing today?
- 28:14[SPEAKER_11]: What's up?
- 28:15[SPEAKER_18]: Well, you're a cover and a lot, but hey, I can tell you right now that the wall greens on
- 28:20[SPEAKER_18]: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry,
- 28:48[SPEAKER_11]: Now if the if the pharmacist takes a lunch break at, you know, long as they're watching.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_18]: I'll tell you another little story.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_18]: When Walmart first came to New York state there was a lot that if you had the assumed value of a pharmacy in the store or you stated pharmacy that pharmacy had to be open the whole time the store was open.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_18]: But when Walmart came to town and not just in town but came to the state they just said like, nah, we don't do that.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_18]: We're not going to do that.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_18]: And when the state tried to step in,
- 29:17[SPEAKER_18]: And while talk to them about it, they had those people removed from the property under violation and said, we only deal on a federal level.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_18]: We don't deal with state level.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_18]: If you're here again, not shopping, you're trespassing, and they enforce it.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_18]: Until eventually, they had to pay fines and things were changed around to where you don't have to have a pharmacist there.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_18]: The whole time you're open, does not have to be on holidays if you're open on holidays.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_18]: Does not have to be overnight if you're supermarket that's open overnight.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_18]: So it's shifted to value, but in the meantime,
- 29:45[SPEAKER_18]: Walmart was able to not have all those firms the hours going until the competition.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_18]: That being said, it's kind of drifted down and how we just can't get help.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_18]: And even though a firm system is a professional well-paid position, it's a position that takes a whole lot of college and it doesn't pay in comparison.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_10]: Right.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_18]: You used to when minimum wage was different, so things would change.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_18]: That being said, same thing with the city, the city, departments, the fire department, they don't pay into person to what
- 30:14[SPEAKER_18]: they used to be in the competition and as soon as you let say now I did this last call was right say seventy percent of the part of the door to live in the city you're never going to end of that again because without even having a union thing to say like no majority of spoken and we need to really step back and decide that water town isn't just the city it's the hope of the water greater water town area that's all that it is in the issue we peddling the best we can backwards
- 30:41[SPEAKER_18]: try to get these communities that are around the city that are doing better that are sought out to live in to be a part of the greater water town area we are doing that well they well they don't want it for obvious reasons they want to get the milk without buying the cow well our population over is the next council to be below twenty thousand for the first time well that may be but that may be but you you want to have a situation
- 31:11[SPEAKER_11]: because these people who were talking about made a conscious choice to apply for the job A and that they didn't want to live in a city B. Now, you can say you can't make a move or my wife doesn't want to move or I got a nice house or whatever, but you made a conscious decision to seek out that particular position and you signed a contract with that effect.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_11]: Now, maybe contracts don't mean anything.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know about your business.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_18]: I saw, I saw a new jump this morning and I watched a little bit of the countless, less comfortable meeting words.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_18]: The X, fighter chief, spoke up.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_18]: And he had to move back into the city.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_18]: And he thought it was a good idea.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_18]: And he thought, all the fighters should live in the city because, like your last call or said, weapons and emergency.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_18]: But the problem is, we don't have enough people to fill the positions anymore.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_18]: COVID changed everything.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_18]: People just don't want to work.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_18]: And this leaping of the minimum wage to work
- 32:05[SPEAKER_18]: You know, some states are still seven dollars.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_18]: Now we're in the arc of fifteen.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_18]: It's hard to pay someone double minimum wage as it is.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_18]: And we have to pay a fireman something like that more than that.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_18]: And then if you don't, how can you dictate what you want them to do?
- 32:19[SPEAKER_18]: I just don't understand it.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_18]: You can indicate when you're not paying it that well, you do realize right now the city can't get enough employees.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_18]: They just can't do it.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_18]: We're just, we are competitive enough to pay enough.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_18]: So we just are going to get it.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_18]: We should be happy with all the six basically volunteer counsel and mayor that we have and that we get and we still get in that situation because there's going to be a amount of time when someone just doesn't want to do that anymore and we get bad people.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_18]: Looks like we've got a pretty good crew coming now, but we've had bad people in the past and we've had people in the first.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_18]: Right, right.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_18]: Trying to limit where we're going to live is almost a thing of the past.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_18]: If you let someone get away with it once, one person does it trickle down to the other because you can't play favors one over another.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_11]: We do that all the time we do it all the time.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_11]: Hey, listen, I got a run, okay.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_11]: All right.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_11]: Thank you.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_13]: Bye now.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_11]: Good afternoon, Ron here.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_13]: Good afternoon, Mayor.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_13]: I just wanted to call the let that one caller know what you said about Kenny says true.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_13]: I went through the drive through this morning and they got a sign on the window saying to go because from one to one thirty.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_13]: So I was just calling just to confirm that for you.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_11]: want to close the whole store so you can't get netty daddy from one to one thirty two I didn't realize I thought it was just a pharmacy but I don't like to pick out my friends over there but holy cow and it's just like who would think that's a good idea and usually what you know internal for instance if you
- 33:56[SPEAKER_11]: If you weren't filling prescriptions between one and one thirty.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_11]: You'd still keep the counter-opening service that people came in to pick up something.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_11]: Whether somebody's making anything at that time isn't really the issue.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_11]: And why anyone in upper management would think that's a good idea, but they get caught up in this wokeness of, well, you know, would just be a good guy.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_11]: All of that.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_11]: No, the manager.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_11]: The manager, customer, customers matter.

- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: Here he talks about how hypnosis works to help people lose weight or stops smoking.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_17]: We all have an image of ourselves and that image.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_17]: If we have an image of a non-smoker, we attract non-smoker behaviors and beliefs.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_17]: So we have an image of a smoker, we attract the habits of a smoker.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_17]: If we have an image of a person who is overweight, we live up to those expectations.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_17]: So one of the things we focus on with our programs is this, is we work on, at the subconscious level, the image or snapshot of yourself.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_17]: If you have a healthy image, you attract healthy habits.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_17]: We work on under hypnosis taking the pleasure association out for smokers that they have towards smoking, putting back in what they already know consciously that it's a filthy disgusting habit that they never wish they start in the first place that's killing them dead.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_17]: And we get them out of these sessions, feeling good about themselves and it's what they want to do these things instead of feel like they have to do
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: Don't miss Mark Patrick Seminar's Saturday July twelfth at the Ramada By Wind and Waterdown.
