- 0:00SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna be pre-freshing that story a lot.
- 0:03SPEAKER_03: And I really hope you don't do what I did, which is not posting.
- 0:06SPEAKER_03: Like I hope there's postings like you can keep up with everybody that we want to do the next couple of months to lock in and say here in the best possible way that you can.
- 0:17SPEAKER_03: My co-work is like, follow me if you're here.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, okay.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: I'm finally following along.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: And we go to the team office of the hotel menu.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: And everyone's sitting there, and they all look so solemn.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: I'm like, am I in trouble?
- 0:29SPEAKER_03: We have our one friend who records all of the silly moments of us that should not be seen in the light today.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: She's so good at that.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: No, sh clicking.
- 0:39SPEAKER_02: She never saw an unnatural ability to catch things on videos.
- 0:44SPEAKER_03: This is magical and crazy at the same time.
- 0:46SPEAKER_03: Okay, chapters are ending.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: Chapters are starting.
- 0:50SPEAKER_03: We're just hanging out and loving, being with each other and giggling and all of that.
- 0:55SPEAKER_03: Well, simultaneously.
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: Massive things are happening and genuines are talking.
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: If Lululemon and Alo had a baby, that would be the best thing in between.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: You should feel okay if you have the say no, right?
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: But I don't really think I like the term normalizing because it almost makes a thing.
- 1:12SPEAKER_03: Another thing that I've been noticing really easier is that I love your sweater by the way.
- 1:35SPEAKER_03: It's so cute.
- 1:36SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 1:37SPEAKER_03: Dude, Abercrombie really is coming back.
- 1:40SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 1:41SPEAKER_03: I need to go with it.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: You know who I think dropped the ball though is the Ori lately.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: I walked in and I just I don't like the color palette that they've decided on for winter.
- 1:51SPEAKER_03: Hello everyone.
- 1:52SPEAKER_03: Welcome back to another episode of Wait, What's Next?
- 1:55SPEAKER_03: We started talking too early, but I think this is very relevant.
- 1:59SPEAKER_03: Uh, we're talking about brands because I love Amanda's sweater today and she and it's Abercrombie.
- 2:04SPEAKER_03: And you talk about Viore.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: I love that brand when it came out.
- 2:10SPEAKER_03: When it just came out.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: I mean Benny right now.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Our third co-host is I know he's he really wants, he has something to say, he has some strong opinions about Viore.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Let's go with that.
- 2:25SPEAKER_03: He hasn't been on the butt for a few weeks, so I think it's a lot, it's a lot of build-up, you know.
- 2:29SPEAKER_03: It's okay.
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: We gotta let him, we gotta let him come true.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Okay, wait, so Viore you really love.
- 2:35SPEAKER_03: I I think when they just first came out, it was very different.
- 2:40SPEAKER_03: I went in and it was more so so it's it was kind of like Lulu's, it was more like kind of like this curated brand and high quality.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: But literally, I just went and shopped there once and then all of their all of their drops and all of their new things, they're just the same.
- 3:00SPEAKER_03: And to me, it's just not keeping up with fashion.
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: And from a perspective of yeah, athletic wear doesn't have to be extremely fashion, but I think a lot of people do want to look good, especially when you have the aloe and the lulus of the world.
- 3:16SPEAKER_03: And so I think that Beori, I never even think of that brand when it comes to athletic wear.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: So maybe I think that Buori wore because it started in San Diego and like not far from where I live.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: But I didn't really care for the brand when I first started.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: I still like Lulu more, but as of late, I don't really like Lulu, and I am liking Beori more.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Part of that reason why is a lot of Lulu's leggings, like fit me so weird, and like they're not, you know, doing processing sound there.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: But I like Beori, and I think Beori, I don't know, something about their leggings, I like the feel of them better.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: I like their legs, I think the quality at the quality honestly sick me.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: I just do not like their recent color palette, and then aloe, I just can't even catch myself to walk in there.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Alo build their whole brand on celebrities and having this like exclusive member feel.
- 4:13SPEAKER_03: But also, I have so many things to say.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: Lulu's I actually do like specific leggings that they have that fit really well.
- 4:22SPEAKER_03: I have one brand that I about I don't even know, I think over 10 years ago.
- 4:26SPEAKER_03: Because I had those when I went to Santa Barbara, and those leggings are still looking fresh and don't even worn off, and that was the whole appeal of Lulu's, their quality.
- 4:38SPEAKER_03: I think that's very good about Lulu's.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: Actually, now I think they're coming up with more forward, new looking type of wear, which is really fun because I think they're embracing the tennis culture and all of that, and I think that's really nice to just walk in and not get the same thing that you always got.
- 4:57SPEAKER_03: I think that's where Aloe came in and put pressure on all these brands because I love the style of Aloe.
- 5:04SPEAKER_03: I love their leggings, I love that they come up with different types of tops.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: It's so different.
- 5:09SPEAKER_03: Every drop they do, and then they they do venture into very different colors, very light, bright.
- 5:15SPEAKER_03: They also go into browns, they go into nudes, and then they introduce a yellow.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: So I that's what I like about them, but they're extremely expensive, and the quality it's so bad.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: I heard aloquality was not bad.
- 5:35SPEAKER_03: It's horrible.
- 5:36SPEAKER_03: I wash leggings for the first time and they immediately look like they're old.
- 5:40SPEAKER_03: It sucks because you're paying so much money for these clothes, and it sucks because I think their branding, their marketing, and literally I do like their style.
- 5:53SPEAKER_03: It's so pretty.
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: It drowns me in.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: I walk into an Auto store and I don't want to leave.
- 5:57SPEAKER_03: I want to buy 10 different looks, but it is cute, you can literally spend a thousand dollars on three looks, and they're not gonna last you forever.
- 6:06SPEAKER_03: Every single piece of item that I have from Alo has an H well, and it just sucks because it's so expensive.
- 6:14SPEAKER_03: And don't get me started on they're trying to venture into the luxury space with$500 bags in the old and they also introduce glasses that are$500.
- 6:26SPEAKER_03: So I'm like, you're competing with Prada, you're competing with very curated luxury brands, and they have a history, and your quality is not that good.
- 6:35SPEAKER_03: I don't know if they're gonna be able to keep thriving just on looks, but the quality is eventually gonna catch up with them, and it's just not gonna be good for them.
- 6:46SPEAKER_03: That's just my opinion.
- 6:51SPEAKER_03: No, literally look it up.
- 6:52SPEAKER_03: I and again, I get drawn into the brand because I love their style, I love this new bag, Wicander that they dropped.
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: And I went to look and I was actually talking to my brother about this.
- 7:02SPEAKER_03: I was like, oh my god, like this brand is so cute, it's brown, it's very, very luxury look.
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: I think they do it with Italian leather, and there was this whole campaign that they did.
- 7:13SPEAKER_03: When I go and look, it was I think it was actually in the thousands.
- 7:17SPEAKER_03: And my brother was like, I am not like that's crazy.
- 7:21SPEAKER_03: Are you looking it up right now?
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you said it was the weekender, it's kind of like a weekend.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: Or is it just like the duffel?
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: Okay, so it's like the duffel bag style.
