Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone on seven to ten Double All. Whoa hey,
- 0:06Speaker 1: if you just joined us, you missed the first hour.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Remember the show is three hours now it's nine to
- 0:12Speaker 1: noon every day. Now we start at nine o'clock every day,
- 0:15Speaker 1: so this is actually the second hour. But we got
- 0:17Speaker 1: a lot coming up here. Bruce Blakeman. We want to
- 0:23Speaker 1: see him become governor. Bruce Blakeman, he's got to beat
- 0:26Speaker 1: Kathy Hochele in November. Now he's becoming more and more
- 0:30Speaker 1: successful in the campaign. He's climbing up in the polls.
- 0:35Speaker 1: He started something like twenty five points behind. He's now
- 0:38Speaker 1: about five points behind. That's pretty good. That's exactly what
- 0:41Speaker 1: happened to him in Nasau County both times that he ran.
- 0:44Speaker 1: He started off way behind and then bit by bit
- 0:48Speaker 1: by bit he caught up and then one big. So
- 0:50Speaker 1: we'll hopefully see that in November. Now, President Trump loves
- 0:54Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman, big big, Bruce Blakeman supporter, longtime friend. So
- 1:00Speaker 1: does he come out and endorse him, Well, you know,
- 1:03Speaker 1: you got to think about that. He would love to
- 1:06Speaker 1: endorse him, but it might hurt in New York State,
- 1:08Speaker 1: might hurt a lot in New York City and to
- 1:11Speaker 1: become governor, you got to win thirty four percent of
- 1:14Speaker 1: the votes in New York City, So you've got to
- 1:16Speaker 1: be careful about endorsing Bruce Blakeman.
- 1:20Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:20Speaker 1: It's like Al Domato used to call up candidates that
- 1:25Speaker 1: he wanted to help and he'd say, I'll do whatever
- 1:28Speaker 1: you want. I'll endorse you if you want or if
- 1:31Speaker 1: you think it's going to hurt you, I'll endorse the
- 1:33Speaker 1: other guy. He goes, you do the polling and see
- 1:35Speaker 1: which way would be better for you, and I'll do
- 1:37Speaker 1: whatever helps you. So it's kind of but they've they
- 1:40Speaker 1: found a good way to do this because the President
- 1:44Speaker 1: wants to help Bruce Blakeman. So he's coming to Nassau
- 1:48Speaker 1: County Friday. Now it's not a campaign event, it's not
- 1:52Speaker 1: an endorsement kind of thing. Nasau County under Bruce Blakman,
- 1:56Speaker 1: great police department, he's been great on crime and all
- 2:01Speaker 1: of that. And then Nassau County they got a great
- 2:02Speaker 1: police training center, police Academy. It's a big, huge complex.
- 2:07Speaker 1: So they're having an event there Friday where the President
- 2:11Speaker 1: will come to Nassau County for this event at the
- 2:14Speaker 1: police Academy. The police training Center, and of course he'll
- 2:17Speaker 1: be there with Bruce Blakeman, so it's a way of
- 2:20Speaker 1: helping him out without natural endorsement that could hurt him
- 2:23Speaker 1: in parts of New York. So that'll be on Friday,
- 2:26Speaker 1: the Police New York Nasau County Police Academy Training Center.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It's near Garden City, it's near Eisenhower Park, So it's
- 2:36Speaker 1: going to be a traffic nightmare around that when the
- 2:38Speaker 1: presidential motorcade comes and goes and all of that. So
- 2:42Speaker 1: if you're anywhere near that area, it's going to be
- 2:43Speaker 1: at three o'clock the event on Friday. Three o'clock on Friday,
- 2:47Speaker 1: which is also the busiest time traffic wise in Long Island.
- 2:51Speaker 1: It's when all that crazy Hampton's traffic is heading out there.
- 2:54Speaker 1: To just be aware that if you're on Long Island,
- 2:56Speaker 1: Nassau County President visiting three o'clock on Friday, figure gets
- 3:00Speaker 1: there two thirty something like that, doesn't leave till about five,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and again it's the middle of rush hour out there.
- 3:08Speaker 1: So Iran, let me give you all the latest on Iran.
- 3:12Speaker 1: There is no latest right now. They've made all kinds
- 3:15Speaker 1: of threats, they're demanding reparations, all of that. President Trump
- 3:21Speaker 1: now demanding reparations from Iran. He wants Iran to pay
- 3:25Speaker 1: back all of our costs in this war, which would
- 3:28Speaker 1: be you know, hundreds of billions of dollars. But Iran
- 3:32Speaker 1: is totally broke. They have no money. When the Straight
- 3:36Speaker 1: of hor Moose closed, that shut off all their revenue
- 3:39Speaker 1: and income. And that's been four months of absolutely no revenue.
- 3:44Speaker 1: The whole place is drained. They have no money. Now,
- 3:48Speaker 1: some people think Russia or China is helping resupply them,
- 3:52Speaker 1: sending them what they need, you know, food, weapons, whatever
- 3:55Speaker 1: they need. Well, I don't think so, because President Trump
- 3:58Speaker 1: very quietly. One thing they did was they blew up
- 4:01Speaker 1: all the railroads in Iran. There are no railroads anywhere,
- 4:05Speaker 1: so that stuff can't come in the air because we
- 4:08Speaker 1: control the airspace over Iran. All of that stuff would
- 4:11Speaker 1: have to come by ship, get loaded onto railcars and
- 4:15Speaker 1: trans Well, we blew up all the railroads. They're all
- 4:17Speaker 1: gone in Iran. They don't exist. Now. This is something
- 4:23Speaker 1: called the misery index. You know, remember that under Jimmy Carter,
- 4:26Speaker 1: it's a combination of inflation, all sorts of stuff to
- 4:31Speaker 1: see how bad the economy is. Remember under Carter, the
- 4:34Speaker 1: misery index got to like twenty five percent, which was
- 4:36Speaker 1: considered astronomical. Right now, in Iran the misery index is
- 4:41Speaker 1: ninety one percent and climbing. It will hit one hundred
- 4:46Speaker 1: percent soon, which means the country absolutely broke. The people
- 4:50Speaker 1: are starving. It's just a nightmare in Iran for citizens there.
