- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:42Hi, Saddam. Here and in this hypnosis
- 0:46recording, you're going to be listening to a weight loss
- 0:48hypnosis session for a client that had lost a significant
- 0:53amount of weight but then had reached a plateau.
- 0:57A plateau is just a period of time where you're not.
- 1:00Really seeing any? Progress even though.
- 1:03You're doing exactly the same things that you're doing.
- 1:06Before that was leading you to lose weight and this client was
- 1:09experiencing that and in the past if they experienced a
- 1:13plateau. For too long.
- 1:16Of not seeing progress. They would then think.
- 1:19Well, this isn't worth it. It's not working.
- 1:22I'm going to go back to what I was.
- 1:23Doing before so a. Plateau is one of the most
- 1:28perilous parts of the weight loss journey because it
- 1:31incentivizes and tests. People to.
- 1:35Check their resolve. Like how badly do they want this
- 1:39different body shape? And the plateau is.
- 1:41A key part of that. Test.
- 1:43Now this particular client had a mission, a motive.
- 1:48And that is that. One of their children was
- 1:50getting married and they imagined themself at that
- 1:53wedding wearing a particular dress.
- 1:55They had already bought the dress, and the dress required
- 1:58them to lose even more weight. They weren't losing the weight.
- 2:01Because of the. Plateau.
- 2:03So there's a couple of things that you're going to hear in
- 2:05this hypnosis session, and one of them is an element of future
- 2:09pacing. So we actually start with them,
- 2:12imagining they're already in their slimmer body.
- 2:15Wearing this particular. Dress and then we have a
- 2:18metaphor of a hidden pantry, so I want.
- 2:21You to think. Like if you had, let's say,
- 2:25let's say there was a famine, there's no food around, there's
- 2:27no food in the supermarket. You would eat the food in your
- 2:32cupboards in your fridge 1st and then after that you would feel
- 2:35very hungry. But then let's just just say you
- 2:37discovered a hidden pantry, and it was.
- 2:39Filled with. You know, frozen food and canned
- 2:42food, well, actually that gives you additional energy that you
- 2:45didn't even realize that you had.
- 2:47And I would say long term body fat is a bit like that hidden
- 2:51pantry. In the sense.
- 2:53That the body has to realize that it can use that fat because
- 2:57it's been around for so long as a.
- 2:59Store of energy. So there is metaphor in this.
- 3:02There is future. Pacing there is.
- 3:03Direct suggestion and one of my favorite suggestions when it
- 3:07comes to plateaus. It's the idea that.
- 3:10The longer it takes. For the.
- 3:12Plateau to get through the bigger the breakthrough and what
- 3:15that does is it enables you to play this psychological game of
- 3:19chicken. Where are you going to let's say
- 3:24relapse and go back to old behaviour?
- 3:26Or are you going to? Keep doing the good.
- 3:28Choices until the transformation takes place and I think that's a
- 3:33very empowering way to think of a plateau that it is a test that
- 3:38you need to pass in order to continue with the next phase of
- 3:42the transformation. Now obviously, this session was
- 3:46created for a specific client. Not all of the suggestions are
- 3:49going to be related to you. So I'm going to recommend two
- 3:53key. Things one of them.
- 3:54Is the a way of booking a consultation?
- 3:58Call with me? There's going to be a link for
- 4:00you to book that free consultation call.
- 4:02We can have a chat and then we can talk about creating bespoke
- 4:05sessions for you and the second? Thing.
- 4:07Is a a free trial? So I've recently launched a,
- 4:15what I would call a kind of a course, but I would call it like
- 4:18a membership. And it's called the Hypnotists
- 4:21Secret Circle. And basically within this you've
- 4:24got a vault and archive of every single hypnosis recording that
- 4:28I've ever done all in one place. And you get to access that for
- 4:33free as part of the free trial. So if you like my hypnosis
- 4:36sessions, but you don't want to be going on the podcast or
- 4:40YouTube every time to listen to it and maybe these kind of
- 4:43explanations that I do, you don't really want to listen to
- 4:45that every time you listen to a hypnosis recording.
- 4:47Check out the free trial because you've got all the hypnosis
- 4:50recordings without the intro, without the jingles, without the
- 4:53outro and without my explanation.
- 4:55So if that appeals to you, check that free trial to the hypnotist
- 5:00secret circle. I'll put a link.
- 5:01In the description. For now though, hoefully, you're
- 5:04going to get some value out of this recorded session here, so
- 5:07find a quiet, comfortable place where you won't be.
- 5:09Disturbed, relax and. Enjoy the session.
- 5:55Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 6:05resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 6:09And as you exhale, feel a wonderful sense of release,
- 6:16particularly around your eyelids, as they feel heavier
- 6:22and more relaxed as tension leaves your body.
- 6:27That's it. Feel that ripple of relaxation
- 6:36starting at your eyelids and then rippling to every part of
- 6:40your face, neck, and shoulders as you recall a time when you
- 6:48threw a stone into a pond and you saw the ripple come from the
- 6:56point of impact to every part of the surface of that pond.