- 7:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: Shop collection.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Here, in the meantime, while I look for a gear.
- 7:36SPEAKER_03: Hit us with the price.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: Hit us with the price.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: How much?
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: I am not even in the duffel bags, I am in a micro mini purse that is$1,800.
- 7:48SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 7:48SPEAKER_03: I was actually I was very off.
- 7:50SPEAKER_03: It's on the thousands.
- 7:52SPEAKER_03: So we're competing with the Louis Vuitton Gucci Prades of the World.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: You're telling me somebody's gonna go into Aloe and spend$2,300 on an oversized toad when they go to the iconic Louis Vuitton.
- 8:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so I kind of really want to see how Aloe is actually doing in terms of from a business perspective, because yeah, they are positioning themselves as a luxury brand that hasn't really doesn't have the legacy and doesn't have the you know history that all of these other brands have, they have a badass marketing team.
- 8:33SPEAKER_03: I'm telling you that much.
- 8:34SPEAKER_03: They do their PR and all of that.
- 8:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:38SPEAKER_03: And so I will say if that is what they're doing right, and I'm not gonna lie, I do like the styles, but for the amount of money that you're paying, these leggings should last at the very least in the same competitive level that Lulu does.
- 8:55SPEAKER_03: I don't know if Lulu still does that, but back in the day, you will buy leggings, even if you wore the leggings for four to five years, if they got a hole, you could bring it back and Lululemons would stick to it.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: They don't do it anymore.
- 9:09SPEAKER_03: But that was their level of quality, that they had that for us.
- 9:14SPEAKER_03: And I took once, okay, that was so crazy.
- 9:16SPEAKER_03: My leggings were so worn off.
- 9:18SPEAKER_03: You know, I work out a lot, so that's gonna happen eventually, even at two-year markets already pushing it.
- 9:23SPEAKER_03: I took it back and they did it, they fixed it.
- 9:25SPEAKER_03: They had like a hole, they fixed it, and because they are so committed to quality.
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: That is the part.
- 9:30SPEAKER_03: I feel like if Lululemon and Aloe had a baby, that would be the perfect in between.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: Well, I don't know.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: I take that back.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: Beore's so so cow.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: But okay, let's do a little bit of yeah, let's do a little bit of a catch-up because it's been a while, things have happened.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: I had a birthday, you went to our friend's wedding.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: That we sadly could not make.
- 9:53SPEAKER_03: I know, Amanda.
- 9:54SPEAKER_03: Welcome back because we haven't seen you in a little bit.
- 9:57SPEAKER_03: So we definitely need to catch up.
- 9:59SPEAKER_03: And I know you have so many fun things coming up.
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: And yes, you were not there for the wedding, which I did talk about on my solo episode of getting ready and makeup and all of that.
- 10:09SPEAKER_03: You were supposed to be there, but unfortunately, timing and traveling and your work didn't let you.
- 10:15SPEAKER_03: So, yeah, let's get into it.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: You know, this whole idea of like normalized saying no to X, Y, and Z or like normalized saying no to weddings.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: I I was thinking about this the other day because I was like, there's a part of me that you should feel okay if you have to say no, right?
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: But I don't really think I like the term normalized saying no because it almost makes it seem like it's it's an excuse.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like normalized saying no to the wedding.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: And it's like, well, that sounds like people are just gonna start saying no because they don't necessarily want to.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: And I think that being invited to someone's wedding in itself is pretty meaningful because they want to it's a privilege.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's expensive.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: I I mean they're paying for the plate, the cost of the plate, the cost of the venue, all of those details and saying no to our friend's wedding.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: I wish I could have went.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: I was home for three days in between trips.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: So I wouldn't have even been home for over two weeks.
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: And like you said, I have so much coming up that I just couldn't manage it.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: I don't think I would have ever had clean clothes.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: I would have been walking around with like dirty smelly clothes.
- 11:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and we missed you, and that is the thing to your point about what is being so meaningful, it's not only the party that they're doing, but it's also you're celebrating love and you're celebrating everything else aside, the party and all of that.
- 11:39SPEAKER_03: Seeing the friends that you know for so long in that special day, yeah, it's so meaningful.
- 11:46SPEAKER_03: And I've been to two of my best friends' weddings, and this one was the third one, and it just really hits different.
- 11:53SPEAKER_03: And another thing is it's another opportunity for us to get together as friends, it's like an excuse because we don't get to do this anymore.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: We can only rely on weddings, we gotta like make up your plan.
- 12:05SPEAKER_03: But also, we have, I think we do have a limited budget, and I feel like once weddings are happening, you kind of have to budget in the wedding.
- 12:15SPEAKER_03: If it was up to me, I'll come and see you.
- 12:17SPEAKER_03: I'll come, I want to go to New York.
- 12:18SPEAKER_03: I talked to our friend who lives in New York, and I was like, I'm coming on October.
- 12:21SPEAKER_03: It's not happening.
- 12:22SPEAKER_03: I can't do it because you're kinda out of time.
- 12:25SPEAKER_03: I'm out of time and almost out of money.
- 12:27SPEAKER_03: I can't keep up.
- 12:28SPEAKER_03: So it's kind of like you have to obviously you have to prioritize these special events.
- 12:33SPEAKER_03: If it's up to me, I'll make a girl's trip every year without any excuse.
- 12:39SPEAKER_03: But yeah, it was a thing, and another thing that I've been noticing, especially this year, is that you meet up there, and for instance, this one was special because we had a little sleepover the night before.
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: So the bride didn't stay with the groom, she stayed with us, the girls, and we kept saying, Oh, this is a sleepover, sleepover.
- 13:00SPEAKER_03: We actually had like bunker beds, our four friends.
- 13:03SPEAKER_03: We all slept in the bunker beds, but also actually, I talk about this in my subsack, which by the way, I now have a subsack and I'm loving it.
- 13:12SPEAKER_03: It's vlogging, and it's all the vibes that I always wanted.
- 13:16SPEAKER_03: I'm obsessed with it.
- 13:18SPEAKER_03: But I was saying how you get together and then you have these massive updates for each other.
- 13:25SPEAKER_03: There's things that I can talk here, but I was like, oh my god, it just feels as a group we are evolving, and even though people have been getting married for the past few years, now I actually feel okay, chapters are ending, chapters are starting, and it's just so crazy.
- 13:43SPEAKER_03: But at the same time, sitting with the girls in the same room, eating snacks with our mask on feels like we were still in college 10 years ago.
- 13:56SPEAKER_03: So there is this little back and forth and perils happening at the same time when I'm like, nothing has changed, we're the same, we're just girls talking, gossiping.
- 14:05SPEAKER_03: Sometimes there's nothing to update about, and we're just hanging out and loving, being with each other and giggling and all of that.
- 14:12SPEAKER_03: Well, simultaneously, massive things are happening and changes are coming.
- 14:17SPEAKER_03: And I can speak from my perspective, I'm planning my move and moving in with my boyfriend for the first time, and my other friends had like all their outers that I was like, oh my god, this is crazy.
- 14:26SPEAKER_03: So it was really meaningful, and I feel like I had a moment to sit there and think, Wow, this is magical and crazy at the same time.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: I know I'm sitting at home, but I was like just itching for everyone to post stories.