- 4:55Speaker 1: So hopefully at leads to some kind of overthrow. Now,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you guys still have the Council that runs around the Apps,
- 5:03Speaker 1: the Supreme Council rulers. It's three guys in a cave,
- 5:08Speaker 1: three guys hiding in a cave, but they give themselves
- 5:10Speaker 1: a whole title Supreme Council of this and that. So
- 5:14Speaker 1: at some point you might see the Supreme Council and
- 5:18Speaker 1: whoever else overthrown, but that's still a long shot. Now. Basically,
- 5:24Speaker 1: what Iran strategy is is to delay until the midterms.
- 5:28Speaker 1: They want to damage Trump in the mid terms. They're
- 5:31Speaker 1: hoping and praying and this is the only thing Iran
- 5:35Speaker 1: has going for it. Try to get to the midterms
- 5:39Speaker 1: and hope Trump loses the midterms. If he loses the
- 5:41Speaker 1: House and the Senate and Democrats can take control of
- 5:45Speaker 1: the Senate, they'll pass all kinds of laws that there
- 5:47Speaker 1: can't be any war in Iran. They'll impeach the president
- 5:50Speaker 1: over Iran. So that's that's the Iranian strategy. That's what
- 5:55Speaker 1: they're hoping for. The straightahorn Moose, Well, I guess it's closed.
- 5:59Speaker 1: He is the president.
- 6:00Speaker 3: The only one that has control of the Strait of
- 6:03Speaker 3: Hormus right now is the United States Navy.
- 6:05Speaker 1: We have a blockade that's been infallible.
- 6:08Speaker 3: It's a steel wall, and we let people in that
- 6:11Speaker 3: we want to let in, and those people come in
- 6:13Speaker 3: and they've been coming in into going out, so it's
- 6:16Speaker 3: actually open now.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah, there is some traffic in and out the state
- 6:19Speaker 1: at home, Moos, And he's right, we do have total
- 6:21Speaker 1: control of it now. A ran can try to fire
- 6:25Speaker 1: a drone, fire a missile and try to hit something
- 6:27Speaker 1: in there, and that's possible. That's the only reason there's
- 6:30Speaker 1: not full traffic because it's really the insurance company, which
- 6:33Speaker 1: is mostly Lloyd's of London. The insurance companies will not
- 6:36Speaker 1: ensure a tanker right now because they're worried about an
- 6:39Speaker 1: attack a tanker. A oil tanker costs a couple of
- 6:42Speaker 1: million the oil on it's another couple of millions, so
- 6:45Speaker 1: the insurance companies don't want to lose five to six
- 6:47Speaker 1: million every time a tanker gets it. But we do
- 6:51Speaker 1: control it. And there are different lanes. There's the southern lane,
- 6:55Speaker 1: the southern route that's along the coast of Oman that's
- 6:58Speaker 1: the safest. But here's the other thing, and this is
- 7:01Speaker 1: the long term thing. Straight of hor Moose is over
- 7:04Speaker 1: finished done the US, all the Gulf states, Oman Uae
- 7:11Speaker 1: are all frantically building pipelines now. The straight ohor Moose
- 7:17Speaker 1: within two years will not be used anymore for oil.
- 7:20Speaker 1: All these Gulf states saw and all the European states saw,
- 7:25Speaker 1: it's totally ridiculous to depend on the Straight of horn
- 7:28Speaker 1: Moose because you're always going to have crazy Iran bombing
- 7:32Speaker 1: things in the Straight of horm Moose. So pipelines are
- 7:34Speaker 1: being built right now to transport the oil in other ways.
- 7:38Speaker 1: A lot of these pipelines are going to be underground,
- 7:40Speaker 1: so they can't be bombed a couple of them. India
- 7:43Speaker 1: is building massive underwater pipelines under the sea. Now that
- 7:48Speaker 1: could take four or five years, but the other pipelines
- 7:51Speaker 1: should all be done within two years. So two years
- 7:53Speaker 1: from now, Iran can never use the straight of hor
- 7:56Speaker 1: moose for leverage ever again. It'll be finished as an
- 8:00Speaker 1: oil route. That'll be the end of it. So hey,
- 8:04Speaker 1: the Democrats, they got this problem in Michigan. They got
- 8:08Speaker 1: this crazy El Sayad who is just a wacko left
- 8:16Speaker 1: wing kuk hanging around with Hassan Piker. Now, if you
- 8:20Speaker 1: watch these interviews they had them on Meet the Press
- 8:24Speaker 1: and all the fake news, all the media, Democrats, they're
- 8:27Speaker 1: all trying to clean this guy up, and whenever they
- 8:30Speaker 1: talk to him, it's doctor el Sid, doctor Elside. Now
- 8:33Speaker 1: he's never practiced as a doctor ever. And I've never
- 8:37Speaker 1: heard the same media. I say doctor Rand Paul, they
- 8:40Speaker 1: never say that, But with him, it's doctor El Siod,
- 8:43Speaker 1: it's doctor Jill Biden. So El Saiod is just a
- 8:51Speaker 1: crazy left wing Hey, remember I told you all these
- 8:53Speaker 1: these Democrats, they don't like anything American. They don't like
- 8:56Speaker 1: hot dogs, they don't like football. They just don't like it.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Listen to Elsie.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Football is very much associated with a particularly masculine and
- 9:05Speaker 4: oftentimes toxic, toxically masculine culture.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Terrible at football, toxic masculine. I guess a bunch of big,
- 9:15Speaker 1: huge guys tackling each other and knocking each other down.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I guess that's toxic and me. But they really don't
- 9:21Speaker 1: like this stuff. Then you got that Hong, that crazy
- 9:24Speaker 1: Hong who hates Thanksgiving, hate. They just hate anything American.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Listen to her.
