- 5:49Speaker 5: all True School and to a flaw. A lot of
- 5:53Speaker 5: people used to criticize him for this. He only stays
- 5:56Speaker 5: in that very traditional space and was really the man

- 22:14Speaker 5: same concert that he was worried about in this ecisode.
- 22:17Speaker 5: So we'll listen in here after the song.

- 24:19Speaker 18: I did it.
- 24:33Speaker 5: Folks, it's my distinct pleasure to introduce to you, mister
- 24:38Speaker 5: ah Sing.
- 24:39Speaker 18: What up, buddy?
- 24:40Speaker 10: How are you?
- 24:41Speaker 6: I am?
- 24:42Speaker 5: Brother? Are we doing this in Punjabi or what?
- 24:44Speaker 23: By the way you said my name? Okay, Well, I'm
- 24:46Speaker 23: not fun dumb, but I can tell you by the
- 24:48Speaker 23: way you said my name, I know, my man.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Certain words just come out of our mouths a certain way,
- 24:53Speaker 5: you know.
- 24:54Speaker 23: Yeah, every everybody else is everything, you know.
- 24:59Speaker 5: That's that's a really interesting observation. The gosh. Yeah. Well listen, brother,
- 25:05Speaker 5: I know you're getting ready for the big concert going
- 25:07Speaker 5: on this weekend, this Saturday at the Radio City Music Hall. Listen,
- 25:12Speaker 5: are you ready for this? Are you terrified? What's the deal?
- 25:15Speaker 4: Oh?
- 25:15Speaker 23: So much stress, dude, so much stress.
- 25:17Speaker 5: I feel good about so.
- 25:19Speaker 23: You know, comedians work on their their sets like for
- 25:22Speaker 23: a long time, especially before you do a high stake
- 25:24Speaker 23: show and a bigger market. So I feel pretty good
- 25:26Speaker 23: about the set, very good, I think great. But pressure
- 25:30Speaker 23: of selling six thousand tickets so like I think a
- 25:33Speaker 23: week ago I was at like thirty five hundred, which
- 25:35Speaker 23: you could get the great number I sell anyways, great,
- 25:38Speaker 23: But if you walk into a place at seat six
- 25:40Speaker 23: thousand and there's only thirty five hundred people there, you're like, Wow,
- 25:43Speaker 23: this guy's a loser. This place is empty.
- 25:45Speaker 5: So where we did SAE?
- 25:48Speaker 23: Indians do everything late, so they're buying the tickets late.
- 25:50Speaker 23: Obviously the sales they're picking up, but there's still it's
- 25:52Speaker 23: just a lot of stress. Why would Indians do anything.
- 25:54Speaker 5: Without making exactly exactly but you know.
- 25:56Speaker 1: What, they'll tach coup.
- 25:57Speaker 5: There'll be a line outside the door, around the corner.
- 26:00Speaker 5: You just wait, you'll see it that I'm hoping for
- 26:02Speaker 5: help yea for thank you. Gosh, your crowd work is
- 26:05Speaker 5: just absolutely legendary. Thank you. And I love the way
- 26:09Speaker 5: that you do it. It's not a very easy thing
- 26:11Speaker 5: to do, but you do it so well. You know,
- 26:13Speaker 5: And I'll tell you something, you know, how do you
- 26:16Speaker 5: do that? How do you prepare yourself the audience? How
- 26:20Speaker 5: do you develop that safe space with them? Because what
- 26:23Speaker 5: you do, man, it's it's not easy. It's it's kind
- 26:25Speaker 5: of like a balancing act a little bit, you know
- 26:27Speaker 5: what I mean.
- 26:28Speaker 23: I've been doing this I'm forty one, forty two because
- 26:30Speaker 23: I've been doing comedy like eighteen nineteen years. So you
- 26:33Speaker 23: learn throughout the failure what you can get away with
- 26:35Speaker 23: them when you can't get away with it. I'll also
- 26:37Speaker 23: make an announcement at the beginning of every show, and
- 26:40Speaker 23: it's an honest thing. I don't I say, I don't
- 26:42Speaker 23: want people to like walk away feel and disrespected.
- 26:45Speaker 6: Or hurt or whatever.
- 26:45Speaker 23: So if I go too far, or if you just
- 26:48Speaker 23: don't want to be talked to, give me, like, I'll
- 26:50Speaker 23: give them a motion, like a cut it out motion,
- 26:52Speaker 23: and then I'll just move on. Yeah, And then at
- 26:55Speaker 23: some point I was like, that's my honest thing. I
- 26:56Speaker 23: don't want people to walk out feeling bad about themselves.