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: You guys did not post.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: We just said, No, I was like, Where are my Instagram stories?
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: And I think it was like two days later, somebody finally posted one.
- 14:48SPEAKER_01: I think it was you and like maybe one other person.
- 14:51SPEAKER_02: I was expecting our I was expecting I needed at least a minimum of 10 photos of the bride.
- 14:59SPEAKER_02: Where are they?
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: Now that part, I was itching.
- 15:02SPEAKER_03: You know, it's so crazy because I didn't realize we didn't post anything until I was sitting at the airport.
- 15:08SPEAKER_03: And I was like, wait, none of you, what happened?
- 15:11SPEAKER_03: But at the same time, I love when that happens because yeah, they you know what happened is fine.
- 15:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know what happened this year.
- 15:19SPEAKER_03: I realized I I was losing my phone.
- 15:21SPEAKER_03: I don't know if anybody can relate, but when you feel you're losing your phone, it's such a great feeling because you're like, oh my god, I'm really in the moment.
- 15:29SPEAKER_03: I'm really not thinking of being on the phone or scrolling or anything.
- 15:32SPEAKER_03: I was barely on my phone.
- 15:34SPEAKER_03: In this new era that we live in, it's such a magical moment to just be okay, what's going on?
- 15:40SPEAKER_03: And you just lose yourself in the moment.
- 15:42SPEAKER_03: But then that also comes with the consequences because once I'm sitting in the airport in the fields, have said goodbye to all of my friends, and I'm about to go back into my life.
- 15:51SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh my god, I wish I had more pictures.
- 15:53SPEAKER_03: Like, where are all these things and memories that I had?
- 15:56SPEAKER_03: I have nothing to sort through.
- 15:58SPEAKER_03: I literally went on my phone looking for it.
- 16:00SPEAKER_03: None of this is possible because we would just get silly, and then we have our one friend who records all of the silly moments of us that should not be seen the light today.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: She's so good at that.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: No, like if that she has an unnatural ability to caption things on videos that you don't even know are happening.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: It's so funny because so, okay, I had two speeches.
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: I have a speech last year on our friend's wedding, which you were there, and I had a speech this year, which I sent to you, but we didn't talk about it.
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: Our friend, who is our how do I call it in the in the speech?
- 16:35SPEAKER_03: She is our undercover, and she made it her life mission to record and collect all of these memories that are so embarrassing.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: But as they're not just slightly embarrassing, they're really embarrassing.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: And she always makes it in my speech, and I have to give her a shout out because I always talk about these memories that we have in the embarrassing moments, and it's so funny because um I always talk about you on my speeches because you are always recording everyone, and I don't know how you do it.
- 17:05SPEAKER_03: She just happens to have the phone in a very embarrassing moment.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: Always.
- 17:11SPEAKER_03: We're just recording that, and actually, I didn't have my phone.
- 17:14SPEAKER_03: I'm counting on the wedding pictures that we're gonna get eventually, so I can actually post.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: But safe to say, our friend Lauren looked beautiful.
- 17:22SPEAKER_03: I love all of my friends' weddings, and each of them were so special in their own way.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: They're all unique to their personality.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: They were so unique.
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: I I actually was thinking about this.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they were so unique, and I think the level of stress has been different for all of them because for Alexia, it was a massive wedding, and there was a lot of tension and getting ready, and it was just this production team that was working behind the scenes, so it felt, oh my god, this is the event of the year, and it was really fun and all that.
- 17:55SPEAKER_03: And then I think Brittany, our other friend, it was still very structured and a lot of things to do, but I think for that one, I had a speech, so I was nervous.
- 18:05SPEAKER_03: It was more so I was in it and like stressed about that.
- 18:08SPEAKER_03: But our last wedding, the last wedding, this one, it was less production focused, and more so we're just hanging out, and I don't think we were on time to things, so it was more layback, but it was also special in different ways.
- 18:24SPEAKER_03: So I love all of them, but I will say I love my friends, this isn't against anybody, but Lauren's wedding dress was insane, insane, and I think it's because that will be my style too.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: It just depends on what your style is, but her dress, oh my god, also Lauren has this mannerism, which is really tall.
- 18:44SPEAKER_03: I think she's very she's like a whimsical fairy princess, and her dress like matched that, and she's she's really whimsy, yeah, and she snatched into this kind of corset, which was beautiful.
- 18:57SPEAKER_03: The back was the right amount of spicy because it was corset and it was kind of open, but it gave her like that open back, but it was still very classic and high level, and it had class, very, very cute.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: Her dress is timeless because it's like glass and white, there's no, it didn't look like there were any embezzlement onto it that I could see.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: It was a little bit of a drop waist, and then it popped out on my hands and like a line gown, yeah.
- 19:23SPEAKER_03: And also the material was this I know Dutch's sateen, which is very soft that sateen look.
- 19:31SPEAKER_03: I think it was that type of material, so it was just very elegant.
- 19:34SPEAKER_03: But what I will say is Lauren was walking, and I told her that she was kind of leaning back.
- 19:40SPEAKER_03: Have you seen?
- 19:41SPEAKER_03: I don't know if you've seen that movie with Ariana Grande, Princess movie.
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: It's not a princess movie yet.
- 19:46SPEAKER_03: Wicked, yeah, wicked.
- 19:48SPEAKER_03: You know how she walks?
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: I actually haven't seen it because I don't like musicals like movies.
- 19:53SPEAKER_03: The first one, side note, the first one.
- 19:56SPEAKER_03: The first one was kind of good, and then I watched the second one.
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: What am I watching?
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: This is terrible.
- 20:00SPEAKER_03: But the way she walks is very majestic and she leans back.
- 20:04SPEAKER_03: That's how Lauren came out walking.
- 20:06SPEAKER_03: But I think she was doing it without thinking.
- 20:08SPEAKER_03: Laurel was just, you know, you know how she is.
- 20:10SPEAKER_03: She's like very silly and cute.
- 20:11SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Lauren, you look a fairy princess.
- 20:14SPEAKER_03: The way that you're just walking so gracefully, she kind of moves slow and like very subtle.
- 20:20SPEAKER_03: I must say, she looks so beautiful.
- 20:22SPEAKER_03: I was obsessed with her dress.
- 20:24SPEAKER_03: This is gonna be kind of my dress.
- 20:25SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 20:26SPEAKER_03: Everything was really pretty, and honestly, just the vibes.
- 20:28SPEAKER_03: All of our friends when we get together, is time hasn't passed by, and you're just trying to soak it in every little moment because you know those moments are so limited.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: We miss you though.
- 20:39SPEAKER_03: We wish you were there.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: Just a green way, too.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: I wish I could have been there.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: I know that you know this and Lauren knows is when the girl's like, well, actually, I've been I basically told everyone that another reason why I couldn't really make it is speaking of having a budget for weddings, I'm going to Vietnam for a wedding.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: And so that one itself is so expensive just to fly there.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: And I had this plan a little bit before I found out about Lauren's wedding.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: And that's backed up.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's coming in three weeks.
