- 0:00In a moment, what can life on our neighboring?
- 0:02World teach us about ourselves. That's coming up on the Rancho.
- 0:07Radio Podcast. I want this to be the most.
- 0:19Explosive episode. I've ever done.
- 0:22I want every person who hears. This episode to share it.
- 0:26With 10 people, and I want those ten people to share it with 10
- 0:30other people. Think about it.
- 0:32What is the world obsessed with? If there was one question that
- 0:37every human being could ask. What would it be?
- 0:40I mean. Besides the.
- 0:42Question about. Life after death, What is the
- 0:45big question? Well, we.
- 0:47Already know what the Urantia book says?
- 0:48About life after death. It confirms it.
- 0:51It not only confirms it, it. Provides a rich.
- 0:54Detailed narrative of the eternally scaffolding existence.
- 0:58That follows. What this is, is preschool.
- 1:02We are in preschool on this planet and when we graduate
- 1:06from. Preschool, we will.
- 1:07Go on to Jerusalem, where we start to learn the language of
- 1:11the system and we learn about philosophies and service, and we
- 1:15spend maybe a few 100 or maybe a few thousand years being taught
- 1:19this cosmic alphabet. We learn who's who and the do's
- 1:24and the don'ts living as Marancha beings in a Marancha
- 1:28society, ascenders who retain the valuable lessons of
- 1:32preschool, of pre existence. That's a pretty good example of
- 1:36what the Orancha book shares and it is such a powerful message.
- 1:41I mean, I've dedicated over 200 podcasts, each one stepping you
- 1:45through the myriad of details that make up.
- 1:48The 5th epical. Revelation.
- 1:50And there is a reason they call it.
- 1:52Epical. Because we're not only getting
- 1:55our own history. Told back to.
- 1:56Us getting all the missing pieces that time has forgotten
- 2:00but think about. The fact.
- 2:02That for 996,000 years of man's existence we only started
- 2:08writing things down a few 1000. Years ago this.
- 2:11Explains why we have so many legends.
- 2:14And stories. Of strange things, fables, lore
- 2:18and some fragments of truth the Urantia book tells.
- 2:22US. Someday more people will want to
- 2:24know about it, but not. Today.
- 2:27Today there are. So many challenges, it's hard.
- 2:30To keep up. In some ways, things are
- 2:32miraculous. Last year for.
- 2:34Example the United States. Created over a. 1000 new
- 2:37millionaires. The global mortality.
- 2:40Rate is as low as it's ever. Been more people have access to
- 2:44information than ever before and the.
- 2:46Literacy rate is also as low. As it's ever been in a human
- 2:51history. So there are some good things
- 2:53about us. Our unseen friends say we are
- 2:56making. Progress, but we are also.
- 2:59Beset by many challenges, and chief among them is our lack of
- 3:03understanding of spiritual. Truth we are.
- 3:06Mostly ignorant to what is happening beyond.
- 3:09Our scope of. Vision.
- 3:11We are unaware. There is a spiritual.
- 3:14Agency that surrounds us, we just don't see them.
- 3:17Truths and literal. Agencies behind the scenes.
- 3:20Who rule? In the kingdoms of men.
- 3:23This is why they gave us the Urantia book to tell.
- 3:26Us, what's going on in our universe, They want us to know.
- 3:30They also went a step. Further.
- 3:32And told us. About this other world our
- 3:36sisters fear. And they tell.
- 3:38Us what life is like there. I wish people.
- 3:42Listening to me right now could really grasp the impact of that.
- 3:46Statement because today the whole world.
- 3:49Is fascinated. By the idea.
- 3:51Of life on other worlds. We've been asking that question
- 3:55for as long as humanity has been around.
- 3:58Even the Cavemen were drawing spaceships and weird robot
- 4:02looking creatures. So the notion of a world that is
- 4:05similar to our own. Should.
- 4:07Set the world on fire. The.
