- 0:00Speaker 1: Drop it.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Big 98.7.
- 0:08Speaker 1: The big glow-up is here.
- 0:10Speaker 3: You have a chance to win $ 1, 000 to spend at
- 0:13Speaker 3: the Wellness District. Text GLOW to 701-280-1987 to get in
- 0:19Speaker 3: to win. And we talk a lot about how we
- 0:21Speaker 3: can't win the big glow-up. And I just think of
- 0:25Speaker 3: what an awesome moment to, you know, set yourself up
- 0:28Speaker 3: for success this fall. You had a summer glow-up. You
- 0:31Speaker 3: want to continue that into the fall. And it always
- 0:34Speaker 3: reminds me, you know that– What's that Taylor Swift song?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Cruel Summer. The shape of your body is blue.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Well, if Taylor Swift was going to sing that song
- 0:43Speaker 3: about my body, I think this is how it would sound.
- 0:46Speaker 1: And it's new. The shape of your body is boo
- 0:51Speaker 1: this man. Boo! That's why I need a glow up
- 0:54Speaker 1: right there.
- 0:54Speaker 2: That's why you need a glow up? Because people boo
- 0:57Speaker 2: your body?
- 0:58Speaker 1: Taylor Swift was going to sing that about me. The
- 1:00Speaker 1: shape of your body is boo this man.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Not that we're body shaming this morning. If you're body shaming.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yourself, I feel like it's fine. Okay, if she was
- 1:11Speaker 2: singing that song about my body, this is what it
- 1:14Speaker 2: would sound like.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Glue.
- 1:20Speaker 5: Glue.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Just a melting.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Glue.
- 1:22Speaker 2: That's how I feel that my body is just melting.
- 1:28Speaker 2: My face, my arms, just a gluey, ugly mess. That's
- 1:33Speaker 2: why I need a glow up. But again, I can't
- 1:36Speaker 2: win it. That's right.
- 1:38Speaker 5: That's what you guys think. Oh, no, no, no. Taylor
- 1:40Speaker 5: Swift is singing.
- 1:40Speaker 1: About my body. This is what we got. That's right.
- 1:50Speaker 1: We're going straight.
- 1:51Speaker 5: Despicable me. 100% despicable me. Gru. I need to do
- 1:56Speaker 5: something about my roundness right here.
- 1:59Speaker 1: And yeah, Gru. You know, that's fine.
- 2:02Speaker 5: We're all our own worst critic, right?
- 2:03Speaker 1: That's why we need glow up sometimes.
- 2:05Speaker 2: For the record, I would not boo your body. And
- 2:08Speaker 2: I don't think.
- 2:08Speaker 1: You look like Gru. I don't think you're like glue
- 2:11Speaker 1: either there, girl. That's right.
- 2:14Speaker 3: And if you would like a shot at that big
- 2:16Speaker 3: glow up that us three all desperately want.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I don't want to say need.
- 2:22Speaker 2: We would like it, but we can't. So we want
- 2:25Speaker 2: you to win it. So text GLOW, G-L-O-W to 701-280-1987.
- 2:31Speaker 2: And that thousand dollars to the wellness district could be yours.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Celebrating life's little victories. Every morning we practice gratitude on
- 2:44Speaker 1: Big 98.7. If I could, I would keep this feeling
- 2:48Speaker 1: in a plastic jar. Bust it out whenever someone's acting hard.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Share your little victories with us at 701-280-1987. Kids, I
- 2:54Speaker 1: also needed a win that day. Megan, why don't you
- 3:00Speaker 1: lead it off for us? Do you have a little
- 3:01Speaker 1: victory today?
- 3:02Speaker 5: I do have a little victory today. Actually, it happened
- 3:05Speaker 5: on my way out this morning to work. I was
- 3:07Speaker 5: about to leave and I look down at my water
- 3:11Speaker 5: mug and I'm like, wait, it is October 1st. So
- 3:15Speaker 5: I can move into I have a football mug, by
- 3:17Speaker 5: the way. I have a touchdown mug. and breast cancer
- 3:21Speaker 5: month mug specifically for October. And I remembered as I
- 3:25Speaker 5: was walking out, I'm like, got to switch my cup.
- 3:27Speaker 5: And I did.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Check it out.
- 3:31Speaker 5: Thank you. Thank you very much.