- 7:05So feel those ripples of relaxation that's in further and
- 7:15increasing their power of relaxation, taking you deeper
- 7:23and deeper, relaxed. That's it.
- 7:29And maybe you notice your breathing getting slower, your
- 7:40breathing getting deeper. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 7:49more relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 7:55the deeper you breathe, breathing in resourceful
- 8:05relaxation. And as you slowly exhale, just
- 8:12allow your body to have permission to go even deeper.
- 8:22Relaxed so much so that with every breath you may begin to
- 8:32feel yourself gently descending like a leaf, floating slowly to
- 8:39the ground. Peaceful, weightless, supported.
- 8:49And maybe with each breath you can imagine the muscles
- 8:55releasing all of that tension, your shoulders releasing, your
- 9:02neck and stomach, just letting go of any unnecessary tension.
- 9:10And your body knows how to get to this place.
- 9:16A place of pure, resourceful relaxation.
- 9:27And I want you to use the power of your imagination to imagine a
- 9:36door. A door in your own home.
- 9:44And I want you to imagine standing in front of that door,
- 9:50but I want you to start thinking of what's on the other side of
- 9:57the door. I want you to imagine that this
- 10:02door within your imagination has become a portal to the future.
- 10:11That as you open and walk through this door, you will
- 10:15arrive in a different place, a wedding venue in the future.
- 10:27So let's walk through this door into the future, a future
- 10:33version of you, where you will have lost sufficient weight so
- 10:41that when you wear a particular dress for a particular occasion,
- 10:46you will feel slim and elegant. Standing in front of that door
- 10:54in your home. 5 putting your hand on the handle, 4 Turning
- 11:03the handle, 3 opening the door, 2 walking through the door and
- 11:14one closing the door behind you. As you now imagine yourself in
- 11:21this wedding venue, just about to try on a dress that was
- 11:29purchased for a very special occasion, perhaps you could
- 11:37imagine yourself in a guest room with a full length mirror.
- 11:47And as you look at yourself in the mirror, before you try on
- 11:50the dress, I want you to get a sense that you have broken
- 11:57through at least one, but maybe more plateaus.
- 12:05And by having the patience and the foresight and the
- 12:11consistency to keep making great choices, that's what got you in
- 12:21this room about to wear this dress.
- 12:27So see yourself in that full length mirror, see yourself
- 12:34looking slim, and focus on the parts of your body that let you
- 12:41know that you've lost unwanted or unnecessary body fat.
- 12:50And when you're convinced that the future version of you is
- 12:55that slim, healthy. Shape.
- 12:59Then imagine putting on that dress and I want you to imagine
- 13:09how confident, elegant and at ease you feel wearing that
- 13:16dress. Notice the colour, the fabric,
- 13:23the texture, even the complimentary hat that matches
- 13:30the same style and the same colour.
- 13:35I want you to get a feeling that this is your future, but to get
- 13:45to this future requires building on top of already strong
- 13:54foundations. I want you to get a sense that
- 14:09you are already on track to make progress towards this future.
- 14:19This won't happen by accident or luck.
- 14:24As you look at yourself wearing that elegant, stylish dress, I
- 14:29want you to come to the conclusion that what got you
- 14:33there was your choices, your consistency, and even your
- 14:43patience. The patience to keep doing the
- 14:48right things, even if in the moment you're not seeing the
- 14:54progress that you wanted. I want you to think back from
- 15:02the future about all those times you chose health over habit.
- 15:11Maybe you can recall those social events that it was fine
- 15:16for other people to overindulge, but you chose not to.
- 15:26Maybe you can recall how many of those Tuesdays that you decided
- 15:32to choose not to eat. And maybe you can recall those
- 15:43days that you walked for longer and further than you normally
- 15:52did. And what if this destination,
- 16:00wearing this dress was lots of consistent healthy choices
- 16:09compounding over time that got you to that destination?
- 16:19I want you to think of a car journey.
- 16:25Car journey has a destination in mind, but what gets you there is
- 16:33hundreds if not thousands of tiny movements.
- 16:38The movement of an indicator of an accelerator or brake pedal,
- 16:45Tiny movements of a steering wheel.
- 16:50You don't just get to the destination, but when all of
- 16:56those tiny little things become automatic, it can feel simple.
- 17:05You might tell someone if they ask how did you get here?
- 17:11One chunk of information explains it all.
- 17:16I drove even though you made the choice to get into the car, to
- 17:23turn on the ignition, to put it into gear, to move and to adjust
- 17:31and adjust and adjust. But those 123-4000 tiny things
- 17:40can all be encapsulated into the word drove.
- 17:50And maybe we can encapsulate everything into one word that
- 17:59helps you to continue on your journey.
- 18:05And maybe that word is choose. If you want to eat less, you can
- 18:15choose. If you want to miss a meal, you
- 18:20can choose. If you want to walk more steps
- 18:26on a particular day, you can choose to do so.
- 18:34If you want to have a smaller portion size, that's a choice
- 18:39too. And what if a plateau that you
- 18:46experienced was just a psychological game of chicken?
