- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show with your hosts Adam Todd
- 0:16Speaker 1: Brown and Connor mcspatn. Hi, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy The Show.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I'm your host, Adam Todd Brown. Welcome back to guest
- 0:38Speaker 1: host month. Connor mcspadden is on the road for most
- 0:42Speaker 1: of April. I'm on the road in May, so we
- 0:44Speaker 1: have to record a bunch of episodes without each other.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Absence makes the heart grow fonder, Connor, are we miss you, baby?
- 0:54Speaker 1: You out there on the road. The page, Dog, Turn
- 0:58Speaker 1: the page, just like the Bob Seeger song. That's Vanessa Gritton.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Hi, it's me, that's laughing from.
- 1:04Speaker 1: The brew Haha podcast from the Take a Walk podcast
- 1:07Speaker 1: returning soon. I just saw the new logo for it.
- 1:10Speaker 1: It's so snazzy, isn't it.
- 1:11Speaker 2: We're muppets, so cute. I know. We're just getting a
- 1:15Speaker 2: few more episodes into the belt. We've found a studio
- 1:18Speaker 2: to record Take a Walk at skip Town actually where
- 1:21Speaker 2: You're a pop show is coming up out.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Oh no shit, Yeah, that's awesome.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fun.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Can we record all the podcasts? I'm not on there
- 1:29Speaker 1: just actually, I think most.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Just to stay out of your house.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Most of the podcasts. I'm not on. Do not record
- 1:34Speaker 1: here except for a best bad movie ever.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and take a walk occasionally whenever we're just kind
- 1:39Speaker 2: of in a pinch for a studio.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and I don't mind.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I mean I get a pit winter. Oh my fucking god,
- 1:46Speaker 2: I forgot your present again. This is like the eighteenth
- 1:48Speaker 2: time I did this. It's been since Christmas.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Just this ongoing thing where you keep forgetting it is
- 1:53Speaker 1: kind of the gift.
- 1:54Speaker 2: At this point, I literally put it in front of
- 1:58Speaker 2: my front door because I've forgotten your Christmas gift every
- 2:02Speaker 2: time we've seen each other, which is so many times
- 2:05Speaker 2: since Christmas.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll get it together someday.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yep.
- 2:09Speaker 1: So we're talking about Marilyn Monroe today.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I am so psyched.
- 2:13Speaker 1: This is exciting. This is a conspiracy. I haven't looked
- 2:16Speaker 1: into much because I just assume it was probably the Kennedy's.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that's my usual conclusion. Well, my dad a Cia
- 2:25Speaker 2: Kennedy's are Cia or honestly.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Why not then Kennedy related exactly. Yeah, It's usually like
- 2:32Speaker 1: with Marilyn Monroe, someone kissed, so many people wanted to
- 2:35Speaker 1: kill her.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah, And when it comes to the Cia and the Kennedy's.
- 2:38Speaker 2: It's like that commercial with the hardshell tacos and the
- 2:40Speaker 2: soft cell tacos. It's like, why not.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Bothelligence community starts cheering in the background, holds that guy
- 2:49Speaker 1: on their shoulders. I know the commercial.
- 2:53Speaker 2: We're in the same direction. Uh No, I my dad
- 2:56Speaker 2: and I grew up obsessed with the Kennedy's theories. Yeah,
- 3:00Speaker 2: so this this was a fun one for me because literally,
- 3:04Speaker 2: I think there's one theory, maybe two at the most,
- 3:07Speaker 2: that aren't Kennedy's related, having to do with Monroe.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going through I think seven different theories related
- 3:14Speaker 1: to the death of Marilyn Monroe. They're all from one article.
- 3:17Speaker 1: There's a bunch of different articles and they all cover
- 3:19Speaker 1: the same thing. So we're just going to go through
- 3:22Speaker 1: seven of them. And we've done this on the show before,
- 3:25Speaker 1: just kind of way which one sound the least and
- 3:28Speaker 1: most plausible. Yeah, and I'll cite the source for this
- 3:32Speaker 1: article in a minute, because there's just one sentence in
- 3:35Speaker 1: it that I want to quote verbatim because it's one
- 3:37Speaker 1: of my favorite sentences ever written about a dead celebrity.
- 3:41Speaker 1: So the official explanation of Marilyn Monroe's death. She was
- 3:45Speaker 1: found dead August fifth, nineteen sixty two, at her home
- 3:48Speaker 1: at twelve three h five fifth Helena Drive in Los Angeles.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I wonder if that's still standing.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I want to check it out, because I that's one
- 3:56Speaker 2: of the locations that I haven't visited. That's a dead
- 3:59Speaker 2: celebrity location.
- 4:00Speaker 1: And if it's not standing, why isn't Trent Reznor recording
- 4:03Speaker 1: an album there or something obnoxious like that.
- 4:05Speaker 2: At least taking a piece of memory and being like,
- 4:07Speaker 2: I understand the implications by the way, my door is
- 4:09Speaker 2: still from it.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I hit a thumb drive with my new album
- 4:14Speaker 1: at Marilyn and Roe's house. Ah, why'd you do that?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Just put it at a Starbucks? Uh. And the cause
- 4:21Speaker 1: of her death was ruled it was a barbiturate overdose
- 4:25Speaker 1: and it was ruled a probable suicide, which that parts.
- 4:29Speaker 2: That's not enough for me. Yeah, that's never enough for me.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Probable means that that kind of implies they just walked
- 4:35Speaker 1: in and went probably, you know.
- 4:38Speaker 2: It's gonna be a long day. It's probably she did it.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Got all the drugs in her system and stuff, and
- 4:43Speaker 1: she's a crazy broad. I mean, this was she had
- 4:47Speaker 1: she had to be basically rescued from a mental institution
- 4:51Speaker 1: by Joe DiMaggio at one point, me too by Joe.
- 4:55Speaker 2: DiMaggio, specifically Joe Demaggio.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Amazing, he got me out, fucking eighty year old Joe
- 5:00Speaker 1: Demaccio beat someone to death care slowly.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Carrying me out like it's a master and commander kind
- 5:07Speaker 2: of deal.
- 5:10Speaker 1: So yeah, that so she was having like mental health
- 5:13Speaker 1: issues allegedly at the time, and health issues, and there
- 5:18Speaker 1: was no note, which people always point to as a
- 5:20Speaker 1: weird thing. It's not that weird, but not a weird thing.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Only about forty percent of suicide, Yeah, cases involve someone
- 5:26Speaker 1: who left a note very very willing.
