- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn French with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Hey, I've been practicing my finger names from last episode. Lucas: Oh, that's great. Today we're going to review and really solidify those finger names so you can use them naturally. Luna: Perfect. So we have le pouce, that's the thumb. Lucas: Exactly. Le pouce. Luna: Le pouce. Lucas: Good. Then l'index, the index finger. Luna: L'index. Lucas: And le majeur, the middle finger. Luna: Le majeur. Lucas: Then l'annulaire, the ring finger. Luna: L'annulaire. That's a tricky one. Lucas: It is. And finally l'auriculaire, the pinky. Luna: L'auriculaire. Lucas: Let's do a quick review. Hold up your hand and say each finger as I point to it. Luna: Okay, ready. Lucas: Thumb. Luna: Le pouce. Lucas: Index. Luna: L'index. Lucas: Middle. Luna: Le majeur. Lucas: Ring. Luna: L'annulaire. Lucas: Pinky. Luna: L'auriculaire. Lucas: You nailed it. Now let's try a little scene. Imagine you're pointing at something. Say 'I point with my index.' Luna: Je pointe avec mon index. Lucas: Perfect. And if you hurt your thumb? Luna: Je me suis blessé au pouce. Lucas: Exactly. Now let's practice a conversation. I'll ask you a question, and you answer using a finger name. Luna: Okay, go ahead. Lucas: Quel doigt utilises-tu pour montrer? Luna: J'utilise mon index. Lucas: Excellent. And to point at someone? Luna: J'utilise mon index aussi. Lucas: That's right. Luna: I can say 'Je compte sur mes doigts.' Lucas: Exactly. 'Je compte sur mes doigts' means I count on my fingers. Now let's review all five one more time. Repeat after me: le pouce. Luna: Le pouce. Lucas: L'index. Luna: L'index. Lucas: Le majeur. Luna: Le majeur. Lucas: L'annulaire. Luna: L'annulaire. Lucas: L'auriculaire. Luna: L'auriculaire. Lucas: Wonderful. You're doing great.