- 26:58Speaker 23: Why don't I just say it? I think that helps
- 27:00Speaker 23: me get away with more. But then also dc you
- 27:03Speaker 23: learn through again nineteen years of doing this, how to
- 27:06Speaker 23: self and things, how to word things where you're still
- 27:09Speaker 23: kind of sharp but not too sharp?
- 27:10Speaker 5: Right right? Oh gosh, I got a question for you, Yes, sir,
- 27:15Speaker 5: how's the personal life? With all that went down? My man,
- 27:19Speaker 5: I've been one to ask you how's married life? I mean, look,
- 27:23Speaker 5: that was not fun.
- 27:24Speaker 23: Obviously none of it was true, and I think people
- 27:27Speaker 23: it was more fun for them to believe the lies
- 27:29Speaker 23: than to like the most obvious, and so like, yeah,
- 27:33Speaker 23: I was a little that stuff watching that happen to
- 27:35Speaker 23: your wife. If you make fun of me and makes
- 27:36Speaker 23: me secure, whatever, But like, if you're just going to
- 27:38Speaker 23: run with these lives about my wife, that's tough. But
- 27:41Speaker 23: it ended up being good for me and for us,
- 27:44Speaker 23: and I think it kind of we got it.
- 27:46Speaker 5: We were lucky enough.
- 27:47Speaker 18: I was lucky.
- 27:47Speaker 23: Like this is weirdly how I found out I had
- 27:49Speaker 23: any level of same. But I got to see the
- 27:51Speaker 23: bad side first before I could be seduced by the
- 27:54Speaker 23: good side.
- 27:54Speaker 10: Yeah, it was like, now I.
- 27:56Speaker 23: Know, I don't that's not not I want. As we
- 27:58Speaker 23: do family playing and we're talking about having kids, I
- 28:01Speaker 23: don't want them to have to I want them to
- 28:03Speaker 23: be able to say whatever they say. Like my wife
- 28:04Speaker 23: and I make jokes about each other that y'all probably
- 28:07Speaker 23: would find disrespectful, but like I truly I call her
- 28:11Speaker 23: an idiot all the time. I called her a gipshit
- 28:13Speaker 23: last week, Like these are things that are funny to
- 28:15Speaker 23: us because we know each other, we love each other,
- 28:17Speaker 23: and I do think it's funny that some people, now
- 28:19Speaker 23: that they're like okay, find nothing that they made up
- 28:22Speaker 23: about her, which is crazy was true, but still she
- 28:25Speaker 23: was disrespectful to you. And it's like a lot of
- 28:28Speaker 23: those same people are the guys who are very anti
- 28:30Speaker 23: censorship before comedy. But if a woman is making jokes
- 28:34Speaker 23: about her husband, now you're kind of a snowflake about it.
- 28:36Speaker 23: I try to keep the same energy. I try to
- 28:38Speaker 23: be like, hey, I legit. I'm not even making this up.
- 28:41Speaker 23: I just remember this. I called her a bitch on
- 28:44Speaker 23: our first date, just to make sure she was fool
- 28:46Speaker 23: with me being me, I just said like dead as
- 28:48Speaker 23: I was like this bitch jokingly but.
- 28:51Speaker 5: Like catching the waters.
- 28:52Speaker 23: And she and I are fool because we know each
- 28:54Speaker 23: other very intimately. We're the only part that we've ever had.
- 28:57Speaker 23: We know she's been broke together, so like level of
- 29:00Speaker 23: understanding of each other that these jokes are fine with us.
- 29:04Speaker 23: And that's something I want for my kids too. I
- 29:07Speaker 23: want us to all be able to joke around with
- 29:08Speaker 23: each other. Take the shot, even if it hurts my feelings.
- 29:11Speaker 23: I'll tell you, and then you move on.
- 29:13Speaker 5: And that's it.
- 29:13Speaker 23: Like try to be funny, and it's if we succeed amazing.
- 29:17Speaker 15: Not it's all good.
- 29:18Speaker 23: But like words or words and actions are different and
- 29:20Speaker 23: in action, my wife just carried herself a lot of
- 29:22Speaker 23: honor and dignity, even if you don't like the words
- 29:24Speaker 23: she said. It's been six months now, there's no in
- 29:27Speaker 23: like text messages or screenshots or photos or videos that
- 29:31Speaker 23: validate any of the rumors that were made up about her,
- 29:34Speaker 23: and tens of millions, hundreds of millions of people saw it.