- 5:28Speaker 2: They don't have notes or sometimes the notes just aren't found.
- 5:32Speaker 2: It's it's not an every time case, and people like
- 5:36Speaker 2: to assume someone always.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Does or they're not necessary.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of the times it's not necessary.
- 5:41Speaker 1: There.
- 5:42Speaker 2: It's not an explanation kind.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Of thing, no, what they're going or going on.
- 5:45Speaker 2: It's an impulse. Yeah, So it's not as black and
- 5:50Speaker 2: white as people seem to assume when it comes to
- 5:52Speaker 2: leaving like a pretty bow as you decide to schedule
- 5:54Speaker 2: mortal coil, right.
- 5:56Speaker 1: And so that's kind of the official explanation, she just
- 6:00Speaker 1: took too many pills and died. And there are tons
- 6:03Speaker 1: of theories around her death. Like you said, most relate
- 6:07Speaker 1: to the Kennedys. She was famously This is a quote
- 6:12Speaker 1: from the article that we're pulling this list of theories from,
- 6:16Speaker 1: and I want to read it verbatim. She was famously
- 6:20Speaker 1: rumored to be sleeping with President John F. Kennedy while alive.
- 6:24Speaker 1: And I love that they put while alive at the
- 6:28Speaker 1: end of that because if they don't add that, this
- 6:31Speaker 1: is a whole new scandal, like she died and then
- 6:33Speaker 1: she was fucking Kennedy. Weird.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I mean, if anybody could seemed like she had it
- 6:40Speaker 2: in her I laughed so hard when I read that
- 6:42Speaker 2: entire section. I had to keep going over it now.
- 6:44Speaker 2: It was just kind of like, man, who knew there
- 6:47Speaker 2: might be somebody out there? Or is just like he
- 6:49Speaker 2: fucked the ghost of Maryland.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Coming next week on conspiracy show, A JFK fucked the
- 6:56Speaker 1: Ghost of Maryland. So uh, most of these theories. This
- 7:00Speaker 1: is from an article on the rap dot com called
- 7:03Speaker 1: seven conspiracy theories about Marilyn Monroe's death from Murderous Kennedys
- 7:08Speaker 1: to UFOs.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Oh, I'm so excited for the latter. Also shout out
- 7:13Speaker 2: to the rap for keeping the same headline article title
- 7:17Speaker 2: all throughout the entire life of the articles.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Uh, that's commendable for sure. So she was introduced by
- 7:24Speaker 1: the to the Kennedys by Frank Sinatra, which I did
- 7:26Speaker 1: not know.
- 7:27Speaker 2: I don't know they is.
- 7:28Speaker 1: But that's all the more ominous because he was not
- 7:31Speaker 1: a good dude. No, he had some unsavory connections for sure.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a beautiful blue eyed monster.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Yeah kind of Yeah. And it's claimed that Joe DiMaggio
- 7:49Speaker 1: never forgave Sinatra for introducing Marilyn Monroe to the Kennedys.
- 7:53Speaker 1: And in a twenty seventeen book called Dinner with Demaggio,
- 7:58Speaker 1: Memories of an American Hero, it's claimed that Demaggio knew
- 8:03Speaker 1: who killed her.
- 8:04Speaker 2: And this is tell us, where'd you go? Joe DiMaggio.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Oh, he's about to tell us. This is one of
- 8:10Speaker 1: my favorite quotes I've ever read. This is allegedly a
- 8:13Speaker 1: quote from Joe DiMaggio. The whole lot of Kennedy's were
- 8:17Speaker 1: lady killers, and they always got away with it. They'll
- 8:20Speaker 1: be getting away with it one hundred years from now.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I always knew who killed her, but I didn't want
- 8:27Speaker 1: to start a revolution in this country. I'll go to
- 8:30Speaker 1: the grave regretting and blaming myself for what happened to her.
- 8:35Speaker 1: So right there, Kennedy's did.
- 8:36Speaker 2: It right there immediately.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Okay, so I'm not trusting Joe DiMaggio. Who the fuck
- 8:40Speaker 1: do I trust exactly?
- 8:42Speaker 2: And also, yeah, uh, their entire bloodline is stained with
- 8:47Speaker 2: young lady blood, whether it's within their own ranks, I mean,
- 8:50Speaker 2: fucking Rosemary. Rosemary Kennedy was done real dirty, wanted to
- 8:56Speaker 2: act out and quoting I believe it was she close
- 9:00Speaker 2: the curtains when it was Sonny outside as one of
- 9:05Speaker 2: the reasons to lobottomize her.
- 9:07Speaker 1: That's insane, I know.
- 9:09Speaker 2: So you've got it from their own ranks. A chap
- 9:11Speaker 2: there's a chap Equittic.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Which is my favorite side detail about chap Equittic ted
- 9:16Speaker 1: Kennedy at one point. Who was the guy who was
- 9:19Speaker 1: there when? What was her name? I forget the name
- 9:22Speaker 1: of the woman who drowned at chap Equittic.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember her name because there's.
- 9:26Speaker 1: So I want to say, Martha. I think it's something
- 9:29Speaker 1: like that.
- 9:30Speaker 2: No, because Moxley was the one I believe that was beaten.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Oh that was beaten by a Kennedy. Yes, yeah, she was.
- 9:37Speaker 2: The fifteen year old that Ethel Kennedy's nephew's murder. Okay, yes,
- 9:41Speaker 2: the Scagle family, Michael Skakell and whatever his other two
- 9:46Speaker 2: brothers and name. They were Ethel's comic not involved in
- 9:51Speaker 2: the murder, not involved in order. These were three grun men.
- 9:55Speaker 1: See the glasses that guy wears. I'm not going to
- 9:59Speaker 1: write it all immediately.
- 10:01Speaker 2: He had to have been like six or y or
- 10:03Speaker 2: not even born.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I bet he was a hulking six year old.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Weren't we all? Maybe I was a terrifying six year old.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I mostly just ran into the street a lot. My
- 10:14Speaker 2: mom thought I had a death wish, but there was
- 10:16Speaker 2: a lot of death.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Yeah. And the thing about the reason I brought up
- 10:19Speaker 1: Kennedy My favorite side note about Kennedy. He wrote a
- 10:22Speaker 1: children's book at one point, Ted Kennedy, and it was
- 10:26Speaker 1: about his actual dog, Swallow the water. Before I tell
- 10:29Speaker 1: you this, do you know what his dog's name was? Splash? Why?
