- 0:36Hello, and welcome to episode one eighty seven. Fear now what,
- 0:47Oh my god, that's right, it's time for the weird Al Halloween crossover
- 0:53episode. I don't have anything else complete with evil laugh. No, this
- 1:00is gonna be fun. This is gonna be a lot of fun. Super
- 1:03stoked about playing these games with these people. Back again with us are Lauren
- 1:10from the beard Ol podcast and her husband Russ. Welcome, Thank you.
- 1:18This gives you, guys at least one day of us not going hey,
- 1:21when can we come on there next? We get a break for a little
- 1:26while. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Also, Steve, did you just
- 1:29say a week? He's led down? Sorry, I know you want a
- 1:36little more. I know you want a little more. But give them what
- 1:40they get, you know. It's it's fine, fair, it's all good.
- 1:42So I should also point out at the top of the show we'll talk
- 1:46more about it towards the end, I'm sure. But they're also part of
- 1:49the Great Infectious Groove YouTube series of incredible videos take a dive into like just
- 1:57about every form of music you can imagine, including weird al and of course
- 2:01my baby's rush uh who I gave birth to. Literally, actually, today
- 2:10they posted a sexy Michael Jackson dance. I think really we recently got into
- 2:17the reaction game and uh we I picked a performance of human Nature from the
- 2:24Bad Tour that I just I thought the vocals were crazy on, like we're
- 2:29crazy good on. So I wanted Lauren to, uh to react to that,
- 2:34but then like Michael was making her feel things she didn't expect to feel
- 2:38dance and so literally in the middle of the video, she has like a
- 2:43moment where she's like, hold on, I need a minute. Oh,
- 2:46it's very okay, it's very cool. I mean I've never heard of Michael
- 2:50Jackson giving someone irritable bowel syndrome. Bah, and that's that's why he did.
- 2:57It was pretty bad start as you mean to go on. This is
- 3:07gonna be that kind of show and I'm so happy for it. So because
- 3:10Halloween episode, I'll do our introductions with a Halloween question. Lauren, what
- 3:15is your favorite Halloween costume that you've ever worn? Oh? Well, you
- 3:20know what, I feel like, I'm just gonna like lean into this particular
- 3:23skid. But I've been weird Al a couple of times, and two years
- 3:29ago I donned my weird Al costume and I went out to karaoke and did
- 3:35nothing but weird ouse, and my picture that year made weird Al's Halloween collage.
- 3:44Yeah, we did fantastic And it was not one of the tiny little
- 3:49features either. I was one of the big pictures that he put in his
- 3:51Halloween collage. And so I am tied for weird Al's favorite Halloween costume of
- 3:55twenty twenty one. Hell, yes, that's hot, and you can't.
- 4:01I'm sorry. Nobody else can top that? No, yeah, I know
- 4:04nobody can. And I legitimately put that honorific on my LinkedIn profile. I'm
- 4:09not even joking and their awards and accomplishments. I was like, weird else,
- 4:15that is super smart, and not just because it's an awesome thing to
- 4:18have, but because someone's genuinely gonna you know what, that's super interesting.
- 4:23What is this about weird Al that you know and they'll get to know you
- 4:25a little bit better, which is more like guys. So I think I
- 4:29think it's genius move. Really, Russ, what about you, What's what's
- 4:32your favorite Halloween costume that you've ever worn this is gonna seem well, everything's
- 4:38gonna be seen blame by comparison. But it was just a fun thing for
- 4:42me. Was uh, we went as a group one time to Chicago.
- 4:46We were there to see a band, and we were there over Halloween weekend,
- 4:50so me and three of my other friends all went as the movie Clue.
- 4:56Oh my god. Yeah. But like if you haven't seen that movie
- 5:01a lot, it just looks like for people, you know what I mean,
- 5:06Like it was awesome for me because it's in nice dress and one is
- 5:11a butler. Yeah, fifty percent of the night was people being like,
- 5:14I know you guys, I hope you guys are having fun with whenever you
- 5:16are, you know. And then but then the other fifty percent of the
- 5:19night was people being like clue right yeah. But the people that got it,
- 5:26we traded lines from the movie for like, you know, an hour
- 5:29each, you know what I mean. Yeah, yeah, so yeah,
- 5:31yeah all time period. God, you know how many times throughout the night
- 5:38it was like no, no, oh shit, it was so dump.
- 5:42But then like I say, so, we'd have this like huge awesome interaction
- 5:46with somebody and then like move on and the next guy would be like,
- 5:48so, what are you guys supposed to be? Be like? Never mind?
- 5:50Yeah, you know. It's so funny because before we sat down to
- 5:54record this smoke, you reached out to me and you were like, can
- 5:57we record video for this for our patron I was literally wearing a page I'm
- 6:00a shirt, the shirt that I sleep and I was like, because we're
- 6:02just you know, we're just gonna like be be one of these guys.
- 6:04And the shirt is literally the flames flames at the side of my face from
- 6:09that which Michelle got me from birthday. That's fantastic, but I wear it
- 6:16all the time, all right. Michelle got me that shirt for my birthday
- 6:21and it was in the house for like a day and Lauren was like,
- 6:25I'm seeing this. I literally now yeah. Yeah, I can't say as
- 6:29I blame you. Steve and A. I'm sorry you've already lost Yeah,
- 6:33obviously, but but Ogie, what would you say is your favorite Halloween costume
- 6:38you've ever worn? Does it have to be just Halloween? Everyday costume is
- 6:43pretty I have I have Moore costumes just on Halloween. My favorite Halloween costume
- 6:47I've ever worn it had been the Mad Hatter costume that my mother put together
- 6:53just because it was pieced together, like she pieced It's just something she wanted
- 6:57to do. She's like, hey, what are you wearing? What do
- 6:59you want to wear this year? Following? I'm yeah, I had nothing
- 7:00planned. She's like, I'm gonna make you wear the Bad Hatter from like
- 7:03the live action movie or whatever. Right, and she built it from the
- 7:08ground up and it looked really good. I'll have to find some pictures of
- 7:11it. Wow, it was pretty impressive. You still got the hat?