- 21:10SPEAKER_03: No, and I mean, we're not gonna share too much, but this is gonna be a good trip for you.
- 21:16SPEAKER_03: I know you're going to a wedding, and then you're also celebrating your birthday, right?
- 21:20SPEAKER_03: It's kind of like a celebration.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: My birthday is just done in the past.
- 21:24SPEAKER_03: Which by the way, happy birthday to Amanda.
- 21:27SPEAKER_03: It was just her birthday week or month.
- 21:30SPEAKER_03: I mean I this is still your birthday month until the end of the month.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: But I mean, it really feels like my week, though, because you know that I was traveling on my birthday.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: I was in Houston for a conference, and then I was on a plane, but I did go to my parents the next day, and my brother made me a case, and then yesterday I hung out with my mom for a little bit, but my girlfriend went to get coffee, and she like traded me to birthday coffee, and then today I'm doing a girl's center, so I really had cool.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Coincidentally, I'm having like four days of celebrations, even though the I always say it's my month wedding.
- 22:06SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's I always say it's my mom's birthday.
- 22:08SPEAKER_03: It's always my mom's birthday.
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: I don't care.
- 22:10SPEAKER_03: People try to take away from me.
- 22:10SPEAKER_03: I'm no, this is my month.
- 22:12SPEAKER_03: I don't care what you can say.
- 22:13SPEAKER_03: Because you're right.
- 22:14SPEAKER_03: Different people can celebrate you in different times, which makes it longer.
- 22:18SPEAKER_03: I'm not mad about it.
- 22:20SPEAKER_03: Question for you.
- 22:21SPEAKER_03: You woke up on the day of your birthday and you were traveling and you were alone.
- 22:26SPEAKER_03: How do you make it a little bit special for yourself?
- 22:29SPEAKER_03: Because I feel like birthdays, personally, I think they're so special and like the day off.
- 22:34SPEAKER_03: Do you make anything special just for you to be like, I'm gonna celebrate myself?
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: I mean, I love a free Starbucks.
- 22:42SPEAKER_03: Yes, that's where my mind went.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: Oh, I I went.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: It was 7:10 in the morning, and I was all bed up in my conference outfit.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: So I am like in my slots and in my button down, my hair is done, and I booked it to Starbucks.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: I think I turned a 12-minute walk into an eight-minute walk in classic New York fashion.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: Got there, ordered the drink.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: That's one of my favorites, which I have not had in many, many months.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: What's your favorite box anymore?
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: So I have two, but my like top contender that I usually go for is a shaken espresso with oat milk, and then one pump of waivoca, one pump of vanilla or sugar grain vanilla, and add cinnamon powder.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: That one is everyone who's tried it has loved it.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: But then my second favorite, which I went with the first one I just told you.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: The second one I always tell people they get is the horchata drink.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna butcher how I modify it, but I know it's adding horchata foam, and then I do some other modification to it.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: And that one is also so good.
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: But that was my one thing, and then my coworkers did surprise me and they got me a cake of my sink, which I thought I was in trouble.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: They were like, Amanda, can you come here?
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I have 12 minutes in between being off stage, so I just walked off stage.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: I know I have to be back in 12 minutes to introduce the next speaker, and my coworker is like, Can you follow me?
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: Can you come here?
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Okay, I'm slightly following along, and we go to the team office in the hotel venue, and everyone's sitting there, and they all look so solemn.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: I'm like, Am I in trouble?
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: Nobody's nobody has any facial expression on.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: I like straight up thought something horrible had happened, and then I come down the steps and I see the cake, and then I start well.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: That was nice, and then after that, the rest of the day was just like kind of basically.
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: Okay, but that's really special.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Damien had flowers for me.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, but honestly, like my favorite part about birthdays are all the birthday wishes.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: Like, I love getting the messages, they really do make my day, and I really it was a good reminder.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm also behind on answering messages because I went through the text messages.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: I have not been through the Instagram DMs, and seeing that many people reach out really just reconfirm how many people I have in my life and how many of them I really do consider near and dear my heart.
- 25:06SPEAKER_03: And that was it's so interesting because as you grow up, early on in your life, all you want is gifts because obviously you can't give yourself gifts.
- 25:16SPEAKER_03: So the element of surprise, the element of what do you want, your shoes, clothes, whatever.
- 25:21SPEAKER_03: I was actually thinking about this the other day.
- 25:23SPEAKER_03: It gets to a point where it's what can somebody give me that I can't really buy myself, and of course I want more things, but truly, if I really want it in a bag or sure or whatever, I can buy myself that, right?
- 25:33SPEAKER_03: And I remember back in the day when Facebook was popping and I would get like a hundred messages on Facebook.
- 25:38SPEAKER_03: If I'm lucky now, I get like two.
- 25:40SPEAKER_03: And my uncle.
- 25:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but it's like the first thing is Facebook.
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: But at the same, and then there was and then it kept the era of Instagram where people post about you and you repost stories, which is also kind of diminishing as we go by.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: Totally.
- 25:55SPEAKER_03: But now I think I really do love the messages.
- 26:00SPEAKER_03: It doesn't matter where it goes.
- 26:02SPEAKER_03: It goes, now you have to check seven different devices to make sure that you find all of your birthday wishes.
- 26:08SPEAKER_03: But text, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook message, I might be forgetting a few, but fills my world.
- 26:15SPEAKER_03: And then maybe people that I haven't talked for a while and then send me a text.
- 26:18SPEAKER_03: I feel like text is very meaningful just because for you to get on a text message, I feel it requires more effort than just responding to a story and saying happy birthday, which I made in my mission.
- 26:28SPEAKER_03: If you're really close to me, I'm not gonna respond to your story and put it on a message.
- 26:32SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna go into my text and send you a text.
- 26:34SPEAKER_03: And I think that's so cute.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: I even call people if I have their location too and I know that they're at home and about work, I'll forget to call them.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: If it's like middle of the day and I know that they're at work, but I definitely try to like leave a voice now, definitely text, and then if I can't, call them.
- 26:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's so crazy to me because I'm not well, lately I am more into calling, but I don't expect people to call me unless it's my boyfriend or my mom.
- 26:59SPEAKER_03: Realistically, I don't talk to anyone else on the phone.
- 27:02SPEAKER_03: And then I remember for my birthday this year, my friend Will and Brittany, they call me and I saw their name, and they never called me, so I saw their name and I was like, okay.
- 27:11SPEAKER_03: So I answered and they were like, they sing happy birthday to me.
- 27:14SPEAKER_03: And it was so special, yet such a foreign concept.
- 27:17SPEAKER_03: This is so crazy.
- 27:19SPEAKER_03: You guys call me.
- 27:20SPEAKER_03: So when you bring a call, it's taking it to the next level.
- 27:23SPEAKER_03: That's when you know you're the real one.
- 27:24SPEAKER_03: Also, if I answer the phone, because realistic sometimes I see somebody calls me, I don't know what to do.
- 27:29SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Too much.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I don't I almost always answer.
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: I was really bad for a while because I live with my phone on sideline and I never had it on a ringer.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: And then my boyfriend came out of me.
