- 0:09Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on? Everybody? Welcome into another edition of
- 0:12Speaker 1: the check Odaly. It's Andrew dcheco here, Eagles beat reporter
- 0:15Speaker 1: Friendsidethebirds dot Com. Today is Wednesday, and everything, as I mentioned,
- 0:21Speaker 1: is a little bit different this week because the Eagles
- 0:23Speaker 1: play on Monday night. And you're gonna hear some of
- 0:27Speaker 1: the takeaways that I have from Vic Fangio, Eagle special
- 0:30Speaker 1: teams coordinator Michael Clay, and then of course Kevin Patullo.
- 0:34Speaker 1: And we'll start with Vic Fangio because he was asked
- 0:39Speaker 1: to start the press conference about Marcus Epps. Now, I
- 0:41Speaker 1: mentioned on yesterday's podcast that Marcus Epps had his twenty
- 0:44Speaker 1: one day practice window opened on Tuesday, and the question
- 0:48Speaker 1: pertained It was a three part question, but it was
- 0:52Speaker 1: about do you believe Marcus will be ready for Monday?
- 0:55Speaker 1: Is he in contention to start? Vic Fangio said yes
- 0:59Speaker 1: to the first two, and then he expanded on what
- 1:02Speaker 1: he likes about Marcus, saying he's an experienced safety, He's
- 1:05Speaker 1: got good instincts, got a good feel for the game.
- 1:08Speaker 1: We'll have to get a feel and a barometer about
- 1:10Speaker 1: where he is at. Missing the last four or five weeks, whatever,
- 1:13Speaker 1: it was where he couldn't practice anyway. And then he
- 1:18Speaker 1: was asked about Sidney Brown's first start. He said, it
- 1:20Speaker 1: was like the rest. It was a lot like the
- 1:22Speaker 1: rest of us, some good, some bad. So this potential
- 1:27Speaker 1: edition of Marcus Epps. He got injured after the Giants game,
- 1:32Speaker 1: so he was on injured reserve after the Eagles Week
- 1:34Speaker 1: eight game, and it's important to note that he was
- 1:37Speaker 1: ahead of Sidney Brown. He entered the game before Sidney
- 1:40Speaker 1: Brown and had sort of overtaken that role as the
- 1:44Speaker 1: third safety. Then he was injured. He finished, He was
- 1:46Speaker 1: on IR for four games, and it sounds like he's
- 1:51Speaker 1: going to have a real shot to start Monday Night
- 1:54Speaker 1: against the Chargers, and that will provide a little bit
- 1:57Speaker 1: of stability there if that's the case. Remember, Marcus Epps
- 2:01Speaker 1: started seventeen games in the regular season and all postseason
- 2:05Speaker 1: contests for the twenty twenty two Eagles that made it
- 2:08Speaker 1: to Arizona for Super Bowl fifty seven. So while circumstances
- 2:13Speaker 1: aren't ideal, not having Drew mccouba and the Eagles options
- 2:17Speaker 1: were very limited prior to that, Sidney Brown I thought
- 2:20Speaker 1: had an uneven game, if I'm putting it nicely. I
- 2:24Speaker 1: thought that there were opportunities where he could have made
- 2:26Speaker 1: some plays, and you saw some of the blemishes to
- 2:29Speaker 1: his game that surfaced a little bit. And we'll see
- 2:32Speaker 1: if Marcus Epps can provide something more. We'll also have
- 2:35Speaker 1: to learn more about practice and how this week goes
- 2:38Speaker 1: for him, but it certainly seems like if all systems
- 2:41Speaker 1: are go, that he will be the starter. So that
- 2:45Speaker 1: could be something that helps stabilize the back end in
- 2:49Speaker 1: the interim. But Vicanjie also spoke about the biggest issues
- 2:55Speaker 1: with the run defense, and he said biggest issues were
- 2:58Speaker 1: won they run the ball very well. Oh, I didn't
- 3:00Speaker 1: do a good enough job of preparing our squad for
- 3:02Speaker 1: the quality and the diversity of their run game. We
- 3:05Speaker 1: didn't play the run in the blocks the way we
- 3:07Speaker 1: had been playing. But as I've mentioned at different points
- 3:11Speaker 1: over the past a little less than a week or so,
- 3:14Speaker 1: I thought that that was probably the poorest performance from
- 3:17Speaker 1: Jay when Carter that I've seen all season, so much
- 3:19Speaker 1: so that it was evident that he was dealing with
- 3:22Speaker 1: something because he wasn't his dominant self, He wasn't creating penetration,
- 3:26Speaker 1: he wasn't dominating guards as he typically does, and so
- 3:30Speaker 1: he was asked, you know that, yeah, and I should
- 3:33Speaker 1: also remind everybody that after the game he was a
- 3:36Speaker 1: little bit cryptic and he said, you know, no one
- 3:39Speaker 1: I'm paraphrasing, but no one knows what I'm dealing with.