- 7:15I think, I know that's long gone. Yeah, I got, I
- 7:17got mothballed and then got eight by moths uh and finally Stevie, what about
- 7:25you me? Okay, I got two answers. One my personal favorites my
- 7:29raccoon onese costume because it's got pockets and I get a giant tail and it
- 7:32covers my head and it's like, it's it's adorable. I'm in a giant
- 7:35raccoon costume. It's I love it and it's comfy, like I can be
- 7:39outside in the snow and I'd be warm. It's awesome. Sweet. But
- 7:43the one that probably gave right, Yeah, they're the best. But the
- 7:46one that probably gave The biggest impact would probably be the year where I pretty
- 7:51much dressed up as my sister, had the heel the picture our friend was
- 8:00Bras and I stuffed the wig and everything, and then come to find out
- 8:03I had no idea. My sister shows up to the party with a bald
- 8:07cap on, glasses and stuff. She was doing it. Yeah, it
- 8:16was magi. That's so damn funny, crazy, It was amazing. It
- 8:22was easily one of the best Halloween parties ever. You know how hard it
- 8:24was to try to find a size fifteen like heeled boot, Like, No,
- 8:30I don't know. I can imagine, Yeah, it's no, Steve,
- 8:33I can't imagine. As for myself, I am pants Sarah and I'm
- 8:39your host for the evening. And I I've told the story before. I'm
- 8:43pretty sure when I and my friend Tiffany went as each other to a Halloween
- 8:48party, but it just wound up with me getting groped for literally the entire
- 8:52night. And I remember that that was not a I mean, that was
- 9:01a real eye opening experience for a lot of reasons. So, but I
- 9:07would say it's not my favorite Halloween costume. I think easily my favorite Halloween
- 9:11costume a thousand percent because it came with none of the awkward sexism or harassment
- 9:20or violation. I should say, because I was impressed at how forward some
- 9:26of our friends were. But in college amazing how much alcohol does yeah,
- 9:31yeah, in college it doesn't excuse it though. In college, I went
- 9:37to a Halloween party as part of a group, a planned group costume.
- 9:43We went as the the Gilligan's Island Strandies but dead dead, so we all
- 9:52had like you know, makeup, like blood and stuff, and but I
- 9:54was but I was the skipper, and my buddy Damien was was because he's
- 9:58tall and skinny. He was Gilligan. And we had someone as the professor,
- 10:01and we had a Ginger and a Marianne. It was one of my
- 10:05favorite costumes because I didn't have to do anything, like they literally had everything
- 10:09ready for me, like you know, and one of the girls did our
- 10:11makeup, and you know, so I basically just showed up. They put
- 10:16the costume on me and the makeup and then we went to a great party,
- 10:18had a great night. It was It was perfect and I didn't have
- 10:20to do anything. It didn't shell out for any of it. They were
- 10:22just like you got to be part of it, and I'm like sweet,
- 10:26So I just showed up out of nowhere, and yeah, it was all
- 10:30taken care of and we just had a great time and it was a lot
- 10:31of fun. And we won the best Group Costume award at the party,
- 10:35so that was cool. It's always fun to win. My birthday is two
- 10:41days before Halloween, so I've kind of always kind of commandeered the holiday for
- 10:45my own selfish needs and purposes, and so this year, actually, I
- 10:52love doing costume karaoke for my birthday. So this year I'm going to be
- 10:54Stevie Nicks and I just it just arrived yesterday. I bought a tambourine and
- 10:58I happen to have had already. I have the boots. I have boots,
- 11:01oh boy. And so I'm gonna be like a really spot on late
- 11:05seventies Stevie Nicks, and I'm very excited about it. Awesome. Yes,
- 11:11all right, I I can't think about that too much or else I will
- 11:16be having trouble with the rest of this podcast. So let's just move on
- 11:20the arousal. Yeah. Yeah, that's a big part of it. And
- 11:24the other part is the thanks for making the other the other. The other
- 11:28part is the irritable bowel syndrome. I let's get started. We have three
- 11:35games to play, uh Lauren and Russ. You guys are gonna play against
- 11:39our dream team, Stevie and AUGI here, so best of luck, although
- 11:41I'm pretty sure you're going to do well. Yeah, especially as all of
- 11:46these games are weird Al themed and someone has a slight advantage in that arena.
- 11:50But we'll see who who. But it should still be a good time,
- 11:56and I genuinely hope you don't already know all the correct answers to all
- 12:00right. Game one is the cost is correct, So excited. Our players
- 12:07are going to take turns bidding on weird Al memorabilia, trying to get as
- 12:09close to either the actual listed price or the winning bid in a previous auction
- 12:15without going over. Whoever's closest wins the listing for their team, and the
- 12:18team who wins the most listings wins the game and earns one episode point.
- 12:24So, uh Lauren and Russ, I will give it to you because you
- 12:26are our guests. Would you like to go first or second in the order.
- 12:31I don't think there's an advantage here, so let's be to be clear,
- 12:35we're going to We're going to stagger you, and we are going to
- 12:37rotate the order. So the question really is do you want to go first
- 12:41and third or would you rather go second and fourth on the first on the
- 12:46first bid, and then we'll rotate them from there. We'll go second and
- 12:48fourth, second and fourth. Okay, So Augie you're going to be our
- 12:52first bid or Russ you'll be second, then Stevie, then Lauren, and
- 12:54we'll rotate from there. We should play pure mid one day because I just
- 12:58looked at Augie and I had as a perfect condect. We're gonna We're gonna
- 13:01be a pyramid un Yeah, be great. I think he connected with the
- 13:09ins. Would be fun. But we're playing this, yeah, messing up
- 13:13my games. Thanks for talking about a bit of pyramid guys. Anyway,
- 13:18Yeah we have actually, yeah, there we have alright. So our first
- 13:24itema forbids is this beautiful signed guitar coming with an all access pass to a
- 13:30performance. In twenty eleven, this beautiful black unbranded electric guitar was signed by
- 13:35weird Al in Silver Pen and this listing was auctioned off in twenty twenty three,
- 13:39and it goes to the one of you who bids closest to the actual
- 13:41winning bid without going over Augie, start us off. Guitar, you say,
- 13:48yep, it was just signed by weird Al. Yes, not signed
- 13:52by weird Al, just weird Al. Is he Is it his guitar or
- 13:54was it? It doesn't say I have to say guitar. I have to
- 14:00I have to interject something very quickly. So this was his winitar when when
- 14:07when I read this game, I was like, well, this is cool
- 14:09because it's like our knowledge of weird Al can't really help this, right,
- 14:13because there's a sentimental thing with uh, with auctions, it's like what you
- 14:18think it should go for and what it really went for. Right, Okay,
- 14:20Now I do want to say I don't think I can tell you I
- 14:24don't have any recollection of this, but I do know that Lauren physically showed
- 14:28me this listing for this guitar, like this exact listing. Well, let's
- 14:33see, let's see. Yeah, I gave her a bunch of reasons.
