- 1:14Speaker 1: Twenty twenty four humbled me so much that listen, if
- 1:19Speaker 1: y'all are going through some hard times, it's just going
- 1:21Speaker 1: to make the good times that much better. That's how
- 1:25Speaker 1: you gotta view it. It might suck right now, but
- 1:28Speaker 1: the good times are coming, and when they come, they
- 1:30Speaker 1: gonna feel that much better because you went through that
- 1:33Speaker 1: hard shit.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah. It's like, you know, life be kind of like
- 1:38Speaker 2: helping you fortify your mind, right, so you could be
- 1:41Speaker 2: accepting when the shit, the good shit do come, Like
- 1:44Speaker 2: you gotta go through the hard times because you don't
- 1:46Speaker 2: even respect the good good times without the heart time. Like, man,
- 1:52Speaker 2: I remember when you know what I'm saying, And that's
- 1:54Speaker 2: how you stay in that present happy moment.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Right yep.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Oh, so I saw my friend's baby finally. Yeah, I've
- 2:07Speaker 2: been busy all fucking week. So it's Saturday. No, that
- 2:12Speaker 2: was actually Sunday I saw him because Saturday I went
- 2:14Speaker 2: to go see Sinners, went went to early matinee, saw that,
- 2:20Speaker 2: and then t J Max. Costco was like a good day,
- 2:25Speaker 2: you know, because we were in Atlanta prior to then,
- 2:27Speaker 2: and then the whole week just was my whole week
- 2:30Speaker 2: in between, it's just cram with a bunch of other
- 2:32Speaker 2: shit and I really didn't have time.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I need a favor what Costco? Y'all Costco got this
- 2:38Speaker 1: big candle?
- 2:40Speaker 2: Oh day candle I seen him day forty nine dollars.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You get that? Can you go get me more.
- 2:45Speaker 2: And do what would it? Just have it? I listen.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I didn't buy it because I didn't want to walk
- 2:50Speaker 2: it up the stairs.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Believe it through rapid it's gonna real.
- 2:54Speaker 2: It's gonna melt in the trunk. I seen somebody bring
- 2:57Speaker 2: melted candles and Yankee candle one day, and I'm like,
- 3:00Speaker 2: that bitch left them shit in the car and came
- 3:02Speaker 2: and return the me'll, yeah, it's gonna melt in the car.
- 3:05Speaker 2: So like I got it. I didn't buy one because
- 3:07Speaker 2: I didn't feel like bring it upstairs. And also I
- 3:10Speaker 2: didn't wanting to make my own candles because all of
- 3:12Speaker 2: these candles are toxic. So imagine if you got that
- 3:14Speaker 2: big stupid ass canon in your house and it's toxic.
- 3:16Speaker 1: You gotta be careful with making your own candles. Because
- 3:19Speaker 1: why I st my shop on fire with a homemade
- 3:22Speaker 1: candle one of my clients.
- 3:25Speaker 2: What was it made of? Was it soy?
- 3:27Speaker 1: I don't know, bitch, but I know the walk like
- 3:29Speaker 1: it was. It was a nice candle. It smell good.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Once to start getting close to the bottle, it enerupted
- 3:35Speaker 1: in fire and shot up the wall in my salon
- 3:38Speaker 1: and what yeah, like for real.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Kill everybody in there. Maybe she had like all the
- 3:45Speaker 2: I don't know, the the oil stuff, and I don't
- 3:48Speaker 2: know why. Why would that happen? Girl? Is that really
- 3:51Speaker 2: your friend?
- 3:52Speaker 1: She's so sweet?
- 3:53Speaker 2: Okay, she buy me gifts for every holiday.
- 3:57Speaker 1: She would never I don't think she'd ever try to
- 3:58Speaker 1: harm me.
- 3:59Speaker 2: That's weird.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yeah, but be careful with making your own candles.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I mean, I guess you could, Like I guess, I
- 4:05Speaker 2: feel like that could happen with people have burned their
- 4:07Speaker 2: houses now with candles, leaving them lit somewhere. So it's
- 4:10Speaker 2: probably not about making your own candle, right, you know.
- 4:13Speaker 2: It's the ingredients. Yeah, yeah, something was super inflammable. So
- 4:22Speaker 2: I did costco.
- 4:24Speaker 1: You're not gonna get that for me.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I see how you did that? Listen, I will get
- 4:29Speaker 2: the candle for you. But it's I mean, do you
- 4:32Speaker 2: really want that thing? It's enormous, Yes, I want it.
- 4:36Speaker 2: It's like a trash can size.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yes, I like it.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Okay, And they really smell really good too.
- 4:43Speaker 1: If they have anyone that has vanilla in it, that's
- 4:45Speaker 1: the one I want.
- 4:45Speaker 2: They did have a vanilla I'll see if they're still
- 4:48Speaker 2: in there, and they definitely was in there this weekend
- 4:50Speaker 2: because I did pick that big ship up. It I
- 4:56Speaker 2: definitely saw it. So costco all that stuff. And then
- 4:59Speaker 2: Sunday I saw the baby. I packed the bag Saturday morning,
- 5:02Speaker 2: I mean Sunday morning because another friend her little daughter
- 5:05Speaker 2: had like a dance recital. So I packed the bag
- 5:09Speaker 2: and went and spent the morning with the baby, and
- 5:10Speaker 2: then I went to the dancer sital and then I
- 5:13Speaker 2: came home. Yeah, I know, right, might as well. What
- 5:17Speaker 2: did all the keep kids?
- 5:18Speaker 1: I didn't do nothing, but listen, you gotta be careful
- 5:21Speaker 1: what you pray for, because I was like, God, I
- 5:24Speaker 1: need a financial blessing money lord. And when I tell you,
- 5:30Speaker 1: my books was booked and busy, like from top to bottom,
- 5:33Speaker 1: like day after day. I was working like thirteen fourteen
- 5:35Speaker 1: hour Thursday, Friday, Saturday. I was so busy. But I
- 5:39Speaker 1: needed that money. I needed the money. It's like, what
- 5:41Speaker 1: is it?
- 5:42Speaker 2: What was her name?
- 5:42Speaker 1: Stony?
- 5:43Speaker 2: Yeah, So that's what I did.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I worked all weekend and I was ugly. Remember I
- 5:48Speaker 1: had that lace, y'all. When I tell you, my lace
- 5:51Speaker 1: was sitting back to the middle of.
- 5:52Speaker 2: My head it's so bad. You got their hairstyff from
- 5:58Speaker 2: one David. Like one week it was it was over.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I went to like, I went to Chick fil A
- 6:05Speaker 1: to give me a salad on my lunch, and I
- 6:08Speaker 1: had took my hat off because it was so hot,
- 6:10Speaker 1: and I took it off and I went through the
- 6:12Speaker 1: drive through, and I forgot that I did not put
- 6:14Speaker 1: my hat back on for the draft. The girl at
- 6:17Speaker 1: the drive through and she was taking my orders and
- 6:19Speaker 1: he was hearing at my lefe.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Like, bit, chy'all, don't get my sandwich.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Let's get this sand.
- 6:33Speaker 2: We got going on chav with the crazy foods in
- 6:36Speaker 2: the world today. So I saw a Florida man arrested
- 6:42Speaker 2: for having three wives in three different counties. Did y'all
- 6:45Speaker 2: see that headline?
- 6:46Speaker 1: Florida is an interesting place, man, Yes, it's less people.
- 6:50Speaker 1: The most interesting people come out of Florida. Swear this man.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Did you see him?
- 6:54Speaker 2: He had the eyes and chocolate skin, Yes he was.
- 6:58Speaker 2: He was a nice looking man and he was finn
- 7:00Speaker 2: and white women. So it's okay. So I'm just playing, y'all,
- 7:06Speaker 2: just play. I'll just playing. So, so he's facing charges
- 7:10Speaker 2: for marrying three Florida women in three different counties at
- 7:15Speaker 2: the same time. He met these women like on dating
- 7:18Speaker 2: websites and basically married one like he was marrying them
- 7:22Speaker 2: or they were accepting his hand in marriage within a
- 7:25Speaker 2: couple of weeks. So, I mean they kind of foolish themselves.
- 7:29Speaker 1: He was digging them down and staring in today.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Yes, and you know, obviously it was more of a
- 7:36Speaker 2: financial gain for him, you know, than for them.
- 7:41Speaker 1: But how how is the government gonna say what if
- 7:44Speaker 1: he says, this is my religion.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I think he has. I don't know. I don't know
- 7:49Speaker 2: how that works for real.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Because whether they say what were religion in my own
- 7:54Speaker 1: Muslim Muslim had multiple people say can't you create who
- 7:59Speaker 1: decides what? Yeah, religion is my own religion that I started.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Right, And so the women are mad because they're saying,
- 8:07Speaker 2: like it's not really enough safeguards to prevent shit like this,
- 8:11Speaker 2: because somebody can get married in another country. I mean,
- 8:15Speaker 2: exees me, another state, another city. Bitch, Get on, you.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Don't even know that, nigga.
- 8:20Speaker 2: You know here for a couple of weeks. Yes, it's
- 8:23Speaker 2: Google not a part of dating, Like Google is definitely
- 8:27Speaker 2: a part of dating when you meet a nigga like
- 8:29Speaker 2: I might not never tell you at on Google your ass,
- 8:31Speaker 2: but please believe I know you. I know your mama,
- 8:36Speaker 2: I know your siblings something. I know your address.
- 8:39Speaker 1: And my sister paid, well, my older sister be paying
- 8:41Speaker 1: for some type of little thing where you can find
- 8:43Speaker 1: out like like some everybody like real shit.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I keep a subscription. I'll cancel the trial, but I
- 8:49Speaker 2: definitely be signing up for like people find her dot
- 8:54Speaker 2: Com and shit like that.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Yes, I will you know where your mama lived at
- 8:58Speaker 1: in two seconds.