- 10:38Speaker 1: Why would the man behind Chappaquator have a dog named Splash?
- 10:42Speaker 1: Don't do that. Ted Kennedy.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Oh and their cat ice pick.
- 10:51Speaker 1: They had a guinea pig called rigged Airplane. What the fuck? So, yeah,
- 10:58Speaker 1: the Kennedy's. The Kennedy's do have an unfortunate history with women.
- 11:04Speaker 1: To put it mild, there's not great with the girls.
- 11:07Speaker 1: They're not They're lady killers in the bad way.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, not in the way you tell a six
- 11:13Speaker 2: year old when he like wears a bow tie for
- 11:15Speaker 2: the first time.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Unless that kid is their scaholder who fucking killed Martha Moxley.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I like that. This is your new conspiracy. A six
- 11:26Speaker 2: year old murdered a woman. I don't know if he was, said,
- 11:28Speaker 2: I don't know how time works exactly.
- 11:31Speaker 1: None of us could be.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Anyways.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Fun side note, I met Joe DiMaggio at a baseball
- 11:38Speaker 1: card convention in Gailsburg, Illinois in the late eighties. Really
- 11:42Speaker 1: nice dude.
- 11:42Speaker 2: How old were you?
- 11:43Speaker 1: I was, uh, probably nine or ten.
- 11:45Speaker 2: That's a good age for baseball card conventions.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Yeah. My dad used to take me to them all
- 11:49Speaker 1: the time because I collected baseball cards, and there would
- 11:52Speaker 1: always be these retired players who, which like fucking legends,
- 11:56Speaker 1: would show up to these things to sign autographs, So
- 11:58Speaker 1: I had like Joe Demagio autographs, Willie May's autographs, all
- 12:02Speaker 1: the fucking legends. It was great, and Joe Demagio was
- 12:05Speaker 1: really nice, so I believe him. But let's go through
- 12:08Speaker 1: these theories anyway, even though Joe Demagio cracked it. Yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 1: all right, So the first one she was killed by
- 12:16Speaker 1: Kennedy to cover up their affair. This was first put
- 12:19Speaker 1: forth by a guy named Frank A. Cappel in nineteen
- 12:23Speaker 1: sixty four. This article describes him as a right wing crackpot.
- 12:27Speaker 1: But I'm gonna be honest, I don't like this article's
- 12:29Speaker 1: tone in general as it relates to these theories, because
- 12:33Speaker 1: they seem to not want to believe that any of
- 12:35Speaker 1: them could be true, and that it's just that Marilyn
- 12:37Speaker 1: Monroe killed herself and that's boring. Yeah, that's a bullshit,
- 12:41Speaker 1: boring excuse. Yeah.
- 12:43Speaker 2: And also the reason a lot of people always bring
- 12:46Speaker 2: up the uh, she was killed by Kennedy to cover
- 12:48Speaker 2: up an affair, And the reason that one doesn't really
- 12:50Speaker 2: fly with me is I feel like she wasn't the
- 12:54Speaker 2: only one, so why just her?
- 12:58Speaker 1: Right? His theory claims she got really clingy, she just wanted,
- 13:04Speaker 1: got too attached and was maybe going to go public
- 13:08Speaker 1: with the affair, which, like, who the fuck didn't know
- 13:10Speaker 1: Kennedy was banging Marilyn Monroe? Did you hear how.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Happy birthday, mister president.
- 13:16Speaker 1: You don't do that when a dude's wife is in
- 13:18Speaker 1: the room. Jeez. Yeah. So, I mean it's possible, but
- 13:23Speaker 1: on the list of reasons Kennedy would have had it done,
- 13:26Speaker 1: this one I don't like. Yeah, I feel like Kennedy
- 13:29Speaker 1: was fucking a lot of women.
- 13:30Speaker 2: There had to be so much more. I feel like
- 13:32Speaker 2: there might have even been more at like a higher
- 13:36Speaker 2: media ranking. Probably, Yeah, that would have come out at
- 13:40Speaker 2: some point, and there was just because it's Marylynd. This
- 13:44Speaker 2: is one that's talked about, but she definitely wasn't the
- 13:46Speaker 2: only one. And if he wanted to cover up, he
- 13:48Speaker 2: probably would have gone. If you wanted to cover up
- 13:50Speaker 2: an affair, if you wanted to cover up anything else, murder,
- 13:53Speaker 2: probably an affair. That's that's a money that's a money
- 13:56Speaker 2: game when it comes to the Kennedys.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, And it's not like Marilyn Monroe was in
- 14:01Speaker 1: a great spot at that point in her life.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:04Speaker 1: So she's someone who probably could have just been paid off. Yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 1: if it came to that, I think killing her would
- 14:10Speaker 1: have been a little bit extreme, especially at that point
- 14:14Speaker 1: in history when like the Bay of Pigs had happened
- 14:17Speaker 1: not too long ago, the Cuban Missile crisis. Things weren't
- 14:21Speaker 1: great for Kennedy, so he didn't need a dead model's
- 14:24Speaker 1: blown on his hands.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Yeah that's problem.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, so we we agree not likely she was killed
- 14:33Speaker 1: by Kennedy for knowing too much.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Now that this is the one that I feel is
- 14:39Speaker 2: the most plausible.
- 14:40Speaker 1: This was first put forth by journalist Anthony Scadulo in
- 14:44Speaker 1: the nineteen seventy five book Who Killed Marilyn Monroe, and
- 14:49Speaker 1: he claims that she kept a detailed diary of incriminating
- 14:53Speaker 1: information she overheard from the Kennedys, and that Bobby Kennedy
- 14:58Speaker 1: had her killed when he found out. I feel like
- 15:00Speaker 1: that's the thing that we get a person killed.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I feel like it is because Marilyn Monroe, absolutely, because
- 15:06Speaker 2: she's always played off as like really stupid or really smart,
- 15:09Speaker 2: and I don't think it's either. But I do think
- 15:11Speaker 2: that this was a girl that knew how to cover
- 15:12Speaker 2: her bases.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Yuh.