- 3:32Speaker 1: We might have to get a photo of that on Facebook.
- 3:34Speaker 3: That's like the perfect mug for today.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Angie, do you have a little victory for us?
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Yesterday I picked Liam up from school. He gets
- 3:43Speaker 2: in the car and he says, I have to tell
- 3:46Speaker 2: you the best news ever, which immediately I'm like, OK,
- 3:49Speaker 2: tell me. And the class had to pick who they
- 3:53Speaker 2: thought was one of the best leaders in the classroom.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And they chose Liam. He was so excited.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:03Speaker 2: He said, I'm really so proud of myself. I was like, yeah,
- 4:06Speaker 2: you should be proud of yourself.
- 4:08Speaker 1: That's very cool.
- 4:09Speaker 2: And then I gave him a donut because, you know,
- 4:11Speaker 2: I ordered Sandy's donuts yesterday. And I was like, guess what?
- 4:14Speaker 2: I got you a donut to celebrate. He's like, could
- 4:17Speaker 2: this day get any better? It's like a win-win.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:20Speaker 2: So I'm really happy for Liam.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Good for you. Good for Liam.
- 4:23Speaker 3: My little victory yesterday was my anniversary. And Corey, I
- 4:28Speaker 3: was kind of on baby shift. Corey made one of
- 4:31Speaker 3: my favorite meals of all time for dinner. And we
- 4:34Speaker 3: sat and we ate it. For 47 seconds, and then
- 4:38Speaker 3: she had to go feed Kaylee because she was fussy.
- 4:39Speaker 3: So we had 40 seconds of romantic bliss at.
- 4:42Speaker 1: The kitchen table.
- 4:43Speaker 2: What was the dinner?
- 4:44Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's really not like some big extravagant thing,
- 4:48Speaker 3: but it's spaghetti, and we actually did the garlic toast
- 4:55Speaker 3: with broccoli, but she puts cream of mushroom in with
- 5:00Speaker 3: the meat and the red sauce. Oh, and for whatever reason,
- 5:04Speaker 3: she showed me this. Her mom did it for her
- 5:06Speaker 3: growing up and she showed me this like last year.
- 5:08Speaker 1: It is incredible.
- 5:10Speaker 5: It is.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I never would have guessed it'd be any good, but
- 5:13Speaker 3: it is super, super good.
- 5:14Speaker 5: That is such a Midwestern thing. Just add a can
- 5:17Speaker 5: of cream of mushroom soup and it's.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Going to be delicious.
- 5:20Speaker 1: You can add it to anything.
- 5:21Speaker 2: It's just spaghetti.
- 5:22Speaker 5: I love this.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I want to try it now. Yeah, you should.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Someone make this tonight and let us know how you
- 5:27Speaker 2: feel about it.
- 5:28Speaker 3: And of course, then I sat there and ate by
- 5:30Speaker 3: myself for 10 minutes and then Corey got to eat
- 5:33Speaker 3: by herself for 10 minutes. But we did have those
- 5:36Speaker 3: 47 seconds of pure, I.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Don't know, anniversary bliss.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right.
- 5:41Speaker 3: On the way, we have Huntrix the Big Scrolls also
- 5:43Speaker 3: coming up. And if you have a little victory, let
- 5:45Speaker 3: us know at 701-280-1987.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Big 98.7.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Spooky season, yeah. Yes.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Spooky season.
- 5:56Speaker 5: This is like Angie's like Christmas right now.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I'm so excited.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I will put my guard down now for you. Good.
- 6:03Speaker 2: So obviously, what are, are you dressing up for Halloween? Megan,
- 6:07Speaker 2: are you dressing up for Halloween?
- 6:08Speaker 1: Always.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Always. See, I like that. Gabe, you have a new bebe.
- 6:13Speaker 5: Oh.
- 6:14Speaker 1: That is right. We do know what Kaylee is going
- 6:15Speaker 1: to be for Halloween, yeah.
- 6:17Speaker 5: Do you?
- 6:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we found this. If you're a Harry Potter fan,
- 6:21Speaker 1: we found a.
- 6:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:23Speaker 1: A white... baby Hedwig. So the owl in Harry Potter.
- 6:29Speaker 2: This is amazing.
- 6:29Speaker 5: So wait, are you going as a family? Are you
- 6:31Speaker 5: going to dress as Harry Potter then?