- 8:59Speaker 2: And I'm kind of known for that, Like if people
- 9:00Speaker 2: want to find somebody, they'd be like, actually, I'm definitely
- 9:03Speaker 2: a pet detective. I'm gonna find your ass. So, so
- 9:09Speaker 2: it says a man is facing charges for marrying three
- 9:12Speaker 2: three Florida women in three different countries, cause why keep
- 9:15Speaker 2: seeing countries in three different counties at the same time.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Now these women are speaking out saying the system that
- 9:21Speaker 2: handles marriage licensing licenses kept them in the dark. There
- 9:25Speaker 2: are no safeguards, and I feel like that's part of
- 9:28Speaker 2: where the system failed. Michelle Betsy said he took each
- 9:33Speaker 2: one of us to a county over to get married.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Oh so they actually probably live in the same area.
- 9:41Speaker 1: They went to high school together.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then basically they're saying like, if
- 9:48Speaker 2: the county is actually talked, right, if the systems talked,
- 9:51Speaker 2: he wouldn't have been able to do this because it's
- 9:53Speaker 2: not like he was getting married to them under different names. Yeah,
- 9:57Speaker 2: it's not like he was getting married to them and
- 9:58Speaker 2: the aliases or anything like. He was himself marrying marrying
- 10:02Speaker 2: these women.
- 10:03Speaker 1: So he's apparently all of a sudden starting marrying a
- 10:06Speaker 1: bunch of bitches.
- 10:07Speaker 2: He probably been doing that. The nigga probably married in
- 10:09Speaker 2: other states. He probably been doing that.
- 10:14Speaker 1: That's crazy, all right, So a scavenger hurt termed man
- 10:18Speaker 1: hunt please say a man hit easter eggs with we
- 10:21Speaker 1: in city parks. I actually thought I was impressed with
- 10:24Speaker 1: his marketing strategy, honestly, So.
- 10:30Speaker 2: What marketing strategy like? He just put online like drugs
- 10:33Speaker 2: sell itself first of all, so you're not a real hustler.
- 10:36Speaker 2: You're selling drugs if it don't translate into like something
- 10:39Speaker 2: like official like.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Lead everybody got drugs? How do you set your drugs
- 10:43Speaker 1: apart from everybody else's?
- 10:46Speaker 2: You make them free and you hide them in parks
- 10:48Speaker 2: that's not marketing.
- 10:52Speaker 1: He posted like, while we all over the city, if
- 10:55Speaker 1: you find an egg, Like I thought that was creative.
- 10:59Speaker 2: At first I was.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I thought he did like an Easter egg hunt at
- 11:02Speaker 1: his home for his like homeboys and friends and family.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I've seen that where people have like an Easter party
- 11:09Speaker 1: and they'll have an Easter egg hunt and the Easter
- 11:11Speaker 1: eggs that have like shop bottles and condoms and stuff
- 11:15Speaker 1: like that in it. In my twenties, we did that
- 11:19Speaker 1: when I was living in England. But so I thought
- 11:22Speaker 1: this was that, And I was like, what's the big
- 11:23Speaker 1: deal is that his home is with his friends who snitched,
- 11:26Speaker 1: But this dickon was leaving it around the city for
- 11:28Speaker 1: people to find out. Somebody baby can find it. That's
- 11:33Speaker 1: where he messed up. You can't be in.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Somebody's daughter found one and they turned it into the police,
- 11:39Speaker 2: they said.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Police said the eggs were hitting on Easter Sunday in
- 11:42Speaker 1: three public parks, in a motel. The man alleged allegedly
- 11:48Speaker 1: behind it is now wanted.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Stupid.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Yeah that wasn't smart.
- 11:54Speaker 2: That was not as smart, But I appreciate the sentiment.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I would do it though, I mean I definitely would
- 12:01Speaker 2: have partaken in the easter egg hunt for the weed. Yeah,
- 12:08Speaker 2: you know, you like those people who like hide money
- 12:09Speaker 2: around the city. I guess that's what he was doing.
- 12:14Speaker 1: This guy knew he did like a shoe drive and
- 12:17Speaker 1: he hates sneakers around the city in different places for
- 12:21Speaker 1: like nice dope.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Mm hmm. So who the fuck is the bish gossip?
- 12:29Speaker 2: I never even heard of this blog, but uh, there's
- 12:31Speaker 2: an article out there. It says fifty one percent of
- 12:33Speaker 2: women ages eighteen to forty are single, researchers saying this
- 12:38Speaker 2: is due to the rise in income education for women,
- 12:42Speaker 2: the single woman no longer having a negative stigma in
- 12:46Speaker 2: society and marriage being more important to men. Y'all remember
- 12:50Speaker 2: when niggas are saying like they don't benefit from marriage.
- 12:52Speaker 2: We've been debunked that, right. So it says the record
- 12:56Speaker 2: a record of fifty one percent of US women a
- 13:00Speaker 2: just eighteen to forty we're single in twenty twenty three.
- 13:03Speaker 2: That's after COVID, up from forty two percent in two thousand,
- 13:07Speaker 2: according to census data by the Aspen Economic Strategy Group.
- 13:13Speaker 2: That's in part due to the closing gender gap and
- 13:16Speaker 2: opportunity and earnings, as well as decline and stigma associated
- 13:20Speaker 2: with women being single. Marriage rates for both men and
- 13:24Speaker 2: women are in decline, so it says today women are
- 13:28Speaker 2: less likely than men to say marriage is important to
- 13:31Speaker 2: their life goals and happiness. More women than men attribute
- 13:35Speaker 2: being single to struggling to find partners who meet their standards,
- 13:39Speaker 2: a fact that experts say may be exacerbated by the
- 13:43Speaker 2: perceived limitless of dating apps. I agree with that, especially Instagram.
- 13:48Speaker 2: It's like a hoedex, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 13:51Speaker 2: men and women could just get a new nigga every day,
- 13:54Speaker 2: get a new girl every day, and it says meanwhile
- 13:56Speaker 2: gen z, women are leading cultural shifts like the boy
- 14:00Speaker 2: sober trend, focusing more on self Oh boy sober, Okay,
- 14:06Speaker 2: focusing more on self growth and friendships. They're less likely
- 14:10Speaker 2: to date a young age. Excuse me, They're less likely
- 14:14Speaker 2: to date at a young age, and they're having less sex.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Though these trends have given rise to new concerns about
- 14:21Speaker 2: loneliness among young people. These young girls is lit now
- 14:25Speaker 2: a couple of them still getting pregnant.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I'm still getting pregnant, but they're not like when we were.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah. I just feel like and it does come with
- 14:35Speaker 2: you know, being okay with being by yourself, because it's
- 14:39Speaker 2: not a bad thing. You gotta know yourself before you
- 14:41Speaker 2: invite anybody else into your space. So I definitely applaud
- 14:44Speaker 2: that shit. But younger women and you know, because maybe, uh,
- 14:49Speaker 2: we just thought it was so important at that age,
- 14:51Speaker 2: Like I gotta guess, I gotta have somebody. I gotta
- 14:53Speaker 2: do this, like because you.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Talk to Mary and you just think about from the beginning,
- 14:58Speaker 1: we're read these fairy tales in these books about our
- 15:02Speaker 1: night and shining the armor coming to save us from
- 15:06Speaker 1: some dragon.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Mm hm. The fuck You're gonna do a class action
- 15:10Speaker 2: lawsuit against Disney because they really fucked us up.
- 15:14Speaker 1: And then motherfucker the books with.
- 15:15Speaker 2: The gold buy Yeah, coming for y'all. Brother, Man, I
- 15:19Speaker 2: still love Cinderella movies. Man. The play this weekend, the
- 15:23Speaker 2: dance recital was like a hip hop Cinderella mm hmm yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 2: And they had like Bobby Brown was the Prince. They
- 15:33Speaker 2: were saying Whitney Euston's songs. It was nice, but yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 2: like I don't know, man, I do encourage younger women
- 15:40Speaker 2: to spend more time with themselves, understand themselves and what
- 15:43Speaker 2: they what they like, you know what I'm saying, and
- 15:45Speaker 2: also become the partner you want. You gotta also be
- 15:49Speaker 2: that person that you want, yes, so that when it
- 15:52Speaker 2: comes along, you recognize it.
- 15:54Speaker 1: You know what. I would like to see a world
- 15:57Speaker 1: where the black family exists again in a full dynamic,
- 16:02Speaker 1: but maybe not the way it was back in the
- 16:06Speaker 1: day where women was getting beat and left in the
- 16:09Speaker 1: house with kids. You know.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think that's everybody experience, but it definitely
- 16:14Speaker 2: is a lot of older women experiences, which is why
- 16:17Speaker 2: they then taught the daughters be able to take care
- 16:20Speaker 2: of yourself so you don't have to deal with this
- 16:21Speaker 2: type of behavior.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Right because they you know, people like big Mama stayed.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Big Mama had to stay and she hated it. Yeah,
- 16:31Speaker 1: she didn't want to stay and she cheated.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Let's be very fucking clear.
- 16:36Speaker 1: And what are your cousins? What are your uncles? Is
- 16:39Speaker 1: light skinning and the rest of them dark.
- 16:41Speaker 2: But your granddad's dark as hair. Somebody else raised that baby.
- 16:53Speaker 1: So what are we do? We have another sing?
- 16:55Speaker 2: Oh we didn't talk about the met gala though.
- 16:57Speaker 1: All right, yeah, let's talk about the met gala. I listen,
- 17:02Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie. I wanted to kick Andre three
- 17:05Speaker 1: thousand right in the piano.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Why had that piano on his bag? What's the famous
- 17:14Speaker 2: piano player? Because that's what what Basically he was paying
- 17:17Speaker 2: homage to, like somebody from the dandyism time, because that
- 17:22Speaker 2: was a theme of the of the mech gala this
- 17:26Speaker 2: year and douse, you know they raised more money. This
- 17:28Speaker 2: is they raised more money this year than any year.
