I wrote an article with the same title in the fall of 2021. We in law enforcement were reeling. Police were leaving in record numbers. Staffing was crumbling- or beyond wrecked across the country in departments large and small.Upon reading it now, I force myself to be hopeful. Applicants and recruits are showing up in my department and region. Yet, we still have a long ways to go.