- 27:42SPEAKER_01: He was like, Or answer your phone.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Okay, okay.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: I under he was like, No, we're touching.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: If there was an emergency, I would not put you down for a contact.
- 27:51SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Oh, yeah, you know what?
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: Valid.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: So now my phone's on ringer.
- 27:55SPEAKER_03: Tell me why.
- 27:55SPEAKER_03: Okay, now we're moving through a different direction, but we go back to the birthdays.
- 27:59SPEAKER_03: When I was not dating my boyfriend, I used to always go to bed and put do not disturb.
- 28:05SPEAKER_03: I wouldn't I would die before I didn't put do not disturb.
- 28:09SPEAKER_03: And then like some days.
- 28:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, I loved it because nobody important is, but yeah, there's an emergency, they can call twice.
- 28:18SPEAKER_03: But who's got that kind of time when there's an emergency?
- 28:20SPEAKER_03: So I was like, no, my sleep is so important.
- 28:22SPEAKER_03: And then I started dating my boyfriend, and then I remember sometimes he would put it on do not disturb, and I would be so unwell.
- 28:29SPEAKER_03: Excuse me?
- 28:30SPEAKER_03: No, I hate saying the do not disturb.
- 28:32SPEAKER_03: I can't reach you.
- 28:33SPEAKER_03: And he's like, Well, you put it on do not disturb at nighttime.
- 28:36SPEAKER_03: I can't reach you.
- 28:36SPEAKER_03: And I okay, listen.
- 28:38SPEAKER_03: So then we came to the agreement that no more do not disturb unless I'm doing this podcast.
- 28:43SPEAKER_03: When I put it on this podcast, I text him and I'm gonna be recording it's in do not disturb because then we both were so unwell about the do not disturb buying.
- 28:51SPEAKER_03: And so I am done with that habit, which was a good one because you don't get notifications at nighttime, which is really nice.
- 28:59SPEAKER_03: This is what happens when you get in a relationship, things change.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I love do not disturb for nighttime.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: Like when I'm asleep, don't bother me.
- 29:08SPEAKER_03: But you and Lauren, yes, you and Lauren put it put it on do not disturb.
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: And I'm an automatic timer, it goes on at 9 p.m.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: And it for my sleep schedule, it's 9 to 5:30 or 9 to 6.30, depending on if I have work that day.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: I wake up at 5.25 and start work at 5:30.
- 29:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: So yeah, and then for weekends, I usually just put it on do not disturb.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: So it stays on from 9 until I wake up in the morning.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, which is still like 6:30.
- 29:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because you are an early bird.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: Benny likes to wake me up because it's time to hang out.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: This morning he let me sleep until 7:15.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: It was actually like 7.12.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: And then he started to scratch the carpet to get his ball underneath the dresser, even though there was no ball.
- 29:59SPEAKER_01: So we're laying in bed and we're like, what is he doing?
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he just needed to get up, move us up.
- 30:04SPEAKER_01: We were gone.
- 30:04SPEAKER_03: We're like an idiot boy, you know, he needed and what's very needy.
- 30:08SPEAKER_03: Do you know what I'd say though?
- 30:10SPEAKER_03: The kicker is when your friends have it on do not disturb and you text them, and then they text you back.
- 30:17SPEAKER_03: That hits different.
- 30:18SPEAKER_03: Because I sometimes don't, oh Amanda's on do not disturb, but I'm still gonna send this sex.
- 30:22SPEAKER_03: It's kind of a risky move because I'm probably not gonna hear from and you respond back.
- 30:26SPEAKER_03: Hey, this is so cool.
- 30:27SPEAKER_03: And then Lauren does the same thing too, the same thing.
- 30:30SPEAKER_03: So I appreciate for you guys prioritizing texting back when you're not on the not disturb.
- 30:36SPEAKER_03: Well, I love the updates, and I know you're going into this vacation, which we need to sit down and debrief when you come back from your vacation because I cannot wait until you hear back with many updates.
- 30:49SPEAKER_03: But I also feel like this is a good time for us to also address that the end of the year is fast approaching.
- 30:58SPEAKER_03: I keep saying that there's three months left, and I know wait, literally, this is November's next week.
- 31:03SPEAKER_03: So we really have no time.
- 31:04SPEAKER_03: We're rushing into the end line of 2026.
- 31:07SPEAKER_03: I literally feel it's January still.
- 31:09SPEAKER_03: And so I don't know, I think it would be a cool moment to stand still and do a little discussion on check in how is our 2026?
- 31:19SPEAKER_03: Is it everything that we wanted it to be?
- 31:22SPEAKER_03: And start setting up what we want to do the next couple of months to lock in and end the year in the best possible way that you can.
- 31:31SPEAKER_03: And also, what are some 2027 things that we're looking forward to?
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: So before we go into those questions, I was just thinking, so I know like people do New Year's resolutions, like part of our questions that we're about to kind of go through are kind of like similar to that, right?
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: But what I always do, because I don't really do a New Year's resolution, and I do have to share this with you because I just did have my birthday.
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: Every year I think about what I want to take forward into the next and what I want to leave behind.
- 32:01SPEAKER_01: And I do that on my birthday.
- 32:02SPEAKER_01: And I had a friend ask me that question years ago, and I naturally kind of think about it, but I think that's a really nice way to reflect on your birthday and to look at what it is that you want to take into the next year of your life and and what you don't.
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: And it's kind of the same thing with you know going into the new year.
- 32:21SPEAKER_03: Completely agree.
- 32:23SPEAKER_03: I think for the new years, I do like to celebrate sort of like marking the end of a year and starting a new year fresh.
- 32:29SPEAKER_03: I do feel our new year's is our birthday because on your birthday, some people take it off.
- 32:35SPEAKER_03: I feel very special that day.
- 32:37SPEAKER_03: It's the one day that you're okay, this is a little bit about me, and people are really just thinking of me, and so I want to make it about myself.
- 32:43SPEAKER_03: I always say on that day, I try to prioritize on doing things that make me happy and what I want to see for the year for that year for me.
- 32:52SPEAKER_03: So I love doing that and doing a check-in.
- 32:54SPEAKER_03: I talk about this on my YouTube.
- 32:56SPEAKER_03: I do like a check-in on different pillars.
- 32:58SPEAKER_03: Where's my finance?
- 32:59SPEAKER_03: Where's my love like?
- 33:00SPEAKER_03: Where are my friends?
- 33:01SPEAKER_03: How's my wellness?
- 33:02SPEAKER_03: How's my health?
- 33:03SPEAKER_03: All of these little pillars in your life that make your life whole and make it feel it's meaningful.
- 33:11SPEAKER_03: So I think that is actually really cool because it's your own little New Year's.
- 33:16SPEAKER_03: And I also don't like New Year's resolution because I find it a little bit of an excuse to not do the things that you need to get done and where you want to be.
- 33:27SPEAKER_03: You don't have to wait for December 31st to start somewhere.
- 33:32SPEAKER_03: Maybe for some people it works, but for me is if you want to do it, just start now.
- 33:35SPEAKER_03: The moment is to get it done now.
- 33:37SPEAKER_03: And if you're not starting now, you're not starting New Year's, you're not starting ever.