- 3:42Speaker 1: He didn't want to elaborate on it. He didn't use
- 3:44Speaker 1: it as a crutch or an excuse, but it left
- 3:48Speaker 1: you know, the you know, it created a little bit
- 3:50Speaker 1: of you know, speculation, and it left the door open.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And so vic Fangie was asked about whether there was
- 3:59Speaker 1: some sort of injury that was plaguing him. Is it
- 4:01Speaker 1: a factor based off of the play that we saw,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and Vic Fangios said he does have a shoulder issue.
- 4:07Speaker 1: He has been playing with it. Late in the game.
- 4:09Speaker 1: He had a great play with it. But it's definitely
- 4:12Speaker 1: but it's definitely something there.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Hey, one thing that always scares me is the latest
- 4:17Speaker 2: financial scam. And with the holidays, it's all about finding
- 4:20Speaker 2: the perfect gift, but this time of the year, not

- 5:29Speaker 1: Now. Jaywen Carter played sixty one of the Eagle's eighty
- 5:33Speaker 1: seven defensive snaps. It was evident that he wasn't himself.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I thought that there were times where he was getting
- 5:40Speaker 1: washed down and the run game where ordinarily he would
- 5:42Speaker 1: be able to kind of anchor and hold up at
- 5:45Speaker 1: the point of attack. It just didn't quite look like
- 5:48Speaker 1: Jaywen Carter was playing at one hundred percent. And then
- 5:50Speaker 1: you hear the comments after the game that he said,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and he didn't make an excuse, but it kind of
- 5:56Speaker 1: painted the picture or maybe illustrated that there was something
- 6:00Speaker 1: a little bit more going on there. And vik Fango
- 6:03Speaker 1: of course talked about the shoulder injury. Now, jay when
- 6:06Speaker 1: Carter has been dealing with a shoulder injury throughout the season,
- 6:09Speaker 1: or at least earlier in the season, and that's something
- 6:11Speaker 1: that I feel like he's had to play through and
- 6:14Speaker 1: play with and learn how to deal with throughout the
- 6:17Speaker 1: season and against run heavy teams like that, you have
- 6:20Speaker 1: to wonder how that shoulder impacts your ability to disengage
- 6:24Speaker 1: and sort of play that physical style, those heavy, violent
- 6:29Speaker 1: hands that he exhibits each and every week, and how
- 6:32Speaker 1: that impacts it. I think that there's obviously something to that.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Vic Fangu has said, we'll see how it goes. When asked,
- 6:40Speaker 1: will the shoulder injury impact his quantity of snaps and
- 6:44Speaker 1: Jay when Carter usually plays the Lion's share of snaps.
