- 0:49least 2 dead and dozens injured, according to German officials.
- 0:53Musk's remark immediately drew both condemnation and applause,
- 0:57underscoring is increasingly polarizing role now adding fuel
- 1:01to this fire, Musk also voiced support for Germany's far right
- 1:05Alternative for Germany Afd party.

- 1:11The nationalist party with anti immigration policies has surged
- 1:15in German opinion polls but remains shunned by mainstream
- 1:19parties. Germany is set to hold elections
- 1:21on February 23rd following the collapse, which calls coalition
- 1:25government, and Musk's endorsement has sparked heated
- 1:28debate about foreign influence in domestic politics.
- 1:31It declined to offer any further comment.
- 1:34We reached out, they wouldn't comment.
- 1:36This is not Musk's first foray into European politics.
- 1:38Last year, he harshly criticized Germany's handling of migration
- 1:42issues and more recently called for the dismissal of Italian
- 1:45judges over rulings that questions of legality of
- 1:48government measures against irregular immigration, further
- 1:51polarizing public opinion. But his involvement in global
- 1:54political affairs. Back in the United States,
- 1:57Musk's proximity to president-elect Donald Trump and
- 2:00his apparent influence on the incoming administration have
- 2:03alarmed everybody on the left. Since November, Musk has been a
- 2:07regular fixture at Trump's Mar a Lago estate, attending meetings
- 2:11with foreign leaders and playing a prominent role in
- 2:13international discussions. Notably, Musk accompanied Trump
- 2:17on his first post election foreign trip to Paris, where he
- 2:20met President Emmanuel Macron during the ceremonial reopening
- 2:25of Notre Dame. He has also praised Italy's
- 2:28Prime Minister Georgia Malani, calling her a precious genius in
- 2:32public remarks at a black tie event in New York.
- 2:36Perhaps most concerning to critics was Musk's participation
- 2:40in Trump's initial call with Ukrainian President Vladimir
- 2:44Zelensky after the election. Now, such instances have raised
- 2:48questions to Musk's Musk's potential to shape US foreign

- 3:54efficiency. Brian Hughes, a spokesman for
- 3:56Trump's transition team, dismissed concerns over Musk's
- 4:00potential conflicts of interest, describing him as a what's in a

- 4:07bureaucracy. Now, Musk's prospective role in
- 4:11recommending major cuts to government jobs has further

- 4:25is mounting. Outgoing Senate Foreign
- 4:28Relations Committee Chairman Ben Cardin criticized Musk's

- 4:33president-elect has already profited him.
- 4:35A question whether Musk's private dealings in China and
- 4:39everywhere else could compromise his objectivity in advising
- 4:43Trump on foreign policy, they said.
- 4:45I don't want a transactional person who's going into a
- 4:48country to see if he can make a deal.

- 5:22Now in the UK, Musk similarly made waves by criticizing Prime
- 5:27Minister Akir Starman, labeling Britain a tyrannical police
- 5:31state and endorsing calls for a new election.
- 5:34His comments came amid escalating tensions in the
- 5:37country following days of far right violence.
- 5:39Musk further stoked controversy by promoting a video from a
- 5:42jailed far right activist and predicting that the country was
- 5:45on the brink of civil war. Musk's global reach, bolstered

- 5:53allowed him to amplify his political opinions in ways that
- 5:57few private citizens have ever done.
- 6:00This influence was on full display in the United States
- 6:02earlier this month when Musk played a key role in derailing a
- 6:06funding bill. Some Republicans impressed by
- 6:08Musk's political maneuvering have even suggested he should be
- 6:11made speaker of the House. However, critics worry that Musk
- 6:15is assuming an unofficial role akin to a shadow president,
- 6:19raising thorny questions. Musk shows no signs of
- 6:22retreating from his political advocacy.
- 6:24On Friday, Nigel Farage, the leader of Britain's right wing
- 6:28Reform UK party, revealed that he had met with Musk at Trump's
- 6:31Florida residents to discuss financial support for the party.
- 6:35The post, which included a photo of himself with Musk, fueled
- 6:38speculation about the billionaire's intentions to fund
- 6:41far right movements worldwide. But Musk influence will continue