- 33:40SPEAKER_03: So I do like the meaning of I think that momentum where everyone is, oh, the nostalgia of the new year and all of that.
- 33:48SPEAKER_03: But if it comes down to actually taking action of the things that you want to do for your life, I think you can make your new year's resolution any day of the year.
- 33:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I agree.
- 34:00SPEAKER_03: So let's normalize that.
- 34:03SPEAKER_03: Okay, so let's jump.
- 34:05SPEAKER_03: Any other updates?
- 34:06SPEAKER_03: We kind of wanted to do this episode of updates.
- 34:08SPEAKER_03: We haven't talked to each other for a while.
- 34:10SPEAKER_03: Sometimes I stop texting you because I want to save things for the pot and the gossip and all of that, but I don't think I have anything else on my end.
- 34:19SPEAKER_03: I know you asked me if I have any plans to go to Hawaii, which I thought I didn't, but it turns out I might be going actually Veterans Day.
- 34:28SPEAKER_03: Because Veterans Day is like a Wednesday, and so it's a good opportunity, like it breaks the week in half, so I can just get a couple of days off and make it that a five-day trip.
- 34:38SPEAKER_03: I'm still doing that, so I might be going to Hawaii in mid-November.
- 34:42SPEAKER_03: And I think that will be my last time to go to Hawaii until next year, and we'll see where we're at next year, which we'll get into.
- 34:50SPEAKER_03: But I think that's all of my updates for now.
- 34:53SPEAKER_03: Do you have anything else that we need to know?
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: Or I think some of the stuff that update-wise, I mean, for the last month, I've just been traveling for work, but you know, I have I have two really big trips coming up.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: Leaving the country, two different places.
- 35:08SPEAKER_01: So we're going tropical and then we're going to Asia.
- 35:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:11SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be the first trip, it's going to be relaxing.
- 35:14SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna be on a beach living my best life, probably not getting very chant because it is November, but we're gonna just be enjoying and on the trip.
- 35:24SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna be refreshing that story a lot.
- 35:27SPEAKER_03: And I really hope you don't do what I did, which is not posting.
- 35:30SPEAKER_03: Like I hope there's posting so I can keep up with that.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: I'm trying not to get into my head about certain things.
- 35:39SPEAKER_03: Okay, you know, if you know what you mean.
- 35:40SPEAKER_03: I know what you mean.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: If you know you and then if you if you know you know, and then after that, and that's a big family trip, so my entire family will be there, and then after that, we're doing Vietnam, and that one's like a go-go trip.
- 35:52SPEAKER_01: We're gonna be spending like a max of four days in different cities, but I think in total, I accidentally I went from three cities in full days to five in 12 days, so we are going to be on the move, but I'm really excited.
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: I've never been to Asia.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: I have almost everything, but that is the type B in me waiting for I think less than a month now.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: They still don't have a couple days, but yeah, that's a little type B of me, but it doesn't matter though.
- 36:20SPEAKER_03: I feel like you gotta overbook yourself because you never know when you're gonna find yourself there again, or if you ever will be there again.
- 36:27SPEAKER_03: So you might as well just get everything that you can do.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: It is a 20-something hour travel day, and for someone who has really bad flight anxiety, especially as of late, I don't know what I'm gonna do on those planes, but we're gonna empower to my doctor.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: I went to the doctor's the other day.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: Like, have you ever reading distracts me, but I went to the doctor's physicals.
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: I love a physical, go get your physical.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: But she knows to have flight anxiety, and she was like, but you still get on the plane.
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: I'm like, yeah, I just tried to get a lot of things.
- 36:59SPEAKER_03: You know what's really interesting though?
- 37:01SPEAKER_03: Because exposure therapy, it's about okay, if you have fear of spiders, then you get spiders and like it's exposure.
- 37:08SPEAKER_03: For me, um, how are you getting on airplanes this much and still not sourcing what the problem of the airplane is?
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: I try to clear my mind.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: My problem is once I'm on the plane, I become hyper-aware of sounds, uh, motion, of all of that, and I start scanning my surroundings if I'm trying to detect threats or find threats that aren't there.
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: So when I'm not on the plane, it doesn't really get into my head.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: I just kind of know that that might happen and try not to think about it.
- 37:39SPEAKER_01: And then once I'm on the plane and it takes off, that's what happens.
- 37:43SPEAKER_03: Can I share something that I've been experiencing, I've been noticing lately too?
- 37:47SPEAKER_03: I actually get the opposite.
- 37:49SPEAKER_03: I feel the anticipation of the trip gets me stressed in inches, and I'm like a whole process of packing up, going into the airplane, all of that is a whole thing that you have to be on your game to be able to make it happen.
- 38:03SPEAKER_03: And we're working, so I'm packing two hours before we I get on the airplane, like all of those things, and I start getting inside, like, oh my god, I I'm so stressed, and I start thinking about the anxiety of the plane.
- 38:14SPEAKER_03: But a weird thing happens once I'm sitting before I like go on the plane, anxiety completely just dissipates, and I'm chill.
- 38:23SPEAKER_03: And I get on the plane, I'm actually enjoying this, I watch a movie.
- 38:26SPEAKER_03: I just recently learned that you're not supposed to eat on an airplane because you're so bloated and the pressure is really bad for you.
- 38:32SPEAKER_03: So, unless it's a five plus airplane flight, you shouldn't eat.
- 38:37SPEAKER_03: But before, oh, snacks, movies.
- 38:40SPEAKER_03: I was living because I don't have my phone, I don't have anything.
- 38:43SPEAKER_03: It's the only time where I kind of have the moment for myself, they're just movies and not distractions.
- 38:47SPEAKER_03: But now I'm okay.
- 38:48SPEAKER_03: Well, no snacks, but I'll still watch movies and I really enjoy it.
- 38:53SPEAKER_03: It's really fun for me to be there.
- 38:56SPEAKER_03: And now I have movies all the time.
- 38:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm not.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: I don't get anxiety though, leading up to flight your anxiety about the packing and all that stuff.
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: Maybe that's exposure therapy, but I have everything ready to go in travel bags.
- 39:11SPEAKER_01: I have my toiletry bag that is just a travel bag, and I have my shampooings and stuff that are again just travel, and my makeup's always in a bag.
- 39:19SPEAKER_01: So for me, it's very pick up and move, pick up and move.
- 39:22SPEAKER_01: And I just do that every week.
- 39:24SPEAKER_03: It's one of those things where you love driving until driving becomes your commute, or you love doing something until it becomes your job.
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: So maybe if in the letting you have a fun trip goes and like if that changes, different because you're like, I'm not thinking about work.
- 39:42SPEAKER_03: I'm with and also it helps that you're with your boyfriend in the plane.
- 39:45SPEAKER_03: If it's anything like my situation, having my boyfriend around me, I'm chilling.
- 39:50SPEAKER_03: And so hopefully that gives you a little bit of of that, but more to that later on.
- 39:54SPEAKER_03: So let's get into the questions.
- 39:56SPEAKER_03: So I'm gonna start, it's only four questions.
- 39:58SPEAKER_03: What's one thing you promised yourself at the beginning of 2026 that you haven't followed through on yet?