- 9:29Speaker 5: You have a lot of internal reckoning to do, but
- 9:33Speaker 5: that it's important to see it through the lens of
- 9:36Speaker 5: toxic white supremacy culture that is ingrained in this country's history.
- 9:41Speaker 5: That racism is actually at the backbone of this history.
- 9:46Speaker 1: This is what they do, but this is what they enjoy.
- 9:48Speaker 1: They don't like anything. They don't like football, they don't
- 9:50Speaker 1: like going to a picnic, they don't like watching the Yankees,
- 9:54Speaker 1: they don't like anything. They like just being angry and mad.
- 9:58Speaker 1: That's why MSNBC is this. They love watching that. MSNBC
- 10:03Speaker 1: gets them all riled up. I was watching that Rachel
- 10:06Speaker 1: Maddow last night. Every time we turn on Rachel Maddow,
- 10:08Speaker 1: there's a horrible Trump scandal, some horrible thing that he's doing,
- 10:12Speaker 1: and she lays the case out for twenty minutes. It's
- 10:15Speaker 1: always something nobody ever heard of, nobody ever knew. Last night,
- 10:18Speaker 1: it was something about a company drilling for oil and Greenland.
- 10:21Speaker 1: I don't know what the hell she was talking about.
- 10:23Speaker 1: You never hear about this stuff anywhere else, but it
- 10:25Speaker 1: gets them all fired up. They love to get mad
- 10:29Speaker 1: and riled up and go crazy, you know. I mean
- 10:33Speaker 1: people always say, wow, Fox News. You know, if you
- 10:35Speaker 1: watch Fox News, everybody seems to be having a good time.
- 10:38Speaker 1: You watch Hannity, he's serious, but he's laughing. Jesse Waters
- 10:41Speaker 1: is laughing. They're making jokes. There's a lot of fun
- 10:45Speaker 1: there there. That's put one of the secrets of Fox News,
- 10:47Speaker 1: like normal people having fun. But you put on MSNBC,
- 10:51Speaker 1: they are so mad, they are so angry all the time.
- 10:58Speaker 1: You know, a morning show you expose to be good morning,
- 11:02Speaker 1: it's today. You know, the morning show is supposed to
- 11:04Speaker 1: be Willard Scott happy. Listen that Joe Scarborough.
- 11:07Speaker 3: I don't need people telling me, oh, you have to
- 11:11Speaker 3: just turn a blind eye to people saying that women
- 11:14Speaker 3: getting rate on October seventh didn't matter.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Hey, it's seven o'clock in the morning. What the hell
- 11:20Speaker 1: you so mad? But you just woke up? How could
- 11:23Speaker 1: you be that many? You know, if you do. I'm
- 11:30Speaker 1: around morning shows all the time, morning shows on the radio.
- 11:33Speaker 1: You know, you see Curtis and Larry in the hallway.
- 11:36Speaker 1: They laughing and having fun. Any morning show they're having fun.
- 11:40Speaker 1: These guys are furious. They woke up crazy, mad, angry, screaming.
- 11:46Speaker 1: So what do you do about this, Elsiad? Well, here's
- 11:48Speaker 1: the problem. That's a Democratic seat in Michigan. It's been
- 11:54Speaker 1: held by a Democrat. He's retiring. The Democrat is retiring,
- 11:57Speaker 1: so now it's an open seat and the Republicans got
- 12:01Speaker 1: a solid candidate, Mike Rodgers, and the Democrats have this
- 12:04Speaker 1: crazy wacko Alcayd. So if they lose that seat, then
- 12:09Speaker 1: they drop. Besides the other toss up races, they'll lose
- 12:12Speaker 1: a seat, and if they lose Michigan, it's almost impossible
- 12:16Speaker 1: for Democrats to win the Senate. So that's why they're
- 12:20Speaker 1: back in El Saiad. They don't like the guy either,
- 12:22Speaker 1: they wish he would go away, but they got to
- 12:24Speaker 1: back this guy because if they don't win that seat,
- 12:27Speaker 1: they can't win Michigan. So they're all going crazy. That's
- 12:30Speaker 1: why Schumer's backing them, because Schumer wants to be the
- 12:33Speaker 1: majority leader again. Schumer's an old, washed up fossil. He's
- 12:38Speaker 1: an old Willie Lohman, death of a salesman, kind of
- 12:41Speaker 1: a desperate guy who's on his last last year or two,
- 12:45Speaker 1: and then he's going to get tossed out and he
- 12:47Speaker 1: knows it, but he wants to be the majority of theer.
- 12:50Speaker 1: So he is suddenly backing El Siyad, who he really hates.
- 12:53Speaker 1: And then he got all the Democratic big big shots
- 12:57Speaker 1: all trying to Now they got to try right to
- 13:00Speaker 1: back El Sayod. So Gavin Newsom flying out to Michigan,
- 13:06Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom flying out the campaign with El Saiyod. Even
- 13:10Speaker 1: Barack Obama, he's really the leader of the party, I
- 13:14Speaker 1: mean with it's always the ex president's of the leader.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Biden is like a frozen vegetable. He can't lead anything.
- 13:20Speaker 1: But Barack Obama doesn't want to go near El Sayod.
- 13:24Speaker 1: He probably gets sick looking at him, but he's trying
- 13:28Speaker 1: to back him. So he called him on the phone
- 13:31Speaker 1: and they both could brag that they had a wonderful
- 13:34Speaker 1: phone call. They had a nice long conversation. So that's
- 13:37Speaker 1: his way of endorsing him. Hey, remember that helicopter crash.
- 13:43Speaker 1: It was a terrible thing. It's a family of on vacation.
