In 1999, he arrived in Los Angeles with no job, very little money, and only the possibility that something part-time might eventually open up. What followed was a career at KBIG, Dial Global, KFI, and KNX—along with long commutes, nightclub broadcasts, career reinventions, a few awards, and more layoffs than anyone should have to endure.

Now, as Rob prepares to leave Los Angeles for a new chapter at WSB in Atlanta, he looks back at the people and unlikely turns that helped transform a disc jockey into a broadcast journalist.
