- 0:00Speaker 1: With Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn say Hester and Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: got it five little pot from carrying each other to
- 0:07Speaker 1: a natty to carrying each other on the air.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Were there's prop control for the.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Caine studio.
- 0:17Speaker 3: It's off the bench, all right, welcome back our number
- 0:54Speaker 3: three off the bench.
- 0:58Speaker 2: You're just joining us. You missed the missed quite the
- 1:02Speaker 2: show so Farlandre cannot control herself right now. She's laughing
- 1:07Speaker 2: hysterically because your cheeks hurt.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yet.
- 1:14Speaker 4: All right, I'm gonna get it together. It's started spelling
- 1:20Speaker 4: it out.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Paul Tuxi, phil using Philip is awesome. I think.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Pau TUXI feel like that is some of your best work.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Thank you, Thank you.
- 1:35Speaker 4: That and the finger point my favorite.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I mean, Posatani is not a normal word.
- 1:41Speaker 4: To say you nailed it?
- 1:44Speaker 2: Nailed it? Do we even know what that? That's a
- 1:49Speaker 2: I don't even want to speculate, but I'm pretty sure
- 1:51Speaker 2: it's Is it not a city?
- 1:56Speaker 4: I think it is?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, it would be a good name for a
- 2:02Speaker 2: cross dresser.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Drag me.
- 2:10Speaker 5: Oh lordy, I don't know if you're supposed to say
- 2:15Speaker 5: that anymore.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Canceled rupol still got the show.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Drag.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yes, okay, that one's okay. Yeah, I can say that.
- 2:26Speaker 4: It's a dragon.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Sorry, I mean.
- 2:30Speaker 4: You're out of touched.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Whatever makes you happy?
- 2:35Speaker 4: Yeah? Do you.
- 2:39Speaker 2: You have been following the Pro Bowl news?
- 2:43Speaker 1: I mean.
- 2:46Speaker 2: There's nothing I could have said there. Oh, I'm gonna
- 2:49Speaker 2: make you laugh for sure. Did y'all see that Joe
- 2:52Speaker 2: Burrow got added too?
- 2:54Speaker 4: No, but I saw that Shador did.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Okay, so Shador got added. So I just kind of
- 3:01Speaker 2: wanted to like highlight this because while of course we're
- 3:04Speaker 2: all happy for any success, so Joe Burrow has being
- 3:07Speaker 2: a Tiger, it does kind of highlight the craziness that
- 3:12Speaker 2: is the NFL Pro Bowl and how it just doesn't
- 3:14Speaker 2: need to be anymore. It doesn't like Pro Bowl doesn't
- 3:18Speaker 2: hold the weight that it used to. There used to
- 3:21Speaker 2: be like all these incentive based escalators in a contract,
- 3:23Speaker 2: you make a Pro Bowl here and there, you you know,
- 3:26Speaker 2: you get you know whatever, you get a bonus. Well,
- 3:30Speaker 2: it didn't hold that weight anymore. Joe Burrow gets added,
- 3:32Speaker 2: which is fantastic, But Joe Burrow hurt himself in the
- 3:36Speaker 2: second game of the season and missed nine games. Then
- 3:41Speaker 2: he comes back and he you know, plays well. But
- 3:43Speaker 2: to say that Joe Burrow was a Pro Bowler this
- 3:46Speaker 2: year is pretty wild. And Shaudor Sanders a Pro Bowler,
- 3:49Speaker 2: and so the AFC Joe Burrow, Shadeur Sanders, and Joe Flacco.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Guess what that means. That means the Bengals and the
- 3:55Speaker 2: Browns each have two quarterbacks in the Pro Bowl this
- 3:58Speaker 2: year for its aim to have two Pro Bowl quarterbacks.
- 4:03Speaker 2: It's pretty wild. Of course, Joe Flacco started for the
- 4:06Speaker 2: Browns and he started for the Bengals, and he is
- 4:09Speaker 2: in the Pro Bowl. So I saw this and it
- 4:13Speaker 2: just kind of made me laugh that the Browns and
- 4:15Speaker 2: the Bengals have two quarterbacks each and they share, of
- 4:17Speaker 2: course Joe Flacco. But like, it's a crazy that we
- 4:21Speaker 2: live in a world where a quarterback can miss nine
- 4:24Speaker 2: games due to injury and still come back and make
- 4:27Speaker 2: a Pro Bowl. Now it is. Of course, they weren't
- 4:29Speaker 2: like the first picks, any of them, Josh Allen Drake
- 4:31Speaker 2: may justin Herbert or the original selections. But it makes
- 4:37Speaker 2: you think, like, were these selections even like the fourth, fifth,
- 4:41Speaker 2: and sixth, No.
- 4:43Speaker 6: They had to be way down. They know Trevor Lawrence
- 4:45Speaker 6: turned it down for sure, treffor Lawrence. Okay, Drake couldn't
- 4:48Speaker 6: make it. Josh Allen and Bonex both had surgery on
- 4:52Speaker 6: their foot.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Okay, So that's five Mahomes out of acl. I mean,
- 4:59Speaker 2: Mahomes makes it over. Chaudere Sanders got to and you're
- 5:02Speaker 2: sitting had a down year. But what was it? Ten touchdowns,
- 5:04Speaker 2: fourteen interceptions I think.
- 5:06Speaker 6: From Shador uh seven and ten seven touchdowns ten for reference,
- 5:10Speaker 6: Joe Burrow who missed nine games, seventeen touchdowns, five interceptions.
- 5:14Speaker 2: It's actually a good season.
- 5:16Speaker 6: And now Chador eighteen point nine QB ar not terrible.
- 5:25Speaker 6: It's the worst in Brown's history. Yeah, no, it's not good.
- 5:28Speaker 6: It's the worst in Brown's history. Is the worst in
- 5:30Speaker 6: Cleveland Brown's history. That might be's biggest accomplishment this year
- 5:35Speaker 6: if you think about how hard that is to do.
