Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Celebrity news like that guard.
- 0:03Speaker 2: So following those claims from the British contestants of Married
- 0:06Speaker 2: at First Side who came out and had those rape
- 0:08Speaker 2: allegations against some of their husbands on the show, now
- 0:12Speaker 2: some Aussies have come out with similar kind of claims
- 0:16Speaker 2: against This is Married at First Side Australia. So the
- 0:19Speaker 2: names of these people haven't been revealed, but one woman
- 0:21Speaker 2: from last year's Australian series says she wasn't told that
- 0:24Speaker 2: the man she was matched with had a drug conviction,
- 0:27Speaker 2: so she only found out after the show ended. And
- 0:29Speaker 2: there's also been another groom on the same series that
- 0:32Speaker 2: apparently had a past conviction of a fray, which, if
- 0:35Speaker 2: you don't know, a fray is a criminal offense that
- 0:37Speaker 2: involves fighting, brawling, or using threatening and unlawful violence, so
- 0:40Speaker 2: a violent crime. So I know that they're doing police
- 0:43Speaker 2: checks on these contestants, but I don't know what they're
- 0:45Speaker 2: looking for because there's violent crime, there's drug conviction, yet
- 0:47Speaker 2: they're still putting these grooms on the show, which you
- 0:49Speaker 2: could argue is very unsafe for these women and they
- 0:51Speaker 2: have no knowledge of it whatsoever. Because in the real
- 0:54Speaker 2: dating world, you can make the choice for yourself if
- 0:56Speaker 2: that's someone you want to date and live with, and things.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Like that don't always tell you I do.
- 1:01Speaker 2: They that they've got a Channel nine and Demlshein should
- 1:04Speaker 2: be protecting the contestants. So they've released a joint statement
- 1:06Speaker 2: saying they had strong protocols in place to ensure participant
- 1:10Speaker 2: safety and well being. But I'll update you as more
- 1:13Speaker 2: of that story comes to light. Now Tyra Banks has
- 1:16Speaker 2: filed a defamation lawsuit against Netflix. And this is all
- 1:18Speaker 2: because of that docu series that came out. Did you
- 1:20Speaker 2: watch it? Reality Check Inside America's Next time? I watched it?
- 1:23Speaker 2: I watched. Yeah, it was pretty horrifying, pretty horrifying because look,
- 1:28Speaker 2: she obviously voluntarily went on this documentary and spoke her truth.
- 1:32Speaker 2: She admitted to some wrongdoing, like you know, this explosive
- 1:35Speaker 2: outburst that she had in two thousand and five toward
- 1:38Speaker 2: a contestant. It's probably the most memorable Tira moment.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I've never in my life you ordered.
- 1:42Speaker 2: A girl like this my love and yells that this.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Is because she loves me. I was ruining for you.
- 1:48Speaker 1: We're all ruling for you out, Damn you.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I'm scared. It was a full on TV show. But
- 1:53Speaker 2: now she's requested a jury trial to determine the appropriate
- 1:56Speaker 2: amount of money she should receive in damages because she
- 1:59Speaker 2: reckons that the whole documentary rescued to make her look bad,
- 2:02Speaker 2: which I can't disagree with to be honest. Apparently, her
- 2:05Speaker 2: interviews she did for this documentary as well were three
- 2:08Speaker 2: hours long, and they only had sixteen minutes of it.
- 2:10Speaker 2: She's claiming that in those sixteen minutes, the clips were
- 2:12Speaker 2: stripped of concept qui scripts, of context, sorry, and supported
- 2:16Speaker 2: a false, intefamatory narrative about her. So, yeah, I mean
- 2:20Speaker 2: that show. There's one thing that stuck with me in Brooklyn.
- 2:22Speaker 2: You'll know what I'm talking about if you watched it.