- 6:47Speaker 1: He's played seventy two of the Eagles defense seventy two
- 6:50Speaker 1: percent of the Egles defensive snaps this season, and I
- 6:54Speaker 1: think that that will be something to keep an eye on. Now.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Their defensive tackles played a lot in that game, obviously,
- 7:01Speaker 1: when the Eagles play eighty seven defensive snaps, but for perspective,
- 7:05Speaker 1: Moro Jomo sixty two snaps, Jaywen Carter sixty one, Jordan
- 7:09Speaker 1: Davis fifty nine, and Byron Young played thirty eight. So
- 7:14Speaker 1: he was also asked if this means that maybe Ty Robinson,
- 7:17Speaker 1: the Eagles rookie defensive tackle from Nebraska Mike factor in
- 7:21Speaker 1: the rotation, and Vic Fangio said possible. So we'll have
- 7:27Speaker 1: to wait and see how the week goes. The Eagles
- 7:28Speaker 1: are on the practice field on Thursday, and that kicks
- 7:32Speaker 1: off this week. Again, everything the schedule is a little
- 7:35Speaker 1: bit pushed back or pushed up because of the Monday
- 7:38Speaker 1: night game. And then finally, if you remember, Jahad Campbell
- 7:42Speaker 1: did not play any defensive snaps this week, and it
- 7:45Speaker 1: was curious because against the Lions he played twenty against
- 7:49Speaker 1: the Cowboys he played eleven and against the Bears who
- 7:56Speaker 1: played zero. And so this was asked to him, is
- 8:01Speaker 1: there something to that or and he goes, no, probably
- 8:04Speaker 1: should have gotten him in there for a few That'd
- 8:06Speaker 1: be my fault there. But obviously, with the run game
- 8:09Speaker 1: the way it was happening, that's been a strength of
- 8:13Speaker 1: n Kobe's and we wanted to leave him in there. Okay,
- 8:16Speaker 1: so very consistent messaging with what Vic Vanjo has said
- 8:20Speaker 1: for a while now. When asked about the decreased snaps
- 8:24Speaker 1: for Jahad Campbell, but to not see the rookie linebacker
- 8:27Speaker 1: Plague any defensive snaps, I thought was really curious. And
- 8:31Speaker 1: you have to think that there is a way to
- 8:33Speaker 1: incorporate him into the defensive plan because I think what
- 8:36Speaker 1: you had Campbell brings in terms of athleticism and coverability
- 8:40Speaker 1: compliments ideally with what Nikobe Dean can do in terms
- 8:44Speaker 1: of run defense and blitzing.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Hey, it's Jeff Mosher And if you have a family

- 9:58Speaker 2: dot com. Slash Birds Simple slash Birds. There's no saint
- 10:02Speaker 2: like simply.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Safe and Nakobe Dean, I mean, his football intelligence is
- 10:07Speaker 1: a valued commodity and I don't want to sure change that,
- 10:10Speaker 1: but I would think that there has to be a
- 10:12Speaker 1: world where you can sprinkle in a little bit of
- 10:14Speaker 1: Jahad Campbell because he does offer something different and he
- 10:17Speaker 1: was playing well before. You know, he started eight games,
- 10:20Speaker 1: and he was playing well before Nikobe Dean took over. Now,
- 10:23Speaker 1: na Kobe Dean's playing better, and up until that Bears game,
- 10:26Speaker 1: he'd been playing lights out. No one played well on
- 10:29Speaker 1: defense in that Chicago Bears game, to be clear, And
- 10:32Speaker 1: it's hard to take Niakobe Dean off the field when
- 10:34Speaker 1: he's playing well. But I have to think that when
- 10:37Speaker 1: you have someone who has a unique skill set, the
- 10:39Speaker 1: length and the coverability and the sideline the sideline prowess
- 10:43Speaker 1: that Jahad Campbell does, especially when you're going up against
- 10:45Speaker 1: a team like the Chargers who can throw the football
- 10:49Speaker 1: around a little bit, they can spread you out, I
- 10:52Speaker 1: would think that that would lend itself to Jahid Campbell
- 10:55Speaker 1: playing a little bit more. Now, I'm not suggesting that
- 10:57Speaker 1: he divides it fifty to fifty like that, because Nikobe
- 11:01Speaker 1: Dean brings a lot of toughness and swagger there, and
- 11:05Speaker 1: I think he's sort of re established that chemistry playing
- 11:09Speaker 1: opposite Zach Bond. But there has to be a way
- 11:11Speaker 1: where you can get Jahad in there to capitalize on
- 11:14Speaker 1: some of the things that he does well, and that
- 11:17Speaker 1: could be something that takes shape and as you know,
- 11:20Speaker 1: as a situational type of circumstance here, maybe you could
- 11:25Speaker 1: work them in situationally, and I do believe that he will.
- 11:29Speaker 1: If you look at Fangio's comment, it supports what I'm saying,
- 11:32Speaker 1: and that's kind of the way that I'm reading that
- 11:34Speaker 1: right now, and I'm curious to see what the snapshare
- 11:37Speaker 1: ends up looking like coming out of that Monday night
- 11:40Speaker 1: game against the Chargers. So that was Vic Fangio. We'll
- 11:44Speaker 1: get to let's do Kevin Patullo.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Hey, Philly fans. Game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 11:52Speaker 2: long lines, We've all been there. But when it comes
- 11:55Speaker 2: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is

- 12:37Speaker 2: service members, and healthcare pros. Cam din Apothecary top quality cannabis,
- 12:43Speaker 2: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans twenty
- 12:46Speaker 2: one and up.