- 13:46Speaker 1: They're tourists. They're visiting New York. The whole family goes
- 13:49Speaker 1: on when they rent one of those helicopters, some charter thing,
- 13:52Speaker 1: and they up in the crash. As it turns out,
- 13:55Speaker 1: the pilot wasn't qualified, the helicopter didn't have a license,
- 13:58Speaker 1: the mate, it was all kinds of problems. Well, this
- 14:02Speaker 1: weekend you heard about that boat crash Liberty Island. Another family,
- 14:09Speaker 1: a mother, father, the baby, the whole family. They charter
- 14:12Speaker 1: a little motor boat and they're going to take a
- 14:14Speaker 1: tour of the Hudson River. And they're going and it's
- 14:18Speaker 1: going towards the Liberty Island. Next thing you know, the
- 14:21Speaker 1: boat a twenty nineteen Yamaha motor boat. Next thing you know,
- 14:25Speaker 1: and it's supposed to be a luxury tour company. Next
- 14:28Speaker 1: thing you know, it crashes into Liberty Island. It's got
- 14:31Speaker 1: fourteen people on board. People are killed, people are dying.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Several passengers desperately swam through the water trying to rescue
- 14:40Speaker 1: the mother, the five month old daughter, but they were
- 14:42Speaker 1: unable to save them. These people died on the Well,
- 14:46Speaker 1: now they're looking at this charter boat and this charter
- 14:49Speaker 1: company turned out nothing was licensed nobody was licensed to
- 14:54Speaker 1: captain as Manuel Hernandez. He's a ragin now in federal
- 14:59Speaker 1: court yesterday misconduct neglect. And it turns out he had
- 15:05Speaker 1: fourteen people on the boat. The boat was supposed to
- 15:09Speaker 1: never have a capacity of more than ten people. That's
- 15:13Speaker 1: probably one reason he lost control of the boat as
- 15:15Speaker 1: everybody was drowning. Witnesses say the captain didn't lift a
- 15:19Speaker 1: finger to help anybody. He didn't have a boat license.
- 15:24Speaker 1: He was actually he worked for the luxury tour company,
- 15:26Speaker 1: but they say he was actually hired as a Lemo driver,
- 15:29Speaker 1: not a boat captain. So very very very bad situation. Hey,
- 15:34Speaker 1: we'll take some calls next. Eight hundred three to two
- 15:37Speaker 1: one zero seven ten is the number. Well, let's get
- 15:41Speaker 1: some new callers too. We always like hearing from new callers.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Call me now eight hundred three to two one zero
- 15:47Speaker 1: seven ten.
- 15:48Speaker 3: They'll mark some own show live from the wor Life
- 15:52Speaker 3: Back studios.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Well, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 16:01Speaker 1: zero seven tennis, and I'm let's go to Wayne in Alabama. Wayne,
- 16:05Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 16:07Speaker 6: Good morning? Just let you know I listen to you
- 16:10Speaker 6: every day. I love The Third Hour located in central Alabama,
- 16:14Speaker 6: little town called Hayden, Alabama.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Hayden, Alabama. And you have like a fishing prick and
- 16:21Speaker 1: cement pond and all that kind of stuff.
- 16:23Speaker 6: No, actually I own about fifty five acres of a
- 16:27Speaker 6: house in Woodland. Got deer in Turkey, but no fishing.
- 16:31Speaker 6: We love it down here and just fuck you know.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I like your show very good. Well that's great to hear, Wayne.
- 16:36Speaker 1: And what do you think when you listen to this show?
- 16:38Speaker 1: What do you think of New York? How does it
- 16:39Speaker 1: sound to you?
- 16:40Speaker 7: I've never visited.
- 16:41Speaker 6: I kind of want to in a way, but otherwise
- 16:44Speaker 6: I don't. But maybe one day it's on the bucket list.
- 16:46Speaker 6: We'll have to see.
- 16:47Speaker 1: All right, Nate, I can lock your Yeah. You're not
- 16:49Speaker 1: got to come in on a truck like the Beverly
- 16:51Speaker 1: Hillbillies or anything, are you. Oh no, we're not that bad.
- 16:54Speaker 6: I got a nice forward.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Oh okay, Well you sound like a nice guy, Wayne,
- 16:58Speaker 1: where I'm proud to have you in our audience. Thank you,
- 17:01Speaker 1: thanks for calling. Take care. Let's go to lou in
- 17:04Speaker 1: New Jersey. Lou How you doing, Hey, Mark, how are you?
- 17:09Speaker 7: Congratulations on the third hours for a long time listening.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, thanks, thanks.
- 17:14Speaker 7: Yeah. My name is My name is Lou Martini. You
- 17:16Speaker 7: may know me. I'm a working Arts've been around the
- 17:19Speaker 7: block a few times. And the dear dear friend of
- 17:21Speaker 7: any pastoors for me.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Of any pastor was a big pussy on the sopranos
- 17:25Speaker 1: they died.
- 17:26Speaker 7: Yeah, I know, you guys were talking about the funeral
- 17:29Speaker 7: the other day and I was there at the funeral
- 17:32Speaker 7: and it just was really disappointing on you know, a
- 17:34Speaker 7: lot of guys showed up, but a lot of guys
- 17:36Speaker 7: that didn't show up there.
- 17:37Speaker 1: So why do you think a lot of Stevie van
- 17:40Speaker 1: Zante was there, but why do you think the other
- 17:41Speaker 1: sopranos didn't show up?
- 17:43Speaker 7: Well, well, you know what, you've got an excuse if
- 17:45Speaker 7: you're working, if you're on a set, you work like
- 17:47Speaker 7: I was working on Wednesday, but I was able to
- 17:49Speaker 7: make the funeral on Thursday. I was shooting something on Wednesday,
- 17:51Speaker 7: but I was able to do it through. I don't know.
