513-Beige Fat Identity of Blood Pressure
Ablating Prdm16 in mouse adipocytes causes a loss of beige fat identity, leading to vascular remodeling, fibrosis, and hypertension. This process is driven by the derepression of QSOX1, a secreted enzyme. Deleting Qsox1 prevents these cardiovascular defects in mice.