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 40:05SPEAKER_01: That's kind of what's actually you're saying about was New Year's resolutions and to not wait to start certain things.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: I don't really feel there's anything that I haven't followed the room yet on.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: There's some things that I would like to change, but I really can't given how my life is with work.
- 40:22SPEAKER_01: Like I can't establish certain routines or I don't really have the time to do certain things that I would like to do more of.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: So maybe that I would love to actually have a proper hobby.
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: But there's nothing that I thought most of the things I thought about for this year, I thought, okay, I'm just gonna like start it and do it.
- 40:40SPEAKER_01: How about you, Zarmy thing?
- 40:42SPEAKER_03: I think well, it's no news, I need to get a new job, but I think that became clear towards the midst of this year, so that wasn't more recent.
- 40:51SPEAKER_03: So that's something that is definitely on the priority list of 2027.
- 40:56SPEAKER_03: But other than that, I feel a huge project for me was this podcast, which I think from last year to this year, I've been looking at our content and what we talk and our engagement, all that.
- 41:07SPEAKER_03: It's become more of a process and more okay, wait, it looks like we know what we're doing now, like it looks pretty cool.
- 41:14SPEAKER_03: I'm venturing into more obviously the promotion of the podcast is very important, so I've been finding new avenues to promote, and I'm getting more comfortable doing that.
- 41:26SPEAKER_03: I still have to do more talk to the camera things, but I think that's gonna be a 2027 thing.
- 41:31SPEAKER_03: It's just really hard, and for me still to be able to get comfortable in that space, but when it comes to writing and content and all of that, I feel I'm actually having more creative ideas on how to continue pushing forward.
- 41:45SPEAKER_03: So I think that was a massive growth this year, and in terms of like I said, I always do all my pillars and nutrition, all of that.
- 41:54SPEAKER_03: So I think that is still good.
- 41:56SPEAKER_03: I just think that next year I'm gonna need a big push in terms of my career and being able to move with my boyfriend, so I think that's gonna be a priority.
- 42:04SPEAKER_03: But this year I'm very happy where I'm at.
- 42:06SPEAKER_03: I love doing this because I just started reflecting.
- 42:09SPEAKER_03: I think I have grown more in the creative space and how I want to grow into that world, which is really fun.
- 42:15SPEAKER_03: I'm just locking in for the last two months and try to enjoy it too.
- 42:20SPEAKER_03: I always say seasons come and slap me in the face, it doesn't happen gradually, everyone is already ahead of me, and then I'm like, oh my god, it's sweater weather.
- 42:29SPEAKER_03: Now we have to get, but then I get into the cozy vibes, and I'm like, no, I'm like vibing, I like this.
- 42:33SPEAKER_03: Nothing major, but I do think that next year is gonna be a lot of transition and big changes coming up, and hopefully keep growing this podcast.
- 42:42SPEAKER_03: So that's sad.
- 42:43SPEAKER_03: Okay, now you do the second question.
- 42:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so you mentioned locking in, and because they only have a couple months here until the end of the year, what do you think is one thing that will make you feel like you've ended this year with your own terms or one final thing that you really want to accomplish?
- 43:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so for that, I have to get real with myself as to what is really in my power to do the rest of the year and what is the problems of 2027.
- 43:11SPEAKER_03: And that is, for instance, I was really honing on interviewing and applying and all of that.
- 43:17SPEAKER_03: And realistically, I think I don't want to waste my energy in the last two months because I don't think it's gonna happen.
- 43:23SPEAKER_03: Companies are winding down, they're closing their fiscal year.
- 43:27SPEAKER_03: I don't wanna just swim against the current as much as I want to be proactive and do that.
- 43:34SPEAKER_03: I do have to be patient and wait until the right time.
- 43:37SPEAKER_03: So that's one, what not to do.
- 43:39SPEAKER_03: And then the second thing is we've worked hard this year, and I feel like days go by, months go by, and you keep okay, I need to do this, I need to do this.
- 43:47SPEAKER_03: I think it's important these two months when things slow down and events with family and people come in to focus on really enjoying those moments, winding down.
- 44:00SPEAKER_03: of things so I want to keep my routine in terms of waking up and doing my workout and working and all of that.
- 44:10SPEAKER_03: But I want to focus on quality time with people.
- 44:15SPEAKER_03: My family gets together on December.
- 44:18SPEAKER_03: Hopefully I get to see my boyfriend and just I think focusing on closing the year and being grateful, sorting through the things that I can't no longer do for the year, finding peace in that.
- 44:30SPEAKER_03: I think that's what I'm gonna focus on.
- 44:32SPEAKER_03: What about you?
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: I think I have a similar approach too I was saying about that earlier with the control piece.
- 44:37SPEAKER_01: Because you're right, there's certain things that are just out of our control with the remainder of the year.
- 44:42SPEAKER_01: And we also can't force some of those things to happen.
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: But for me, yeah I think the one thing that I would like to do before the end of the year and it's not exactly one thing, but there's a few decisions that I think I need to make for myself.
- 44:57SPEAKER_01: There's a few things I've been mulling over and the one thing would be getting the answers I need on those things.
- 45:04SPEAKER_01: And there are they're really only things that I can decide for myself but it's been on my mind and I think it would be ideal for me to finalize what I'm going to do by the end of the year.
- 45:15SPEAKER_03: Oh I'm excited to find out more once there's more updates.
- 45:20SPEAKER_03: Okay let's see number three what's one habit mindset or version of yours while you're ready to leave on 2026.
- 45:26SPEAKER_01: This is so funny because this goes back to the birthday thing where like what's one thing I want to leave behind and because I literally have my birthday days ago it's cut a shop online and I actually have a more exciting trying to figure out what it is I really want to leave behind.
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: And honestly I want to use my phone less.
- 45:42SPEAKER_01: It's free my wrist I feel like I'm getting purple tunnel or something.
- 45:46SPEAKER_01: Oh my God but but if I have like one habit that I want to leave behind it is I want to do less mindless scrolling because it's not beneficial to me.
- 45:56SPEAKER_01: How about you?
- 45:58SPEAKER_03: I need to live behind my insecurity of pursuing my vision because I think even when I started with this podcast yeah but it's because when I started this podcast there is always this side of you feel nervous it's truly the people that you know it's oh how are people gonna judge me about this when it's not just corporate related and I've been reading a lot about this when it's not like oh you're doing great job you have no time because you're busy and you're being practical that is celebrated right but when you're trying to get out of your comfort zone and go for something that is personal to you you're hit with so many insecurities it's most likely not coming from anyone else but really just you judging yourself thinking that other people are gonna judge you.
- 46:44SPEAKER_03: This past couple of months I've been just being like you know what this is what I feel that I need to do to my core I am gonna drop that YouTube video.
- 46:54SPEAKER_03: I am gonna open this upsack and start doing articles.
- 46:56SPEAKER_03: I feel so good doing that and then there's moments of insecurity that comes in I start judging myself the truth is it makes me so happy I shouldn't let those thoughts stop me.
- 47:08SPEAKER_03: Because what if you have a vision of something that exists in the future that only you can see and people won't celebrate you until you're successful on that.