- 17:53Speaker 7: It reminded me of like when Joe Franklin.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Joe Franklin passed.
- 17:57Speaker 7: Memorial A lot of people should have showed up. He
- 18:00Speaker 7: put on the TV show for the first time. They
- 18:02Speaker 7: just didn't show up. People don't show up to these things.
- 18:04Speaker 7: I don't understand.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Joe may have exaggerated how many people they put on
- 18:07Speaker 1: the for the first time.
- 18:09Speaker 7: He threw a lot of he did put on a
- 18:12Speaker 7: lot of people.
- 18:13Speaker 1: He did. Yeah, well he did.
- 18:15Speaker 8: Uh.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Were you in the Sopranos?
- 18:17Speaker 7: Yeah, I played Anthony Fonte the last season. I did
- 18:19Speaker 7: five episodes. Who Donny Sex Brother? I solely eyeglasses. Yeah,
- 18:25Speaker 7: between Jimmy Gandolfini and Vince Kiritola and Vince was there.
- 18:29Speaker 7: Vince was there.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I remember. Yeah, you were the guy who would go
- 18:31Speaker 1: visit Johnny Sack in prison and tell him what Tony
- 18:34Speaker 1: said and he get mad and screamed.
- 18:35Speaker 7: Yeah, the coffee with the chickory scene everybody likes, and yeah,
- 18:38Speaker 7: it was fun. I know Vinny for forty years before
- 18:41Speaker 7: that too, so it was a great guy. Just one
- 18:43Speaker 7: of the time. And it's Lou Martini, right, yeah, Lou
- 18:47Speaker 7: Martini Junior like the drink.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Lou, thanks for calling, Thanks for checking in.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Let's go to Maara in Nevada. Mara, how you doing, Mark?
- 18:57Speaker 9: I love your extra hour, but I got up thirty.
- 19:01Speaker 9: I have to get up five thirty, Darling, if you
- 19:04Speaker 9: were only on the radio, I could be in bed
- 19:06Speaker 9: an extra hour with you. But I'm thrilled to death
- 19:10Speaker 9: with this time. So now here's why I'm calling Mark.
- 19:15Speaker 9: What do you think Hillary is thinking that a Casio
- 19:19Speaker 9: Cortes may be the number one for president in twenty
- 19:24Speaker 9: twenty eight and she was seven years of bartender and
- 19:29Speaker 9: eight is a congress person from a teeny teeny pot
- 19:33Speaker 9: of New York City.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Well, it's not a teeny part. It's a major district
- 19:37Speaker 1: in Queens. That district probably has a bigger population than
- 19:40Speaker 1: the most districts in Nevada. It's a big good it's
- 19:42Speaker 1: a big district. But even so, it's a good question. Well,
- 19:45Speaker 1: the answer is pretty simple. Hillary Clinton wants back in
- 19:48Speaker 1: the game. Hillary Clinton is like an old woman with
- 19:52Speaker 1: nothing to do. Is remember a Sunset Boulevard, Remember that
- 19:56Speaker 1: Norma Desmond and Sunset Boulevard, the old lady who wanted
- 19:59Speaker 1: to get her career year back and wanted to go
- 20:01Speaker 1: back into pictures. And remember she said, I'm still big.
- 20:06Speaker 1: It's the pictures that got small, the movies that got small.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Was Hillary wants to get back in the game. She
- 20:12Speaker 1: sees right, now there's no real front runner for twenty
- 20:15Speaker 1: twenty eight, and as a drunken old woman wandering around
- 20:18Speaker 1: her house, she thinks it could be her. Didn't no
- 20:22Speaker 1: chance at all. I mean, you think Schumer looks like
- 20:25Speaker 1: an old fossil to them, Hillary Clinton look at like
- 20:29Speaker 1: a really really really old, old, old, decaying old fossil
- 20:33Speaker 1: that Democrats have no interest in her. Let's go to
- 20:36Speaker 1: Josh in Brooklyn. Josh, how you doing.
- 20:39Speaker 4: I'm good, Mark, thank you for taking my call. So
- 20:42Speaker 4: I just wanted to say I work in an elected
- 20:44Speaker 4: official office in New York State, specifically in New York City,
- 20:49Speaker 4: and we're getting an influx of constituents saying that they
- 20:53Speaker 4: get their EBT and their snap let's say, maybe nine
- 20:57Speaker 4: am Monday morning when the dispersements come out, and then
- 21:01Speaker 4: six minutes later they get spent in locations all throughout
- 21:04Speaker 4: the city. And my hunches that it's an inside job.
- 21:09Speaker 4: Maybe the people who created the chips or the cards,
- 21:14Speaker 4: or the people that coded the program, the app ebt
- 21:17Speaker 4: edge or in on this, and the Trump admin needs
- 21:19Speaker 4: to get down to New York and go investigate the waste,
- 21:23Speaker 4: fraud and abuse.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Very good point, all right, interesting Josh, we'll pass that along,
- 21:28Speaker 1: thanks for calling. Yeah, a lot of waste and fraud
- 21:32Speaker 1: everywhere when it comes to medicaid. Medicare those centers that
- 21:38Speaker 1: Nick Shirley, I means so simple to catch him? He
- 21:41Speaker 1: got to like centers and queens that are getting ten
- 21:43Speaker 1: million in medicaid reimbursement. And then somebody shows up and
- 21:47Speaker 1: looks at it. It's a closed storefront. There's nobody in there.
- 21:49Speaker 1: It's not a real business. And that's a good point.
- 21:52Speaker 1: With the welfare cards. Government officials could be just sending
- 21:56Speaker 1: them to their selves and spending them immediately. A lot
- 22:00Speaker 1: of corruption. Anytime your taxpayer money is being spent, it's
- 22:05Speaker 1: very often a lot of corruption. Let's go to Rich
- 22:07Speaker 1: in New Jersey.