- 15:13Speaker 2: And I think that if she lived in a time
- 15:16Speaker 2: of screenshots, she'd have all of them, and this was
- 15:19Speaker 2: her screen cap in the Fuck Out of the Kennedys. Right,
- 15:23Speaker 2: this was someone who knew how to cover her bases,
- 15:25Speaker 2: who knew how to cover her ass because she'd been
- 15:27Speaker 2: working in an industry full of shisty people already. That
- 15:31Speaker 2: absolutely feels like something she would have done as a
- 15:33Speaker 2: backup play.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I could say it's definitely more plausible than just
- 15:36Speaker 1: she got clingy, Yeah, because it's not like Kennedy was
- 15:41Speaker 1: the only like she was.
- 15:43Speaker 2: She has smarter, more talented a right.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Yeah, she had Joe Dimasio for an American hero.
- 15:49Speaker 2: She married an American playwright, didn't she?
- 15:51Speaker 1: She did Arth and Miller.
- 15:52Speaker 2: She she had she had a stable, right, and Kennedy
- 15:56Speaker 2: definitely wasn't the top of that stable.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Right. So but I could see this, I could see
- 16:02Speaker 1: if she was detailing information about the Kennedy's, and the
- 16:08Speaker 1: Kennedys do have a tradition of murdering women, sort.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Of specifically usually when it comes to hush hush things
- 16:17Speaker 2: and not a fair things. You walked in on something
- 16:20Speaker 2: you shouldn't have walked in on things, Right, did.
- 16:22Speaker 1: You hear that? From the scicles Hashtago skykicell kill JFK.
- 16:31Speaker 2: I like that. Every time I start to take a
- 16:34Speaker 2: sip of water, You're like, uncomfortable theory. Go.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I liked it. Every time we talk about something right
- 16:41Speaker 1: before recording and I'm like, all right, we won't talk
- 16:44Speaker 1: about that on the recording. It's immediately will kill Jacketdy,
- 16:50Speaker 1: Like when you drop the sub, the meatball sub in
- 16:54Speaker 1: the kitchen.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Oh, and I said, please don't tell anyone that you
- 16:57Speaker 2: still and then immediately the second you hit real, Vanessa
- 17:01Speaker 2: ate food off of the ground and didn't want me
- 17:02Speaker 2: to tell you. Yeah, immediately first line on that podcast. Yeah,
- 17:06Speaker 2: so I it's a meat palsub too. There is a
- 17:08Speaker 2: wet sandwich that picks up everything on the floor. And
- 17:11Speaker 2: you had winter at that time too. She's probably got
- 17:17Speaker 2: she remembers that I probably ate a lot of her hair.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Uh So, yeah, I could see her being killed by
- 17:26Speaker 1: the Kennedys for something like that. What about Robert Kennedy
- 17:31Speaker 1: staged her death to look like a suicide too elaborate. Yeah,
- 17:37Speaker 1: I mean it does kind of speak to what you
- 17:40Speaker 1: were saying earlier. Because this, I should add, this was
- 17:43Speaker 1: first introduced by a journalist nam Anthony Summers in the
- 17:46Speaker 1: nineteen eighty five book Goddess, The Secret Lives of Marilyn Monroe,
- 17:51Speaker 1: and what he claims is that she threatened to go
- 17:54Speaker 1: public with her affair with Bobby Kennedy, and instead of
- 17:57Speaker 1: killing her, he just kind of tried to shut her
- 18:00Speaker 1: up by enabling her drug and alcohol problem, which does
- 18:04Speaker 1: seem more like the route they would take.
- 18:07Speaker 2: This is the usual route that's done with famous young women.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Right, And this theory claims that they took that a
- 18:13Speaker 1: little too far and she overdosed and on the way
- 18:17Speaker 1: to the hospital she died. So they decided to turn
- 18:20Speaker 1: it around and take her back to her place and
- 18:24Speaker 1: stage it to look like a suicide.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Honestly, it could have been that or like an oops party. Yeah,
- 18:30Speaker 2: it like, I don't maybe maybe it wasn't an affair
- 18:34Speaker 2: that he was enabling. Maybe it was just they were
- 18:36Speaker 2: both doing a bunch of barbituates together, but one of them.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Oh deed, it could be. But are barbituates a party drug?
- 18:45Speaker 1: Like do you do those with people just so you
- 18:47Speaker 1: can like both fall asleep on the couch.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe they were coming down off of something.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that could be they.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Were coming down off of something. Maybe barbituits are fun
- 18:56Speaker 2: to pork on. It could have been there could have
- 18:58Speaker 2: very well been a few different reasons for them to
- 19:00Speaker 2: do it together. Yeah, Or it could have just been
- 19:04Speaker 2: her thing while they were hanging out and it was
- 19:06Speaker 2: just like, hey, it's it was a party of two
- 19:09Speaker 2: and as a party of one, help me jaeg or Hoover.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. Yeah. The only thing I don't like about
- 19:16Speaker 1: this theory is that there were a lot of people
- 19:18Speaker 1: at her house that night, and there's actually one theory
- 19:22Speaker 1: near the end the theory. I think. Here's what sucks
- 19:25Speaker 1: about the Marilyn Monroe theories to me, as much as
- 19:29Speaker 1: I want it to be Kennedy related, the one that's
- 19:32Speaker 1: not Kennedy related that will get to on this list
- 19:35Speaker 1: sounds like the absolute most plausible aw to me. I
- 19:38Speaker 1: know it sucks, but this one isn't bad because this
- 19:43Speaker 1: there is like there's I don't know if I have
- 19:45Speaker 1: it in the notes, but when you get into the
- 19:47Speaker 1: mob stuff, it's rumored that she was fucking someone in
- 19:52Speaker 1: the mob also, and that at one point he went
- 19:55Speaker 1: to her place and installed hidden cameras and caught Bobby
- 19:59Speaker 1: Kennedy doing drugs and having sex with Marilyn Monroe also,
- 20:03Speaker 1: so that could be I think that that's possible that
- 20:07Speaker 1: maybe they were just partying together and she died and
- 20:12Speaker 1: he decided to get the fuck out of there and
- 20:14Speaker 1: make it look like a suicide.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that one's a likely one for me, because that one,
- 20:19Speaker 2: I feel like, is something that has happened.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Before, and it's one that one of the common rebuttals
- 20:29Speaker 1: people have whenever you bring up a conspiracy theory or
- 20:32Speaker 1: one of the most common objections I guess is, oh,
- 20:35Speaker 1: but so many people would have had to lie for
- 20:37Speaker 1: so many years for that to work, And in this
- 20:41Speaker 1: you only need like five people. Yeah, and the government,
- 20:45Speaker 1: the Kennedy's, whoever you're talking about, they have enough money
- 20:49Speaker 1: to pay off three or four Marilyn Monroe employees for
- 20:53Speaker 1: a lifetime.