- 5:40Speaker 2: There's no way it is eighteen point nine QB. Yep,
- 5:45Speaker 2: it's pro bowler guys, Sador Sanders, Joe Flacco, Joe Burrow.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Your twenty twenty five AFC Pro Bowl roster. Now, the
- 5:59Speaker 2: NFC is a lot better at the quarterback position. It
- 6:03Speaker 2: is Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, Jared Goff Now are those
- 6:08Speaker 2: were those the best three? No, Jared Goff was in
- 6:10Speaker 2: the top of all the passing categories. He was at
- 6:14Speaker 2: least in the top ten, the top five, and most
- 6:17Speaker 2: of them at one point had like a seventy three
- 6:19Speaker 2: or seventy four percent completion percentage, like more than halfway
- 6:23Speaker 2: through the season. So what he did was incredible. Dak
- 6:25Speaker 2: had his probably best year as a professional football player.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Would you agree with that, Taylor? I know you've watched
- 6:31Speaker 2: a lot of Dak and you hate Dak. Yeah, statistically, yeah,
- 6:36Speaker 2: he had us best year probably. Now he had his
- 6:38Speaker 2: best help, certainly with George Pickens and Ceedee Lamb both
- 6:41Speaker 2: on the Pro Bowl as well, and Jalen Hurts. Jalen Hurts,
- 6:47Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know. He definitely wouldn't have been
- 6:51Speaker 2: He probably wasn't in the top five in the NFC.
- 6:56Speaker 2: And if he was definitely five. Do you know of
- 7:00Speaker 2: anybody else that turned it down in the NFC?
- 7:03Speaker 1: No?
- 7:04Speaker 2: No, really, Stafford, Stafford and Darnold certainly, right, No.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Because it's just like the AFC, the injuries alone, right,
- 7:11Speaker 6: guys that literally cannot go out there, because like even Lamar,
- 7:16Speaker 6: even Lamar wasn't healthy.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Most of the season. Someone's in chat said that the
- 7:29Speaker 2: Pro bowls like NFL version of rotten tomatoes. It is
- 7:34Speaker 2: who's passionate in the chat right now? Oh Golf South
- 7:37Speaker 2: about rotten tomatoes?
- 7:38Speaker 6: Uh huh. Never seen him like this, he's fired up
- 7:41Speaker 6: about it in arms. No, people are talking about trying
- 7:44Speaker 6: to save the Pro Bowl and everything. Why don't we
- 7:46Speaker 6: just go back to playing it after the Super Bowl?
- 7:49Speaker 6: That's what it always was, and then about what ten
- 7:52Speaker 6: years ago, they moved it before the Super Bowl, So
- 7:55Speaker 6: any of the players in the Super Bowl didn't participate
- 7:58Speaker 6: in anything like that play after it used to be
- 8:01Speaker 6: after every year it was in Hawaii. It's full contact.
- 8:04Speaker 6: Like I enjoyed that, right.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I just I'd like to live in a world where
- 8:10Speaker 2: if you're saying I'm pro bowler so and so, that
- 8:16Speaker 2: that means something. Right, So if you're saying, like Joe Flacco,
- 8:20Speaker 2: he probably didn't think that he was the top three
- 8:23Speaker 2: quarterback in the AFC. Neither would Shador Neither with Joe.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Now it's a good thing, but like they always have
- 8:27Speaker 2: pro bowler by their name now forever. You can't take
- 8:30Speaker 2: that away, which is a cool thing for them, but
- 8:32Speaker 2: it doesn't mean anything anymore. They just need to get
- 8:36Speaker 2: rid of the games, get rid of Pro Bowl. And
- 8:38Speaker 2: I get it. The games are are fun. I'd rather
- 8:43Speaker 2: watch the games, I guess, than the actual like the
- 8:46Speaker 2: like the passing games, like the fun games and the
- 8:48Speaker 2: actual Pro Bowl game where they didn't tackle anybody and
- 8:50Speaker 2: they just kind of held each other up. That was
- 8:51Speaker 2: a waste of time. And I guess it has to
- 8:54Speaker 2: make money in some form of passion, but I can't
- 8:56Speaker 2: imagine that it makes a lot of money. I can't imagine.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I don't know of anybody that sits down there and
- 9:02Speaker 2: just like consumes the Pro Bowl.
- 9:06Speaker 6: Would even even last year, wasn't it like an indoor facility?
- 9:10Speaker 6: Like I didn't watch it, but I saw a highlight
- 9:12Speaker 6: of like Justin Jefferson one handed catch or something. It
- 9:16Speaker 6: looked like it was in an indoor facility. Like there
- 9:18Speaker 6: wasn't any in person fans, Right you do it?
- 9:22Speaker 2: At this point, yeah, I would almost rather see they
- 9:25Speaker 2: just like the NFL Award show. It just make the
- 9:28Speaker 2: announcement there. These are the top three. This is Pro
- 9:32Speaker 2: Bowl Team one, Team two, Team three, kind of like
- 9:35Speaker 2: an All American list. This is like a this is
- 9:37Speaker 2: the All Pro list and you get a first team,
- 9:39Speaker 2: second team, third team, and they make that announcement during
- 9:41Speaker 2: like the award show and they have everybody there. I
- 9:44Speaker 2: think almost that would bring a little bit more more
- 9:47Speaker 2: energy to that award show. But that award show was it?
- 9:50Speaker 2: What is it?
- 9:51Speaker 1: This?
- 9:51Speaker 2: It's Wednesday, this week, you know honors? I mean, just
- 9:57Speaker 2: do that, like the Pro Bowl is is so? But anyway,
- 10:00Speaker 2: I guess congratulations to Joe Burrow though mixed Pro Bowl.