- 14:37I was like, here's why you don't want to buy, right, do
- 14:39you remember that she's seen this exactly? We don't worry. Yeah, I
- 14:46mean, it's it's possible. I mean, Lauren could get It's just she
- 14:52goes lest thing that she physically showed me, because I'm going to I'm going
- 14:56to guess the monetary amount, and then all you have to guess is higher
- 14:58life lower. I believe that's how it worked. No, no, no,
- 15:01no, no, they all bid and whoever's closest without going over wins.
- 15:05Oh that's right. I don't know what game we're playing anymore. We're
- 15:09going to do that part later, and we have so many games now I
- 15:11get confused. Give me a bit, dammit, we haven't even started yet.
- 15:18Five grand, five thousand dollars, says Augie. Russ, What do
- 15:22you say? Eight hundred dollars? Says to Russ. Stevie, what do
- 15:28you say? One dollar? Stevie? Go's one dollar? The one dollar
- 15:31move. It's risky doing that when you're third. Laura. Now, Lauren,
- 15:35what do you say? I'm going to say, so, what were
- 15:41the bids again? I've got Augie bid five thousand, Russ bid eight hundred,
- 15:45Stevie bid one dollar. I'm going to say twelve hundred dollars, twelve
- 15:50hundred dollars dollars? Okay? Was there a part of you that wanted to
- 15:54just go two dollars in screw Stevio or yeah, but I know, okay,
- 16:00you know what, We watch a lot of prices right at our house,
- 16:02and when someone does that, she always goes you dick. Yeah,
- 16:06I guess, I guess. I guess you should have overcome that instant because
- 16:10the actual price was three hundred and fifty dollars. Stevie takes the Stevie takes
- 16:15the item. One item for Stevie and Augie. Nothing for Laura and Russ
- 16:19yet, but there's plenty of game left. Our said, I didn't want
- 16:22that anyway. I well, the best part is Error is going to buy
- 16:26all these prizes for us when we win them. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 16:32it's just going to be an ap parallel universe. Unfortunately, where I
- 16:34actually have the money to do that, I'll take peril. Al Russ wins.
- 16:47Our second item up forbids is this rare collection of albums. The Squeeze
- 16:51Box includes fourteen remastered studio albums and a bonus disc of rarities housed in a
- 16:56replica of Al's accordion. This out of print collection is pre owned but in
- 17:02good condition, and this listing can be yours if the cost is correct.
- 17:06Now this went up on eBay. Not really, you will excuse me while
- 17:08Lauren went to grab exactly that piece. Yep, I'm not surprised found the
- 17:15buyer. Now what was the price? This is an eBay listing and it
- 17:19went up in twenty twenty three. Russ, what do you think was the
- 17:25winning bid for this auction? It's a toilet, twenty three hundred, twenty
- 17:32three hundred, says Russ. Stevie, I'm gonna say nine twenty one,
- 17:38nine twenty one dollars, Lauren thirty four hundred dollars, thirty four hundred dollars,
- 17:45and finally Augie forty five hundred, forty five hundred dollars. Okay,
- 17:53Well, the actual final, final winning bid of this item was fifteen hundred
- 18:00dollars. So Steve wins this one as well. Oh my god, ah
- 18:03my god. And I just said that when when those came out, I
- 18:08mean, you guys already have it, so yeah, yeah, but they
- 18:11were three hundred bucks when they came out, and they go for like a
- 18:15ridiculous amount of money. Yeah, fifteen for like four grand on E day,
- 18:18I seen this was that high. This was a box set that was
- 18:22listed as pre owned, like it wasn't new. There was. There was
- 18:25a new one that went for like eight hundred dollars later on. People get
- 18:29really pissed when you own this box set, like really mad. I know,
- 18:32we make people in the weird al groups on the internet very mad.
- 18:34All the time. We were just listening to straight out of Lindwood Like it's
- 18:37no big deal. Yeah, I thought the point of being a super fan
- 18:42was to own everything, which is why I bought the goddamn set. Yeah.
- 18:47Sorry, that married him. See That's what I'm saying, though,
- 18:52It's like, why wouldn't you own it? Why wouldn't I marry that?
- 18:56Right, That's what That's what I'm saying on both counts exactly. All right,
- 19:00let's move on to item number three. Our next item I forbids is
- 19:03this unusual collection of handwritten lyrics fifteen pages of notes, sheet music and lyrics
- 19:11dating between nineteen seventy six and nineteen seventy nine from a young weird al with
- 19:17early drafts for his breakthrough Belvidere Cruisin What These pages were auctioned in twenty eighteen,
- 19:23and this listing ten be yours if the cost is correct. This time,
- 19:27we start with Stevie. This is difficult because it's actually pretty interesting and
- 19:33I'm not even a huge fan. The guy who won the first two to
- 19:37get you guys already won. Let's do fourteen twe fourteen twenty one, fourteen
- 19:47twenty one, says Stevie Lawrence. Two hundred and seventy dollars, two hundred
- 19:52and seventy dollars. Ougi the eight hundred twenty eight hundred, says Augie.
- 20:03And finally, Russ. I was totally gonna do the one dollar thing,
- 20:06but then you screwed it up because you went to the god damn it,
- 20:11one billion. Could you see six hundred and fifty three and one half dollars?