- 29:37Speaker 23: So if there was truth to it, don't you think
- 29:39Speaker 23: one guy would have been like, yeah, in college, she
- 29:41Speaker 23: and I X y Z. Here's a screen chat, here's
- 29:43Speaker 23: a picture, here's her saying I had a great time,
- 29:45Speaker 23: but none of that came out. Yeah, yeah, so yeah,
- 29:48Speaker 23: I think it's I just think it's a little it
- 29:51Speaker 23: was ended up being good for me and my wife
- 29:53Speaker 23: and I are fantastic and like, I know her and
- 29:56Speaker 23: she knows me, and God knows us, and that's what
- 29:58Speaker 23: we try to remember.
- 30:00Speaker 5: Love that, brother, that's a great answer, and thank you
- 30:02Speaker 5: so much for sharing that with us. That's not very
- 30:05Speaker 5: easy to address, and I know a lot of people
- 30:07Speaker 5: have been kind of poking about so of course, yeah,
- 30:09Speaker 5: thank you.
- 30:10Speaker 23: Of course, I know everybody wondering, so we have to
- 30:11Speaker 23: admit it.
- 30:12Speaker 5: Yeah, it's very classic.
- 30:13Speaker 24: You.
- 30:13Speaker 5: Thank you so much. You know, let's take this back
- 30:16Speaker 5: to comedy. Yeah, you know, listen, you you do podcasts
- 30:20Speaker 5: for three hours, you're on stage, you know doing stand up.
- 30:26Speaker 5: Those are two different worlds. They almost take two different brains.
- 30:29Speaker 5: You know, which ones you do you enjoy the most?
- 30:32Speaker 5: And what is it that each of you know each
- 30:35Speaker 5: kind of medium takes from you.
- 30:36Speaker 23: Oh, it's a stage by podcasting is like it's a job.
- 30:40Speaker 23: Like I don't thank God for me here to be
- 30:41Speaker 23: a podcaster, and I think if you, if you thank
- 30:43Speaker 23: God for you here to be a podcast that's pretty wain.
- 30:46Speaker 23: So I love stands, stand up to me like a
- 30:49Speaker 23: real art form, and podcasting is cool. Yeah, But also
- 30:52Speaker 23: I realized most of the things that get people in
- 30:54Speaker 23: hot water, including stand ups our podcast. The jokes are
- 30:58Speaker 23: jokes and people I don't have a my wife and
- 31:00Speaker 23: stuff that everybody was defender by podcast right, And it's like,
- 31:03Speaker 23: what's the upside of that? I don't it's money, but
- 31:06Speaker 23: like it's kind of everything else that comes with it
- 31:09Speaker 23: kind of sucks. So what are we doing here?
- 31:11Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 31:11Speaker 5: Yeah, listen big show this weekend. I know, as a
- 31:16Speaker 5: creative you're always tinkering with your set and kind of
- 31:19Speaker 5: playing around with it. Where are you out with this thing?
- 31:21Speaker 5: Are you ready for this Sunday? And you ready to
- 31:24Speaker 5: go with it?
- 31:25Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 31:26Speaker 23: I feel very good about the set. I think it's
- 31:27Speaker 23: in a really good place. I think it's my guest
- 31:29Speaker 23: I Caurial by far. I hope everybody feels that way.
- 31:31Speaker 23: Who comes out. But the idea of selling out six
- 31:34Speaker 23: thousand tickets is do Yeah. If I sell four thousand,
- 31:38Speaker 23: that's a great number. But you walk in and the
- 31:40Speaker 23: theater's only two thirds full and you're like, Wow, this
- 31:41Speaker 23: guy sucks. So I passed four thousand for the record,
- 31:45Speaker 23: But I really want to sell this out there. I
- 31:47Speaker 23: mean a lot to me, so anybody who's listening. But
- 31:48Speaker 23: I take it, I'm sorry. The venue did not They
- 31:50Speaker 23: will not allow me to do discount codes.
- 31:52Speaker 5: Indians.
- 31:53Speaker 23: Oh, I do not have a discount code.
- 31:55Speaker 5: There was one of tree sales, but y'all didn't do it.
- 31:57Speaker 23: So because you do everything late, so no discount go.
- 32:01Speaker 23: But will you still come out? I promise we're going
- 32:03Speaker 23: to put on a phenomenal show from the moment you
- 32:06Speaker 23: walk into the room and the moment the show is over.
- 32:08Speaker 23: I truly believe every single second there's something that will
- 32:12Speaker 23: be fun for you. Got nice, we got DJs, we
- 32:14Speaker 23: got all got everything.
- 32:16Speaker 5: Listen. And by the way, thanks so much for addressing
- 32:18Speaker 5: that whole discount code thing. I was about to get
- 32:20Speaker 5: hit up in my DMS.