- 6:33Speaker 2: Oh, good point. Right?
- 6:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Are you dressing up?
- 6:37Speaker 1: Well, I'm kind of waiting to see what my wife
- 6:39Speaker 1: tells me I'm going to be for Halloween.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Harry Potter.
- 6:41Speaker 1: That's about how that's going to go.
- 6:43Speaker 5: She's going to be Hermione. This is what I'm envisioning
- 6:46Speaker 5: right now.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Although actually, I feel like Gabe is more of a
- 6:49Speaker 2: Ron Weasley.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Probably.
- 6:51Speaker 2: You know what?
- 6:51Speaker 5: Actually, because Hermione and Ron Weasley.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah, they end up together.
- 6:54Speaker 5: You're right.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Okay.
- 6:55Speaker 2: This is correct.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't seen Harry Potter.
- 6:58Speaker 2: It's only been 30 years.
- 7:01Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I'm glad we worked through that together. Yeah. Now I
- 7:04Speaker 1: know what I'm going to be. Sure.
- 7:05Speaker 2: This is very exciting. Do you know what you're going
- 7:08Speaker 2: to be for Halloween yet? I feel like in a blink,
- 7:11Speaker 2: it'll be Halloween.
- 7:12Speaker 1: 701-280-1987.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Because also I know I'm looking for ideas still. I'm annoying.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I'm one of those people that has to dress up
- 7:22Speaker 2: like every single day the week leading up to Halloween
- 7:26Speaker 2: and then on Halloween.
- 7:27Speaker 5: And Halloween finale this year. I mean, it's on a Saturday.
- 7:32Speaker 1: That's right.
- 7:32Speaker 2: And it's Crawloween. Crawloween is happening downtown Fargo. Like, I mean,
- 7:36Speaker 2: it's going to be epic. Okay, so Megan, what do you,
- 7:39Speaker 2: do you know what you're going to be? Do you
- 7:40Speaker 2: have any ideas?
- 7:41Speaker 5: I don't even have any ideas. I'm like you right
- 7:43Speaker 5: now where I'm like, oh. And here's my problem, because
- 7:46Speaker 5: often I think about it, and then I just kind
- 7:49Speaker 5: of stop thinking about it. And then about a week
- 7:51Speaker 5: and a half, I'm like, oh, no, I need to
- 7:53Speaker 5: get it together. So right now, I need to think
- 7:55Speaker 5: about it now, and I need to get it. I
- 7:57Speaker 5: need to just make this happen.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Yeah, we've got to brainstorm. We've got to figure it out.
- 8:00Speaker 2: The only thing that I know for me personally is
- 8:03Speaker 2: that every year— I go as my alter ego, Angelo.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I love to dress in drag. And it's like Angelo
- 8:12Speaker 2: as something. So last year it was Angelo as a
- 8:16Speaker 2: short king. And so I had like a fur coat
- 8:19Speaker 2: on and a crown. And I actually, as Angelo, I
- 8:22Speaker 2: hit on you, Megan.
- 8:23Speaker 5: I remember.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Oh, I remember. I remember.
- 8:25Speaker 2: That's pretty hot.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I do remember that video.
- 8:28Speaker 3: It has been October for six hours and 51 minutes.
- 8:31Speaker 3: You got to give people time to think of their outfits, Angie.
- 8:33Speaker 2: I feel like you have to have a sense of
- 8:36Speaker 2: urgency because it goes by so fast. Think about Spirit Halloween.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Everything's already picked over.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:41Speaker 5: I mean, you need to start working on that costume
- 8:44Speaker 5: like now.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Because Amazon is... only going to be able to send
- 8:48Speaker 2: you things in a timely manner for so long and
- 8:52Speaker 2: you want it before it sells out yeah are.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You it feels like you two are trying to sell
- 8:56Speaker 1: this to me.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Here i think yes so because if you're going to
- 8:59Speaker 2: be ron weasley you better go get some robes and
- 9:01Speaker 2: a cloak.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Where could i find a maroon scarf and a robe
- 9:06Speaker 3: i'm sure that's all sold.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Out yeah it probably is absolutely 701-280-1987.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Are you insane and have thought of your Halloween costume already?
- 9:16Speaker 1: Like Angie? Or are you going to pull the old
- 9:19Speaker 1: October 28th? Yeah, I'll use this.