- 47:17SPEAKER_03: That is the reality of the situation.
- 47:19SPEAKER_03: So if I wait on people to accept me when I'm building something up it's never gonna get done.
- 47:26SPEAKER_03: If I just lean on what I want and what makes me happy and what I feel that is the right path I have to accept that people are gonna judge me and that people are probably not gonna be into it.
- 47:36SPEAKER_03: It's not like I had negative feedback it's just that it's very vulnerable.
- 47:40SPEAKER_03: I need to leave that behind and just lean in and not look back.
- 47:44SPEAKER_03: So that's what I'm leaning in 2026.
- 47:46SPEAKER_03: I jump on this train and I'm not looking back and we're just gonna get better and hopefully bigger.
- 47:52SPEAKER_01: Question okay go all right so it's gonna be New Year's Eve.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: What do you think you're going to really heavily reflect on over the last couple months or year that's gonna make you like feel very accomplished.
- 48:06SPEAKER_03: I think growing into my self because I don't know if this is collectively or just personally but I do think I am very dependable of others.
- 48:18SPEAKER_03: I have a very close relationship with my mom.
- 48:20SPEAKER_03: I have a very close relationship with my friends or my boyfriend.
- 48:24SPEAKER_03: But at some point in life and it's not to be individualistic it's more so if all else fails right if people don't happen to be around you anymore what's left is you and I think that I'm starting to build in honey like that security of no matter what happens I'm gonna be okay because I am holding the key to my life and I'm driving this train and whoever wants to be in it or doesn't it will not affect me.
- 48:54SPEAKER_03: Of course things happen ups and downs and you're human things are gonna hurt or feel a different type of way but I do feel that especially recently even your mom people that you really love that are with you really close sometimes they're not gonna agree with you and that doesn't make them wrong and that doesn't make me wrong.
- 49:17SPEAKER_03: It's just that it's different.
- 49:19SPEAKER_03: So I need to just lean into what I know is good for myself and be more independent in that way.
- 49:27SPEAKER_03: Not to be individualistic but I do have to be more independent in my own life and make decisions based on what I need even though the people that love me around me won't necessarily agree with all of them.
- 49:41SPEAKER_03: What about you?
- 49:42SPEAKER_01: For me it's going to be knowing that I've closed the year out putting the foundation the place I need to have a more successful next year.
- 49:52SPEAKER_01: So it kind of even goes back to the answers for your first three questions here making those final decisions that I need to make for myself finding ways to add in more time for the hobbies but also just knowing that as I come into the next year that I'm happy with who I am and where I'm going and how I'm growing.
- 50:12SPEAKER_03: So the conclusion of this episode is I think big things are coming next year.
- 50:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah I I feel that for both of us like I feel cheering and and I I feel it for you and I know that you and I are both looking at what's next and where we want to go and where we want to be and you know just all of that.
- 50:33SPEAKER_01: So I think that a lot of change is coming.
- 50:36SPEAKER_03: I know for you as well and we'll debrief that later but also I've been anticipating this change in my life of moving in with my boyfriend moving or whatever.
- 50:47SPEAKER_03: But I do think it's coming next year actually happening and I think that's gonna be my biggest change yet.
- 50:57SPEAKER_03: So we've been anticipating and talking about it a lot but I think it's becoming very real this is gonna be big.
- 51:03SPEAKER_03: So I think I think it's gonna be exciting I think next year is gonna be fun but we'll we'll get us to enjoy the now and what we have and until then yeah we'll keep catching everyone up with it.
- 51:16SPEAKER_03: So with that Laura I'm too rusty and you gotta do it.
- 51:21SPEAKER_01: Alright so it's gonna be New Year's Eve.
- 51:23SPEAKER_01: What do you think you're going to really heavily reflect on over the last couple months or year that's gonna make you like feel very accomplished I think growing into my self because I do think that and I don't know if this is collectively or just personally but I do think I am very dependable of others.
- 51:49SPEAKER_03: I have a very close relationship with my mom I have a very close relationship with my friends or my boyfriend.
- 51:55SPEAKER_03: But at some point in life and it's not to be individualistic it's more so like if all else fails right if people don't happen to be around you anymore what's left is you and I think that I'm starting to build and hone in like that security of no matter what happens I'm gonna be okay because I am holding the key to my life and I'm driving this train whoever wants to be in it or doesn't it will not affect me.
- 52:25SPEAKER_03: Of course things happen ups and downs and you're human things are gonna hurt or feel a different type of way.
- 52:32SPEAKER_03: Especially recently won't necessarily agree with all of them.
- 52:37SPEAKER_03: What about you?
- 52:38SPEAKER_01: For me it's going to be knowing that I've closed the year out putting the foundation the place that I need to have a more successful next year.
- 52:48SPEAKER_01: So it kind of even goes back to the answers for your first three questions here making those final decisions that I need to make for myself finding ways to add in more time for the hobbies but also just knowing that as I come into the next year that I'm happy with who I am and where I'm going and how I'm growing.
- 53:08SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 53:09SPEAKER_03: So the conclusion of this episode is I think big things are coming next year.
- 53:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah I I feel that for both of us like I feel like cheering and I feel it for you and I know that you and I are both looking at what's next and where we want to go and where we want to be and you know just all of that.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: So I think that a lot of change is coming.
- 53:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah I know for you as well and we'll debrief that later but also I've been anticipating this change in my life of moving in with my boyfriend moving or whatever.
- 53:42SPEAKER_03: But I do think it's coming next year actually happening and I think that's gonna be my biggest change yet.
- 53:50SPEAKER_03: We've been anticipating and talking about it a lot but I think it's becoming very real this is gonna be big.
- 53:55SPEAKER_03: So I think I think it's gonna be exciting I think next year is gonna be fun but we'll we'll get us to enjoy the now and what we have and until then we'll keep catching everyone up with it.
- 54:08SPEAKER_01: So with that Laura with that I'm trying you gotta do it.
- 54:14SPEAKER_03: You made it to you I love this episode thank you.
- 54:16SPEAKER_03: We just want to do a little catch up this really was for nobody in particular but just two girls two best friends catching up and people are talking about the great Loken in October so I didn't necessarily want to get okay this is what we're doing and be super strict but to check in and see where we're at the energy that we're gonna put for the rest of 2026.
- 54:37SPEAKER_03: If you are in any of those in-betweens or having those conversations with your friends or even just thinking that alone you're not going through it by yourself right here.
- 54:48SPEAKER_03: I want this conversion to feel warm and cozy and all vibes so if you liked it share with your friends leave us a comment connect with us on the show notes I am feeling better at linking everything that we talk about on the show notes in case you guys want to read about it, resources and all of that.
- 55:10SPEAKER_03: So connect with us we are building up a community I don't know what Amanda's plan is for next year but hopefully we're gonna continue growing this and as we go along I just want to continue building up this community and just really making friends here.
- 55:27SPEAKER_03: I want it to be a safe space for all the girls that want to be part of it.
- 55:32SPEAKER_03: And until then I hope you guys have a good week and we'll talk to you guys next week.
- 55:37SPEAKER_03: See you guys next week.
- 55:38SPEAKER_03: Bye