- 20:17What six hundred and sorry fifty cents? Okay, something A round that
- 20:21up to six fifty four there, we only do whole dollars here, sir,
- 20:26and I'm round up. The actual final winning bid of this item was
- 20:33nine hundred and eighty four dollars. Russ wins this one. It was that
- 20:37extra fifty cents. It was the extra fifty cents. I have slowly clenched
- 20:41it for it. Okay. So it's two items to one and Russ and
- 20:45Lauren are coming back. Here's item number four. The next item of forbids
- 20:48is a collection of weird Al items. These items include weird Al's eponymous album
- 20:53Even Worse a Dare to Be Stupid, and vinyl and cassette copies of N
- 20:59three D. Now why is this collection unique, you might ask, because
- 21:03these were all on screen in an episode of the Goldbergs. These props were
- 21:07sold at auction in twenty twenty three, and this listing goes whoever's closest to
- 21:11the winging bid without going over so prop items for the Goldbergs of weird Al's
- 21:17albums. It's not of a haw and our first bidder will be Lauren.
- 21:25Ooh ooh, so you've got the Goldberg heat going for it. And I
- 21:33know, I know, I say this all the time, but you're so
- 21:36gosh good at this arn that's true. But like there's like so many wrenches
- 21:41in this, like the Goldberg sting. Yeah, the Goldberg super fan could
- 21:45want it? Are they even real? Or are they props? Right?
- 21:48Oh, you're yeah. And again I'm sorry for my language, but you're
- 21:52gos you are good at this. And you know what, because I know
- 21:56that the albums themselves, and the fact that they were on the Goldbergs.
- 21:59I know, three hundred and fifty dollars, Lauren goes three hundred and fifty
- 22:03dollars, Augie, what do you say, wow, three hundred and fifty
- 22:07you say, I'm gonna go higher? Five hundred, five hundred, says
- 22:11Augie Russ. Everybody keeping it tight here shit, eleven hundred and seventy four
- 22:18dollars. Eleven hundred and seventy four, says Russ. Stevie, what do
- 22:23you say, oh man, the goldberg eleven eighty eleven eighty, You're the
- 22:30goddamn warst I mean, I love you got this one. This game,
- 22:37well, I'm sorry, but nobody got it. Everybody went over. Everybody
- 22:41start again. Please bid lower than three hundred and fifty dollars Lauren, Wow,
- 22:47Wow, I thought the Goldbergs thing would totally make it a big deal.
- 22:51Okay, two hundred and seventy dollars two hundred and seven Lauren's old stand
- 22:55by two seventy Augie, what do you say? Seventy five seventy five?
- 22:59Says Augie Russ. What do you say, oh, watch this? Twenty
- 23:03seven dollars twenty seven dollars and see both there you got twenty seven. Oh
- 23:15that's so difficult. Let's go with would Lauren's to eighty? Wow? What
- 23:27a jerk. I mean he didn't go one dollar over, so I guess
- 23:30there's as well I have. I was being courteous, but the actual winning
- 23:36bid of this this selection of items was three hundred and forty four dollars.
- 23:41Lauren was just over it and Stevie just pipped her to the post with a
- 23:47ten dollars over bid. I'm sorry, like an asshole, want apologize how
- 23:51it does everything? That's all good, okay, flowing you into a false
- 23:56sense of security. Yeah, that's exactly how it's going. First game,
- 24:02be careful. Yeah, well you know they say blake twice if you're in
- 24:08a host situation. Also, all right. Our final item up forbids is
- 24:26this just plain weird item. This Hawaiian shirt branded with the Weird logo on
- 24:32the pocket was signed by both Daniel Radcliffe and weird Al, and it comes
- 24:37to the DVD and CD of the film, both of which are signed by
- 24:41weird Al himself. And this listing can be yours if the cost is correct.
- 24:45We start again with Augie two thousand dollars, says Augi. Russ I
- 25:00fifty five hundred and fifty dollars says russ Stevie sixty nine dudes, sixty nine
- 25:10sixty nine dollars. Yes, is that an honest bid or are you just
- 25:12staffing around? No dogs, Okay, it works, it's only you can
- 25:18let him change his manswer now, uh, Lauren, what do you say?
- 25:22Eighty dollars? Eighty dollars, pip steviee by eleven dollars. Well,
- 25:32the actual final auction price of this item was three thousand and fifty dollars.
- 25:38Augie wins the item. That's see, there's that xbact. It's got to
- 25:42be Harry Potter fans. Yeah, it's gotta be you are probably right.
- 25:49No, no, no, my weird she'll say it to weird l But
- 25:53that's right, no, no, exactly. That's the thing is, that's
- 25:57probably just not weird out. Everything else would have been two or three grand,
- 26:02like, that's got to be some Harry Potter super fan. That because
- 26:08Harry Potter factor screws me again. Well, unfortunately, this time Stevie and
- 26:18Augie hit Russell Lauren with an expelling armis and they have that's the unfortunate.
- 26:25That's great. They have they have congratulations, they have won the first game
- 26:33and get one fabulous you that's why. All right, well, that's all
- 26:40fair. But I mean there are guests we should be treating them better than
- 26:42this by losing. No, I'll say this, I'm just nearly as much
- 26:51as I was last time. Yeah, it's a good sign. I'm just
- 26:55dry. I'm just I'm just rooting for Russell Lauren. That's all another personal
- 27:00biased best wants and all studies like, well for there, right, So
- 27:07if you come back from break and our legs are broken, we all know
- 27:10how your hair looks long and luxurious. Right now, I took a shower.
- 27:18I want to take a nap. I have completely lost control. I'm
- 27:22going to go to a break before that is any worse. I will see
- 27:26you and a few bye. Hey there, I'm dating the host of beer
- 27:41in front. Sometimes the beer in front of you is the best one yet.
- 27:45I'll talk about some old school beers that maybe you've forgotten about, some
- 27:51new beers that have the potential to be a classic. I'll also talk to
- 27:56various people around the beer world and get their stories all about beer. That's
- 28:03beer in front and it's available on all of your favorite podcast apps. Welcome
- 28:18back to fear Out the the Weird Halloween crossover episode. Oh I forgot.