- 9:21Speaker 2: No. I'm disappointed if you wait until October 28th. That's sad.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Angie's not mad. She's just disappointed. Disappointed.
- 9:29Speaker 5: Drop it, drop it.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Big 98.7.
- 9:31Speaker 1: In the world of rules and gray areas, one morning
- 9:33Speaker 1: show dares to ask the hard questions. We both know
- 9:36Speaker 1: you're guilty. He's guilty. Is it legal? Crime of all.
- 9:42Speaker 1: On Big 98.7. Is it legal for your neighbor Gary, Randy,
- 9:49Speaker 1: or Mark?
- 9:49Speaker 3: Because I feel like this is such a dad thing
- 9:52Speaker 3: to do. Is it legal to fire up a leaf
- 9:55Speaker 3: blower at 7 a.m.
- 9:56Speaker 1: On a Saturday? I picture my dad right now snowballing.
- 10:00Speaker 1: at like 6.30 a.m. Okay, but snow blowing. Dan, what
- 10:04Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 10:04Speaker 5: And leaf blowing are a little different.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Very true.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I will say whatever you're about to tell us, whether
- 10:09Speaker 2: it's legal or not, I think it's socially a crime.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Yes.
- 10:13Speaker 5: For the record.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Well, the sounds of fall, or as I call it,
- 10:17Speaker 3: the sound of my one day of sleeping in.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Thank you, neighbor.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Here's the good news for Gary and the bad news
- 10:23Speaker 3: for us. In Fargo, quiet hours run until 7 a.m.
- 10:27Speaker 3: So at 7, on the dot... That neighbor of yours
- 10:31Speaker 3: is technically in the clear. Now, if you're in Moorhead,
- 10:34Speaker 3: same thing. Nighttime limits end at 7. Here is the
- 10:38Speaker 3: good news for us. If it's loud, nonstop, and totally unnecessary...
- 10:44Speaker 3: Your neighbors could still, or you, could still call the
- 10:47Speaker 3: cops on the guy out there at 7 with a
- 10:50Speaker 3: leaf blower. So if there's like one leaf on the
- 10:52Speaker 3: driveway and he's working real hard to get it out
- 10:55Speaker 3: into the street, he could get in trouble for that.
- 10:58Speaker 5: And I'm just saying, as somebody, Gabe, as yourself, who
- 11:01Speaker 5: is a new parent, and you finally got your kid
- 11:03Speaker 5: to fall asleep and they wake them up, oh, oh,
- 11:06Speaker 5: I would just be seething mad.
- 11:08Speaker 3: I felt so bad yesterday. We have a neighbor, and
- 11:10Speaker 3: I'm not sure... when or if, but it feels very close.
- 11:14Speaker 3: They're about to have a kid and my car was
- 11:16Speaker 3: in the garage and you know, I'm trying to get
- 11:18Speaker 3: Kaylee out of the car seat, out of the truck
- 11:20Speaker 3: and Corey in the house and blah, blah, blah. And
- 11:22Speaker 3: my keys had like pushed up against my pocket and
- 11:25Speaker 3: my like alarm or whatever just started honking in my
- 11:30Speaker 3: garage and I went oh my god my neighbor's going
- 11:33Speaker 3: to kill me they just finally got this potential kid
- 11:36Speaker 3: asleep that might not even be here yet but I
- 11:38Speaker 3: did panic a little bit and sprinted out there hitting
- 11:41Speaker 3: the alarm button a million times to shut.
- 11:44Speaker 2: It off was Kaylee already awake Oh, yeah. Oh, okay.
- 11:48Speaker 1: So you were safe there.
- 11:49Speaker 2: You were safe there.
- 11:50Speaker 1: My house was all right. It was the neighbor's house.
- 11:52Speaker 5: Did she start crying? My dogs would start barking furiously.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Our dog will run to the door, and she's not
- 11:58Speaker 3: like a barker at all, but she definitely runs to
- 12:01Speaker 3: check it out.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Either way, neighbor, it is one leaf. Is it legal? Yes.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Is it okay? Absolutely not.
- 12:09Speaker 2: No.
- 12:09Speaker 1: No.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Drop it. Drop it.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Big 98.7.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Okay, there is a teacher in Iowa. Her name is
- 12:17Speaker 5: Stephanie Malali. And she got herself in a bit of
- 12:20Speaker 5: trouble because of a GoFundMe page. And you're like, but why?
