- 1:19So let's kick this off because we have
- 1:21an amazing show, as we always do.
- 1:23You know that.
- 1:24This is Inspiration to Your Life, and we're
- 1:27talking this week about owning your path, your
- 1:29clarity, your courage, and the boundaries for, of
- 1:32course, peak living.
- 1:34I've always said you can either survive or
- 1:36you can thrive, right?
- 1:38All right.
- 1:39So this is Inspiration to Your Life.
- 1:41Oh, who am I?
- 1:42Sure.
- 1:42I'm John C.
- 1:43Morley, serial entrepreneur.
- 1:45I'm an engineer, marketing specialist, video producer, podcast
- 1:48host, coach, keynote speaker, graduate student, passionate lifelong
- 1:52learner, and yes, guys, pretty soon I will
- 1:54be a published author.
- 1:55Really excited about that.
- 1:57Yes, I'm now on, well, I've just completed
- 2:00Chapter 10.
- 2:01I'll be starting, I believe, Chapter 11 very
- 2:04soon.
- 2:04The book's either going to be 12 or
- 2:0614 chapters.
- 2:07And so the last two chapters are probably
- 2:11going to talk about some interesting things.
- 2:13One of them I think is going to
- 2:14actually talk about a day in the life
- 2:16with me, which I think will be really
- 2:18not only inspirational, but also educational.
- 2:20So I'm really excited to do that.
- 2:22And then somewhere around June, we will have
- 2:24our book tour, and we'll have some signings
- 2:27at local libraries, and hopefully we'll be in
- 2:29an area near you.
- 2:30Probably by the end of next year, we'll
- 2:32be reaching a lot of the major parts
- 2:34of the United States.
- 2:35Another book is coming out, by the way,
- 2:37too.
- 2:37Next year, I'll be writing an AI book.
- 2:41So today's episode, yes, today's episode, it focuses
- 2:44on something that a lot of us miss.
- 2:46That's discipline, that's integrity, and it's alignment.
- 2:50I actually run a group, and in the
- 2:52group, we have something, we call it Friendship
- 2:54First Integrity Always.
- 2:56And I think that's an important thing because
- 2:58most people connect with other people because of
- 3:01what they can do for them, but not
- 3:02for the friendship.
- 3:03And I think that's an important thing that
- 3:04a lot of people in our world miss.
- 3:06And it seems to be lost after grammar
- 3:11school.
- 3:11I remember my very first friend, actually, I
- 3:15think it was in, I think it might
- 3:17even be pre-K, his name was John,
- 3:20and his last name started with P.
- 3:23And we were great friends, but you know,
- 3:24things break away.
- 3:25But we understood friendship back then.
- 3:28And a lot of people miss that.
- 3:30And they lose the bonds of friendship because
- 3:33of, well, things in our universe, materialistic things,
- 3:36et cetera.
- 3:37And that is sad that that happens.
- 3:39So integrity and alignment, and building personal power
- 3:43through consistent effort, staying true to your values
- 3:46and aligning actions with your goals, that's what
- 3:49we're talking about today.
- 3:50This is Discipline and Integrity Alignment, Series 5,
- 3:54Show 9, Episode 6.
- 3:55That means, guys, we're on the year, over
- 3:56four years, and we're in our fifth year,
- 3:59and we're about to hit our third month
- 4:01in our fifth year.
- 4:02That's pretty exciting.
- 4:04Discipline ensures follow-through on commitments.
- 4:07Your actions build trust in yourself and others,
- 4:09number one.
- 4:10Number two, guys, integrity grows quietly through consistent
- 4:15action.
- 4:16Let your behavior define your reputation.
- 4:20That's an important one, guys.
- 4:22Let it define your reputation.
- 4:24Number three, alignment of values and actions creates
- 4:29peace of mind, reducing internal conflict and stress.
- 4:33Number four, avoid forbidden compromises that erode credibility.