- 17:30Speaker 2: And that's because a lot of black people bought involved.
- 17:33Speaker 2: You see how we.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Sorry, where does the money go? Because they raised thirty
- 17:38Speaker 1: one million? The most is charity different charities.
- 17:43Speaker 2: I mean, I'm pretty sure they got a list of
- 17:44Speaker 2: charities because the Metcalla is supposedly like a nonprofit five
- 17:48Speaker 2: one three.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I thought it goes to maintaining the museum.
- 17:53Speaker 2: That's it. Thirty one thirty one million dollars. Nah, bro
- 17:57Speaker 2: probably go to sex traffick. But in the next episode,
- 18:03Speaker 2: because that whole shit is a fucking ritual to me, y'all,
- 18:05Speaker 2: I'd be trying to stay human with the ship, but
- 18:07Speaker 2: I'd be watching these things and like this is the
- 18:10Speaker 2: fucking minstrel. Uh uh minstrel.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I didn't tell y'all this, I know we were talking
- 18:20Speaker 1: about the mc gala. But I gotta tell y'all about
- 18:22Speaker 1: my flight. Did I tell you about my flight? M hm,
- 18:27Speaker 1: So my flight into New York, y'all. It was five
- 18:29Speaker 1: in the morning. It was so foggy. Why the polo
- 18:32Speaker 1: couldn't land the plane y'all. When I tell you, I
- 18:36Speaker 1: was so scared. Like we went down and you know
- 18:39Speaker 1: how you gotta go by the Hudson River. He couldn't see,
- 18:43Speaker 1: so we was like right above the water and then
- 18:45Speaker 1: he shot back up in the air. I'm talking about
- 18:46Speaker 1: real fast. We did that shit four times before we
- 18:50Speaker 1: touched the ground. Bitch. When I tell you, my ass
- 18:53Speaker 1: cheeks was sore from squeezing so tight.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Scared final destination, bitch.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Never been so scared on the flight in my life.
- 19:02Speaker 1: And he was. He was coming on in the mind.
- 19:03Speaker 1: He was like, I can't see. The visibility is just
- 19:06Speaker 1: too low. I can't see, you know, So I'm gonna
- 19:08Speaker 1: try to come in from a different angle and see
- 19:10Speaker 1: if we can get some visibility. Did that ship four times?
- 19:13Speaker 1: It felt like I was going through the fog that movie,
- 19:16Speaker 1: the fog, Like I came into a different dimension. There's
- 19:19Speaker 1: a ball head man sitting next to me. When we
- 19:22Speaker 1: touched down, I grabbed that motherfucker by the head and
- 19:24Speaker 1: was like, I swear I did. All right, I'm sorry
- 19:30Speaker 1: I had to tell y'all that, But okay, Mett Gala,
- 19:33Speaker 1: who is your favorite dress?
- 19:39Speaker 2: I did, like, Uh, what's the name? Louis Vutan low outfit?
- 19:43Speaker 2: Who do I like that? Look? What's the girl who
- 19:47Speaker 2: had the hot pink on Adre Day? I liked her look.
- 19:55Speaker 2: It was a couple of the looks I liked.
- 19:56Speaker 1: It was off his rug all the way.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Come, I like that too, I like I like Whoopi
- 20:04Speaker 2: Goldberg look. Also like the dress slash and who was
- 20:09Speaker 2: the guy with the all white.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Like Tianna Taylor was giving parents of the pirates of
- 20:14Speaker 1: the Caribbeus.
- 20:16Speaker 2: All the times in one you know what I'm saying.
- 20:18Speaker 2: She had like the Prince low, the hats, the chase,
- 20:24Speaker 2: the yes.
- 20:26Speaker 1: So.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Dandyism, okay, so. Dandyism is a style or manner characterized
- 20:29Speaker 2: by excessive attention to dress grooming and refined manners, often
- 20:34Speaker 2: associated with a man who was considered a dandy. Right. So,
- 20:38Speaker 2: this term came up during the time where black people
- 20:41Speaker 2: were definitely being oppressed, right and they basically used dress
- 20:45Speaker 2: and style as a form of revolt. Yeah, essentially, I
- 20:52Speaker 2: think about it like, Hi, I said, I'm gonna start
- 20:54Speaker 2: wearing gloves again. Y'all see my picture. I was looking
- 20:56Speaker 2: very dandy, Okay, I really like when a nigga see
- 21:00Speaker 2: you dressed like that, like with a skirt, passion knees,
- 21:04Speaker 2: with some gloves on, like a little head piece like
- 21:06Speaker 2: they automatically know they gotta pay bills. It's big draws
- 21:09Speaker 2: under this dress. Okay, it's a girdle under this dress.
- 21:12Speaker 2: It's some shit under this dress. Like you can't come
- 21:15Speaker 2: over here half stepping. And to me, that's what that
- 21:17Speaker 2: look looks like. It looks expensive, right, But we now
- 21:22Speaker 2: were butt naked and you want somebody to take you serious?
- 21:25Speaker 2: Why they don't have to? They see all the things?
- 21:27Speaker 2: Who is we imagine if a nigga gotta take these
- 21:31Speaker 2: layers off girl before they get to memm Like, that's
- 21:34Speaker 2: what it's about. I'm about to start wearing gloves again.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I'm about to set the stand have on gloves, wings
- 21:41Speaker 2: and my fucking wands. My look, oh, speaking of ones,
- 21:46Speaker 2: like I'm trying to figure out what a bit y'all
- 21:47Speaker 2: pitches don't even have a wand all of a sudden,
- 21:49Speaker 2: everybody's a ferry out here. I'm confused. We have the
- 21:54Speaker 2: song she was a fairy, She was a fairy. You've
- 21:56Speaker 2: seen it. You heard it on Instagram. She was fery
- 22:00Speaker 2: on everybody my daddy or some shit. A song, but
- 22:05Speaker 2: everybody like got videos with it now, and I'm like,
- 22:08Speaker 2: h y'all, bitch, just don't have no wand where's your magic?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Right? All right, y'all when we come back, aj Soft
- 22:18Speaker 1: Centers and listen. If you haven't seen it, just go
- 22:22Speaker 1: watch it and then come back to this episode. Because
- 22:24Speaker 1: this is gonna be a real spoiler. We're gonna talk
- 22:27Speaker 1: about it. We'll be right back.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Yay, all right, y'all, And we're back, and I'm so
- 22:36Speaker 2: excited because Tammy is gonna let me nerd out the
- 22:39Speaker 2: whole fucking episode. It's not really nerd, it's like real
- 22:42Speaker 2: nigga talk the whole episode. In regards to Slash Nerd,
- 22:46Speaker 2: this movie, you know, Slash Nerd. In regards to this movie, Centers, y'all,
- 22:52Speaker 2: I feel like this is an instant classic. It's like
- 22:54Speaker 2: Friday horror film. It's like, I cannot wait for this
- 22:59Speaker 2: shit to I might buy if it comes out. Do
- 23:01Speaker 2: DVDs still exist? I do have a DVD player.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I don't think it's coming on.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I need it to be all. I want a hard
- 23:07Speaker 2: copy of this movie. Like, I don't want to stream
- 23:10Speaker 2: it or download it from Amazon or some shit. I
- 23:13Speaker 2: want a hard copy of this movie. Like what form
- 23:17Speaker 2: do movies coming now? Do they still sell DVDs? Or
- 23:20Speaker 2: like the little small disc? Where are we are we
- 23:23Speaker 2: in time? Yeah?
- 23:25Speaker 1: Like they literally could take all our films away from
- 23:27Speaker 1: us right now exactly.
- 23:29Speaker 2: So I would like a hard copy of this movie,
- 23:32Speaker 2: or maybe I'll have to. When I buy it, I'll
- 23:34Speaker 2: download it to a flask drive or something. I don't know.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Let me I call Ryan and see if I can
- 23:38Speaker 1: get him to sing your copy girl.
- 23:44Speaker 2: So, y'all, I enjoyed this movie thoroughly, and so tell
- 23:47Speaker 2: me a good job. Without telling me nothing about the movie.
- 23:51Speaker 2: He told me to make sure I wait and stay
- 23:53Speaker 2: to the very very end, and I stayed until the
- 23:55Speaker 2: screen was black. But something really weird happen when I
- 24:00Speaker 2: did that. Though. As I'm sitting there, I'm like, I
- 24:04Speaker 2: don't got no weapons on me, because y'all know the
- 24:06Speaker 2: movie is about vampires. So I'm sitting there like, I
- 24:09Speaker 2: don't got no fucking weapon on me. The whole theater
- 24:13Speaker 2: is empty, right except on my row. It's maybe about
- 24:17Speaker 2: eight people and one white lady. Not to say that
- 24:20Speaker 2: the white lady isn't a people but a person, but
- 24:24Speaker 2: it was like it was like eight people, including a
- 24:29Speaker 2: white lady. And it's like they were staying because I
- 24:32Speaker 2: was because I'm at the end of the row. It's
- 24:35Speaker 2: like the whole theater is gone and it's just these
- 24:37Speaker 2: people on my road and one white lady.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Well maybe they thought to stay.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Tuned, That's what I'm saying. But why y'all following me.
- 24:45Speaker 1: My ro.
- 24:48Speaker 2: That don't make sense to me. The whole theater's blink.