- 20:54Speaker 2: They have enough money to make me go by the
- 20:56Speaker 2: name Greg for the rest of my life and not
- 20:57Speaker 2: question it. Absolutely. It's like, OK, it's my name now,
- 21:00Speaker 2: I guess I'm Greg. I'm comfortable with it. Everyone act
- 21:03Speaker 2: like I've always been Greg.
- 21:05Speaker 1: That would be cool. Yeah, Like if someone just like
- 21:09Speaker 1: I would take that money changing my name, yeah, be like, no,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I'm Dave. Now give me.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Five million dollars and I will name myself Dave Matthew's Band.
- 21:19Speaker 1: I feel like that's a dangerous proposition that could make
- 21:21Speaker 1: you rich.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I know I'm scared and excited.
- 21:25Speaker 1: But no, you have to make your stage name Dave
- 21:28Speaker 1: Matthews Band.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I anger so many people.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Change your stage name to the Dave Matthews Band of comedy.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Everybody likes me, but they never have heard before. They've
- 21:42Speaker 2: heard me before. Ye stop, said Dave Matthews Band.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Well that was me doing like a Dave Matthews thing,
- 21:50Speaker 1: but just like just a few things about me.
- 21:52Speaker 2: I've heard one Dave Matthew's bands song in my entire
- 21:54Speaker 2: life because at me and you played it for me
- 21:58Speaker 2: and I could not recognize it, which is how we
- 22:01Speaker 2: found out I had gone the my entire life without
- 22:02Speaker 2: hearing a Dave Matthew song.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Oh not yeah. I think it was probably crash or something.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Like that, but I think it was sounded like a
- 22:08Speaker 2: sounded like a very It sounded like crash or brick
- 22:12Speaker 2: or any of those like one word aggressive names that
- 22:16Speaker 2: came to be songs for a while.
- 22:17Speaker 1: He's garbage and he probably killed John f. Kennedy.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Dave Matthews killed John F. Kennedy.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he was sent here. He was a South
- 22:25Speaker 1: African intelligence agent, because Dave Matthews is from South Africa,
- 22:30Speaker 1: in case anyone didn't know.
- 22:31Speaker 2: That where Steely Dan from also South Africa.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Property. So yeah, maybe Kennedy staged her death. All right,
- 22:42Speaker 1: now we're getting into the money. She was killed by
- 22:44Speaker 1: the CIA to hurt the Kennedys. Curveball, right. This was
- 22:50Speaker 1: a claim made by Matthew Smith in the book Victim
- 22:53Speaker 1: The Secret Tapes of Marilyn Monroe.
- 22:55Speaker 2: The lifetimeness of these book titles.
- 22:58Speaker 1: I know, it's great, Well it's Marilyn Monroe. They have
- 23:00Speaker 1: to bring in that. If you can't handle me at
- 23:04Speaker 1: my worst, you don't deserve me at my best, crowd,
- 23:06Speaker 1: If you.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Can't handle me my worst, you don't deserve me at
- 23:09Speaker 2: foaming at the mouth.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much. And if I heard that from anyone,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I'd be like, all right, cool, Yeah, I guess I
- 23:16Speaker 1: don't move on. Uh, she was killed by the CIA
- 23:21Speaker 1: to hurt the Kennedy's. His claim is that she the
- 23:24Speaker 1: CIA knew she was sleeping with Bobby Kennedy and killed
- 23:28Speaker 1: her in retaliation for the Bay of Pigs invasion disaster.
- 23:33Speaker 1: What I don't like that one now because the SI
- 23:38Speaker 1: they don't strike me as a retaliation type of outfit now,
- 23:43Speaker 1: like they wouldn't. I don't think they would kill Marilyn
- 23:46Speaker 1: Monroe because their feelings were hurt.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Yeah, they cut off resources. They don't like off off
- 23:52Speaker 2: a broad and I mean I use the off abroad,
- 23:55Speaker 2: but not for this, right, I.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Mean I do think they may be killed. Kennedy, Bobby
- 24:00Speaker 1: Kennedy and yeah, yeah, yeah, the Bobby Kennedy low key
- 24:07Speaker 1: is the way more interesting and terrifying Kennedy assassination conspiracy
- 24:13Speaker 1: theory because I think JFK was just accidentally shot by
- 24:17Speaker 1: a secret Service agent who was responding to Lee Harvey
- 24:20Speaker 1: Oswald actually firing shots.
- 24:22Speaker 2: That's my favorite theory.
- 24:24Speaker 1: It's so good. It's because it's so compelling. Yeah, if
- 24:27Speaker 1: you watch the documentary, that guy researched that shit for
- 24:29Speaker 1: fifteen fucking.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Years, because that also is kind of what happened in
- 24:33Speaker 2: Four Lions, And I've always wondered how they'd handle that.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I don't what's four lions?
- 24:37Speaker 2: You never? Okay? So four a Lions? Is that rism
- 24:40Speaker 2: Metters In that movie, it's about four Zmed.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Who is that he's a rapper. Oh, I don't know.
- 24:46Speaker 2: It's a really funny, dark comedy about four jihad terrorists
- 24:51Speaker 2: that are trying to plan a bombing. But it's like
- 24:54Speaker 2: the hot fuzz of terrorist movies. Oh yeah, it's very
- 24:58Speaker 2: ridiculous and very funny. And in one of it, when
- 25:02Speaker 2: they're both changing their minds about suicide bombing a marathon,
- 25:07Speaker 2: but there's already been a call on them, and as
- 25:09Speaker 2: they're running, one of the agents called to the scene
- 25:13Speaker 2: can't figure out what crazy costume they're in and what
- 25:17Speaker 2: a bear looks like because one of them's in a
- 25:20Speaker 2: bear costume, so he accidentally shoots an innocent man in
- 25:23Speaker 2: a Chewbacca costume because he thought Chewbacco is a bear.
- 25:27Speaker 2: So they have an argument o where he just shot
- 25:29Speaker 2: a fucking bystander because he couldn't tell the difference between
- 25:32Speaker 2: Chewbaca and a bear.