- 4:10Audaciousness of this. Book taking the incredulous
- 4:13step. Of informing us of this.
- 4:16True Sister sphere. Probably not too.
- 4:19Far away either, Perhaps a few. Solar systems over.
- 4:23But it's there, just like we're here.
- 4:26What does it say about this world?
- 4:28A lot in. Fact they start.
- 4:31Off by telling us why they're sharing this off world
- 4:34information with us. They said it's because of.
- 4:37Two things the extraordinarily similar circumstances.
- 4:41Both our worlds have. Faced in our past and the second
- 4:45thing, which is probably the more important of the two, They
- 4:48want to help us, they know. What our societal.
- 4:51Challenges are and they want to show us what these races on this
- 4:55other world are. Doing to progress.
- 4:58Towards a more. Peaceful and less regressive
- 5:01culture. Reaching for that pinnacle.
- 5:03We are told is the era. Of light and life.
- 5:07Which all. Evolutionary worlds are intended
- 5:10to do just in saying what I have said.
- 5:13Addresses several subjects. At once #1 The narrative of this
- 5:18life on another world establishes a context.
- 5:21That states life is elsewhere. And we are not alone #2 it.
- 5:26Provides for the. Notion that life forms.
- 5:29Have a specific path of. Evolution that, while not
- 5:33identical, favors a certain path the evolution of intellectually
- 5:37insightful bipedal. Races.
- 5:40And these races of men and women are in fact common on
- 5:43evolutionary worlds. And then number.
- 5:46Three by. Providing this narrative of our
- 5:49neighboring world, we are being simultaneously informed.
- 5:53That worlds are observed. Most likely in the same way that
- 5:57our world is being observed. Imagine.
- 6:01How our world leaders would behave.
- 6:03Knowing that they were being observed by an advanced.
- 6:07Species of super. Material and angelic beings, Do
- 6:11you think they would start to behave differently?
- 6:14I would think that they would, and this is perhaps the point.
- 6:18They want us to know, they know about us and they also
- 6:23administer to us. To keep our races on a.
- 6:27Proper path. If you look at the wars, the
- 6:30cities. Crumbling, the build up towards
- 6:32more wars and the sinking feeling that people are getting
- 6:36about society in general. It might bring comfort to our
- 6:41world to know that we are not alone and this paper on a
- 6:45neighboring planet, not only. Declares the fact, but also
- 6:49offers. Guidance in solving our own.
- 6:52Terrestrial problems. It's.
- 6:55Probably one of the most. Powerful chapters.
- 6:58In the entire Urantia book and it.
- 7:00Deserves a good. Examination.
- 7:19Paper 72. Opens with a.
- 7:21Story about this. World and how it has.
- 7:24Evolved. Along a similar path to our own.
- 7:29So on this world we are. Told there are. 11 continents
- 7:33and the world is mostly. A savage place.
- 7:36But the most advanced continent on this planet?
- 7:39Is described as. Being about the size of the land
- 7:42mass of Australia and there are on this continent, within the
- 7:46borders of this country, 100 free.
- 7:49States each with. Its own governor, but under the
- 7:52control. Of what appears to be a.
- 7:54Republic similar to our own. We have 50 states under a
- 7:58federal government like us. This government is roughly
- 8:02comprised of about 100 million people, and the government is
- 8:07very similar to our own. It has an executive branch, a
- 8:11judicial branch, and a representative upper and lower
- 8:14House of lawmakers, very similar to our own government and many
- 8:19other Western democracies. To be sure.
- 8:21So I think they're trying to draw that comparison also like
- 8:26our own government. There are states, as I mentioned
- 8:28100 and all, and they have a strong.
- 8:31Level of state. Government as well as smaller
- 8:33district bodies, again, not unlike we have city councils and
- 8:38state houses or assemblies. Now the authors.
- 8:40Tell us this. Government was formed about 200
- 8:44years ago, similar to our own and they.