- 10:04Speaker 2: He was out nine games with injury, but when he
- 10:07Speaker 2: was in there, he's good. I mean, seventeen to five
- 10:10Speaker 2: is it's pretty good? What seventeen to five is? It's
- 10:14Speaker 2: very good? No, it's it's extremely good. But again, just
- 10:18Speaker 2: to say how the Pro Bowl doesn't anything like you
- 10:20Speaker 2: should probably play more than half the games in a
- 10:22Speaker 2: season to be able to make it. Anyway, Oh I
- 10:29Speaker 2: did see, Speaking of like All Star stuff, Lebron James
- 10:33Speaker 2: made the All Star Game twenty two out of twenty
- 10:36Speaker 2: three seasons, I believe, or twenty one out of twenty
- 10:38Speaker 2: two seasons. Get selected. Again, it's pretty good. Anybody following that. Yeah,
- 10:42Speaker 2: it's a reserve. He as a reserve. Yeah, he's not
- 10:47Speaker 2: a starter.
- 10:47Speaker 6: So that that streak into he was a starter for like,
- 10:51Speaker 6: I don't know, I mean probably around that time as well,
- 10:57Speaker 6: Brownie James did not make the Pro Bowl, I mean
- 11:00Speaker 6: Star Game. I don't believe that probably should have. You
- 11:10Speaker 6: guys are funny in the chat.
- 11:11Speaker 2: By the way, Hey, if you're listening to us right
- 11:14Speaker 2: now and you just you're at the office and you're
- 11:15Speaker 2: just listening, come watch us. Come joy, come and gauge
- 11:18Speaker 2: in this chat. We're gonna we are going to a
- 11:23Speaker 2: little bit later on in the show. Towards the end,
- 11:25Speaker 2: we'll have our Ask the Bench segment. We'll take questions.
- 11:28Speaker 2: We're gonna make sure that we stay on time, and
- 11:31Speaker 2: we make sure that that's a full segment, so we
- 11:33Speaker 2: get a full segment Ask the Bench at the end
- 11:34Speaker 2: of this hour. We're gonna go to break. Now, when
- 11:37Speaker 2: we come back, we will do a little weekend Winners
- 11:41Speaker 2: and loses right here, Off the bench, Off the bench.
- 11:48Speaker 2: All right, the weather that had been great, it's been
- 11:52Speaker 2: cold got you down. You've been having to sit at
- 11:54Speaker 2: the house a little bit. Well, maybe it's time to
- 11:58Speaker 2: pop open a nice bottle of do Sekis or can
- 12:01Speaker 2: whatever you prefer. Make sure you go for dose. There's
- 12:07Speaker 2: always a great time to have a beer. There's all
- 12:09Speaker 2: sorts of delicious beers. There's a Friday beer, there's an
- 12:12Speaker 2: airport beer, there's a weekend beer. You name it. There's
- 12:17Speaker 2: always a great time. But if you're gonna do it,
- 12:19Speaker 2: and we're living South Louisiana, look, we all like to
- 12:21Speaker 2: have a little beer every now and then, we all
- 12:23Speaker 2: like to have a little dope beverage. Make sure you
- 12:24Speaker 2: do it responsibly. When you do do it, make sure
- 12:26Speaker 2: you do it with the best beer around. The delicious
- 12:29Speaker 2: Gold Mexican Lager. They got the Amber especially out, they
- 12:32Speaker 2: got the Mischellattas, they got something for every single taste.
- 12:35Speaker 2: But so prep for the week, prep for the weekend.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Make sure you're stalking the fridge, icing down the cool
- 12:41Speaker 2: or whatever it is, with the best darn beer around.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Stay thirsty, my friends, go four.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Doops from the locker room to the airwaves. Gets off
- 12:54Speaker 1: the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 13:15Speaker 2: All right, welcome back here off the bench. Oh I
- 13:18Speaker 2: number three, No Jake this week. He is off in
- 13:22Speaker 2: San Francisco for the Super Bowl all week. I don't
- 13:27Speaker 2: know if we're going to try to get him on today,
- 13:30Speaker 2: but certainly throughout the week, he'll be hopping on in
- 13:33Speaker 2: this third hour kind of giving us an update from
- 13:37Speaker 2: for Media Road there. It's Media Row, notut Radio road there, right,
- 13:40Speaker 2: but Media Row a lot of happenings. That's kind of
- 13:42Speaker 2: like the place to be when you're there. So throughout
- 13:45Speaker 2: the week we'll be jumping on for a segment or
- 13:47Speaker 2: two just kind of give us an update all the
- 13:49Speaker 2: cool people we've seen, cool people he's talking to, and
- 13:52Speaker 2: what the latest is from California on the Super Bowl
- 13:57Speaker 2: Seahawks Patriots can't wait for this one. But first let's
- 14:02Speaker 2: let's do a little weekend winners and losers. That's how
- 14:07Speaker 2: win it has done.
- 14:08Speaker 7: That's right.
- 14:09Speaker 2: We can't have anyone to freak out out there. Okay,
- 14:12Speaker 2: he's got a k bark apologer, got too far. I'm
- 14:16Speaker 2: by winning. I went here and I win there. Now,
- 14:19Speaker 2: what are you doing what it takes to win a championship?
- 14:23Speaker 7: Wow?
- 14:24Speaker 2: Winning? Well, then I guess there's only one thing left
- 14:27Speaker 2: to do. What's that win the whole thing? All right?