- 25:34Speaker 1: That's great, And then the end.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Credits are them like covering up that, oh they didn't
- 25:39Speaker 2: shoot a bystander and that's very similar.
- 25:42Speaker 1: To that theory. Yeah, that's great, it's you love it. Yeah,
- 25:46Speaker 1: if anyone hasn't said we did an episode about it.
- 25:48Speaker 1: If anyone hasn't seen it, watched JFK The Smoking Gun.
- 25:51Speaker 1: That is a really compelling theory. Yeah, and it What's
- 25:55Speaker 1: what I love about it is it makes everything else true.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Lee Harvey Oswald was a lone gunman, makes that true.
- 26:04Speaker 1: It's just a sad accident. And I fucking love that
- 26:07Speaker 1: theory so much. But the Bobby Kennedy assassination, that is
- 26:11Speaker 1: some CIA mind control weirdness right there. Like everything about
- 26:15Speaker 1: the the fucking every witness reports that sir Han Sirhan
- 26:20Speaker 1: was standing in front of Bobby Kennedy and shooting the
- 26:24Speaker 1: shot that killed Kennedy went in behind the back of
- 26:27Speaker 1: his fucking ear.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not someone that you throw fancy.
- 26:31Speaker 1: As if someone put him in a headlock and shot
- 26:34Speaker 1: him in the head basically, Yeah, possibly while hiding behind
- 26:38Speaker 1: the person that they were pretending was the killer. God,
- 26:41Speaker 1: I love that theory. It's so good, so good. So
- 26:47Speaker 1: so I buy that the CIA could be involved in
- 26:50Speaker 1: this at some point, but I don't buy that they
- 26:52Speaker 1: would do it for retaliation.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Yeah that's too that's too mean.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Girl, Yeah, that's and it's way too risky. Yeah, because like.
- 27:00Speaker 2: The payoff isn't worth what could come out, right.
- 27:04Speaker 1: And I feel the same way about the theory that
- 27:08Speaker 1: she was killed by the mafia to hurt the Kennedys.
- 27:11Speaker 1: The book Double Cross written by Chuck and Sam g
- 27:14Speaker 1: and Kanna, the brother and godson of the real Sam
- 27:18Speaker 1: g and Conna, who was a mob boss from Chicago.
- 27:20Speaker 1: This book claims she was killed on orders from him,
- 27:23Speaker 1: and it was allegedly meant to convince Robert Kennedy to
- 27:27Speaker 1: back off his crusade against organized crime. Seems like a
- 27:31Speaker 1: terrible strategy.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Also too risky for the payoff, super duper risky. The
- 27:35Speaker 2: mob is someone else that doesn't usually work emotionally. I mean, yes, no,
- 27:39Speaker 2: they when it's something like Marilyn Monroe, where somebody is
- 27:42Speaker 2: just very much in the spotlight, that's not that's not
- 27:46Speaker 2: worth the payoff.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Yeah, And if you look into organizations like this, you're right,
- 27:51Speaker 1: they try to take emotion out of it a lot.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Like even on the Wire. There's an episode of The
- 27:59Speaker 1: Wire where Stringer Bell kind of gets fleeced by this
- 28:03Speaker 1: was it a congressman or a state representative, I don't remember.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And this guy he gave all this guy, this guy
- 28:09Speaker 1: like all this bride money to get these permits, and
- 28:11Speaker 1: then the guy just took the money, and Stringer Bell
- 28:14Speaker 1: wanted to have this guy assassinated, and Avon Barksdale was like, no,
- 28:20Speaker 1: that's some day of the jackal shit. We would need
- 28:22Speaker 1: like actual assassins to do that.
- 28:23Speaker 2: You just got to take the hit.
- 28:24Speaker 1: There'd be so much heat on us for that. And
- 28:27Speaker 1: I can't picture the mob being like, you know, it'll
- 28:30Speaker 1: get him to back off us. Let's kill that woman
- 28:33Speaker 1: he loves. Yeah, no, that's how that would be. Such
- 28:38Speaker 1: like have they never seen a eighties revenge movie? I
- 28:41Speaker 1: mean by that point they hadn't.
- 28:42Speaker 2: But well, because then it's eventually the Mob and JFK
- 28:47Speaker 2: having to compete in a ski.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Race exactly, and that I would watch. But I feel
- 28:53Speaker 1: like if this theory was true, that would have happened. Yeah,
- 28:56Speaker 1: it would have progressed to the point where there was
- 28:58Speaker 1: a ski race.
- 28:59Speaker 2: And then how they win America?
- 29:01Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, is that spies like us?
- 29:04Speaker 2: I think, so.
- 29:07Speaker 1: It's a movie, We're sure, so yeah. I don't like
- 29:10Speaker 1: either of these revenge type theories emotional, they don't they
- 29:16Speaker 1: don't make sense, too messy. It's not what I would
- 29:18Speaker 1: do if I was running a government.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Feels too much like the fan fiction of conspiracy theories.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, or like the I know it's it's like
- 29:27Speaker 1: a conspiracy theory for housewives. Yeah like that. It's like
- 29:31Speaker 1: an investigation discovery kind of thing. And I don't think
- 29:33Speaker 1: that's what this is.
- 29:34Speaker 2: It's the kind of thing you'd read in prevention magazine.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, exactly, not for us.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Not for us, bigly your conspiracy theorists, right.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Prevention magazine. How to not get murdered by your famous boyfriend.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Also ala Vera good for IBS, page thirteen.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Well, now I need to know. Is it? It's great?
- 29:53Speaker 2: My mom drinks it so much, Oh manager, my mom
- 29:56Speaker 2: has ib.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Ai.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Mom.
- 30:01Speaker 1: I didn't know you could drink alovera. I mean it's
- 30:03Speaker 1: a liquid, I suppose. Yeah.
- 30:04Speaker 2: It comes in like juice forms sometimes and she drinks
- 30:08Speaker 2: it with like that and mint and some other stuff.
- 30:10Speaker 2: So it's like really refreshing as it goes down. I
- 30:13Speaker 2: get a shot of it every time I hang out
- 30:14Speaker 2: with her. It's pretty nice. I burp up freshness for
- 30:18Speaker 2: like hours.
- 30:19Speaker 1: And burn relief. Yeah, burn your arm, just throw up
- 30:22Speaker 1: on it.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I can heal.