- 24:51Speaker 2: So now BJ had already left out the theater. So
- 24:56Speaker 2: now I'm sitting there and I'm like, I don't have
- 24:59Speaker 2: no fucking weapon, Like, don't wait for this movie to
- 25:02Speaker 2: be over. But I'm just in here now by myself,
- 25:05Speaker 2: and usually I have a weapon, y'all. I do live
- 25:07Speaker 2: my life like a scary movie. So as soon as
- 25:11Speaker 2: the screen went complete black and lights completely on, the
- 25:16Speaker 2: first person to speak is this white lady, and she says,
- 25:20Speaker 2: what did the vampires represent? I said, energy harvesting while
- 25:27Speaker 2: I'm walking off. She was like what I said, energy
- 25:30Speaker 2: harvesting As I'm walking off, and it was another couple
- 25:36Speaker 2: like right behind me. I said, girl, let's get the
- 25:38Speaker 2: fuck up out of here for this bitch turn.
- 25:43Speaker 1: She was a vampire.
- 25:46Speaker 2: She was, man. I believe actual vampires exist, and I
- 25:50Speaker 2: also believe like the metaphoric, like you know, you know
- 25:54Speaker 2: of it. Yeah, just energy harvesting, taking someone's essence and
- 25:58Speaker 2: life force. Yeah, those people exist in real life and
- 26:01Speaker 2: they're not just white.
- 26:02Speaker 1: No, Okay, I really be feeling like people be using
- 26:06Speaker 1: me for my energy sometimes, I really be feeling like
- 26:09Speaker 1: people like try to suck at my energy, like seriously.
- 26:14Speaker 2: For a long time I felt like that. But I
- 26:16Speaker 2: have such a block up. Now I have such I
- 26:20Speaker 2: am more selfish now, I'm gonna fuck. I have such
- 26:24Speaker 2: a block up because you definitely gotta protect your energy
- 26:26Speaker 2: because I don't even think some people are even consciously
- 26:29Speaker 2: aware that that's how they're moving. I really don't think
- 26:33Speaker 2: they they realize it. It's just who they are, right,
- 26:37Speaker 2: So they go around just feeding, literally feeding on other
- 26:44Speaker 2: people's energy. Even somebody who likes to argue for some
- 26:47Speaker 2: I can argue. I don't like arguing because I feel
- 26:51Speaker 2: depleted after arguing going back and forth with somebody. But
- 26:54Speaker 2: there are some people that that should charge charge them
- 26:57Speaker 2: up so they know exactly where to come to get
- 27:00Speaker 2: shits popping.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Okay, I know all of a sudden, too much would
- 27:06Speaker 1: have bitch you that will like reciprocate the energy. So
- 27:10Speaker 1: I've had people like really come to me to like
- 27:14Speaker 1: h poke it out of me, mm hmm and like
- 27:18Speaker 1: and I'll give it back to him. And then after
- 27:20Speaker 1: I do, I'm like, damn, like.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I let them get me. Yeah, I let that person
- 27:25Speaker 2: then controls you. They're your sire at that point, you know,
- 27:28Speaker 2: like the vampire or the main vampire is like the
- 27:30Speaker 2: sire m m to everybody else. So if somebody can
- 27:34Speaker 2: get you out your element, like they have a certain
- 27:36Speaker 2: level of control over you.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Right, And that's why I eliminate those people from my life, like.
- 27:42Speaker 2: They can stay nowadays. Bitch did when I tell you,
- 27:45Speaker 2: I'm shut, you can't have it. I know how great
- 27:49Speaker 2: I am, I know how amazing I am. And I'm
- 27:51Speaker 2: not letting anybody like take that shit from me anymore.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it is what it.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Go go get your source feed someplace else, because sh
- 27:58Speaker 2: it is is closed over here.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I ain't that growl because I'd be like, bitch, what.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Like, hold on because I got time today now on
- 28:09Speaker 2: the Instagram post and some shit like that. On a Friday,
- 28:12Speaker 2: I might got time to cut your ass out. I
- 28:14Speaker 2: might got time to cut you out. But I mean,
- 28:16Speaker 2: like in real life, having exchange actual energy with people,
- 28:21Speaker 2: I can't do it. It's not I can't do it
- 28:23Speaker 2: like it that makes sense to me anymore. But anyway,
- 28:27Speaker 2: back to Sinners. Okay, y'all, this is the box office hit.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Ryan Coogler's budget for Sinners was ninety million dollars initially,
- 28:42Speaker 2: right Nigga managed some issues and basically had to put
- 28:49Speaker 2: up ten million dollars of his own money to complete
- 28:53Speaker 2: the film. But the film made two hundred and thirty
- 28:59Speaker 2: seven million dollars worldwide. That's just from first one.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Why is grossing global horror film?
- 29:09Speaker 2: Mm hm. So the man is out here doing his
- 29:14Speaker 2: big one, and then he has like some type of
- 29:18Speaker 2: like the deal he has with Warner Brothers. So it
- 29:22Speaker 2: says he's secured a share of the film's gross revenue
- 29:25Speaker 2: before studio profits along with creative control and future ownership
- 29:30Speaker 2: rights after twenty five years of the film. Yeah, so
- 29:34Speaker 2: these terms reflect a significant shift towards greater creativity and
- 29:38Speaker 2: financial autonomy for filmmakers. This is where I'm trying to be.
- 29:42Speaker 2: That's why I want to be able to create with
- 29:44Speaker 2: other people money and like, yeah, y'all get y'all, O'll share.
- 29:47Speaker 2: But I want my family to be able to eat
- 29:49Speaker 2: off that shit forever too.
- 29:51Speaker 1: But why do a film take one hundred million dollars
- 29:54Speaker 1: to make?
- 29:54Speaker 2: That is insane? Do you see the credits at the end.
- 29:58Speaker 2: All those people have to get paid. Yeah, you got
- 30:01Speaker 2: hair department, costume, set design, transportation. I mean everybody has
- 30:07Speaker 2: to get.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Paid one hundred million dollars.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Yes, that's a.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Lot to create a film. I'm gonna make all a
- 30:16Speaker 1: good movie right now for about to be.
- 30:19Speaker 2: We got some good shit outdea five hundred dollars, we
- 30:22Speaker 2: get it done. How many how much I watched that shit?
- 30:29Speaker 1: Man?
- 30:29Speaker 2: That's just smells think so, yeah, like you gotta pay
- 30:35Speaker 2: everybody at the credits at the end of the movie.
- 30:38Speaker 2: How many people you think up there for credits? Like
- 30:40Speaker 2: six hundred people? That shit be rolling for a good
- 30:43Speaker 2: five minutes.
- 30:44Speaker 1: So a lot of people involved and make such a masterpiece.
- 30:48Speaker 1: All right, let's get into the storyline.
- 30:53Speaker 2: I love this movie so much, so y'all know, I
- 30:56Speaker 2: feel like the movie is about me because I'm a
- 30:58Speaker 2: Gemini and there were twins in there, and we know,
- 31:03Speaker 2: like twins represent like the duality in life. So so
- 31:12Speaker 2: you also had like red and blue, so think about
- 31:14Speaker 2: like the red and blue pill. You know, people take
- 31:18Speaker 2: in life, right, right, So the main characters stack and
- 31:26Speaker 2: smoke real names? Was Elijah and Elias? Do you know
- 31:31Speaker 2: the story? Like the Elijah the prophet in the Bible,
- 31:36Speaker 2: So Elias is supposed to be like basically another name
- 31:39Speaker 2: for Elijah. So in the Bible they this is the
- 31:42Speaker 2: only one person Elijah, right, But Elijah is supposed to
- 31:48Speaker 2: or maybe whichever one derives from the other one. But
- 31:51Speaker 2: in the Bible it's just Elijah the prophet. So Elijah
- 31:54Speaker 2: or Elias is a prophet and miracle worker who lived
- 31:58Speaker 2: in the Northern Kingdom of Israel during the reign of
- 32:01Speaker 2: King Ahab Israel. Where these people are right now? Who
- 32:06Speaker 2: say data ones? They not? According to the books of
- 32:10Speaker 2: Kings in the Hebrew Bible, and one King's eighteen, Elijah
- 32:14Speaker 2: defended the worship of the Hebrew deity Y'ahwegh over that
- 32:20Speaker 2: of the Canaanite deity Ball. So, Y'ahwegh a name for
- 32:27Speaker 2: Jesus Christ, but it's his actual name because we know
- 32:30Speaker 2: the letter J didn't exist during his time, right, So
- 32:34Speaker 2: y'all weigh and then where you take out the vowels
- 32:36Speaker 2: and you just have the concepts, it's your breathing. So
- 32:40Speaker 2: every time you breathe, when a baby comes out the
- 32:42Speaker 2: womb and takes that first breath, yeah, yeah, that's God.
- 32:49Speaker 2: You're breathing is God. So that's why like breath work
- 32:51Speaker 2: and all that shit is so important, because it helps
- 32:54Speaker 2: you get more oxygen to your brain. You could think clear.
- 32:57Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. I do a lot of
- 32:59Speaker 2: breath work. I got this app I used called Open.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Y'all should check it out. It's real good. Listen.
- 33:05Speaker 1: I've never I'm a Southern lady, but I never wanted
- 33:12Speaker 1: to fuck brothers so much.
- 33:14Speaker 2: In my life a Southern lady, yo. Listen, all right,
- 33:22Speaker 2: So Michael B.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Jordan is not traditionally fine to me, but it's just
- 33:29Speaker 1: something about the madness of that man.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Oh my God, I really liked it. Yes, I really
- 33:38Speaker 2: liked him in that movie, Like I get what you
- 33:40Speaker 2: were saying.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Now, yes, now, all right, it would have been cool
- 33:45Speaker 1: to me if they could smoke a stack could have
- 33:48Speaker 1: been Jonathan Majors and Michael B. Jordan playing brothers.
- 33:52Speaker 2: No, that would have been good too, Yes, that would
- 33:57Speaker 2: the same scenario brothers chew check. So Smoke wore the
- 34:05Speaker 2: blue hat, right, and he represents like muscle the hand
- 34:09Speaker 2: of God, and stack Elias he had the red hat,
- 34:14Speaker 2: smooth talker. He represents the word of God. That's what
- 34:17Speaker 2: I took from it, just from the meanings of the
- 34:19Speaker 2: names Elijah and Elias. And then you got Remick the
- 34:25Speaker 2: vampire who is Irish, and y'all know Irish people experienced.