- 32:21Speaker 23: For it, so I know know I already have to Yeah,
- 32:24Speaker 23: absolutely sorry, you got money?

- 32:49Speaker 23: saying us enough for this. There's people selling fake tickets

- 38:44Speaker 5: Card Pussage, Yes, right there for you guys. The track
- 39:37Speaker 5: is called Bounce. I'm sure it'll show up tomorrow in
- 39:40Speaker 5: our Top twenty Countdown show this weekend. And folks, let's
- 39:44Speaker 5: bring in our brother Sonny. How are you, Sonny?
- 39:47Speaker 7: I'm good man.
- 39:48Speaker 26: How you keeping everything good with you?
- 39:50Speaker 5: We're doing well, man, I hope everything's well with you.
- 39:53Speaker 5: And it's Indian Film Festival season over here in La
- 39:57Speaker 5: and I was sitting back and I know that you're
- 39:59Speaker 5: quite the film enthusiast, and I was like, all right,
- 40:02Speaker 5: let me talk to Sonny about this. And one of
- 40:04Speaker 5: the conversations, Yeah, And one of the conversations that I
- 40:07Speaker 5: had this last week or two was I had a
- 40:11Speaker 5: conversation with the festival director at Indian Film Festival of
- 40:14Speaker 5: La and I brought up this one question that I
- 40:16Speaker 5: thought i'd pose at you, which is festivals generally, you know,
- 40:21Speaker 5: what is this new world like for a festival in
- 40:24Speaker 5: the equation of the film industry. They were once a
- 40:28Speaker 5: very important part to showcase, to galvanize, to gather distribution,
- 40:33Speaker 5: and I feel like that is changing a little bit.
- 40:35Speaker 5: And I wanted to get your thoughts about you know,
- 40:37Speaker 5: since you've been so involved in things in London in
- 40:40Speaker 5: this space and you've been quite a keen observation list
- 40:44Speaker 5: of this area, what are your thoughts on this, Songe?
- 40:47Speaker 26: Well, you know what years ago we said, well, I
- 40:50Speaker 26: was part of the I am still part of the
- 40:52Speaker 26: London New Film Festival, right, and at that time there
- 40:55Speaker 26: wasn't that many Indian festivals. You know that bringing in
- 41:01Speaker 26: directors and these experimental films dealing with subject matters like lesbianism, racism,
- 41:09Speaker 26: cast and giving the opportunity to tell stories with character
- 41:13Speaker 26: such a rate is known for you know, you know
- 41:17Speaker 26: the father of our.
- 41:18Speaker 5: House films in India.
- 41:19Speaker 26: But then telling those interesting, you know stories using visuality
- 41:24Speaker 26: and light and moving the light and the characters and
- 41:29Speaker 26: giving those kind of stories a platform to be seen
- 41:33Speaker 26: in the big screen, and then question the directors.
- 41:37Speaker 5: It's a bit of a break.
- 41:39Speaker 26: From you know, the Hindi cinema that we know and
- 41:43Speaker 26: love and we do appreciate. But I think something's got
- 41:47Speaker 26: lost when you look at Hindi cinema which is now
- 41:51Speaker 26: called Bollywood cinema. Right, the directors like current Jo Hale
- 41:54Speaker 26: and you know, the writers of the eighties and the nineties,
- 42:00Speaker 26: they had you know, groundbreaking films like Orbikushi, Gubby Gum and.
- 42:07Speaker 5: You know, uh and then.
- 42:11Speaker 26: And these are these are powerhouses who you know gave
- 42:14Speaker 26: I could you know, I could break down each you know,
- 42:17Speaker 26: director and what they influenced that they had on the
- 42:21Speaker 26: language of film in in Bollywood. But then a film
- 42:26Speaker 26: come along now where the insiders kept this guy on
- 42:30Speaker 26: the outside and the film and talking about is that
- 42:33Speaker 26: under that under two that smashed all box office records
- 42:38Speaker 26: and basically said you can make your period patriotic films,
- 42:42Speaker 26: you can make your love films and just you know,
- 42:45Speaker 26: painted by numbers. But I think there's a more interested
- 42:50Speaker 26: and more let's say educated, and uh, more outward looking
- 42:56Speaker 26: audience in India and outside in the Derek Sports. So therefore,
- 43:01Speaker 26: stop patronizing us and start doing what you do best,
- 43:04Speaker 26: tell stories at be experimental. And these festivals give those
- 43:08Speaker 26: platforms to those directors who can't get in to those
- 43:12Speaker 26: you know, those rooms where they are still gatekeepers. There's
- 43:16Speaker 26: still nepotism going.