- 12:47Speaker 1: All right, I'm not gonna spend a lot of time
- 12:49Speaker 1: on this two point conversion conversation because it was so
- 12:52Speaker 1: long ago, but it's important to hear from the offensive
- 12:55Speaker 1: coordinator his vantage point on that, and he said, when
- 12:57Speaker 1: you have two point conversions, they have two ways of
- 13:01Speaker 1: doing it. They could say, hey, we're going to go
- 13:03Speaker 1: all out pressure, We're going to do max zones. When
- 13:06Speaker 1: you design those kind of plays, you want to make
- 13:08Speaker 1: sure you're in the best of both worlds. Unfortunately, we
- 13:11Speaker 1: had a little bit of miscommunication on that place and
- 13:13Speaker 1: so that's what we've got to continue to work through.
- 13:16Speaker 1: We had a few too many of those, and we
- 13:18Speaker 1: know it's part of all of us. That's coaches, that's players,
- 13:21Speaker 1: that's everybody. We've got to make sure we're on the
- 13:23Speaker 1: same page so those things don't happen anymore. Talking about
- 13:27Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts and the miscommunication with DeVante Smith on that
- 13:30Speaker 1: third and eight play that likely would have been a
- 13:32Speaker 1: touchdown if Davante's hitting stride. If you listen, if you
- 13:36Speaker 1: watched Hard Knocks, you saw Jalen Hurts take full accountability
- 13:39Speaker 1: on that play and you could see the frustration, no
- 13:42Speaker 1: finger pointing there, and that's sort of been something that
- 13:46Speaker 1: I've observed during my whole time covering Jalen Hurts. He's
- 13:49Speaker 1: an accountable player, and I think that that scene in
- 13:53Speaker 1: Hard Knocks really encapsulated that. But Kevin Patulo shed some
- 13:56Speaker 1: light on the play and he said, sometimes on those
- 13:59Speaker 1: kinds of plays, it's a matter of just making sure
- 14:01Speaker 1: they're seeing the same thing. We try to do the
- 14:03Speaker 1: best we can as coaches and players, putting everybody in
- 14:05Speaker 1: those moments, whether it's in the classroom and walk through
- 14:08Speaker 1: on the practice field, because it is important. You can't
- 14:12Speaker 1: simulate everything in the heat of the battle because ultimately
- 14:14Speaker 1: everybody on the field, they're human. You're processing at a
- 14:17Speaker 1: fast rate. The clock's going and you're seeing it. You're
- 14:19Speaker 1: trying to make hand gestures and try to get everybody
- 14:22Speaker 1: on the same page. When things like that happen, you've
- 14:25Speaker 1: got to go back to where was the breakdown? Did
- 14:28Speaker 1: we cover it? Has it been talked about enough? Ultimately,
- 14:31Speaker 1: it was just a mistake, and that's what's hard. It's
- 14:34Speaker 1: hard to have those. It's hard when those happen because
- 14:37Speaker 1: the guys, whether it's coaches, players, we all take them
- 14:39Speaker 1: to heart. It's disappointing because we know we missed one,
- 14:42Speaker 1: but we've also got to learn from it. We've had
- 14:45Speaker 1: a few too many of those and we know that.
- 14:46Speaker 1: But as we go we've got to continue to push
- 14:49Speaker 1: through that so those things don't So those don't happen
- 14:52Speaker 1: and we can be on the same page. And if
- 14:54Speaker 1: it does, why did it happen? There could be a
- 14:56Speaker 1: human error and then we've got to move on. Bulow
- 15:00Speaker 1: also spoke about the incident that happened at his house
- 15:03Speaker 1: where it was egged early Saturday morning, and he said
- 15:09Speaker 1: at this point, we're ready to focus on winning the game.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Unfortunately it happened. I've been here for five years now
- 15:14Speaker 1: and it's been awesome. I mean, this is such a
- 15:17Speaker 1: unique place to play, to coach and play, it's very special.
- 15:20Speaker 1: We've been a two NFC Championship games where we've won
- 15:23Speaker 1: at Lincoln Financial Field, a super Bowl, the parade is
- 15:26Speaker 1: just it's an amazing atmosphere to be a coach and
- 15:29Speaker 1: a player. And as coaches and players, we all know
- 15:31Speaker 1: that part of our job is to handle criticism. It's
- 15:34Speaker 1: perfectly acceptable to sit up here and talk about what's
- 15:36Speaker 1: going on, how to fix it, what we're going to
- 15:38Speaker 1: do moving forward, and we know that. But when it
- 15:40Speaker 1: comes to your family, obviously it crosses a line. That happened,
- 15:44Speaker 1: and at this point we've just got to move on.