- 4:40Protect your personal and your professional reputation.
- 4:43I think sometimes people go for that short
- 4:46-term gratification.
- 4:47And it has a potential, like I said,
- 4:50eroding trust, breaking bridges.
- 4:52And you might say, gee, John, if I
- 4:54break a bridge, I can fix it.
- 4:55Well, not always.
- 4:56It depends how bad you actually damage the
- 5:00trust.
- 5:01Number five, discipline strengthens focus, even when motivation
- 5:06fades, ensuring progress continues steadily.
- 5:11Integrity protects long-term reputation.
- 5:15Consistency over time compounds respect and influence.
- 5:19That's a big one that a lot of
- 5:20people, I think, miss.
- 5:22Number seven, alignment simplifies complex decisions by keeping
- 5:27choices consistent with your core values.
- 5:31Now, your core values might shift a little
- 5:34bit, and that's normal.
- 5:35But they shouldn't majorly change, okay?
- 5:39They may shift just a little bit.
- 5:41Number eight, small disciplined actions create compounding results.
- 5:48Daily habits produce exponential gains.
- 5:51You know, you might say, gee, I'm doing
- 5:53this habit every day, but it's not doing
- 5:55anything for me.
- 5:56Well, don't look at it as something it's
- 5:57doing.
- 5:58Look at it as a habit.
- 5:59And when it pays back, as long as
- 6:03it's something minor or small, that can be
- 6:06something as simple as reaching out to people
- 6:08on LinkedIn with a potential hello or some
- 6:10type of, not an offer, but more of
- 6:13an inquiry, all right?
- 6:14And I don't mean flooding with 50 or
- 6:16100 of them.
- 6:17I mean like doing one or two a
- 6:18day.
- 6:20And I think being non-salesy and just
- 6:22wanting to have a conversation with someone is
- 6:25a great way to get things started, all
- 6:27right?
- 6:28Number nine, avoid shortcuts that violate principles or
- 6:32ethics.
- 6:33Integrity beats convenience every time.
- 6:34I've said this another way, but we're saying
- 6:36it a different way.
- 6:38Just because of convenience, don't let your integrity
- 6:41suffer.
- 6:43And a lot of people I know will
- 6:45do that because they figure, well, it's easier,
- 6:48it's not going to be difficult.
- 6:52It's going to be comfortable to just skip
- 6:56ahead.
- 6:57I used this example yesterday when I was
- 6:59talking about sailing and being very ethical about
- 7:02racing.
- 7:03And when I started racing, back when I
- 7:06was single digits, I think I started sailing
- 7:09when I was like six or seven.
- 7:10I think I started racing by the time
- 7:12I was maybe eight or nine.
- 7:15And what I mean by that is I
- 7:16started crewing by that time.
- 7:18And then within a year after that, I
- 7:19became my own skipper.
- 7:20The reason I became my own skipper is
- 7:22because when I would get on the boat,
- 7:24I would have a superficial, egotistical, jerk guy
- 7:29that pretty much didn't care about my effort
- 7:33or my help.
- 7:33He cared about my weight.
- 7:35And for him, it wasn't about the personality.
- 7:38It was just about what I could do
- 7:40to help him win.
- 7:42And I don't mean so much in my
- 7:43skills.
- 7:44He just cared about my weight so that
- 7:46my weight would be the lightest and stuff
- 7:48like that.
- 7:48And a lot of these people, I thought
- 7:52they'd be good mentors, but they weren't.
- 7:55I was on a boat with a skipper,
- 7:58we call it a skipper, and I was
- 7:59a crew.
- 8:00And the crew usually worked on the main
- 8:02sheet, which is basically laying the sail out
- 8:04and putting it in and things like that.
- 8:05And the skipper worked on the rudder, we
- 8:08call it the tiller.
- 8:11And also, the crew and myself would actually
- 8:15hike, lean out a little bit, something they
- 8:17tell me, sit different places depending on differentiating
- 8:19the weight.