- 34:32Speaker 2: First of all, the original irishmen are black people. They
- 34:36Speaker 2: had like blue eyes, dark skin. They don't really exist
- 34:41Speaker 2: that much anymore. But you see him like you see
- 34:42Speaker 2: these videos and she lay down on Instagram, these people
- 34:44Speaker 2: be popping up.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Oh maybe that nigga who marrying.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Yeah he might be he might he might be original.
- 34:53Speaker 2: He might be a vampire. Bitch.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Listen, here you go.
- 34:57Speaker 2: You see you see how it should be like.
- 35:01Speaker 1: And that's why the ladies married him. After three weeks
- 35:03Speaker 1: he was glamor second on their COUCHI.
- 35:12Speaker 2: All right, yeah, so the Irish people experienced like something
- 35:17Speaker 2: uh sick, kind of sort of the same you know,
- 35:20Speaker 2: treatment that Africans did, and they were sent to America
- 35:24Speaker 2: as indentured servants. While the Africans and the people, the
- 35:29Speaker 2: indigenous people of this land, they had like a life
- 35:33Speaker 2: sentence to slavery, right, So it wasn't until after slavery
- 35:38Speaker 2: was kind of abolished, which this movie sets in like
- 35:42Speaker 2: Jim Crow time Jim Crow Era is after slavery in Mississippi, right,
- 35:49Speaker 2: and now you see how basically like how somebody can
- 35:53Speaker 2: start then being the oppressor out of survival essentially, That's
- 35:59Speaker 2: what I.
- 36:00Speaker 1: When he was talking like he was like trying to
- 36:02Speaker 1: encourage them to join him, he was making some good points.
- 36:06Speaker 2: It wasn't us, yes, and the necessary evil, yeah right,
- 36:11Speaker 2: because he wanted his people back, and that's all we
- 36:14Speaker 2: be wanting. We be wanting our people to get together,
- 36:17Speaker 2: like and I guess maybe he only that's the only
- 36:20Speaker 2: way he saw this happening.
- 36:22Speaker 1: But listen, the significance was how Sammy could use the
- 36:27Speaker 1: power of music the power of our I think we
- 36:30Speaker 1: don't give music the credit that we do, and how
- 36:32Speaker 1: we do this is my religion. Listen, how we let
- 36:34Speaker 1: our music be so dark and allow the darkness into
- 36:37Speaker 1: our music when it really is a conduit, you know.
- 36:43Speaker 2: And that's what Remick saw.
- 36:44Speaker 1: That Sammy had this power with his guitar where he
- 36:47Speaker 1: could bridge the gap between time in a way. You know,
- 36:51Speaker 1: like that scene where they were in that juke joint
- 36:55Speaker 1: and it was like girls torking, our ancestors dancing Africans
- 37:01Speaker 1: dancing around the fire.
- 37:03Speaker 2: You could feel all of it.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, I could feel.
- 37:06Speaker 2: It in my spirit. Oh that scene was just like
- 37:10Speaker 2: breath taking.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Seriously, did you.
- 37:14Speaker 2: See the part where they killed Annie because she saw
- 37:19Speaker 2: that she was gonna die. She put her bones and
- 37:20Speaker 2: shit out on the table, and she saw her fate,
- 37:22Speaker 2: and that's why she asked. She told Smoke, listen, if
- 37:25Speaker 2: this shit get bad, promise me you kill me right,
- 37:28Speaker 2: because promise me you won't let me turn right. And
- 37:32Speaker 2: they remember how the how Remick like every time he
- 37:37Speaker 2: turned somebody, he got their thoughts and they acquired his.
- 37:40Speaker 2: So now they're like a legion of demons. They're all interconnected,
- 37:44Speaker 2: so they needed So Sammy is the grill. A grill
- 37:47Speaker 2: is a person who like tells stories through like poetry, song, music, right,
- 37:54Speaker 2: and they keep the history of the people like a
- 37:56Speaker 2: human dictionary essentially, So Sammy was a human dictionary. So
- 38:00Speaker 2: he needed Sammy's information that comes through the mitochondrial bloodline
- 38:05Speaker 2: from your mom, right. It like it's just things you remember,
- 38:09Speaker 2: Like it's shit that I have never read that when
- 38:12Speaker 2: I see it, I'm like, I knew that, Or I'll
- 38:15Speaker 2: know something. It's just like an inner knowing. Then I'll
- 38:17Speaker 2: see something that gives me confirmation, Like this movie gave
- 38:20Speaker 2: me so many confirmations just on like the things I
- 38:23Speaker 2: already know.
- 38:25Speaker 1: And that's another thing where I think, like pain and
- 38:28Speaker 1: trauma is passed down from your your bloodline too.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Absolutely, so he needed he needed Sammy's information. He also
- 38:35Speaker 2: needed Annie's information right to bring his people back. So
- 38:42Speaker 2: I'm wondering though, the one part I didn't get, like
- 38:46Speaker 2: are they themselves once they get bit or are they
- 38:49Speaker 2: a whole different entity?
- 38:51Speaker 1: Girl? There was a different entity singing all that bluegrass
- 38:54Speaker 1: country music and Irish and hit there was river dancing outside.
- 38:57Speaker 2: They was not it? You know that wasn't there that
- 39:00Speaker 2: wasn't there a status? You remember the movie The Key,
- 39:03Speaker 2: what's it called the Key? Skeleton Key, Skeleton Key? Do
- 39:06Speaker 2: you remember the movie? Mighta mind? I just watched that movie, like, uh,
- 39:10Speaker 2: within the last couple of months again, but I probably
- 39:12Speaker 2: done see that ship like ten times. Remember on Skeleton Key,
- 39:16Speaker 2: Like it was the Africans that were now like in
- 39:19Speaker 2: these white people's bodies. So I kind of thought like,
- 39:22Speaker 2: maybe it's the opposite now, so it's like the white
- 39:25Speaker 2: people in the black people's body. But I think we
- 39:28Speaker 2: with this particular movie, we got to take race out
- 39:31Speaker 2: of it.
- 39:32Speaker 1: No, no, we can't. It's it's such a huge part
- 39:35Speaker 1: of it because think about this, all the ages of
- 39:39Speaker 1: Chaos were women, all right, So Mary, she went out there.
- 39:45Speaker 2: She should have stayed her ass in the house.
- 39:47Speaker 1: She was.
- 39:48Speaker 2: She really kicked this ship off because she thought that
- 39:50Speaker 2: she could be like in the middle. She thought that
- 39:53Speaker 2: she could she didn't have to pick a side.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Yeah, she could play both sides for the middle, which
- 39:57Speaker 1: and she was the biracial character, right, so she was
- 39:59Speaker 1: an age the chaos and who else was the Asian
- 40:01Speaker 1: and chaos the Asian woman? Come on here, God, damn it,
- 40:06Speaker 1: she invited them, motherfuckers, because right right, she invited them inside.
- 40:13Speaker 1: You know, So those two women who were non black
- 40:16Speaker 1: characters were the agents of chaos the whole time.
- 40:20Speaker 2: For me, I agree, I agree. Let's talk about the
- 40:27Speaker 2: Asian family. I just want to give a little history
- 40:30Speaker 2: also with the movie. Y'all know, like back during Jim
- 40:33Speaker 2: Crow time, when you think about racism in America, it's
- 40:36Speaker 2: like only between black and white for the most like,
- 40:38Speaker 2: that's what people think. But where were all these other people?
- 40:41Speaker 2: They existed too, right, right, So the Asians played a
- 40:44Speaker 2: big part in history in that time because they were
- 40:48Speaker 2: basically empowered by white people to oppress us. So white
- 40:53Speaker 2: supremacy has never just been about white people alone oppressing anybody, right,
- 41:00Speaker 2: It has been a systematic thing, right, because they too
- 41:05Speaker 2: came as immigrants. Well not too, because we were here, right,
- 41:08Speaker 2: some of us were already here. So they too are
- 41:10Speaker 2: now in America because they had they had things like
- 41:14Speaker 2: some type of oppression that happened to them as well,
- 41:16Speaker 2: and they had to come ended up coming here and
- 41:18Speaker 2: they get reparations. They got reparations at some point too.
- 41:21Speaker 2: We the only people who never got reparations right right,
- 41:23Speaker 2: because they had them in concentrations, camps and shit like
- 41:26Speaker 2: that on the soil at one point in history. But
- 41:30Speaker 2: they were able to set up shop in black communities,
- 41:33Speaker 2: and that allowed white people to then extract the resources
- 41:37Speaker 2: indirectly from black people through the Asians because the Asians
- 41:41Speaker 2: could get funding. Exactly, they had.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Two stories in the black community. And listen, she only
- 41:47Speaker 1: like when it was beneficial for her family. She's like,
- 41:50Speaker 1: are we leaving? She sent her husband out there, and
- 41:53Speaker 1: then when it was about her family and her family alone,
- 41:57Speaker 1: she invited them in.
- 41:59Speaker 2: She didn't give fuck is like my family Dead's not
- 42:02Speaker 2: all y'all gotta die. And this is why black people like,
- 42:05Speaker 2: we definitely be on an island by ourselves, you know
- 42:08Speaker 2: what I'm saying. We really don't have allies in that way,
- 42:12Speaker 2: even like and I'm gonna say this, and this is
- 42:15Speaker 2: an ongoing argument between Black Americans, black people in America
- 42:19Speaker 2: and Africans, you know what I'm saying, and different black
- 42:22Speaker 2: skinned people across the diaspora. Everybody like niggas shit, but
- 42:28Speaker 2: they don't like niggas, you know what I'm saying. So
- 42:32Speaker 2: the same way that Asians will send their people to
- 42:34Speaker 2: another country to another continent and empower them on that continent.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Africans come to America and they send their money back home,
- 42:44Speaker 2: why wouldn't they just help empower us here? Like why
- 42:46Speaker 2: we gotta come to Ghana and get citizenship. It's cool,
- 42:49Speaker 2: we could do duel, we could do both, but why
- 42:52Speaker 2: not empower your people on every part of this world?