- 12:23Speaker 1: What did she do?
- 12:24Speaker 5: So she actually told her students that she has this
- 12:28Speaker 5: GoFundMe page. And it's described a planned trip to Ecuador
- 12:32Speaker 5: where she said she would interpret for a medical mission team. Okay,
- 12:36Speaker 5: but here's the deal.
- 12:38Speaker 1: She offered students.
- 12:40Speaker 5: extra credit for donating to her personal GoFundMe page and
- 12:45Speaker 5: got herself in trouble. Oh, my gosh.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I think that's low-key so genius, but also bad.
- 12:49Speaker 5: Very bad. Very bad, right?
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, bad.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I don't encourage it, but I do respect it.
- 12:55Speaker 5: How many kids were like, how do I pay my
- 12:57Speaker 5: way through? I'm buying my grade. I want an A, right?
- 13:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I'm skipping lunch, and I'm donating it to the GoFundMe.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I would have loved that option when I was a student.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I would have done it.
- 13:07Speaker 5: Well, there were enough students who complained about it. They
- 13:12Speaker 5: felt like they were getting pressured to give. I'm like, dude,
- 13:16Speaker 5: you're getting an A now.
- 13:17Speaker 2: No.
- 13:17Speaker 5: But anyway, she got fired for violating his ethics policy. However,
- 13:22Speaker 5: with that said, I mean, it's like, OK, if it
- 13:25Speaker 5: wasn't frowned upon, what would you like to set up
- 13:28Speaker 5: a GoFundMe for?
- 13:30Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 13:32Speaker 5: 701-280-1987.
- 13:33Speaker 3: If there was a frowned upon GoFundMe and you couldn't
- 13:35Speaker 3: care less, what would you set it up for?
- 13:40Speaker 1: I know the first two right off. Instantly, I know
- 13:42Speaker 1: what I would do.
- 13:43Speaker 5: What?
- 13:43Speaker 2: What would you do?
- 13:44Speaker 3: Well, I have these two things. One, I would love
- 13:46Speaker 3: to be able to wear a brand new pair of
- 13:48Speaker 3: socks every day. So if the FM area could help
- 13:50Speaker 3: me fund this new sock daily.
- 13:52Speaker 5: For the rest of your life?
- 13:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd be wonderful. The second, I don't know if
- 13:56Speaker 1: it's that surprising. My soup.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 14:02Speaker 2: A GoFundMe for socks and soup?
- 14:05Speaker 1: Yep. Sign me up.
- 14:06Speaker 5: SNS. Yeah.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Oh, you know what? I like the alliteration. Set up
- 14:09Speaker 2: that GoFundMe, Gabe. Just see.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Just to see.
- 14:12Speaker 3: You know, the thing about a GoFundMe is you don't
- 14:14Speaker 3: have to give the money to them.
- 14:16Speaker 1: No, you don't.
- 14:17Speaker 3: You know, no one's forcing you to do it. Maybe
- 14:19Speaker 3: I'll just set it up and see what happens.
- 14:20Speaker 5: You're so simple, like so simple. Angie, what would you do?
- 14:24Speaker 5: Please tell me you're a little bit more extravagant than that.
- 14:27Speaker 2: You know what? It's that I'm vain. And so it
- 14:30Speaker 2: would be like, go fund me to keep me looking
- 14:32Speaker 2: like human woman. So it would be all the stuff
- 14:37Speaker 2: that I can't get with the wellness district and the
- 14:41Speaker 2: big glow up because I work here. Everything that I
- 14:44Speaker 2: can't get with that, that's what I need the GoFundMe for.
- 14:46Speaker 2: So I need like Botox, dermaplaning, hydrafacials. Let's throw in,
- 14:52Speaker 2: you know, I want to get I have a good
- 14:54Speaker 2: hairstylist to freshen up these locks, massages, a personal trainer,
- 15:00Speaker 2: a nutritionist, someone to literally just knock food out of
- 15:04Speaker 2: my hand. That is my biggest thing I need.
- 15:08Speaker 5: What about you, Megan?
- 15:10Speaker 2: Besides someone to knock food out of your hand, what
- 15:12Speaker 2: do you need for the GoFundMe?
- 15:14Speaker 1: Before you give us yours, Megan, Ashley, I love this.