- 8:20So I remember us in a race, and
- 8:23I remember us going by a buoy.
- 8:26And as I said to you, I remember
- 8:28the time when we hit the buoy.
- 8:33And as I told you the story before,
- 8:34we hit the buoy and he wasn't going
- 8:36to re-round it.
- 8:37I mentioned to him, he told me to
- 8:38be quiet.
- 8:39In other words, he used some other four
- 8:40-letter words, which I'm not going to repeat.
- 8:42But he was just really egotistical about winning,
- 8:45even if it was the wrong way.
- 8:49So I didn't say anything.
- 8:51Another boat comes by, they call him on
- 8:53it.
- 8:53Second boat comes by, third boat comes by,
- 8:55and they say they're going to protest.
- 8:56Now let me explain what protest means.
- 8:57Protest means that when we get back to
- 9:00shore, they're going to say that this boat,
- 9:05this sail, we have a sail number.
- 9:06I still remember my number, 61542.
- 9:09Isn't that funny how I remember my sail
- 9:10number?
- 9:11I still remember my sail number.
- 9:15And I remember that I was on, again,
- 9:20I was on somebody else's boat.
- 9:23At that time, I had only been sailing
- 9:24for a little while.
- 9:28And I thought it was going to be
- 9:29a great learning experience.
- 9:30Not really.
- 9:33So some of these people, when they say
- 9:36they're going to protest, it's not a threat.
- 9:38They're going to do it.
- 9:39And so other people will just protest and
- 9:43not tell you.
- 9:43Now, if they would have done that, my
- 9:47skipper would probably have just chucked it off
- 9:50and said he didn't hit the buoy.
- 9:53But there were three witnesses.
- 9:55So I guess what I'm saying is that
- 9:57sometimes you find somebody older than you and
- 10:00you think they're a good mentor, but really
- 10:01they're just trying to go through the motions
- 10:04and they're trying to skip integrity.
- 10:06And I think when we skip integrity in
- 10:08life, we cheat ourselves and not just others.
- 10:11That's a big, important thing.
- 10:13Number 10, discipline reinforces habits that drive success,
- 10:18making excellence repeatable and reliable.
- 10:21That's the whole thing, right?
- 10:22We want to make things repeatable and reliable
- 10:26in our life, in our businesses, in our
- 10:29personal lives.
- 10:30I think that's really key.
- 10:31Number 11, integrity grows quietly through consistent action,
- 10:36showing strength without boosting or boasting yourself.
- 10:41So I think that's important.
- 10:42A lot of people want to have this
- 10:43big ego.
- 10:45It's the one that walks softly, that doesn't
- 10:49need to brag.
- 10:51Number 12, alignment directs energy toward meaningful goals,
- 10:56reducing wasted effort and distraction.
- 11:00Number 13, avoid forbidden temptations that distract you
- 11:05from the priorities.
- 11:06Guard your attention like it is gold, guys,
- 11:10like it is gold.
- 11:13I think that's an important thing that a
- 11:14lot of people miss.
- 11:17I'll give an example.
- 11:19So a lot of people on systems like
- 11:27LinkedIn, Facebook, et cetera, and sometimes you send
- 11:29them a connection request, right?
- 11:30And sometimes you may have something in common.
- 11:32But then what we find out is that
- 11:36they're really not looking to build connection for
- 11:41friendship.
- 11:42They're looking to build it to say, hey,
- 11:44what can you do for me?
- 11:46What can I do for you?
- 11:47How can I, I don't use the word
- 11:48exploit you, but how can I sell you?
- 11:51And that's pretty bad.
- 11:52But a lot of people do that.
- 11:53That's also the difference between integrity and non
- 11:57-integrity.
- 11:58Number 14, discipline provides freedom through structure.
- 12:04Organized effort creates liberty to innovate.
- 12:06And I think that's one that a lot
- 12:08of people miss.