- 18:53A test, A test to see if you would go back to old behaviours,
- 19:01old habits. I want you to think of your
- 19:09home. I want you to picture the
- 19:13cupboards perhaps in your kitchen.
- 19:19And I want you to think that if you weren't going to go to the
- 19:26supermarket for a few weeks, then you would need to eat what
- 19:34is in your refrigerator or cupboards before you ran out.
- 19:42And I want you to come to the conclusion that your body has
- 19:44already done that. But I want you to imagine what
- 19:51it would be like if there was a hidden pantry somewhere in your
- 19:57home, filled with. Kind of food that can last a
- 20:06long time. Maybe cans or frozen foods that
- 20:13if you had forgotten or didn't know about that hidden pantry,
- 20:18then you would have the desire to go to the supermarket to
- 20:24replenish the cupboards. But I want you to imagine
- 20:31discovering the hidden pantry, knowing that this is a metaphor
- 20:40for your body to find hidden fat reserves that you may have been
- 20:48holding onto for many years. So long that your body doesn't
- 20:54even realize that this is a source of energy.
- 21:01I want you to come to the conclusion that as you discover
- 21:04the hidden pantry, your unconscious mind starts to
- 21:11figure out those old body fat cells are in fact a source of
- 21:18energy. They can be turned into usable
- 21:23energy for the body, but the only way for the body to find
- 21:33those hidden fuel reserves is for you to remain consistent and
- 21:40patient through the plateau. Because when your body discovers
- 21:49that hidden source of energy, well then your hunger and
- 21:56appetite will go down even more. Because why would your body need
- 22:02new food when it's found so much of that energy within you?
- 22:11From this point forward, you will consider that old body fat
- 22:19like a hidden pantry, a reserve of energy kept for emergencies,
- 22:30energy stored from long ago. And maybe your body is cautious
- 22:36or hesitant. But the longer that you are
- 22:42consistent, the more your body trusts that this plateau is not
- 22:49failure. It's a runway to the very next
- 22:55breakthrough, and maybe you've noticed that small regional
- 23:05airports have shorter runways than international airports.
- 23:16The longer the runway, the further the aeroplanes can fly.
- 23:26And what if the longer the plateau, the bigger the
- 23:32breakthrough, the bigger the adaptation, the more your body
- 23:41transforms to this healthy, lean, confident shape.
- 23:55Consider this a friendly stand off.
- 24:02That part of your body that doesn't want to adapt is hoping
- 24:07and wishing that you'll go back to those old behaviours, those
- 24:14old habits, just as you've done in the past.
- 24:22These cravings, these thoughts, these urges are there to test
- 24:27you, but I want you to feel unfazed by the test.
- 24:40You want to be tested because you're different now.
- 24:47You don't even flinch because you know every healthy choice,
- 24:55every reduced portion size, every extra step is training
- 25:02your body to adapt. And when it does adapt, that
- 25:09becomes the next big breakthrough.
- 25:19So as you find yourself wearing that dress, looking at that full
- 25:24length mirror, you get a sense that in order to be wearing that
- 25:30dress, you won the standoff. You won that psychological game
- 25:38of chicken. Your body did adapt and the
- 25:44evidence is the dress you're wearing.
- 25:48So I want you to imagine leaving the room and joining a
- 25:55celebration where you're surrounded by people you love,
- 26:00people you know. And I want you to imagine how
- 26:05good it would feel to hear the compliments.
- 26:09You look amazing. How did you lose all that
- 26:13weight? Imagine hearing all the kind of
- 26:18compliments and to be able to link them to you winning the
- 26:29stand off. You choosing to make those
- 26:34choices because your success can't be attributed to an
- 26:42injection, A fad diet, or something else.
- 26:49It can only be linked to the choices you made.
- 26:56And that's what makes you feel so good.
- 27:00Not just because you're this shape, but because you earned
- 27:05it. You created this body shape from
- 27:11the choices that you made. So consider the recent past as a
- 27:23stepping stone, a foundation, a point to review and recap so
- 27:33that you can pursue through the plateau feeling re energized,
- 27:42recommitted, more enthused, with a bring it on attitude.
- 27:51You will keep making these healthy choices until your body
- 27:57adapts. And the longer it takes to
- 28:03adapt, the bigger and more magical the transformation will
- 28:09be. And if your unconscious is aware
- 28:15and on board with this plan of resilience and adaptation, let
- 28:21me know by nodding your head. So imagine enjoying that
- 28:28celebration, feeling comfortable, confident, slim and
- 28:35elegant, knowing this is your future because you chose it, you
- 28:46intended it, it simply will be done.
- 28:54So it's time to leave this journey in your imagination.
- 29:01Imagine walking back through that same door, back into your
- 29:04own home, but realising that all of this are just thoughts within
- 29:11thoughts, ideas within ideas, and dreams within dreams and
- 29:16it's time to return back to the here and the now.
- 29:22So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 29:27nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 29:31wiggle your toes. That's it.
- 29:33Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 29:38from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 29:41Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8.
- 29:49Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 29:53Wide awake. Wide awake.