- 28:25This was supposed to be spooky kind of not really like I don't know,
- 28:29we don't really do spooky scares. Oh you know, you know? Do
- 28:33you want them? Do you want to sound spooky? Why? What?
- 28:37What's I don't I think they'll be able to hear us sound spooky? Don't
- 28:42be able to hear it sounds spooky? I'm a monster? No? Maybe?
- 28:47No? Oh? Whoa? Oh and now and now it's out.
- 28:56I heard I heard it for like a half a second, but he was
- 29:00there. Then he gets stolen of the monster away. Oh well, anyway,
- 29:07let's get back to our own brand of spookiness and weird. Al nice.
- 29:11Game two is gonna be Pitch Me Baby one more time. With Halloween
- 29:14quickly approaching, I need to get the next great costume onto store shelves as
- 29:19fast as possible, because we all know I am a costume magnate out of
- 29:23nowhere. But there you go. Problem is, my designer is a huge
- 29:29fan of the Beardel podcast, and as such, you know as you should
- 29:30be and as such, she just refuses to do anything that isn't weird Al
- 29:36related. So I need some help. I need you guys to brainstorm me
- 29:40a weird Out related costume that will sell, sell, sell, and I
- 29:44don't I don't want you to just say dressed like Weirdel. Okay, it's
- 29:48been done. I'll allow you to pitch if you want specialty costumes that Weirdel
- 29:53has worn, not his traditional look, but since I've already thought of those,
- 30:00that might be a weaker pitch. Surprise me. The best pitch will
- 30:04win two episode points for their team. So, Rust and Lauren, you
- 30:08lost the last game. You have the choice. Would you like to go
- 30:11first or second? Russ says second? Second? It is all right,
- 30:18steviean Aggie, which one of you wants to go first? Out of two
- 30:19of you? I'll go second. Okay, I'll think you all right?
- 30:23Throw Stevie in the first. Stevie, what do you got? All right?
- 30:26Luckily I came up with two just in case, but thank god.
- 30:30Yeah, the main one I'm gonna go with, and I think everyone will
- 30:33agree and everyone can actually see the relation between weirdl and this costume is the
- 30:40Twinkie Wiener sandwich costume. So you're you've seen the regular Wiener costumes out there,
- 30:45but this is the full on cut twinkie down the center like Wiener's in,
- 30:49or you get the fucking cheese whizz up in that pitch like, it's
- 30:52the full thing. Your eyes stick out right between where the whizz is.
- 30:55It's freaking perfect like, and everybody knows that, and everybody it is a
- 31:00delicious snack. So I think that that's the perfect weird al type Halloween costume
- 31:06this year. Okay, I can see why you went with that, and
- 31:10I respect it, although I had to admit I had flashbacks to the episode
- 31:12that we had uh Bridget and Aaron from the Back Coastal beachas On and Bridget
- 31:18had no idea what the hell you were talking about when you mentioned the t
- 31:25that was super interesting. You say that because as a die hard weird al
- 31:29my first my first response was son of a bitch, that's great. But
- 31:33then when you think of the general public, yeah, the hell was that?
- 31:37Yeah? All right, that's Stevie's pitch. I like it, Augie,
- 31:44what do you got? Okay? So I kind of had difficulty with
- 31:48this one because where you guys. I'm a fan of weird al, but
- 31:52clearly not as much of a fan of weird al as you guys are,
- 31:55because you probably know all the ship he wore by heart. So I kind
- 32:00of like I was trying to I'm like trying to think of, like what
- 32:04hasn't he wore yet? And I'm like, oh, I'll try this,
- 32:07see if this. Hopefully my partner would save me in this, but I'll
- 32:09try this. Has he tried going just as instead of weird al as normal
- 32:15Matthew, like straighten his hair, maybe put it up in a like a
- 32:22tie it back, you know, wear like a normal polo shirt, maybe
- 32:24like khaki jeans or something like that, and some sneakers. So your costume
- 32:30that you're suggesting I should sell on store shelves, h is weird hell hipster
- 32:36is just a normal guy, just a normal guy, just normal. I
- 32:42couldn't come up with anything that probably this man hasn't already done himself. I
- 32:46could have come up with like some weird crazy shit like a seven headed dildo
- 32:50headed hydra with like a prehensile tail that helicopters them around the room or some
- 32:54shit, but like you know, I don't know maybe he's not that all
- 32:59right, I think that might better than normal clothes. I'm just saying,
- 33:04all right, next time, I'll go for the seven headed dildo hydra.
- 33:07There you go, there you go? Now you know better? Maybe I
- 33:09don't know. I don't think. I don't think I still would have gone
- 33:13with that, because what is how does it relate to? Weird al and
- 33:15anyway? But anyway, it was worth the shot. And uh, I
- 33:20award you no points? Okay, yeah, Russe and Lauren? Which one
- 33:29of you two would like to go first? You go first? Okay,
- 33:32I feel suddenly very confident in Okay, you go, I will go first.
- 33:37Then it's fine. Imagine it a darkened wood, an oak tree,
- 33:43a hollow oak tree, the sound of leaves rustling around you, perched proudly
- 33:49upon the bench, feathers, feathers wafting in the wind. You see an
- 33:57owl, an owl? Who who is this owl? It's an owl in
- 34:01a Hawaiian shirt holding an accordion? What what kind of owl? You say?
- 34:08A weird owl? Thank you? Hell? Yes, weird? Are
- 34:15you gonna stand? Weird owl? That's pretty fantastic and I love it?
- 34:24Uh? Okay, Russ, best of luck, topping that weird Awl is
- 34:30for nerds. Nerds tend to be sci fi fans. I'm gonna mix weird
- 34:32Al with sci fi weird Al rank or Vic, the oh my god and
- 34:38weird ol brain meet up that you didn't know you needed. The saga begins
- 34:45here with the weird Al rankervic. Oh my god, it's the Ranker from
- 34:52Jedi, but with a mustache and all accordion and curly hair. O my
- 35:00god. I'd like to follow that with this You're welcome, Thank you my
- 35:09god. That was the crossover I didn't know I needed. I know.