- 14:38Speaker 2: My first weekend winner goes to Carlos Alcarez. Then's tennis, well, tennis,
- 14:46Speaker 2: We're going all the way around the wad across the
- 14:48Speaker 2: poem to Australia. Australia opened. Carlos Alcarez defeats Novak Djokovic
- 14:54Speaker 2: to win the Australian Open, and he completes the career
- 14:58Speaker 2: Glenn Grand Slam that grand son Da May and with
- 15:02Speaker 2: that becomes the youngest man to complete the career Grand
- 15:05Speaker 2: Slam with a four set win over at Novak Djokovic,
- 15:08Speaker 2: denying Novak thirty eight year old, denying him is twenty
- 15:13Speaker 2: fifth major. So, Carlos Alcarez a week in winter, you
- 15:16Speaker 2: just became the youngest person to win all the major
- 15:19Speaker 2: tennis tournaments with defeating one of the goats out there,
- 15:23Speaker 2: with Novak Djokovic. So, Carlos Alkarez, Actually he's dominating the
- 15:26Speaker 2: spot right now. I don't watch a lot of tennis.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I didn't watch this one because it was I happened
- 15:30Speaker 2: in the middle of the night I usually watched. I'll
- 15:32Speaker 2: get into it in Wimbledon. I like to I enjoy
- 15:35Speaker 2: watching Wimbledon, But every time I've seen him play, he
- 15:39Speaker 2: basically just beating the brakes off everybody. He's beating him
- 15:41Speaker 2: like LSU women's basketball just beat Bama.
- 15:44Speaker 6: So I actually did watch this, and you never watch tennis.
- 15:47Speaker 6: I was sitting on the couch. I was like, at
- 15:49Speaker 6: what time?
- 15:50Speaker 2: So I actually saw it Saturday during the day. Okay.
- 15:55Speaker 6: It was just like the little replay of it, and
- 15:57Speaker 6: I'm sitting there. I was like, man, you know, I'm
- 15:59Speaker 6: kind of tired. I'm a I'm just turning on some
- 16:00Speaker 6: background noise. I was so locked into this.
- 16:04Speaker 2: It was awesome, like it was electric, Like you're watching
- 16:07Speaker 2: You're like, yeah, these two guys are like way better
- 16:09Speaker 2: athletes than me. They're like the elite of the elite.
- 16:11Speaker 2: And Alcarez, yeah, I think Djokovic after the match, he
- 16:16Speaker 2: was quoted as saying, what you've been doing talking to Alcarez.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I think the best word to describe it is historic.
- 16:23Speaker 2: So when you get a compliment like that from Novak Djokovic,
- 16:27Speaker 2: I think that means you don't something right so we
- 16:30Speaker 2: can win or congrats.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Tell y'all Alia, I'm gonna actually keep it.
- 16:36Speaker 5: In Australia, We'll see there is USC three twenty five
- 16:40Speaker 5: this weekend. The prelims were actually really good and the
- 16:44Speaker 5: car like the fights before the co main and the
- 16:47Speaker 5: main event were also really good. So just overall week
- 16:51Speaker 5: in winner to USC three twenty five, but also to
- 16:54Speaker 5: Alexandra Volkanowski who retains the featherweight championship versus Diego Lopez
- 17:00Speaker 5: eighth overall championship for Alexander Volkanovski tying Aldo. So it's
- 17:08Speaker 5: a pretty good, pretty good run by Vulkan Diego Lopez,
- 17:12Speaker 5: just good fighter, just didn't do enough. Terrible game plan
- 17:14Speaker 5: going into the fight, but.
- 17:17Speaker 4: It's all good.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Yeah. A lot of Australian news coming here at off
- 17:23Speaker 2: the bench here. I mean, we are an international show.
- 17:26Speaker 2: We got a lot of listeners in Australia in path
- 17:29Speaker 2: wee can winner for me. We're going hockey to talk
- 17:38Speaker 2: about the goalie fight. I get it. The fight between
- 17:41Speaker 2: two goalies was electric. I saw it last night, but.
- 17:43Speaker 6: It started before the game even happened. Guys, the entrances
- 17:47Speaker 6: of both the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Light.
- 17:50Speaker 6: And say, here's the Bruins first, Matt, I know you
- 17:52Speaker 6: saw this. They came in dressed like the Patriots, dressed
- 17:55Speaker 6: like our founding fathers, like the entire team getting off
- 17:58Speaker 6: the bus here. I mean, look out, look at those guys.
- 18:01Speaker 6: That is just electric stuff getting off the bus dressed
- 18:06Speaker 6: like that.
- 18:06Speaker 2: All hockey macky single one of them with the with
- 18:10Speaker 2: the shoes with the big buckles on them as well,
- 18:14Speaker 2: except that they got they got the stockings, they got
- 18:16Speaker 2: the powdered wigs, they got everything.
- 18:18Speaker 6: Now that's cool. But not to be outdone was the
- 18:21Speaker 6: Tampa Bay Lightning. So they were doing the exact same
- 18:25Speaker 6: walk that the Bucks do. Because it was played in
- 18:27Speaker 6: Raymond James Stadium. You can see Tristan Wurfs and Baker
- 18:30Speaker 6: Mayfield here into in Tampa Bay Lightning gear. But behind
- 18:34Speaker 6: them is the entire hockey team dressed in the Tampa
- 18:37Speaker 6: Bay throwback cream ciccle, walking in just like the Buccaneers do.
- 18:41Speaker 6: I gotta tell you, the Lightning and the Bruins had
- 18:43Speaker 6: a lot of fun with this kind of getting off
- 18:45Speaker 6: the trolley car. There's that's the hockey team before the game.
- 18:49Speaker 6: It was incredible stuff. Like the entertainment started before the
- 18:52Speaker 6: game even happened. It was in the creamickle and like
- 18:55Speaker 6: that's custom jerseys for all the hockey players that it's
- 18:59Speaker 6: their names in the back of it, it's their actual numbers.
- 19:02Speaker 2: It was electric.
- 19:03Speaker 6: Get a little fan entrance for them when they walked
- 19:05Speaker 6: into the stadium.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Awesome. Okay, let me tell you something like hockey, like
- 19:09Speaker 2: we look at like that's a that's a man sport.