- 15:46Speaker 1: We're trying to win. That's all we want to do
- 15:48Speaker 1: is focus. Whether it's my family, whether it's the team.
- 15:51Speaker 1: All we're trying to do together is focus on this week.
- 15:53Speaker 1: We've got a long week, which has been good to
- 15:55Speaker 1: have an extra day of preparation and go out to
- 15:58Speaker 1: LA and beat the Chargers.

- 17:32Speaker 1: not surprising, but I think that, well, one, it's just
- 17:37Speaker 1: an ugly thing that happened, an inexcusable and an absolute disgrace.
- 17:43Speaker 1: But I thought that as he's done off season, Kevin
- 17:46Speaker 1: Petullo has proven that he's going to kind of rise
- 17:49Speaker 1: above it and take everything in stride, and he chose
- 17:54Speaker 1: to look at the positive in this, and so that
- 17:57Speaker 1: was his answer there. That was something that I'm sure
- 17:59Speaker 1: a lot of you were wondering how he was going
- 18:01Speaker 1: to respond to that, and I think that that was
- 18:06Speaker 1: something that I wanted to make sure that I got
- 18:08Speaker 1: to you guys. So he also was asked another question
- 18:13Speaker 1: about learning to deal with the criticism when that comes
- 18:17Speaker 1: with that job, and he said, when you first start coaching,
- 18:20Speaker 1: you know, it's always there. As you start to develop
- 18:22Speaker 1: your career and you move up, and you move up,
- 18:24Speaker 1: and you move up. You've got to learn from people.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Nick Sirianni does a great job with all of us
- 18:30Speaker 1: as coaches, just preparing us for these kinds of moments,
- 18:33Speaker 1: the different mentors you have. You know, the pressure's there,
- 18:36Speaker 1: but we all accept it because we ultimately want to
- 18:38Speaker 1: be at the highest part of our coaching career and
- 18:40Speaker 1: continue to work through that. This is part of it.
- 18:43Speaker 1: It's a challenge, but it makes it fun. When you
- 18:45Speaker 1: look back on it, you hope that you have more
- 18:47Speaker 1: good than bad memories. And when you go through the
- 18:49Speaker 1: process like this, it defined you as a person in
- 18:52Speaker 1: your career, but not as an individual, not as your family.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I think when you look at the big picture, it's
- 18:58Speaker 1: just a piece of who we all are as coaches,
- 19:02Speaker 1: who I am, who my family is. And ultimately it's fine.
- 19:04Speaker 1: It's a great career that we're in. We get to
- 19:06Speaker 1: do something that very few people get to do. I mean,
- 19:08Speaker 1: we're one of thirty two I am Nick, as we
- 19:11Speaker 1: all are in the world. When you look at it
- 19:13Speaker 1: that way, we're very fortunate and it's exciting. There's nothing
- 19:17Speaker 1: better than winning a game in our stadium. There's nothing
- 19:19Speaker 1: better than going on the road and winning a game
- 19:21Speaker 1: in front of all these Eagles fans. It's very unique
- 19:23Speaker 1: and it's fun. Lastly, you may have heard about Nick Foles.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I believe he mentioned or suggested that there would be
- 19:36Speaker 1: a benefit of Kevin Patullo moving up to the booth
- 19:39Speaker 1: to call plays, and whether or not he saw any
- 19:41Speaker 1: validity validity in that. He said, I think the communication
- 19:45Speaker 1: with the players is important. I've been on since i've
- 19:48Speaker 1: been here in twenty one, I've been on the field
- 19:49Speaker 1: every time. I think there's a lot of communication with players,
- 19:52Speaker 1: coaches on the field, making sure adjustments are done correctly.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I have conversation with Jalen with the old line, with
- 19:59Speaker 1: the receivers that are important. I've been on the field
- 20:01Speaker 1: for a long long time. I don't think I've been
- 20:03Speaker 1: in the box since maybe twenty eleven as a coach,
- 20:06Speaker 1: so it's been a while. I think just the relationship
- 20:09Speaker 1: I had with the guys and the communication has been good,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and we've just got to continue to improve in other
- 20:14Speaker 1: areas and we'll be all right. So another good answer
- 20:17Speaker 1: there that I wanted to make sure that I passed
- 20:18Speaker 1: along to you all because it's important, and I know
- 20:21Speaker 1: that that question that video from Foles was circulating a
- 20:25Speaker 1: little bit. Michael Clay, We're not going to get to
- 20:29Speaker 1: a whole lot here, but he was asked about the
- 20:34Speaker 1: tough kicking day with the weather and the miskicks from
- 20:38Speaker 1: Jake Elliot. He says, with the extra point, obviously, we
- 20:40Speaker 1: just can't. We want to make sure when we have
- 20:42Speaker 1: those close range field goals extra points, that we do
- 20:45Speaker 1: our job to get points on the board and don't
- 20:47Speaker 1: put ourselves in the scenario that we did have to
- 20:50Speaker 1: do at the end of the game. I thought he
- 20:53Speaker 1: struck that fifty two yard or pretty well. It was
- 20:55Speaker 1: just the tougher end of the stadium going into the wind.