- 22:08Speaker 8: Rich, how you doing, Hey, Mark, I have a cousin.
- 22:12Speaker 8: Second cousin shows his face on Fox once in a while.
- 22:14Speaker 8: It's initials are jac. But in the meantime, Uh, my
- 22:19Speaker 8: father had a Cadillac. You said it not mean that's because.
- 22:25Speaker 1: We like or cousin.
- 22:27Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We get used to get together
- 22:32Speaker 8: a lot when his mom was alive. But in the
- 22:34Speaker 8: meantime we stopt of Cadillac.
- 22:38Speaker 1: How can we stopped talking to you. I don't know.
- 22:43Speaker 8: He just lost touch anyway out of Cadillac. In sixty
- 22:47Speaker 8: five months, he had a sixty five months stang down
- 22:49Speaker 8: the shore.
- 22:50Speaker 7: He had a boat. Now you can tax people have
- 22:52Speaker 7: more than one car.
- 22:53Speaker 8: That's not right.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Well that's a good point, very good point. Rich. Yeah,
- 22:57Speaker 1: with this Pierre tear tax. You're right. That's why you
- 23:01Speaker 1: got to stop this thing. If they can. Oh, you
- 23:02Speaker 1: got an extra apartment, we're gonna tax you. You have
- 23:05Speaker 1: more than a two cars, you got four cars, We're
- 23:08Speaker 1: gonna tax you. You're right, there's no end to this. I
- 23:11Speaker 1: think that's how the court will rule eventually. That is
- 23:13Speaker 1: just the illegal. It's a discriminatory tax. Hey, when we
- 23:17Speaker 1: come back, the brilliant columnist, Lizpeak, we'll talk to her
- 23:21Speaker 1: next on seven to ten. Wore on sevent tenor li
- 23:26Speaker 1: to New York Mark Simon, Well, this is right now,
- 23:30Speaker 1: the brilliant Lizpeak, the great columnist. You can read her
- 23:33Speaker 1: columns at Foxnews dot com, The Hill dot com. Check
- 23:38Speaker 1: out her website lizpeak dot com. There's always great stuff
- 23:41Speaker 1: there lizpeak dot com. Of course you'll see her all
- 23:44Speaker 1: over television. Lizpeak, how you doing I'm terrific.
- 23:48Speaker 10: How are you?
- 23:49Speaker 1: I'm good. How are the Democrats now? They got all
- 23:53Speaker 1: these crazy left wing kooks and this guy in Michigan.
- 23:56Speaker 1: You got Obama calling them, you got Newsom flying out
- 23:59Speaker 1: to see them. Are they making a mistake embracing this nonsense?
- 24:04Speaker 10: Well? I hope so.
- 24:05Speaker 2: I mean, you know, remember you've got Elsi Ed, the
- 24:09Speaker 2: progressive radical who won the primary Democrat primary, is going
- 24:14Speaker 2: to be running for Gary Peters Senate seat in Michigan
- 24:18Speaker 2: in November, and he's running against Mike Rogers. What's interesting
- 24:22Speaker 2: to me someone yesterday, Julian or the guest the day before,
- 24:27Speaker 2: Julian Epstein, a long time lifelong Democrat who worked for
- 24:31Speaker 2: Hillary Clinton very closely, was very involved in congressional legal
- 24:35Speaker 2: activities and so forth, came out and said, no, this
- 24:38Speaker 2: is not my party anymore and I'm going to vote
- 24:40Speaker 2: for Mike Rogers. Well, good for him. And what it
- 24:43Speaker 2: really sort of reminds you of that's the right position
- 24:47Speaker 2: for Democrats to take. But you have two kinds of.
- 24:50Speaker 10: Democrats, right Mark.
- 24:52Speaker 2: You have those who want to be president like Pete
- 24:54Speaker 2: Boudhage Edge and Gavin Newsom and Kamala Harris and they
- 24:58Speaker 2: will say or do anything to further their ambitions. Pete
- 25:03Speaker 2: Buddhajet right now is campaigning with Al Fayed. By the way,
- 25:08Speaker 2: who else campaigns with Al Fayed is the absolutely despicable
- 25:13Speaker 2: anti American, anti Semitic Hassan Piker. So that's a nice
- 25:17Speaker 2: trio right there. Gavin Newsom is running around the country
- 25:22Speaker 2: saying he supports a wealth tax. This is after he
- 25:25Speaker 2: basically said he didn't support one for California. But he
- 25:28Speaker 2: saw that needle move on the National Progressive you know,
- 25:33Speaker 2: kind of odometer showing that you had to be far
- 25:37Speaker 2: left to even be taken seriously as a presidential candidate
- 25:41Speaker 2: agent right on board with it. And you have Kamala
- 25:43Speaker 2: Harris who is now saying, yeah, you know, we really
- 25:46Speaker 2: should revisit the electoral college. Uh, and sure, packing the
- 25:50Speaker 2: Supreme Court makes sense. I mean, these people are cowards
- 25:55Speaker 2: in my view. They are disgraced to their party, and
- 25:58Speaker 2: it's really nice to see like Julian Epstein. And by
- 26:02Speaker 2: the way, you've heard little rumblings from Hillary Clinton and
- 26:06Speaker 2: a few others saying no, we don't, we're not on
- 26:10Speaker 2: board with this stuff. It's absurd and a lot of
- 26:12Speaker 2: it Mark. A lot of it is just playing childish
- 26:16Speaker 2: fantasy land getting rid of police, for example, which is
- 26:20Speaker 2: one of the DSA prime planks in their platform. And
- 26:24Speaker 2: when asked, well, wait a minute, what if someone rapes
- 26:27Speaker 2: my daughter and shouldn't that person be punished, they goes, oh, yeah,
- 26:31Speaker 2: you know, that's of course it'd be punished. Well if
- 26:33Speaker 2: there's no prisons, because they want to abolish prisons and.