- 19:11Speaker 2: They are tough, they fight, they hit like. I think
- 19:16Speaker 2: we can all agree that they ain't nobody playing in
- 19:18Speaker 2: the NHL. They ain't a hard ass that ain't tough.
- 19:21Speaker 2: But that looks like an ancient athletes team right there.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Addressing those those uniforms, they don't look like a football team.
- 19:27Speaker 2: They don't look quite as big, and it's put together
- 19:30Speaker 2: as a football team does. Walking out there looked like
- 19:33Speaker 2: some pretty standard white males right there. But hell of
- 19:38Speaker 2: the job with the uniform.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I love that.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's fantastic. It was. It was Baker Mayfield
- 19:42Speaker 2: and who Tristan Wirfs, Christian Wurtz.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Right, you got another one.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I got another weekend winner. We've already talked about him.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Two two nust bus. Yeah, we'd never were anywhere. We're here.
- 19:56Speaker 2: It just wasn't driving quite as fast. I had to
- 19:59Speaker 2: put it in the shot, had some issues with it.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Get a little oil change, change a couple of tires. Yeah,
- 20:07Speaker 2: this bus is rolling right now. Garrett Neusmeyer with a
- 20:10Speaker 2: fantastic week of practice, a lot of great pub coming
- 20:14Speaker 2: from him in practice, a lot of good movement, a
- 20:15Speaker 2: lot of good velocity accuracy, making a lot of good
- 20:18Speaker 2: great back shoulder throws throughout the week. Well he wins
- 20:23Speaker 2: MVP of the Panini Senior Ball on Saturday. Let's go
- 20:27Speaker 2: nuts both. I mean, you only get to play so much.
- 20:29Speaker 2: The stats, I get it. The defense you can't really
- 20:31Speaker 2: let's a lie. You can't not thrown anything exotic, but
- 20:33Speaker 2: they're also not running anything exotic. And to add insult
- 20:36Speaker 2: to injury for LSU fans, did y'all see his touchdown
- 20:40Speaker 2: on the first drive of the game, hold it on
- 20:43Speaker 2: to a zone read a zone ring and he pulls
- 20:48Speaker 2: it something that LSU fans were screaming, let's just do this,
- 20:51Speaker 2: just do it once. He did it and he scored
- 20:54Speaker 2: a touchdown. Look pretty good doing it. Sick dance weekend winter.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Also on top of that is his dance dancing abilities.
- 21:01Speaker 2: But yeah, ness, Meyer, you've helped yourself in the draft,
- 21:03Speaker 2: young man, and we all wish you good luck. So
- 21:07Speaker 2: ulike what we said earlier that like if you tuck
- 21:10Speaker 2: and rolled out of the nust bus halfway through the season,
- 21:14Speaker 2: we didn't want you back on. But Yeah, it's fine.
- 21:15Speaker 2: We'll sell some tickets. You can get back on the
- 21:17Speaker 2: nuts bus LSU fans. Let's go back on back on.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Okay, I don't hate that.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I gues I send the back though. Shout out in US,
- 21:30Speaker 2: shout out to nuts, big, big, big weekend winner.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Yeah he had a great week.
- 21:34Speaker 2: He did fantastic week.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Yeah I have another one.
- 21:38Speaker 5: I got a few weekend winners to shout out. Obviously
- 21:41Speaker 5: the women's basketball team overall, because they're they're killing it
- 21:46Speaker 5: right now. But they there were some high school girls
- 21:49Speaker 5: from Saint Michael's, the high school basketball team, that went
- 21:53Speaker 5: out to an LSU women's basketball game and they stayed
- 21:56Speaker 5: after to meet some of the girls and the girls
- 21:58Speaker 5: took pictures with them and every thing, and they were like, oh,
- 22:01Speaker 5: we actually have a varsity game tonight and it's senior night,
- 22:04Speaker 5: and they were just kind of like, y'all should come,
- 22:06Speaker 5: like joking or whatever. Okay, these girls showed up. So Grace, Bella,
- 22:11Speaker 5: Zekiah and Divine they showed up to Saint Michael's varsity
- 22:15Speaker 5: women's or the girl's basketball game to go support these
- 22:18Speaker 5: high school ladies. And they even stayed for the men's
- 22:21Speaker 5: basketball game as well, and they took pictures with everybody,
- 22:24Speaker 5: like met all the fans that were.
- 22:26Speaker 4: At the high school. So shout out to them.
- 22:28Speaker 5: That's great, like fantastica community outreach. And these girls look
- 22:32Speaker 5: up to you and they that's very mature of them
- 22:35Speaker 5: to realize that they do. And it would have been
- 22:38Speaker 5: a big deal if they went to the game.
- 22:39Speaker 4: And they did. They didn't have to do it, and
- 22:40Speaker 4: they did, so shout out to them.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Very cool. A loser for someone that actually won their
- 22:49Speaker 2: boxing match so much.
- 22:54Speaker 6: Cherrell Miller beat Kingsley Eba this week in a boxing match.
- 22:59Speaker 6: But during the fight, in case anyone's wondering, Darrell Miller
- 23:02Speaker 6: is the one with hair here, Matt, it's important to
- 23:04Speaker 6: have a good two pay.
- 23:06Speaker 2: He gets his hair knocked off in the middle of
- 23:09Speaker 2: the fight.
- 23:09Speaker 6: You can see it right there coming up. He looks
- 23:11Speaker 6: like Rob Schneider on Grown Ups if you've ever seen
- 23:14Speaker 6: that movie. Eventually he just tears it off. After the
- 23:17Speaker 6: round's over, he just he rips the whole wig off.
- 23:20Speaker 6: But tough scene for our guy right there. Darrell I
- 23:24Speaker 6: mean again, wins the fight. No one cares.
- 23:26Speaker 2: This is the only video that's him. Later in the round,
- 23:28Speaker 2: heahelf awareness.
- 23:30Speaker 4: He was in the corner.