- 20:57Speaker 1: It was going straight then obviously the wind coming down
- 21:00Speaker 1: out of the west was bouncing back off the stands
- 21:03Speaker 1: and it took it at the end right there. But
- 21:06Speaker 1: obviously I'm not too upset with the fifty two yarder.
- 21:09Speaker 1: He really did strike it pretty well. We just can't
- 21:11Speaker 1: put ourselves in those predictaments with the shorter field goals,
- 21:16Speaker 1: just going through our technique and are just our fundamentals
- 21:19Speaker 1: of getting it through right there. When asked about whether
- 21:27Speaker 1: the plan is to go back to Xavier Gibson when
- 21:29Speaker 1: he's healthy, or is Britain Covey going to be the
- 21:31Speaker 1: Eagles pump returner moving forward? He said, yeah, everything is
- 21:34Speaker 1: so fluid. You just never know how the roster is
- 21:37Speaker 1: going to be dictated week in and week out. Obviously,
- 21:39Speaker 1: you get injuries, you get people bagged up, scheme things
- 21:41Speaker 1: of that nature. We just take it day by day
- 21:44Speaker 1: and get everybody ready to get their numbers called. Obviously
- 21:47Speaker 1: there's been guys that have been called up for the
- 21:48Speaker 1: day of the game. So it's just one of those
- 21:51Speaker 1: things where we do here in the specialists room to
- 21:54Speaker 1: make sure everybody's ready to go. And finally he talked
- 21:57Speaker 1: about Britain Covey and how he looked in his return action.
- 22:00Speaker 1: It was his first game actually since December one of
- 22:03Speaker 1: twenty twenty four, when the Eagles played the Baltimore Ravens,
- 22:07Speaker 1: and Michael Clay said, yeah, obviously a familiar face with Covey.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I thought he did a good job. Difficult with conditions
- 22:12Speaker 1: out there, with being windy, only had really one opportunity
- 22:16Speaker 1: to return, and I thought he did a nice job.
- 22:17Speaker 1: It's one of those punts that we call. It was
- 22:19Speaker 1: so bad. It was good in terms of it came
- 22:23Speaker 1: off Torrytailer's foot kind of sideways and it was short.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Then it just kept rolling and we didn't know. If
- 22:30Speaker 1: he didn't pick that up, who knows where that ball
- 22:32Speaker 1: would have rolled to, could have been to the fifteen
- 22:35Speaker 1: things of that nature. He did a good job of
- 22:38Speaker 1: kind of corralling and getting square. Then he made two
- 22:41Speaker 1: miss and got nine yards out of it, and kind
- 22:44Speaker 1: of vintage Covey making something and enoughing to get us
- 22:47Speaker 1: right to get us that first out in terms of
- 22:50Speaker 1: the return. So I thought he did a good job
- 22:52Speaker 1: of battling against the conditions, the kickers, the punters right there.
- 22:55Speaker 1: It was good to have familiar face back there, and
- 22:58Speaker 1: familiar face there and Covey back. That's my synopsis. Synopsis
- 23:02Speaker 1: from the three coordinators I spoke today. That's going to
- 23:05Speaker 1: do it for this edition of the Checko Deli am
- 23:06Speaker 1: Andre to Checko, and I'll catch you on the next one.