- 8:46Too had slavery. Until it was abolished around
- 8:50100 years ago now, at the time of the writing of the Urantia
- 8:54book. So along the same line timeline.
- 8:57Abolished slavery. Around the time that we did here
- 9:00on our world, the Urantia book says other similarities.
- 9:04Are the fact that they. Too had an Adam and Eve.
- 9:07That defaulted they too. Had a planetary Prince who
- 9:11joined the Lucifer rebellion similar to what we experienced
- 9:15according the Urantia book when Calagastia threw in his lot with
- 9:19Lucifer and Satan and they too on this.
- 9:22World have endured without the guidance of a spiritual.
- 9:25Influence that is normally afforded evolutionary worlds so
- 9:30in these. Ways.
- 9:31They're very similar to our own planet and this point.
- 9:36Establishes the fact that all. Worlds are normally.
- 9:39Exposed to. Advanced spiritual personalities
- 9:43in the early. Years of its.
- 9:45Evolution. That would be.
- 9:46Considered normal. Our world and this other world
- 9:49are considered abnormal. On our world, and apparently on
- 9:53this other world, we were. Deprived of that.
- 9:56Early spiritual knowledge and that explains why we continue to
- 10:00have so much turmoil. What the?
- 10:02Revelators also inform us is that unlike.
- 10:06Our world this. Other world did not get the
- 10:08visitation of a divine Son as. We were blessed with a bestowal
- 10:14of Jesus. There is mention, however, that
- 10:17a magisterial Son of Light could soon come to our sister.
- 10:21World. And that this country is slowly
- 10:24evolving towards enlightenment, increased and improved social
- 10:29conduct and is moving away from its belligerent past.
- 10:33Meanwhile, they. Also tell us.
- 10:35That the rest of the nations on this planet.
- 10:38Are quite barbaric by their. Standards Try to imagine what
- 10:42that might be like to be surrounded by other continents
- 10:45where they're. They're brutal.
- 10:47And they have. Dictatorships.
- 10:49And are very. Warlike, it's not.
- 10:50Actually, that hard to imagine at all is.
- 10:52It they. Also mentioned that the country
- 10:55is self-sufficient due to. The Topography.
- 10:57Of the planet and their nation, and they have plenty of local.
- 11:01Resources. So they don't have to deal.
- 11:04With their less. Civilized neighbors, do you want
- 11:06to hear about their home life? Or how about?
- 11:08Their political government. These subjects are covered as
- 11:11well as how. They run their government, who
- 11:14they educate and how they. Educate their children how they.
- 11:17Deal with crime and how they. Deal with healthcare.
- 11:20And taxation, judging from the description of this nation, it.
- 11:25Appears they are at about the place where we were.
- 11:28At the 20th century, they're definitely in the machine age to
- 11:32be. Sure.
- 11:33But I'm not. Sure, if certain.
- 11:35Things. Were withheld because.
- 11:37Of our own status at the time the Arantia book was written.
- 11:41They may have had computers and airplanes or an Internet.
- 11:45It's unlikely that their technology would have been.
- 11:48Revealed to us. I think the mandate limits what
- 11:52they can tell. Us however what they did
- 11:55disclose forces us to re evaluate the way that.
- 11:58We do things on our. World which I.
- 12:00Think was the point. So let's take a minute to gather
- 12:04our thoughts and in a moment. We'll take a look at the the way
- 12:07these. People live on this world.
- 12:09Our sisters fears. Somewhere out there, in a Galaxy
- 12:13far away. Now before.
- 12:22We take our deep dive. Some things we are not.
- 12:24Told IS. How many Suns they have, for
- 12:27example, or if they have a moon. They're very good.
- 12:30At not disclosing information that might aid our astronomers
- 12:35and being. Able to locate this world.
- 12:37Good idea. We also don't know about the
- 12:40length of a year. But they do tell us that the
- 12:42average. Lifespan on this nation is 90.
- 12:46They also. Appear to be a mixture of the
- 12:47blue and yellow races. Which for us would be.