- 7:42to all those Gmail users who might get targeted by AI scams
- 7:47Now? Musk's statement about this
- 7:49being on the list really got me thinking about this.
- 7:52Elon Musk confirmed plans for a new e-mail service called X Mail
- 7:56through a December 15th statement on X in his response
- 8:00to a user suggesting an e-mail service to rival Gmail.
- 8:03Simply stated, yeah on the list of things to do.
- 8:07This marks his second public acknowledgement of e-mail
- 8:10service development plans in 2024.
- 8:14Now, the announcement arrives at a time when Gmail serves
- 8:17approximately 2.5 billion active users worldwide, representing
- 8:221/3 of the global population. Now, X maintains an estimated
- 8:26user base of about 600 million people, according to current
- 8:29analysis of platform metrics and public reporting data.
- 8:34Now. These numbers establish the
- 8:36context for understanding the potential reach and impact of a
- 8:40new e-mail service under Elon Musk's leadership and security.
- 8:43Researchers expressed particular concern about increasing
- 8:47sophistication of artificial intelligence powered phishing
- 8:49attacks. The accessibility and decreasing
- 8:52cost of AI tools enable cyber criminals to create more
- 8:55convincing fraudulent messages targeting users through multiple
- 8:59communication channels. The evolution in attack

- 10:34discussions about potential X mail functionality.
- 10:38XS current platform includes encryption features for both
- 10:41messages between verified users who meet specific criteria, such
- 10:45as following each other or accepting message requests.
- 10:48These existing security measures provide insights into possible
- 10:51approaches for X Mail e-mail service protection in the
- 10:54future. Now, X Mail might adopt A
- 10:57subscription based model similar to X's premium services.
- 11:01Though potentially offering an ad free experience to paying
- 11:04users. The approach could address

- 11:19But current X platform messaging features hint, if possible, X

- 11:26suggestions indicates plans for plain text DM inbox without
- 11:31complex threading or formatting. It's a simplified approach that
- 11:34contrasts with Gmail's feature risk environment, suggesting a
- 11:37focus on basic communication instead of an all together