- 15:17Speaker 1: This is great.
- 15:17Speaker 3: This is exactly what a GoFundMe should not be used for.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Ashley said, money to buy a private island.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Which is great.
- 15:26Speaker 5: You understood the assignment, Ashley. I love that because honestly,
- 15:30Speaker 5: so I'm in the same boat with you, Angie, where
- 15:33Speaker 5: I was like, I want this lifestyle that I can't
- 15:35Speaker 5: afford right now that, you know, if you want to
- 15:36Speaker 5: fund me for it, that sounds great, but also for traveling.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Because your girl loves to travel, and that stuff is expensive.
- 15:45Speaker 2: So expensive. I do like right here, Amelia said, life,
- 15:51Speaker 2: literally freaking day-to-day life she wants a GoFundMe for. I
- 15:55Speaker 2: don't know that you can get a GoFundMe, but I
- 15:57Speaker 2: think a sugar daddy could help with that.
- 16:02Speaker 1: That's a different website. Yeah, they make those out there. Yeah.
- 16:06Speaker 3: This one I think is great from Jewel. She said,
- 16:09Speaker 3: to pay my mortgage off, which is great. It's not
- 16:12Speaker 3: that she can't pay the mortgage. She just doesn't want
- 16:14Speaker 3: to do it anymore.
- 16:15Speaker 1: And that's fair. 1,000%. 701-280-1987. Obviously, we're having a little
- 16:22Speaker 1: bit of fun with this.
- 16:23Speaker 3: There are a lot of wonderful GoFundMes out there that
- 16:25Speaker 3: do go to a good cause and really do help people. But...
- 16:29Speaker 3: If you were going to set up one that you
- 16:31Speaker 3: know people are judging you on Facebook for, let us
- 16:34Speaker 3: know what it is.
- 16:35Speaker 1: It's 701-280-1987. Drop it, drop it. Big 98.7. I need
- 16:36Speaker 1: some good. Starting off the day with something good. This
- 16:46Speaker 1: is Gabe's Good News on Big 98.7.
- 16:50Speaker 3: This is really cool with North Dakota getting to pick
- 16:53Speaker 3: its books.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Now you might be going, well, what is that?
- 16:56Speaker 3: Every August, the Library of Congress holds its National Book
- 16:59Speaker 3: Festival in Washington with selected books representing... each state. And
- 17:04Speaker 3: for the first time ever, North Dakotans get to vote
- 17:07Speaker 3: on which books will be representing us. Voting is open
- 17:11Speaker 3: through the end of the year. And Daniel Wolf, who
- 17:13Speaker 3: was the author of Sophia's Monster, has one of the
- 17:16Speaker 3: nominated books. And he does remind people that there are
- 17:20Speaker 3: plenty of books to choose from.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Here he is.
- 17:22Speaker 4: So there's three youth books, three adult books. Check them
- 17:25Speaker 4: all out. I know this is a big deal for
- 17:27Speaker 4: all the authors. And find the ones that you like.
- 17:30Speaker 4: There will be one youth book, one adult book that
- 17:32Speaker 4: is represented.
- 17:33Speaker 3: And at my house, we have a two-month-old. There's a
- 17:35Speaker 3: lot of books being read at the Glidden House. This
- 17:38Speaker 3: is really cool, I think.
- 17:39Speaker 2: You've got to get Sophia's Monster. I actually heard about
- 17:42Speaker 2: this a couple of weeks ago.
- 17:44Speaker 1: This is cool.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Yeah, the nominated children's books are The Girl in Lime
- 17:49Speaker 3: Green Jeans by Lindsay Miller, Oliver the Owl Culinary Pro
- 17:54Speaker 3: by Raina Jo Zest and Sophia's Monster. by daniel wolf
- 17:59Speaker 3: so you gotta get all three man.
- 18:00Speaker 5: Yeah which i actually got to meet daniel wolf a
- 18:04Speaker 5: couple weeks ago like great guy so yeah i mean
- 18:07Speaker 3: Let's go we're team daniel wolf yep that's right get
- 18:09Speaker 3: your voting on uh once again it goes on now
- 18:12Speaker 3: through the end of the year my favorite quote the
- 18:15Speaker 3: world is full of nice people if you can't find
- 18:16Speaker 3: one you gotta be one and never forget that broken
- 18:19Speaker 3: crayons they still color