- 42:57Speaker 2: Everywhere the biggest y'all are like like Africa's like.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Essentially mean a lot of those people who are sending
- 43:04Speaker 1: money home are sending money to poverty. You know, it's
- 43:08Speaker 1: not like they they sending money are some of them
- 43:11Speaker 1: are sending money back to rich family.
- 43:12Speaker 2: There are a lot of rich people in Africa, like
- 43:15Speaker 2: the way they depict Africa here in America, like Nigga's
- 43:18Speaker 2: not Benedict and was like, I didn't even know America
- 43:21Speaker 2: had bums on the street. They thought we was over
- 43:23Speaker 2: here living the golden life.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I mean in some places we are, but there are
- 43:30Speaker 1: there is a lot of wealth in Africa, a lot.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Now you did you see how Remick basically assimilated once
- 43:39Speaker 2: he saw the ku klux lay gown on the bed,
- 43:42Speaker 2: because initially he was calling the Indians chakta by their
- 43:46Speaker 2: their names right. But the minute he realized who he
- 43:50Speaker 2: was dealing with at the house, like when he was
- 43:51Speaker 2: trying to get into the couple's house, the minute when
- 43:54Speaker 2: he realized that they were the KKK, he assimilated. Yeah,
- 43:57Speaker 2: he played on everybody shit and he played the role.
- 44:00Speaker 2: And that also shows like in America, Italians don't consider
- 44:03Speaker 2: themselves white. Irish don't really consider themselves white. They associate
- 44:08Speaker 2: themselves with their body of land where they're from. I'm
- 44:12Speaker 2: talking about actual Italians, actual Irish people.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I would need to speak to one of them to
- 44:18Speaker 1: hear what they have to say about that.
- 44:20Speaker 2: They're not the same, you know what I'm saying. We
- 44:22Speaker 2: be the same way, We're not the same. Like we
- 44:24Speaker 2: be lumping people up in a group, just like Hispanics.
- 44:28Speaker 2: We be calling people everybody Mexican. Everybody that speaks Spanish
- 44:31Speaker 2: is not Mexican. Who does that? A lot of people
- 44:35Speaker 2: do that. A lot of people assume Spanish speaking people
- 44:38Speaker 2: are all Mexicans. They don't even think about all these
- 44:41Speaker 2: other countries.
- 44:42Speaker 1: That's very ignorant.
- 44:43Speaker 2: It is ignorant, but it happens, You're right, So it
- 44:46Speaker 2: is ignorant to say just because somebody has white skin,
- 44:49Speaker 2: that they're white American, or that they're European.
- 44:53Speaker 1: My grandmother and my grandmother was partially white, which is interesting.
- 44:59Speaker 2: The grandmama was Mary, my great.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Grandma was very My grandma was because my great grandmother
- 45:08Speaker 1: was half white, my grandmother was.
- 45:10Speaker 2: She had a black dad, so she was like three persons.
- 45:14Speaker 1: I don't know how that works anyway, but she was
- 45:18Speaker 1: an equal opportunity racist. I always say that, like she
- 45:21Speaker 1: was racist against everybody, black, White, Asian, Hispanic, you name it.
- 45:27Speaker 1: So I appreciate that.
- 45:30Speaker 2: That's how I am. I mean, like, for the most part,
- 45:33Speaker 2: I don't funk with nobody, Like, can't nobody walk behind me.
- 45:38Speaker 2: I don't trust none of y'all niggas, none of them,
- 45:42Speaker 2: none of them. So have y'all ever read the book?
- 45:46Speaker 2: Have you ever read the book Delectable Negro? No? I
- 45:51Speaker 2: encourage everybody to read The Delectable Negro. It's the human
- 45:56Speaker 2: consumption and homo eroticism within US slave culture. And he
- 46:00Speaker 2: has a little brief, little summary, so it basically talks
- 46:05Speaker 2: about like how they were consuming black people during slavery,
- 46:11Speaker 2: literally eating. Yes, do you remember in the movie where
- 46:17Speaker 2: oh God, I should have wrote down a character names,
- 46:20Speaker 2: but the guy who played the played the saxophone, and
- 46:23Speaker 2: no was he playing yeah saxophone and singing the fine
- 46:28Speaker 2: old man.
- 46:28Speaker 1: His name is Delroy Lindo in real life, but his
- 46:32Speaker 1: character's name was deada Slim.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Delta Delta slim, so Delta slim. Do you remember when
- 46:38Speaker 2: he was talking about when he passed, when they passed
- 46:41Speaker 2: by the people slaving when they weren't slaving. Now we
- 46:44Speaker 2: talk about fourteenth Amendment. They're in jail right because slavery
- 46:47Speaker 2: just turned into the fourteenth Amendment. That's why we still
- 46:50Speaker 2: got to get that shit abolished, because it's legal slavery
- 46:52Speaker 2: if you commit a crime. But imagine you put in
- 46:55Speaker 2: crimes and charges on black people to put them back
- 46:58Speaker 2: in slavery. So when they were riding down that street car,
- 47:02Speaker 2: get your hands up. And then he told the story
- 47:04Speaker 2: of how the white people captured them and was taking
- 47:08Speaker 2: them from place to place, making them play right. And
- 47:13Speaker 2: he said how when the one guy like tried to
- 47:16Speaker 2: break off and buck and tried to go off on
- 47:19Speaker 2: his own, they lynched him right at the train station,
- 47:22Speaker 2: and they ate they cut his dick off. They literally
- 47:30Speaker 2: consumed black people. They ate us because we are magical.
- 47:36Speaker 2: The melanin is magic.
- 47:38Speaker 1: I do want to get eight. I ain't been eight
- 47:40Speaker 1: so long. I'm sorry.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Sorry. So y'all read The Delectable Negro, okay, And you
- 47:50Speaker 2: know in that book also it talks about the time
- 47:52Speaker 2: we're currently in. Don't you know? The first biracial couple
- 47:54Speaker 2: excuse me, trans biracial couple to get married happen right
- 47:59Speaker 2: here in y'all in South Carolina. A black man married
- 48:02Speaker 2: a white uh trans woman in America in Charleston.
- 48:12Speaker 1: You know, I can't keep up with that.
- 48:17Speaker 2: And in that book The Delectable Negro, they talked about
- 48:20Speaker 2: how black men started to acquiesce to the advances of
- 48:24Speaker 2: the white men because they weren't just raping black women,
- 48:26Speaker 2: they were raping the men too. Buck breaking is where
- 48:29Speaker 2: that comes from. And they started calling black men the
- 48:33Speaker 2: lady of the race in the book, m and these
- 48:39Speaker 2: are actual accounts from different people throughout that time, throughout slavery.
- 48:45Speaker 2: They have actual accounts that you know, people the grios,
- 48:47Speaker 2: they took down history and put it in this book.
- 48:50Speaker 2: So I do suggest a lot of people to do
- 48:52Speaker 2: you know.
- 48:52Speaker 1: In Florida that they used to use black babies as
- 48:55Speaker 1: gator bait. That is insane. That so I will never
- 49:01Speaker 1: be There is no reparation that exists that would ever
- 49:04Speaker 1: be enough for them that we've experienced in this country.
- 49:08Speaker 2: And black people are washed up like we're the oldest
- 49:10Speaker 2: on the planet and white people are the youngest, and
- 49:12Speaker 2: they act like it. We will never ever be able
- 49:15Speaker 2: to do the things that they did and do to
- 49:18Speaker 2: get and maintain power. We're not gonna ever be able
- 49:21Speaker 2: to feed their babies to an alligator. We're not gonna
- 49:24Speaker 2: be able to use the babies as batting practice. They
- 49:26Speaker 2: did that type of shit. Also, we're not gonna be
- 49:28Speaker 2: able to consume and eat them.
- 49:30Speaker 1: We would never want to, not even the have That's
- 49:34Speaker 1: what I'm saying.
- 49:34Speaker 2: That's not our genetic makeup. We can't. We can't do that,
- 49:38Speaker 2: you know. So even things like uh, when people think
- 49:41Speaker 2: of the devil and demons, they think of six sixty six, right,
- 49:45Speaker 2: that they have literally even made that a bad thing,
- 49:48Speaker 2: and it's not it's literally like the chemical uh makeup
- 49:54Speaker 2: of melanin six protons, six neutrons, six electrons, and they
- 49:59Speaker 2: call it the mark the beast, and who they this
- 50:01Speaker 2: gorilla shit? Who the hell started the ship with the
- 50:04Speaker 2: gorilla fighting, the whole world fight. One hundred men fighting.
- 50:09Speaker 2: That is literally a representation of us, not calling us
- 50:11Speaker 2: gorillas like they like to. But we know they like
- 50:13Speaker 2: to call us monkeys. They used to call us monkeys, right,
- 50:18Speaker 2: They like to associate black.
- 50:19Speaker 1: People still do in mix with not in mixed company,
- 50:23Speaker 1: you know. But first of all, I think that's like,
- 50:28Speaker 1: how do you know what we were having bullshit to
- 50:30Speaker 1: talk about one hundred men versus a gorilla? First of all,
- 50:33Speaker 1: they talking about what was the female equivalent of that?
- 50:35Speaker 1: There is not one, because we are not stupid.
- 50:38Speaker 2: We're not partaking in that bullshit like imagine us. Right.
- 50:44Speaker 2: This is why I say it's the representation of black people.