- 23:31Speaker 5: He was just like everybody was finding the two pay
- 23:34Speaker 5: in the crowd and taking pictures.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Right, that is hilarious, amazing, Like you're not too far
- 23:40Speaker 2: off from just being like a completely bald head like
- 23:42Speaker 2: the rest of it, right.
- 23:43Speaker 4: That points shaven.
- 23:45Speaker 6: Yeah, also, a two pay if you're gonna wear that
- 23:48Speaker 6: or hair plugs, whatever you wanna call it going into
- 23:51Speaker 6: a boxing match, you better make damn sure that things
- 23:54Speaker 6: glued to the top.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Of your head.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Yeah, that man got his two pay knocks again.
- 24:00Speaker 2: He won the fight. No one cares, that's no one's
- 24:04Speaker 2: talking about him.
- 24:06Speaker 4: You would have thought he lost it.
- 24:08Speaker 2: My guy, Like, I'm having some words with that glue company.
- 24:12Speaker 2: I don't know what kind of glue. Obviously he's very
- 24:16Speaker 2: very clean shaven where it's getting glued to the other
- 24:21Speaker 2: guy's bald just be bald man.
- 24:22Speaker 4: Just yeah, I let it go. You can't let it go.
- 24:25Speaker 4: You can't be boxing with a two pay on.
- 24:28Speaker 2: No, he needs to get some son once I was in.
- 24:33Speaker 2: That's good stuff, that's fantastic. Yeah, you gotta own it
- 24:38Speaker 2: at some point, you just got to own it. You
- 24:40Speaker 2: gotta age gracefully. People. Let it go age with dignity,
- 24:43Speaker 2: and then when when it starts starts going, we don't
- 24:47Speaker 2: have to put at a flat top as well. On
- 24:49Speaker 2: a flat top two pay, it's a flattop fade, which
- 24:53Speaker 2: not a not a great hairstyle to begin with, especially
- 24:57Speaker 2: when it's glued on and you're going to a combat
- 25:00Speaker 2: sport or someone's gonna punch you in the face, They're
- 25:03Speaker 2: gonna have to put some extra precautions or cautions on
- 25:05Speaker 2: the back of that glue bottle. I'd say something along
- 25:09Speaker 2: the lines of, you know, it can't stay if you
- 25:11Speaker 2: punched in the face multiple times.
- 25:13Speaker 4: He'd look meaner and batter with a bald head too.
- 25:16Speaker 6: Anyway, Yeah, you know what I mean, Like, I feel
- 25:19Speaker 6: like anything's an improvement from this right here.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Look at that and you don't look intimidated at all.
- 25:24Speaker 2: What do you think that guy was thinking? Like when
- 25:25Speaker 2: he punched in the two pey flew off, he was like,
- 25:28Speaker 2: already won this fight. Yeah, it doesn't really matter done.
- 25:33Speaker 2: That's like a five point deduction. Like we've seen the
- 25:36Speaker 2: box of matches and especially in movies where someone gets
- 25:39Speaker 2: the like the mouthpiece knocked out. Yeah, well this is
- 25:42Speaker 2: the first time I've seen the hair knocked off him.
- 25:46Speaker 2: My god, that's so good. I guess I got yeah
- 25:51Speaker 2: last week. Yeah, I'll do one more just since Jake's here.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Since Jake's not here, we can get away with like
- 25:57Speaker 2: talking about other things. So it's college football. Justin Rose,
- 26:02Speaker 2: the Englishman PGA Tour. He won an amazing fashion. The
- 26:08Speaker 2: Farmers Insurance Open was this week and he won by
- 26:12Speaker 2: I think he's forty five years old. Won a bout
- 26:14Speaker 2: seven strokes in the PGA Tour. The guy that continues
- 26:17Speaker 2: to be ageless to continues to be timeless, the former
- 26:20Speaker 2: major winner, been doing it a long long time. So
- 26:23Speaker 2: I just wanted to give a quick shout. It's all
- 26:25Speaker 2: the golf fans out there, helly out of golf, because
- 26:28Speaker 2: I will continue to talk about it at least once
- 26:30Speaker 2: a week. I make that promise to you, everybody. Unless
- 26:33Speaker 2: I forget, I make the promise to you, I'll talk
- 26:35Speaker 2: about it at least once a week. So Justin Rose
- 26:38Speaker 2: with a fantastic seven stroke victory the Farmers Insurance Open
- 26:43Speaker 2: at Tory Pines Golf Course. Shout out Justin Yeah, Jay Rose, Rosie,
- 26:48Speaker 2: he's been a thorn in our side at the Ryder
- 26:51Speaker 2: Cup for a long time, for two decades.
- 26:55Speaker 4: When you say our side.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Who America?
- 27:00Speaker 8: Ussa's from England.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Englishman sounds like he's from London. I don't know where
- 27:06Speaker 2: it's from. I mean somewhere over there. Anybody. We're good
- 27:11Speaker 2: and we're good. Not a lot of losers. I didn't
- 27:13Speaker 2: like scour the internet for a bunch of losers. Well,
- 27:16Speaker 2: your Jerill Jarrill is the loser, man. I guess getting
- 27:22Speaker 2: your hair knocked off, getting hit so hard, your hair
- 27:24Speaker 2: gets knocked off the top of your head, but you
- 27:27Speaker 2: still in the fight. Did he win by decision at
- 27:30Speaker 2: that point that you're not You got to knock out.
- 27:32Speaker 2: If you want to actually come away with a victory,
- 27:34Speaker 2: when you get your pay knocked off, you gotta voting
- 27:36Speaker 2: for him by decision. Like I don't care if you
- 27:38Speaker 2: got more shots in. My deciding factor is did your
- 27:42Speaker 2: hair fall off? If the answer is yes, you don't
- 27:44Speaker 2: get to win those yes. If you vote for him
- 27:46Speaker 2: to win by decision, that's as egregious as keeping Belichick
- 27:49Speaker 2: out of the Hall of Fame. I agree with you.