- 11:45attacks comes back into play that requires users to maintain
- 11:48increased vigilance against social engineering attempts.
- 11:52Security experts emphasize the importance of verifying service
- 11:55announcements through official channels, not just an e-mail
- 11:59that you get, and avoiding unsolicited requests for account
- 12:02information. Never yet of anybody, your
- 12:04username or e-mail for anything, ever.
- 12:06These basic security practices become relevant during periods
- 12:10of speculation about new platform launches, so watch out
- 12:13in your inbox for things like X mail invites because they don't
- 12:16exist quite yet. The effectiveness of multi
- 12:19channel phishing campaigns is huge in comprising user
- 12:23accounts. Attackers often begin with
- 12:25legitimate looking emails before directing victims to secondary
- 12:28communication channels, increasing the complexity of
- 12:31detecting these. So they could go from X mail
- 12:34over to the Twitter platform, or from X mail to another platform,
- 12:40WhatsApp or any other platform texting anything, and then send
- 12:44you a file where they can possibly get all of your
- 12:47credentials. Or they could set up a
- 12:49fraudulent login page very easily.
- 12:52You could do that in about an hour all together with code.
- 12:56I've been a software engineer my whole life.
- 12:57How easy it is to make these things.
- 13:00You set that up, you could get a, a spoof domain for X mail in
- 13:04some way and you could hide it from the user and have them log
- 13:10in with their current Google credentials, their Gmail
- 13:13credentials. And then you know, you have
- 13:15their e-mail and password and a username and that's it.
- 13:20You can't you can't go back after they have access to all
- 13:23your records and the integration of AI and phishing attacks.
- 13:26Now it will begin a new era of fraudulent messages coming
- 13:33through. Criminal organizations now
- 13:35access tools capable of generating convincing content at
- 13:38scale. It's not just a single e-mail at
- 13:40once. You can send out thousands of
- 13:42emails at the same time. This technological advancement
- 13:47requires updates to security awareness, training, and
- 13:49detection systems. Right now, a technical
- 13:53specifications for e-mail platform security continue
- 13:56evolving to address emerging threats.
- 13:58Modern e-mail services implement various protection measures,
- 14:00including encryption, two factor authentication, and suspicious
- 14:05activity detection. Now these security features
- 14:08represent minimum requirement for any new e-mail platform
- 14:12entering the market, including Elon Musk's X Mail, and the
- 14:16development of new e-mail services requires careful
- 14:18consideration of existing security standards and
- 14:20protocols. Industry requirements for e-mail
- 14:23authentication and spam prevention and data protection
- 14:27influence platform design and implementation decisions.
- 14:30The technical considerations affect both development
- 14:32timelines and service capabilities.
- 14:35Developing an e-mail app that could handle 600 million users
- 14:43would be ridiculous. You'd have to have a very
- 14:46talented team and also a lot of time on your hands to to build
- 14:51this thing out. From my experience, I've, I've
- 14:54done enterprise development before and one, you need a very
- 15:01technical team to build this out.
- 15:04And also you need a lot of time. You know, you can rush things,
- 15:07you can just sprints as much as you want.
- 15:09At the end of the day, it's going to take a lot of time to
- 15:12build this. So if you get any sort of things
- 15:14in your e-mail about X mail, do not open them, do not even look
- 15:18at them. They're not even a thing yet.
- 15:21We have to educate each other because we're all fans of E line
- 15:24here, or at least we are. We we want to hear what's going
- 15:27on with Elon. You might not be a fan of the
- 15:30guy, but there could be an X mail invitation waiting in your
- 15:35inbox. So educate each other, educate
- 15:39ourselves and don't be scammed, please.
- 15:42The announcement of X Mail development plans from Elon
- 15:45introduces both opportunities and security risks for
- 15:49everybody. We have to pay careful attention
- 15:52to our own user protection while cybercriminals exploit public
- 15:56interest through increasingly sophisticated AI attacks on
- 16:01anybody that's interested in this new platform.
- 16:05Tesla could potentially be launching the robotaxi service
- 16:10in Austin, TX. What's fascinating is they've
- 16:14always actually been in talks with city officials since May,
- 16:18and it makes you wonder what they're cooking up behind the
- 16:21scenes, doesn't it? While Tesla initiated
- 16:24preliminary discussions with Austin, TX officials regarding
- 16:28its autonomous vehicle technology program, marking a
- 16:31potential milestone in the company's ambitious robotaxi
- 16:34development plans. Now, Tesla's representatives
- 16:37have engaged with the city's Autonomous Vehicle Task Force to
- 16:41establish safety protocols, operational parameters for their
- 16:44future self driving fleet. How these discussions was began
- 16:49way back in May demonstrate Tesla's strategic approach to
- 16:52implementing autonomous driving before anybody else actually
- 16:56knew about it. The automotive innovator
- 16:58unveiled its cyber cab prototype during a highly anticipated robo
- 17:02taxi event in October, showcasing a vehicle designed
- 17:04without traditional driver controls such as pedals or
- 17:07steering wheels. Now, Elon Musk announced
- 17:10intentions to introduce an unsupervised version of the
- 17:13company's driver assistance technology in both California
- 17:17and Texas by 2025. And this timeline positions
- 17:20Tesla to compete directly with established autonomous vehicle
- 17:24operators like Waymo, which currently operates robotaxi
- 17:27services in multiple states. And Tesla current Full Self
- 17:31Driving or SFDFSD package, despite its name, requires
- 17:35constant driver supervision and attention.
- 17:39The system utilizes a cabin facing camera to monitor driver
- 17:42engagement, distinguishing it from the company's Envision
- 17:45Robotaxi service, which aims to operate without any human
- 17:49intervention. This is a leap forward.