- 30:27Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about there's two theories left. This
- 30:31Speaker 1: next one. It's so boring, but it also sounds like
- 30:36Speaker 1: exactly the kind of thing that happens in la I don't.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Want it to be true, but it feels like it
- 30:41Speaker 2: can be.
- 30:41Speaker 1: It feels very true. And this is the theory that
- 30:45Speaker 1: her suicide was actually a cover up by her doctors,
- 30:50Speaker 1: And this theory was put forth in the nineteen ninety
- 30:53Speaker 1: three book Marilyn Monroe The Biography that's a lofty title,
- 30:58Speaker 1: written by Donald and he claims her death was an
- 31:02Speaker 1: accidental overdose, but that it happened after she lied to
- 31:06Speaker 1: her doctors about how much medication she was taking. So
- 31:09Speaker 1: they end up they end up over prescribing her medication,
- 31:14Speaker 1: and she dies of an accidental overdose, and they being
- 31:19Speaker 1: afraid of the consequences of what might happen to them
- 31:22Speaker 1: as medical professionals.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Oh, Michael Jackson, Yeah, exactly.
- 31:26Speaker 1: In light of having killed one of the world's biggest stars,
- 31:29Speaker 1: they conspire with the housekeeping staff to stage it and
- 31:35Speaker 1: make it look like a suicide. And what's really interesting
- 31:39Speaker 1: is the housekeeper is mentioned specifically in this theory, and
- 31:44Speaker 1: if you look at the official explanation for it, she's
- 31:48Speaker 1: kind of the one who kicks things off because she
- 31:50Speaker 1: discovers at three am, by the way, which is a
- 31:53Speaker 1: weird time to check, I would think, but discovers at
- 31:56Speaker 1: three am that Marilyn Monroe's door is locked and she's
- 32:00Speaker 1: not responding when they knock on the door or yell
- 32:03Speaker 1: for her, and then that kicks off the police coming
- 32:05Speaker 1: over and kicking the door in and finding her body.
- 32:08Speaker 1: But it was the housekeeper basically who first alerted authorities,
- 32:12Speaker 1: and it's thought that she died somewhere between eight pm
- 32:17Speaker 1: and ten pm, and so between that time and three am,
- 32:22Speaker 1: then the housekeeper decides to check on her and finds
- 32:26Speaker 1: that she's not answering.
- 32:28Speaker 2: That makes it more likely because at any point, maybe
- 32:30Speaker 2: the housekeeper could have discovered her sooner, or the doctors
- 32:33Speaker 2: could have and that's when they came up with a
- 32:36Speaker 2: theory between the two I mean, but the story between
- 32:39Speaker 2: the two of them. And then she eventually calls at
- 32:40Speaker 2: three am, because it's more likely she comes up at
- 32:42Speaker 2: eight or ten with like, what, that's a usual tea
- 32:46Speaker 2: time for someone before bed, that's a usual glass of
- 32:49Speaker 2: water turn down service time, and right, that's that's right
- 32:55Speaker 2: when a housekeeper would discover someone, not three am, And
- 32:59Speaker 2: that's enough time for her and the doctors to have
- 33:02Speaker 2: had that conversation before they call authorities.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Right, and especially when you consider that also in the
- 33:08Speaker 1: official explanation, they say there was her housekeeper was asked
- 33:13Speaker 1: to stay there because specifically because they were worried about
- 33:18Speaker 1: Marilyn Monroe's mental state and they wanted someone to stay
- 33:22Speaker 1: and watch her. So this woman didn't check on her
- 33:25Speaker 1: between ten pm and three am, And like, I feel
- 33:29Speaker 1: like that's not likely.
- 33:30Speaker 2: And here's the thing, not giving away my hand too much,
- 33:33Speaker 2: because I don't know, fucking people have heard me on
- 33:35Speaker 2: this network before. I've been on suicide Watch before. And
- 33:38Speaker 2: when someone is assigned to you, they check on you
- 33:42Speaker 2: every hour. You can't close your door. They don't let
- 33:47Speaker 2: you close your door, right, And it's not so much
- 33:53Speaker 2: a case of like I'm going to check on you
- 33:54Speaker 2: every few hours. It is hourly. Yeah, like constant sound
- 33:58Speaker 2: around your door, especially if like you're assigned to someone
- 34:02Speaker 2: by a doctor, right, there's a no closed door policy.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. So it as boring as this theory.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Is, it's the most likely.
- 34:12Speaker 1: It feels like the right one because it.
- 34:15Speaker 2: It feels like a doctor fuck up.
- 34:17Speaker 1: And it also at that point, the keeping a secret
- 34:20Speaker 1: part becomes so much easier. Yeah, because you're not protecting
- 34:24Speaker 1: some high level government secret. It's more like some I
- 34:28Speaker 1: know what you did last summer shit where you just
- 34:30Speaker 1: all share a secret.
- 34:31Speaker 2: It's a housekeeper that maybe didn't check on someone for
- 34:33Speaker 2: two hours, and some doctors that didn't verify information. Right,
- 34:36Speaker 2: It's it's it is a point A point B secret deal. Yeah,
- 34:39Speaker 2: and that is really easy to keep from slipping.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Yeah, And god damn it, that feels like the most life.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I know because the more I think about it. Also,
- 34:47Speaker 2: it really could have been either mistake. It could have
- 34:49Speaker 2: been the housekeeper who is basically placed there who didn't
- 34:51Speaker 2: check on her enough or let her close the door.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Or it could have been the doctors who both overdosed
- 34:56Speaker 2: her and were also aware of that and basically just
- 34:58Speaker 2: told people that the housekeeper was suicide watch.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Yeah, or you know, just a combination of both. Yeah,
- 35:03Speaker 1: Like where they're.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Just like, well, everyone slipped, it's.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Not my faults, your fault, and they're like, no, it's
- 35:07Speaker 1: not my fault, your fault. Oh, let's make it look
- 35:09Speaker 1: like a suicide. Let's shake on this Yeah, so I
- 35:12Speaker 1: actually like that one. I like that theory as being
- 35:17Speaker 1: a believable one. And it's not that scandalous either.
- 35:20Speaker 2: It's not easy to keep from leaking.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Right, right, So that's the one that's most likely. But
- 35:28Speaker 1: god damn it, I want this seventh and final one
- 35:30Speaker 1: to be the right one. So fun she was going
- 35:33Speaker 1: to expose the truth behind UFOs, Vanessa she knew, and
- 35:37Speaker 1: the CIA can't let that happen. They've proven time and
- 35:40Speaker 1: again when they killed Bill Clinton, when they killed Hillary Clinton,
- 35:43Speaker 1: when they killed Trump. They haven't done any of those things,
- 35:46Speaker 1: which is always surprising to me. But they all know.