- 27:51Speaker 2: We will finish out. We got thirty minutes left. Go
- 27:54Speaker 2: ahead and start getting your asks the bench questions because
- 27:56Speaker 2: we are going on our next day, We're going to

- 30:04Speaker 2: fans get ready to say bonjour. Yeah, Saints. You're playing
- 30:09Speaker 2: in Paris next year. Boom you going, We're doing a remote.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Who are they playing?
- 30:15Speaker 6: Taylor that you're playing the Cleveland Browne's favorite by the Lake?
- 30:20Speaker 2: Oh my god. Well they got two Pro Bowl quarterbacks
- 30:22Speaker 2: this year. It's true they do, and a new head coach.
- 30:26Speaker 2: The Mistake by the Lake headed to Paris October twenty fifth,
- 30:30Speaker 2: So if you want to make a little Halloween trip
- 30:32Speaker 2: over there.
- 30:33Speaker 1: To uh.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Laddy? What is that?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Is that?
- 30:36Speaker 2: The City of Love? Is that rid or might just
- 30:38Speaker 2: completely wrong? It is? I think the people find love there. Okay,
- 30:41Speaker 2: well I'm going to say it. I think they got
- 30:42Speaker 2: that one bridge with the locks on it.
- 30:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 30:44Speaker 4: I think also the Eiffel Tower.
- 30:48Speaker 2: We went to Paris. Last room, not a big deal.
- 30:53Speaker 4: I just looked at how to say who that in France?
- 30:56Speaker 2: Okay, guissaquissaa cuisa? I like this. I think it's if
- 31:09Speaker 2: you're gonna do the overseas trip, might as well have
- 31:10Speaker 2: the little French inspired go to Paris. You gotta think
- 31:15Speaker 2: that the Saints will be pretty popular there.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Throne was here, huh. The Crone was here.
- 31:26Speaker 2: He was he was, Yeah, he scouting.
- 31:30Speaker 4: I think this was a year ago, but he was here.
- 31:33Speaker 2: This was a year ago. But he's visited. I think
- 31:36Speaker 2: about it. You gotta make travel plans in advance map. Yeah,
- 31:40Speaker 2: that's a good point. Beside these things overnight him and
- 31:43Speaker 2: his wife. It makes you I get why the Saints
- 31:46Speaker 2: would go when you just mentioned the Florida lead and everything.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Why the hell were they like? Maybe they maybe they
- 31:51Speaker 2: doesn't like Paris and they're like, hm, who could we
- 31:56Speaker 2: give them? I knew?
- 31:57Speaker 6: How about the Cleveland Browns, the team who is called
- 32:01Speaker 6: the Browns that are defined by their orange helmet, which
- 32:04Speaker 6: is their official logo.
- 32:05Speaker 5: Maybe it's like a layup for the Saints, like they
- 32:09Speaker 5: want the Saints to go win.
- 32:11Speaker 2: That could be it. That's actually a good point. Give
- 32:14Speaker 2: them the mic rabel Less Titans to play. It's kind
- 32:17Speaker 2: of like the uh in London the Jags play. Do
- 32:20Speaker 2: they play every year? Still? They were playing every year?
- 32:22Speaker 2: They do play every year, They're like the most likely.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I think Roger Goodell has said that he would like
- 32:26Speaker 2: a team to be in London, which would be an
- 32:28Speaker 2: absolute nightmare. Everybody begging to move to London. So yeah,
- 32:32Speaker 2: he does. He definitely wants to go to London. That'd
- 32:35Speaker 2: be awful though, trying to play in your travel at
- 32:38Speaker 2: itener areas around a team in London eight games, They're
- 32:42Speaker 2: eight games here.
- 32:43Speaker 4: God, So do you go for like a week before
- 32:45Speaker 4: to get used to the time.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Change or I think they do? They usually do.
- 32:50Speaker 4: I'm like, how far in advance do you think?
- 32:52Speaker 2: I never did? I never did an overseas drip. I
- 32:55Speaker 2: know Jake did, and I'm pretty sure that when he
- 32:58Speaker 2: was playing for the Chargers, and I'm pretty sure that
- 33:02Speaker 2: they scheduled it to where they had an East Coast
- 33:04Speaker 2: game the week before. Oh okay, so they just flew
- 33:08Speaker 2: from the east coast to instead of having to like
- 33:11Speaker 2: go back and forth and then take like a fly
- 33:13Speaker 2: to fly to London from the west coast, which sounds awful. Yeah,
- 33:18Speaker 2: they just I think that's what they did. Now, that's
- 33:22Speaker 2: over two weeks away from over like a week and
- 33:24Speaker 2: a half away from your family, which is not cool.
- 33:26Speaker 2: But I guess from a travel standpoint, it made sense.
- 33:28Speaker 2: But anyway, say it's taking it on the Cleveland Brown
- 33:31Speaker 2: Shed Deer in company Paris. I wonder if the I
- 33:38Speaker 2: wonder if people will travel for that. Man, it's a
- 33:40Speaker 2: good excuse to go to Paris. It's a destination place too,
- 33:43Speaker 2: for sure. Yeah. Have y'all ever heard of an octopus
- 33:48Speaker 2: in football? I've heard of an octopus in the ocean
- 33:52Speaker 2: and the ocean like on a you know, a nature documentary. No,
- 33:58Speaker 2: the documentary Octopus Teacher, which was a fantastic one. I
- 34:02Speaker 2: think those Netflix fantastic little documentary. Well. I just I
- 34:07Speaker 2: was looking up the novelty prop bets for the Super
- 34:09Speaker 2: Bowl this week, and one of the you know, I'm
- 34:13Speaker 2: scrolling down, like the six or seventh novelty prop bet
- 34:16Speaker 2: is will there be an octopus plus fourteen hundred, yes,
- 34:21Speaker 2: minus four thousand h And I'm like, what do you mean?