- 12:09Number 15, integrity guides choices when no one
- 12:13is watching.
- 12:14Proven character is consistent.
- 12:17I said this before, and I used this
- 12:19example a few months ago, and I've said
- 12:20it a couple of times.
- 12:21There was a commercial on TV, and they
- 12:23had these, let's say, ground baggage control people,
- 12:28you know, moving the baggage off the plane.
- 12:30I remember this one gentleman who took the
- 12:33bag off the plane, and he knew he
- 12:35was being watched on camera.
- 12:36He takes the bag off very gently.
- 12:38He dusts it off.
- 12:39He pats it down, goes to the next
- 12:41one.
- 12:41And then there was the same guy a
- 12:44different day that didn't believe he was being
- 12:48watched this time.
- 12:49He just threw the luggage.
- 12:51Lucky the luggage even stayed in one piece.
- 12:55So it's what we do that people don't
- 12:59see that matters.
- 13:02Number 16, alignment reduces stress by eliminating conflicts
- 13:06between words and actions.
- 13:08Clarity comes from harmony, guys.
- 13:10Avoid actions that contradict your values.
- 13:13Staying true builds long-term confidence.
- 13:17Discipline builds resilience over time.
- 13:20Consistent effort strengthens both mind and, of course,
- 13:24character.
- 13:27Number 19, integrity creates credibility and influence.
- 13:32People trust those who consistently do the right
- 13:36thing.
- 13:37The right thing.
- 13:40So in the case of this whole thing
- 13:42with, you know, being somebody who was, you
- 13:45know, let's say, watching, like I was watching
- 13:49this, this, the skipper, and I thought they
- 13:52were there to help mentor me and helps,
- 13:54you know, help me learn something.
- 13:56I learned that that wasn't the case of
- 13:58all people.
- 13:59So you've got to be very careful who
- 14:02you pick as your mentor.
- 14:03There are a lot of people that want
- 14:04to be your mentor, but they may not
- 14:06have anything that's going to be good for
- 14:08you.
- 14:09So just make sure that you choose the
- 14:11right mentors carefully.
- 14:14Number 20, alignment clarifies purpose and direction, helping
- 14:18you make confident, decisive decisions.
- 14:21And again, decisions are not always made.
- 14:24I talk about this in my book.
- 14:25Decisions are not always made by emotions, especially
- 14:27when it comes in business.
- 14:29We have to make them based on analytics,
- 14:32based on data.
- 14:33That's an important one.
- 14:35Number 21, avoid forbidden compromises that undermine long
- 14:39-term impact.
- 14:41Focus on sustainable results.
- 14:43I know the people that are in it
- 14:45for the short game don't want to do
- 14:47that.
- 14:48They just want to get the dollar, get
- 14:50the buck, make all they can, and not
- 14:52worry about tomorrow.
- 14:54But life's about relationships.
- 14:57It's about the long game.
- 14:59Number 22, discipline maintains momentum through daily consistency.
- 15:03Turning small steps into major progress.
- 15:07Just one consistent action every day can help
- 15:11you become successful.
- 15:13Number 23, integrity ensures decisions reflect true priorities,
- 15:19not fleeting emotions or external pressure.
- 15:23Again, we get pushed by some people because
- 15:25we think that that is the way we're
- 15:28supposed to go.
- 15:29Just because somebody's yelling, screaming, or just because
- 15:32they've been in business X years doesn't mean
- 15:36that they have the ability to mentor you.
- 15:42Now, they might have the skills, but that
- 15:44does not mean that they have the ability
- 15:47to mentor you.
- 15:48And I mean that, you know, let's say
- 15:55very seriously.
- 15:57Because if we don't understand that, I think
- 16:03it's important that we can change our philosophy
- 16:07and find people that not only have made
- 16:11the success, but that have the ability to
- 16:16mentor us.
- 16:16I'm going to give you an example here.