- 50:46Speaker 2: We just chilling in our element, in our environments, and
- 50:49Speaker 2: motherfuckers is working over time to figure out how to
- 50:52Speaker 2: keep fucking us up for generations and generations like we
- 50:55Speaker 2: not even wanting to fight. The gorilla is chilling, and
- 50:58Speaker 2: it's in habitat and it's and it's happened that y'all
- 51:01Speaker 2: trying to go over there and fight him for what,
- 51:03Speaker 2: just to see if you can. That's what they do
- 51:06Speaker 2: to us. We be chilling and they come over here
- 51:11Speaker 2: fucking with us.
- 51:13Speaker 1: I can't wait to see what else Ryan Cooler is
- 51:17Speaker 1: gonna cook up. I can't it solidify himself as a
- 51:22Speaker 1: force to be recorded in the film industry. He already
- 51:26Speaker 1: did that with A Black Panther, but this one, this
- 51:28Speaker 1: one took him to Spielbird level.
- 51:31Speaker 2: To me, yeah, I didn't A Black Panther didn't do
- 51:34Speaker 2: this for me that this film didn't. It just didn't.
- 51:37Speaker 1: You know.
- 51:37Speaker 2: It did display black excellence right, and it was it
- 51:41Speaker 2: was very powerful.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it was powerful filming, but.
- 51:44Speaker 2: It was It's just something. It's something different about this
- 51:47Speaker 2: because it we definitely got to fix the music. The
- 51:50Speaker 2: frequency is off, even the channels, our radio stations beyond, Like,
- 51:55Speaker 2: the frequency is fucked up and we need to get
- 51:58Speaker 2: back to a a good vibration listennigas when.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Me and AJ went to see Drake and twenty one
- 52:06Speaker 1: Savage in concert and we're in this building, we're all
- 52:10Speaker 1: in this circular shape and doom and they saying murder,
- 52:16Speaker 1: gang shit, murder, and this whole is chanting that ship.
- 52:21Speaker 1: What did I say to you?
- 52:23Speaker 2: I don't like this, this don't feel good, and I
- 52:25Speaker 2: don't I don't be singing songs like that.
- 52:27Speaker 1: This dude don't feel good to me. This do not
- 52:29Speaker 1: feel good. I don't like.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Who's in the middle.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Drake is twenty one.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Powering them up. And then they have a big guys
- 52:37Speaker 2: statue of Virgil. Yeah, yeah, like it's like worshiping him
- 52:44Speaker 2: as a deity of some sort. This statue was at
- 52:47Speaker 2: least I don't know what, twenty foot tall.
- 52:50Speaker 1: It was huge. It was more than twenty feet it was.
- 52:53Speaker 2: However tall. It was big, big ass, just a big
- 52:56Speaker 2: ass statue in the middle of the the coliseum. That
- 53:00Speaker 2: shit is not just like, it's not just a concert.
- 53:03Speaker 2: That's why I don't go to concerts. That's why I
- 53:06Speaker 2: don't go to large events like that, Like where you're chanting,
- 53:10Speaker 2: they telling you what to say. Beyonce did it the
- 53:12Speaker 2: whole year. Last year and the year before, had people
- 53:15Speaker 2: saying all type of shit. You got the little black
- 53:18Speaker 2: and white, little shit that kind of programs your mind
- 53:21Speaker 2: going on the screen like all these things. People don't
- 53:24Speaker 2: realize what they be partaking it, but it's always signs
- 53:26Speaker 2: and symbols for the conscious mind. You just gotta be
- 53:29Speaker 2: paying attention.
- 53:31Speaker 1: It had me very uncomfortable.
- 53:32Speaker 2: I was like, I'm going to the bar, right, So
- 53:35Speaker 2: what if we get back to because at the end
- 53:37Speaker 2: of the movie, Sammy's now an old man in this
- 53:40Speaker 2: jup joint he's playing at. He's played all around the world,
- 53:42Speaker 2: and he still uses original instruments when he's playing, like
- 53:45Speaker 2: you know, blues his guitar. So Stack and Mary walks
- 53:50Speaker 2: in there at the very en and this is the
- 53:51Speaker 2: part Timmy told me to wait till after the credits,
- 53:54Speaker 2: no leave, So they walking down there in modern time.
- 53:56Speaker 2: He had a he has on coooji. Old girl got
- 53:58Speaker 2: on her little her little suited and.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Booted with her and Blowpop listened. I resented her character.
- 54:04Speaker 1: A part of me just had resentment for her character,
- 54:07Speaker 1: And I just don't know why I felt.
- 54:08Speaker 2: It, because she took her ass out there like she
- 54:10Speaker 2: was one of them, so she was trying to play.
- 54:12Speaker 2: She was married to a white man because basically Stack
- 54:15Speaker 2: wanted to keep her safe, right, and he knew he
- 54:17Speaker 2: couldn't be with her if they thought that she was biracial.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Her mama was white and her daddy was black, and
- 54:22Speaker 2: her mom raised them. So apparently their mom died at
- 54:29Speaker 2: childbirth trying to birth Stack and Smoke ended up killing
- 54:34Speaker 2: killing the father because he was abusing Stack. I think
- 54:37Speaker 2: he blamed him for the mom's birth, the mom's death
- 54:40Speaker 2: at birth. But Stack was trying to come out sideways
- 54:44Speaker 2: when the mom when her mom was trying to deliver
- 54:47Speaker 2: him as a baby. So she basically raised them. They
- 54:50Speaker 2: went in the military too, because I remember at the
- 54:51Speaker 2: end he had this whole thing full of and they
- 54:53Speaker 2: always had a dog chains on. They used to be
- 54:56Speaker 2: circle back then. Now they're square, but they used to
- 54:59Speaker 2: be like circle, the military dog chains So these was
- 55:02Speaker 2: military trained niggas. Let me ask you this before you
- 55:05Speaker 2: get into the end.
- 55:09Speaker 1: Do you what what kept I can't remember which one?
- 55:14Speaker 1: Which one was the vampire Stack sack?
- 55:17Speaker 2: Mm hm.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Did what kept him from biting his brother? He tried
- 55:22Speaker 1: to buy him, but he couldn't bite him. Was it
- 55:27Speaker 1: was it the schigul that she created for him or
- 55:30Speaker 1: she had from his dog?
- 55:34Speaker 2: No, it was it was the sack. It was his
- 55:36Speaker 2: his voodoo low, his voodoo low sack. Because remember at
- 55:39Speaker 2: the end, he took it off because he was ready
- 55:41Speaker 2: to die. He took it off and he was ready
- 55:44Speaker 2: to die and be with his family. Yeah, to be
- 55:46Speaker 2: with his family, with Annie and the baby. So that's
- 55:50Speaker 2: what was protecting him, that protected him his whole life.
- 55:53Speaker 2: He done been through a bunch of shit, but he
- 55:56Speaker 2: had his little Sashel with his with his magic, and
- 55:59Speaker 2: it for from his low one. Okay, and let me
- 56:02Speaker 2: think that's the cover of a woman.
- 56:05Speaker 1: Right, the power.
- 56:06Speaker 2: All right, think about this too.
- 56:08Speaker 1: When the white guys came to they were coming to
- 56:10Speaker 1: kill everybody playing. They were coming and they couldn't The
- 56:14Speaker 1: door was locked, they couldn't go in. So what's your
- 56:18Speaker 1: idea on that. I thought that his brother was in
- 56:23Speaker 1: there being protected from the sun. Even in death, he
- 56:27Speaker 1: was still protecting his brother. He didn't let he didn't
- 56:29Speaker 1: kill his brother, you know, like stake him, because he
- 56:32Speaker 1: was already he's undead, right, so he didn't stake his brother.
- 56:35Speaker 1: He could have staked his brother, but he didn't. And
- 56:38Speaker 1: then he protected him from the sun by killing those
- 56:42Speaker 1: white men.
- 56:42Speaker 2: But you remember at the end though, when Sammy asked
- 56:47Speaker 2: him how they got away, He asked Stack and Anna
- 56:49Speaker 2: how they got away? They did like a they went
- 56:52Speaker 2: back and they show you them running off. So when
- 56:55Speaker 2: they all died at the at the at the river,
- 56:58Speaker 2: when all the other vampire died at the river, along
- 57:01Speaker 2: with Relic Remick. They didn't die, they had already ran off. Yeah,
- 57:06Speaker 2: so I don't think they I don't think he was
- 57:08Speaker 2: in the barn. They had already got lost by then.
- 57:10Speaker 2: But I think he just had it locked. He locked
- 57:14Speaker 2: the barn and then he was shooting gas from the forest.
- 57:17Speaker 1: I thought he was protecting his brother from the sun.
- 57:20Speaker 2: See. So they really don't tell you why he kept him,
- 57:23Speaker 2: why they kept each other. But we know that Sack
- 57:27Speaker 2: was protecting Smoke, but they really don't.
- 57:30Speaker 1: I guess it's just a brother's.