- 34:24Speaker 2: Where are they playing? Is this like near an aquarium?
- 34:27Speaker 2: Is this what is happening? So I looked it up
- 34:30Speaker 2: and a football octopus is when the same player scores
- 34:34Speaker 2: a touchdown and converts the two point conversion to that touchdown,
- 34:40Speaker 2: which is a super random situation. I've never feel, like,
- 34:43Speaker 2: I know football pretty well, I've never heard of an
- 34:45Speaker 2: octopus before, right, and that seems like something that would
- 34:47Speaker 2: kind of happen pretty frequently, I guess. So it's plus
- 34:50Speaker 2: fourteen hundred to happen because you don't go for two
- 34:52Speaker 2: a lot.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Sorry, I tuned out for like two seconds.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Yeap, what is it we're talking about? Secret? Yeah?
- 34:57Speaker 4: What is the octopus?
- 34:58Speaker 6: Though?
- 34:58Speaker 2: So it's when the same players is a touchdown and
- 35:01Speaker 2: converts the two point conversion on top of that touchdown.
- 35:04Speaker 2: That is, And I'm like, sitting here, this is a
- 35:07Speaker 2: very obscure way to put it, and it is. I'm
- 35:11Speaker 2: on I'm on like DraftKings dot Com looking at their
- 35:13Speaker 2: sportsbook and I'm under the novelty general novelty props and
- 35:18Speaker 2: it's one, two, three, four five. It's the sixth to
- 35:20Speaker 2: one from the top. I like it, dude, because it
- 35:23Speaker 2: would it's fun. But I think you would just like
- 35:25Speaker 2: depending on the team, you really spell it out, like
- 35:27Speaker 2: what an octopus is. That's not common knowledge. This common
- 35:30Speaker 2: knowledge to anybody, Like like if.
- 35:33Speaker 6: The Eagles were in the Super Bowl again, I could
- 35:35Speaker 6: see Jalen Hurts Toush push from the one line up
- 35:37Speaker 6: again and do it like the odds are probably lower
- 35:39Speaker 6: for him. These two teams neither quarterbacks, really a runner,
- 35:45Speaker 6: I'd say, chances are not. I mean, you said plus
- 35:47Speaker 6: fourteen under, I'd say it's not great.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Anthony brings up a great point in the chat here
- 35:54Speaker 2: eight points eight lasts, I would think, if you're gonna
- 35:58Speaker 2: do it, like make a bad So it was an octopus,
- 36:02Speaker 2: I would say an eight leg parlay, right, Yeah it was.
- 36:05Speaker 4: I just looked it up.
- 36:06Speaker 5: It was Jalen Hurts who had an octopus in twenty
- 36:09Speaker 5: twenty three.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Interesting. I mean I was just thinking, like, like Josh
- 36:12Speaker 2: Allen would be likely to do that as well, somebody
- 36:15Speaker 2: like that. Yeah, Lamar, Yeah, definitely.
- 36:18Speaker 5: I think from what I'm reading, Jalen's the only one
- 36:21Speaker 5: to our knowledge that has done it.
- 36:23Speaker 2: So wait, in the history of the football.
- 36:26Speaker 6: I need to do a little more research, but yeah,
- 36:27Speaker 6: the history of the football, history of the football, Hurts
- 36:30Speaker 6: is the only one.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Apparently, someone's asking to have eyes. Have I ever scored
- 36:33Speaker 2: an octopus? He this says?
- 36:37Speaker 4: Yeah, who's sports?
- 36:38Speaker 5: Says Jalen Hurts made history in Super Bowl fifty seven,
- 36:40Speaker 5: recording the game's first.
- 36:41Speaker 4: And to date only octo. Okay in Super Bowl Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 36:45Speaker 4: I just looked up just super Bowl. I didn't look
- 36:47Speaker 4: up NFL. I'm sure it's happened probably in the NFL
- 36:50Speaker 4: plenty of times.
- 36:51Speaker 2: But I think the more shocking thing to me is
- 36:53Speaker 2: like DraftKings thinking this is common knowledge, Like the term octopus, right,
- 37:00Speaker 2: pretty wild.
- 37:00Speaker 6: I think I'm a sprinkle some on it. I like this,
- 37:03Speaker 6: that's fourteen hundred why not? I mean it's not that crazy.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, you gotta think quarterback is the
- 37:11Speaker 2: most likely. Yeah, the guy'd be watching it be Kenneth
- 37:15Speaker 2: Walker for this there. But then you got to have
- 37:18Speaker 2: a offensive coordinator that's going to call a running play
- 37:21Speaker 2: on a two point version. It does happen, kubiuck lester
- 37:25Speaker 2: on the ball.
- 37:30Speaker 5: Let's see in the NF like in the NFL in general,
- 37:32Speaker 5: because I had just looked up Super Bowl.
- 37:38Speaker 4: There's been hundreds.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Wow, Like it doesn't seem that crazy. Yeah, this game,
- 37:44Speaker 2: I would say, no.
- 37:45Speaker 5: Aaron Rodgers is a frequent performer of this. Really Aaron Rodgers,
- 37:49Speaker 5: Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, Patrick Mahomes, the Packers and the
- 37:55Speaker 5: Vikings are tied for the most in league history.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Octopuses. I see that people track. I think Davanta Adams
- 38:03Speaker 2: did it this year. Could be wrong about that. All right,
- 38:07Speaker 2: there we go. You want to sprinkle a little bit
- 38:09Speaker 2: on a novelty prop that it's clearly the octopus bet obviously. Yeah.
- 38:17Speaker 2: I like, hey, if you need some groceries, go to
- 38:25Speaker 2: Rolses Rouses dot com. Hey, Matt, what do you uh?