- 16:18I don't care whether we're talking about people
- 16:20that have no money, people that are millionaires,
- 16:24billionaires, etc.
- 16:25Just because they have the money doesn't mean
- 16:30that they have the authority to be able
- 16:34to mentor you.
- 16:36So money and authority are kind of a
- 16:39misnomer for going hand in hand.
- 16:42Yes, authority because they can buy and they
- 16:44can do things, but they don't have an
- 16:45authority.
- 16:45They don't have a unique voice.
- 16:46They just kind of followed a pattern.
- 16:49You got to be careful of that because
- 16:51a lot of wealth tries to get you
- 16:54sucked in and really doesn't give you anything,
- 16:57really doesn't mentor anything.
- 16:58You think you're going to get some mentoring,
- 17:00but really what you get is an empty
- 17:02lunch box.
- 17:03I'm just being honest.
- 17:05Number 24, guys.
- 17:09Alignment amplifies the effect of every action.
- 17:12Letting effort compound naturally over time, that's the
- 17:15key.
- 17:15It's the patience, guys, that makes the key.
- 17:18That's how it works.
- 17:20Number 25, guys.
- 17:21Avoid behaviors that erode your energy or your
- 17:25focus.
- 17:26Protect mental and physical bandwidth.
- 17:29I think that's a very important thing to
- 17:34understand.
- 17:36And if we understand that, then maybe we'll
- 17:42be able to go somewhere just a little
- 17:44bit different in our lives.
- 17:45Maybe, just maybe.
- 17:47But I want to tell you, it takes
- 17:50focus.
- 17:53And we have to guard our mental and
- 17:55physical bandwidth because when somebody eats up our
- 17:59bandwidth, let's talk about technology from it, right?
- 18:01If you've got a router, okay?
- 18:04And let's say that router is capable of
- 18:07producing 1G, right?
- 18:101,000 megabits per second.
- 18:12Now, let's just say in that router, let's
- 18:15say you have, hypothetically, I'll see if I
- 18:18can do this very easily for you.
- 18:20Let's say you have, let's say you have,
- 18:23let's say you have five people, okay?
- 18:27And they each steal 200, okay?
- 18:32There's nothing left for everybody else.
- 18:34So, you've got to be mindful of the
- 18:35bandwidth you have and the amount of time
- 18:38you're giving it, all right?
- 18:41Number 26, guys.
- 18:43Discipline shapes identity through repeat effort, turning habits
- 18:46into defining character traits.
- 18:49That's important, okay?
- 18:52Discipline shapes identity through repeat effort, turning habits
- 18:55into defining character traits.
- 18:56Not the ones we want to impress people
- 18:58with, the ones that we live our life
- 19:00by.
- 19:01And what I found is that the ones
- 19:02we live our life by are the ones
- 19:05other people care about, not the ones that
- 19:07you put up on a billboard.
- 19:09Because they're not really core values.
- 19:12Number 27, guys.
- 19:14Integrity reduces stress and internal conflict.
- 19:17Living in harmony with values, you know what
- 19:20it does?
- 19:20It creates a sense of calmness.
- 19:24I've also found that people who are calm
- 19:26are more successful.
- 19:29You might say, John, well, I know a
- 19:31lot of people, but they're always under stress.
- 19:33See, that's not real success.
- 19:36I mean, yes, they make money.
- 19:38Don't get me wrong, okay?
- 19:39Yes.
- 19:40Some stock market people, they make a lot
- 19:41of money.
- 19:42And some business, they make a lot of
- 19:43money.
- 19:44But they're always under stress.
- 19:47I don't consider that full success.
- 19:51Because you're giving away your life.
- 19:53You're giving away your freedom.
- 19:54You're always under the gun.
- 19:57To me, success, wealth, is about making choices,
- 20:00but doing them on your timeline.
- 20:03Not being pushed or pinched, right?