- 35:15I mean, I'll be honest, I was sitting here thinking, like,
- 35:19my the thing I came up with that. I was like, I'll just
- 35:22give him the points if anybody comes up with this, I was gonna say,
- 35:27the Claymation dinosaur that rips weird l in half, so you just have
- 35:30half a weird El's body sticking out of his mouth. You just go as
- 35:36the Claymation dinosaur the Dress Park video. Yeah. Yeah, but I mean
- 35:45I gotta give it to weird El Brankervich, Like, that's just that's just
- 35:53I'm so excited. That's just fantastic that tickles me and such a weird way,
- 36:00but I love it it. Oh my god, could you imagine I'm
- 36:08struggling to come up with more Star Wars weird alt crossing, but it'd be
- 36:15funny as hell. He already did Yoda, so it's clearly him and Star
- 36:17Wars have a relationship. Yeah. Oh it runs deep, my friend.
- 36:22I don't know we'll ever see it, but yes, the weird al Rankovic
- 36:25is my favorite of those work pitches. So Russ gets the point. Lauren
- 36:30and Russ have two points. Stevie and Augie have one. This game will
- 36:35be decided by game three, which we're gonna play when we come back.
- 36:37Right after this, we up this program to bring you a new splash,
- 36:50Michael Jackson's ghost scene at a Yankees game, Cinnamon Toast Crunch now with a
- 36:55shrimp in every bite. Lil Uzi Vert's head Diamond has been sold on the
- 37:00dark Web. Stories like this and more can be found at the ever Trending

- 37:34Hey man, welcome back. It's time for Game three. Game three
- 37:38is going to be four out of five dentists. I'm gonna ask five survey
- 37:44questions such as what percentage of Americans believe in ghosts? And one team is
- 37:47going to guess the exact percentage out of one hundred. Their opponents will then
- 37:51decide whether they think the correct answer is higher or lower than that percentage.
- 37:54If they're correct, they win the survey. Otherwise the original guessers win it.
- 37:59Then the team's gonna swap roles and we'll move on to the next survey.
- 38:01And of course, each survey relates to weird Olt in some way.
- 38:06First team to win three surveys wins the game and earns three episode points and
- 38:10wins the episode. So ceeb and Agi, you lost last game. It's
- 38:15going to be down to you. Would you like to guess the exact percentage
- 38:19first? Or would you like to guess higher or lower first? Ah?
- 38:22You see this is the game I confused earlier. Yes, yes, indeed,
- 38:27I was thinking ahead. That's why I've been falling behind. That's my
- 38:31excuse, and that's what I'm meant, just stick and do it. I'm
- 38:35gonna get that tattooed on my butt. So what do you want to do?
- 38:40Let's guess hire lower. We're in this to win this show, and
- 38:44you want to go hire a lower. Okay, So Lauren and Russ,
- 38:46you're gonna be giving me the exact percentage to this survey, and I feel
- 38:52it's a very appropriate survey for Halloween. Weirdel. According to a poll on
- 38:55weirdlforum dot com, what percentage of weird al fans say that his scariest creation
- 39:05is the slime creatures from outer space? Now, to be clear, the
- 39:10options on the survey were slime creatures from outer space, radioactive hamsters from a
- 39:15planet near Mars, or other fill in your own name. What percentage?
- 39:23What percentage of fans went with slime creatures from outer space? Thirty yeah,
- 39:30twenty seven, twenty seven. Now you say it's the dumbster. Why why
- 39:35do you say it's a dumb survey? I want to hear because yeah,
- 39:38by far as scarious song, Well, it's the scariest song, sure,
- 39:43but this is specifically about like what creation, and I don't remember there being
- 39:46Actually it's a murderer on the Nature Trail to help. Was he just called
- 39:50the murderer? Yeah, the night Santa went crazy pretty scary. Yeah,
- 39:55I guess I don't know. Before you worry about the ex grooring version.
- 40:00Yeah, there is such a thing. This is weird crazy Santa. This
- 40:05is where you find out your weird AL community is a little well weird.
- 40:09No, we see what I have. This is not me just finding it
- 40:12out, all right. So you guys are saying twenty seven percent locked in
- 40:16Stevian, Augie, do you think that is higher or lower than twenty seven
- 40:20percent? It's got to be higher just based on the choices that are on
- 40:24that survey. It's got to be hired that I think. Okay, I
- 40:28agree, all right. So Lauren and Rust say that weird AL fans said
- 40:36twenty seven percent said that the slime creatures from outer space we're weird Al's scariest
- 40:40creation, and Stevie and August say it's higher. The actual percentage is forty
- 40:47four percent. I call so. I mean it might have been different if
- 40:53it was scary at song definitely Nature Trail. The hell wins by a mile
- 40:58of song. Yeah, songs never, I don't know. Yeah, ir
- 41:02regardlessly move on. It's fine, it's fine. Well, I'm sorry to
- 41:09upset you. Let's move on to our next survey and hopefully this will be
- 41:15a little bit less offensive. Uh, Steve and Augie, you are giving
- 41:20me the exact percentage to this pull plays and really enjoy this for a moment.
- 41:25According to a UGAV pull from August twenty twenty, what percentage of Americans
- 41:30said they would vote for weird Al Yankovic if he ran for president in twenty
- 41:37August twenty twenty. August twenty twenty, what percentage of Americans said they would
- 41:43vote for weird Al Yankovic if he ran for president on the same year when
- 41:46they voted for that body mcbok face name right. If it's not above do
- 41:52you think it's above half or do you think it's slightly below? Halff?
- 41:54Do you think it's above half? Yeah? What do you think in like
- 41:58fifties or sixties or sixty sixties? Sixty two? Okay, we got a
- 42:04number sixty two percent. I don't know, Stevie, Gota do Lauren and
- 42:09Russ do you think the actual percentage is higher or lower than sixty two percent?