- 26:20that we are issuing is well ahead of the Starship Flight 7
- 26:23launch date and is another example of the FA as commitment
- 26:27to enable safe space transport. The upcoming mission will see
- 26:31Spacex's Starship and Super Heavy booster lift off from Boca
- 26:35Chica, Texas before separating and the Super Heavy booster will
- 26:38return to the launch site for a catch attempt by the launch
- 26:41tower. While Starship will follow a sub
- 26:44orbital trajectory culminating any water landing in the Indian
- 26:48Ocean West of Australia. Now this flight mirrors past
- 26:52missions, introduces upgraded vehicle configurations which
- 26:55could enhance its performance. Still a test vehicle of course,
- 26:59but one of the most notable elements of the FA as
- 27:02announcements is the inclusion of a new failure mode
- 27:06exceptions. Now historically the FAA has
- 27:09permitted certain test induced failures without requiring
- 27:13formal mishap investigations as long as they do not result in
- 27:16injuries, property damage, or debris falling outside
- 27:20designated areas. Previous exceptions included
- 27:23failures like thermal shield damage during high heating or
- 27:26flat malfunctions during high dynamic pressure and for Flight
- 27:307 and beyond. Two additional exceptions were
- 27:33introduced, Raptor engine failure during an in Space burn
- 27:37and issues with Super Heavy systems during post booster
- 27:40catch. Vehicle saving of these new
- 27:43allowances reflect the experimental nature of Spacex's
- 27:46Starship program and grant the company some leeways more
- 27:50flexibility to refine its systems without immediate
- 27:53regulatory delays. Spacex's readiness for Flight 7
- 27:56hinges on vehicle in pad preparations, though.
- 27:59Ship 33, the first Block 2 Starship, recently completed
- 28:03engine tests at the Massey's test facility about a mile and a
- 28:07half away from the big facility down there at Boca Chica.
- 28:11Now. These included a spin Prime test
- 28:12to validate its upgraded engine plumbing and two static fires, 1
- 28:16involving all six engines and another simulating a deorbit
- 28:20burn with engine gimbling. Now these tests marked the first
- 28:24deorbit burn test since Ship 29, signifying the advancements made
- 28:29with Block 2 ships. Following these milestones, Ship
- 28:3233 was transported back to Mega Bay 2 for final preparations.
- 28:37Now the Block 2 configurations. Let's get into this a little
- 28:39bit. It introduces several
- 28:41significant changes to the Starship design.
- 28:44It's tanks have been extended, increasing propellant capacity
- 28:48from 1200 to 1500 tons, while modifications to the forward
- 28:53flaps aim to improve re entry performance and thermal
- 28:57protection. Now, this enhanced design marks
- 29:00a step forward in Spacex's iterative development process,
- 29:04even as the company continues to address challenges identified
- 29:07during earlier flights. Meanwhile, a Super Heavy booster
- 29:11designated for Flight 7 Booster 14 is undergoing its final
- 29:15adjustments in the Mega Bay. This includes the installment of
- 29:19a heat stage ring, a component designed to facilitate engine
- 29:23ignition while the Starship and booster are still connected.
- 29:27Spacex's decision to incorporate the feature aligns with this
- 29:30ongoing commitment to optimizing the performance of the Starship.
- 29:34Now, the launchpad in Boca Chica, also known as Starbase,
- 29:38has seen significant upgrades in recent weeks.
- 29:40While much of the refurbishment has been completed, tasks such
- 29:43as repainting the pad's legs and routing cryogenic pipes to the
- 29:47new tanks remain unfinished. It is unlikely that these new
- 29:50tanks will be operational in time for Flight 7, though, given
- 29:54the complexity of integrating them into the orbital tank farm.
- 29:58Nonetheless, SpaceX is expected to conduct a tanking test or
- 30:02even a full wet dress rehearsal before the launch, given the new
- 30:05configurations being introduced with Ship 33.
- 30:09Now let's go back to the FAA. The decision to streamline
- 30:12licensing process is a great thing, and it's reflecting of
- 30:18their broader efforts to accommodate the new commercial
- 30:21space industry. In October, SpaceX faced delays
- 30:25in obtaining a license modification for Flight 5 due to
- 30:28the FA ES need to conduct additional Sonic boom
- 30:31environmental assessments. The approval arrived just one
- 30:34day before the schedule launched, prompting concerns
- 30:37about regulatory inefficiencies. Elon Musk took to X and berated
- 30:42the FAA for this, and the FAA has since worked to accelerate
- 30:45its review processes with a Flight 7 license modification
- 30:49issued well ahead of the anticipated launch window.
- 30:52Now, despite these regulatory improvements, though, challenges
- 30:54still remain. SpaceX must address potential
- 30:57safety concerns while maintaining the experimental
- 30:59nature of the Starship. Under Part 450 of Title 14 of
- 31:04the Federal Aviation Regulations, mishaps are defined
- 31:07and monitored rigorously, even as the FAA grants certain
- 31:10exceptions for test induced failures.
- 31:13These exceptions are not unconditional, though.
- 31:16Any incident resulting in safety risks or injuries will still
- 31:19trigger a mandatory investigation.
- 31:22Now, looking ahead, SpaceX aims to meet a tentative launch date
- 31:26of January 11th or January 15th. We're not quite sure yet, and
- 31:30this timing aligns with a NASA request for imaging support from
- 31:34Perth, Australia, suggesting that the flight could occur
- 31:37during daylight hours to facilitate visual of the actual
- 31:40landing of the Starship. If successful, Flight 7 will
- 31:44represent another incremental step in Spacex's effort to
- 31:47develop a completely fully reusable rocket system capable
- 31:51of supporting missions to Mars. SpaceX will continue the
- 31:54preparations, though the focus remains on assuring vehicle
- 31:57reliability, operational safety before the flight.
- 32:00The Ship 33's upcoming launch will test its enhanced design,
- 32:03but also if I can see of the FAA's regulatory adjustments.
- 32:08With ongoing improvements to licensing processes and vehicle
- 32:11configurations, the flights could provide valuable insights
- 32:15for the future.