- 12:51Like a race of mixed Anglo-Saxon and Chinese.
- 12:55They also tell. Us that no metropolitan area can
- 12:58have more than 1,000,000 residents and that every family
- 13:02home is mandated to have at. Least 30. 1000 square feet.
- 13:06And that the moral training of children comes from the home,
- 13:10not from schools. Agriculture is also.
- 13:14Hugely popular on this world, they teach it in schools,
- 13:18families have farms and there is a competitive nature to this
- 13:23agrarian society. Horticulture on this world is
- 13:26not seen as punishment, but a human endeavor with regard.
- 13:30To. Policies.
- 13:31It mirrors much of what the United States is doing.
- 13:33There are. Parties, there's an.
- 13:35Executive leader people. Who are in politics must go
- 13:39through statesmanship. School.
- 13:42Great idea. One side note, people who get
- 13:45elected can also. Face fierce.
- 13:48Penalties, even death. If they cheat or steal or
- 13:53display. An abuse of.
- 13:54Power. On this world.
- 13:56Public loyalty is. Deemed a supreme trust and those
- 14:00who. Violate it.
- 14:01Face serious penalties we are told some things about.
- 14:05How they deal? With crime, Which?
- 14:07They describe as. Shocking by our standards.
- 14:11But they also. Tell us the crime rate in this
- 14:13nation is 110th. Of what we.
- 14:16Experience In most Western nations, most criminals are sent
- 14:21to agricultural fields and people who face jail time must
- 14:25still contribute to society by learning a skill.
- 14:29They inform us that everyone works on this nation and it is
- 14:33considered slothful to not work. Or have a.
- 14:36Job even shameful even the richest person in the country,
- 14:40they say. Has a job.
- 14:42And that the. Average work day is 6 hours that
- 14:45public. Service is deemed a very high
- 14:47honor education appears very different and the way they.
- 14:51Teach in school is. Fascinating, actually.
- 14:54Students are instructed. To teach the students.
- 14:56Behind them. Teachers teach by oratory.
- 15:00And they emphasize hands on instruction.
- 15:04Schools compete in this way, and the whole philosophy of industry
- 15:08is not so much profit as it is a meritocracy.
- 15:12A pursuit of. Excellence.
- 15:14There is obviously much more detail.
- 15:16To all of this but the take away.
- 15:18Is that if human beings were. Really, seriously curious.
- 15:22About what life might. Be like out there we have.
- 15:26In our possession. A realistic portrayal.
- 15:29Of one such. World.
- 15:30Similar to our own that we can study and learn from with the
- 15:35hopes of improving our life here on.
- 15:36Earth. Perhaps this?
- 15:38Becomes one of the most. Important Chapters.
- 15:41In. The entire book because it is
- 15:44actually applicable. To the here and now, something
- 15:47that we can actually learn from and try on our own.
- 15:51In fact, in looking at this. Besides the Jesus?
- 15:55Papers. I'm not sure there is a more
- 15:57important section in the Urantia book than this section.
- 16:02Paper 72. If it's true.
- 16:06Like many things in the Urantia book.
- 16:08Appear to be. Then this.
- 16:11Paper will have scholars. Academics and philosophers
- 16:16talking about it for centuries. And who knows, maybe one day we
- 16:20may even connect with the. People.
- 16:23Of this neighboring planet. I find it fascinating, so much
- 16:28so that I really wanted to dig deep into this episode.
- 16:32I want you to ask me a question if you've got a question about
- 16:35the Urantia book. In fact, that's one thing that I
- 16:38wish more people would do. I created the website so that
- 16:42you could very easily. Send a message.
- 16:44You don't have to sign up for anything and you can even leave
- 16:48a comment or you can leave a voicemail.
- 16:52The Rancho Radio. Podcast the website.
- 16:54Is your Rancho. Radio.org.
- 16:57Thank you for joining me on this.
- 16:58Episode and we'll talk real soon.