- 57:31Speaker 2: Love, right, like just remembering. And then he kept his
- 57:34Speaker 2: promise also to Smoke to not kill Sammy. But now
- 57:40Speaker 2: going back to the very end when they get to
- 57:42Speaker 2: the Duke Joint, Sammy's an old man now, he doesn't
- 57:44Speaker 2: played it all over the world. He basically rebuked the
- 57:47Speaker 2: church and went on to play his music right, and
- 57:52Speaker 2: Stack told him, like you know what I'm saying, like this,
- 57:55Speaker 2: I love this music. That that new electric ship is cool,
- 57:57Speaker 2: but it's just not what it is. So y'all know
- 58:00Speaker 2: the Ataweights, Kanye West had a whole album called Ato
- 58:03Speaker 2: Weights and Heartbreaks. The CIA created pro Tools. Pro Tools
- 58:08Speaker 2: is a system that they use, you know, to create beats,
- 58:11Speaker 2: so you have all these mechanical, computerized sounds. You no
- 58:15Speaker 2: longer need the actual instruments. So we just playing the
- 58:19Speaker 2: devil through this shit now. And when I say devil
- 58:22Speaker 2: is just, it's not just. It's an entity. It's an
- 58:24Speaker 2: energy that got our people fucked up. You see it
- 58:27Speaker 2: in they clone tyrone, the chicken sandwiches and the music
- 58:31Speaker 2: making you do shit, what niggas be playing when they
- 58:33Speaker 2: go murder somebody, they planning to kill somebody, playing the
- 58:35Speaker 2: worst fucking music possible while they go do these things,
- 58:39Speaker 2: and they they we're allowed to create this normalized Yeah,
- 58:43Speaker 2: and it's glorified because if you make some like what
- 58:46Speaker 2: Drake said, Kendrick Lamar rap like he's trying to free
- 58:49Speaker 2: the slaves, y'all think that's okay for a nigga to
- 58:52Speaker 2: say that is not okay. Yeah, Like he wants to
- 58:56Speaker 2: put more life into the music as opposed to rapping
- 58:59Speaker 2: about that's all the time.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Right. I'm here for that because I don't like that
- 59:03Speaker 1: shit one bit.
- 59:04Speaker 2: And we we somehow, I don't know how right, it
- 59:09Speaker 2: just gotta be it really, and it's happening, but it's
- 59:14Speaker 2: very slow, right, because there's a thing called one hundred
- 59:17Speaker 2: monkey theories. So it just take me you having this
- 59:19Speaker 2: conversation right now, right to spark that idea in the
- 59:23Speaker 2: minds of our listeners, right, and then they then had
- 59:26Speaker 2: the conversation with the next people. So it only really
- 59:28Speaker 2: take one hundred motherfuckers. It only take a hundred monkeys
- 59:34Speaker 2: to spread thought, to spread this thought. It's just like
- 59:38Speaker 2: and what that theory is is like they teach the
- 59:40Speaker 2: monkey to do something over here, and somehow the monkeys
- 59:43Speaker 2: in another country start doing the same thing. It just
- 59:46Speaker 2: spreads through the universe.
- 59:49Speaker 1: Well, hopefully it'll catch because Slotter gangshit ain't okay.
- 59:56Speaker 2: It's not, man, it's not because none of those rappers
- 59:59Speaker 2: want that life of the children, right, but you don't
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: give a fuck about other people's kids at all.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Right, But then it's like, all right, we don't hold
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: movies to the same standard, you know, like we don't
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: hold actors. Why do we have because all right, that
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: brings up the conversation like they're entertainers. This is entertainment
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: you are to teach your children.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: But it's the music though, it's actually the actual beat,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: the actual music that these it's the frequency of these
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: sounds that are coming out of your radio, coming out
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: of your phone that you got to your air and
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: a bluetooth electric like that. Shit has radiation coming through,
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: programming your whole body. That's the difference. When you're watching
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: a movie, it's no real sound other than the people talking.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Well, there's music too in movies, but I get what
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: you're saying, not as much as a different connection with
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: the frequency of music than in movies.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: M Yeah, So it's really it's literally programming you if
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: you're not consciously aware of what it is that you're
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: listening to and what you're partaking in and what you
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: reciting and repeating. You know. So, I ain't here to
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: power nobody up. I just want to empower myself and
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: the people who want to be empowered in a positive way.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: I mean, because on this realm, this hell realm we
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: live in right now, like evil be prevailing like a motherfucker,
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: but it is shifting. There is a shift, I feel it.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: That's why when people like we're gonna be back in
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: slavery and all that, like, I feel more empowered now.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: More people be saying that we're gonna be back at
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: who when? How like that's gonna be a choice for real.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Y'all been mad at Kanye when he said slavery was
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: a choice. But if y'all niggas go to slavery right now,
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: you really made that choice. And literally we are making
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: that choice. Who's but how we're collectively black people. It's
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: not me and you, right, but collectively because these are
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: still our people. There are a lot of people. Look
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: how many black men are in prison. They chose that shit,
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: a lot of them. A lot of them were kidnapped,
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: just like back then. There's a lot of people who
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: done died in prison and they got them buried in
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: the back, and they still counting them on us sentenus.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: They've been murdered them. It's a lot of different weird
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: shit going on amongst in prison.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I watched last night and I think y'all should take
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: the time to watch it. Shooting Guards on Netflix about
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Gilbert Arenas and Javares Crittinin Crittin, I can't think of
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: how to say his last name, But what happens between
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: those two young men in the NBA and how it
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: leads to a murder of a young black mother of four.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: I didn't see that I never even heard about that.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Didn't give it. Arenas get put out of He got
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: put out the NBA because.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Of it, right, No, he did not. The other guy
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: ended up getting put out the NBA because of it.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but Arenas didn't give it out the NBA.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I think he got suspended fifty games and was able
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: to come back and play. But the other guy, the rookie,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: he was expendable and he pretty much got They got
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: rid of him.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Didn't he pull a gun out on somebody?
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Yeah, they had guns in the locker room. And you
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: watch that story and it is just heartbreaking when you
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: said jail is a choice, because he ends up going
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: that young man who was the rookie, Javar's Kritenom. I'm
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: not sure if I'm pronouncing his last name right. But
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: he ends up murdering a young black mother and only
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: doing ten years in jail for it because because the
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: deal that he made with the DA or something like that.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: A mother of four, she was twenty two years old.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Why did he kill her?
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: He got somebody the dude that she was, I don't
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: know she was messing with the dude or not, but
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: she was with this guy. He robbed him and he
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: went back to retaliate against him for robbing him, and
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: instead of shooting the guy who robbed him, he killed her.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: And yeah, and he's free now, and I feel bad,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: and honestly I feel bad for him as well. Y'all
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: when you get a chance, watch Shooting Guards on Netflix.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: It just came out this week, might have came out
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: yesterday or the day before, Shooting Guard. Shooting Guards and
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: just how you know the system like it's fucked up, man,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: it's really fucked up. And how these young black men
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: making poor choices in the trickle down effect. It caused
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: this young black woman to lose her life.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mean when people make a decision to
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: do like crimes and stuff, it does, especially murder, it
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: does not just affect you. And half of these men
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: be having children of their own, So now you're creating
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: a broken family and all because you got emotional. Like
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: gangsters and thugs are the most emotional beings on this world.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Like they want to kill you because you step on
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: a fucking shoe, All right, Okay, they want to beef
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: with you over a bitch they want to be but
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: we call bitch ass nigga. No, it's just man shit.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: They they are just though it's just weak shit to
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: want to kill somebody because of some shit that you know,
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: could have been an accident, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: or just something that's not even worth losing your life
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: over or taking a life over. They get so emotional respect.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: That's what his biggest thing was his respect, respect and
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: giving respect and receiving it.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: Was he actually giving respect, was he being disrespected?
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: He really wasn't a bad guy, honestly, Hey, j It's
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: just really a sad situation because he just did not have.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: A black role model.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: He didn't have no father figure, he didn't have anybody
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: to teach him how to be a man, you know,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: and he.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: Was just a kid. Him saying, Gilbert Arena has probably
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: always been a bitch ass nigga, like harassed niggas. Yeah,
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: he was yeah, antagonist, Yeah, very much, and you and
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: probably pushed it to the limit.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he really did.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: He really did that.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: And you'll see that in a documentary. He missed it
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: that he was a prankster. He always rode the line
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: of going too far, you know, with people. That was
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: just what he did. And because he was like the
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: star of this team. They would let him get away
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: with shit. Mm hmmm, So y'all go watch that ship.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: Sound like a demon to me. Mm hmm, sound like
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: a vampire to me.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Right his life. But yeah, I know that was on
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: the Tangent, but it was.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: The whole episode, was the Tangent, Bitch. I can say
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: so many other things, like it's just the one last
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: thing I want you to think about is the royal
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: family over in Europe. Okay, you got King Charles the
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: Third over there, do y'all remember when he got what
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: is the big ceremony when they get like, you know,
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: they become the now, like once his mom died, they
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: made him the king or whatever. But the portrait that
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: they put up of him, that portrait of him with
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: all that red blood in the buyer. Yeah, so King
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: charged Was the third is actually a descendant of Vlad
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: the Empoler, the Impola and the Impaler is how you
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: pronounce it, yeah, Glad the Impaler? All right? So uh,
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: he's basically known as Dracula, Like that's where they get
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: the word from, Like they named him Dracula. So King
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Charles the Third and that royal family that's over there
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: sitting like they actually the heirs to the throne. They're vampires.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Have y'all looked at King Charles or some of them
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: family members, They don't look alive. You remember that one
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: that was sitting in the back of the cart. Because
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: I don't know who Carl. They could come over here
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: if they want. I got some pickled garlic for that ass.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: Bring your ass over here if you want to. I'm
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: definitely a damn dragon slayer. I like dragons. I'm definitely
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: an vampire slayer.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: Exactly who you are because people be saying they don't
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: know our it's a part and.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Goddess is shot. That's who I am. Okay, so come
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: over here if you want to, and you're gonna get
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: shot with a silver bullet. But anyway, King Charles got
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: all his land and all his property in Transylvania. Y'all
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: know Transylvania is like famous for the vampires. That's where
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Dracula lived.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: But I think Dracula was from Pennsylvania.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: Get off my phone, anyway, y'all. I like I like
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: these Little Rants. I love that movie so much. I
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: cannot wait for it to come out on DVD or whatever.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: But I'm gonna watch that ship a couple more times.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: It's like, you know, you keep watching shit. You see
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: other things like the crosses on the wall and the
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: church that's like the Sun, the God, the Holy Spirit,
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: like the Holy Trinity. Like, yeah, I want to watch
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: the movie a couple more times because I feel like
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: I missed some ship. Yeah, you get new jewels, little
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: rabbit little rabbit holes. I'm gonna go down anyway, y'all. Well,
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: I like this type of shit. If you enjoy this episode, y'all,