- 42:14Who? What organization put out this survey? You gov. Now,
- 42:22now, now, now, do I feel in my soul that it should
- 42:23be one hundred. I'm going to say, as much as I want to
- 42:27live in the world, I don't feel like most people are on our level.
- 42:32I'm gonna I'm gonna, I don't want to believe lower, but I'm
- 42:36going to stay lower. You guys are going to say, throwing me for
- 42:38a hitch. Here is the fact that so many people voted for Kanye,
- 42:43but it wasn't anywhere near sixty. So, yeah, as much as I
- 42:46want to live in a world where it's sixty or above, it's gotta be
- 42:50lower, all right. Stevie and August say sixty two percent of Americans said
- 42:54they would vote for they could be ran for president. I'm just saying that's
- 43:00second. We agree, we all of us, all of us, and
- 43:05Lauren and Russ say it's actually lower than that. Well, guys, disappointingly,
- 43:10the actual percentage of Americans who said they would vote for weird al Yankovic
- 43:15if you ran for president was fifty six percent. So Lauren and Russ take
- 43:20it. We all went, yeah, more than half, but we still
- 43:28got it. We lost. Yeah, we lost the point, But that
- 43:30is a win. To be fair, I don't believe everyone was taking this
- 43:36poll seriously because they ran it for a ton of celebrities and eighty percent said
- 43:40they would vote for Morgan Freeman. So yeah, God, to be fair,
- 43:45he knows what he's doing. He's got the recommendation of all the celebrities
- 43:49I can think of. He's probably the most qualified. But that's fair.
- 43:52But weird al yank did get a fifty six percent, and I just dug
- 43:55the hell out of that, so I had to make it a service.
- 43:58Anyways, vote hard for a Freeman Yankovic ticket president. I hope you looked
- 44:04at went We looked at that and went go went oh god, I can't
- 44:07speak today. I hope you looked at that and went, man, I'm
- 44:09glad I have options. All right. Well, speaking of having options,
- 44:14it's a tie game. Both of you have taken one survey apiece. So
- 44:17we're going to swing back. Lauren and Russ. You're gonna give me the
- 44:20exact percentage TeV and Aggie, you're going to say higher or lower on this
- 44:22survey. Lauren and Russ. According to a straw pole held on reddits are
- 44:29slash movies subreddit, what percentage of those who watched Weird the Al Yankovic story
- 44:35say they would recommend it to others. Now, I want to be clear
- 44:39on this. There were three options. Yes, I would recommend it.
- 44:44Yes, I would recommend it, but only two fans of the subject matter
- 44:47slash genre or no. In this case, I'm only interested in the Yes.
- 44:52Unequivocally, I would absolutely recommend it to everybody. Okay, Okay,
- 44:57what percentage? What percentage? Yes, absolutely to everybody, exactly what I
- 45:02was thinking. We have decided on for forty percent? Okay, reasonable,
- 45:09Steevie and Aggie, what do you think? Do you think it's even a
- 45:13higher or lower than forty percent? It's just a very good number. Oh,
- 45:19I feel like it's almost use people are going to go to that site
- 45:22to watch that. The only reason why I say it's higher because typically people
- 45:27oftentimes recommend things that normally other people wouldn't think about. It's almost damn near
- 45:31one hundred percent. I assume for like people who would be interested, but
- 45:35for those who aren't, it's I'm thinking it's closer to like a fifty to
- 45:37fifty shot. I think it's higher, so higher, I think it's higher.
- 45:42Yeah, Okay, Well, Russell Lawrence said forty percent, and Sebe
- 45:47and Aggie say higher. The actual percentage of redditors on the r slash movie
- 45:53subreddit who said they saw the weird Al Yankovic story and would recommend it unequivocally
- 46:00sixty seven percent. Really yeah, yeah, then why haven't more people seen
- 46:07it? I cannot say I can tell you the breakdown. I believe it
- 46:12was sixty seven percent said yes, we'd recommend it, give it to me,
- 46:15We'd recommend it to everybody. I believe it was like thirteen percent said
- 46:19yes, but only if you're a fan of the subject or the genre,
- 46:22and then no, was like twenty percent something like that. So I thought
- 46:28it was like awesome that like most of them were like, yeah, everybody
- 46:30should see this. I'm shocked. Yeah yeah, So Augie and CEV have
- 46:36two surveys. Wrestl Lauren have one. Wrestle Lauren, you got to take
- 46:39both of these remaining surveys to win the game. Fingers crossed knock on wood,
- 46:45And here's a survey that should haunt Stevie and Augie somewhat, which is
- 46:51appropriate because they're going to give me the exact percentage. According to a UGUV
- 46:55pull from twenty twenty three. It's their favorite. What percentage of American millennials
- 47:00say they've never heard of weird al Yankobec? Never heard? Right, never
- 47:10heard? Okay, man, it's gonna be difficult. God damn it.
- 47:16All right, this is my favorite running joke over like the past four episodes.
- 47:22Goddamn millennials. There's always been one. Apparently, have millennials not heard
- 47:27of You're a millennial millennial just to give we're your millennials, to give Russ
- 47:35and Lauren the context. You just to get Rust and Laura in the context
- 47:39that they may not have that Stevie and Augie have. Is. We have
- 47:43done three prior surveys of a very similar manner. What percentage of American millennials
- 47:47said they had never heard of Joe Biden? The correct percentage was six percent.
- 47:52Then I asked what percentage of American millennials have never heard of Snickers candy
- 47:54bars? And the correct percentage was fourteen percent. And then it was Kim
- 48:00Kardashian and the correct percentage was like four for three. Yeah, so more
- 48:06more millennials have heard of Kim Kardashian than Joe Biden as much as that makes
- 48:09my God less than But that makes sense. Yeah, that checks out.
- 48:15So the question now is what percentage of millennials have never heard of weird Al
- 48:19Yankovic. Yep, you guys got to give me the percentage that will tell
- 48:22me higher because thirteen percent thirteen thirteen thirteen percent, say Stevie and Augie Russell
- 48:30Laren, do you think the actual percentage is higher or lower? We can't
- 48:38hear you. I know, we know that we did ourselves. You will
- 48:43excuse me while we confer. That's all right, sure, okay, okay,
- 48:46we'll just tap to answer for a few minutes. Here's the thing.