- 43:17Speaker 5: On in there.
- 43:18Speaker 26: So therefore these festivals, if you want to find those
- 43:21Speaker 26: unique stories from people that look like you, from sort
- 43:25Speaker 26: of like your kind of background, and you'll be surprised
- 43:29Speaker 26: how amazing some of the films are. And some films
- 43:31Speaker 26: are ship let's just be honest, they should not be made.
- 43:34Speaker 26: And somehow this guy or hook or by this lady's
- 43:37Speaker 26: or hook or by crook manage to get it onto
- 43:39Speaker 26: the big screen, got into a festival, and you're going
- 43:42Speaker 26: to give them, you know, THEO, you know, a nod
- 43:45Speaker 26: just for the hustle, just for the hustle man, because
- 43:47Speaker 26: it's hard to get. It's not easy, brother, it's not easy.
- 43:53Speaker 5: Yeah, it's basically economy. Yeah, it's very very difficult. And I,
- 43:56Speaker 5: of course, just out of proximity of the industry itself,
- 44:00Speaker 5: have seen so many of these films go from you know, conception,
- 44:04Speaker 5: you know, all the way to actual filming to going
- 44:07Speaker 5: to sale and it's very very difficult for that process
- 44:10Speaker 5: to take form.
- 44:12Speaker 25: It really is.
- 44:13Speaker 5: It's a very long process. And Sunny always great discussing
- 44:17Speaker 5: this industry with you, my man. It was a good
- 44:19Speaker 5: chat here about this.
- 44:22Speaker 26: Thank you, brother. I'm going to more debt at some point.
- 44:25Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 44:25Speaker 5: It's it's a space that I think that you know,
- 44:28Speaker 5: is reshaping the industry for sure. But to your point,
- 44:31Speaker 5: it is the one last bastion for experimental work. And
- 44:36Speaker 5: I think that it's always going to have a space
- 44:38Speaker 5: for that, and and and it may that, you know,
- 44:40Speaker 5: the festival may end up becoming just that, you know,
- 44:42Speaker 5: a place for you to try stuff, and and and
- 44:46Speaker 5: that may be the the the resonating virtue of it.
- 44:50Speaker 26: I couldn't I couldn't have work it better to.
- 44:53Speaker 5: Yeah, well we'll keep the dialogue going sunny. See you
- 44:59Speaker 5: next week, my friend. Here's the next track for you. Guys.
- 45:02Speaker 27: Every night you've been on my mind, baby girls there

- 46:39Speaker 1: Can't you get your do.

- 46:57Speaker 27: I do?

- 47:23Speaker 7: Pillb Deal, Metal, Baby, True Tru Deliver, Cop.
- 47:34Speaker 13: Car It Hard to.
- 48:14Speaker 5: Zara das Val Hassan Raheem two of Lahore's finest right there.
- 48:21Speaker 5: What a great interview with a Gosh singing by the way,
- 48:25Speaker 5: I had a chance to actually listen to that in
- 48:27Speaker 5: a way that maybe as an audience member, you know,
- 48:31Speaker 5: And one of the things that I picked up from
- 48:34Speaker 5: that interview was just how open and honest he was.
- 48:38Speaker 5: And I will warn you I did tell him before
- 48:41Speaker 5: the interview that I was going to ask him a
- 48:43Speaker 5: couple of questions about, you know, his personal life and
- 48:46Speaker 5: what had happened to him in such a public way,
- 48:48Speaker 5: everything that had played out with his wife. And so, yeah,
- 48:52Speaker 5: shout out to a Gosh man for being so open
- 48:55Speaker 5: and being so honest and not taking any weird kind
- 48:58Speaker 5: of angle on it and kind of owned up into
- 49:01Speaker 5: it and said, yeah, you know, it sucked and we
- 49:04Speaker 5: had to get better, and you know, so I'm really
- 49:06Speaker 5: happy he's in a better place and in a big
- 49:09Speaker 5: moment there for a Cosh to go sell out Radio
- 49:12Speaker 5: City Music Hall, So thank you all very much for
- 49:14Speaker 5: going out there and supporting him. That meant a lot
- 49:15Speaker 5: to everybody. Now let's bring in Rihanna to the show
- 49:18Speaker 5: for today's news. What's up Rihanna?

- 49:35Speaker 24: large young population and migration pressures, job creation remains critical
- 49:39Speaker 24: to long term economic stability. These initiatives aim to reduce
- 49:42Speaker 24: outward labor dependency and strengthen domestic industries. Government's worldwider accelerating
- 49:46Speaker 24: discussions or artificial intelligence regulation, focusing on data privacy, misinformation risks,