- 2:24Speaker 2: This woman's mother was murdered by being shot in the
- 2:26Speaker 2: head and had a photo shoot where they made the
- 2:29Speaker 2: girl whose mother was murdered in that way lay on
- 2:31Speaker 2: the ground with a fake bullet with my head. Yeah,
- 2:34Speaker 2: it was just crazy because they did to make good TV.
- 2:37Speaker 2: And there was also a rape claim. One of the
- 2:39Speaker 2: contestants claim they were raped, So it's full on. But yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 2: we'll see.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah, she did say I mean she was in the
- 2:45Speaker 1: documentary gave her point of view on everything, and it's like,
- 2:48Speaker 1: well that from my perspective, like that's journalism, you know,
- 2:52Speaker 1: you make claims and the person who it's against gets
- 2:55Speaker 1: to answer them. I don't know, So she's doing the
- 2:59Speaker 1: villain edit thing, yeah, saying oh I was edited, but
- 3:02Speaker 1: you she did so altho not a live interview, of course,
- 3:04Speaker 1: it's going to be edited to a degree.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I think it's as well because she was obviously one
- 3:08Speaker 2: of the judges, but she also created the show, so
- 3:10Speaker 2: she's copying it because she is the show, you know
- 3:13Speaker 2: what I mean. So it kind of makes sense that
- 3:14Speaker 2: if there's something bad that happened on the show, you know,
- 3:17Speaker 2: she's going to fall on her shoulders exactly. And finally,
- 3:20Speaker 2: Emra Dakowski, she's that really hot model that was in
- 3:22Speaker 2: the Blurred Lines music video back in the day icony
- 3:25Speaker 2: oh yeah, best said of moments in Hollywood coming. So anyway,
- 3:29Speaker 2: she was married to a film producer named Sebastian Bear
- 3:32Speaker 2: McLeod for four years and in that time they had
- 3:35Speaker 2: a son. But obviously since she had to enter the
- 3:38Speaker 2: dating scene again as a single mother. But she says
- 3:41Speaker 2: the narrative actually went a different way to what she
- 3:43Speaker 2: thought and men thought it was the biggest turn on
- 3:45Speaker 2: that she was a single mother. She said, I learned
- 3:48Speaker 2: many men are actually turned on by mums. And then
- 3:51Speaker 2: when you look like that, yeah, that's the thing, right.
- 3:53Speaker 2: And she also said the post breakup, she went on
- 3:56Speaker 2: like a sex free and she said she decided to
- 3:58Speaker 2: f her way into a new kind of woman. So, Mikey,
- 4:00Speaker 2: I want to know, as a single man single moms,
- 4:04Speaker 2: would you date one? Well, I'm not single, you were single?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Oh right, yeah, I I never.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Dated a single mom.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Okay, that's my way of answering. But you're not. Were
- 4:17Speaker 2: you against them? Or I just never dated a single mom.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I can't even imagine you parenting a child. Already got
- 4:27Speaker 2: so offendity. Can you see me as a father? I said, no, no,
- 4:30Speaker 2: I remember that.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I still remember.
- 4:33Speaker 2: And that's like ten years ago. What did you say?
- 4:35Speaker 2: I don't know. I said it a few weeks ago.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I still again, Yeah, you asked me, and I said, truthfully,
- 4:40Speaker 2: I cannot, Like, I just think some people and it's
- 4:43Speaker 2: not an insult, you just you.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Sounds pretty insulting to me.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Well, I know Mikey quite well, and I just can't
- 4:50Speaker 2: imagine him putting a child before himself.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I'm going to be the best father in the world.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I'm happy to be proven wrong, but you will be. Okay,
- 4:59Speaker 2: you'll eat your shorts. Okay, why would I eat my shorts.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Because I'm being a good father and I'm coming to
- 5:04Speaker 1: your house with a pair of shorts watching.
- 5:06Speaker 2: You eat them shorts to my house. Oh there'll be
- 5:10Speaker 2: my shorts. Yeah, anyway,