- 48:50I actually appreciated Aaron's flavor context because the Joe Biden number was low, right,
- 48:57Yeah, the Snickers number one. Also, Weird yankvicks more popular than
- 49:00the president. That's true too, But so it's how many haven't heard of
- 49:05him, so it's going to be low. They said, what y'all said,
- 49:12ten thirteen thirteen? So do you think it's higher than thirteen? I
- 49:17do. I'm okay with no, I'm fine, Okay, I'm just saying
- 49:24I don't like this because our whole game hinges on this question. And also,
- 49:30I mean like, what do I care if we win? I was
- 49:31gonna say, are you going to win? You know what I get to
- 49:36do. I get to go back upstairs and just sit in front of my
- 49:38computer. I don't anything. The records' records. You're going to have a
- 49:46no matter what. So let's believe in weird Alan say lower, Oh,
- 49:52I love that. I believe that. Yeah, yeah, do it all
- 49:55right? Hell's yeah, Steve mean Augie A thirteen percent of American millennials say
- 50:01they've never heard of weird Al Yes, and Russe and Lauren are keeping the
- 50:06faith and saying it's less than that, and Billy Joel Rust Lauren, and
- 50:13Pillagel, Rust, Lauren and Billy Joel all say they are keeping the faith
- 50:22in weird Al Yankovic. Well, I have to tell you that the actual
- 50:24percentage of American millennials who say they've never heard of weird Al Yankovic is sixteen
- 50:30percent. It's not lower, it's higher, bitch Cracker, I'm so sorry.
- 50:37That means Stevie and Oggie have taken a third survey and they have one
- 50:42league game in the episode. My god, oh my gosh. Thanks guys.
- 50:46That was close. But did we win sixteen percent. Yeah, that
- 50:52hurt a little bit that weird Els costs. Yeah, he's only slightly less
- 50:58well known than Snickers. Right here, I kind of I kind of want
- 51:01to take that. I'm not even mad at myself and I'm not mad at
- 51:06the outcomer any of it, because again, like I have to live my
- 51:09life under the like I have to believe in weird Al to move forward kind
- 51:15of principle. So you know what, I had a little bit of faith
- 51:19that maybe you know, it was higher than you know, at least close
- 51:22to Joe Biden. But you know, I'm not mad at it. I'm
- 51:25not mad at it. That's fair. I'm not mad. I'm not mad.
- 51:29All right, Well, do you want to I want to try and
- 51:30go out in a high note because I have one more survey that we're probably
- 51:35not going to get to use on another show. So sure, let's go
- 51:38for it. Lauren and Russ will have you guess the percentage, Steve and
- 51:43you guess hire Laura. All just for fun, of course, this is
- 51:46all just for fun, duh. According to a poll on weirdlfuim dot com,
- 51:52what percentage of weird Al fans say that if he went to Hogwarts,
- 51:55the sorting hat would put him into Hufflepuff House. I'm going to tell you
- 52:01right now that this answer was the definitive answer. This answer easily won the
- 52:07poll. But what percentage of fans say Hufflepuff House is the house for weird
- 52:13Out? Seventy two? Sure, seventy two say moren and Russ. Ye,
- 52:22if it's Hufflepuff. If this is basically puff Harry Potter fans reacting to
- 52:29this, that means there's probably a huge turnout for terms of poles go.
- 52:32So I'm thinking it's higher just because it just numbers alone. Because it'll it'll
- 52:37inflate the number, it will inflate the percentage. So I think it's just
- 52:40higher. Personally, I would say lower. I'm playing I was playing the
- 52:44numbers game. I don't actually know if it's higher. I think it's lower,
- 52:45But let's go with higher. Let's go to your instinct though on this
- 52:49one. All right, you're going higher? All right? Well, the
- 52:52actual percentage of Weirdol fans who said that if Weirdou went to Hogwarts he would
- 52:55be sorted into Hufflepuff House, I almost can't say it Hufflepuff House, huffle
- 53:04The exact percentage is fifty nine percent, so Wresse Laurn you would have won
- 53:07that one. Yeah, lost the game altogether, I am yeah, Well,
- 53:14you know, it's just for fun and a little bit of ego boosting.
- 53:17I personally do not want to support JK. Rowling anymore than I absolutely
- 53:21have to. But I did love Harry Potter when I was younger reading it,
- 53:25and I a thousand percent agree the Ufflebuff House is the kindest house by
- 53:31a like metric yard or margin. I never read one of their books,
- 53:37and that bitch, you ain't gonna get me to read one yet. All
- 53:38right, that's fair, that's fair. I just included the survey because I
- 53:43agreed. I was like, yes, Hufflebuff house a thousand percent. I
- 53:45want to guess. I did a survey and that's a house apparently I got
- 53:47put into. And I was like, oh, sweet sho oh, yeah,
- 53:50that's the house all the stoners go to. Oh really. You know,
- 53:53I have taken so many surveys trying to put me in a Hufflepuff house,
- 54:00and I always get the same answer and it never makes sense to me.
- 54:05Y'all, I'm Slytherin. Apparently that makes makes you a sleeper sill she's
- 54:14a sleeper, she's an she's a double agent for Oh, no, you
- 54:19don't I take I've taken them. I think it's because I'm a Scorpio and
- 54:24I'm just you know anyhow, but I've taken so many it's like, no,
- 54:28you're definitely Slytherin, and I'm like, okay, cool and asked for
- 54:32me. I have no idea what any of these words means. Harry Potter
- 54:38movie, if you were talking about Laura the Rings, he actually a hobbit.
- 54:44Yeah, I would be a hobbit. No, no, no,
- 54:49actually would be fine. But a wizard of thousand percent. I don't know
- 54:53if i'd be a good wizard or bad wizard, but that'd be one of
- 54:55them. Just up spells my yeah, right and my Maria anyway, Uh,
- 55:05congratulations. Commiserations to Rust and Lauren for not winning today. But it
- 55:15just means you're going to have to come back. We were here, we