- 20:06When a contractor says to you, well, I
- 20:09can't finish it this weekend.
- 20:11Okay, no problem.
- 20:12And if it really is no problem for
- 20:13you, great.
- 20:14But if you can't wait, well, I want
- 20:17it done this weekend.
- 20:18We'll just get someone else.
- 20:21Don't make everything drama in your life.
- 20:24There's too much drama everywhere else you go,
- 20:26right?
- 20:27It could be on the roadway.
- 20:29I was at school the other day, and
- 20:30somebody was honking the horn.
- 20:31Because somebody did not make the left-hand
- 20:34turn as soon as the light turned.
- 20:39They were honking the horn.
- 20:40And in the garage, people are supposed to
- 20:42go five miles an hour, right?
- 20:44Well, they're going 40.
- 20:45They're lucky they don't kill somebody.
- 20:46And these are the important things when I
- 20:49talk about the moment.
- 20:51Everybody is rushing to the next moment.
- 20:53But not enjoying this moment that you and
- 20:55I are having right now.
- 20:56Like right now, I'm having a cup of
- 20:57tea.
- 20:58Mmm.
- 20:59Enjoying the moment.
- 21:01Being aware of, you know, the texture of
- 21:03the cup.
- 21:04The warmth of it.
- 21:05Even how, not just the taste, but also
- 21:14the qualities of the tea.
- 21:17Feel on my tongue or throat.
- 21:19Different properties.
- 21:21I think if we can become more aware,
- 21:24okay?
- 21:26We can plug into more value in our
- 21:28life.
- 21:29And when we plug into more value, we
- 21:30can offer more value.
- 21:31And guess what that also means?
- 21:32We can charge more money.
- 21:36When we're worth more, we could charge more.
- 21:38A lot of people don't charge because they
- 21:40don't believe they're worth more.
- 21:42That's the problem.
- 21:44Number 28, guys.
- 21:46Alignment produces confidence and clarity.
- 21:49Knowing your actions match intentions.
- 21:53Empowers, guys.
- 21:55Decisions.
- 21:57It doesn't dictate decisions, guys.
- 21:59It empowers them.
- 22:01When we have data, when we have resources.
- 22:05When we are calm, we're able to make
- 22:11decisions correctly the first time.
- 22:14Not because they have to be made or
- 22:17because we're making them a second time.
- 22:18But because we're now focused and we're not
- 22:21getting distracted, okay?
- 22:25Number 29, guys.
- 22:27Avoid forbidden distractions that steal the focus.
- 22:30Deliberate attention multiplies results.
- 22:33If you're focused on me right now.
- 22:35Now, if you're driving, obviously, focus on the
- 22:37road.
- 22:37But if you're not doing anything else and
- 22:38you're focused on me right now.
- 22:40And nothing else around you is captivating your
- 22:43attention.
- 22:44Just me.
- 22:46You're probably going to remember this podcast better
- 22:51than anything else you do.
- 22:55This goes with education.
- 22:58I want to talk about something else.
- 22:59Right now, I'm preparing for a mid-time
- 23:01for my advanced computer fundamentals and assembly class.
- 23:07Our professor teaches a very different way.
- 23:10Just kind of puts the stuff out there
- 23:12but doesn't really teach it.
- 23:13He just kind of says it very quickly.
- 23:15So it's up to myself to come up
- 23:17with a system.
- 23:19And other students, too.
- 23:20To be able to learn that information.
- 23:26Building a system early is important.
- 23:30Understanding the system and making it part of
- 23:32your daily day and activities.
- 23:34That's the key, guys, to success.
- 23:36It's not about, oh my gosh, he's not
- 23:38teaching.
- 23:39Like, that's not what it's about.
- 23:40It's not about complaining, guys.
- 23:42That's important.
- 23:44Number 30, discipline, integrity, and alignment together unlock
- 23:48personal power.
- 23:49Creating momentum that transforms your life.