- 26:35Speaker 10: No police, how do you do that?
- 26:37Speaker 2: Oh, I don't want to get caught up in a hypothetical.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I mean, come on, these are not serious people, and
- 26:43Speaker 2: we're seeing in the case of mom Donnie, for example,
- 26:46Speaker 2: in New.
- 26:46Speaker 10: York City, he's not a serious person.
- 26:48Speaker 2: He can't he can talk on video, he's a great TikToker,
- 26:53Speaker 2: but when it comes to actually implementing a policy like
- 26:56Speaker 2: his piano ter attacks, Yeah, you can say it should
- 26:58Speaker 2: go into effect, and it's been totally totally botched, and
- 27:02Speaker 2: now a judge is said, no, this can't stand.
- 27:04Speaker 10: So you know, I.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Really am discouraged that the Democratic Party is sort of
- 27:13Speaker 2: just imploding in our very in front of us, and
- 27:18Speaker 2: there's just so few people with any kind of principle
- 27:21Speaker 2: or moral backbone of that party.
- 27:25Speaker 10: To stand up and say no, we are not anti Chow.
- 27:28Speaker 2: We're not going to be eliminating the institutions that have
- 27:33Speaker 2: made this country great for two hundred and fifty years.
- 27:35Speaker 10: Shame on them. Yeah, well that's my rant for the.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Day's brilliant as always. But now they believe they cannot
- 27:42Speaker 1: hold the Senate. They can't win the Senate unless they
- 27:44Speaker 1: win Michigan. They've got to win Michigan to win the Senate.
- 27:47Speaker 1: So that explains Chuck Schumer helping elsayad. But Pete Buddhajudge,
- 27:52Speaker 1: all he's thinking is twenty twenty eight, So that's right.
- 27:55Speaker 2: He said, he just wants Pete buddhaj Edge up there
- 27:58Speaker 2: in lights.
- 27:58Speaker 10: Give me a break. What is this.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Guy's pretension to becoming a presidential candidate. He was a
- 28:06Speaker 2: complete disaster in the Biden administration.
- 28:09Speaker 10: As you may.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Remember, he was the guy that was to be in
- 28:12Speaker 2: charge of fixing our supply change during COVID and you know,
- 28:16Speaker 2: helping kind of put the make sure the country worked.
- 28:20Speaker 10: Well it didn't, and he was.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Nowhere to be found because he had taken paternity leave,
- 28:26Speaker 2: you know, because he and his partner had adopted a child,
- 28:30Speaker 2: and he was gone for weeks and weeks on end
- 28:32Speaker 2: while the country was truly in crisis.
- 28:35Speaker 10: No.
- 28:35Speaker 2: No, he does not get my vote, and he certainly
- 28:37Speaker 2: shouldn't get anyone else's.
- 28:39Speaker 1: But he's a calculating guy and he wants twenty twenty eight.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Is he believe now that this is the way to
- 28:45Speaker 1: twenty twenty eight? That the nominee is going to be
- 28:46Speaker 1: whoever's woke and crazy like this?
- 28:50Speaker 10: One hundred percent?
- 28:51Speaker 1: Wow?
- 28:52Speaker 10: I mean that that's basically what that's what he's hoping.
- 28:57Speaker 2: I mean, but it's all kind of to moment politicking, right,
- 29:02Speaker 2: because this is the flavor of the moment. One thing
- 29:06Speaker 2: that does make me laugh is that AOC actually hasn't
- 29:11Speaker 2: chumped on board every single one of these campaigns, and
- 29:14Speaker 2: now she's kind of fading I don't. I mean, her
- 29:16Speaker 2: star seems to be losing luster because she's not left enough.
- 29:20Speaker 10: Good lord.
- 29:22Speaker 2: You know, look, some of these people, when they're interviewed,
- 29:25Speaker 2: come across as children, really, I mean, unable to really
- 29:31Speaker 2: articulate a policy that makes any sense, contradicting themselves, being
- 29:36Speaker 2: utterly incapable of translating a SoundBite that's great on TikTok
- 29:42Speaker 2: into actually rational activity. That might help a country or
- 29:46Speaker 2: a state or city. Again, you know, though, I'm Donnie,
- 29:50Speaker 2: it's going to really be an interesting person to watch
- 29:52Speaker 2: because he has surrounded himself with totally incapable people, with
- 29:58Speaker 2: a full exception of Jessica to He's offended nearly every
- 30:02Speaker 2: group in town, including by sending out a notice about
- 30:08Speaker 2: his piano terere tax. First of all, posting online nine
- 30:11Speaker 2: hundred thousand.
- 30:12Speaker 10: Names or whatever it was, andresses.
- 30:14Speaker 2: They could be, and addresses, effectively dosing a good portion
- 30:19Speaker 2: of the city. Turns out any number of those names
- 30:24Speaker 2: were actually wrong, so they only sent out a few
- 30:27Speaker 2: thousand actually tax bills. But these tax bills are being
- 30:31Speaker 2: challenged left and right because a lot.
- 30:33Speaker 10: Of these people, these are their primary residents. They aren't
- 30:36Speaker 10: doing You know, again, what were his what's his background
- 30:40Speaker 10: for running a city of eight million people? Zero?
- 30:44Speaker 2: And you know, at some point doesn't that matter? People
- 30:47Speaker 2: could the Democrats could say, well, wait a minute, you know,
- 30:51Speaker 2: Donald Trump had no political experience, that's true, but he
- 30:54Speaker 2: had management experience. And when you actually are a administrator,
- 30:58Speaker 2: if you're a mayor or your governor, you're actually running things,
- 31:02Speaker 2: and then these people have absolutely no clue how to
- 31:05Speaker 2: do that.
- 31:06Speaker 1: So these Mom Dani supporters, when are they going to
- 31:09Speaker 1: realize it's just talk. There's no free buses, all these things.