- 35:49Speaker 1: They all know. And there's rumors that the Kennedy assassination
- 35:54Speaker 1: was related to UFOs and that he wanted to uh
- 35:58Speaker 1: there was a memo that went out not long before
- 36:02Speaker 1: he was assassinated that was basically him wanting information from
- 36:07Speaker 1: the CIA about UFOs so he could share it with
- 36:10Speaker 1: Russia and start collaborating with Russia so we could work
- 36:13Speaker 1: on this threat together. And the CIA was.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Like, oh, no, friend.
- 36:18Speaker 1: We don't think so. And if you've ever seen the
- 36:23Speaker 1: documentary Unacknowledged, which is on Netflix, it was I believe
- 36:28Speaker 1: the number one documentary on iTunes or Apple Movies whatever
- 36:36Speaker 1: the fuck of twenty seventeen, and it's this guy named
- 36:40Speaker 1: doctor Stephen Greer, who he really has his shit together.
- 36:44Speaker 1: He doesn't seem like a crazy person, and he well,
- 36:47Speaker 1: he is super duper convinced that it's not a matter
- 36:51Speaker 1: of will we ever get evidence that aliens are real.
- 36:54Speaker 1: He's more like, well, we got it already, and people
- 36:56Speaker 1: just refuse to believe it or don't want to believe.
- 37:00Speaker 1: And he actually mentions in that documentary that Marilyn Monroe
- 37:05Speaker 1: was planning to leak information about UFOs and so the
- 37:10Speaker 1: CIA had to kill her. But here's the thing. Would
- 37:14Speaker 1: anyone have believed it from Marilyn Monroe at the time?
- 37:17Speaker 2: Gray mantas free, Like would they They could have just Wow,
- 37:25Speaker 2: they could have just been like a drunk, that's the
- 37:27Speaker 2: easiest thing, like.
- 37:29Speaker 1: All right, crazy lady.
- 37:30Speaker 2: We love discrediting women. It's so easy to.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Do it is, and that's what like the CIA was
- 37:35Speaker 1: good at discrediting by then, they had already been through
- 37:38Speaker 1: the Wormwood scandal. Yeah, so they they could have just
- 37:41Speaker 1: been like.
- 37:42Speaker 2: What, she's drunk, she's a starlet. They're all nuts.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Oh, Marylyn you're crazy.
- 37:48Speaker 2: They're really good at like taking someone like fucking It's
- 37:52Speaker 2: simple as like Amy Winehouse saying I'm in trouble. They're like,
- 37:55Speaker 2: she's not. Like we've done We do that all the time.
- 37:58Speaker 2: That would have been so easy to do with Marylyn
- 38:00Speaker 2: and instead of killing her.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't as much as I want it to be,
- 38:05Speaker 1: I don't think she was killed over UFOs call me crazy. Yeah,
- 38:10Speaker 1: maybe I'm the crazy.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Maybe that's what she meant by pear shaped in that song.
- 38:15Speaker 1: It could be, could be I've seen some pear shaped aliens.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Happy Birthday reagionally, God.
- 38:26Speaker 1: I want that one to be truth. A bug on
- 38:31Speaker 1: my computer ste not in my house. Pal probably just
- 38:34Speaker 1: flicked it into my drink, uh exactly. It's like, uh
- 38:39Speaker 1: snow piercer. So that's the Marilyn Monroe rundown of theories.
- 38:46Speaker 1: Maybe we'll settle on a really compelling one and do
- 38:49Speaker 1: a deeper dive into it at some point.
- 38:51Speaker 2: But I have out doctors.
- 38:52Speaker 1: That doctor's thing seems really fucking compelling to me. It
- 38:56Speaker 1: just seems so natural and easy and exactly what kind
- 39:02Speaker 1: of smart people would do. Kind of smart but also
- 39:06Speaker 1: awful people. It seems like exactly what they would do
- 39:10Speaker 1: in that kind.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Of situation doable for the time period.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it didn't didn't take a lot of extra. She
- 39:15Speaker 1: was already dead, so it didn't take any extra, didn't
- 39:20Speaker 1: take any murder. They didn't have to kill her. They
- 39:21Speaker 1: just had to stage it to look like a suicide,
- 39:24Speaker 1: which would have just been a matter of dumping out
- 39:26Speaker 1: whatever pills she didn't take, Yeah, or dumping them down
- 39:30Speaker 1: her throat either. Well, no, that wouldn't work because they
- 39:32Speaker 1: wouldn't dissolve at that point.
- 39:34Speaker 2: That's just like putting candy in a shallow piata.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I've watched enough forensic files.
- 39:39Speaker 2: I know same so much that it like frightened my parents.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like I could get away with some
- 39:45Speaker 1: shit now, but I don't, because that's how people always
- 39:49Speaker 1: get caught.
- 39:49Speaker 2: There's always like that getting cocky.
- 39:51Speaker 1: There's always that new thing and then it's like no, well,
- 39:54Speaker 1: actually your step counter, it's like what those are catching
- 39:58Speaker 1: people now? Yeah, it's always to technology. Technology advances always
- 40:03Speaker 1: lead to a lot of arrests. Be it people not
- 40:06Speaker 1: understanding that your cell phone can ping off a tower
- 40:09Speaker 1: right by where you dumped the body. Yeah, all that
- 40:11Speaker 1: shit DNA like, oh, I can't jerk off on a
- 40:14Speaker 1: corpse now phone compuritans.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Like, sa, do I find a blind spot in a
- 40:18Speaker 2: security camera?
- 40:21Speaker 1: Will Alexa tell you that I don't know?
- 40:23Speaker 2: Probably, and then she'll immediately like put me on a list.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Yeah. I unplugged by Alexa after it started playing automatically,
- 40:30Speaker 1: just started playing random music while I was recording creepy. Yeah,
- 40:34Speaker 1: I didn't want that in my house.
- 40:35Speaker 2: I still have my favorite thing to do whenever I'm
- 40:37Speaker 2: at a party and I see one just to make
- 40:40Speaker 2: people anxious is just run out to it, and you know,
- 40:42Speaker 2: Alexa kill the president and then just run off.