- 23:53And I think when we understand that our
- 23:56momentum, that our presence of awareness on the
- 24:00moment, can help us see things, can help
- 24:05us make decisions, can help us be aware
- 24:08of where we are in life.
- 24:11And even maybe where we want to go.
- 24:15I think the biggest challenge many people have
- 24:17in life is the noise around them.
- 24:20The noise from others, the noise from distractions,
- 24:25the noise from chattering monkeys in their mind.
- 24:29We need to quiet our mind down so
- 24:33we can truly focus on what matters.
- 24:36Like a nice hot cup of tea.
- 24:43Nourishment, not just for the body, but for
- 24:45the brain.
- 24:46And so many of you may have great
- 24:48food every day, and that's great.
- 24:50But if you don't have good nourishment for
- 24:53the mind, you starve the mind.
- 24:56And the mind doesn't develop.
- 24:59Not everyone's back in school or in college
- 25:01or in high school right now.
- 25:04They're starting to let their minds not develop
- 25:08anymore.
- 25:09Now, they might be in a field, and
- 25:10they might work on certain things.
- 25:11But doing the same projects or the same
- 25:13kind of projects over time doesn't keep the
- 25:15mind aligned.
- 25:17We need to push the mind outside our
- 25:20comfort zone.
- 25:20I didn't say put pain on the mind.
- 25:22I said push it outside our comfort zone.
- 25:25That is a key, guys.
- 25:26That is a very big key.
- 25:30I know a lot of you here are
- 25:32saying to me, John, well, I don't have
- 25:33time for that.
- 25:34Okay, you don't have time for that, but
- 25:36you have time to redo something four or
- 25:38five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten times.
- 25:41If you would just focus once with true
- 25:48dedication and intention, you would see that even
- 25:57though things are difficult, they become easier each
- 26:00time.
- 26:03The more we focus, the easier it is
- 26:06each time.
- 26:06It just becomes like a natural thing.
- 26:08It's just like relaxing, right?
- 26:09We were relaxed the first time.
- 26:10I was like, oh my gosh, it's so
- 26:11difficult, right?
- 26:12I remember the first time I learned hypnosis
- 26:13many, many years ago.
- 26:14I was like, oh, this is complicated.
- 26:16Then I'm like, oh, I get it.
- 26:19I took the Sula Method, guys.
- 26:20I think it was like four or five
- 26:21times.
- 26:22It didn't make sense the very first time
- 26:24I took it.
- 26:25That's what happens with a lot of subjects.
- 26:27You take them the first time, and they
- 26:28don't make sense.
- 26:29You hear the words, but you haven't created
- 26:33the association to what they mean or understand
- 26:36what they represent.
- 26:41That's key, guys.
- 26:44I think the reason I love learning so
- 26:45much is I get the chance to create
- 26:48new pathways in my brain.
- 26:50Last night, I was learning something, and it
- 26:52seemed a little challenging, not because it was
- 26:54hard, but because I was actually rewiring my
- 26:56brain.
- 26:57I didn't even know I was doing this.
- 26:59But I realized afterwards, that's what's happening.
- 27:02I'm rewiring my brain.
- 27:05So when it feels a little difficult, when
- 27:06it feels a little bit, let's say, uncomfortable,
- 27:10that's good.
- 27:11That means your brain is starting to rewire
- 27:14great connections.
- 27:18That, ladies and gentlemen, is what creates intelligence.
- 27:21We all have the potential to be intelligent.
- 27:24It's just how many ways can we reconnect
- 27:26our information so we have access like a
- 27:30big supercomputer?
- 27:32Big supercomputers today, and even network servers, are
- 27:36resourceful because of the resources they connect to.
- 27:40They can share printers, other LANs, WANs, etc.
- 27:44They're not intelligent in themselves, but you are
- 27:49different.
- 27:50You have the ability to connect everything you
- 27:51have and just make it all part of
- 27:53one.