- 31:13Speaker 10: I don't know, it's a good question.
- 31:16Speaker 2: It's probably when the Internet crashes and all these social
- 31:19Speaker 2: media bots out there that are hyping every It makes
- 31:22Speaker 2: me laugh to go online and say, oh, see what
- 31:24Speaker 2: a democrat can do.
- 31:26Speaker 10: Free buses. No bus is harn't free.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Sorry, you know that actually is something he talked about,
- 31:32Speaker 2: but no, he actually hasn't done that.
- 31:34Speaker 10: So there's a lot of confusion.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Amongst young people in particular, who may have college degrees
- 31:41Speaker 2: but are appallingly ignorant about what actually is happening in
- 31:45Speaker 2: the world and what socialism means, and why why it
- 31:48Speaker 2: doesn't work, why it hasn't worked historically, and that message.
- 31:54Speaker 10: You know, they just.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Have to grow up and kind of read read about socialism,
- 31:58Speaker 2: read history, figure out what actually has happened in the world,
- 32:02Speaker 2: and then maybe they'll get they get wiser.
- 32:04Speaker 10: About Mom Donnie.
- 32:05Speaker 2: But to your point, at some point people are going
- 32:08Speaker 2: to say, well, wait a minute, this really he hasn't
- 32:10Speaker 2: delivered on this stuff.
- 32:11Speaker 10: Why would I vote for him again?
- 32:13Speaker 1: Yeah, But speaking of all this messaging. As far as
- 32:17Speaker 1: the midterms, Republicans, do they have enough met they don't
- 32:21Speaker 1: have any messaging. How are they going to fix that problem?
- 32:25Speaker 2: Well, I mean I wrote about this in The Hill
- 32:27Speaker 2: last week. It is a really good question.
- 32:30Speaker 10: Right now.
- 32:31Speaker 2: The Republicans are riding on the fact that they're not communists.
- 32:37Speaker 2: You know, that's not really very solid. They're talking about
- 32:42Speaker 2: some are going home and talking up the benefits of
- 32:45Speaker 2: the Big Beautiful Bill, which by the way, were multiple,
- 32:49Speaker 2: particularly if you're a tip receiver, if you're on overtime,
- 32:55Speaker 2: guess what, You've got a nice tax break from President Trump.
- 32:58Speaker 10: But in my view of the Republicans not done.
- 33:00Speaker 2: A good job this year in coming up with a
- 33:04Speaker 2: message that really sells America. You know, interestingly, again, Julian Epstein,
- 33:10Speaker 2: lifelong Democrat who came out and said he was going
- 33:12Speaker 2: to vote for Mike Rogers in Michigan.
- 33:15Speaker 10: I love the fact.
- 33:16Speaker 2: That he actually sort of encapsulated the economic truth of
- 33:21Speaker 2: the Republicans versus Democratic argument, and he said, you know,
- 33:27Speaker 2: people in my to I don't want people in my
- 33:30Speaker 2: tent who don't have any interest in building something but
- 33:33Speaker 2: only wanted to redistribute it. You know what, a great comment. Right,
- 33:37Speaker 2: where are the Republicans on that? Because that's the heart
- 33:41Speaker 2: of this issue, isn't it. It's we're going to have
- 33:43Speaker 2: takers and makers. Do you want to be a maker?
- 33:46Speaker 2: Do you want to applaud and elect people who promote makers,
- 33:50Speaker 2: who build our economy, who bring in good jobs, et cetera.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Or do you just want to absolutely take that maker
- 33:59Speaker 2: and say no, you're doing too well. We're going to
- 34:02Speaker 2: tax the heck out of you and redistribute your additions,
- 34:06Speaker 2: your contribution to all the people who are not doing anything.
- 34:10Speaker 2: But you have a million people not in the workforce
- 34:12Speaker 2: marketing problem, and we do have a problem.
- 34:14Speaker 7: Wow.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Well brilliant as always, Liz Peak. You should read your
- 34:17Speaker 1: columns at Foxnews dot com, Orthehill dot com. Check out
- 34:21Speaker 1: our website lizpeak dot com. Always great stuff there lizpeak
- 34:26Speaker 1: dot com, watch her on television and Liz Peak. Thanks
- 34:29Speaker 1: for being with us.
- 34:30Speaker 10: Hey, thanks so much for having me. Take care, Take.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Care, Hey, don't forget. The show is now three hours
- 34:36Speaker 1: every day, nine to noon, nine to noon every day.
- 34:40Speaker 1: We start at nine o'clock now, so you get three hours.
- 34:42Speaker 1: If you're a podcast listener, you get an extra hour
- 34:44Speaker 1: to listen to every day, and don't forget it. Noon
- 34:48Speaker 1: it'll be Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. Now they're really
- 34:50Speaker 1: good every day from noon to three. And then you
- 34:54Speaker 1: got the most listened to radio show in America, Sean
- 34:57Speaker 1: Hannity at three, you got Jesse Kelly at six, and
- 35:01Speaker 1: the funniest show on radio. You got great Jimmy Fayla
- 35:06Speaker 1: every night nine to midnight. Here on seven ten WR.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Mark Simone on seven ten WR.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Well, it's gonna be a hot day to day. It'll
- 35:20Speaker 1: feel a little sticky. Today's chance of a thunderstorm later
- 35:24Speaker 1: this afternoon, and then less humid tomorrow, less humid for
- 35:28Speaker 1: the rest of the week. By the weekend, weather should
- 35:30Speaker 1: be pretty nice, back into the mid eighties, and not
- 35:35Speaker 1: a bad weekend. But today, for instance, one o'clock today,
- 35:39Speaker 1: temperature eighty eight. We'll feel one hundred. So this was
- 35:44Speaker 1: supposed to be the greatest summer. Remember how we waited
- 35:47Speaker 1: and waited and waited for summer. And it's been the weirdest,
